Found a really nice pose reference for a five-person selfie and immediately knew what I had to do.

I didn't expect much going in, though. It was my first time drawing Ravi and Shinju (and Delta!) and my first time colouring a drawing of Ennis. And instead of getting a cute sketch of my WIP's protagonists, I got one of the best and most ambitious finished pieces I've ever drawn.

I think it speaks a lot to how much my skill as an artist has improved the past couple of years that I'm able to realise something with so much detail and so many funky bits of perspective in only like, 3-4 days. Three years ago this would've taken me two weeks to finish and it wouldn't have looked half as good, either. Suffice to say I'm really proud of this illustration, both on its own and for what it represents for me as an artist.

It... might be time for me to admit I'm kinda good at this, huh?

On Sept. 24, hundreds of demonstrators shut down Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. The march was in response to the over 500 people killed in one day in Lebanon by the U.S.-backed and supplied Israel. The Palestinian Youth Movement initiated the protest at the Westwood Federal Building. Many Palestinian and progressive organizations endorsed and mobilized for the rush hour action.

WIP Wednesday Thursday

Can we please ignore the fact i took two days to respond? In my defense I was stuck in a loop listening to Sabrina Carpenter's album, Epic Musical and Chappell Roan. AND finishing my fanfic's first chapter to finally post it on ao3.

Said that, thank you for the tag @lancedoncrimsonwings! This isn't something canon in my lore, it's just a cute bunny plot that came to me when I was learning to draw dragons. 'Cause latins myths, dragons are related to fire, and in my lore, the Ashfolk have bodies with a high body temperature, which can become even hotter depending on their emotions or state of health. Well, enjoy!

There was nothing special that day, it was just the basic, boring even, he dared to say. Lancelot was sitting, putting his shirt back on after finishing his daily check to see if any wounds were infected. Nothing special. Except that the girl examining him this time wasn't Polly, but a freckled red-haired girl who reached his chin. Pym was her name.

The poor girl was so scared that she didn't even speak.

He would lie down as soon as she left, probably just lie down and stare at the ceiling until he dozed off, even though he was sleepless. The redhead was about to walk out the door and Lancelot was about to lie down when they both heard high-pitched screams outside, and through the gap, Lancelot managed to catch a glimpse of something fast and strangely agile running clumsily between the people's feet, and Merlin, Nimue and Morgana trying to catch the thing. The three of them failed.

It didn't take long for the thing to sneak past everyone's feet and reach the tent they were in, and pass through the entire floor scaring every soul in that place out of their bodies. At a glance, the man thinks that what was running was a really large lizard or an iguana. He was almost right.

The monk takes his feet off the floor and Pym climbs onto the table and hides behind him. It seems that the unknown thing scared her more than he did. Unfortunately, none of this stopped the giant lizard from climbing up the table and climbing up Lancelot's leg. Both of them froze. The creature froze on Lancelot's leg, looking into his eyes, and Lancelot froze as soon as he felt the thing crawling up his leg.

The room fell silent. The monk realizes that what has wrapped itself around his leg is actually a baby dragon, and the dragon discovers that the man's body is actually very warm, and they both look eye to eye. Paralyzed.

The dragon had pearly white scales, large curious violet eyes, and sparkling wings. The claws weren't big enough to really hurt yet, but they were like little blunt needles hanging on his leg. It was… cute. As if a piece of the moon had given it life.

The little thing starts moving again, slowly and cautiously. Climbing up Lancelot's leg until he climbed his torso through his shirt. The curious little dragon pulls the collar of Lancelot's shirt and tries to see what's inside, and falls in his shirt. Lancelot let out a snort of laughter and lifted his shirt for the dragon come out of there. That's when Merlin, Nimue and Morgana came in, and found the dragon climbing up the monk's arm and rubbing itself affectionately against him. Purring and rubbing its little head against the curve of the junction of his nose and eye, and Lancelot was… Smiling?!

This was something new, but not unwelcome. Everyone stands still and open-mouthed at the interaction, but no one interferes. The dragon makes itself comfortable in Lancelot's warm, cozy lap, still purring and rubbing against Lancelot's hand.

Lancelot for his part, warms his body a little more to welcome the presence of the little dragon, and continues to smile at the corners of his lips and caress the little animal.

Looks like he won't need to nap today after all.

The implication here is that kids are starving en masse because there is not enough food in the Gaza Strip.

They’re hoping that the photo is disturbing enough that you don’t ask the obvious question:

If the issue is a shortage of food: why is the mother perfectly healthy looking while her child starves?

The answer is that there’s absolutely something medically wrong with the child in the picture.

There are many causes of pediatric malabsorption, some of which are easier to treat than others.

🎮 VIDEO GAME CONTROLLER — what are three of your oc's favorite hobbies?

Shinju has really taken to photograpy since she started living on the surface. She has an instant camera that she takes almost everywhere with her, and she keeps all of her favourite picture of her and her friends pinned up on the cork board in her dorm room.

Brooks and Ennis both know a thing or two about DIYing clothes. Ennis can kind of use a sewing machine, though they've never made anything more complicated than a set of arm warmers from scratch, but Brooks does everything by hand. He's sewn patches onto bags and jackets, dyed shirts with bleach and turned a bunch of weird junk into necklaces.

Melinda tried crochet once. She made herself one of these things:

She hated every second of it. She gave her hook and leftover yarn to someone she can't stand so they could suffer instead.

🎻 VIOLIN — does your oc play any instruments? what is their skill level (beginner/intermediate/advanced/virtuoso/etc)?

The only other OC in the group who plays an instrument besides Ravi is Brooks. He has an acoustic guitar. He's probably intermediate level with it; he can play songs really well (as long as he can find tabs for them, he does NOT know how to read sheet music) but he wouldn't even know where to start with writing his own music.

He got the guitar from a thrift store, it's not great but it's at least not a nylon string. It already had a couple stickers on it when he bought it, so now he's slowly but surely papering the whole thing with more of them.

💯 HUNDRED POINTS SYMBOL — share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.

I completely forgot to mention in his intro that Isaac is adopted! He has two foster siblings, who have also been trained by Father George to hunt "monsters". They're a little slayer family.

He's had several specialist eye doctors do examinations on him, but none of them can figure out why his eyes are red. The prevailing theory is some sort of weird variation of ocular albinism, but Isaac's vision has always been 20/20 so even that seems unlikely.

He's pretty outdoorsy. Isaac loves hiking, camping & canoeing. He's been known to fish with his bare hands. He still has his old boy scouts sash and would've liked to be a scout leader or camp counsellor if he wasn't always so busy with the whole slayer gig.

3.5: Isaac has wanted a dirt bike since he was a kid, but has never been able to get one.

Pym predominantly eats fruit and bugs, so whichever is easiest for them to find will be their breakfast on any given day.

at the Washington DC pro-Palestine protest (NOT Hands Off) today they unraveled a list of all Palestinians murdered in the last year and a half. Brian Becker and Eugene Puryear spoke and tied absolutely everything we are going through right now back to the devastating effects that imperialism and capitalism have on all of us.

this is what should be happening. there needs to be a unifying message and a cause to rally behind that involves actually changing the way things exist today, not restoring this country back to the ways that lead us here to begin with. this is not purity testing. this is the type of anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist movement that is necessary in the current moment and anything else is a waste of precious time.
