Rivals: Hmm, this is a really interesting comparison! I wouldn't have immediately classified Doppo as a "act first, think later" character, but he definitely has those moments. The music is bouncy but not immediately doing it for me. I think it's one of those songs I'll grow to like quickly, though.

White and Black: (not to be confused with Doppo's Black or White, naturally) SHADY BOYS, LET'S GOOOOOO! I love this match-up. I think they are the kind of people to have a meet-cute in which they committed identity fraud and/or credit card fraud on one another. Anyway, I love the style here. Team Rocket-ass mfers. I agree with the top YT comment at the time of writing, which is, "This is the most fanfic-y thing Hypmic has ever officially released, and I am here for it." I also love that neither of them makes one single effort to hide their scumminess. Truly a duo for the ages.

Thanks for Having Us! Now Look Alive! Osaka Big Up: (or whatever people are calling the Sasara/Roshou one) I adore the fact that Sasara introduces them as a three-person group ft. Rei, but Rei just happens to be doing something else (stealing Juuto's identity, most like) and thus it's a two-person act today. Sasara and Roshou's comedy/speaking dynamic is much more relaxed and natural feeling than it was in their first appearance in Ah, Osaka Dreamin' Night, which is a nice reflection of the current state of their friendship status. Music is chill. I'd like to hear more of it before forming more opinions. Their singing voices sound good with this older, slower style of song.

The Demons' Flowers: I appreciate how the MV style departs from usual Hypmic MV to mimic the MVs for this kind of music. Very JRPG-esque. The lyrics strike me as a little generic for music projects, which is atypical for Hypmic, but it's definitely appropriate for Juushi.

Get busy: I really like this match-up; their high energy works together well here, as does their commitment to working together with the homies to kick absolute ass. I'm not sure KR fully understands the connotation of the English title they've chosen; they're probably going for more of a "Take it easy...but take it!" vibe.

Viva la liberty: While the music itself isn't doing much for me yet, I like this take on how both Saburou and Ramuda have grown throughout the story while still acting in very similar ways to their act 1 selves. An unusual match-up, but I can dig it.

What Lies Beyond the Dreaming: Wow, I really like this. Like Scenario Liar, it almost feels confessional in the sense of how it creates a closed sense of solidarity with the listener (you're the only one I can trust, let me tell you my story for your ears only, etc.). In that case, it's being spoken to his brother, I suppose? Would love to hear the full song.

Closer: I like Hitoya's singing a lot in this one. The darker lyrics and tone suit them both quite well, and I wonder if this points to Jakurai and Hitoya finally talking things out, including Jakurai's experiences in the war, in act 3. Or perhaps that's simply wishful thinking.

My Life: Positivity: Aside from the obvious enjoyment of Hifumi wrangling the rest of the cast into being his enthusiastic background singers, I really like how this song is both bright and bubbly at surface level but says a lot of deeper things about Hifumi's character, like how he's willing to open himself up to being hurt again so long as he has the protection of his friends and loved ones. I don't think it's the kind of thing I'd listen to, but I am looking forward to seeing the full thing.

Move Your Body Til You Die!: Roger that, sir. o7 Very glad to see that Riou's solos are as silly as ever. I think this is my favorite so far in terms of music. It is most definitely my favorite in terms of music videos.

Will-o'-the-Wisp: I really, really, REALLY like the lyrics and how much growth they show for Samatoki. It's nice how you can tell just musically how much he's healed and mellowed out since the start of the series.

HIPHOPPIA: This is my actual favorite musically, and while I understand and appreciate the thematic point of having so many styles of music on this album, I'm personally a bit sad there isn't more of the classic hip-hop sound. Lot of interesting imagery in the lyrics.

Conclusion: Move Your Body Til You Die! is a work of art.

-But at the same time it can be pretty hard when someone gets too close to you or chats with you for so long, making you all giggly.

-"Ahh..! Only I can make you laugh like that, you know..!" - Ramuda always furrows his brows with pouty lips, acting like he's really mad. - "I'm the one who's painting the sweetest smile on your face..!"

-Especially when you two walk in Shibuya streets. You have a cute little date with him, with your sweet Ramuda, then why do these stupid jerks keep bugging you every time he walks away for a moment?!

-Just like right now: he noticed a girl in the crowd with a pretty good fashion outfit, excuse himself for just a second to ask if she wouldn't mind to be his model.. And after a few minutes as you were waiting for your boyfriend near the vending machine for drinks, two guys got closer.

-"Hey, are you free..?" - one of them asked with a smirk, getting closer than you consider as a comfortable level.

-"You look so cute in this, hehe.." - another man laughs, leaning on the vending machine.

-You always get a little bit confused in such situations.. After Ramuda starts checking your wardrobe and gives you his special limited (a unique copy, just for you~) outfits, more people begin to pay attention to your persona. It was nice, but sometimes it was so awkward..

-"Of course she looks cute..! Cause her dear sweet boyfriend designed this dress just for her..!" - Ramuda appeared out of nowhere, hugging you from the back with his casual cheerful smile. Well, at least you decided that he's smiling, due to his happy childish voice.

-But both men for some reason shrug a little, after looking at the face of your boyfriend, and walk away quickly, as do many other people who try to flirt with you.

-But every time you turn around to see Ramuda, his face is cute and adorable as always, no threatening mad gazes or anything..

-"Uaa! I can't even leave you for a second..!" - he mumbled and hugged your arms, leaning on your shoulder. - "Someone is always trying to talk with you..!"

-"Aren't you doing the same with your onesans..?" - you giggle a little bit, taking his arm in your.

-"It's absolutely different..! They're just models for me to dress up! They're models..!" - Ramuda scoffs and squeezes your hand a little bit. - "I bet these men did not see you as a model, huh!"

-He always was a really clingy type of boyfriend, but after every wave of jealousy he gets even more touchy, hugging and kissing you in front of everyone in this street/ cafe/ etc.

-"Just promise you would be only my little princess, okay..? I don't like to share my precious porcelain doll..♡"

-Due to his short temper, of course he easily gets jealous too..!

-Samatoki's really caring about his closest people, but his overprotectiveness applies only to you and his sister as you two are the most important in the whole world for him.

-So he doesn't really like when you talk with other guys, even if it's just friends. Well, but you still can talk with Jyuto or Rio, as these two never will arouse your boyfriend's suspicions.

-Even opposite - if you said you will go on a little walk with Rio then Samatoki doesn't mind, knowing that his friend will solve all unwanted problems.

-But when you go on a date together, he is always trying to be as close as possible, big hand wrapped around your waist as he leads you inside a nightclub. Despite all these possessions, Samatoki loves to spoil you with restaurants and clubs and show off what a beautiful girlfriend he has. Yes, he's a little braggy, but how can he not? In his eyes you're literally a goddess.

-And he's your guardian, always ready to scare away all the jerks who keep flirting with you. Seriously, Samatoki just gets for a second to the bar to order some cocktails for you two, and there's already some creep trying to ask for your number.

-"You just really gorgeous, baby.." - he can hear a strange man whisper, as he's trying to sit next to you. - "How can such a beautiful girl sitting here all alone?"

-It was neither the first nor the last time you see these creepy kind of men, so you just scoff and look at your boyfriend, who was already quickly walking to your table with red glowing eyes.

-"Well, maybe because she was waiting for her husband?!" - the harsh husky voice of Samatoki makes this moron jump in his place and turn around, just to see the second-in-command of a big Yakuza family looking at him with a threading gaze.

-Needless to say that this man fades away in seconds, leaving Samatoki in his berserk rage and you laugh with tears in your eyes.

-"Really? Husband?" - you giggle when he sits down with you, arms quickly wraps around your body in protective mode, fingers nervously stroking your hand.

-"..Ugh, i just got too carried away.." - he mumbled with a slight pink on his cheeks, voice quickly changed to a soft and gentle one. - "Now come on, sit closer.. I want to kiss you so bad right now, we should let everyone see that you're only mine.. And I'm only yours, of course.. ♡"

-This one.. Oh, it's hard.

-Gentaro can be so jealous sometimes, but you can never tell for sure. Even if someone is actually getting on his nerves by talking too sweetly with you, his face so calm and relaxed as he just tease you a little.

-Only sometimes you can tell that his mood gets worse, only when his little jokes and lies turn into a more mocking tone. It's really slight changes but after a few months in a relationship with him you start to notice these little quiet tantrums of jealousy.

-"Darling, you should know that the moment you accept my feelings, you will fall under the magic rule: no cheating, or you will turn into worm.." - with a disappointed sigh your boyfriend looks at you, acting like you already kissed someone else or maybe even worse.

-Despite him just teasing you about this, in his soul he gets more and more protective. You get used to Gentaro not being that touchy so every time he wants to hug your waist or hold your hand in public (to show that you are taken, of course) he distracts you with his fairy tales.

-And maybe you will never realize just how possessive your mysterious writer can be, before one incident, when you two were having a small date in the library. For a moment Gentaro steps away, talking with one of the workers about his new book that he would probably announce here, in the library, during hours of Literature Club.

-You walk away a little to another shield and suddenly meet one of your male friends. Well, why not have a little talk with him, as you are waiting for your boyfriend?

-But despite Gentaro being busy with a set timetable for this little event, he clearly sees what you just did. He has a phenomenal peripheral vision and sometimes watches you when neither you nor the person he talks to didn't even realize that.

-"You totally should watch it..! I'm sure you would like it.." - cheerful voice of your friend echoing in Gentaro's ears as he slowly gets closer, without any sound.

-"Mm? So your little friend was recommending this new film..?" - Gentaro suddenly interrupts your chit chat and looks with a small cunning smile at the guy who was talking with you. - "How bad.. I hear that anyone who would watch this film gets cursed. After a few weeks they suddenly get deaf and dumb.. And can't enjoy their little talks with friends.."

-Gaze so soft and whole face so chill and playful, but there's some kind of pressure that keeps getting heavier with every second as your friend gets a little bit confused. He just laughs awkwardly and waves you goodbye, still feeling this uneasy feeling in his chest from the mysterious strange look from your boyfriend.

-"Didn't I warn you before?" - Gentaro clicks his tongue and takes your hand in his. - "You're punished and also under the curse now. To get healed you should give me three kisses. And if you try to pull your arm away even for a second, the number increases to ten times. Understand, princess?♡"

oh, he definitely acts super duper excited and stoked, probably shamelessly teases you as well

i mean, ramuda of course knows the date (besides that it was his birthday as well). it’s valentine’s day! there’s only one thing your chocolates could mean, even if they were only obligatory

as much as a front he puts up, which does include him teasing you about the chocolates, i’m sure ramuda would be touched. it’s a sweet gesture, especially to someone like him, who isn’t even human in the first place

his heart beats irregularly at the thought: a malfunction. they’re palpitations, and ramuda isn’t entirely fond of it and how strange they feel. but still, he doesn’t completely hate them. they’re…nice, to an extent

and he loves loves loves sweets, so the chocolates are obviously to his taste. they’re sweet and melty, just the way he liked them

you may not know it, but the chocolates are definitely something ramuda holds dear. he doesn’t feel entirely purposeless, i suppose

gentaro

he’s a mess inside, for sure

externally, this man puts up an act and probably re-enacts an entire soliloquy or something when you gift him the chocolates. he likes teasing you after all — it’s much too fun

but, i can see gentaro lose his composure internally. i mean, he wasn’t entirely expecting chocolates on valentine’s, so they come as a surprise

he’ll admit it — he got a little flustered. it was cute, how you thought of him, and i’m almost certain he keeps the chocolate box as a keepsake (the chocolates themselves were great too, or maybe that was his tinted senses talking)

he’ll probably have to confess or something soon. or he hopes you do instead. either way, gentaro doesn’t think that these feelings were entirely lies

he, uh, doesn’t think much of it. not in the moment, at least

dice breaks out into a large grin, the brightest you possibly have seen, when you give him the chocolates; it’s adorable, actually, and dice is incessantly thanking you

devours the entire thing right away, saying how good the chocolates were. they were his absolute favorite! more so if you made them yourself. they were the tastiest thing he’s had all week

it doesn’t hit him until much much later that it was, well, valentine’s day and your chocolates surely meant something (and even then, one of his teammates probably had to point it out to him)

and it surely makes his heart flutter! he can’t help but grin, to love all those feelings that have piled up. he feels full to bursting, but it’s how he likes it

i’m sure he gets tons of chocolates each year, probably at the host club. but it definitely does still feel different when you give him one as well

of course, if he’s in host mode, he pulls his sweet talk and flirts. it’s a cute gesture, he says, and even kisses your hand. if he’s not, or when he gets out of host mode, hifumi has a large, bright grin

mm, he can’t hold it in. the adrenaline courses throughout, on a dopamine high. the way his heart flutters probably isn’t all too good, but it certainly feels great. it’s almost like a sugar rush with how energetic he gets

he feels good, and the chocolate tastes good. hifumi’s satisfied, especially since it was you. it’s definitely a moment he will cherish close to his heart

he shouldn’t be too surprised i mean, but he still is when it comes to you

doppo does assume it’s obligatory, especially since that’s what all the coworkers were giving to them in the office that day. he’s gotten his fair share of obligatory chocolate, of course; but still, yours has him feeling some type of way

he’s flustered and all over the place honestly. he does freak out a bit, thanking you endlessly and saying you shouldn’t have gone out of your way. but he still feels too good inside

doppo isn’t entirely sure what he feels towards you (was it a crush? he didn’t have time for those..), but for some reason, he can’t stop thinking about the entire gesture. he keeps staring back at the chocolate, feeling too warm each time

his heart beats feel rejuvenated, more lively, with the way it skips a beat. he can’t help his small smile. and despite how muddled his mind felt, doppo couldn’t help but feel at ease

salaryman sasara: absolutely adored by his colleagues and is just about to get a second promotion since he entered the company three months ago

comedian kuko: taking inspo from the traditional aspect of his original profession, he probably does that rakugo style of comedy with the sitting and the props

teacher rei: loved by his students for his lightness, but well known for being a bit scary..and pop quizzes. no one knows him outside of school and he def has a side job

conman jyuto: just doing the same damn thing he's been doing as a cop lol

monk hitoya: HUH....this is the one i've had the most trouble with...he doesn't have the damn pompadour anymore and he's not greedy

vocalist dice: uhm instead of visual kei he would do something closer to the style he usually raps in. a lot of penis party music. struggling to get popular

lawyer ichiro: like matt murdock. only taking cases for those who are really innocent, unlike hitoya who would take the big money cases (and the ones he thought really needed it like kuko and jyushi) and therefore not being R I C H but feeling fulfilled

Hi I have no idea how I missed this in my inbox and I have no idea how long its been here so I am so sorry for that but absolutely!! The characters are by far my favorite part of hypnosis mci because of how layred they are

Samatoki. This isn't a hard desision for first, I love him because he's not perfect. He is far from a functional human being and its the best thing ever to pick apart his brain and what enviormental conditions cause him to do something. Also he's a good big brother with a little sister so... <3 from me

This is a really hard decision because the rest fluxuates a lot. Right now I'd have to say Jiro becuase he tries so hard and is just such a goofy character and I have a lot of fun writing with him. Also minor/major gender envy

Ichiro. He's basic but really cool. Honestly, he's a thirst trap I have fallen into XD Also minor/major gender envy and I look up to him as a big brother role model for me and my little sister

Sasara. I love the outwardly funny but actually depressed character, and I also kin Sasara in a lot of ways (down to wearing ugly suits just because I want to) And I really want to give him a hug.

Jyuto. He's so fabulous and homosexual

Kuukou. I love and adore Kuukou's crazy personality and the vulgarity is hilarious, not many points for actions but they give me a chance to research Zen Buhdism and they're fabulous, so.

Hifumi and Doppo. There is no Hifumi without his Doppo and there is no Doppo without his Hifumi. They care for each other and need each other in such a wholesome way it makes my heart so happy.

Yotsutsuji. Such a minor character but the care and love for Jakurai is adorable.

Jakurai. So graceful and selfless, also good Hitoya's wife/lh

Nemu. So queen, we stan

Riou. As a character he's okay but I LOVE Yuuki Byrnes so extra points for that

Saburo. He's cute

Dice. He's okay.

Jyushi. He's annoying when in new person mode but cute when not

Hitoya. He's okay.

Rosho. He's okay.

Gentaro. He's okay.

Rei. I get that he's not 100% a terrible person, but there are a lot of things that he does that just makes me ugh. Aside from that, I honestly don't find him very funny. Just all around not for me.

What is the most important time of the year? Well, depending on who you ask it might depend to be honest. For Ann it had always been spending time with their family yet that was not really an option any longer. Their father had been thrown out by their mother and their mother had thrown them out later as well. So the first day of the year had to be spent differently. They had been wondering how though during the last week of the year, thinking about it ever so deeply… 

That was until they had received an invitation from Ramuda, who may have noticed their little problem just by looking at them. 

“Hey Ann–Chan, what are you thinking about?”

“Eh? Uhm… Nothing special. Just… Uhm… Well… I haven’t spent New Year’s day without my family. So… I was wondering… How—”

“Oh? That? Why not come with us and visit a shrine on that day?”

“A shrine visit?” Ah, right, they have heard of the tradition yet never had a chance to try it. Their parents were not native Japanese and had never heard of it before. A shrine visit, the first one of the year… What was it called again? Hatsumode? They never expected Ramuda to–

“Yeah! Gentaro invited Dice and me! I bet he won’t mind if you came along too~!”

“Y… You sure? I think if he only invited you two, then it’s something only Fling Posse should—”

“No way! I’m sure he won’t mind! I’ll tell him that you will come with us too! And he can’t do a thing about this!” The last part he said with the utmost confidence. In fact, he even puffed his chest a little as he got up from the couch, hands on his hips. Probably one of the proudest stances Ramuda could have taken and they had ever seen from him. He was more than certain about this. That or he just wanted Ann to tag along and would not take ‘no’ as an answer in any way. In any case, they ended up agreeing yet it left them in a panic once returning home.

Hatsumode… So this was very important, wasn’t it? One could not take this lightly. The first shrine visit of the year, they had to prepare. After all, how embarrassing was it to admit that Ann themself had lived in Japan for years yet had never participated in Hatsumode properly? They didn’t want to get laughed at or teased about it in any way. Plus, it was a special occasion! So they could not show up in their usual clothing, right!? Right! That was an absolute no go! Who knows what the guys would end up wearing, Gentaro especially… Given the traditional attire he wore already everyday. Except Dice maybe? Then again, they were not exactly sure… Anyway, if they took it lightly they would not be able to show their face! So they had to carefully think about it! First shrine visit… A very special shrine visit…

There was this kimono they had. Sure, it was a few years old yet they had not grown since then. Besides, they still had it thanks to having been able to save up for it some time ago. They were not big on fashion but when it came to some Japanese fashion, they adored it. To the point they loved wearing it. In fact, they had a few yukatas as well they always wore to festivals here and there. And a kimono was of course in their possession! Even if it was from their days when they were still pretending to be someone they were not but… It was the best they had. A proper kimono can be expensive and they couldn’t afford it at this point in time. But maybe for next year! Yes, surely for next year!

The main color of said kimono was a greenish color. Nothing too bright but nothing too dark either. It fit Ann just right. It had no complicated pattern either, some dark colored flowers around the chest area and the legs. The waistband they would need as well was a plain black. It was nothing fancy of course yet they liked it, even now. They even had a fitting hair accessory, something they barely wore. It was not a hat, of course not, but a long hair pin in the shape of cherry blossoms. Of course it had also been colored green, fitting for their own kimono. And in a way they had been excited, being finally able to wear it properly. They never really had a chance before but now… They were glad that they had bought it! This was the perfect outfit! 

Well, or so they had thought.. Because…

The moment they had arrived at the designated meeting spot they were met with perhaps the biggest shocker they could manage. It was not something they had expected, to say the least. Well, maybe from one of them but all three… The trio had been staring at them, slightly confused. They even tilted their heads the moment they had seen Ann in this getup in particular. Was it so wrong to wear their kimono on such an occasion!? They may as well use it, right!? Right!? That was the thought process at the very least. And yet, they only got those head tilts… Those ever so dreading head tilts, asking them the following:

“Ann–Chan, you didn’t have to be that serious about it.” Ramuda had pointed out. To their surprise he had not shown up in some special, festive getup but was rather casual about this. He had been in his usual wear all along! Alright, maybe he did not have time to prepare or something! He was usually busy! So that was fair enough. 

But Gentaro… He only had a slight grin on his face, trying to cover up his smile a little with one of his wide sleeves in fact. It was as if he was at the brink of chuckling, him even shivering a little from the near laughter. “That Ann–San… Would take a New Year’s tradition that seriously…” He only said, almost whispered yet it was loud enough for everyone to hear. It wasn't hidden at all! He was doing a horrible job at it!

As for Dice… He had been speechless this entire time, only staring in somewhat of a disbelief. “Ma would compliment it… I guess… Makes me feel guilty to not show up in fancy clothing or somethin’.” He only let out, still staring in disbelief. They had no idea what this meant yet he had been looking, to say the least. Just as much as the other two were. The three had been looking at them in utter disbelief.

Ann had only looked at all three of them, noticing the redness which had built up on their face. They had been feeling warmer around their face, noticing just how embarrassing this was. They looked like a tryhard compared to them all! They had showed up in everyday clothing and here they were, in their kimono! Guh… Were they doing it wrong? If so then… “Was that… Not something I was supposed to do?” They had asked ever so carefully. Because maybe they had gotten something wrong… And if so this would be the most embarrassing New Year’s Day in their entire life! Even more embarrassing than when they had accidentally gotten a little tipsy and— 

“Ah, no! Please, do not worry about it too much, Ann–San.” Gentaro tried to reassure them, finally calming himself down it seems and turning back to face them. “It was just a surprise for all of us, truly.”

“Yeah yeah! A biig surprise!” Ramuda added, even making the right motion with his arms to emphasize how huge this surprise was. “This big! But but… You look really cute today! I got no complaints!” The last part had been added with his usual smile. No, not the usual. He was smiling brighter than before. “That this is Ann–Chan’s first outfit I would see them in… Lucky me~!”

“Yeah, what they said. It’s just a surprise, kinda.” Dice agreed with the other two yet seemed to fumble with his words a little. Though they couldn’t say why exactly. Was he not used to this or… Was he flustered at the sight? Ah, no way! That wasn’t it! He was probably just as caught off guard as the other two.

“R… Really now? Erm… Then… This isn’t wrong?” They had asked, still sounding a little embarrassed. Compared to the other three they stood out a little, probably. Their kimono hugging their figure… No, kind of covering it and all of that. At least it was warm so they couldn’t complain too much.

“Of course not. if thou wish to make this shrine visit extra special, there are no complaints.” Gentaro responded, smiling softly. 

“Eh? Extra special? But the first shrine visit of the year is always the most important, isn’t it?”

“Hmm… I cannot argue with thee about that either. But we are no longer in times where thou has to dress extra fancy.”

“C… Come on now…”

“Again, if thou wish to wear it… Do you see those three men complaining?” He then pointed at each of them respectively while speaking.

Ramuda had just been smiling brightly, a little excited, as if saying ‘This is a change of pace from the usual’ and he was more than happy about it. He couldn’t stop staring and if it was not for the moment maybe he would have gotten the phone out of his pocket.

Dice was staring Ann up and down, first not too sure what to say yet he let out a slight smirk afterwards. He didn’t seem to mind in the end and even seemed to compliment it by eyeing it. They were not sure how to react and yet they just took it as a compliment, even if slightly flustered.

Gentaro was a different story, he had been smirking all this time. And yet, they found something odd about his gaze. Not in a bad way, just… In an unusual way. And yet, he did not seem to complain. In fact, he only tried to reassure them in the end, put them at ease. And they were grateful for that in the end. No, really.

In fact all of that made them sigh in relief, that they had not embarrassed themself completely in front of all three of them. But they should keep it in mind for next time… Well, that or they might wear it again… Just to have it as an excuse to wear it. It’s only a small bonus if the three had liked it.

“Alright, understood. Shall we be on our way then?” They asked, smiling lightly. They had not expected to be this eager but they were. No matter what their fortune they might be told at the beginning of the year… They had faith that it would turn out to be a great and fun one. With everyone on their side… Their dear friends, the old cat and their crew partner and crime. And of course the trio known as Fling Posse. They were confident that this year would turn out to be a great one nonetheless. After all, it was already starting to look promising, wasn’t it? 

“As long as you are there… I’m sure this year can’t go wrong. I will look forward to what the future holds, no matter how bad it gets. Because as long as you are by my side… I think we will make it through just fine. No, I don’t think so… I’m more than certain of it!”

I’m sure she would love to sew up something special for her!”

A pink blush spread across his cheeks and a giddy smile played on his lips. “Lola-chan!!” He squealed happily, hugging the photo to his chest. “I love love loooove Lola-chan!” He giggled. “She’s one of my best friends! Not only that, she was the one who helped me get my start in the model industry! She’s so nice and amazing, how can I not fall in love?!” He sighed dreamily before getting a devious look on his face, snickering behind his hand. “Here’s a little secret, sometimes whenever we’re feeling bored and a little pent up, Lola and I get together and have a bit of fun, we drink a bit of wine, pop a few ecstasy pills and fuck each other like rabbits until the sun comes up, you have no idea how fucking adorable she looks when she squirts! Ichiro’s zodaic animal is the rabbit

like Momiji and the rabbit zodiac, Ichiro is full of energy, curious, sincere, and very popular

Ichiro has never been ashamed to be who he truly is, but he knows that the curse has made him more wary of women

he still has lots of female friends, but he’s cautious to become too close to them (although he’s definitely had close calls in the past)

Ichiro didn’t grow up with much love from his parents so he pushes most of his love onto his brothers Jiro (the monkey) and Saburo (the rooster)

he’s still pretty optimistic about the future though, and he believes that one day he might be able to find someone who loves him just as he is

and that’s when you walk into his life

the two of you become fast friends, always chatting and hanging out, but you’re quick to notice Ichiro’s disdain for physical contact

his constant ducking and dodging make you think that he doesn’t like you in that way, but it’s really just because he doesn’t want to burden you with his secret just yet

so the two of you become closer and closer until eventually one day, Ichiro asks you out on a date

shortly after that, the two of you start dating and that’s when Ichiro starts to freak out about when he should tell you his secret

he decides to tell you one night when you’re having a movie night and it all sort of spills out

you sit in awe and wonder as he reveals his dark secret that he turns into a zodiac animal when under stress or hugged by a woman

he’s not sure how much you believe, but he doesn’t want to show you his rabbit form because he’s just too embarrassed by it

unfortunately, things really come to a head when the two of you are out in Ikebukero doing some last minute Christmas shopping

you hear someone call out Ichiro’s name and turn to see one of his old school friends running towards him

Ichiro warns him to stop, but his friend practically jumps up to him in excitement, pushing him right back...onto you

in an awkward backwards hug, there’s a puff of smoke and Ichiro is suddenly nowhere to be seen

you panic because this is what he had been telling you about and while his friend asks what happens and curious shoppers look on from around you, you quickly swoop up rabbit!Ichiro from inside the smoke and hug him in your arms

you don’t wait to explain anything, taking off with the rabbit in your arms

when you finally get back to your house, Ichiro thanks you and you set him down on the couch

it’s only then that you realize how adorable his rabbit form really is and you can’t resist placing a small kiss on his fluffy little forehead

Ichiro whines, saying that the more you touch him the longer he’ll be like this but you just muse that he’s so cute that wouldn’t really be a bad thing

once Ichiro is back in his human form, he’s quick to apologize, saying that he knows it’s a lot to take in and ask of you to keep a secret

but you just smile and blow him a kiss, saying that you love him and you’ll do anything to keep his secret

Ichiro is practically on the verge of tears from your words, feeling a sort of love that he’s never really felt before

and he can’t help himself as he throws himself onto you in an embrace, crying out as he turns into a rabbit in your arms once more

Samatoki Aohitsugi

Samatoki’s zodiac animal is the horse

like Rin and the horse zodiac, Samatoki is quite wild but loyal, often suspicious of people before trusting them

Samatoki largely ignores his zodiac side and simply figures that if he refuses to date women, he won’t have to deal with his zodiac side

there have been a handful of times he’s passed out of exhaustion at the yakuza base and his underlings were all incredibly terrified and impressed that the boss managed to get a horse into his office

when he first meets you, he’s slow to want to have anything to do with you

he doesn’t want to be close to women, knowing that the zodiac curse effectively stops people from being loved and he doesn’t want to have to deal with the fallout of you being scared of him or worse, saying you don’t love him anymore

despite this, you keep showing up and charming Samatoki and he finds himself falling hard for you

you fall for him too and soon both of you are dating but with Samatoki putting a hard and fast rule that he wants to take it slow

unbeknownst to you, this rule is really just in place so that he has time to decide how to tell you the truth about the curse

unfortunately for him, he doesn’t get the chance to tell you in private because one night, when you’re both out on the town and walking home together, two thugs come up and try to steal your bag

of course, Samatoki is quick to beat them up and knock them out, but when he turns around to make sure you’re okay, he doesn’t have time to react as you throw your arms around him with a ‘thank you’

his eyes go wide and he can only mutter a ‘shit’ before there’s a pop and smoke fills the air as you fall to the ground

after a few moments, you find yourself staring up at a silver horse that’s staring down at you with big eyes

you look around in confusion, calling out for Samatoki when the horse suddenly talks and tells you not to freak out

but of course that only makes you freak out even more and you’re immediately on your feet with your hands out, trying to make sense of the situation

Samatoki sighs and decides that he has to tell you the truth, explaining the curse and saying that he plays the role of the horse in the zodiac

it takes you a while to wrap your head around this information, and as you are, there’s another pop and Samatoki is back, pulling on the clothes that were scattered around the ground

he prepares to leave, apologizing and saying that it’s probably best if you both go your separate ways but you’re quick to tell him to wait

explaining that you just need more of an explanation and that you want all of the details

that you still love him and that you want to make this work regardless of whatever curse might be haunting him

Samatoki is stunned and doesn’t believe you at first, but when you threaten to hug him again and feed him nothing but oats, he realizes that you really are telling him the truth

there’s a part of him that’s scared to believe that anyone could ever love him, but there’s another part that believes that if you really love him as strongly as you say you do, he’ll be loyal to you for the rest of his life

Ramuda Amemura

Ramuda’s zodiac animal is the ox

like Haru, Ramuda has two distinct personalities that the zodiac curse has only amplified 

while one side of him is happy-go-lucky, the other side is dark and dangerous making him feel that he could never be loved

and that he didn’t even deserve love

it’s extremely difficult for Ramuda to go through life without hugging any of the beautiful women that he sees, but somehow he makes do

he makes it a point to flirt, but never let them touch him, joking that he won’t do any of those kinds of things until he’s married

when he meets you, he treats you the same way, joking and flirting until he realizes that there’s something different about you

you don’t dismiss him like the others and you genuinely care about him and want to spend time with him

the two of you start dating and at first it’s casual but then it becomes more intense and Ramuda realizes how bad this could be for you

this makes his dark side flare up in an attempt to make you leave him, not wanting you to stay around him and get hurt

but you insist that you love him and that you know he would never hurt you like that

and in an attempt to stay by his side, you throw your arms around him and hold him tightly

but suddenly he’s not there in your arms and you look around, then down and realize that there’s a small pink cow standing where Ramuda stood

you immediately fall backwards with a cry, confused as to why there’s suddenly a pink cow in the middle of Ramuda’s shop

but cow!Ramuda just sighs and shakes his little cow head, saying that he knew something like this was going to happen and that he’s sorry you had to find out this way

he tells you about the curse that turns him into a zodiac animal when he’s hugged by a woman and you know that you wouldn’t have believed him if he wasn’t standing in cow form right in front of you

part of Ramuda is mad that you’ve revealed his secret, but in actuality he’s just angry because he’s scared that you’ll leave him now that you know about the curse

it takes you a few moments to pull yourself together, but then you’re smiling and saying that it’s unfortunate, but that he looks rather cute as a small pink cow

and even after Ramuda changes back into a human with a puff of smoke, pulling a nearby suit off the rack to change into, you still smile and say that you love him

Ramuda doesn’t understand, he doesn’t know if he ever truly will, but he wants to believe in you and your words

so he decides to stay with you and is secretly relieved that he doesn’t have to deal with the secret of the curse by himself anymore

Jakurai Jinguji

Jakurai’s zodiac animal is the dragon

like Hatori and the dragon zodiac, Jakurai is calm and collected, charismatic and compassionate

also, he doesn’t actually turn into a dragon, but rather a seahorse

Jakurai is extremely careful of his surroundings, always making sure that he never gets embraced by a woman 

the more pressing matter is that he still turns into a seahorse whenever he gets overstressed or sick

because of this, he always makes sure Hifumi and Doppo know when he’s feeling down so that they can be around when/if he changes and put him in a little glass of water 

but Jakurai wasn’t expecting that he would ever fall in love 

so when he falls hard for you, he knows it’s only a matter of time until you accidentally hug him or he accidentally turns into his animal

he decides that he needs to tell you the truth and he doesn’t want to leave it to fate, so one day he takes you to his apartment and sits you down

he explains the curse and all of it’s peculiarities, saying that he wants to tell you this now so you can leave the relationship if you can’t handle it

at first you think he’s joking, but then suddenly his arms are wrapped around you and there’s a puff of smoke and Jakurai is gone

but not completely gone because now there’s a tiny little seahorse on the ground and you’re freaking out because you thought it was gonna be a dragon but now he’s just a cute little seahorse but omg seahorses need water and you don’t want your boyfriend to die

Jakurai tells you to calm down and that he’s prepared a little glass of water for you to put him into which you do with shaky hands

it takes you a few minutes to come to terms with the reality of the situation, but when you finally do, Jakurai apologizes

he says that he understands if this is too much and he won’t fault you for breaking up with him, but of course you simply smile and say it’s okay

because you love him too much to be swayed by some curse 

and also you think his seahorse form is kind of cute and you don’t mind that he’s so tiny when he’s like this

but then moments later there’s another puff of smoke and you blink twice, look up and immediately turn red because now Jakurai is wet and also not wearing any clothes

to which the doctor apologizes for once again and quickly puts his clothes back on

Jakurai is happy that you accept him for who he is unconditionally because he never believed that the zodiac curse would allow him to be loved

it’s going to bring you two closer together and Jakurai won’t want to let you go ever again

it's backstage after another successful night that he first meets you, and sasara often liked to joke with you that it was a 'love at first sight' sorta thing

well, there was some truth to that i suppose. you had come to support your brother, all on your own accord, yet also chastsized for giving him a damn near heart attack. you should've said something beforehand, rosho scolded, a bit of a apologetic expression you held

but to sasara, that was perhaps when the admiration began, planted a seed in his heart. he was an only child, and he didn't necessarily come from the best home life. watching the love and support from a sibling, how you traveled all the way to one of your brother's shows in support, well, it was moving and made his heart act up in ways

huh, sasara didn't quite remember rosho ever mentioning that he had sister, and a cute one at that

and it sparked like that, sasara not-so-subtly introducing himself and flirting, throwing in one of his surefire jokes here and there. and when you laughed at them so cutely, he knew that he had developed somewhat of a hopeless crush

rosho's a bit oblivious at first, though highly suspicious. it's hard not to be when his friend and comedy partner keeps asking about his sister here and there, how your new job was coming along, if you needed help moving; and it only deepens when you ask the same things back at home, such as if, by chance, he was looking

but it's not too difficult to piece together, and he can't help but sigh when he confronts sasara (and you, by that manner), especially from how that idiot tried his hardest to deny. two oblivious idiots in love, truly

"it's fine to date my sister," rosho obliges, and it doesn't go unnoticed the way sasara perks up. "it's not like i can tell her who or who not to date. besides," and he says down more quietly, looking off to the side and rubbing his neck, "i trust you with her"

and just like that, sasara is right at your doorstep, way too eager to confess. his heart's rapid firing, the smile doesn't leave, yet the butterflies and anxiety get to him. how uncharacteristic, he tells himself, but oh was it nerve-wracking, more so than his performances (and ofc, you say yes, never seeing a man more elated)

your appearance at their shows become much more frequent, the backstage flirting much less subtle. you're gushing over your now-boyfriend, saying how absolutely hilarious he was up there, and sasara reciprocates

rosho can't help but cringe internally, especially at how he's outcasted as the third-wheel

and i'm sure the two of you are always asking rosho what the other likes, how to impress or what to give as gifts because, well, he's the mediary. he knows the other the best and probably has to be some sort of middleman, but only to a small extent of course. it was kinda inevitable perhaps

you guys definitely do crack some jokes at his expense lmao, such as how odd his humor is or how he's certainly oblivious, even now when he doesn't get that you're joking about him much later (which he scolds the two of you for and turns this adorable shade of red)

but you're also gushing about him as well, about how he does so well up on stage and admiring him. you and sasara are the founder of the rosho appreciation club most certainly

it's double the trouble and headache for him, but as an older brother and comedy partner, rosho is certainly happy to see the two of you doing well with one another. he'd never outright say it, but he cared, a lot (he had a bit of a big heart i like to think)

you guys have your ups and downs, especially when the duo dissociates. it was difficult for sasara to face you, rosho's sister, but you do have to take the initiative and set things straight with him given that he wasn't all too good with communication (things do work out, eventually, given how sasara still had the desire to be with you)

and, of course, when dh is formed once more, things certainly do go back to as close to normal, and this time you're cheering on from the sidelines of the division battles

it works out, overall; you two were practically made for each other, is what rosho liked to say when you guys get into trouble

you two were a headache for rosho. cute, but oh so troublesome

ramuda

it's in typical ramuda fashion that he first makes a move on you when you're in shibuya for a business trip

you're such a cute lady, he thinks, walking around the city with no sense of where to go. you're lost, that much is clear, and he approaches you; i mean, what else would a gentleman do i suppose

and ramuda pulls out his cutesy act, flirting with you and saying how absolutely adorable you look in the sundress you're wearing, pulling out all the stops. well, it's nothing more than an act, at first anyway

it's flattering, of course, especially when you're being picked on by one of the strongest division leaders in the country. it was when the for you started, nothing more than a tiny crush, though the more times you guys ran into one another the more they were reciprocated on his end

he doesn't find out that you're rosho's sister until the two of you begin dating, and it's some time after, a fact that ramuda finds out himself when you. it doesn't matter too much, brushing it off when you offhandedly point him out in a photo, but he wouldn't lie that a tiny bit of him was surprised to find out that you were siblings with one of his rival divisions

maybe he's a tad annoyed at first, seeing that you were related to that one guy from dotsuitare hompo (not that he could recall much from him); but ramuda is also a little bit of a prick, of course. he definitely smirks just a tad to himself knowing he's dating one of his rival's siblings, so certain to rub it in your brother's face next time

and your older brother does not like him one bit

perhaps it was rosho's brother instincts kicking in, or maybe it was the tiny bit of uneasiness that settled in his gut, but gosh did he not like your boyfriend at all when you tell him all about ramuda

ramuda, well, didn't exactly give off the best vibes, especially with that childish (and annoying, mind you) act he put up. rosho's perhaps a bit dumbfounded at first, but he wishes you all the best

of course, you're your own person, and it's not as if he stops you or anything, but man does rosho make it clear that ramuda wasn't exactly his favorite. the agitated look and scowl he had whenever you brought him up or gushed about him was more than obvious

but he respects you and your relationships, of course (not that rosho most certainly wouldn't challenge him to a battle if ramuda were to ever hurt you)

ramuda definitely likes to tease you about supporting fling posse when the division rap battles come around, fake crying and pulling out his usual childish act

"wahh, you're so cruel," he whines, poking your cheek. "you won't even support your own boyfriend's team!" all in good fun, naturally (though ramuda would certainly be a tad egoistic hearing you cheer from the stands; it made him more determined to win)

and ramuda's a bit nosy, always poking for embarrassing stories about your brother, especially when you convince rosho to join the two of you for lunch to get to know one another more. ramuda was having the time of his life, at the expense of rosho's dignity perhaps

i do think he'd love to tease rosho about it as well, calling him brother-in-law and the like, if only to relish in the absolutely irritated tone rosho took on after

ramuda knew your brother didn't like him all that much, but you certainly did, and that was all that really mattered

and oh he is he a prick alright, especially once his team wins the championship. you run up to congratulate him, kissing him right then and there, and he couldn't be happier, relishing in the moment

and ramuda would turn back to rosho and stick out his tongue at him in such a childish manner afterwards. he'd won your affection after all, and he was going to stick it to rosho most definitely

the irritated look on his face was oh so worth it, the irate mark oh so clear

rosho couldn't believe his sister would fall for someone like that gremlin
