I may have gone a little overboard 😅 To be honest this tag came around at just the right time! I'd just gotten a new song association and have been working on schoolwork so much that I really needed to do something creative 😆

Originally these were all going to be in similar editing styles (more like Corey's) but somewhere along the way that stopped because I had different ideas that I really wanted to do. Also I cheated a little and a few got more than one song... 🤫

COREY ALTMAN

"Holiday" - Green Day:

This song being here is random song association at its finest. The trail pretty much goes "Holiday" by Green Day > Surf's Up > Beach Vibes > Sulani > Globetrotter Challenge > Corey Song. If that makes sense... 😂 Pretty much, you can blame the Sulani round of the Globetrotter Challenge for it, plus the fact that I feel like it's the type of song/genre Corey would use in his own music.

"Catch Me If You Can" - Set It Off:

Now, it would be a crime to talk about songs and Corey without a song by Set It Off. Corey was created when I was listening to their songs a lot, and it definitely rubbed off on him. From his aesthetic to the songs I imagine him playing, a lot of it came from Set It Off. Even his name was derived from the band's lead singer (although changed from Cody to Corey because that's the route my mind took with it idk). So, this song in particular specifically reminds me of Corey for... Honestly probably obvious reasons 😆 "Catch Me If You Can" was pretty much the theme of his Globetrotter Challenge, where he was constantly moving on the run from the law. A line I really like though for him is the part that says, "I only feel at home when I'm on the run," because I feel like that leads into the deeper aspects of Corey. He really isn't at home anywhere, he's always on the move, even when he's not evading capture anymore. There's a certain non-permanence to everything he does. Something funny about the image itself is that it originally wasn't going to be edited to look like the back cover of a CD. When I took the picture of Corey with the guitar I kind of thought "this looks like the back cover of a CD" and when editing I just needed a way to fill the space at the bottom and it turned into a CD back cover edit 🤣 It actually kind of fits though since both of these songs are the sound I associate with Corey's own music so it worked out in the end.

LIZZY ALTMAN

"Unopened Windows" - Set It Off:

So this one is the context behind this post lol. It's been like two years since I started working on this plotline I have to finish it eventually 😆 Anyway, Lizzy's been teased in many tag games so far, but without a name or much information (note: and this name's not final I'm not sure yet). Here you can probably guess based on the song choice how her story goes 😅 Going back to the epilogue of the Globetrotter Challenge, we see that something is going on, and it leads to Lizzy and her dad being separated. So, the entire song lyrically I really felt spoke to them and their situation (more in a future gameplay 😉). Bonus points for it being a Set It Off song, who I associate with Corey, and thought music could have been something that they bonded over and enjoyed together. I have a few things to say about the image itself because it was a struggle but I looooove how it turned out! It turned out essentially how I imagined it with Lizzy playing guitar in the foreground with a sort of memory of her time with her dad in the background. I probably had about five or six different poses that I put in the background because I couldn't decide which one I liked the best 😆 This was the last image I had to work on out of the four, and I was having trouble with how I wanted the song title to look. While I was browsing for overlays and stuff I came across a lot of cutout style poems and ended up adding in some of the lyrics because I thought it would help explain the concept behind the image. In the end this one is one of my favorites which is unbelievable considering how much I thought it was not going to turn out like I imagined 🥰

"Little Chaos" - Orla Gartland:

In a wonderfully serendipitous coincidence, this was the song association I was very into when getting tagged, and was already planning what became this edit! I rarely have song associations for sims/sims stories (despite how many ended up coming together here) so that's why I'll never get over how well timed this all was (thanks again elderwisp!!) On to the song, it has to do with my upcoming gameplay story centered around the For Rent game pack, and starring the pictured sim (who doesn't have a name yet sorry! 😅). She's going through a bit of a tough time where she's very lost and I thought the lines, "And it's a good day for a meltdown. All my thoughts getting too loud," fit really where she's at, especially at the start. Plus, the vibes are perfect. The image itself was inspired by the song's MV and one part in particular, but it looks a lot different now (I was limited by the poses I could find because I refuse to sit down and learn to make my own yet). I liked this idea of the torn pages framing the image, especially because it plays into the plot, which sees the main character do a lot of journaling throughout the story. So, the lined paper had to do with that, and it doubled as being good for making the letters stand out, which I wanted to be big and misaligned to be more "chaotic," though I think that could have been done more/better. Aaaaand the background is a picture of Tomarang, where the story takes place. To be honest this will probably be the cover image once I finalize a name and get started on playing it 😉

"Ferryman" - Schafer James and Will Wood:

I've actually been having a lot of fun with this character since initially creating him back before the Horse Ranch pack came out (more on him coming out in a few days for the outlaw challenge 😉). So this song.... The entire concept of our ghost cowboy is that he, being somewhat half dead and half alive, winds up being a good source of convincing "unwilling souls" to cross over, and works with the character Death to do so in exchange for finding out why he's not entirely dead. I'll explain it better another time, but I also really love this song and just thought that the concept of the ferryman and the ghost cowboy as ferriers of the dead.

"Toss A Coin To Your Witcher (Epic Version)" - Samuel Kim and Black Gryph0n:

Liiiiisten... My family made me watch three seasons of The Witcher I had to get something out of it 😆 I joke a lot that this character gives off Geralt vibes but honestly they are definitely super similar just based on their overall aesthetic and horse companions. I wanted to be special though and chose this epic cover instead of the original... Just for fun 😁 There were some cool piano covers too that almost made the cut. This is probably a good place to talk about the actual image (yay!). I hope the visibility on it isn't too bad because it ended up waaaay more cluttered than I originally intended, plus the mist effect definitely makes it harder to see the characters. I made his (also unnamed) horse a little more transparent to try and give off this ghostly see through effect so I hope that comes through. The font isn't the kind of "wild west wanted sign" font that I wanted, but I think it's close enough lol.

10. at what point in the process do you come up with titles and how easy or hard is that for you?

fuck. i HATE titles. 99% of the time it's the very last thing I do and half the time i forget about it until i open tumblr to make the post. For one shots i generally read through it again and pick a phrase or repeating word and use that. For series: i'll usually pop onto discord with a brief summary and ask if ppl have ideas, otherwise i have a note in my phone of potential titles that are generally song titles or lyrics. i like my series titles to actually mean something and tie into the story whereas i dont give a fuck about the one shots LOL

20. what is your favourite trope to write?

forbidden love? we're gonna pretend that's a thing lol. like, stories have to have conflict and what's better than two people who wanna fuck/date/whatever and either can't or shouldn't, or like, their bosses would frown upon it, right? like, any and all degree of it, not particularly totally forbidden.

30. most inspirational quote you've ever read or heard that's still important to you.

christ. i cannot think of anything rn. My mind went straight to disney because there are so many things that light up my passion/motivation. the last time we were there we saw the "new" (lol) fireworks show and it had this little speech that was all "no go, let your dreams guide you, reach out and find your happily ever after" and it was kinda the resurge i needed at the time to be all "oh fuck, that's right, i just need to focus" as the old fireworks show had a bit that i like, wished on every fucking night and always made me cry about cause of how i related to it. wow i'm SO cool HA.

in high school (performing arts) certain people got to sign the theatre crossover wall at graduation and i got to and i singed it with a Fosse quote but i cannot remember it anymore for the life of me loll

bruh ive got no clue. i dont get/ask for feedback basically ever. esp recently people have been more just "omg so good" or "next part??" uhh... yeah, i dont think anyone ever has minus like a comment here and there with a friend when spitballing and i have a goldfish brain so i cannot remember.

50. do you plan or do you write whatever comes to your mind?

bit of both! for one shots it's usually just the prompt i was given/found and MAYBE a bit of a blurb scenario.

series: i will not start until i have a much more detailed outline and a rough idea of how it's going to end. nothing is specifically labelled and as i work on the story the outline gets longer, more fleshed out, sometimes there's full conversations or smut pieces in the outline and eventually ch's get labelled and sometimes it's like "ch 4, they go to this hotel and fuck" lol

60. where is the most dangerous place that you're written fic?

work. was stuck in the bar (that guests dont have access to) during service time with nothing else to do. my manager literally came in and teased me about not working and then later asked what i was working on and i said "fanfic, but that's all i'm telling you cause a lot o its real gay and real dirty" LOL

70. are you ever critical of your own writing? how much do you find yourself editing (either during or after the fact?)

i'm SO critical, but it's like, when i'm rereading it months down the road and it's been posted and too late to edit LOL. and it's mainly me just looking at old works that are SO trope filled and slightly cringe and include lot of the stuff that i no longer write.

I don't edit too much at all lol. I'll catch most typos or grammar while going/on a brief read through but it's VERY rare i'll actually go back to edit a full passage the next day or anything. Hence my very detailed outlines! i will edit from there to the fic cause i'll add to the outlines whenever something sparks in my brain and i know its good lol.

80. do you try to put themes, motifs, messages, morals, etc in your writing?

uhh... no? LOL. sometimes i do, and sometimes they just end up there completely by accident.

so to be completely fair everyone was talking so fucking much i could barely understand any lyrics Unfortunately! however, i was able to focus on the Sound a Lot and. christ. the word coming to mind the most is theatrical. the production is insane, it's done so expertly though every note every beat feels So Magical and Purposeful. the sound is so Big and Intense on every song, but nothing is overdone. there is such a good blend of slower moments that really let patricks voice shine through, and some moments are So hard rock (for fob) like. think the intense instrumentation in get busy living. think the orchestration on folie. think the rock influence on abap and srar. but then add in Some moments that feel like they were influenced by bands like wham! and hall & oates (at least, these are the influences that came to My mind for a couple of the songs, namely so good right now). think of soul punk, but with a rock edge. think of the composing work patrick has been doing. this album is so patrick i can hear it in everything. its like if he got to make folie but make it "right", aka without the arguing and hurt. or, really as if they kept making music After folie, but with the clear experience of the post-h albums under their belt. but it's also nothing like folie really. it's not specifically like Anything. that is so much for stardust. it is so new, so unlike anything they've done before even these descriptions dont do it justice. patrick hits high notes i swear ive never heard him hit before. theres pete doing slam poetry. it is everything. it is nihilism and overcoming and living despite despite despite. those are my thoughts best i can get them out rn!

BASICALLY ryden was like . my main bandom space and like. only in getting older am i appreciating the insanities of petekey and others but like. ryden was CRAZY they were BEST FRIENDS they hung out all the time they had this whole bit on stage where brendon would almost kiss ryan while monologuing about meeting your lover and leaning in 'for that perfect, passionate kiss' and the band and their touring band and some crew went to myrtle beach and ryan made this fucking livejournal poetry post that is so fucking famous and you have to look it up but it FAMOUSLY contains the line 'you don't have to love me. you already did. at least enough to keep me smiling from South Carolina to Virginia. it's for lovers (orjustfriends) this is why i do it' and their next album after that tour was going to be this concept love story that they eventually scrapped (cabin album my cabin album) and then they wrote pretty odd and that album was just. full of love. and love in the summer and NORTHERN DOWNPOUR. a song brendon famously Cannot sing live like. has choked up singing it live. after an INTERVIEW where ryan and brendon broke down the songs and ryan was like 'i told him to pay special attention to the line 'i know the world's a broken bone, but melt your headaches call it home'' and GUESS WHICH LINE? BRENDON STARTS CRYING ON? WHEN HE SANG IT LIVE AFTER THE BREAKUP anYWAY the album after the breakup is full of all this like . breakup music and ur like ok fine but it's like . messy i still love you but i'm spiteful but when i think of summer i think of us breakup songs and some of them fucking interpolate PETE'S LIVEJOURNAL POETRY about perceived summer of like stuff it's all just SO . and like. The whole pete mikey summer of like thing has been taken way too far and while this isn't particularly new, i want to just talk about it.

Idk how controversial of a take this is but p/tekey (censor for search) should be kept in fan spaces. I remember when Chris had that insta live where he talked about his friendships with pete and mikey and tbh the chat was actually horrible. Maybe I simply had too high of expectations but I expected more people would've been respectful. So many people just filling the chat asking if pete and mikey were together. I remember Chris talked about how our (fans) idea of how the whole summer of like thing went is different to real life, and basically that the truth would probably be disappointing. And he's right. Our perception of sol is largely based on fan speculation. In truth, we don't really have solid proof. Pete never came out and said "ya me and mikey fucked in 05". Our view of sol is largely based on things like lj posts and them sharing clothes and other stuff.

I keep seeing people taking it all way too far. I rbed some posts about this earlier but ppl who think that a lot of fob songs are about Mikey need to realize that not only are they reducing the meaning of the lyrics to being about mikey, but also mikey is not in fact the only person important to pete. Because yes making silly posts about bang the doldrums is fun (genuinely such a good song can we all collectively acknowledge that) (also its even funnier that it was written for fucking shrek. There is another timeline where bang the doldrums was in shrek) but dude. Saying all of ioh and a bunch of other assorted song are actually about mikey is just untrue. Pete as a songwriter puts a lot of layers and different meanings in his songs, and with ioh specifically, the lyrics reflect some of the struggles pete was dealing with at the time. Others have brang this up as well, but id just like to add that petes songwriting isn't acknowledged for being really amazing and innovative. There are a lot of factors as to why and I've rbed other posts that talk more about this. But i want to say that people further minimizing petes songwriting by simply saying his songs are about mikey are just doing harm, whether or not they mean to or not. Being silly about bang the doldrums is one thing but saying songs like I've got all this ringing in my ears and none on my fingers are about mikey is :| dude (sorry first song that came to mind)

How they are written in fic) is more based on fan knowledge than real life. Like how ppl characterize mikey as either a sexmaster or shy nerd, but obviously irl I'm sure mikeys personality can't be put in a box like that. It's like the way a lot of fans see band dudes is more like a fictional character than a person. I know that personally, i see a divide between the fan interpretation of mikey (basically the way we as fans characterize him based on the info and speculation we do have) and irl mikey, who we (im guessing) do not know personally. We don't know about his private life.

I want to talk some points abt new jeans

They really just came out of nowhere like literally no teasers, no nothing. Directly released 2 songs with tons of videos on 70M subscribed hybe channel and those 2 songs are super catchy. 1 song is a ballad. Kpop world loved them like really really loved them and they released another title song along with releasing all the songs digitally and while that song was catchy, the lyrics are controversial (that the company gave am absurd explanation it's really laughable) The songs were hit on the korean side but I don't know much abt charts and how they impact their variety shows so I won't talk abt k- side but internationally their songs were on all popular playlists (both AM and spotify) and ofcourse all kpop playlists. So even if you are not a hybe Stan or doesn't engage much in kpop spaces online you will someway or other listen to their song and get hooked. They have 14 or some songs and had 6 songs reach 33M ppl so yeah. Without TTH, their latest comeback single made 1.4M or less than 2M (almost an year after debut) and had the peak of nearly 5M after adding to tth and tiktok heating and that song has like 5% korean so there's that.

Newjeans and 5050's cupid reminds me of "you think you got taste, oh baby how do you know" because you can't escape their songs even if you don't engage with kpop because it was that crazy

he had more or less same things happen BUT he also happens to be a part of world's biggest band's popular member who was teasing solo music for years so he reached craaazy heights like fastest to achieve 1b on spotify

The points you made are totally valid. New Jeans songs are definitely very catchy like i said in that post. And their label definitely invested in playlisting too. + Tiktok heating because those songs are indeed tiktok friendly.

As for Cupid song, it was exposed that their CEO paid some million won to Tiktok to push that song. (The song definitely had viral potential and they recognised that). This news actually changed my entire perspective on tiktok heating. Sure, some songs are just organically viral, but I realised tiktok had reached that level of power and influence that labels are now paying tiktok (like they pay for streaming platforms and radio) to push their songs. So I won't be surprised if Hybe did something similar for Super Shy or other songs. (Again, i repeat, these are songs with viral potential and that's why the push was successful, even without remixing the original song)

It's true, Jungkook's high numbers came not only from the playlist, radio and tiktok push, but also as a result of the already present massive army fanbase. But it's also true, that the songs got some local acceptance BECAUSE they are in English.

That's why in that post I said that BTS's fanbase comes mainly from the story and concept they sell. One needs to invest their mind and time. There are not a lot of BTS songs that a local will listen to and think - oh let me put it in my playlist quickly because their songs are simply soo different from what the west grew up listening to. And I still believe that b-sides have a bigger potential than some main tracks.

Very very long post ahead

Taemin came and saved kpop I loved it. His album was truly amazing. I mean no one does it like him.

Every album he’s ever done has been carefully created by him and you can tell he puts his whole heart into each of them. I am extremely proud of him and everything he does. He really loves his art and it feels authentic to himself.

He has restored my love for Korean music that was missing for at least half of this year.

Guilty is the perfect title track he did so well with everything the aesthetic of the video the DANCE????! out of this world I am just so impressed by everything he does. I am not just saying this because he’s one of my ults but because he truly is a talented person who’s passion for his art is just so visible to us who don’t even know him personally. This song is genius I love it the lyrics the beat the dance everything is just perfect.

The audacity to laugh at TAEMIN when your faves be singing shit that makes no sense or proudly saying that songs were written by them and it still be making no sense… and I mean the fact that we know why the hate train was started for Taemin and BY WHO. But I’m not here to talk about untalented ppl who can only go around because they have a pretty face.

She Loves Me She Loves Me Not it’s so good. One of my fave songs in the album the lyrics are my favorite thing I am obsessed with this song. I think it’s not a style we normally hear taemin do and he just pulled it so well.

Not over you is MY FAVORITE SONG. I know everyone have their own interpretations. It’s fine I’ll take it the literal way it sounds and it’s a heartbroken person. I’m a simple minded person who can’t get into deep theories my brain just doesn’t work that way. I love sad songs angsty media is what I live for. I just love the sorrowful sound of this song.

I think placing Night Away after Not Over You is just so perfect because not only is the beat STILL has a deep sad feeling but with a hint of light that even without reading the lyrics you can feel that things might be getting better for that broken heart you can start seeing that light at the end of the tunnel.

And then with Blue it really feels like things will finally be better and good and like he will finally find happiness.

The album starts in a almost angry tone to sad to and an ending with finding peace I absolutely love this album he truly did so great

I truly don’t think there are other idols like Taemin he’s so talented at everything he do. He’s so loved by everyone and it’s like it’s so obviously clear why. He’s really a role model to the newer generations of idols.

Today being the last day for Guilty promo I wanted to talk about the album. I am so proud of Taemin and I truly hope that he can continue to do what he loves more.

My #1 post of 2022

NOPE SPOILERS BELOW!!

I watched Nope a while ago with friends and can’t get it out of my mind. The movie rich in themes and has much to offer, but one of my (and prob most ppls) favorite things to analyze would of course be Jean Jacket herself. (warning: this is really fucking long)

One of my fav types of characters/plot lines/objects etc are ones that distinctly can be viewed and analyzed in more than one way. A popular example would…. Lmao flowey the flower in undertale (but this ain’t about him rn). The characters in Nope state multiple times that Jean Jacket is a predator/animal and has the instincts of one. This is further held up by the Gordy parallel. But Jean Jacket can also be understood as the camera, as the all-seeing and consuming eye of Hollywood and audiences. By looking at Jean Jacket in these two ways, then adding the analyses together, we come to interesting conclusions about the camera as a predator.

Jean Jacket as the territorial and predatory animal

I’m sure everyone came away with this idea in mind after watching the movie. I mean legit it’s stated directly in the movie.

The Gordy incident is very similar to the JJ plot, however it’s a very simplified version. During the flashbacks we never see Gordy when he’s not on a rampage - he never look him in the eyes when he’s just a trained animal. This ties into the ‘don’t look into it’s eyes’ concept, but also it ties into respect and acknowledgement. It’s not that we don’t look into his eyes before the incident, it’s that we don’t see him at ALL even though he technically was supposed to be in the frame of the camera. (This will come back later.) Only after the incident the monkey, the actual monkey, is acknowledged. Here the animal is much more a force of nature than truly predatory or territorial - the set wasn’t really his territory, he didn’t eat any of the actors etc - something just set him off and he started attacking. It’s unexpected and unexplainable to the victims.

The coworker of Jupe’s tries to run, but his behaviour is interesting. First of all in trying to defend yourself from monkeys facing directly towards them and yelling probably won’t deescalate the situation. Again, the nature of the animal wasn’t thought of before shooting. But on a thematic it’s interesting that he talks to Gordy like he’s talking to another human. HIS NATURE ISN’T ACKNOWLEDGED. Trying to push nature, animals, anything that can’t (or even those that can) be tamed into the spotlight and twisting it into a spectacle will lead to your downfall.

The standing upright shoe accents Jupe’s experience. A bad miracle. He HAS felt the consequences of Hollywood in his being forgotten, his trauma being twisted, but he’s always had something worse to compare it to in the back of his mind. He hasn’t actually felt the animalistic, the gore-y consequences (he wasn't actually attacked remember?). He knows his behavior can bite him in the ass at some point, but he doesn’t truly think it a possibility. He was always waiting for the "other shoe to drop", but the bad miracle itself made him feel above it. Gordy coming up to him under the table and not attacking was a bad miracle, one that put into his head the idea that he would be ok. He himself was never noticed or acknowledged properly and here he is, being acknowledged by Gordy. Being spared by him. He (while probably not consciously) feels special.

Now into the territorial behaviour of not JJ, but the other humans. Here the key comparison is Jupe VS OJ. And a little bit of Em.

Jupe is the prime example. He’s new to the area, but claims it as his own. He’s not truly a cowboy, but makes money off of it. When his plastic horse statue was stolen, he sent his children (first of all wtf) as a threat to OJ (this threatening behaviour come back in JJ). Then we have OJ. He’s also (in a sense) territorial, but it’s never shown to be a negative thing to others; Em only worries about HIM not surviving by staying at the ranch. He never threatens anyone. He simply is keeping their family's legacy safe. He’s simply taking care of his horses. He is the actual cowboy, not Jupe.

Em is only is connected to the animal theme by her ‘never being looked in the eye’ by her father. Instead of it being connected to a negative trait however, it’s connected to her struggle for acknowledgment (something that’s tied into her taking her horse Jean Jacket). (All of these traits and comparisons come back later).

Now of course onto the behaviour of Jean Jacket. She absolutely is just a wild animal. Like that’s one of the hugest points of the movie. She hid in that cloud, not wanting to be seen, like every other predator. She was “trained” by Jupe to expect food there. When she ate the fake horse, she went there early. Now if she went for 1) revenge or 2) just because she was hungry is not knowable. If the former was true (she was mad about the fake horse) then the siblings are veryyy responsible for the Star Lasso event. That doesn’t truly fit into the themes of the work, so it’s most likely the latter. Jupe made himself be known as a source for food, and then he + others became... the SOURCE for food (lmao). Animals are unknowable. You can’t control their behavior even when you think you have them tamed. Another aspect of Jean Jacket’s behavior is the fact she views the area as her territory. AND she doesn’t view the siblings as food… but why? It’s cuz she views them as a threat to her territory. Someone had posted (if u can find their post pls send it so I can credit this idea properly) that JJ’s behavior at the end of the film was similar to performative behavior of predatory animals protecting their territory. Thus her bowel movement after the Star Lasso event was similar to how predators mark their territory- thru excrement/urine.

Overall the comparisons between Gordy and Jean Jacket showcase the impossibility of taming forces of nature and the consequences of believing yourself powerful and special enough to do so. You get eaten.

JEAN JACKET AS THE PREDATORY CAMERA

NOW!! The second part of the analysis is more symbolic. JEAN JACKET LITERALLY LOOKS LIKE AN EYE. The alien merch and costumes look like the cameras from the Gordy set. When you put the implications from the predatory behaviour together with the fact that JJ is Hollywood it get real interesting.

Jupe for years has tried to make himself more and more marketable (more...digestible haha) to the public. It’s borne from his trauma and due to the system he’s in. He tries to “fist bump”, to feed this terrible force that’s only taken from him - the camera, the audience. On the other hand he’s been taking and taking from siblings, just like how the system, how Hollywood has slowly been taking their livelihood away, showcasing just how much he's become like the industry . The audience as an animal reacts negatively to being seen. Life is performance, and eyes have been watching from the clouds for forever. Their father was literally tokenized!!

Spectacle is a force hard to reason with. Hollywood is hard to tame. The only way to defeat it is to let in consume it’s own bloated deeds (Jupe’s huge ass balloon). But instead of letting their experience be forgotten, for the repressed trauma from it to dictate the rest of their lives (Jupe) OR instead of trying to capture it for their own selfish needs (the director), they have just one picture… to prove that it happened.

OJ and Emerald have been through so much. They have been forgotten as has what’s been done to them. This photographic proof serves as an acknowledgment of their suffering and bravery.

This is the reason why Gordy and JJ reacting negatively throughout the movie to being filmed isn’t brought up here. It’s a theme that respecting nature is vital. But here JJ isn’t just a misunderstood animal. JJ as the camera has done harm to the siblings similar to how Hollywood has, and Jupe has. It must be acknowledged.

Despite his party going ways, Rafe had grown to hate going to keggers at the boneyard. Sure, there was a bunch of cheap, free beers that he and his friends could snag to get wasted on, tourons to sleep with, and pogues to make fun of. But Rafe knew that at every kegger you would be there, dancing with him. At first when Topper had told him th.at you had moved on and were currently in a relationship with JJ Maybank, he thought that Top was pulling a fast one on him. Sure, he had eventually expected you to get a new guy eventually, he just hadn’t expected it to be the person that he hated the most on the entire island.

Through grumbled protests on Rafe’s behalf, Topper and Kelce had dragged him out of the house to what was supposed to be the biggest party on the boneyard in months, since it was the Friday of Spring Break. The boys arrived an hour late, Rafe dragging his feet the entire way. He stayed in the area that was mainly populated by kooks, asking Kelce to get him his drink for him so that he wouldn’t have to accidentally bump into you, or worse, JJ. Rafe stared at the ground,not wanting to catch sight of you, which would inevitably send him into a downward spiral.

Kelce eventually came back, a funny look on his face which made both Topper and Rafe furrow their eyebrows in confusion. “Dude, what's up with you?” Topper questioned Kelce, which elicited a ‘shut it’ look from the kook. That look, however, told Rafe all that he needed to know. 

“It’s about Y/n, isn’t it?”

Kelce frowned, knowing that his best friend had caught on. “Yeah, her and JJ...just don’t go where people are dancing anytime soon, okay dude?” But it was too late. Rafe had already glanced in that direction, your arms around his neck, his hands on your waist, and a look of pure adoration on your face. You used to look at him with that glint in your eyes, but throughout your relationship it seemed to have faded. Eventually, you walk away from JJ, needing another drink, your gaze lingering on his as long as possible before heading off to the keg. 

Rafe doesn’t even know what he’s really doing, his feet just carry him over to JJ. He doesn’t even hear Topper and Kelce’s protests behind him of ‘its not worth it’ ‘leave it alone’, and ‘let’s just have a good time tonight’.

As soon as Rafe reaches JJ, both boys puff out their chests, a habit both boys had developed after countless fights riddled with testosterone. “Listen Maybank, I don’t know what you think you’re doing with my girl, but you better stop.” Rafe growls lowly, speaking so that only JJ could hear despite the crowd of people forming around the two of them.

JJ scoffs before glaring at Rafe, venom in his voice, “She’s not yours anymore, Rafe.” JJ muttered, shoving Rafe when he said his name. “You weren’t good for her, so you better forget about whatever you two had and leave. Oh, and don’t call her up anymore.”

Your phone buzzed against the wooden night stand, pulling you away from tracing shapes on JJ’s bare chest. You reach over him, looking at the caller id, rolling your eyes and wanting to chuck your phone across the room. JJ senses your shift in mood, moving so he’s sitting up slightly and looking at you. “Who is it?” JJ questions, trying to grab for your phone which you hold away from him. You don’t want to tell him who it is, because you know he’ll get worked up as soon as he finds out. “Rafe” you mumble, half hoping he doesn’t hear the name. When you timidly look up at JJ, he’s practically fuming, moving to get up and no doubt head down to Figure 8 and give Rafe a piece of his mind. 

Before he gets much further, you place your hand on his shoulder, and he eases almost instantly under your touch. “Remember what you told me whenever I would come to you crying and broken over that dickwad?” You question, placing a soft his on his neck.

He sighs, realizing where you’re going with it. “Rafe Cameron is not worth a second of your time sweetheart.” You smile against his skin, nodding. “So listen to your own advice J, and come back to bed and cuddle with me.”

Rafe rolls his eyes at the Pogue, stepping closer so that the two were chest to chest. “You may be in her bed, pogue, but I don't want to see your face answer her door. Make no mistake she's mine.” 

JJ was fuming at this point. How dare Rafe say that you were his? You were JJ’s girl. No shouts from John B, Pope, or Kie would be able to dissuade him at this point. “She’s mine. I only know what she's like when she needs me.Oh how she needs me deep in the night.” 

JJ is awoken by your tossing and turning, a slew of murmurs resembling words leaving you lips. He can’t stand to see the pained expression on your face, so he gently shakes you awake. “W-what?” You mumble, rubbing your eyes. “What happened?”

“You were having a nightmare angel.”

“Oh.” 

JJ frowns, placing a strand of hair behind your ear that had gotten tousled with all your tossing and turning. “What was it about.”

You shift uncomfortably, having a clear memory of the nightmare but feeling embarrassed to tell JJ. “I, um-” you look down, suddenly finding a stray thread in the blanket very interesting to play with. JJ places his hands over yours, causing you to stop playing with the thread and look up at him. “You know how you make me tell you about whats on my mind even if I don’t always want to?” You nod in response to his question. “Well I’m gonna hold you up to that same standard right now doll.”

You sigh, knowing that JJ just wanted you to be able to talk to him and lean on him in the way he’d leaned on you many times before. “It was a memory of Rafe on one of his highs. He saw me talking to Topper, and he went mad. He beat up Topper and he just wouldn’t let up. It was terrifying I-I thought..” You choke up, tears falling from your eyes. JJ pulls you into his chest, whispering sweet nothings to you while stroking your hair all in an effort to calm you. From that night onwards, he vowed to try and pick up the pieces that Rafe Cameron had left behind.

Rafe is taken aback by the blond in front of him telling him off instead of going to jab at him. Rafe supposed it would have been easier to get into a physical fight with JJ, because then his thoughts about you could be held close to his heart, unchallenged by the pogue. JJ’s words were hurting Rafe anymore than a physical blow ever could. Before Rafe could respond, your shouts could be heard. As soon as Sarah had told you that Rafe and JJ were in the middle of a crowd of people, looking ready to fight, you rushed over, elbowing your way through the crowd until you had reached your boyfriend, grabbing his hand to pull him out of his daze. “J, babe, look at me,” you say firmly, squeezing his hand so that he’ll look at you. When he finally glances your way, his gaze softens, and you can see some of his tensed muscles relax. “He’s not worth it.” You shake your head, glancing over at Rafe with only distaste in your gaze. You could no longer recall the fondness or love that you once had for the kook, your only memories left were ones of pain and heartache. It had been a toxic relationship for you, and you were lucky that you had left and fell in love with JJ. 

You pull JJ away from Rafe, backing up step by step before Rafe’s voice fills your ears. “JJ, she’s a lot to lose so just..Don't get too close when you dance. Cause I don't want to hear from my friends you were out ... with her in your arms.”

JJ nodded, and a silent understanding seemed to pass between the two men. You were a lot to lose, and JJ would be damned if he was going to do anything to let you go.

You contemplated serving him a plate of bubbling snot and moulded broccoli seasoned with rosemary.

Ofc you didn’t because he always pulls out the puppy eyes and cuddles card after since he knows he’s well and truly rattled your patience lmao.

Actually picks really healthy food options?? Being the captain of a team he has the responsibility of keeping his health in top condition and leading by example so at least he knows the right ingredients to make a bomb-ass and nutritious meal ig.

Summary: After lots of nights having the same dream and recognizing a “mark”, he tries to find why that happened to him...

Another day. Another time with that dream.

He’s clearly confused about it. If that wasn’t enough, his arm itched when he woke up. Again, over that “mark”.

That specific day was meanwhile they were touring, so his bandmates listened to that story again when they were taking their breakfast.

-Do you have that dream again with the two princes, and they were trying to be with you?- Brian asked.

-Yeah and again I ended with that strange man…

-And again you had “the itch”? -Roger asked.

-Exactly. I still have the mark here -Freddie said, pointing to his right forearm and extending it near to Roger.

-I still don’t see anything.

-That damn mark exists!- Freddie exclaimed.

-I don’t know mate, I think you’re going insane. You really should go to the psychiatrist, for real.

-Lots of touring it’s affecting you, I suppose- John pointed, meanwhile he was sipping his tea.

-And you aren’t affected? You’re a damn alcoholic that had his driver licence suspended- Freddie said, impulsively.

John just stared at him in silence, controlling himself to not say something that he would regret later. Both were watching to the other’s eyes. Brian cut off that tension.

-Fred, it doesn’t matter that here. Everyone has their own problems.

-I’m tired of their disbelief. They aren’t even trying to understand me. How many times I need to say that I don’t want to sleep because lately I just have that dream?

-We’re trying to understand you, Fred. Don’t lie like that. If we’re telling you that you need some psychiatric help it’s because we really care about you.

John didn’t want to say anything, he lighted a cigarette to keep his nerves controlled. He decided to contemplate the rest of the scene in silence.

-Really you’re trying to understand me??? Really, Roger?! -Freddie yelled, quite nervous.

-Fred breathe, please. Come with me - Brian said, putting his right hand over Freddie’s left shoulder-. We will return soon -Brian added, watching to John and Roger.

They stood up from the table and left Roger and John alone.

-For real, Freddie worries me -Roger said.

-I just hope he can find a logic explanation of his problem soon.- John said, smoking his cigarette.

Brian and Freddie walked to the hotel’s park. When Brian checked that wasn’t any stranger near to them, Bri started to speak.

-I think I have an explanation -Brian said, watching to that worried brown eyes.

-Please, tell me about it.

Freddie grabbed Brian’s hands. Brian couldn’t help but blush and smile a little. “Try to repress your feelings, you know that he isn’t your soulmate”, thought him.

-Bri, are you okay

Bri quitted his hands of Freddie’s grasp and scratched his forehead with his left hand.

-Yes, sorry. I… was thinking how I tell you this.

-Ah?

-Call me insane, but I read lots of things, no? Well, it exists some myths about something called “soulmate marks”.

Freddie was watching to that hazel eyes a bit confused.

-It’s when you have a mark that refers to your soulmate. I cannot see it, because just you and your soulmate can see it, so, how's the mark?

-Em… It’s like an X with two circles in its extremes.

-Hmm… scissors. A hairdresser perhaps? A gardener?

Freddie tries to remember the dream.

-Oh my… in my dream that strange man had scissors… and he was pruning the plants.

-In a medieval world?

-Yeah…

-Perhaps that’s a signal of him. Also, I see that you aren’t scratching your forearm…

-Yeah, and it’s just white. When it itches, it turns red.

-That’s because you aren’t near to your soulmate… - Brian said, a little sad.

-Are you okay, my dear?

-Yes Fred, it’s just… nothing. -Brian sighed- I hope you can be happy with that person soon.

-It doesn’t seem like nothing, but okay…

-I hope this explanation haves some sense…

-It’s a possibility, my dear. I’ll be more attentive when it starts to itch since now, thanks- Freddie said, hugging Brian

-You’re welcome, Fred- Brian said, watching over Freddie’s head. “I love you, but you don’t belong to me. Damn fate”, thought Brian.

-Please tell me more about that myths, Bri - Freddie said, leaving the embrace.

With that idea in his mind and after reading some stories about soulmate marks and more, he started to go to clubs even more, so he could pass near to the maximum of people. He checked Tinder a lot. He started to worry a lot about this, seeing that his mark don’t turn red meanwhile he was awake (because he still had that dream). Some weeks later this turned into his obsession.

His bandmates noticed this. One afternoon, they were talking about stuff, and Freddie’s thing came to the talk.

-Freddie it’s going worse, what do you say to him? I mean, you never told us what you said to him -Roger asked.

Brian explained briefly about soulmate marks to Roger and John. Both stared at him, trying to understand what he said.

-I barely understood about that, but I feel that you worsened the situation. -Roger responded.

-I tried to give him a possible explanation…

-And that was nice, but now he’s literally obsessed with that. He can’t focus in the band stuff… even he forgets the chords or the lyrics of the songs quite often- John added, lightning a new cigarette.

-You should talk with him about this - Roger said.

-Please Brian -John added, smoking his cigarette.

-Well, I’ll do it, but please don’t be listening behind the dorm’s door. I know you very well… -Brian said, walking to Freddie’s room.

Fifteen minutes later, Brian was knocking Freddie’s hotel room door. Freddie was crying, lying on his bed, watching to the ceiling. When he listened to the knocking he wiped his tears.

-Can I come in? -Brian asked.

-Yeah, my dear -Freddie responded, standing up.

Freddie opened the door and left Brian to enter to his room. 

After closing the door, both sat on a comfy sofa that Freddie had in his room. 

-Tell me what’s wrong Fred.

-I’m not finding him. I need to find him, I need to love him! Why that’s so hard?

Brian sighed deeply and hugged Freddie.

-I mean, I know that life isn’t easy, but I’m eager to know to that mysterious man. Where are you, my love? - continued Freddie, crying again over Brian’s shoulder.- Perhaps the boys are right, I need to go to a psychiatrist.

-You aren’t crazy. You will find him Fred, relax. I think he will appear when you aren’t expecting for it.

Freddie sighed as deep as he could, trying to stop his tears.

-I hope… 

“Brian, don’t be stupid. Don’t tell him your feelings. Fate it’s already written.”

Brian left the embrace.

-Seriously Fred. Focus in your music, in your projects, in the band, make new friends, and you will see that he will appear… Enjoy the ride! I know that’s easy to say, but try to relax. The boys and I will be with you anytime you need something.

-Thank you Bri. You really are my soul brother.

“I hate myself for my feelings” Brian thought. He couldn’t help but start to cry. Listen from Freddie’s mouth that he hadn’t romantic feelings for him was devastating. Didn’t care how many times he said to himself “fate it’s already written, he will not be with you”, remember his status of “brother” hurt like a kick in the crotch.

Freddie saw Bri’s crying tears, and he hugged Brian tightly.

After his talk with Brian, Freddie tried to put into practice his friend’s advice, and he saw the difference. Yeah, he still had that dream often, but he was enjoying more of his days.

Months later, being in that situation, he decided to go to a club. He was entering there and his mark was itching. “Today it’s the night” he thought. His soulmate was near.

While he was drinking something, he noticed the person that was next to him. The mark was itching harder. Plus, he studied his profile and reminded him to the strange man of his dreams. “Fuck, it’s him! I need to talk with him right now”, Freddie thought.

-Hello gorgeous -Freddie said.

The person was surprised for that sudden compliment.

-Hi -he responded, meanwhile was scratching his left forearm.

-Do you have a mark there? -Freddie pointed.

The man watched to that brown eyes with his wide open eyes.

-Em… how do you know that?

-Because that happens to me right now, and I can see it.

-I think I know you - Jim said, suddenly.

-Really?

-Sometimes I have some dreams and always I’m with someone with your face, and this shit -he pointed to his left forearm-itches as hell.

-That happens to me too, but with you.

Jim had his eyes wide open.

-Do you know the concept of soulmate marks?

-Nope.

-Are marks that just you and your soulmate have or can see.

-So...

-We’re destined to be together, honey. Tell me your name.

-Jim Hutton -he replied, still surprised.- Yours?

-I’m Freddie, your future boyfriend.

Jim couldn’t help but smile.

-Let’s see… may the fate speak -Jim added, still sceptical.

They didn’t know when they decided to go to the club that they will meet, and their life would change. Also, they didn’t imagine that holidays they would be in good company, with their significant other, their soulmate.

Fob Survey Results

Hi! So, a few days ago I made a post asking u all to take a survey i made so i could, basically, just see the different opinions in the fandom and nearly 400 people responded, which is crazy! I didn’t know that many ppl still were in fob bandom 😳 Anyways, without further adieu, the results are enclosed below under the cut!

First, I wanna start with some disclaimers or lil housekeeping things. The first thing I wanna mention is that, obviously, this sampling of people is small compared to every single fan of them ever but regardless of that i’m still gonna be referring to it all very generally just bc that’s easier for me lol. Next, I made a pie chart for every single question just so there was a visual of it but a few of them are a bit stuffed, just because the sheer amount of variety in peoples answers, which is great! But I just wanted to warn, and assure that i’ll be breaking down the charts a bit below the pictures so it’s more comprehensible. Also everything is color coded to try and make it a little easier! Lastly, more info and like discussion about any of this is totally welcome! if u have q’s, ask me! 

Question 1: When Did You Become A Fan?

This chart is one of the more comprehensible ones, thankfully. It shows that the era most fans became a fan was srar era, with 104 people answering that. The era with the least being tttyg era with only 5 people (technically pre-tttyg era/folie era since no one answered those). It’s so cool, to me, to see such a variety of answers! Fob rly are timeless 😌

Question 2: What’s Your Favorite Album?

I feel, for me, this one wasn’t a big surprise. Folie is clearly the fan favorite with 37%, while take this your grave is in last with only 9 people saying it was their fav. Again, lots of variety in this which is pretty cool to see! (also sorry that ab/aps name got cut off lol)(Also also justice for abap and mania)

Question 3: What’s Your Favorite EP/Non-Album?

Here, Lake Effect Kid Ep dominated the results with 126 people saying it was their favorite. B-Side was sort of close behind, with Pax Am Days in third. Here, what surprised me, was that anybody answered with eowyg or llamania, tbh. And, though I didn’t include it in the chart, 7 people answered saying they didn’t have a fav or hadn’t ever listened to one of them!

Question 4: Who’s Your Favorite Member?

This was one of the most biased questions with nearly 50% of u saying Patrick is your fav. I expected that, though I thought it’d be more of a battle between him and Pete. The only thing rly worth saying, ig, is that Andy and Joe deserve more love :(

Question 5: Favorite Fob Related Artist?

When I made this question and put mcr as an option I knew they’d be number one, so that’s not a shocker, to me. Here are your guys’ top 3 fob adjacent artists: 1. My chemical romance 2. Paramore 3. Panic! at the disco And, honestly, rest didn’t stand a chance against those 3 which I kinda expected but it is nice to see Some people appreciating cobra and gch! (Misc. answers included bands like idkhow, waterparks, as well as green day and elton john! Lots of variety!)

Question 6: What’s Your Favorite Song?

This question is where it starts to get a bit messier. I did my best to make it as clean as possible, but it still def looks a little wacky (sorry). According to you all, however, your top 3 favorite fob songs are as follows: 1. Disloyal order 2. (Coffee’s for closers) 3. Hum hallelujah Now, I am not at all surprised that disloyal order is that high up there, nor does hum hallelujah surprise me but coffee’s for closers kinda does! I’m also shocked that ginasfs isn’t higher. (where’s tkaa tho)

Question 7: Most Underrated Song?

Luckily, I managed to get this one a bit more organized looking (in my eyes) but, again, sorry if it’s messy! Regardless, according to you all, the top 3 most underrated fob songs are: 1. You’re crashing, but you’re no wave 2. From now on we are enemies = Headfirst slide 3. Twin Skeleton’s (Hotel in NYC) = Coffee’s for closers What is the funniest, and most interesting to me here, is that there are so many ties and also that 2 of these songs (Headfirst slide and coffee’s for closers) were in your top 5 favorite songs... making them clearly not underrated. I was delighted to see you’re crashing at 1, though. It hits hard.

Question 8: Most Overrated Song?

Now, with this one, I fully expected the results I got. It was very predictable: The singles are the most overrated. Something about them playing nonstop on the radio 6+ years ago rly bugged y’all (/j). Here are your top 3 most overrated songs: 1. Centuries  2. Uma Thurman = Immortals 3. My Songs  I’m very very stunned to see what a catch on there. And to all the people that said mania and the kids aren’t alright: ow :(

All the this or that’s are pretty self-explanitory, I believe. By a very thing margin, you all prefer sugar over thnks fr the mmrs!

By another very thing margin, wams beat out just one yesterday.

Question 11: This Or That 3

A pattern you’ll notice is that all of these are super close... once again, by a thing margin, Immortals (famously disliked) beat out champion (even more disliked apparently)

Question 12: This Or That 4

This one was ridiculously close the entire survey, for a majority of it pavlove was winning, actually. But, at the very end, from now on we are enemies won it 183 to 146.

Question 13: This Or That 5

Lastly for the this or that series, we have the most biased one. I thought this would be closer, but clearly you all have a Lot of love for disloyal order, picking it over the kids aren’t alright 240 to 105. That’s fuckin crazy.

Question 14: What’s Your Favorite Lyric?

For this one, so many people answered so many different lyrics all presented in a different way that I physically could not bring myself to organize them like i did the previous song questions. So, I present to you the songs that were quoted/referenced the most and therefore are precieved to have the best lyricism, according to you all. The top 3 most mentioned songs are: 1. Disloyal order (shocker) 2. Hum Hallelujah 3. Wams = Miss Missing You What surprised me the most here was that apparently overrated songs appeared, with a few people mentioning centuries, my songs, what a catch among others. And that disloyal order once again came out on top. 

Conclusion: What I learned from this is follows; the fob fandom (on here) is made up of people with somehow both very varied and yet congruent opinions. We might not all have the same favorite album or ep but we do all lose our minds to disloyal order and think that patrick is the best which i think is just beautiful.  (Feel free to come into my inbox and talk to me about this!! Naturally, I have all the data- the stuff that’s hard to see or wasn’t shown on the charts is interesting too. I’d love to talk about any of it!)

Honestly, it’s my fault for making it a celebration where Steve had gotten his childcare license that day, cuz I got a lot of ppl like “dude wtf Billy he’s gonna get fired.” My intention was for just some silly shit, cuz honestly Steve and Billy are both assholes in their own right, and dumb asses, but it didn’t come across that way to all, I found out. And I made it Hopper who was called because honestly, he knows Steve and would just be like “Please, for the love of god, put your dick away, please Steve, I wanna go home.” And then Steve ran which just wasn’t what Hopper had hoped.

But essentially, that one was just prompted by the video. (When I’m not at work, I’ll edit this with the link to the vid if I can find it.) And I love college fics with drunk dumbasses, so like. I kinda had to once the worm made its way into my brain lmao. I wrote the second part because quite a few ppl were upset with the ending and I wanted to just. Expand on my idea of how it worked out.

Would Love to Love You came about because I think was watching Across the Universe and the lyrics “I must be sure, from the very that, that you would love me more than her” just. Sparked some pining Billy in me. I started that one in Nov 2019, but didn’t finish and post till like Aug 2020. But anyway. I just. Was really thinking about Billy wanting Steve but assuming he was still pining over Nancy. That he loved her the best. And El can read minds so she knows he doesn’t still love Nancy. But how to convince Billy.

Plus I love stories with El not allowing ppl to shit on Billy and being the driving force of him joining the group instead of Steve. So I wanted to write a bit about that.

That’s probably my favorite bit for that one. It’s. It’s a very simple part of it, but like, I dunno. I just really like the dynamic in their relationship that it highlights. How El is allowed a certain in to Billy’s mind that no one else gets. Because she’s really the only one who’d truly understand his anger as well as the MF.

blue  is  the  only  daughter  to  a  couple   of  south  korean  immigrants  that  came  to   america  when  they  were  in  their  very  early  20s  n  already  expecting  blue  in  order  to  chase  the  american  dream  n  create  a  better  life  for  themselves  n  their  family  .  their  life  was  pretty  hard  for  a  big  part  of  blue’s  childhood  ,  while  they  were  both  studying  n  working  odd  jobs  to  pay  for  their  education  all  the while  taking  care  of  a child .  so  blue  didnt  have  the  best  childhood  ,  not  that  her parents  were  bad  or  anything  they  just  didnt  have  time  for  her  . nowadays  ,  they  are  a  lot  more  comfortable  in  life  ,  since  her  dad  became  a  lawyer  n  her  mom  is  a  nurse  ,  but  they  definitely  didnt  have  an  easy  beginning  .

ok  so  maybe  bc  they  werent  present  durant  most  of  her  childhood  they  didnt  notice  a  lol  of  signs  that  might  have  made  things  a  lot  easier  for  them  ,  bc  by  the  time  they  were  available  to  emotionally  be  there  , during  her  early  teenage  years ,  blue  was  already  kinda  a  mess . she  had  grown  up  w  very  lil  structure  n  refused  the  rules  they  tried  to  instill  on  her  n  was  already  used  to  doing  things  her  own  way  .  that  lead  to  a  lot  of  conflict  between  them  ,  since  they  expected  her  to  study  hard  n  do  well  for  herself  in  a  nine to fiver  when  she  was  already  sure  art  was  the  only  way  to  go  n  while  she  did  ok  ,  she  definitely  wasn’t  as  good  as  her parents  expected  her  to  be .

so  ...  u  know   her  teenage  yrs  were  basic  girl  angsty  she  fought  a  lot  w  her  parents  n  rebelled  frequently  n  ran  away  from  home  like  ...  weekly  ,  but  she  never  rly  had  any  real  hardships  .  life  was  reasonably  good  but  she  always  had  something  to  complain  abt  ...  just  as  she  liked

but  then  she  reached  her  late  teens    they  all  realized  there  was  something  going  on  other   than  the  usual  teenage  angst  she  displayed  all the time  when  she  had  her  first  manic  episode  .   her  parents  thought  it was  a  “  blue  thing  “  at  first  bc  she  was  usually  a  very  impulsive  person  n  she  rly  didn’t  have  a  habit  of  thinking  before  acting  on  her  impulses  ,   but  her  mom  quickly  noticed  the  signs  of  a  manic  episode  when  she  realized  how  aggitated  n   restless  she  was  , specially  when  blue  described  an   hallucination  she  seemed  to  be  having  .   they  took  her  to  a  psychiatrist  ,  she  was  admitted  to  a  hospital  n  diagnosed  w  type 1  bipolar  disorder  n  very  quickly  medicated .  while  the  medication  brought  her  out  of  her  episode  ,  n  she  was  allowed  to  go  home  after  her  mood  seemed  to stabilize  ,   blue  also  noticed  it  stunted  her  severely  emotionally  n  decided  (  against  medical  n  parental  advice  [  pls  dont  do  it  fam  !!  take  ur  meds  ]  )  to  quit  her  medication  ,  falling  into  her  first  major  depressive  episode  a  few  weeks  afterwards  . n  for  abt  four  years  she’s  been  living  w  her  disorder  ,  n  she  doesn’t  medicate  at  all  .  she’s  super  open  abt  her struggles  n  she  has  a  Lot  of  them  ,  specially  w  how  much  drugs  n  alcohol  she  consumes  .   i  never  said  she  was  smart  yall  .

ok  so  as  u  probably  assume  ,   blue  is  an  emotional  mess  .  she  has  a   very  chaotic  personality  ,  n  most  of it  isnt  even  from  her  illness or  anything  she  just  is  a  very  chaotic  person  in  general  ?  she  is   one  of  those  artsy  ppl  who  forgets  to  wash  her  own  clothes  so  she  ends  up  wearing  the  same  dress for  like  ,  3 days .  she’s  super  outspoken  n  outgoing  n  rly easy  at  making  friends  if  u  can  get  past  the  dumbass energy  she  exudes 24/7  ?  but  yes  just  a  very  outgoing  person  n  a  outright  mess  most  of  the  time  .  she  is  also  soooo stubborn  u  will  never  get  her  to  change  her  mind  abt  smth  she  believes  to  be  right  about  in  any  way  .  u  just  cant  .  she  loves  a  good  time  n  loves  partying  n  is  the  lack  of  impulse  Queen  soo if  u  got  any  bad  ideas  she  is  the  one   u  should  go  for  if  u  need  any  company  .  also .... so dramatic  .  she  makes  a  big  deal  of  everything  n  has  0  apologies  abt  that  .  just  catch  her  crying  over  high  school  musical  3  or  smth  like  that  .

but  yea  on  the  bad  side  tho  ,  blue  takes  up  n  gives  up  on  projects  so  easily  n  she  can  be  super  fickle  abt  things  in  general  .  like  ,  she  will  defend  an  idea  for  7  hours  but  2  days  later  she’s  already  onto  smth  else  n  doesnt  even  remember  being  so  obsessive  abt  that  other  thing  ?  a  mess .  is  also  Quite  abrasive  ?  if  she  thinks  ur  acting  dumb  shes  not  gonna  be  scared  to  call u  out  on  it  .  can  also  have a  Reaally  explosive  temper  .  not  usually  but  specially  during  manic  episodes  she  can  be  quite  easy  to  annoy  ngl  .  is  very  unreliable  ,  especially  if ur not  too  close  ..  tbh  that  is  something  connected  to  her  disorder  .  when  she’s  on  a  manic  episode  ,  she  will be  too busy  planning  things  she  will  never  get  around  to  doing  or  painting  her  entire  house  or  spending  3  days  awake  n  drunk  writing  17  songs  by  herself  .  n  during  her  depression  is  very  hard  to  get  her  to  do  anything  n  even  if  she  feels  terrible  , she  rly  cant be  an  available  friend  .

in  regards  to  her  sexuality  ,  she’s  an  open  bisexual  and   also  is  a  crazy  romantic  n  falls  so  hard  for  literally  no  reason .  but  like  ...  doesnt  have  the  healthiest  mentality  for  relationships  ?  not  like  in  a  toxic  way  but  she  will usually  give  145%  of  herself  at  all times  n  honestly  believes  all  of  the  ppl  she  falls  for  are  the one (1)  just  wants  to  make  things  work  no  matter  what  .  she’s  v  impulsive  w/  meeting  n  falling  for  ppl  tho  so  things  dont  rly  end  up  working  n  she  always  ends  up  heartbroken  over it  .  Well  .  At least she’s  trying  right  ?

in regards  to  her  career  n  art  , she’s  posted  youtube  covers  n  original  songs  for  a  couple  years  and  gathered a  decent  following  ?  she  wasnt  huge  or  anything  but  she  did  get  a  record  deal  w  an  actual  big  label  out  of  it  a  few  months  ago  .  blue  was  pretty  happy  abt  it  but  then  when  the  recording  process  started  she  realized  they  werent  treating  her  as she  thought  she  deserved  at  all  ?  which  resulted  on her  taking  her  thoughts  to  some  reps  of  the  label  n  when  she  didn’t  feel  any  difference  in  the  way  she  was  being  treated  she  took  it  to  the public  ?  which  definitely  caused  quite a  sitr  bc  she  wasn’t  a  huge  name  but  she  was  big  enough  ?  so  now  she’s  in  some  considerable  trouble  w  her  label  but  Also  more  famous  than  ever  so  they  are  choosing  not  to  bury  her  for  now  ?  she’s  in  some  definite  trouble  though  so  it’ll  be  fun  to  see  what  happens  next  n  what  her  moves  will be  ?  spoiler  alert :  it’ll prob  be  smth  dumb.
