Similar to Eri, the reader is a child that has a powerful quirk and was a victim of villains. The villains that were keeping the reader were using them as a healing tool and held them for 3 years

The reader’s quirk allows them to utilize and manipulate light energy. Their quirk works by absorbing light particles and turning them into energy that they can store up or use immediately. They can bend light and reflect/refract it, they can condense and harden the particles to create solid and non solid illusions, generate force fields, create lasers as well as use the energy to heal.

Their quirk can activate with even the smallest amount of light. The reader is kind of like a plant in the way that they need a source of light to use their quirk so that they can harness the energy or else they won’t have any energy to use

Knowing that the reader’s quirk was really strong, the villains kept the reader locked up inside a dark room where it was pitch black. The only time there was ever any light allowed near them was when one of the villains was hurt and needed to be healed. The villains would go into the room and light a small candle so the reader would have just enough energy to be able to heal them but be unable to store up any to use against them

Eventually there was a raid on the villain’s base where Present Mic was one of the heroes on the mission. He was the one to discover the reader and save them. After police looked into the child’s family they found that the reader’s parents were criminals who sold the reader to make money of their quirk.

Since saving the reader, Mic would visit them since he was the only person the child would allow near them. Mic and the reader quickly grew attached to each other, so Mic decided to adopt the reader.

Hizashi was told by the reader’s therapist that the reader was terrified of the dark so much, that even being in a room with the lights off and the window open allowing light in would trigger them. The reader was so terrified of the darkness that they would panic if there was a dark corner in a room where they couldn’t see what was there.

Hizashi’s solution was to buy all kinds of night lights, string lights, LEDs, light projectors,etc. he even bought glow in the dark paint and stars. There wasn’t a single place in his house that was dark. The corners and other places where shadows would be like under furniture were lit by LEDs

One day there was an fight between heroes and an EMP villain who was using quirk enhancing drugs near Mic’s house. The Villain’s quirk basically made any electrical device in their nearby vicinity obsolete. All electrical devices in the area were affected.

Knowing that he would be staying late at his Radio station and that he wouldn’t be home until late night or early morning, Hizashi called Aizawa and told him the situation begging for him to stay with the reader since the power wouldn’t be restored until early morning. Understanding the situation, Aizawa agreed and made sure to bring a few things like a portable DVD player and some candles

Once Aizawa got to Mic’s house that evening, he dismissed the babysitter/nanny and told the reader that they were going to build a giant blanket fort in the living room and pretend to go camping. The reader was excited and wanted to surprise Mic so they quickly began gather all the blankets and pillows, bringing them to Aizawa as he put the fort together.

After that he gathered all the non electronic light sources and when the sun set, he turned them all on, lighting all the candles

That night Aizawa and the reader spent their time watching movies, reading glow in the dark books, and listening to Aizawa tell stories of Mic being an idiot in highschool.

When the reader was tired, Aizawa got out his sleeping bag and let the reader snuggle up to him as he held them. Whenever the reader was scared, Aizawa would hold them and quietly shush them, rubbing their back and kissing their cheeks telling them that he would keep them safe

That night Aizawa and reader slept together in his sleeping bag inside their fort. When Hizashi got home he found them snuggled up together and took as many pictures on his phone as possible

Today I remembered that my favorite thing about having so many AUs is to pick up 2 AUs like Barbie dolls and clack their faces together while making smooching noises.

The story vaguely goeth thusly: Danny is a halfa, the Balance, the Bridge Between Worlds, he is....... the Observants' glorified gofer. You see, there are a lot of cursed/enchanted/ghostly artefacts floating around loose in the living Realm and they need Danny to go retrieve them. Danny would rather not, but they just won't leave him alone about it. Can't a guy just live? At least let him poop in peace! Ancients! Fine, he'll do it if it'll get them to shut up. (Spoiler: it does, in fact, not get them to shut up.)

But you see, Danny has a secret: he was raised in an assassin ninja cult (at least for the early years) before getting adopted by the Fentons. Now the killing? Not a fan, no thanks, he's working on not increasing his kill count, thx. But the sneaking? He could use that. Sneaky ninjas are also good thieves, right? So he cobbles together a knock off League of Assassins outfit, buys a cheap portable lock picking set, and decides to make a game of how far can he get without using his powers (much. He's new at this okay?)

Batman is not having fun. There's some (possible?) League assassin running around stealing verified cursed/magical artefacts! Is Talia planning something? Is Ra's planning something? (Isn't he for real dead? Silly reader, no one is ever for real dead in DC.)

Robin is super frustrated. For all the same reasons Batman is but also because he just knows this new rogue is taunting him. Personally. Because he's Damian al Ghul Wayne and the whole world revolves around him, obviously. (And also because he once pointed at Robin and laughed before jumping out a window.)

Selina is intrigued. Who is this kid? How does he know what to go after? How does he keep evading the bats? Luckily she runs into him mid heist (fortunately they had different targets, she's intrigued but not enough to hand over her shinies to him) and oh he's adorable! She has to train him, it would drive Brucie up the wall. But then she sees his face and oh, she knows exactly who he is, even if he seems oblivious.

Because Danny? He's in Gotham for the ecto, for the Thomas Wayne full ride scholarship he managed to snag, and also because for some reason Gotham is full of so many cursed/ghost artefacts. (Lady Gotham is seething, she worked hard to collect all those curses! But this is her beloved dark knight's kid and she kinda wants him home. But she also doesn't want to give up her curses!) Back to the point: Danny doesn't care about ANY of the rich bougie people. The Waynes give out a lot of scholarships? Cool, that's nice and all. They probably also rub elbows with Vlad or Sam's parents. No thanks. Doesn't care. He's got better things to worry about.

Selina has got a plan though! She's gonna teach this boy how to thief properly, starting with better tools (including the slutty, slutty cat burglar outfit). She also knows that she can't let any of the Waynes (in or out of costume) meet Danny (out of costume). So does Lady Gotham. So does the universe apparently (or just Clockwork maybe), because all kinds of unlikely things keep happening to prevent it.

Danny is having so much fun though! He's learning new skills. Selina is giving him an allowance so he's not living off ramen and peanut butter sandwiches, he's doing well in school, he gets to stretch his ghost powers regularly to go above the smog cover and star gaze in peace. Everything's coming up Danny.

Selina decides it's time to flaunt her find in front of Brucie and makes Danny go to a gala as her date, she spends the entire time clinging to his arm and introducing him around to everyone. Including Bruce himself (who just so happens to have Damian in tow). Danny may not recognize Bruce, but he sure recognizes Damian, and Damian recognizes him if his utterly flabbergasted face is anything to go by. But Danny remembers what it was like living in the League. And so far as he knows Damian is still in it, he was the Demon Head's heir after all. Damian made sure of it.

Oh it. Is. ON! Now Danny is on a mission! A sibling rivalry mission! He is going to make Damian's/Robin's a living hell. Selina going on a heist that has no magical artefacts? Danny's there anyway, always have back up. That necklace in the museum has barely any powers and he wasn't even going to bother with it? Too bad, it's back on the list. He has no reason to be out at all but the bats are on patrol? Well so is Danny. Catch him if you can, suckers!

I don't know a ton about bocce but I think if you structured frisbee like bocce it'd be nearly identical to frisbee golf as it exists now -- maybe you'd throw large discs at small discs instead of at the "goals" you have on a frisbee golf course? It's an intriguing idea.

What I was thinking about was the fact that bow sports are traditional for hunting and fishing, so there's a lot of competitive target archery. But there aren't a whole lot of big wide open spaces in the country and those that are wide open aren't usually super level. You're looking at either hilly terrain or heavy forest (or both). So if we're talking archery for military use, longbows aren't necessarily an advantage because you're generally not able to see the enemy until you're almost on top of each other. Not that the Shivadh did much warring anyway in the past, they favored defensive ambush.

I can see that a culture which developed a knack for accuracy with a bow might want to take that knack into battle, so I was thinking that there is an extremely specialized "Shivadh shortbow" which is designed for insane accuracy at close range -- not much power behind it, but you don't need much power if you know where to hit. So they have this very portable tool that requires some skill to learn, is highly accurate within about thirty feet, but won't put an arrow through a reasonable amount of padding.

Which means that if you put someone in fencing gear and fire shortbows at them, the arrows stick but don't penetrate. Put two teams together and you've basically invented paintball with crossbows. Undoubtedly created by one of the earlier Dukes of Shivadlakia to train youngsters in close combat technique.

Before you knew it, all four had been replaced. Ordinarily, that would’ve been it, your engineer would give you a quick look over and close you back up. Mistress had other plans, of course. “Okay, I think we’re ready for a bit of stress testing.” She removed the flashlight from her mouth and set it down. “Are you ready, machine?”

“Hm, How about we test your radar tracking next?” Before you could respond, she disconnected the cable to your camera, leaving you unable to see. Another warning popped up, another warning dismissed. Despite this, you were still able to track what your mistress was doing, no combat doll would be limited to visible light camera for tracking targets.

You tracked your mistress as she clambered onto the table with you, and sat herself on your hips. She leaned forward slightly, and suddenly your vision came flooding back, the connection being restored. Actually seeing her now, on top of you, overwhelmed your senses.

“I’m almost done here, there’s just one last little thing I’d like to test before I’m satisfied.” The playfulness in her voice excited you, until suddenly all feelings of bliss cut off. Another warning popped up, notifying that another cable had been disconnected. You looked up to your mistress, she was holding a small 4 pin connector in one hand, the one that controls all feelings of pleasure. In her other hand was a paper clip.

She unfurled the paper clip until it was just a bent piece of metal wire, and leaned in again moving the metal wire towards the pins the connector used to be plugged in at. “So, all I have to do here is touch this to the first and fourth pins inside you, and…” A jolt of pleasure surged through your body, stronger than you could have ever imagined. By bypassing any sort of control and monitoring system, and simply shorting the two pins, she could overload your mind from sheer ecstasy leaving you, the once fearsome aerial combat doll, little more than a quivering mess on her mistress’s table.

After a couple more taps from the metal wire, you couldn’t focus on anything anymore. You hardly even noticed when your mistress got off of you and began reconnecting everything she unplugged. It was only when you heard the cooling fan on your back spin up that you finally came to your senses.

You looked over to your mistress. She was screwing your abdominal plate back into place, a content smile rested on her face. At all other times, you were E-415, an Excelsior class combat doll. But here, in these few tender moments you had, you were Eris, a machine loved by your mistress.
