The Opossum King's Flail
Wrestling may be real, even when you're a man in a possum suit beating a pumpkin god, but weapons don't always have to be. While the cans are 100% real, I didn't want to risk swinging a branch around for this match.
This is a bit of pvc pipe heated and bent, with foam pipe insulation around it. Carve some grooves in it and hit with the heat gun to shrink and melt the foam, and you have a convincing enough looking branch. The paint is what really sells it though, as usual. In retrospect I definitely should have coated it with plastidip before the paint, but the handle *shouldn't* be taking too much impact itself.
I ran the sisal cord through the can openings and holes drilled in the bottom, then crushed them in place. I carefully bent and pressed all the sharpest and pointiest edges down, checking especially closely for any torn bits of aluminum. The cans hurt when you're hit with them, but since they are light they don't even break the skin. They look and sound pretty good, imo.

Another M6 Carnifex Update!✨️
Progress, progress, progress!
I can't actually stick this down yet so I have to store them somewhere safe for a while. I want to add the bulk to the handle before I add the detail layer, just to make sure that everything is just right.
I need some 5mm foam for the rest of the handle (and a few armour bits, like the belt) and a rotary tool to sand it into shape. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get those, but until then, I'll simply be tracing and cutting details from 2mm and trying not to lose them. 🥰

Remaking my paper-mache Uruk-Hai sword in wood! The size isn't the same due to a crack in the wood, I had to shorten the length (and...glue the sword tip back on after a cutting SNAFU)

Danny the Aggressive seamstress.
So I can see this as the justice league looking to hire both someone to help newcomers with costumes and also help fix up old costumes.
Batman finds out about Danny looking into Tailors and seamstresses. He decideds a retired superhero probably knows how costumes should be functional as well as comfortable.
I can see Danny as just an old mentor Esk figure for the younger age group.
Not many of the younger age group take him seriously until he beats up Darkseid with an L square ruler

I've been working on and off on this wooden sword for a while, I shaped it out of scrap wood with a small saw and some filing tools, did some woodcarving and pyrography, stained the wood, and found some faux leather to wrap the hilt. Love how it looks, I want to make a more complicated one in the future!
(I would consider taking commissions for this in the future but in the meantime I have a lot of learn, and may want to have my dad teach me to use his bandsaw for efficiency!)
