Rose Maclean and Lee Moldaver have such an incredibly tragic story... But can you imagine what Lee felt when she went to the vault to get the man who took everything from her and then saw a girl with the same kind eyes as the woman she loved? Then the realization that it was really Lucy all grown up? The same little girl she saw run through sunlit fields and thrive on the surface for what felt only like a moment... But now she was living a lie and the only sun she felt came from lights and a projector. Moldaver having to see all of that and still play it cool until she knew she could get Hank is just insane. Knowing that both she, Rose and herself could have had it for a lifetime if it hadn't been for him, Vault-Tec and their inability to let the world heal...

Anyway, fuck Hank MacLean and I hope both Lucy and Cooper get to absolutely destroy him in the future. Not only for Lucy, but for Rose and Lee... And all of the people that had their lives destroyed.

My predictions for future mainline sonic games is either they actually pick off what they established in frontiers and make another decent game and story related but not necessarily focused on stuff from frontiers (most likely to happen if I'm being realistically optimistic), or they completely throw everything out the window and just make a new sonic continuity for the nth time with a game that may or may not suck both gameplay and story wise (if I were to be a pessimist), OR they go completely insane and have a game hinging specifically on that part from frontiers where Amy Tails and Knuckles say they want to go on thier own journeys, and have the game follow four different storylines of Tails ,Sonic,Amy and Knuckles, all with different gameplay (I guess adventure style but tbh I didn't like those very much skdhsjs) and while the other 3 will be in a positive light, Sonic's storyline would be about him losing it slightly because his friends are away and he feels like he's stuck in one place despite being the fastest thing alive, you can even throw shadow in there if you want (very very unlikely to happen but can you imagine lmao).

I'd like an unleashed thing too tbh (this one's personal I just like to think about it, though if they did it ,it probably wouldn't be a mainline game release)

This quote from OP pretty much encapsulates my irritation towards how the murder-revenge plot in the Roses and Muskets event concluded.

Real world laws intersecting with morality can get messy, and if the story wanted to depict that messiness in a more authentic way then Chevreuse should’ve been written as someone who does her best to stand up for the idea of “justice” while acknowledging that the law itself is not always just. She’s already depicted as willing to use underhanded means of helping others as well as working with the folks of Fleuve Cendre, even if she can’t go the full mile.

The murder plot presents faux-moral greyness without reconciling with how judicial systems and laws regularly fail the marginalized and allows atrocities to slip through the cracks. It merely alludes to Chevreuse’s moral dilemma with the system, yet tells us in the same breath to put our trust in that very system nonetheless. Even the archon quest manages to discuss how flawed Fontaine’s justice system was for failing to prevent Vacher from murdering women and ruining Navia’s father. Neuvillette - the IUDEX HIMSELF - admitted to this.

Chevreuse had the potential to be a truly morally grey character who struggles to do right by the people, even if what’s right conflicts with her beliefs, her position as Captain of the Gardes, and Fontaine’s laws.

Instead, we got a cop.

quick life update!!!! i haven't posted in a hot minute and i wanted to give a mini explanation bc i probably will start posting regularly again soon!

as i've mentioned before i haven't been feeling super well recently and on top of that ive been working nonstop for 12 hours every day cuz of classes and work in general and im desperately trying to fit in a social life and decent sleep schedule around these busy hours 😭 the extra hours will end next monday (and ill go back to my usual free time), so i'll probably start posting a LOT more next week!!! writing is def super comforting for me, so i have a lot of WIPS rn that im super excited to finish and post :D
