-there was no middleman for this poor boy he went straight to the army, training with other kids like 3 times his age

- he is very scared of his dad

- he knows all the laws to exist ever in a certain location. Like if he’s standing in California he’ll know the laws there and if he’s standing in Iceland he’ll know the laws

- he’s rlly good at chores. Like too good.

- he literally has no social skills

- he’s the kinda friend to drop random lore about themselves that makes you go ??!!!

Frank Zhang headcanons

For his bday he gets a ton of maple-themed gifts, even from ppl he barely ever interacted with.

He can't get rid of anything anyone ever gave him. Under his bed he has at least two shoeboxes of stuff given by others (including a flower Leo made out of steel while fidgeting, multiple rocks given by various ppl, a few handwritten letters from Reyna...)

He has such bad self esteem. He can make a perfect map from memory, and will genuinely assume its a normal demigod skill and everyone can do that even better than him.

(Yes also HC he's super good at cartography)

His childhood stuffed toy is a panda, and he has slept with it until he joined Lupa. His name is Bao.

Now Bao has his place on a shelf in Frank's bedroom.

Hazel adores Bao. Every time she's in his room she immediately goes to the shelf to take the panda in her arms. Then she holds him until it's time to go.

He sometimes turns into a mouse to travel in Hazel's pocket.

He did once or twice turned into a rat to bite Leo (poor Leo no one believe him when he talks about it.)

Speaking of Hazel, their first date was in a park. They bought ice creams (and sorbets) and just walked around while holding hands and chatting.

For their second date he took her to the movie theater, to see a Ghibli. He made sure to choose a relaxing and calm movie, because she has never seen a movie in colours and he doesn't want her to get overwhelmed.

He doesn't have dyslexia but he sucks at writting chiness characters. It looks so ugly. (yes his grandma did make him take calligraphy lessons no it didnt help much).

He and Percy sometimes spend half of the day hanging out and swimming around in the ocean. It's their bro time (Frank usually turns into a dolphin for that)

He often participates in training lessons (esspecially for newer recrcuits) and everyone loves him.

The toughest guys like it bc he's a very tough opponent and he's super skilled with every weapon.

And the more shy and unsure recruits love him bc he is so gentle and nonjudgemental (you've been here for 2 months and still havent found a weapon youre comfortable with ? its ok theres no rush. You trained like crazy and yet feel no improvement ? Dont be too harsh on yourself your effort will pay soon.)

What if Percy gets transported back to the PJO world pregnant with a child! Like, it could be from any one of her lovers (yanderes) and then Hera wipes her memory - which she freaks out because... What the heck?! She married her father, uncle, cousin, and an emo! And she had a child with them on the way - and Percy doesn't remember anything - or will she knows she's pregnant but have no idea how or who the father is (mother's instinct) - and she's like training with Lupa and arrives at Camp Jupiter with a infant that looks exactly like their father. in the og, sleeping beauty gets raped by the prince? king? i can't remember, but basically she gets pregnant and wakes up to the babies coming out or something like that

i think after hera kidnapped percy she put him to sleep for a few months and then sent him to the wolf house... soooo when our percy wakes, it'd already be four months. by then, there'd be a slightly noticeable bump

can you imagine waking up and realizing you're pregnant, but not even remembering HOW? were you raped? were you married? how did this happen?! our poor girl's gonna go through so much, because i doubt lupa would care. she's a greek who was sent by hera, she's not getting any mercy from the wolf.

she stays in the wolf house until june. she's out in the wilderness. no proper shelter. probably has to hunt for her own food. no doctors/hospitals around so no proper natal care too. she'd have to go through all that AND find a way to camp jupiter. i think the only reason she doesn't miscarry is cuz she's carrying a god's child 😣

she'll already be SIX MONTHS PREGNANT, by the time she gets to camp and even then she won't have a break cuz she's IMMEDIATELY going to be sent on a quest. i know camp jupiter is strict, but i doubt they'd be willing to send a pregnant girl to a dangerous quest, but they have no choice cuz it's mars telling them too. frank and hazel would be quite protective of her cuz of her state at least

and then she gets her memories back and realizes she's carrying a GOD'S baby and has a bunch god lovers, and none of them are here cuz they're from a new universe asehfahfgv

i feel SO bad for percy cuz one month later, in july, she and anthonius would fall into tartarus. she would be SEVEN MONTHS PREGNANT. and in fucking TARTARUS.

How did Beryl convince him to stay put, probably for a few hours, when she handed him over to Lupa? Did she say it was a joke? If so, how does Jason see "jokes" after he grows up, since in his last experience, his mother abandoned him in the cold of the night for hours while wolves surrounded him

She just... yelled at him? Threatened him? Maybe she said something mean, about how she only wants him to behave once? She wasn't a good mother, not a good person, it's not an impossible scenario. But she must have hurt him so much about it. A little baby, Holding back tears, in the cold and alone just wanting to make his mother happy for a second. He doesn't like it when she screams, it scares him.

He must hate being yelled at, probably hates being left alone and doesn't like the cold or The smell of drinks and perfumes. Everything reminds him of that last moment with her

What Im trying to say is: poor Jason :( (And Thalia, but I think her part is more about confrontation and neglect than literal abandonment.

The Valor Families Name Meanings

I feel like we as readers don't talk about how cool the Valors are, they're the oldest and first ruling family or the North. Not to mention Wolfric ascended the throne without any violence simply because his wife asked him too. Not to mention have mythical powers and being apart of many Northern Legends. So here's a little Valor application.

Wolfric Valor- A German name in origin meaning "Wolf Power or Wolf Ruler." Wolfric is an imposing man, one of the most gifted fighters the North had ever seen and the first to reunite the fighting clans. Wolfric often disregarded the opinions of his family, which in turn led to terrible consequences for the family. He claimed his youngest child Aurora was "A silly girl who knew nothing of love," because she did not want to marry Vengeance Slaughterwood. He also ignored his wife's worries that betrothing Vengeance and Aurora was a bad idea, in return his son Castor and Lyric Merrywood died. However he cares deeply for his family and made sure they were protected once they awoke from their sleep, he also made quick work in taking back the throne from the Acadians.

Honora Valor- A name Latin in origin meaning "Honor or Women of Honor," often giving to babies as a sign of cherishment. Honora is a great health and one of the Greatest rulers of the North, Evangeline herself said that Honor carried herself proudly, and looked like she belonged on a battlefield more than a ballroom. She is a Wise woman and knew that the choice her husband made regarding Aurora betrothal was a poor one. She cares deeply for her children going as far as bringing Castor back from the dead. Evangeline says that Honora is an excellent Hugger.

Vesper Valor- A name Latin in origin meaning "Evening Star or Evening Prayer," Vesper is the Roman meaning of "Hesperus" which is Planet Venus during Sunset. Vesper has an ability to see into the future and provide prophecies but cannot fully understand what they mean.

Tempest Valor- Orgining from early Gaul languages meaning, "Stormy or Turbulent," Tempest is the twin brother of Romulus, both brothers are said to be the creators of the Valory Arches along with incredible inventors. It is my belief that Tempest and Romulus built Castor's helm to keep him from feeding.

Romulus Valor- Latin in origin, meaning "Child of Rome," in myth and historical beliefs Romulus was the first King of Rome, and was raised by the she-wolf Lupa, in myth he was the twin of Remus. Romulus is the twin brother of Tempest Valor, both are renowned inventors in the North. It is my belief that Romulus and Tempest built the Helm so Castor could no longer feed.

Dane Valor- English and Hebrew in origin, Dane means, "From Denmark," in English but in The Torah and Hebrew tradition means, "God is my judge." The Danes were an ethnic group that were Northen Germanic but inhabited much of Scandinavia. Dane Valor is a shapeshifter, he commonly took the form of a dragon and no other shifting forms were mentioned. In many forms of Dane history their versions of dragons were said to be long and serpent-like along with being incredibly venomous. Dane is shown to be a brute in the series, and Evangeline is confused on why Lala liked him.

Lysander Valor- A Greek name meaning, "Liberator." Lysander is said to have the power of "Memories," the full length or direct skill of these powers was never explained. He was never mentioned much throughout the series but seemed to have a close relationship with his brother Dane; the two of them together seemed to be fond of tormenting Jacks.

Castor Valor- A name Greek in origin, "Beaver," Castor in the Mythos was the twin brother of Pollux, both brothers making up the Gemini constellation. In the books Young Castor is never mentioned to have a direct power, but was described as being extremely Noble and Clever. Before he was killed he had a vast network of spies and assassins that worked for him; many of these now being his Vampire Clan. Castor is the twin brother of Aurora Valor but the two seemed to have a rough relationship as Castor thought her annoying.

Aurora Valor- Latin for the word "Dawn," in myth the Goddess Aurora announced the Dawn each day. The Tears of the Goddess Aurora were said to be the morning dew that fell to Earth. Aurora Valor is described as being the Most Beautiful girl in the Magnificent North, she was very aware of this fact. While her family believed that she pissed no powers Aurora taught herself Witchcraft, she cursed Jacks out of jealousy. Aurora is the Twin sister of Castor Valor and the youngest sibling in the Valor Family. Aurora believes that her father, Wolfric, likes her sister Vesper more since she wasn't forced into a betrothal to Vengeance Slaughterwood.

The Daughter of Poseidon: Chapter Six

Della has to admit flying on a bronze dragon’s back is a surreal feeling. Up high the air is frigid. But thanks to the heat Festus generates they don’t feel it at all. Talk about seat warmers! 

Leo uses reins to steer Festus through the clouds like a reindeer.  They zip through the clouds with ease the rest of the world below is nothing but a speck. 

“Cool right?” Leo says. A pleased smile coats his features. 

“What if we get spotted?” asks Piper. 

“The mist,” Jason and Della say at the same time. Jason smiles at her. 

“It keeps mortals from seeing magic things,” Della explains, “Only seers will notice anything out of the ordinary.” 

Her mind goes back to the memory of Luke. His poor mother–

“Seers?” asks Leo. 

“Mortals who can see through the mist,”  Jason answers.

Della glances back at him and notices he’s holding a photo of a girl, a girl with dark hair. Is that…Thaila?

Jason glances up at her. He sheepishly puts the photo back in his pocket. 

“We’re making good time probably get there by tonight.” 

“Get where?” Della asks. “I thought you didn’t have a plan.” 

Jason laughs, “We’re going to find the god of the North Wind. And chase some storm spirits.”

The silence had begun to drive Della insane. Typically, when she and her friends went on quests they couldn’t shut up. Percy, in particular never shut up on their quests. 

“So,” Piper says. Oh, thank the gods. “Della earlier you said you’re a cursed child…what exactly does that mean?” 

Leo sat up straight at the head of the dragon. “You’re cursed?!?” 

Della laughs dryly. “Sometimes I wonder, but being a cursed child means that you’re an offspring of the Big Three.”

“The Big Three?” Piper asks. “Do you mean, like Zeus, Hades, and–”

“Poseidon, yeah. They made a pack to not have kids. It’s a loose promise. Anyways, all three have broken it in recent years. We’re more forbidden than cursed.” 

“So, are you, your brother, and Jason the only ones?” asks Leo.

“No there’s Nico Di Angelo a son of Hades, and Thalia Grace…she’s a daughter of Zeus but has taken up with the Hunters of Artemis.” 

“So why did make a pact if they break it?” asks Piper.

“We’re considered ‘too powerful’ which is fair Percy can take on a whole army by himself, and I–we don’t fully know what all I can do yet.” Della looks down at her lap. 

She’s always felt second best to Percy, especially after he took on the Curse of Achilles. She doesn’t understand all she can do. The only thing she does know is her fate, her usual nightmare. Meeting a similar end to Thesus. Being betrayed and thrown over a cliff–but instead of into the sea, it’s Asphodel. She’d seen it in person back when she was twelve, on her first quest. 

Della shivers at the thought of the horrid place. 

“Shut up me,” Leo says out of nowhere. 

“What?” Piper asks.

“Nothing,” he says, “Long night. I think I’m hallucinating. It’s cool.” 

Jason, Piper, and Della all share looks of concern. 

“Just joking.” Leo decides to change the subject. “So what’s the plan bro? You said something about catching wind, breaking wind, or something?”

As they fly over New England, Jason lays out the game plan. First, find Boreas and grill him for information–

“His name is Boreas?” Leo has to ask. “What is he the God of Boring?”

Second, Jason continues, they have to find the spirits that attacked them at the Grand Canyon–

“Venti? Do you mean anemoi thuellai?” asks Della. 

“Can we just call them storm spirits?” Leo asks, “Venti makes them sound like evil expresso drinks and the other one sounds harder.” 

And third, Jason finishes, they had to find out who the storm spirits work for, so they could find Hera and free her. 

“So you want to look for Dylan, the nasty storm dude, on purpose?” 

“That’s about it. Well…there might be a wolf involved too. I think she’s friendly…so she probably won’t eat us, unless we show her weakness–”

“I’m sorry…a wolf?” asks Della. She turns around and faces him. 

Jason explains his dream of Lupa the murder-wolf and a burned-out house with stone spires growing out of the swimming pool.

“Uh-huh, but you don’t know where this place is?” asks Leo. 

“Nope.” 

“Lovely…” says Piper.

“Sounds about right for a forbidden child’s quest.” Della turns back towards the others. 

“There are also giants, the prophecy said “The giants’ revenge” Piper reminds them. 

“Hold on,” Leo says, “Giants? As in more than one? Why can’t it be one giant who wants revenge?”

“Too easy,” Della mutters. 

“I don’t think so,” Piper muses, “I remember in some of the old Greek stories, there was something about an army of giants.” 

“But they haven’t been seen for centuries, but then again neither had Kronos.” 

“Great…knowing our luck it will be a whole army,” Leo says. “You learn anything else while doing research for your dad Pipes?”

“Your dad?” Della asks. 

“Umm yeah, he’s an actor, Tristan McLean.” Piper mumbles. 

“What was he in?” asks Della and Jason.

“I’m surprised Della doesn’t know.” 

“Hmmm….oh wait…wait! Yes! He’s the Aphrodite’s cabin top pick this year!” 

Piper sighs. “That’s why he’s on the wall in my cabin.” 

“Yeah, they pick a new “hottie” every year.” 

Piper looks about ready to heave off to the side. 

Leo on the other hand cackles. “That’s the only reason you’ve heard of him?”

“I mean I vaguely remember the movie posters. But Percy, Beth, and I don’t go to movies very often.” 

“You don’t go to movies?” Leo asks.

“Look I don’t go out very much in the mortal world unless I’m thirdwheeling.” 

It was a sad truth, Della didn’t really go out that often. It just wasn’t her style. Of course, she’s been to movies over the past few years but is has always been with Annabeth and Percy. Mostly, because Percy drug her carcass out with them. 

“Thirdwheeling?” The others ask. 

Della sighs. “Not to change the subject, but I’m gonna….giants, we were discussing the giants.” 

“The giants–well there were loads in Greek mythology. But if I’m thinking of the right ones they were bads news. 

“Extremely bad news,”  Della sighs. “They rose after Krono's first downfall–eons ago. They could throw mountains and things of that nature. Like the Titans, they too tried to destroy Olympus. If these are the same giants–”

“Chiron said it was happening again,” Jason says. “The last chapter–that’s what he meant. No wonder he didn’t want us to know all the details.” 

Leo whistles. “So…giants who can throw mountains. A wolf-mother who will eat us if we show weakness. Evil Starbucks drinks. Got it. Maybe not the best time to bring up my psycho babysitter.” 

“You’re joking,” Piper says. 

Leo tells them about Tîa Callida, who was Hera, and how she’d appeared to him at camp. He fills them in on his past. How his mom died. And finally tells them about a woman in earthen robes who seemed to be asleep. 

“That’s disturbing…” says Piper. 

“Bout sums it up. The thing is everyone says not to trust Hera. And the prophecy says we’ll unleash death if we cause her rage. So… I gotta ask…why are we doing this?” 

“Because the gods–she chose us,”  Della sighs, “I will admit you guys have it  a bit rougher than my first quest.” 

“What do you mean?” Jason asks.

“You,” she points at Jason. “Have no memory. But I’m not that worried about your fighting ability. This is definitely not your first quest.” She looks over at Leo and Piper. “You two have absolutely no training. At least Percy and I had two weeks…then again we were twelve…”

“You were twelve?!?!” Piper and Leo say in disbelief. 

“You only had two weeks of training?” asks Jason. 

Della shrugs and smiles a bit. “ Zeus accused me and Percy of stealing his master bolt. Even though we didn’t know we were half-bloods.” 

“Holy–how’re you alive?”

“Luck?” Della laughs. “Anyways the other reason we have to do this is–this quest will kick off something bigger. This is an antecedent.”

Something I don't understand is how people can hate Jason so much. Like okay I get it maybe he's not as cool as Percy and maybe his chapters can be pretty boring but still what did the poor guy ever do to deserve so much hate like gods he did nothing wrong! All he did was live his life as a sweet two year old and then Hera/Juno came along ripped him out of his life put him with the wolves and Lupa threw him into camp Jupiter and was like 'Yeah that's nice...ohhh wait no gotta take away his memory and make his life even harder than it already is!' Then he wakes up on a bus with no memory, people he doesn't know but they somehow know him and then he finds everything out, meets new friends and a guy who also got his memory wiped but got everything back, they all go on a long ass journey, defeat the bad guys and shit, his best friend's kinda dead but at least he can relax a little. He finally starts feeling content he's finding his place and stuff, he finds out his best friend is actually alive and then he DIES. HE FUCKING DIES. Doesn't get his memories, doesn't get to meet his friend who he thought was dead because now he himself is dead. He wasn't able to experience anything a normal teenager/kid would do all he ever did was fight. And it helped with nothing. He still died.

favorite thing about them: the fucking memes, i dont think there is a singular character that has made me laugh so many times, its beyond insane how a dedicated person and my roomate have shaped this guy into my conciousness.

I saw the ask of the other anon and I couldn't help but wonder....would Proximus behave differently if the ape Lupa fell for was female? What if Lupa had relations with more than one ape pretty much like bonobos do? Maybe some would start only to advantage her position (Calpurnia x Lupa shippers anyone?👀) but could progress to genuine liking?

He seemed positively surprised when she told him that not all humans were monogamous, and earlier he also told her that he likes how honest she is with her feelings unlike most humans.

Would he just take it as another sign of her being different than other humans? And would that make him want her even more? Maybe he just wouldn't allow something like that? Or maybe...he would allow it hoping to...ahem...join somewhere along the line? 👀

Hopefully this ask isn't too weird, sorry if I have been misintepreting things but I have been shipping Lupa and Calpurnia since day 1, not sure if this was the intended direction but my mind always goes there every time they have an interaction lol, the last chapter was especially lovely and I'll be happy no matter how the story develops even is she just remains Lupa's friend, I was just speculating, there is just so many directions this could go.

It wasn't the intended direction but I've no complaints about interspecies lesbians 😁😁😁 Prox would try to rein in the situation as best he could, but Lupa is resourceful as we know and Calpurnia is in a unique state of power. Kerandoman sang ibunda, waktu aku masih SD yg masih langganan majalah bobo atau majalah fantasi (pas udah suka Westlife, S07 dll) atau baca Percil laman Tak & Dut (yg seuprit itu) di koran PR tiap hari minggu. Beliin aku buku Lupus Abg wkwk, awalnya belom tertarik tp blio nyuruh aku baca emg agak sedikit memaksa krn katanya belajar baca yg panjang2 dong teteh! Heuu yodah kucoba. Daaaan ngikik2 bacanya, komedi bgt wkwkwk. Masih SD dah baca Lupus cemana yah begog jg..

Andrea Hirata - Tetralogi Laskar Pelangi. Inipun awalnya ide ibuku, coba beli 1 dulu yg laskar pelangi.. Seru sih! Ngefans bgt sama karakter anak2 disitu haaaaa luvv. Lanjut sang pemimpi, karakter2nya udah mulai sedikit, lanjut beli Edensor inipun sama. Dibalik buku bagus2 ini ada hal yg agak membosankan menurutku, Andrea Hirata kalo deskripsiin situasi itu super detail, 1 objek aja bisa berhalaman2 haaa maafkan itu hanya menurutku yg tyda sabaran inih~ tp pas aku diskusi sama ibuku bliopun sepakat haha yes ada balad. Nah entah knp buku terakhir ngga kami beli sampe skrg wkwk gantung yah..

Trinity - The Naked Traveler Series. Asli betulan aku nemu buku ini di gramed super random kaya cerita komen aku ke mbak Trinity. Wkt itu aku lsg laporan ke ibu, blio komen "wah free style gini bukunya, bagus teh". Maksudnya blio free style itu "berani" kali yaa, dari judulnya aja ada "Naked"nya haha. Pas wkt dibaca seruuuu bgt plus gaya bahasanya menyenangkan pokonya, ngga kaku dan iya free style beneran. Sampe akhirnya aku koleksi bukunya, dipinjem sana sini, bukan sama temen lg tp sama temennya temen, temennya adik, pada akhirnya bbrp buku ilang. Bete kaaaann :( dan iya itu buku pertama inspirasiku bikin makalah matpel b. Indo. Bikin makalahnya jg sambil di pantau ibuku, sambil ngetik di komputer blio ngoreksi dan baca hasil karyaku. Dan iya itu ceritanya kaya komen ke mba trinity itu haha di notice pula alhamdulillah.. Foto ketiga bela2in ke gramed pgn meet n greet, kesampean dong sampe fotbar yekan wkwk. Saat fotbar itu ibuku udah meninggal, belom sempet pamer ke blio apa mungkin ibu liat aku dari "sana" ya :'( skrg buku mbak trinity makin banyak, belom kebeli juga karena minat bacaku yg udah menurun.

Jaman Raditya Dika booming pun aku ngikutin, ngga beli bukunya tp minjem ke sepupu. Kambing Jantan, Cinta Brontosaurus, Radikus Makan Kakus. Udah 3 aja, ada brp sih emgnya yaa lupa. Lucu bgt bukunya, sampe si Edgar yg dulu di ceritain di buku adiknya Radit itu skrg udah bujang wey! Iya bener udah selama itu, wkt hype twitter baru diminati di indo dan surprise.. Surprise.. Raditya Dika jadian sama Sherina trentop bgt di twitter saat itu, tp sayang cuma 7 bulan heeuu..

Lalu ayah Pidi Baiq dengan buku Drunken Monster gitu ya? Belom sempet aku baca. Tapi aku baca Dylan wkt msh berupa blog, ngikutin dikit krn wkt itu belom rampung. Pas bukunya launching pun ngga beli, minjem ke temen. Minat membacaku mulai menurun.. Dipinjemin buku bisnis sama temen, Rich Dad Poor Dad seru sih.. 1 lg tentang marketing. Saat itu lg mengalami quarter life crisis bgt gaksiii.. Beli2 buku self improvement yg religi beli 2 buku, ngga kelarpun. Beli buku 2 biji, dianter mantan pacar alias suami ke tempat jualnya daerah soetta deket papuri gitu.

Udah deh gapernah beli buku lg semenjak ituu, sampe akhirnya punya anak dan beli buku2 supergemazzzz buat anakku sebagian besar dari BBW tiap ada BBW lsg nyetok ada yg beli di BBW tokped jg sih.. Berusaha memunculkan minat baca sedari bayi, seperti ibuku ke aku saat itu wlpn skrg udah ngga minat hahaha.

Was watching a Fantano video and he wondered why Spotify was so shit with less popular artists, particularly ambient music.

I think first it's classism. Artists who aren't mainstream are lower class and poors are gross when you're a CEO of the largest music distributor. Second, I think they want their brand to be very hip and accessible. Ambient music is very much not that. They want to people to associate their platform with Taylor Swift and Dua Lupa. Not Saint Abdullah and May Leitz.
