Hey fellas, are we gonna talk about the “I know now the span of my life. God help me!” 

Imagine your killer looking you in the eye and telling your exactly when he’s going to kill you, as you both politely pretend you don’t know what’s happening. You’re just writing some letters. He’s just thinking ahead. You’re just staying in Transylvania for a little longer than expected. You’re going to die in 6 weeks and you and Dracula both know it.

That line hits me like a fuckin brick every single time. Poor Jonathan. God help him indeed.

The way the coach driver pushed his horses to the limit, not out of fear for himself or his passengers in passing through the Borgo Pass, but out of fear for Jonathan. The way he believed if only he could arrive faster to Jonathan��s destination, faster than the evil meant to whisk him away, maybe, just maybe, he would be spared. Yes, if he did this, Jonathan would miss his appointment with the Count and travel to Bukovina with the rest of them, away from the horrors lurking in the mountains. How much fear, pity, and sadness the driver must have felt leaving Jonathan in the dark of the pass, alone with his fate.

Him: Why are people so obsessed with Dracula? Is it like a collective vampire fetish or....?

Oh so it's fine when everyone else puts their silly little guy in an enclosure and studies him and does experiments on him but when I, DR. JACK SEWARD -

I actually love Re: Dracula, because like,, it’s just so darn accessible???

Aside from the genuine care and time that the creators put into it, and the details and awesome sound effects, and it brings life to the novel in an awesome way.

Don’t get me wrong, I adore Dracula Daily, but I just don’t have the time at the moment to sit down and read it, where as with Re: Dracula, I can do my work and listen to it, I can play it as background noise to sleep too, I can do art with it. It’s easy for me to get to as well, so I can quickly get it on whiteout wasting too much time.

And did I mention the effort the team working on it puts in to it??

I know we saw Mina's letters a few days ago, but we didn't know the full story of what happened until today. Is there a more devastating phrase in Dracula than the words unopened by her? That could be up for debate, but truly, reading them for the first time last year absolutely gutted me. Farewell, sweet Lucy, from everyone who loved you with all the moods and tenses of the verb.

Hey wait a second.

I'm listening to the scene in Re:Dracula where Jonathan travels in the mountains with the wolves and like. Dracula can control wolves, right? He could have told them to back the fuck off at any time. But instead he let them threaten Jonathan so he could swoop in and save him.

Isn't it like. One mental abuse tactic? To set up a bad situation for the victim so the abuser can then help them out of it and look like a good person so the victim becomes even more dependent on the abuser?
