As a yandere, Rantaro Amami wouldn’t be that obsessed nor psychotic as the others but more overprotective and proprietary; deeply despising whenever your interest in a romantic partner drifts off in a direction that isn’t his.

Rantaro wouldn’t try too hard to make his romantic — well, more obsessed — feelings for you evident. Rather showing that he wants to be like a close “friend;” An overprotective and somewhat controlling friend…

While we’re on the topic of his more controlling side, he wouldn’t really like or approve of the idea of you leaving your house (dorm?) unless if it were for school or to see him of course. And if his kind requests for you to stay weren’t enough, maybe a bit of manipulation would be needed just for you to agree. It won’t harm anyone in the long run so what’s so bad about it, right?

Rantaro would never want you to feel uncomfortable around him no matter the situation. He just loves you too much to ever make you feel that way. Making it all the more difficult for him to make the decision of whether or not he should “get rid of” someone who seems to have gained your interest. He just cannot bear the thought of you crying for days after their missing body is discovered. But some things just cannot be helped.

On the topic of murder, Amami wouldn’t prefer that to be his first instinct whenever someone gets in the way of his and your relationship. He’ll wait as long as he possibly can, trying his best to keep you away from them before he snaps. Before he reaches the point of no return.

Would Rantaro ever result to kidnapping? It depends on the situation but I believe he probably would. Like mentioned earlier, he would never want you to harm you or make you feel uncomfortable. So when you’re finally with him forever, he’ll make sure you won’t feel any discomfort. He’s just too in love with you.

☆ Rantaro.....he's kind of an anomaly. Laid-back but keeps to himself, kind at face value but calculating and inquisitive, his feelings are something that you honestly might never really figure out. Not that he wouldn't like to admit his more intimate feelings to you, but there are some things he just has to do in order to protect you.

☆ However, the nicer side of that is that it means he has an excuse to hang around you all the time (which also means, thankfully, that he won't be the first to die). He's really too sweet for you to mind, and in the midst of something as serious as a killing game, it's really a boon to have someone tall and strong with a good head on his shoulders around you. Especially when he doesn't let anyone push you around--in fact, that's one of the few times he actually gets serious, when he tells whoever is bothering you to knock it off, now. Unless they want problems with him instead. "If you have a problem with him/her/them, then you have a problem with me. Are you sure that's what you want? Or would you rather walk away unscathed?"

☆ It's almost impossible to miss the fact that he likes you after all that, though. His attempts to hide his feelings for you are the weakest part about him, to the point that when you eventually confront him about it he can't do anything but offer an "I'm sorry, sweetheart." with a sheepish smile on his lips and a hand on the back of his neck. It's a little embarrassing for him to have been found out so easily, but hey, you were gonna find out sooner or later. He can't really help the way that he looks at you, or how his eyes always seem to fall to your lips whenever you laugh or smile, a fantasy of kissing you tucked away in the back of his mind.

☆ But if you give in or you're sincerely smitten with him, then he'll be working even harder to hide his obsessive tendencies from you. Once you're a couple and you're much closer than before, it's a lot harder to hide the fact that most of his thoughts revolve around you, with quite a few of them venturing into those dark, wicked places that he swears he can never give in to. If he could have it his way, he would keep you isolated from everyone so nobody will get their filthy hands on you, and so he'll never, ever lose you. That fear is primarily what prompts his obsession, and while he'll try his best to keep those desires mediated, they're definitely gonna slip out every now and then.

☆ And if you're together, you're together. Rantaro makes his affection obvious and he's not opposed to PDA, but he'll respect your wishes if it makes you uncomfortable and keep it light, like holding you by the waist or just holding your hand. But he's around all the time even if you don't notice him, because no way in hell is he leaving you alone while there's a killing game in effect--that would just be stupid arrogance on his part to think you won't be a target, and to the contrary to how he acts, he's suspicious of everybody. No matter how small, weak, friendly, or moralistic, he knows damn well that anybody could become a killer with the right motivation.

☆ He is insistent on making sure you two are the last ones alive. He won't let you die. He can't. He's gone through this whole thing once so he has to convince himself that he can do it again, because if he can't assure himself then how can he reassure you that everything's gonna turn out okay? But he can't go to the extent of killing anyone either, because if he fails then he dies and leaves you all alone, and if he succeeds, you'll die and he'll be forced to go on without you.

☆‼️ And if you do die, ultimately, he'll feel that it's all his fault. If it was purely by accident with nobody as the perpetrator, then he'll kill himself. But if somebody had the audacity to murder you, then he's dragging everyone down with him. Fuck all of them, none of them helped to protect you and one of them is your killer, and if any one of them thinks they're getting away with it they're wrong, dead fucking wrong! The most likely outcome is that he'll track down your killer before the trial even happens and tear them limb from limb, making it as slow and agonizing as possible, because even the idea that they've touched you is enough to send him into a frenzy. And when the trial does come around, he'll fuck around with the evidence and confuse everyone as much as he can, because if you're not alive anymore, then why the hell should they be? Plus, if he fails (which he probably will) and gets convicted, then he'll just be glad he can see you again in the afterlife. That's the only thought in his mind as he's sent into his execution.

♡🔒 The best thing you can do for yourself, if you're shy about intimacy and sex, is to never tell Rantaro you're a virgin. He's definitely not a pushy guy, but he can and will manipulate you into giving it up to him if you open the door of opportunity. He'll use sex as a way of claiming ownership over you--naturally, you're going to be closer to the person you gave your virginity to (at least in his mind), and thus it means he thinks he knows you better than anybody else in the school. Even if you make friends and buddy up with other people, he'll always have his opinions about the others and he'll always act like they come second to him, maybe not as bluntly, but you can tell just by the way he looks at them when they hang around you.

☆♂️ If you're a guy, Rantaro allows you a little more space. He doubts anyone would really judge you on it considering they're all weirdos, but if people start questioning why you and him are always together he doesn't want to drag you into something that might humiliate you. That's the one and only reason he might ever back off a little, and if anyone questions him on his sexuality he'll jokingly reassure them that he's at least 99% straight. Just as long as nobody finds you two making out in a closet or getting a little loud in Rantaro's bedroom--then he'll have to revise his answer a little bit. Or, if people start questioning those sore-looking bite marks on the back of your neck, which you're gonna have a pretty hard time explaining away because he definitely left them there on purpose.

♡♀️ Hate to say it, but Rantaro's a victim of baby fever. There will be times out of nowhere that he'll start talking about having children, about you being pregnant, and even about baby names he's got in mind just in case you think about having kids. And whether you enjoy it or not, at some point he'll beg you to let him do it raw with you--just this one time, he promises, and then he can get all this pregnancy talk out of his mind. It's very naïve of you to believe him though, because it won't just be the one time, it never will. He's gonna keep going back to the subject now and again, in small doses, until it becomes an urge too strong for him to ignore. But no matter what happens, it's gonna be okay--you'd be such a cute mom, and he's great with kids! You two can take care of one just fine if it comes along...especially if their parents are a loving, happy couple, who adore each other just as much as they will their precious little baby.

He'll just keep rubbing it, squeezing you every so often, and with every right answer he moves a little closer until you're trembling in your seat as his fingers slip under your waistband and brush the seat of your underwear. And if you start whining for Rantaro to quit making you feel weird, he'll just tut and click his tongue at you.

When he eventually manages to slip it in, that little outfit he had you put on will be torn and your booklet will be pushed off and tumbled to the floor, just for you to take its place as Rantaro holds your legs up and coaxes you into telling him how good it feels. As a yandere, Nagito is already obsessive and delusional; but when another person is brought into the picture, another person that seems to be a little too close to you for comfort, something that feels like burning hatred ignites inside of his being. Something that makes his only desire to make that person disappear forever.

Of course Nagito wouldn’t directly express his envy over them in your presence. He already feels as though he isn’t, and will never be, good enough for you to ever be in a romantic relationship with, so why should he even let you know that, that one person just makes him so frustrated? Just for you to label him as a crazy-jealous classmate?

With that being said, when showing his dislike for a certain person, he won’t be too obvious about. Only throwing out a few blunt remarks with a painfully obvious frustrated attitude here and there.

If you ever were to catch onto his change of attitude, you’d obviously question him, and he’d only play it off as nothing.

And of course, Nagito will most definitely be the last person you’d question whenever that person suddenly goes missing…

Rantaro’s not the type of person to be consumed by jealousy, but something about that one person you just love to talk to just makes him feel some type of way. He desperately tries to fight off the deadly thoughts surging through his mind but it was all in vain. Someone wasn’t going to end up in one piece at the end of this.

Rantaro, despite being a yandere, doesn’t prefer to immediately result to violence whenever someone poses as a “threat” to your “relationship.” Yes, he respects your feelings if you are close friends with someone else, but just the thought of you having a romantic relationship with another that isn’t Rantaro himself makes him sick to his very stomach.

Rantaro wouldn’t really show his hatred towards that person… when you’re around. If you were to even leave them alone together, Rantaro would most definitely throw out a few light threats here and there. Something harmless but with a sinister, and undeniably malignant undertone.

And after some time, Rantaro will make sure that their last moments will be quick and with little to no suffering…
