I MUST HAVE THEM #g5 toyline in general has been pretty disappointing and cheap. these have absolutely blown my expectations out of the WATER #not art #sunny is my favorite. her design is amazing #translating the rainbow hair stripe to be on her shirt instead. fantastic #only question is why is izzy the shortest one when shes the tallest pony? but thats not really a complaint. just an observation #look at izzys cute ass boots. the bunny ears....#the clothes are arill hasbro quality and will probably be papery and whatever #but im more focused on the actual designs since im just gonna be displaying them and not really touching them

i go back and forth on the cosmos arc of the idw mlp comics, but i do appreciate it for the really gorgeous watercolor pages, the cool panel layouts and this one panel

#also the baby screwball cameo #for the record my issue with the cosmos arc isn't that it puts discord as the powerless one in a relationship #i think that's interesting and that him finding himself in abusive relationships of some kind makes a lot of sense #considering everything with tirek #i don't even mind him having some clear moral lines in the sand because he always had some stuff he found distasteful #'but you wouldn't know that because /i don't turn ponies into stone!!!/' and all that #i just kinda dislike that it potrays all the actual harmful or cruel stuff he did as like #'oh actually that was his abusive ex gf!' like idk. let him have been dangerous as a villain #also it's one of those discord comics where the reference humor just gets to be a little much #ending one of the issues where discord's abuser finally finds him with him going 'she's right behind me isn't she' is certainly a choice

Last week I started drawing my old mlp ocs

Ive still got 2 more to do from this set! So back in like 2022 I think? Everyone was making pony fusions and I joined in the fun but this time around I wanted them to be their own characters instead of just fusions.

I added more, changed their colors, and altered their names a bit and they look sooo much better! plus I've got a better grasp of how their bodies should work!

I started feeling bad that I've been super into DC movies and comics this last month, but y'know what? Fuck that. I am living the teenage boyhood I didn't get the first go around.

Comics and superheroes aren't a boy thing, but they weren't really presented as an option for me. So now I'm going to like them in a BOY way and no one can stop me! MUAHAHAHAHA

I'm going to the COMIC BOOK STORE today! I'm going to be a weird little nerd about it! I want batman sheets! And spiderman pajamas!

#i got into the avengers in high school because the movies were so big everyone was expected to like it #and i did! and i found fanfiction and fandom at the same time and im so grateful for that #but sometimes theres this sad feeling when i remember all those birthday parties and shit with superhero themes #the boys that chatted about how their favorite superhero could totally beat up all the bad guys #it feels bad to describe this in terms of media consumption but its that dividing line in childhood #i was not treated by my parents as lesser but i was treated different. two clubhouses #theres more to it but i can best verbalize it by how i know all the barbie movies and have opinions on different my little pony generations #but my only knowledge of the ninja turtles is other people's backpacks as a kid #i wouldn't trade away my encyclopedic knowledge of breyer horse figurines pre-2013 but I'd've loved to have known wtf a bionicle was #i didnt want this to be sad. im just trying to figure out what kind of man i am and some of that is letting myself like things just because #not because theyre gendered but because i like it. i overthink my enjoyment of most everything and i want to learn to just be #so im going to be ridiculously excited about comics. and just be
