My Favourite Quirk Ideas I’ve Come Up With for OCs

Solidify

The user has the ability to solidify the water in the area to a pink material than can be formed into any shape, meaning it can be used as a shield, armour, a weapon, etc. quirk obviously cannot be used if there is no water around. It also doesn’t wear off - the water stays in the solidified form.

Namesake

By repeating a person’s name, the user is able to freeze, speed up, or slow down that person’s movement. It only works for as long as the user is able to continuously repeat their name. As soon as they stop saying it, the effect ends.

Amplify

The user has the ability to amplify the sound of anything they touch with all five fingers. They cannot amplify their own voice, but they can amplify musical instruments that they play, including ones that use breath. They can also amplify other people’s voice. My oc used this on my friend’s oc who is related to Present Mic.

Sleep Paralysis Demon

A sentient quirk. The user has an 8’0 demon with enhanced strength that follows it everywhere. The demon’s strength depends on how much sleep the user gets - more sleep = weaker demon, but if the user hasn’t slept in ages, the demon becomes angry and attacks the user. My oc’s demon is named Shy.

Ghost

Another sentient quirk, a being that only the user can see and hear. The being can interact with physical objects and therefore can communicate with other people by writing. If the user doesn’t eat enough, the being disappears.

Hot-Blooded

The user has a resistance to heat and is sensitive to cold temperatures. They cannot get burned. Anything they touch with the palms of their hands sets alight

String

The user shoots golden strings that vary in length from their knuckles. They have electrical properties, so can be used to electrocute people, but my oc mainly uses them as a capture weapon instead.

Hysteria

Based on the game Alice: Madness Returns, when the user is experiencing a lot of physical pain, they get a power boost. Their eyes go red and their skin goes completely white, and they get enhanced strength and can’t feel pain. They cannot die while hysteria is active, but it doesn’t heal wounds, so when it deactivated, if fatal wounds are left untreated, the user will still die.

Mutant

Gives the user a highly poisonous body that can kill someone if touched for too long.

Looking for some Mha Oc quirk help

I have a handful of quirk ideas here, but I feel like they might be a little bland; the names might not be great, and just stuff like that. I just think they could probably use some improvements, but I'm not quite sure what to do to make them better. Aaand, that's why I'm here. Just hoping anyone will give quirk name suggestions/better descriptions/hero name suggestions/anything like that :]

Deadly Venom - the user’s blood contains a substance that will cause excruciating pain to anyone who makes contact with it. While this works with simple skin to skin contact, direct insertion into the body of the victim is most effective.

Below Zero - The user is able to create liquid nitrogen that can be released from their body. The user can also internally create the substance to allow their breath to freeze.

Teleport - The user of Teleport is granted the ability to teleport within a certain radius of them self. If they are touching another person, that person will be teleported with them. If Teleport is used too much, the user will endure drastic nausea and severe nose bleeds.

Black Ooze - The user creates a dark goopy substance that collects together and anthropomorphizes itself into its own creature once it's gotten to a certain mass. Creating the monster takes a large amount of energy from the user.

Puppet Master - By controlling strands of their hair and poking them into the middle back of another person, they can make them their human puppet. They can control the puppet as long as their hair is still poked into their back. Puppet Master only allows you to control a certain amount of puppets at a time, based on the user's ability to focus on all of the puppets, and while the hair will not pull out from the user's head, it can still be cut, burned, or damaged by any outside source to cancel the control.

Burning Shock - The user can shoot out an electric shock that has the traits of electricity, but moves like fire. It is a very quick current and will 'pop' at the end and actually start a fire. The user can slightly control where the electricity will move and when it will set off, but it is very difficult and can often get out of hand.

✨Truth or Dare✨

Type: Emetter

Description: When the user asks their opponent “Truth or Dare?”, and the opponent responds, they are forced to do whatever the user tells them to do.

Drawbacks: Has a limit for 3 truths and 3 Dares each day.

Air Force: this quirk gives its user the ability to control and harden the air around them. The user is able to move the air in front of and around their fist to strengthen a punch or behind themself to soften a fall. The user can also control the air under their own or someone else’s feet to float but only for five minutes at most. The downsides to this quirk are, the quirk can only be used continuously for five minutes and can be used again after two minutes, the user can only control up to six feet of air at a time any more and it becomes extremely difficult to handle and keep in the same shape.

Matcher: The user can match people with whoever they think, but if the user doesn't think of anyone within 5 seconds, the person is in love with the user until they are rejected or accepted.

Beauty: The user is beautiful to the point where anyone or thing around them would do anything for the user. This however, can cause trust issues due to not knowing if someone actually loves them for them.

Fertility: The user can grant people fertility (a baby or pregnancy). However they can only use this 6 times a day

Love Zap: The user can say 'Love' (or anything else you want) to zap anyone who is within a 5 mile radius.

Self Love: The user can activate this quirk and instantly make anyone feel better about themselves.

I have a oc who's quirk is kinda close to 'Love Zap' she saids 'Lover' and the horns she has zaps someone. Anyway, if you need more ideas feel free to send another ask! Thank you!

Yuki-Onna

Mutant(?)

Description: The user has pure white skin and long black hair. They are constantly cold to the touch, but they’re immune to all frigid temperatures. They can create storms of snow and ice, and can transform into a cloud of ice. With extra quirk training, they can control the weather to make snowstorms.

Weaknesses: Heat and being melted.

The Quirk user is extremely good at art. All they have to do is look at what the want to draw and then draw! The Quirk user can get hand pain due to how long they draw

Paper Manipulation

Emitter

Allows the user to manipulate and freely control paper around them. The user cannot create paper using their Quirk, only manipulate it.

Hey! Cab you give me some drawback ideas for someone with a light quirk? Maybe they can manipulate and solidify light, but I really can’t think of any drawbacks of it :(

Im actually on a small hiatus but its only drawbacks and im in a good mood so

it honestly depends on the extent but here are some!

MINORS

more weak ones that can be added next to the bigger ones

-bad eyesight

-due light not only them but everyone around (ally or not) gets blinded

-maybe a fear of darkness?

MAJORS

-temporary and or permanent blindness

-only being able to use quirk in a light (to add even more backlash can make it something like ‘only under natural light’)

-Heatstroke/Heat Exhaustion

-since the user can materialize light the opposite happens to them in overusage? basically becoming like nonexistent for a while

-the materialization lasts for a limited time and/or the objects made from it are lighter (no pun intended) meaning they cause less damage

so yeah those are the ones i could come up with, let me know if you liked them or if you’d like me to add more!

Cigarette

Type: Emmiter

Description: When the user smokes, they can manipulate the smoke to attack enemies.

The smoke can also be manipulated to have certain qualities such as sleep smoke, poison smoke, or just a smoke that can knock someone out cold.

Drawbacks: Cigarette addiction (Obviously), constant coughing, and a small possibility of getting lung cancer.

Black Horns: this quirk gives its user two black horns that they can change the size of.

Redo

Black horns: this quirk gives its user two black horns that they have the ability to alter the size of. These horns are not very heavy but are quite sharp and can seriously injure someone. The downsides of this quirk are, if horns are kept large for too long it can cause the user a headache that gets worse the longer they’re kept big.
