The Avengers were playing around at Tony’s party, each of them trying to pick up Thor’s hammer. The competition had begun when Clint had questioned the integrity of the whole “you can only lift the hammer if you are worthy” thing, and Thor challenged him to try to lift it up himself. After his failure, he invited Tony to try. Tony gave his best attempt before grabbing his Iron Man hand. Soon, he’d recruited Rhodey with his War Machine hand, and the two of them pulled on the handle and still failed to pick up the hammer. Bruce was invited to try, and he got so frustrated that he forced himself to stop. 

Steve rolled up his sleeves and wrapped his hands around the handle, then pulled with all of his might. But even he couldn’t pick it up. 

You felt tired, and so you weren’t participating, about to head upstairs to go to bed. You walked by to say goodnight, though. “Hey, y’all, I’m going to bed, but I’ll see you tomorrow,” you said with a soft smile as you walked by them. Your leg hit the hammer and knocked it down. You bent over, picked it up easily, and handed it back to Thor. “Sorry about that,” you said casually, then walked away upstairs, letting out a small yawn of exhaustion.

The Avengers stared at you, shocked. Steve just grinned. “That’s my girl!”

How would you know? How would I? What is Doom? The flesh and blood that I can swap in and out of at my convenience? The mind I have copied to a thousand machines? No. Doom cannot fit in such small containers. I am not my body. Not my mind. I am... I am the old trunk, filled with ancient mysteries. I am the explosion in the college laboratory. I am the mask that burns with the fires of vengeance. I am the legend that unites this nation.

Y/n, try to soothe their crying baby: I know you can't tell me what's wrong but at least please stop crying for a moment.

Natasha: Is it the diaper? Hungry?

Y/n, almost mad: Oh maybe I didn't check it. Nat, it is the first thing I checked! I changed his diaper, I gave him bottle, I breastfeed him, check his tummy! Everything that comes to mind.

Natasha, takes her baby: It's alright baby, please stop crying soon or your mommy will cry too. We both know that she's a lot to handle.

Y/n, put back her water from the fridge: What did you said?!

Natasha: Nothing babe.

Tony: Whoaa, what's with all the fuss? Can't figure out why your baby crying? *looking at y/n

Y/n: Why are you at me?

Tony: Because you're the mother. You birth him. Don't you two have some kind of bond or something?

Natasha: Tony..

Y/n: How am I supposed to know what he said. He's a baby! He can't even talk! Not a fucking word! I don't understand the crying language Stark! Nobody does!

Tony: jeeeeezzzz. I'm trying to help!

Y/n trowing cheese at Tony but it fallen on the baby's head and all silent: What in the world-

Tony: Told you, that you guys have special bond!

Y/n: That cheese was meant for you. Now hush!

Natasha: Thank you, cheese. Never in my life I thanked a thing but here I am, thanking a slice of cheese. Yeaaa, you did it mommy! Yes, mommy did. And you're laughing now.

Y/n: cheese huh?

Tony: Do we have enough cheese?

i know I barely marvel post (mostly because Ive never been able to super get into the MCU), but, genuinely, Doctor Doom is my favorite villain!!!

When I was younger I'd read my dad's fantastic four comics, watch the show- hell, even in the Ultimate Spiderman show. I LOVE Doctor Doom!!!

yeah obviously it sucks that marvel is ruining a great arc just to bring back rdj as a shitty cash grab, but like i will not be satisfied until god of stories loki reunites with sacred timeline thor, im sorry. he said the sun will shine on us again and i will beg for it until that becomes true

i understand why we hate marvel ignoring the incredible endings to their own stories just for a little more money. but i fucking want a thor and loki reunion on the big screen

Kind of crazy the Tony Stark from the 90s, 80s, 70s and 60s is dead. Like that version of the character is never coming back. He might vaguely exist as an echo, but that character as we knew him is more dead than Ben Parker. Crazy what a popular movie adaption can do to someone.

Kinda like those cool characters in video games (ex. Lisa or Yae Miko from Genshin or smthn). Like, its subconscious and such when they do it and they dont do jt to look cool, they js.. do it?

Laughing Headcannons (Tony, Steve, Bucky, Sam)

Tony 

Tony loves to make you laugh. This man is cracking jokes all day every day just to get someone to crack a smile, and he especially loves it when he makes you laugh.

You instinctively cover your mouth when you laugh. It makes Tony smile, because he knows you’re laughing, but he always adds a teasing remark, like, “c’mon, don’t hide your pretty face.”

Eventually, he comes to realize that it’s just part of you, and you don’t even really mean to be doing it, so he’s just endeared by it. You’re adorable and perfect in his eyes, no matter what way you swing it. 

Steve 

Steve never paid too much attention or worried about the fact that you covered your mouth with your hand whenever you laughed. Seemed normal enough to him. 

But the more and more time you spend together, Steve started to do it, too. The other Avengers started noticing it when he would laugh at something they said. The other day, Natasha made a sarcastic comment to Tony that made him laugh, and he covered his mouth with his hand. He’s done it many more times since, leading Natasha to tease him for picking up your mannerisms. 

You think it’s cute that he’s picked it up from you, although Steve is pretty freakin adorable no matter what he’s doing, so if he’s laughing, you love it anyway. 

Bucky 

Bucky’s a little surprised the first time he makes you laugh. It’s the first time he’s made anyone besides Steve laugh in a while (he has to be comfortable to make jokes), and he can’t help but notice how you cover your mouth with your hand. 

Later, he notices that you do it again, and again. You cover your mouth every time that you laugh. At first, Bucky is worried that it’s a self conscious thing, that you’re embarrassed of how you look when you laugh or something. But he doesn’t want to say anything to make you more self conscious or to make you feel like you should be, so he’s careful. One day, he asks you why you do it. Once you shrug and say that you’ve just always done it, he lets it go.

Bucky loves when you look happy, and you look happy when you laugh. 

Sam

Sam’s drug of choice is making you laugh and entertaining you, so whenever he sees you cover your mouth, he takes it as a good sign that he’s amused you. 

Sam loves teasing you, playfully dancing, and making little funny comments about a situation to you when you’re in a room full of people. Sometimes, if you’re on the phone, he’ll be silly and make faces at you through the glass door of your office. And even though he can’t hear you, he can certainly see you cover your mouth to hide your laugh, and it makes him happy. 

To him, it’s always just been a silent gesture that he’s done the right thing that makes you laugh, and so he loves it.
