𝗜𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀? If someone asks me this, I'd say a 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝘆𝗲𝘀, and it's the reason behind. They use guilt-tripping, gaslighting, and many other techniques just to 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 for faults they didn't commit.

Where I work, they mostly give one lecture at least for free. But when I went there, I didn't know this rule. Because I was new, I didn't know this, so they took advantage by taking my lecture. One day, they even took my break time, and one senior told me about this rule. I didn't know, so I told my senior, and she told the mam. The mam called me and said I was

unprofessional because I talked about my rights on that day. How do they trap us by not telling rules and making me feel guilty because I talked about my rights? Here, she used the guilt-tripping technique.

𝗚𝗮𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: Another incident - she was passing outside my class at the end of the lecture and stopped outside my class, shouting "Please come to my office after teaching." I went there, and she said she never saw me standing. I said it was impossible; I was teaching for four and a half months, covering my whole syllabus. How could I do all this without standing? I suggested taking an assessment from my class, and she immediately took offense. I said I was just asking, and she said she trusted me. Here, she gaslighted me, unclear about what she exactly wanted.

It's super secret because the stuff that's interesting to me is the apartment residents banding together to figure shit out. If I wrote this we'd probably be 20 chapters deep before any known PIDW characters showed up, and Demon Lord Luo Binghe isn't showing up until after the retired electrician grandpa and the engineering students (apartments were near a college so there's a bunch of students in the building) have figured out how to make their own solar panels.

(Also this is secretly about giving Mu Qingfang a happy ending because his canon PIDW situation is Real Sad- he shows up at the apartment and adopts the small gaggle of med students and starts a clinic.)

(Also he might start a lil cultivation school because a bunch of the residents got brand new shiny spiritual veins when they transmigrated and they have no idea what to do with them.)

As an American Catholic, I would just like to say I think a lot of American Catholics really need to sit down and learn Catholic Social Teaching. I don't care if you say you are liberal or conservative. Please, for pete's sake, learn basic Catholic Social Teaching.

ETA BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE GETTING SNARKY: i am asking it this specific way with these specific poll options (american vs non-american) because it's my understanding and experience that most US state public schools actively suppress any teaching of labor history in any concrete way to the point of editing textbooks. i'm not trying to be an american exclusionist here or say that there weren't non-american labor movements. i'm saying that as a historian with degrees i have noticed that there is a very different attitude towards teaching labor history in the united states than there is in other countries. for fuck's sake.

Listen, I am aromantic, but it's getting cold and dark and I so desperately want somebody who I can cuddle under my covers with, somebody I can teach to dance, somebody I can drag outside at night when we're supposed to be inside, and it's so cold that it could start snowing any minute, or maybe already be snowing, and then we would go and sit in the dark at the lake with the lights while listening to Taylor Swift and sharing my headphones, and then dancing around outside to mirrorball and not caring who sees us because we are so madly platonically in love with each other that we only care about the other. I want somebody to drag around charity shops while I plan my Halloween costume, and my birthday outfit, and the outfit for the various Christmas parties I will take them too- even the one hosted by the church that I usually end up just sitting in a side room watching whatever Nativity movie they put on for the entire time. The kids would ask if we were dating, and we'd just look at each other and giggle, while my parents and grandparents who are watching us bicker over an Uno game are thinking about how pure our love is. Kisses are always an option, but never pushed for, and even if the other person liked me romantically they would be okay with and understand how I don't feel the exact same way, but I still love them so so much. Like a platonic soulmate. We would share clothes, and I'd save them a piece of my birthday cake, if they weren't already there for it. We would go on walks together, and they would be one of the first people I call when the cold weather is affecting my mood or my health, and then they would come over unprompted with something sweet and a hoodie. We would both chill on my bed, not caring about how cramped it is or the fact that my bed is a high rise so we can't sit up straight, because we don't have any trouble with being close to the other, and on days where it may be hard to be physically close to someone, they would sit back patiently and read me a chapter of whatever book we had picked up, pausing to add their own witty comments and applauding me when I guess what will happen next accurately. We wouldn't even necessarily be 'dating'- and we wouldn't label what we had as romantic, despite the dates and the kisses and the cuddles, and we'd both be fine with it. We would just exist together, in the same space, comfortably.

Dyou think that when Stede is sad or having a bad day he just stays quiet? The average person can’t tell he’s not doing good but Ed just knows. His jokes are less enthusiastic, he makes fewer silly comments, and he’s got this faraway look in his eyes. And Ed knows he’s gonna have to ask multiple times before he actually gets Stede to tell him what’s up cause Stede will always just go “yes I’m fine don’t worry just tired ☺️” at first. But eventually when whatever is bothering him comes out he’ll get to spend the rest of the day wrapped up in Ed’s arms.

This girl brought up Taylor’s catalogue yesterday in my class in reference to something and this teenage boy basically GROWLED at her to stop and I said “okay I think you can handle a passing reference to Taylor Swift’s discography, if you knew how much I was continually holding back you would appreciate it” and a) that kind of behavior is wildly rude, and b) I love being in the position of power to de-escalate it.

if a teacher at a Catholic school is a poor role model of the moral life in a public way, they should be fired, simple as. if a teacher at a Catholic school cannot accurately describe and vocally affirm the teachings of the Catholic Church when asked, they should be fired, simple as. if a teacher at a Catholic school is known publically to be a non-practicing Catholic, they should be fired, simple as. Close schools if there aren't enough staff. I don't care. I'm sick of our Catholic schools disobeying the Bishop, the Church at large and pushing relativistic nonsense onto students as Catholicism.

it does kinda feel crazy to know enough about a topic that i consistently come to work at the museum and they're like "can you give a tour today on this or that aspect of the museum's collection?" and i don't need to even prepare anything, i can just say yes. like again, i know this is like. normal. for adults with jobs to be able to do their job. but it still feels weird to me that i can speak with authority about anything other than fandom
