JULY 11
I have been crowdfunding for two full months now, and have managed to raise $4100 total! That is absolutely amazing, and never could have happened without the support of everyone on Tumblr. Thank you so much to everyone continuing to share my post, and an especially big thank you to those who donated. I have just under $3,000 in direct debt currently, and I have until December 1 to find a new place to live, regardless of if I have been placed by BC Housing into housing whose rent is geared to my disability income. Vancouver rents are about $2,000/month for 1 bedroom, I don't have a prayer of keeping a roof over my head without donations.
So that's where I am now, to be clear, the money not spent directly on debt was spent on food, monthly bills, and transit. Even so, I ended up needing to take out payday loans to get through this month, and am out of funds for now.
I have more appointments and transit costs than ever right now, and with time running out to clear my debts before I'm on my own I'm really feeling the strain. There is much more information on the gofundme page, I also, of course, have my original post, which I am retiring because it seems to have lost traction now.
I'd appreciate anything anyone has to offer, from $1-$5 on paypal, to $5+ on gofundme, literally ANYTHING helps. I feel abandoned and alone and I don't know what to do other than beg the public for help. Please.

I have so much fucking internalized ableism and I KNOW I do because every single god damn time my disabilities actually dare to disable me, I get so unreasonably angry. Like what the fuck do you mean I can’t walk today? I’m not ✨THAT✨ kind of disabled. So yeah can’t walk today and I have ample time to examine how much bias I have actually *not* unlearned haha oops I suck 💀

I want to try something new, for my birthday I want to raise 2,000, once the fundraiser ends, I pledge to donate 50% of whatever I raised to help out other fellow disabled people I know on social media who are struggling right now to survive in legislated poverty, 10% will go to a charitable cause and the rest will go to me but only for necessities like food, clothing, etc. If you think this is a good idea, please donate if you can, thank you 🙏
PLEASE SHARE WIDELY

I think the "don't wear political patches on your back" advice I've seen everywhere lately can be really harmful and take attention away from things that can actually put you in danger. We keep us safe!

I was really struggling today with working to do advocacy while also trying to navigate issues with my landlords and trying to figure out how to get a human rights case started and how to have enough time to see that through all with so many things asking energy and money of me that I don't have.
So to decompress and collect myself to get rolling I did a podcast episode. In it I talk not just about the pain and exhaustion of pushing through to get ready for the second fire inspection, but individual and collective ableism creating a situation that sends the message, in no uncertain terms, whether overt or covert, my country wants me dead. But I also talk about how for most people it's really a lack of understanding and totally unconscious. And how each person working to understand means we begin to address that larger conscious or unconscious collective ableism infecting bureaucracies, medicine, journalism, politics and the larger society
Also I just realized I passed my 44th anniversary of being post viral epstein-barr😟. Sadly still no improvements to supports or research yet. But I haven't finished fighting and with your help I will continue to as long as I can!
