Can I just say, I really appreciate how Critical Role plays the Devil trope straight. There's been this phenomena in a lot of modern media (I'm not going to mention specifics but I'm sure a few examples pop up in people's minds) where Hell and the Devil aren't scary or malevolent forces. Hell is portrayed as being basically the same as our world just "edgier", and the Devil is a pretty decent guy actually. Heaven are secretly the real bad guys!

But Critical Role doesn't do that. In Exandria, Asmodeus *feels* like the Devil. He's malevolent and manipulative and terrifyingly powerful and he hates you, personally. We never see that type of portrayal anymore! And it's amazing! And he still manages to be sympathetic and tragic without losing his edge!

And the "Good Gods" are portrayed as flawed without being secretly evil or something! Like, actual nuance? In my Heaven/Hell dichotomy? What!?

It's just such a breath of fresh air after so many "The Devil was right, actually" stories. So props to Matt and Brennan and the cast.

Why is no one talking about how Nine has weak natural tails?

This is what Tails’s tails look like. Strong looking with lots of fur. He uses them all the time to fly and fight. He keeps them out in the open and isn’t ashamed of them so they grew strong.

Then you see Nine’s natural tails and they look thin and limp. He doesn’t use them to fly much and relies more on his metal tails then his natural ones so they are weak and thin. If you don’t use them you loose them after all.

He even keeps his tails covered and hidden when in public so that he just looks like he has a single metal tail instead of two natural tails.

Clearly Sonic’s influence caused Tails have pride in his natural tails, to not hide them and instead use them to fly and do other things so they grew with him and became his strongest asset. Instead of weak and flimsy like with Nine where he hid them and relied on metal ones instead. He considers them a weakness since he was bullied and had no one to show him his tails are a strength and make him cool, not a freak.

Do you think Sonic becomes like any other parent when the prime bros arrive when he starts mixing up the name of each fox?

Or better yet, if he mentions something one of them did the others were just like, “oh… ya that was actually-“

I have noticed that parents usually get like that only when they are extremely stressed or extremely mentally occupied or very very overwhelmingly busy.

Sonic would never mix up the names of his younger brothers (especially considering it's a sore spot for Nine) unless he's meeting one of those above conditions and usually that would be funny because there's chaos in the house and he trips on who to address. It's especially hilarious to the kits when they do that on purpose like Tails letting out a curse while something like above is going on and Sonic, who's used to scolding Sails for curses automatically goes, "Sails-"

"Ain't me!"

Sonic rubbing his temples: "Tails, no cursing."

"Stop freaking out," Tails calls back with a tinge of annoyance, "Mangey isn't here."

Sonic freezes and completely forgets about what he is doing. "WHERE'S MANGEY?! "
