I saw someone complain about how apparently raine was created only to be eda's love interest and op was like hoho ofc the only nb character is a love interest with no character development and like.
I'm sorry I am physically unable to see this as a problem. raine is good representation, like they just are. not ever queer character needs to be incredibly important to the plot to be good rep? also it's not like raine is a side character that was thrown in in the back for cheap rep, they have an important role for eda's developpment and theyre literally the head of the rebellion against belos (aside from eda who rebels against everything). and THEY'RE NOT THE ONLY NON BINARY CHARACTER EITHER?? masha I think is their name is nb too (and they are a very very side character but we already have raine it's not like they're the only nb character again) and the collector uses he/they pronouns im pretty sure. good lord.
I want to bang my head against a wall. how do you Live.
it reminds me of when I saw someone saying TOH is shit queer representation and racist (??? somehow) because it doesn't do enough? bro? the main character is a neurodivergent OPENLY bisexual black latina girl. what do you want MORE. she's in a relationship with her lesbian girlfriend, the world girlfriend was said, trey kiss and hold hand. They put so much diversity in this show it got fucking canceled.

raining, pouring, falling
✧ written for 'shower' ✧ word count: 399 ✧ rated: T ✧ cw: none ✧ tags: deity!steve, thunderstorms ✧ @steddiemicrofic (~ ̄▽ ̄)~✧
When the thunder starts to roll in, Eddie does his best not to panic.
He races down the trail, eyes shooting up to the dark clouds every other minute.
Just five minutes ago, it was clear, sunny skies. Now, he's running through a light drizzle and has to hope it stays light, or someone's gonna get suspicious.
Gasping at the sudden bite of a cool wind, Eddie decides fuck it and skids down the dirt and mud. The trail winds too long and he doesn't have enough patience for it. Hell, he doesn't think Steve has much patience left either, judging by how violently the sky is booming, lightning crackling across it like -
Not the time, Munson, head on the ground, the clouds have enough going on.
Finally, Eddie arrives at the lonely barn, gasping when he sees a man, dressed in blues and golds, standing outside, head tilted up towards the rain as it pours down.
"Steve!"
Slowly, his face drifts down and he opens his eyes just to look straight at Eddie, their glow dissipating as they soften.
"Eddie," Steve greets, his tongue still doing something to the name that had Eddie shivering from more than the cold. "You came back."
"'Course I did," Eddie breathes out. "What're you doing out here, Steve? Somethin' happen?"
Steve tilts his head, eyes fluttering shut as he smiles. "The green needs some rain today. 'S too dry."
Ignoring that Steve was drowning the entire town with a fucking thunderstorm, complete with lightning and the heaviest shower Hawkins has seen since the '60s - well, Eddie can't really ignore it.
"You're not supposed to be out here, Steve," Eddie says gently, gulping when Steve turns sharp, electric eyes on him. "You're still recovering, right?"
From making a giant crater outside the run-down barn that Uncle Wayne still owns, all those weeks ago.
Steve's eyes soften and he gives that gentle smile again. "'S okay, this doesn't take a lot. I'll lighten it up though, okay?"
Eddie sighs, and resolves to himself that he's gonna have to fake shock at the random storm the same level as everyone else, once he gets back.
"Come on," Steve giggles as he pulls Eddie towards the stables, where he's sure the pure black stallion that never strays far from Steve must be waiting. "Let's go for a ride."
Eddie shakes his head with a fond smile.

hmmm.
this is no shade to tallulah. She goin through shit ok we love our poultry queen in this household.
but.
Sunny asks if Tallulah doesn’t like her. And asks why. They were never even given much of a chance to speak to her. Why doesn’t Tallulah like her?
and everybody says about the same thing. Tallulah’s going through some stuff, Tallulah is just wary, Tallulah just needs some time to warm up, give her some time.
Give her some time.
and. Those are accurate, fine statements to say. But. But if you ask Bad, or Bagi, or Phil (god, if you ask Phil) what Sunny is like, I would bet my life’s savings that they would summarize them as one of the following:
Spoiled
Entitled
Snobby
Now if I asked how much time those people had spent with Sunny, where would you estimate? A few minutes, maybe closer to a half hour for some?
people keep telling Sunny to give Tallulah time. And that’s fair. That is a fair thing to ask.
but not one single islander other than Tubbo has given her time before slapping a label on her behaviours and calling it a day.
she has gone from having nothing to having so much in just a few days. They are learning how to be part of a family, learning how to talk to people. She is mischievous, and passionate, and shy. They like flowers and steak and potatoes and they dream of having fancy lavish tea parties with their pa and his friends. She is a drama queen and she likes cats and she hides behind her pa whenever she meets someone new. They are incredibly perceptive, and fiercely protective, and sarcastic, and they are scared.
she is spoiled. They do act entitled. She can be snobby sometimes.
but they are also sweet. She is also kind. They hear people speak down to their pa and they jump to reassure him when people question his parenting. She sees a cat that’s been abandoned and asks to rescue it. They give out diamonds like they’re made of em, pays for people to be around them. She doesn’t want to be alone again. She doesn’t know how else to make sure that doesn’t happen.
There is so much more to Sunny than what people assume of them. And yes, other people deserve a grace period to warm up to a new person before a negative relationship forms.
but Sunny deserves to be given time too. Time to be known, and learned, and loved.
and if nobody has given her that
can you blame them for being apprehensive about giving it to others?

The solar flare meant Mechi was doing boring stuff like mining, so every time the cooldown for The Monolith or Ms Clarabelle (our sightstealer) was up, he sprinted to do that instead. I don't think he likes manual labour lmao
Some wild people came onto the map, which Mechi was not thrilled about because one of them was a taukai xenotype (cancer people, I think), and he thought they were hella ugly. A bit rude, but Mechi hates everybody anyway, so it's understandable.
The grass is quite literally greener on this side of the fence, boomalope (the boomalope is now named Butter, and he is a very good boomalope)
More silver is always nice, and foggy rain isn't so bad.
We did not offer help to either of The Accurates.
