You know, I just think it's funny that all these weirdos are freaking out about how the httyd live action made ruffnut chubby- when they only did that to her because she's literally meant to be the 'ugly' one. In 2 and 3 specifically ruffnut is used for the misogynistic trope, 'ugly women wants love' - AND AT THE SAME TIME, being used for a 'women sexually assaulting a man' joke.

As the movies progress she's just made a mockery of; with her voice getting deeper and more gruff, becoming stupid (she never used to be), and being made intentionally 'unattractive', like making her chin gigantic over time (they massacred my girl).

Ruffnut works a lot better as this noodle twig alongside her brother, and if they were gonna beef anybody up it really should be Astrid - but they were never going to do that because Astrid is the 💗 love interest 💗 and she's meant to be 'pretty'.

It's disgusting, but it's not surprising. Companies will follow market interests and those interests will NEVER be on our side.

Can we talk about kids shows

like I feel so dumb sometimes hyperfixating on kids shows or laughing at them but- there's some that are better then adult shows

Why watch a murder mystery or a show with explicit scenes when you can watch a girl meet a cursed owl witch in an alternate universe? Or a fat kid save the world from aliens?

What classifies as a kids show

Like gravity falls is TECHNICALLY a kids show but you can't tell me it's not a good teenage or adult show

A Ruff Ruff Danger Dogs Theory

Okay, since the series is one big homage/parody of Super Sentai/Power Rangers, I can’t help but feel like it’s in the realm of possibility that a Sixth Danger Dog/Ruff Ruff Green will be introduced later down the line. I’m literally basing this on nothing but the typical conventions of the media the show is based on, but I still think it’s something to consider going forward.
