Dearest Professor,

For consideration in the Frankie hair module of our PhD program, I must ask. I know people usually ask fuck/marry/slap (changing that last one 😆) about Pedro characters...but what about his hairstyles or looks?

I hope this makes sense. For example, for me (surprise surprise) I would marry the hairstyle from the recent Hollywood Reporter shoot... I haven't thought of the rest yet but I'm happy to answer it once I think it through.

Fuck: The hair from the Hollywood Reporter shoot. These spiky curls are the perfect length for his shorter haircuts. He also just looked so fucking incredible during this shoot and the Actors Roundtable event. 🫠 Glowing, broad-shouldered, engaging intently with his peers, and charming as usual.

Marry: The hair from the Hawaii photoshoot (GQ, 2018). These longer, slightly wild curls have been blessed by Hawaiian aloha and give him a wonderfully soft look. These are the curls that instantly spring (groan) to mind when I think of Frankie without his hat, and the curls you want to grab when you're making out with Frankie or he's proving to you why he's the pussy-eating king (refer to Seminar 1 of the Catfish Pond PhD Degree Program).

Slap: The Javi G curls. They're so pretty that they actually make me angry. I want to get my fingers into them so bad. All the blessings to Coco Ullrich for creating that look.

Niklaus Wirth

15.2.1934 - 1.1.2024

Niklaus Wirth war gebürtiger Schweizer, studierte Ingenieur-Wissenschaften und war auch als Informatiker tägig gewesen. Er entwarf die Programmiersprache "PL360", die 1968 auf dem "IBM System/360" implementiert wurde. Weiterhin beteiligte sich Wirth an der Weiterentwicklung und Verallgemeinerung der Sprache "Algol". Insbesondere schuf er in Zusammenarbeit mit Tony Hoare die Sprache "Algol W" und wirkte an der Entwicklung von "Algol 68" mit. Enttäuscht über die stetig zunehmende Komplexität der Entwürfe zu dieser Sprache definierte und implementierte er in den Jahren 1968 bis 1972 praktisch im Alleingang die Programmiersprache "Pascal".

Have I been MIA?

Yes very much so. Been catching up on reading done fics and trying to write. I’m trying to finish two particular fics this week. I didn’t quite to write a Halloween one or spooky one but maybe next year. 🤣

I’ve just been feeling tired and it feels like all my work days hit back to back so I just working and sleeping and reading.

The plan (very tentative) is to have the following:

1. Counting my statistics class (so boring 🥱)

2. Chapter 4 of my Dave York fic

3. Oberyn one shot

4. (Hopefully) Chapter 2 of Dieter

5. (A stretch) Erza has a voodoo shop? Why, because gumbo. 🫡

Silver lining: Maybe thinking about being a nursing professor down the road. 😀

Koshmar at black bridge

It is small text story. With choice. Choice is affecting the story.

Mystical story. About nightmares. Main hero is being hunted by the same nightmare every time. And visions of hell. Black bridge – it is a thing he can see in a full darkness all the time.

Videogame is made in console view. Text at the screen. And program reads the user`s choice. Game is about less than 5 minutes.

Basic Pascal pack - whole pack of games and programes, written with basic and pascal. It is retro. With each game and program there is a page at author`s website. There are aditional information, descriptions, pictures, arts.

i think its hilarious how much of a hold FORTRAN still has on coding today. like yeah some legacy systems are never updated cuz IT support is "unaffordable" or some shit but thats not what i mean.

a lot of interfaces and standardizations are based off having backwards compatibility, and were created when FORTRAN was aging out, so C and C++ were polite as fuck and said "yknow what we'll play by your rules for a lil"

so now C style languages are the standard for lower-level languages and FORTRAN and Pascal and BASIC and shit are dead but MPI still fucks everything up by pretending people still use it on old systems. like i know its just an interface but hell let me not pass by reference for once. c std lib? pass by reference. MPI? pass by reference. pthread library? pass by my middle finger on the way to your reference. FORTRAN is dead and buried but we still play by its rules because it couldnt fucking return a value. eat my entire ass please
