♡︎This is for all my selfshippers who are emotional!
Your F/Os understand that you show your feelings very openly and you express yourself more than others, but they will never judge you for it. They will never see you as someone who is "fragile", they understand you have flaws. You are allowed to express yourself to them. They'll listen to you, they'll comfort you, because they care.

what do you have to say about people who ship incest?
I’d prefer if they blocked & didn’t interact with me.

"ex-proshippers" and "recovered proshippers" are just people who were either never proshippers, or people who were bullied into being antis

these comments were under a post made by someone to remember their little sister passing away at a young age.
and just... what. the hell. what is wrong with antis.
I can't describe the feeling of disgust I got from reading the second comment. How can you even think this is an okay thing to say about someone you don't know?

if you worry about suddenly becoming a pedophile, abuser, zoophile, etc because of a damn pairing of two characters that wouldn't ever know you exist, you shouldn't ship stuff.

"yknow their siblings right?"
I acknowledge you perceive their relationship that way. However I'm happy to inform you that they are fictional characters and seeing as I have a firm grasp on the difference between fiction and reality, I do NOT give a fuck.

The idea of fiction being "Just as bad" as real harm towards a real person is so weird and just like.... A massive downplay to victims. It's really gross and weird to compare the trauma of a REAL person to a DRAWING of someone that ISN'T real that CAN'T feel it. I think antis forget sometimes that the REASON it's wrong irl is because it HURTS people. You can't hurt someone that doesn't fucking exist.
As a victim of online grooming, it is absolutely the most dehumanizing thing in the world when someone says that I shouldn't indulge in dark/comshipping because it's "harmful". Harmful to who? The cartoon character on the screen? Everyone has their own responses to their trauma, and I can understand if someone who experienced what I did wants to stay far away from ALL media resembling it. Because what makes THEM feel safe matters. That doesn't mean they can go harass someone who copes by INTERACTING with such media, or someone else do it on their behalf. If I respect you, I expect the same in return. The block button exists, use it.
Grouping ALL victims into one sensitive little bubble of all having the same reactions is not only wrong, but dehumanizing. And THEN comparing what happened to us to a CHARACTER, a DRAWNG, just makes it even worse.
Is an excuse for YOUR harassment ALL my trauma means to you?

everyone agrees that a lesbian that simps for fictional men for example wouldn't like those men irl, cause they're fictional men, two different things, doesn't make her "less of a lesbian"
so why, to these same people, doesn't the same apply to taboo fiction?

Ngl it rlly frustrates me that antis click on fics that are clearly tagged as noncon, incest, dubcon, etc etc just to make a hate comment. Instead of scrolling past it, they comment hateful stuff (and sometimes even death threats) under said fics. Do they have nothing else to do??? Like gen why are they like "Omgggg why did you make this!! Why did you write incest/noncon/age gap/etc etc" because the author wanted to??? "This triggered me!!" Well, that's not rlly the author's fault. You saw the tags, knowing that these things could potentially trigger you and yet you still clicked on it. The internet is not just for you. I'm sick of seeing antis writing hate comments/threats under these types of fics.
Also, this could rlly mess the author up. No normal person is gonna stay sane if they keep reciving hate/threats under their works.
This is partially why I'm scared to post noncon fics off of anon in certain fandoms (mostly in fandoms that are full of younger ppl).

I think it's genuinely concerning how sex-negative we, as a society, are becoming. (This post brought to you by a few tweets I saw)
Does no one else think it's genuinely worrying how if you even find a fictional character attractive, you're called a gooner, or a degenerate, or some other pejorative to indicate that being sexual in any way is gross and nasty and yucky? Why does art suddenly lack artistic value because it's sexual in nature? Why are we so obsessed with associating a core feature of the human condition with shame and guilt?
Even more concerning is that it isn't just some niche little group of people on the internet, it's rampant. Every nook and cranny of the internet has these people, ready and raring to call you names if you dare speak anything slightly not-safe-for-work.
Like the people on twitter openly calling trans women degenerates and freaks for having an incest/rape kink (I've seen this one A LOT), because how can you claim to be an ally, or lgbt-friendly, or a feminist, but get mad at a woman expressing her sexuality? Why does sexuality gross you out to the point you feel the need to demean people over it?
And where does it end? Are we going to start calling women who dress a little too revealing 'sluts' again? Are we going to ban sex scenes in movies? Start preaching abstinence, say sex outside of marriage is bad, that lust is immoral, and being gay is a sin?
I'm sure that a large part of the problem is that these people are generally children, and still in the "sex is gross" phase, but I know that's not the case with all of them. I'm just worried for the future, because all the people saying these things are just reinventing conservatism under the guise of progressivism, and are (intentionally or unintentionally, I'm not sure) causing more harm than good.
I know we talk about puritanism and stuff all the time, but in my opinion, it's gotten to a point even the actual puritans didn't get to.

ANTIS DNI, THIS POST IS NOT FOR YOU

I know that all DNIs are inherently flawed and pointless anyway, but what are some common criteria or addendums that make you doubly disregard them? (Besides the obvious...) I'll go first!
Fandom bullshit listed over things like "racist" or "homophobic"
You can just tell they're putting something on there because everyone else has it on theirs, but they have no idea what they're talking about
Acting entitled to know every follower's exact age, gender, sexuality, race, religion, and country of origin or risk being blocked
Calling fans of a particular media freaks/bigots/losers, followed by "current moots excluded!"
Overabundance of censoring that does nothing but make sure their talk of sensitive topics gets past every filter
"Basic DNI criteria"
"Etc"
