Explosive touch: this quirk gives its user the ability to make anything they touch with all five fingers explosive. When this quirk is used a visible orange line begins to spread across the object, wherever the line passed is now highly explosive and if fire is near or is it tapped twice or bumped it will explode. The quirk does not work on liquids however it does work on all solids including animals and humans. The user however is immune to their own quirk. When the quirk is used the affect will transfer to everything touching the originally touched object in a mile radius, meaning that if the user were to touch the floor with all five finger the quirk should spread to everything in a mile radius and essentially create a huge bomb destroying the entire area and everyone in it, luckily the line spreads semi slowly so you have time to run. The downsides of this quirk are, the user cannot willingly turn off the quirk only quirk cuffs or erasure can turn of the quirk, however that does not cancel any current affects it only prevents future ones until the quirk is no longer erased, once an item is touch with all five fingers there is no way to stop the quirk, when the quirk is overused the users hands ache and the user feels exhausted, plus there’s a high likelihood that the explosions from the quirk could have injured the user.

My Favourite Quirk Ideas I’ve Come Up With for OCs

Solidify

The user has the ability to solidify the water in the area to a pink material than can be formed into any shape, meaning it can be used as a shield, armour, a weapon, etc. quirk obviously cannot be used if there is no water around. It also doesn’t wear off - the water stays in the solidified form.

Namesake

By repeating a person’s name, the user is able to freeze, speed up, or slow down that person’s movement. It only works for as long as the user is able to continuously repeat their name. As soon as they stop saying it, the effect ends.

Amplify

The user has the ability to amplify the sound of anything they touch with all five fingers. They cannot amplify their own voice, but they can amplify musical instruments that they play, including ones that use breath. They can also amplify other people’s voice. My oc used this on my friend’s oc who is related to Present Mic.

Sleep Paralysis Demon

A sentient quirk. The user has an 8’0 demon with enhanced strength that follows it everywhere. The demon’s strength depends on how much sleep the user gets - more sleep = weaker demon, but if the user hasn’t slept in ages, the demon becomes angry and attacks the user. My oc’s demon is named Shy.

Ghost

Another sentient quirk, a being that only the user can see and hear. The being can interact with physical objects and therefore can communicate with other people by writing. If the user doesn’t eat enough, the being disappears.

Hot-Blooded

The user has a resistance to heat and is sensitive to cold temperatures. They cannot get burned. Anything they touch with the palms of their hands sets alight

String

The user shoots golden strings that vary in length from their knuckles. They have electrical properties, so can be used to electrocute people, but my oc mainly uses them as a capture weapon instead.

Hysteria

Based on the game Alice: Madness Returns, when the user is experiencing a lot of physical pain, they get a power boost. Their eyes go red and their skin goes completely white, and they get enhanced strength and can’t feel pain. They cannot die while hysteria is active, but it doesn’t heal wounds, so when it deactivated, if fatal wounds are left untreated, the user will still die.

Emitter

Grants the user psychokinetic control over their surroundings, but only in the form of a spiral. The user can control the size of their spirals, as well as the speed at which they turn.

back in 2022, maybe 2021, i ran a quirk help blog and mainly answered requests, i would write at least 3 per post. i cant remember my url and i fear i may have deactivated the blog in its entireity, but the name on it was something akin to "afo's greatest enemy" if that helps. if anyone can find any posts from this blog that would be a major help, thank you!!

Yuki-Onna

Mutant(?)

Description: The user has pure white skin and long black hair. They are constantly cold to the touch, but they’re immune to all frigid temperatures. They can create storms of snow and ice, and can transform into a cloud of ice. With extra quirk training, they can control the weather to make snowstorms.

Weaknesses: Heat and being melted.

if playing in Japanese isn't an option, then unfortunately I think English translations are still pretty difficult to find...I know there's some floating around YouTube and various blog sites for the first couple of main story chapters, plus a handful of card stories, and I think that's about it. :( I have heard there's a fan discord with rough translations/summaries(?) of most of the main story + events, but I'm not sure about the details on that?

I think it's definitely worth checking out if you can though! come join us all in agreement about who the best character is and why it's Leon

Arrow: this quirk gives its user the ability to become a flying arrow. When the user becomes an arrow they can freely fly in any direction they wish, however the longer they fly the more tired they become. The user as an arrow is able to pierce through skin with ease and thin layers of metal with slight difficulty, however the user is unable to pierce through concrete or thick layers of metal. The user is able to see and hear in arrow form. The downsides of this quirk are, when the user is in arrow form they cannot speak, the user can only fly for roughly one minute at a time before having to become human again and take at least a two to three minute break, if the user is damaged in any way as an arrow they will automatically turn human again and be injured in some similar way to how they were damaged as an arrow, when the quirk is overused the user becomes tired and fairly weak.

Sparrow: this quirk gives its user the ability to become a sparrow at will. When the user is a sparrow they still have the ability to hear, see, think, and speak as they normally would. The user can also speak to and understand other birds when they are using their quirk. If the user is injured when in sparrow form they will automatically turn human again and be injured the same way as they were when they were a bird. The downsides of this quirk are, the user can only stay in bird form for an hour at a time before needing to take a thirty minute break otherwise they would suffer from minor quirk overuse and exhaustion, when the quirk is overused the user becomes tired and they have a sore throat along with the possibility of sore arms if they were often flying when in bird form.

SO! I’ve been pondering the idea of an oc who has a support hero type quirk thats semi tied to her composure/emotions. I NEED HELP BADDD.. i’m not sure what kind of quirk would be fitting for her personality but also like actually useful…. I was thinking something that could be pink related or just generally cutesy (tysm for your time ^^)

Hey sorry it took me a week to answer I’ve been camping and haven’t had access to the internet for a while :)

Feeling Pink: when the user feels certain emotions they can help others in different ways. When the user is happy they can boost others moods causing them to be more determined and focused. When the user is sad they can cause their enemies to feel weakened and scared. When the user is angry they can cause their allies to become stronger and more durable. When they’re scared they can cause their allies to become more aware of their surroundings so they can better anticipate any attacks. Any other more minor emotions either do nothing or the same thing as whichever emotion they’re most similar to. When the quirk is in use the user and whoever is being affected with have a pink aura surrounding them. The downsides of this quirk are, the user cannot affect themself, the user is unable to force emotions but they are more emotional than most.

Hope this is what you wanted! I’m pretty happy with it especially since I didn’t really know what to do at first. :)

Still Thinkin of Yokai Amity

Y'know, where all of Amity have pretty much become yokai creatures. I might be weak for Japanese mythology and cryptids. Or really all mythology and cryptids, but Japan has a lot and it's near never-ending meaning it's fun to continue discovering and learning stuff. But anyway!

Amity Park, practically empty of humans now. Not even following the usual rule that things do thanks to how malleable ecto is. Along with how a form usually depends on ones own thoughts, feelings, and Core.

But anyway, Amity? Kind of having some trouble now that, again, no one there counts as human. Visibly so. Which, yeah the GIW is sort of incompetent, but it's also kind of... not?

Let them reiterate, individually or even in pairs, they can easily deal with the Guys in White. Heck, even a small battalion is easy enough- but they have... a lot of people. And the backing of the government. So.

Plan B? Escape. Where to?

Well, see, they've all had to interact more with the Realms, not to mention that well, the entire town was pulled into it at one point. Which was how everyone got that last bit of ecto to push the transformations from contaminated to Liminal.

Which means? Time to escape through the Realms to somewhere, maybe even somewhen else. But they also can't stay in the Realms indefinitely. Because even with their own Cores, most of them are still Living.

But they also can't agree on a World to settle down in, not with how they're still wary of reactions. So what's a city to do?

Why, pop into multiple worlds of course. A wandering city, the entrance shifting through gates and alleys and doorways that appears through time and space.

Sometimes another haunted being finds their way through, sometimes they visit one dimension more than another- sometimes they leave one behind forever. But tales still spread of the wandering city that flickers through existence.
