Excerpts about Kazuya
Tumblr media
Chapter 5 | First encounter
The black-haired lad was standing in the doorway. His long hair dropped nicely on his shoulders. The slender frame, yet muscular arms. His bangs hid the eyes. The tattoo of a dragon going through his stomach down to the…
Well, Kazuya was intriguing. He had good physic and an idiotic personality. That’s all that prince needed sometimes. The lad’s stature took a full door frame just by standing in the way.
Tumblr media
Chapter 8 | Intimate moment
Kazuya led him to his quite small room. It was filled with occult books and video games. There was a single bed in a room with black bedsheets. On it, there was a pillow and on the wall, there were posters of various landscapes – from dark forests to castles. There were pictures with men and women alike too, they all wore dark, quite messy-looking styles, and some of them had brightly colored hair.
<...> Kazuya had a tattoo of the dragon on his back, and another, smaller one on his abdomen. The dragon tail was circling his left leg and the head almost always peaked out of his jeans.
Phobos was tracing with his fingers the drawn dragon's jaw. Did dragons symbolize the power and riches for Kazuya too? Or perhaps it was to showcase endurance through the shared time and effort that took to get these tattoos made.

I was thinking about a post about how Malleus Tsum stayed and kept watch over Silver Tsum while it slept. I was just thinking about what if Malleus actually does that and Silver just doesn’t know.
I imagine it would have started when Silver was young, and Malleus would occasionally stop by the cottage. Silver would be playing outside with the forest creatures and then suddenly be asleep. Malleus, not exactly knowing what to do, figured that leaving a weak human child unattended in the woods was probably not great, so he just silently watched close by.
And Malleus keeps doing it even after Silver grows up because he knows Silver is strong and can defend himself. But when Silver sleeps, he can’t defend himself; he’s totally vulnerable (not that the forest creatures would ever harm him, but still). There have been a couple of instances where a bear wanders close, and Malleus thinks he has to intervene, but it just ends up cuddling next to Silver, and Malleus is left there, wondering, “Is this normal? This doesn’t feel normal.”
Silver never sees this because Malleus always keeps his distance and leaves as soon as Silver wakes up because Lilia says that Silver is at that age where he should be “independent” or whatever that means. He’ll at least keep it a secret because he doesn’t want to embarrass the boy when Silver is technically supposed to be protecting him.
Things get interesting when Silver enrolls in NRC because the woodland creatures would never harm Silver. The students at NRC? Harm physically? Meh, maybe if Silver was sleeping in someone’s path to class. Trick, prank, and steal stuff? Most definitely.
Silver doesn’t seem to understand that other people may not have the best intentions, and falling asleep on campus with all his school stuff next to him is not the best idea. Especially in a school where the students are known to have less-than-stellar moral compasses. Not that he can help it, of course. Once he feels sleepy, he’s down.
During the first couple weeks of his first year, some students try to prank Silver or take his stuff when he is asleep. However, when they try, they feel a shiver of dread when Malleus fucking Draconia appears right behind them, asking them what they think they’re doing.
Malleus wasn’t planning on harming any of said students. Intentionally. He knows better than that, at least. But his reputation precedes him, and he scares the would-be perpetrators shitless, so it becomes common knowledge around the school not to mess with a sleeping Silver unless you want to be at the receiving end of Malleus’s glare.
Silver doesn’t know this is happening and thinks NRC is safe and filled with kind students. Malleus swears he will never say a word about this to Silver, and Lilia knows and thinks it’s hilarious.
Sebek does not know this occurs at all and will run around looking for Malleus until he finds Silver. He demands that Silver wake up to help look for him and Malleus decides that he can stay hidden for a couple of minutes more as his retainers now run around looking for him.
Tldr: NRC students know better than to mess with Silver when he’s asleep because there is a non-zero chance that an unamused Malleus will show up and make you piss yourself

now that i've finished tgcf i can make memes about all three books! i was tempted to put binghe at the absolute center because he could easily go into any quadrant at different points in his life, and both lwj and hua cheng could swing jock, but i think the most important thing is that wei wuxian is all four at once. somehow.

Crown Prince Shen Yuan (just... Crown prince, cultivates as a hobby, but no further) which is forcibly compromised with the Demon Emperor Luo Binghe in order to strengthen a peaceful relationship between the human and demon realms. And Shen Yuan is FURIOUS. HOW DARE THEY PROMISE HIM IN MARRIAGE TO SOMEONE HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW?! EVEN IF HE'S TRACED THE POWERFUL DEMON EMPEROR, THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE WANTS TO MARRY HIM!!
Anyway, he'll do whatever it takes to break that engagement. Ha! If those tutors and advisors think he'll just stand by and watch them manage his life, NO WAY! Shen Yuan may have a boring palace life reading about monsters and plants (and trashy novels that traffic in servants when no one is looking) but it's HIS life. He decides what he'll do! They can't steal that from him!!
He will ruin that engagement. No marriage commitment is necessary, gentlemen! Hasn't anyone heard of peace treaties and trade agreements? Seriously! And he's the irresponsible young man, according to reports!
So, fully determined, he will do all kinds of things necessary to ruin that engagement. Disdaining wedding gifts? Done. Sending clearly offensive and uncharacteristic wedding gifts? Done. Dressing inappropriately for peace celebrations? Done. Get drunk and be rude and hostile to prove that he's a silly, conceited guy and that no one will benefit from marrying him? Done.
Shen Yuan does everything he has to do, but NOTHING WORKS? REALLY? Why do the damn demons at court think that behavior is acceptable!? He's being hostile!! Rude! Why do the demons think he's accepting courtship satisfactorily!? Idiots!!!
Determined to go all out and flout all the rules of engagement, Shen Yuan runs away to the Demon Emperor's palace, determined to meet him in person and ruin any expectations Lord Luo might have of him. Then Luo Binghe will see that he is a hostile, rude, noisy boy, that his life will be fucking ruined if he marries him, and that this arranged marriage is a horrible farce!!
... So he meets him in person. Oh god. Okay. Shen Yuan has new plans.
Well, their arranged marriage and peace agreements are on the table for late fall. Shen Yuan needs to fuck Luo Binghe before that, then, it will be a scandal!!! Which will make them get married quickly, without arrangements, without festivities, and of course without forcing him just the way his palace court wanted!! No fancy wedding arrangements! No more having any say over him! Ha!!
If Shen Yuan is going to marry Luo Binghe, it will be on his own terms, thank you for nothing!!

the barista lady in the treviso café fucking giggles every time you buy the fancy coffee lucanis likes from her btw. can't believe the game is calling out rook and me like this
#I've tried it several times to check it wasn't a fluke and nope it does happen consistently I'm pretty sure it's intentional#bioware Know. they knowwww. they know exactly what I'm like and god bless them for it#dragon age#dragon age: the veilguard spoilers#dragon age: the veilguard#dragon age spoilers#lucanis dellamorte#rook x lucanis#rookanis#café pietra barista gazing kindly at rye like 'I know what you are.' (a simp) while the tips of his ears go very very warm#clearly some sort of underlying drift compatability here since rook in one night can somehow manage to hit on all two (2)#of the elements of lucanis' instinctive understanding of courtship behaviour (knives and coffee/food) hfksjdfhas#in lucanis' defense when a guy buys you knives AND good coffee (despite not even drinking the stuff much himself) on a first date...#when your love language is that unhinged and they straight up compose a shakespeare level sonnet in it on the spot#seemingly without even realizing it. I mean what else can you be expected to do but fall so cataclysmically in love#that you'd kill god over it any day of the week easy. wild stuff#even wilder since in my playthrough he isn't entirely sure rye meant anything by it/as more than a friendly gesture#for like. MONTHS.#lucanis is a regular at that place and they all for sure know exactly who he is so can you IMAGINE the gossip that must start#after that conversation starts to take on a flirty edge. hotboi crown prince of the crows returns from the dead and is making eyes#at ~*mysterious stranger*~ who just showed up in town. some I hear netherfield park is let at last stuff going on for these guys#as they watch all of this go down

In the Cruel Prince book, what would happen if Jude did choose to live with Vivienne?
Would Cardan become secretly distraught and drink himself into depression?
Would Cardan try to find her in the human world?
Would Taryn handle being by herself?
Would the 3 mean girls bully Taryn less or more since Jude isn't there to defend her?
Would Cardan and Nicasia get back together again?

Here’s the thing I need people to understand:
Even if we believe that the (entirely unproven and far too politically convenient) pre-contract story between Edward IV and Eleanor Talbot was true, it doesn’t actually matter. Even if it was hypothetically true, there was still no reason why Edward V – who was already King at that point and was referred to as such – couldn’t have been able to succeed his father regardless.
David Horspool (Richard's own historian) summarizes it better than I could, so I’m just quoting him here:
"[Richard also made] no allowance for any potential solution to the problem that might have re-legitimized Edward V and his siblings. These included securing a retrospective canonical or papal judgement of the invalidity of the pre-contract; an Act of Parliament legitimizing the children of Edward and Elizabeth Woodville’s marriage, as happened to Henry VIII’s variously tainted offspring; or even ignoring the issue and proceeding to the coronation of Edward V, which would legitimize him by making him the Lord’s anointed, and render allegations of his bastardy as newer versions of the old tittle-tattle about his father."
In short, even if Edward IV truly had a pre-contract with Eleanor Talbot, and even if all of his children with Elizabeth Woodville were supposedly illegitimate, it should by no means prevent Edward V from succeeding his father to the throne. If Richard truly wanted to support his nephew, he had a variety of useful and entirely workeable options to choose from. Instead, he officially declared his nieces and nephews (including a literal 3-year-old) illegitimate, kept Edward V and his even younger brother confined in the Tower of London, and declared himself King.
Why didn't Richard take these actions, all of which he would have been well aware of? As Horspool says simply: "that Richard took none of these courses was because he had no interest in doing so."
The ONLY conclusion we can come to based on Richard's actions is summarized most succinctly by A.J Pollard:
"The truth of the matter is that Richard III did not want Edward V to be legitimate because he did not want him to be king."

Bad dark joke but I feel like cultural representations of crown prince rudolf and the extreme overemphasis/influence of 1888-1889 in discussions of him are kind of like the internet meme thing with blobfish. Like that's his sad corpse you're parading around and showing to people,,,,,

Did merlin turned darker and more morally corrupt as the seasons progressed? (This isn't part of the game, I haven't watched the whole show but my mom does so I know a bit, and sometimes it really seems merlin is the #1 enemy of magic as long as Arthur is safe and happy)
yea and no????
like he does get more apathetic with killing people (as in, he isn’t as conflicted about it because his end goal is keeping Arthur alive) and he does have a hand in sabotaging events that could have helped with magic being seen as good (however, it’s not his intention). a lot of the time he feels that he doesn’t have a choice because if he were to choose between magic and Arthur, Merlin will choose Arthur
he did it in 2x08 (I may disagree with the writers’ choice here but the point still stands), he did in 4x02 choosing to sacrifice himself in Arthur’s place, and he did it in 5x05 choosing Arthur’s life again despite knowing that risked Mordred’s own life and the future of magic in Camelot
I wouldn’t call him corrupt and darker in a villainess sense but rather corrupt and darker in a sense where he has spent 10 years being told Arthur was destined to bring the Golden Age of Magic and he was meant to protect him, but then he got too attached to Arthur and no longer cared for the goal everyone set for him. He had a new goal by s4 which was keep Arthur alive despite everything
