actually thinking about fr made me remember how much unused lore potential forbidden portal has. what do you mean there's a portal to another world and ur dragons can go there and fight warped nightmare creatures but it's literally just a coli venue and goes completely ignored otherwise. are we not going to think abt the implications and potential of there being a portal to a wholeass other world beyond sornieth

You seem to draw a lot of Curse of Strahd. Loving all of them. I don't play much DnD and prefer other games but Strahd sorta lowkey speaks to my goth soul. Would you recommend it?

So, based on my personal experience the answer would be yes and no. It's one of the stronger modules, if not the strongest DnD module out there, but running it just by the adventure book is not something I'd recommend; plot holes, disorganized, women often get the short end of the stick... There is a whole subreddit dedicated to improving it, adding things on top, and other sources and supplements to make it a fleshed out world with depth. It's very much a diamond in the rough LOL Either way earlier editions of DnD Ravenloft and the domains of dread provide more fun gothic horror to play around with so I recommend looking into all of that stuff! It's got all the classic tropes and is truly rather dark for DnD. Low fantasy, high stakes!

Since I haven't finished the game as a player yet and as such don't know the entire original plotline, if anyone feels like adding their thoughts, by all means!

Are all the Sherbs the same age? Like they exists roughly the same amount of time?

Soon to be related question: The eye switch thing happened, because of Quixis right? Something they did, caused it or it was a reprocussion of something they did...

It all plays into a theory I've had but could never back up...

Icaris said theyre eye has been bleeding since they were young... if all the Sherbs are the same age, does that mean that whatever Quixis did + their world falling, happened when they were young?

Is this one of those situations where "They were just a kid"

One of the only times I bothered to make something digital. I work exclusively on a phone so it's a pain in the everything arm related. This is my second Rainworld OC (the first being Kipper, a Rivulet based Scug). I adore this goof and now you can as well. Also, that lore is *slightly* outdated cuz world building is going well. Don't disregard it though because if you care, you'll remember this for later. :>

Generations is like, the exact opposite of a random choice, from a business perspective it makes the most sense. It being not that old makes it easier to port, and it was critically acclaimed, meaning both that it's a relatively safe bet to pour time and resources into, and that they don't have to spend time changing/fixing stuff. I want to see Unleashed and 06 ports, but it's pretty obvious why Generations got chosen over them, because it reviewed better and the general public liked it more at the time of release

hmm yeah i can understand the reasoning of it being well received and requiring less work. but even then i dont understand why a full on remaster was necessary and not just a port with some new content added yknow.

i tend to disagree with most orbits ideas of loona verse lore (Yves, Jinsoul and Olivia being villains) but I still don't get how vivi died?

The idea of Vivi's death is kind of interesting. I gather most people feel that death is the easiest way to explain her transformation into a cyborg...

You can see here that (an extract from LOONA wiki) that there's a somewhat pervasive view that *someone* killed Vivi and the only way to resurrect her was via cyborg technology. But we never see Vivi killed and there's honestly little reason to infer she was murdered in the first place.

The question of whether being transformed to a cyborg kills you in the process is an interesting one. But I don't think the lore gives an answer to that.
