#probably an unpopular opinion

what was your least favorite part of acosf
Good question, anon! And my answer is probably going to be an unpopular one. There are several scenes that I can point out as contenders for least favorite but there are actually two characters that made ACOSF very difficult for me.
The first was Amren. Amren’s agenda to put Rhysand on the throne despite his insistence that he doesn’t want to conquer Prythian. Amren’s suggestion that Nesta use the mask and the weapons that she made with her power to make Rhys King (when at this point, there was every indication that the mask could kill Nesta). And then when Nesta went down on her knees to beg forgiveness from Amren who had previously called Nesta a pathetic waste of life, I literally threw my book at the wall.
The narrative that Nesta hurt so many (see: Feyre) and needed to earn their forgiveness still pisses me off to this day especially when every single member of the inner circle is still given the luxury to behave in other destructive manners, and none of them are held accountable or had their lives threatened if they didn’t toe the line.
My second issue with ACOSF was Feyre. I don’t tend to discuss it much given that she’s a pretty popular character. Feyre was my least favourite character in the original trilogy, and she remained my least favourite after ACOSF but for different reasons.
I take major issue with the fact that she was handed a (pretty powerful) title which can only be passed on through magic, but that’s something I’d need a whole other post for…in ACOSF, her character did nothing with that power. Yes, the plot was focused on Nesta, but we saw enough of Feyre because of the baby plot, and she was watered down to a pregnant trophy wife who was given a title so that she can feel important. She could have done so much for the females of the Night Court (the Hewn City females; and the Illyrian females which she frequently likes to take the form of so she can fly around and screw Rhys with the wings that they cannot use)…I just feel SJM really took a massive misstep by not making Feyre at least earn the respect of a High Lady with the people of her court through her actions, not because Rhys told them to respect her because they are mates.
Instead, she was decorating mansions and painting portraits. She was being a trophy wife, pregnant or not. And this was further confirmed by the fact that not a single member of her found family (who Feyre places on a pedestal over her own sisters) defended her when the time came.
I can still handle the minor issues I had with Nessian and the so-called ‘intervention and Rehab’ for the sake of the plot but I did not enjoy Amren and Feyre in this book, unfortunately.

idk maybe it’s just me but i’m a bit annoyed that so many prompts on whumpblr need to have a whumper in them. don’t get me wrong, i get the appeal and i do like whump with whumpers in it sometimes but there’s so much you can do without one and it feels like most people just ignore it

I always see takes saying afo acted as a parent to yoichi (and that he was parentified at a young age) but tbh I don't see their dynamic in that light. especially since afo is so adamant on emphasizing their relationship as siblings rather than trying to impose himself as a parent to yoichi.
yeah afo did take care of yoichi, but them being twins makes the parent aspect fall apart to me and just because he took care of yoichi doesn't mean they have a relationship that is more similar parent/child dynamic. at least imo. I don't think yoichi was extremely helpless when he was younger and was able to handle himself a little even without afo as he became older. afo just made it easier to survive. (and yes I know yoichi would've been dead without him I'm talking about when he got a bit older)

Do you think Netty is actually foul-mouthed? I’ve just noticed that in your fanfic(s) she doesn’t cuss. Was this a personal choice or do you just genuinely think she doesn’t cuss?
Probably a little bit of both. I do believe Nettles does have an very extensive vocabulary and she says things that noble women or more “respectable women” would not, but do I believe she’s out there cursing like a sailor? Nope.
Honestly, I think she’s a person who wears her heart on her sleeves and isn’t afraid to voice her opinions or say something that would be deemed “unladylike,” but I don’t think she’s that “foul-mouthed” (and even if she was, what she says when she's being crass is probably born out of protection more than anything else).

I present to you: my three least favorite characters, bristlefrost firestar and dovewing
firestar is like a giant leafless tree that you fall down, hitting every single branch as you go and once you reach the bottom dovewing is a strike of lightning that knocks down the tree on top of you and bristlefrost is a snowstorm that randomly starts up burying your still alive body in snow
jayfeather is the searching dog that finds you and digs you out of the snow and rock is the hospital you are taken to after the fact
I don’t know I just find bristlefrost’s chapters so boring
I think I don’t like dovewing because I thought the original three had a good color scheme and dovewing being the same color as jayfeather just didn’t sit right with me
and also I really liked hollyleaf
And firestar is just a Gary Stu

I don't know man, not a big fan of Tyra and Landry's relationship. Feels like he was never a friend without the expectation of her liking him in return, and she kinda always goes to him when things are fucked up, which is not fair to him either. They have their moments, not gonna lie but here we are again on the will they won't they, and honestly I just wish they wouldn't.

honestly i hope the m9 series is just less…gross than tlovm. the jokes, the gore, it’s bleh. idk i never liked vm as much as m9 anyway because all the characters honestly feel like worse people which while it can be entertaining i’m just less likely to cheer for them. i feel like the m9 in comparison are a bit goofier and sweeter.

I made a separate post for this panel bc I have feelings™ about it
I feel that the MCU should have some explanation about how the Socerer Supreme is chosen
They are literally chosen by the old gods, Stephen was one of many, put through trials!
It’s not a popularity contest or who’s the strongest
I feel like it would have cleared up a lot of the Stephen vs Wong as Sorcerer Supreme debate in the MCU
Honestly I don’t think MCU Stephen was ready to be Sorcerer Supreme after DS1
Yes he held his own against Thanos but then looked happened after in No Way Home?
Blatant abuse of power, just bc he could, not to mention the moral implications of wiping the worlds memory without consent, just felt wrong and not very sorcerer supreme thing to do ( also where the hell was Wong during that time?!) ( comic and midnight suns Stephen would never 👀)
I will say I thinking being brought face to face with some of his variants was kind of a wake up call for him hopefully and he might be getting there, but I don’t think he SS material yet, maybe Clea can help put him on the right track, out boi is a mess 😉

me pretending episode 6 didn't end the way it did and instead jesse gave cassie a hug, told her everything will get sorted where she can obviously truly learn the consequences of her actions, better herself, AND GO HOME. ITS WHAT SHE DESERVES. watching romeo get a good end w a 'on his way to redemption' thing is weird cause he did soooo many worse things,, yet cassie deserves to rot in a pit apparently?? 💀 this has always confused me and will never make sense to me tbh,, like aiden got a chance. hadrian and mevia i mean they got what they deserved but at least they're together ig lol. cassie nah,, u can seperate her and winslow for the lols???

I really need people to understand that if lighter skinned POC talk about the way that Hollywood treats them and how much it fucked them up - that it doesn’t mean that they aren’t actually POC or that any time a studio casts them that the studio thinks of them as white. Oscar Isaac was convinced to shed his last name to “make it” - I was told the only reason I might have success is that I looked “ethnically ambiguous” and that my last name didn’t lock me in.  Because Hollywood is garbage.  I was also told I wasn’t “Latina” enough to be cast as a Latina.  Because I wasn’t a sexy bombshell of a stereotype.
That’s on Hollywood. It doesn’t mean that I’m not a Latina, that I haven’t lived every day of my life as a Mexican-American woman. It means OTHER people invalidate me or treat other brown people as interchangeable.
