I see you have your requests open. Maybe something about reader getting majorly injured? Like car accident or something. And the boyfriend Eddie hearing about it?
Request by @mugloversonly 💌💞
Eddie found out about your accident in the middle of Hellfire. The club was knee deep in the current campaign, he has thrown himself into it since you had been gone for two days at a cheer competition.
He never expected that the first time he would fall in love (after many cynical years of believing it to be a load of bullshit) that it would be with someone from the dark side.
But you were different from Jason and the rest, Eddie fell for you instantly as you did for him. Six months later and he was still in a blissful state. He missed you like crazy and he couldn't wait to see you tomorrow when you were back from the competition.
Suddenly Dustin's walkie talkie crackles to life and he hears Steve Harrington's voice.
"Dustin, I just heard from Robin who's friends with Alice on the cheer team. Princess was in an accident" Eddie doesn't hear much after that. In fact his blood runs cold and he immediately jumps into action.
"Gentlemen and lady, he nods to Erica' We will have to reconvene another time" all he can think about is getting to you.
All he heard was the word accident and he was taken back to when he heard the news that his mom died. He feels as numb as he did at six years old when he realised his mom wasn't coming home.
His eyes blur and he wipes the tears away hastily. No. You would be fine this wasn't like that. He wishes he'd asked how you got injured but Eddie reacted before he could do so.
He drives to the hospital in blind panic and argues with the nurse on reception that confirms you arrived at the hospital half an hour ago.
The frustration is building. He just wants to see you and hold you. Before he can argue some more Chief Jim Hopper has his hand on Eddie's shoulder to calm him.
"It's okay son, she's fine. I'll take you to see her okay?" Eddie nods as relief seeps into his bones.
"What happened?" He demands and Jim explains that when you and some of your cheer friends went for a celebratory dinner after winning the competition, a reckless driver nearly drove into your path. You moved at the last second but fell on the pavement and broke your arm.
"I've already arrested the little punk" Hopper confirms before Eddie can think of making the dickhead driver suffer.
Hopper has to restrain Eddie the minute he sees the guy being led out of the ward he was on in handcuffs, there's not a scratch on him and Eddie feels his anger rise again.
Only the thought of seeing you keeps him calm.
As soon as he sees you he's at your side at once. You're fast asleep, arm in a sling and he feels a rush to protect you from anything that could ever hurt you. He never wants to see you lying on a hospital bed again, the thought physically pains him.
Gently he takes your hand and reaches down to kiss your forehead. This wakes you and you smile brightly even though you must be in pain.
"Eddie" he exhales in relief when your beautiful eyes focus on him. He's so happy that you're awake but he's still furious at the dickhead who put you in here in the first place.
He's not a violent guy but if he ever got his hands on the asshole, then there would be hell to pay.
"Princess, I was so worried" a moment passes between the two of you where you both cling to each other, soothed by each other's presence.
"I'm okay, my arm is broken and I have a few bruises but I'm fine, might need my handsome boyfriend to play doctor for a couple of weeks" you tease and he chuckles, he'd do anything for you.
"I'll be the best doctor you've ever seen sweetheart, might spoil my patient a little bit though" (well a lot)
He will make sure you're comfortable, loved and that you don't have to lift a finger, this whole situation could have been a whole lot worse and he's just grateful that his princess will be okay.
♥️♥️♥️

Is for me the fact Buck only cares about Eddie being late he did not care about the others and for me Eddie was jealous tbh
I think Eddie was supposed to be there to help set up, that's why Buck was upset he was late.
I'm not sure Eddie was jealous per se, but more of side eyeing Tommy and his reluctance to follow along with Buck's antics. Like my dude, you couldn't have least put on a jacket? Your flight suit?
But Eddie is never quite happy with Buck's love interest, friend or foe, because well... well we all know why. Hehehe.

eddie munson x little sister!reader
Tumblr media
I AM IGNORING VOL 2 BECAUSE I AM MENTALLY NOT OKAY WITH IT.
+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+
Since this is his 3rd time doing senior year, it means that you and he are in the same grade this year.
He is fine with that so he can protect you more but then he hates that you might get teased a little for it.
When he sees the popular girls messing with you, he doesn’t know what to do (because he is a respectful man and doesn’t hurt women in any way shape or form).
When he sees Chrissy in the woods, he asks her what he should do while they are talking. And she says she will try to talk to them.
And Eddie makes the decision to talk to you so he can really understand what’s going on.
You say it’s been going on for a while and you got used to it so it’s fine, which he was not fine with (because no one hurts his little sister).
He has to let it happen because he doesn’t know what else to do and if he tries to be weird you will just get made fun of more, but one day he sees them stick gum in your hair. And he gets so upset. Especially because he has gotten gum stuck in his hair and with those precious curls, it causes so much trouble.
He runs over and drags you away from the situation while the girls are teasing you for getting your brother to save you.
Eddie helps you get the gum out of your hair without ruining it, it just looks a little weird.
Eddie makes you stick with him, all day every day. Even walked you to your classes and try to get out of his classes early to get you. You guys have the same class or two.
Eddie makes you sit with him at lunch and one of his friends makes the worst decision and makes a joke about it.
When I say he stopped smiling that moment and threatened to hurt him, I mean it.
He doesn’t care what happens to himself, but anyone brings his sister into anything at all, some shit is going down.
He makes you go to the Hellfire meetings, but you don’t join them in it.
You sit in the corner and read the whole time.
And Eddie has no idea how you finish books so quickly. You might recommend some books to him and make him read a chapter or two every day.
He finds it annoying sometimes.
You guys do the homework together because you make him, and if you figure out he didn’t do it, you hide his guitar.
And it sets him off (his guitar is his baby), you make him do it and then you will give it back to him once all the homework is done and the next day it is turned in. You are one of the only reasons he is passing at the moment.
You help him with papers sometimes, and he doesn’t mind the help sometimes.
And Uncle Wayne didn’t give you a curfew, Eddie did.
He also made sure he always drove you; no one was allowed to pick you up.
Boys were terrified to date you because of the interrogations they heard Eddie gives each individual boy.
And he lets them know they are not good enough for you.
Eddie drives you to the dates and restates the rules he’s made every single time.
One of the times you didn’t go to one of the Hellfire meetings because you said you weren’t feeling well, you brought your boyfriend over.
And it ended earlier than usual cause he wanted to make sure you were fine, and he saw you cuddling with your boyfriend on the couch.
Oh, he got pissed.
He dragged your boyfriend off of you and made him sit outside while he talked to you.
That is one of the main reasons you have to go with Eddie to each Hellfire meeting.
He said no boys, till they’re men.
And he said that doesn’t happen till they are 20.

You can completely ignore this if it doesn’t spark joy, (& I skipped names to give you more freedom) but for the first sentence game:
“Please—just—just tell me where he is,” he begs, his hands held aloft as he takes a tentative step forward.
tw // implied domestic abuse
“Please— just— just tell me where he is,” he begs, his hands held aloft as he takes a tentative step forward.”
Eddie holds his ground, and shakes his head. It doesn’t matter how upset or apologetic he sounds. It doesn’t matter whether he thinks Buck is going to ghost him or if he’s scared that Buck might report what happened.
What matters is that the man in front of him crossed a line with his best friend, and Eddie will gladly stand between Buck and any form of threat.
“C’mon, man. Look, I- I know you’ve only known me for a few months, but you’ve seen who I really am. It was an accid—”
Eddie growls and steps forward, leaving his doorway to crowd into Dennis’ space.
“So help me God, if you say accident, we’re going to have an accident of our own.”
Dennis stumbles back a step in surprise.
“L-Look, I like the 118. I don’t want to get transferred just because Buck—”
Eddie scoffs. “You’re kidding, right? As of last night, the 118 doesn’t like you. You’re afraid to get transferred? You’ll be lucky to have a job with the LAFD after all of this.”
Eddie watches as his words sink in. Dennis’ fists clench at his sides.
“Well that slut was asking for it! If he wants to cry to his bestie and the whole damn station about me getting a little rough, l’ll just say it was consensual kinky shit.”
“You think you can play that off as some kind of choking kink?” Eddie growls, stepping forward again. “The head wound will really support that,” he snaps sarcastically.
Dennis pales. “What head wound?”
“Get the fuck off my property before I call the cops, asshole.”
Dennis’ eyes narrow.
“Just tell me, is he here? I’m his boyfriend, I have the right to know!”
Eddie shakes his head. “Ex-boyfriend, in case that wasn’t clear when you laid your hands on him. You don’t have the right to shit. If you ever see him again, look away because you lost the right to that. You lost the right to even think of him. Now go before I make you.”
↳ send me a sentence and i’ll write the next five! (or more)

a little 6x04 coda
-Spare parts-
"You're doing what?" Eddie looked right past him,
"I'm helping an old friend achieve his dream?" Buck cut up another bell pepper.
"Buck I are you hearing yourself? You're not just lending him money or a hand, you're giving him a part of yourself." Eddies knife scrapped against the cutting board, the pan hissing with hot oil.
"I know that, it's just I can help them! I can, I can make their life easier take that burden from them! So why shouldn't I?" They moved past each other Buck grabbing spice while Eddie prepared the pasta water.
"You know, they want me. They choose me." Buck said breaking the silence that had been pulled over them like a thick a blanket. "But they don't want you to stick around, you do understand that right?"
Buck sighed, his lungs
tightening around another breath, like it had been doing all week long.
"I know I talked with Hen, they just want me to be their donor not a dad. Still though, I feel bad for them." Buck tried breathing again, his chest refusing to let any air inside.
"And besides I still have time, to you know make my own family, I just want to help them out."
He turned away from Eddie, hiding his shaky hands, it's fine it happened once in a while was no big deal.
"Buck." Eddie was right behind him, the warmth of his body engulfing Buck with a sense of safety he hasn't felt before.
"I want you to know if you really do this, its not gonna be easy but I will be there for you every step of the way." Eddie grabbed his arm turning Buck around. "I got your back."

I'm spitting out the 2nd scene I keep seeing for my Steddie Vampire fic here you go enjoy
summary: Lucas and Dustin have hidden Eddie in an abandond barn but Steve doesn't think it's a good idea. He's still roped into watching over him one night, which is when they get a most unwelcome visitor.
warnings: attempt at being scary. angst? spoilers in the tags.
word count: 1539
»part 1«
Tumblr media
The chain tied around Eddie's wrists rattled when he moved. Scraped on the barn floor and cut into the old wood.
It had been Dustin who wanted the chain long. His reasoning was that it would make Eddie feel less restricted. It's not like he'd hurt them anyway; the chain was merely a precaution. It made sure he didn't wander off and maim another helpless animal.
The deer corpse had freaked everyone out. It's what had gathered them in the woods that night. It's why Nancy had felt justified to shoot Eddie. He was a monster.
Dustin and Lucas had found him. Injured. Scared? Dustin insisted he had been. They hid him in the abandoned barn. No one would look there. He'd be safe.
They had taken Steve to him after two days. The bullet had lodged into his shoulder and wouldn't come out. He scratched his skin, furious, and lashed out at the kids if they tried to touch him.
Steve hadn't wanted to help. A vampire was a monster. That thing wasn't Eddie. Not anymore. It had maimed animals and tried to maim him. Craved blood.
But Dustin had assured him he still was the same Eddie. They'd get him back. They just had to show him kindness. Keep him fed. But they couldn't do that with the bullet lodged into his shoulder.
Lucas hadn't seemed as convinced. Eddie hadn't spoken a single word yet. Only showing his teeth to snarl at them with black eyes.
But Steve had caved. The boys held Eddie down when he carved the bullet out with a pocketknife. Eddie hadn't been happy. Still, he hadn't hurt them. But if he understood that they were only trying to help, or was simply exhausted, the trio had split opinions on.
The rat population had dwindled after that. Eddie got to all of them. He showed his hand through the wall once to get one. Blood, dried and fresh, covered his lips whenever Dustin visited.
The task to go to the butcher for fresh blood had fallen upon Steve. The Hellfire members couldn't go because the club rep was already in danger. Once again, Steve caved. If Dustin refused to accept that Eddie was no longer the Eddie he once knew, Steve would humour him. Let him reach the conclusion on his own.
Dustin sat in front of Eddie when Steve walked into the barn. They were having one of their talks, which meant that Dustin talked, and Eddie listened. Steve wasn't so sure he listened but didn't feel like having that conversation again.
"Delivery for a blood sucking monster," Steve muttered, and Dustin stood up to glare at him.
"Don't say stuff like that! He can hear you."
Eddie's black eyes stuck to the jug in Steve's hands. His fingers twitched, as did the pointy ears hidden under his mess of a hair, when the scent of blood filled his nose. Fogged his brain.
"Don't think he cares. Give it to him. I'm not walking up to him when he looks like that!" Steve hissed, defending his position while reaching out the jug of blood to Dustin. He'd been pinned to the ground by Eddie already. Didn't need to relive it.
"He's just as scared of you as you are of him." Dustin took the jug. Opened it. Handed it to Eddie's outstretched hands.
Eddie pressed the jug to his lips and all but turned it upside down to chug as the blood dripped down his jaw and throat.
Steve pulled a face. "Man! Tell him to drink better! Do you know how expensive that was?" He turned his back on the scene. Stared at the haystack that used to be the home of rats before Eddie devoured the whole colony. "Blood all over his face..." He crossed his arms over his chest as a chill went through his body. "Nasty."
"Don't say things like that! He's sensitive."
"He's dead!"
Eddie put the empty jug away and sat down on the floor with his back against the wall. Scratched his mouth with the back of his palm.
"Ignore him, he's just being dumb," Dustin told him. He could see the corner of Eddie's lips twitch into what could have been a smile, but it was hard to tell. "See you tomorrow!" He turned around and walked a few steps to the door. Stopped when Steve followed. "No, you're staying here."
Steve stared at him. "Like hell I am."
"We've never given him fresh blood before, rat’s don’t count but what if he has a reaction? I can't stay, but..." He rummaged through his backpack. Pulled out a walkie-talkie and gave it to him. "Keep me updated."
Steve held the walkie-talkie in his hand. Watched him leave. Jumped at the sound of the chain rattling when Eddie moved again. Looked at him. "I'm staying for one hour, not like you can tell him anyways, why am I even talking out loud? You can't understand me." He sat down on the floor right where he stood. Refused to get any closer to Eddie.
Eddie's black eyes observed him, swept over him like a piece of meat. He tilted his head to the left.
"Hey! Man! Don't get any ideas!" Steve held his hand up and glared at him. As if that would stop him. "Stay over there!" he ordered. Stared him down, right into those black eyes.
"How's it going?" The walkie-talkie sounded with Dustin's voice.
"He wants to eat me." Steve told him.
The night continued like this. Whenever Steve thought he could leave, Dustin had a knack of knowing to call for him on the walkie. It annoyed him to no end. The only time he was thankful for it was when Dustin’s voice awoke him from a nap.
"Everything's fine. Nothing's new." In the faint light of his flashlight, he thought he saw Eddie's ear twitch as he pushed himself up on his knees and hands.
"Well, I think-"
The rest of Dustin's sentence was cut off when Eddie grabbed the walkie-talkie from Steve and crushed it with one hand. He tore the chains around his wrists that broke apart with ease. They fell to the floor with a loud clank.
Steve froze. Couldn't find his voice. Stumbled up on his feet to get away but was pushed back into one of the stalls. The hay stuck him through his clothes. The stench of decay and rot shot up through his nose. Made his stomach turn.
Eddie pressed his hand down on Steve's mouth. The flashlight behind them with the trashed walkie lit him up from behind. He looked around them, ears twitching, and bent down closer to Steve.
Steve felt his heart in his throat. Put his hands on Eddie's chest to push him off. But this time it was different. Eddie was still heavy, like moving a boulder, but he was warm. His hands stayed there, on Eddie's chest, because he didn't see teeth so he had no idea if Eddie planned to bite him again or just wanted to scare him.
Eddie came closer, so close he could be laying on top of Steve, and he would if he didn't fear crushing him. His heartbeat was too loud, but Eddie couldn't help that. Couldn't help him not to be afraid.
A clucking sounded through the barn as something called out. It dragged its' feet on the floor. Opened its' mouth. Hissed at the scent of blood in the air.
Eddie lowered himself so close that his chest rested on top of Steve's. Felt his heart skip a beat before resuming its' hammering. But he didn't move.
The stench of rot and decay grew stronger. When it let out a pitched scream from the stall next to them, Steve felt Eddie press their foreheads together. Opened his eyes to look at him.
Eddie's ears twitched at the scream. He shut his eyes but couldn't shut it out. The voices. He fought to stay with Steve. The scream echoed in his mind. Images flashed before his eyes. They were gathering. He had to go. Had to obey.
Steve watched in horror as Eddie's ears grew in size and his nose grew sharper. When he pushed himself up, Steve reached his hands out to his face. Tried to lock eyes with the black holes of emptiness. He wanted to tell him to stay but was too afraid to speak with that thing so nearby. So, he shook his head. Mouthed his name, for him to stay.
Eddie closed his eyes. Breathed in the scent of Steve's shampoo. Felt his warm skin on his face. Fought to stay there, with him, because he knew what would happen to him if he left. If.
A heavy weight crushed the flashlight behind them. Steve's world went pitch black. He opened his mouth wide to calm down his breathing. Slow in, slow out. Closed his eyes. Didn't dare to move a muscle.
Eddie lowered himself again. Put his hand in Steve's hair and gently brushed through it. Wanted to say something that could comfort him but knew he couldn't. Rested his head against Steve's in the hay. Stayed close until, finally, the creature left the barn.

Steve knows he falls in love too easily. Nancy told him, Robin too.
But falling in love with Eddie Munson is hard.
They're supposed to be friends after Vecna. They're supposed to be friends, but Steve can't get past what Eddie did in the Upside Down; how he put himself in a position to nearly die, how Dustin got hurt. It's not fair. He knows it's not, but it doesn't make the anger go away.
Eddie's part of the group now, though, and Steve won't leave him out, no matter how angry. They're all at movie nights, at pool parties, at Hellfire, at Corroded Coffin gigs. It's just that Steve and Eddie don't speak. And Steve is okay with it. If it's what it takes to make sure that they're all hanging out together, not talking to Eddie is a small thing. He's pretty sure Eddie doesn't mind. At least, he seems as uninterested in hanging out with Steve as Steve is with him.
It doesn't need to be anything more than that, and it isn't, not until Steve goes upstairs to get more sunscreen during one of the pool parties, and walks back downstairs to find Munson waiting for him in his kitchen.
"You need something?" He asks, unable to fully hide the way he jolts with surprise.
Eddie twists the rings on his fingers, something Steve's noticed he does whenever he's nervous. "You have a problem with me, Harrington?
"No, of course not," he answers too fast.
"C'mon, man. You can barely stand to be in the same room with me."
"That's not true! We're in one together right now."
Eddie rolls his eyes so hard that it has to hurt. "Don't do that. Don't pretend like you don't know what I mean. You can't stand to be alone with me for more than thirty seconds."
Steve splutters, searching for a plausible reason.
"Is it cause--" Eddie swallows, hand going back to cup his neck. "Is it cause you heard me tell Robin that I'm gay? Back at the hospital. Is it because--" he cuts himself off.
Something in Steve's chest clenches hard, warmth swooping dangerously in his stomach. "No," Steve says, means it. "I didn't hear. I didn't-- it has nothing to do with that. It's--that's cool. Thanks for--yeah, that's cool."
Eddie's smile is a brittle little thing. "Then, what else?" Eddie pulls a chunk of hair over his mouth. "I can't think of any other reason you'd hate me so much."
"I don't." And Steve hopes it's coming off as genuine. "I promise."
He can't help remember the camaraderie, the understanding, that started to grow between them in the Upside Down. The "don't cha, big boy?" of it all. They could be friends. They should be.
They shouldn't get into it. Not right here, not right now when the kids' splashes and excited screams filter through the sliding door.
"You're a shit liar, Harrington."
"Ed--I'm not--"
"You know what? Don't bother. I'll just--" He jolts in the direction of the front door.
"Don't be stupid, Munson."
"God, I can't believe I didn't see it before. You just fucking loathe me."
"I do not. Grow up."
"Oh, yeah? Then what's your problem?"
"There isn't--"
"Stop lying!"
"You didn't fucking think!" He shouts. Loud enough that the noise outside cuts off. "You pulled that shit in the Upside Down and you almost died! Dustin got hurt!"
Eddie blinks his big brown eyes in stunned surprise.
"I told you, I said, 'dont try to be cute or be a hero or something.' And you know what you said? Do you?"
Eddie won't look at him now. "I had to make a choice, Steve."
"It was the wrong one!"
"I would do it all again. No matter what you say. I would do it to draw the bats away. To protect Dustin."
"But you didn't."
"There was no other way to stop them, Steve! They would've gotten through, into Hawkins."
"It doesn't matter."
"You weren't there! You can't tell me--"
"Yes, I can! I know."
"You don't! You think--"
"I almost lost you!" He screams. "You nearly died in my arms, Eddie. And for what?"
Falling in love with Eddie wasn't easy. It was blood and near death; it was weeks in a cold hospital room while Eddie existed in a drug-induced twilight state; it was agonizing convalescence and physical therapy and changing bandages; it was Eddie leading dnd sessions with bright eyes and contagious enthusiasm, herding the kids to the arcade and video store, theatrically serving snacks at movie night; it was festering, senseless anger at the near loss of something.
Eddie's lips tremble. "Steve, I--"
"It doesn't matter." He turns away to slide a hand down his face in an effort to wipe away the emotion. "You're fine and we're--it doesn't matter."
"I'm sorry," he whispers. "Steve, I'm sorry. I wanted--I thought it would help. I thought--"
And Steve has to admit, he does, the whole terrible contradiction of it all. "I know," he whispers back. "I would've--I know."
"I thought I was protecting Dustin. I thought I was buying you guys time with Vecna." Eddie's voice breaks. "I didn't--I--" He squeezes his eyes shut.
In the quiet of the kitchen, they gravitate to one another, foreheads resting together.
"I should have been there, Ed. I shouldn't have left you two alone. You almost died, and I--"
"Sweetheart, I'm right here. We're right here."
They don't kiss, but they're close enough that their mouths brush with each breath they take.
"Don't do that, again." Steve clenches his fists into Eddie's cutoff t-shirt. "Promise you won't ever--"
"I promise, Stevie. I promise. I'll be by your side until the very end, whatever it is."

Steve’s drunk and sad at a party and doom-swiping through Tinder when he comes across this profile:
Eddie, 21
guitarist, dm, dipshit, six time ass eating world champ 💪 🌎 my friends call me Eds, but you can call me Daddy
“What the fuck?” Steve laughs to himself. First time he’s really laughed all night, actually; this party kinda blows.
He slinks down further into the couch, takes another sip of hunch punch and tilts his phone so no one sees him swiping right on this shit. It’s obnoxious. Like, objectively. He’s just…
Bored.
And curious. Surely that bio has never actually worked for the guy, right?
Steve swipes.
It’s a match.
He snorts to himself again, sends a message before he can overthink it.
Steve: Hey, Eds. That’s kind of a bold move, isn’t it?
Message sent, he goes to back out of the app; doesn’t really expect an answer this close to midnight on a Saturday night — only losers use Tinder at this time of night, and what the fuck does that make him? — but then Eddie starts typing.
Eddie: hey, cutie :) what is?
Steve: Uhh…
Jesus. Why is he blushing? He’s not the one who wrote a wildly aggressive hookup bio. Guy might as well have sharpied DTF on his forehead.
Steve: Your bio? 🫣
Eddie: huh?
Eddie: i mean, dnd can get a little spicy on occasion but i’d hardly call it scandalous
Steve: What’s that?
Is it a sex thing? It’s probably a sex thing.
Eddie: okay, what?
Steve: What? I’m so confused lol
Eddie must be, too, because it takes him a few seconds to answer, and when he does he just says:
Eddie: hold pls
Steve holds. Takes a big gulp of his drink and winces; pretty much all vodka at the bottom.
Eddie is typing and then he isn’t, then he is again and then he’s not, and Steve frowns at his empty cup and wonders if he’s already fucked up the one interesting thing that’s happened to him all night.
Finally, finally, a new message pops up.
Eddie: ………god. DAMN it, Gareth 😤😤😤😤

Eddie didn't know what to do anymore.
He woke up to the same thing every day.
Self-isolation.
Ever since he came back from the upside down, he couldn't bare leaving his trailer to see people who hated him. At first, he thought he would be about to do that when he got back.
He still had you when he was thinking that.
Now he was alone. He still had Dustin, and Steve. But not the one person who was with him through it all.
He still tried to learn and go to school. For you. He wanted to graduate and let your death not be in vain. He strides to leave this town and do something great for you. He doesn’t hang out with Hellfire anymore. He is by himself.
He missed his little sister. And he couldn't live with knowing that she died in his arms.
You left Eddie and Dustin so you could do it yourself. Make 'em proud.
You tried fighting them.
Tried is the key word.
Because with all the trying, it still came to an end.
It didn't do anything for you.
And that's when you decided to give up.
To stop trying.
And that's what you did.
All that was on your mind was 'Eddie.'
‘If I die before he finds me, will he be traumatized by seeing his little sister's torn up body?’
Luckily you didn't get to experience that part. Because Eddie found you.
He always did. Even when you tried to hide.
When you tried to run.
He did everything possible for you. You were already pushing it for going to the Upside Down with him.
But now you couldn’t even focus, because your older brother was sobbing uncontrollably next to you.
It was unheard of that Eddie really cried. Sure, he had been upset. But you had never seen tears fully going down his face with his permission. Usually if he did, it would be a tiny sob and only a few would slip.
“Why would you do this?” It broke your heart to hear your brother like this. “You shouldn’t have left! We were supposed to stick together.” It was killing you more than the actual blood loss. Knowing you were the reason behind your brother’s distress. “You can’t leave. Please. I need you. I can’t handle it if you go! I’ll be alone. By myself. Even when I was alone, I always had you. Don’t make it be truly alone. Please.” Now you wished you had died before he saw you. Because it just made it harder to leave Eddie than anything.
“Eds,” your voice was raspy from all the screaming, “please don’t let this phase you. I need you to be the best you can ever be.”
“No, not without you!”
“Yes, without me. You always talked about graduating. And I was never a part of that process. You are doing it all by yourself. Do it for me please.” Your last words before life drifted out of your body are what brought Eddie to pieces.
“This is your year Eddie, so please, make the most of it.”

Robin has a love-hate relationship with Steve-and-Eddie. Love, because those are her best friends and her best friends are in love with each other and they never leave her out of anything. Hate, because sometimes she wishes they would because she keeps accidentally third-wheeling herself.
She doesn't hate it that much though, if she's honest. It's just fun to complain, especially because it riles the both of them up.
But right now, she's being quiet so she can witness one of her secretly-favorite Steve-and-Eddie rituals—of which there are many, but this one is silly and endearing.
It starts like this:
The waitress sets down their drinks, lemonade for Robin, coca-cola for Steve, and a cherry soda for Eddie.
"Don't you dare," Eddie says, even as Steve reaches for Eddie's drink, slipping his straw in next to Eddie's and slurping obnoxiously. Eddie doesn't even pretend to stop him anymore. "Unbelievable."
"I just want to taste it!"
"You could just get a whole glass of it! All for yourself!!"
"It's too sweet, I don't want a whole glass."
"What, so you think you can just help yourself to mine?"
Steve's grin is far too smug, even for Robin, even when Steve slides it to her so she can take a sip. Steve is right, it is really too sweet and she wrinkles her nose, but it's worth it for the offended gasp Eddie makes when she slides it back to him.
The diner is their favorite, because everyone who works there has given up on understanding their weird dynamic: Robin and Steve squished into on side of the booth while Eddie's spread out on the other, Robin making gagging noises whenever Steve brushes against her, even though they never sit in any other configuration. The staff has long since stopped asking which of them was her boyfriend, and that's perfect for her.
Besides, she knows that under the table, Steve and Eddie have their ankles locked together like the disgusting love-sick dorks that they are.
The Steve-and-Eddie show continues when their meals come out. Chicken fingers and fries for Steve because he's an actual child, and breakfast for dinner for Eddie because he likes to be contrary. And then the real performance begins.
They "fight" over the ketchup bottle, which really means that Eddie picks it up and Steve snatches it out of his hands—only for Steve to spread it over Eddie's scrambled eggs (gross) for him before he adds a disgusting amount to his own basket.
Eddie makes a game of stealing Steve's fries when he thinks he isn't looking (Steve is, he's tallying each one up in his head, Robin knows this because she's doing it too), and when he finally "catches" Eddie in the act, he steals Eddie's last piece of bacon—the one that's sat untouched for the last five minutes for this very reason.
Then, Eddie's "forcing" Steve to try his grits, like he does every time, and game eats a spoonful of it, every time, and then complains at length how much he hates it (and he actually does hate it, the texture is just not for him, Robin knows because it's the same for her too).
And then they do the worst, most disgusting thing ever: they split the pancake in half. Without fail. Without argument. Every time.
Robin, slurping on her strawberry milk shake that she will NEVER share with anyone ever, thinks that stupid pancake is like the symbol of their love or something. Sh's sure if they weren't in public, they'd be feeding it to each other.
"What?" They say it in unison, and Robin hates when they do that to her.
(Eddie complains about it right back at her, because she and Steve do the same thing to him all the time. They should blame Steve, since he's the common denominator, but he just looks so pleased about them both that they can't rag on him for it, so Eddie remains Robin's sworn enemy and vice versa.)
"What what?" she sneers at them, voice quiet. "You two are disgusting, it's like you're making out right in front of me right now."
"What are you, homophobic?" Eddie hisses back, just as quiet. "I'm in love with your best friend, Buckley. I'm making out with him in front of you for the rest of your life."
"Ugh! I hate you so much."
"Right back at you."
And then they start kicking at each other beneath the table, no doubt catching Steve's ankles in the crossfire. He doesn't tell them to stop though, and Robin can see that pleased, sappy smile on his stupid face out of the corner of her eye, so she lands an exceptionally harsh blow to Eddie's shin in retaliation for making her best friend so happy. He digs his heel into her toes in return.
