Abt victors being complex - that's why my personal unpopular headcanon is that most of them didn't have positive feelings about Katniss or Peeta. Because let's be real for a moment, even if you're the nicest person in the world or the most broken and beaten down by the Capitol and the Games: you would think "why wasn't I enough? Why didnt people care enough about me to riot? Why do I have to go through this hell again? Why did they get to break the rules?" And tbh, KP's naivety as victors, from that perspective, would be absolutely grating, they never really seem to Get It until its too late and everyone else has to pay for their mistakes.
yes!!! this!!!! you get it!!!!!
katniss and peeta never had to go through the normal Victor Experience with the pain of mentoring or victor prostitution or the companionship within the victors. they just don’t Get It, like you said. and that’s not their fault!! the capitol shows these people hanging off capitol citizens arms, oohing and awing at everything in their path every year, fully convincing everyone that the victors are happy. that they want to be here, away from their home and families hanging off of strange men and women’s arms. they depict the perfect victors, who smile and wave and sign autographs. victors like chaff and haymitch get about five seconds of screen time before being pushed aside because they’re not interesting, they’re not the focus, they’re not complying with the image we are depicting. they don’t conform with the images we are showing to our citizens.
i truly believe that there was no way all of the victors liked katniss and peeta. actually, i don’t think many of the victors liked katniss and peeta. as in, there was probably like two that genuinely liked them. and also, from their perspective, these are the reason they’re going back into the arena!! none of the victors wanted to do that!!!
we really need more complex victors representation in this fandom…
#dayne answers#i do not see enough of the victors being pissed#let them be mad!!!!! let them be pissed at whoever you want!!!!! just let them be angry!!!!!!#this goes back to the perfect victim thing honestly#because the victors will react differently to stuff… like they’re different characters with different experiences…#like for example (dayne’s abt to yap abt D3 again continue at your own risk)#beetee and wiress had vastly different childhoods.#because of this they have different reactions to things. just because they are both victors does not mean they are the same!!!#they had insanely different strategies too!!!#like it just doesn’t make sense to me to make the victors either carbon copies of each other or make them love everything abt their#situation and KP#makes for boring characters imo but to each their own#thg#the hunger games#hunger games victors#thg meta

Re watching the movies now that I've read the book: Catching Fire
•I miss then prep teams also where's Portia?
•the echoes of Peeta loosing his leg are still here but Peeta never actually lost his leg so they lose all their meaning.
•Katniss asks just Gale to run away and Gale is against it... Book Gale was giddy af that Katniss wanted to run. Then she brought up bringing Haymitch and Peeta and he got snippy. Then she brought up 8 and he heard war and wanted to fight.
•the Peacekeepers raiding d12 is dramatic but idk It feels too dramatic? Like
• Gale got whipped for saving people cus we've never seen him actually hunt! Jk but also not?
•they really took out all of Katniss and Peeta's scenes didn't they? Not to be all 'but it in the books' but in the books Peeta is actually part of the story in d12. This makes its seem like Peeta and Katniss only hang out when they're outside of D12, like D12 is for Gale and Katniss and the Capital is for Peeta and Katniss.
• ok I understand the medium change from book to movie but when Katniss is standing in front of Gale at the whipping post, and Thread 'marked up her face' ....It looks like a smear of blood. That doesn't look like she got in the way of a whip, it looks like she got some a Gale's blood on her.
•Katniss's mom can't do shit here? she can't even give shot and Prim has to do it. Mrs Everdeen is the healer of d12, put some respect on her. I have issues with Mrs Everdeen but her ability to heal isn't one.
•'hows your eye'... Their's literally nothing wrong with it.
• We're broadcasting whippings across Panem? That's something.
• their reactions to the quarter quell 😭
• no Peeta going career and forcing them to train 😞
•back in the woods with Gale and Katniss... And no weapons... No game bag. Y'ALL ARE SUPPOSED TO GET HUNTING AND GATHERING!
• ok again where is Peeta's family? They do not exist. Gale at least had two siblings mentioned. I know Peeta screamed that he has people to protect but im not seeing them. No one even mentions the town baker!
• they dug themselves a few plot holes, they snuck Katniss pin in the first but now in this one they can have tokens? They could always have tokens, their was no needs for Cinna to hide her pin in the first movie.
• why did haymitch introduced them by going D1 D2 D3 D6 D4 why not go in order? It's not by threat level if so 6 wouldn't be there.
• Finnick 😭
• Katniss reached for Peeta's hand this time
•Katniss looks so done in the elevator with Johanna.
• MAGS 😭
• again they don't even ask about Haymitch's games? He was the last to win a quarter quell? Do they even say what games he won?
• Peeta is so done 💀
• Katniss hung Seneca Crane, Peeta painted Rue on the floor.... That would hit harder if we knew Peeta pained (when people react to CF I don't think they get Peeta did that, some think the gamemaker put it there)
• I love all their little acts of defiance.
• ok I know some think Caesar is on the tributes's side but like no, I don't think so. he's on the side of a popular show and that mean hyping up the contestants. He would never join the rebels, that would involve losing his position.
• I love Johanna, I wish they kept more if her and Katniss's relationship (from Mockingjay)
• damn even her earrings changed
• no toasting in the movies? 😭
• Peeta running up those steps with a little pep in his step like "look what I did! Aren't you proud?"
• Haymitch and Peeta hug 😭 give him another he's gonna need it.
• oh they do sleep in the same bed before the games but no rooftop date
• here we go! no other tributes getting their tracker this time? The last time they were all together
• Cinna 😭😭😭
• ok but that pin placement kinda sucks, doesn't seem secure.
• is Jennifer's hair black in this one? It's darker or am I seeing things.
• ok the echoes of things they didn't add, they have to find Peeta cus he stranded. He can't swim one cus d12 has no big bodies of water (except the lake which Peeta would never go to) and he is down a leg. So Finnick has to go get him.
• Finnick: *kissing Peeta*. Katniss: wtf?
• aka the moment Finnick knew that them loving each other isn't fake and they sold their love to the capital.
• this is such a nitpicking thing but Katniss is mentioning God, She's saying 'oh my god oh my god'. Theirs no religion in Panem or at least not enough to warrant her praying to god. Ok in the movies victor village theirs an angel statue but in the books Katniss doesn't know what Angels are! She describes them as 'Fat children with wings' cus again no concept of modern religion hence no reason for Katniss to say 'oh my god'
• just as Finnick was going to nap the fog appears, let him sleep 😭
• echoes again, why does Peeta need to be helped so much/be carried? Cus he lost his leg and can't run. Without him losing his leg its like he's holding the team back.
• Finnick better be happy, he got to keep his face pretty in this universe.
• have they ate anything yet? I'm the books they ate nuts, squirrel, shell fish, bread by now but I think they've just had water at this point.
• oh ok they're eating fish now, first meal?
• and the pearl... But no 'if you put enough pressure on coal, it turns into pearls.' So it doesn't really make sense, but still cute.
• Peeta gets 1 (one) moment of artistic ability per movie.
• I remember seeing an interview or something with the guy that plays Gloss and he said that he was told his character was getting shot in the head, so he played it as such. But they ended up going with the chest. You still see his head still snaps back and it looks stupid. I can't unsee it 💀💀💀
• Johanna and Finnick friend moment 💚
• I love Johanna, I hope she got all the best things after the war is over.
• Finnick, like the good d4 boy he is, is just sitting in the water.
• I love Beetee's science class
• Finnick is just spinning his Trident, I love him. 💙
• I fully believe that Peeta has no one else to care about and he believes nobody needs him BECAUSE THEY'VE NEVER SHOW HIS FAMILY!!!!!!
• no one have brought up that they're faking Katniss's pregnancy. Did they just drop that plot point? This is the part where they go 'your gonna be a an amazing mother 🥺' and Katniss goes 'oh yeah! I'm pregnant. I should remember that.'
• ah yes another echo. Why can't Peeta go with Katniss? He can't run in the woods.
• Katniss remember this moment, it's the last time you see him
• ok why is that spool of wire on like a plastic rod? Where do you get that in the jungle?
• Plutarch isn't there Snow.
• it's interesting to see that outside the arena is light when inside was like night, I'd be 12 in the arena cus the tree was struck.
• that slap!
• Gotta be honest the bombing of d12 loses some of the hurt when no one we care about dies. Who died that we care about in the movies? Madge? She's not in them. Peeta's family? We don't know them either. The only people we care about (Prim, Gale, Mrs Everdeen, Gales supposed family) are alive, we never formed any emotional bonds with other d12 people. Sure RIP but why should I be distraught? A bunch of unnamed characters died.

Hello! Could I request a story about descendants 3 Hades x fem!reader? Preferably if the reader is hurt physically, and a hurt/comfort main theme? Thank you💕
Honestly, D3 Hades is so likable to me, I love Hades. I really wished D4 had used him more (or even that D3 had used him more. He's so interesting and at least in D4 he feels sorta dumbed down to just "dude in leather jacket" which is lame)
Let Me See
Hades x Villain Reader
Pronouns Used: she/her/hers
Summary: Her need to be independent keeps leading Hades' wife to getting in fights, she really got herself into it this time
Warnings: Injury and blood, Reader and Uliana have unexplained issues with each other, crying, hurt/comfort nonsense except they argue as a form of affection, Death mention, pet names as insults + insults as pet names, minor swearing
Word Count: 2.2K
(Y/n) and Uliana never got along well in high school. It didn’t take a genius to know that Uliana only let her stick around back then because of Hades. The sea witch would never willingly let a god- especially the god of the underworld- slip out of her grip over something as petty as disliking some girl. She was better than that, smarter than that. So despite the obvious tension between them as teens, the girls were always around each other. And you hear the stories of kids who didn’t get along in high school that find their way into a fond friendship in their adult years, but those two would never be that. She understood that now. Stories like that came from changed levels of maturity, something that didn’t always come to those on the Isle. From the blood dripping from her nose and arm to the welts in the shape of suction cups on her cheek, (Y/n) had learned that maturity had not come to Uliana. Why had she even gone over there? She should have known the weaker sea witch would still be doing foolish things to even seem partially as nasty as her older sister. Especially now that Hook had sold his precious Jolly Roger to her niece; anyone knew that Uli wouldve seen that as a form of betrayal. It was like the last ties of high school affections had finally been cut, nothing to protect her from the compensating aggression of Uliana now.
As she quietly makes her way into the lair, holding her breath in hopes of Hades being asleep. She didn’t want to deal with whatever “I told you so” statements the man would have if he saw the state she was in. He told her not to go see the sea witch, “nothing good can come from visiting a girl who hated you in highschool”. She hated that he was right, he was always right. It was exhausting, she just wanted to prove him wrong once. She makes her way to the bathroom, nearly making it without incident. Of course though, it was only nearly, Zeus must have cursed her luck when they sent her to this god forsaken island. The cut on her arm gets caught on the ragged edge of the door’s strike plate, eliciting a loud string of swears to fly from her mouth as the skin of her arm gets tugged to the side. Her hand flies to her mouth, the motion hitting her swelling cheek and already injured nose, tears welling in her eyes. She was not winning today, with Uliana or herself it seems.
If the loud swearing didn’t already have Hades on his feet, the strangled sob that followed it would have; the god flying from his recliner to the source of the noise as if his life depended on it. When he rounds the corner his eyes lock on (Y/n), taking in her hunched over posture. His wife is white knuckling the counter, staring down at the stained bowl of the sink while her shoulders shake with what he’s almost positive are silent sobs. It takes everything in him to be quiet, waiting to gauge how she was planning to react. He slinks into the bathroom, closing the door and leaning on it. His arms cross over his chest, knee bending to prop his leg up against the hollow wood as he stands there, watching, waiting. She’d noticed him, Hades knew she did. Shoulders stilling with a shaky breath as she reaches up to wipe her eyes, the motion making her let out a pained whimper.
“Give me your worst,” despite mumbling it she knows that he hears her. “You think you can handle the worst of two real villains back to back, Princess?” Hades doesn’t need to see her face to know she’s rolling her eyes, some part of him can just feel it. The idea makes him smile softly, eyes casting up and down her body. “Uliana is not a real villain, don’t stroke her fragile little ego like that. She’s just a brat with anger issues. That’s all she’s ever been.” He chuckles, using his leg to push himself off the wall and over to her, hands finding their foundation on her shoulders. “You know, that’s tough talk coming from you, Princess. Maybe that’s how she got you in this little situation.” He presses a kiss to the back of her head, waiting for her to look up to him so he can kiss her properly. Hades knew better than to rush the woman though, she would surely reject the touch if it wasn’t her decision. She hated being told what to do in any sense, even if it was just him tilting her head towards him. Everything she did had to come from her own ideas. If pressed, he’d admit it was part of the reason he fell for her. In a vague attempt at sounding put together she lets out a cheap scoff, “I’m not crying over some sea witch, I just ended my affair, idiot.” It’s followed by a broken laugh, and though she doesn’t look up to him, she leans further into his touch. “Oh yeah? Who was my unlucky competition? Gaston? Hook? Jafar perhaps? Oh I know, that little snake finally got his hands on you, he wanted you so bad in school.” He’s laughing, rubbing his hands up and down her arms as speaks, the tone far too light for her to think he took her joke as anything but. “Maleficent, obviously. It was always her,” she mumbles, hissing as his hand unknowingly brushes the cut on her forearm. The man snatches his hand away from her, looking down to see the slick blood covering his fingers. The bubbling joke he had about how they had the same taste dies as he sees it. Who did Uliana think she was? If she thought she could hurt his woman like that she had another thing coming.
“What did she do to you?” There’s a fire behind it and his wife knows that if the barrier didn’t prevent it his head would be bursting into vibrant flames. She tries not to think about how much she misses the sight of it. “Nothing big, I can handle it. I just need the first aid kit, and some ice. You think you could go get me something cold?” He hums, pressing a kiss to one of her shoulders, “I’ll be right back with it. I moved the first aid kit to the bottom drawer.” She nods, leaning down to open the drawer once she hears the door close behind him. The old red plastic lost its shine a long time ago, potentially before they even got it. Not that it mattered, it still worked, she kept it stocked well enough. When you’re known for stupid things you have to be prepared for stupid prizes, don’t you? It opens with a satisfying click, the lid clattering against the counter noisily. She rustles through it one handed as she searches for her butterfly bandages to close her arm up. The boxes had broken at some point, leaving different sizes all over the container. Or someone had emptied them in the box, seems like something Celia could’ve done if Hades pissed her off. The idea made the woman giggle, imagining the little girl standing in her bathroom tearing apart boxes with that grumpy little pout on her face. She’d have to ask her about it the next time the kid came by. If not her, probably her stepson, Hadie and his dad always had to have something to argue about.
“What’s got you giggling?” He’s holding one of those old ice packs they got right after getting back together, one the baby ones she’d snagged for a much younger Mal and Hadie. Smiling at his wife as she shuffles through the box in front of her. “Someone spilt all the band-aids in here. Which would be a lot funnier if I wasn’t looking for those little butterfly ones that hold things closed.” He hums, putting the boo boo ice in her hand and taking the box from her. “Let me see.” She holds the cold gel pack to her welts, hissing at the sensation as she forces herself to lean into it. “I bet this was Hadie,” he grumbles, sifting through and throwing the tiny bandages into his other hand’s palm. “I thought Celia did it,” she mumbles, watching his hands intently, “You did piss her off something fierce last week.” Another chuckle falls from his lips, placing the tiny bandages and a large wrap bandage on the counter. “You need to hop on this counter and let me see what we’re working with.” She scoffs, popping her hip against his, “Who said this was a two person job?” The man tilts her head to him, taking in the swollen cheek and dried blood with a scowl. “I said. You don’t get to ‘strong independent woman’ this, you’re hurt, I’m helping. Now hop on the counter yourself or I’m putting you on it.”
She plants her feet, tilting her head as if to challenge the man. “I don’t need help. Didn’t need help getting hurt, don’t need help cleaning myself up.” His brow raises, stepping closer to her and dipping his head down so their noses touch, “You’ve done enough fighting today, haven’t you? And it looks like you lost to me, get on that counter.” “You haven’t seen the other guy,” she huffs, crossing her arms over her chest on instinct. A hiss follows directly after, the raw skin on her left arm slipping over her vest’s zipper in a way that felt like it was chewing the wound. “Uh huh,” he grabs her hand, pulling her injured arm to him. It wasn’t anywhere that he had to worry about. No major vessels in the way, the skin simply oozing blood instead of spurting it. That’s good, he was worried after he saw it on his own skin.
She doesn’t fight it when his hands wrap around her hips, lifting her like she weighed nothing and setting her on the bathroom counter. “I am making sushi out of that fool.” He doesn’t intend for her to hear him but the giggle she lets out is comforting all the same. “And you have got to stop doing the opposite of what you think I want you to do just because you don’t want to listen to anyone else. You can’t keep doing shit like this, (Y/n). I’m going to end up losing you.” It makes the air around them heavy, Hades turning to the linen closet to grab a wash rag. She opens her mouth to respond, just to realize she didn’t have anything of substance to say. What could she say? You’re going to lose me anyway if we’re stuck here? He was immortal and she wasn’t. No way he didn’t lose her. You got me back the last time? Something told her that he wouldn’t like her reminding him she left him seventeen years ago. And she didn’t like the idea of being reminded that she’d get to go to the underworld before he’d ever be able to go back, separated for so long her soul might forget him. Instead she sighs, eyes locked on Hades’ every minor movement. He runs water over the rag and when it touches the aggravated skin on her arm; she nearly moans at the contact. The chill of it was so comforting, the gentle strokes he’s using keeping the normally exfoliating fabric as nothing more than a tickle against her skin. Tongue slightly poked out as he pulls the skin closer together, eyes cutting up to her every now and then to insure that he wasn’t hurting her. “Hold that.” She follows the order, too tired -or perhaps too relieved by his help- to argue. He places the little butterfly bandaids over the opened flesh in sets of two, six of the little things covering the cut total, before grabbing the wrap bandage from beside her. “That wasn’t as bad as I thought,” he mumbles, wrapping the gauze-like material around her, “Not too tight?” She shakes her head, “It’s fine.”
With her arm handled he turns to her face, touching her chin ever so slightly to turn her head from side to side. “I hated when she’d accidentally hit me with those slimey things back in highschool, can’t imagine how it felt to be hit with one on purpose.” She hums, watching him lift the now bloodied rag again. “Sucked.” He rolls his eyes, “Yeah? I bet it did, Princess.” The rag comes up to her nose, wiping blood away from her top lip. “At least it’s not broken, just bled a little.” She nods, nothing left to say as he raises the ice pack to her cheek again. “You’re definitely going to have some bruises on that cheek though. Lucky for you, I still think you’re hot when you’re all beat up.” Her eyes roll but there’s an adoring glow to her face that he doesn’t miss. “You have got to take care of yourself, (Y/n). I can’t lose you to something as silly as some fool’s attitude.” His face is soft, eyes locked on her as his hands settle on her thighs. She knows what to say this time though, leaning forward to press a quick peck to his lips that only hurts her a little bit. “I love you. Like, really really love you.” He hums, pulling her closer to him from her little perch on the counter. “I love you, idiot.”

D3 and A5 with Match for the not wip wednesday!
“Was this a mistake?” definitely-not-Inertia asks curiously, leaning in again, and Match shoves him back out of his lap with a forearm.
“Clearly, yes,” he says through gritted teeth. Impulse seems unconcerned and just drapes his arms over his forearm and hangs off it. Match is actually baffled enough to let him do it for a moment before yanking it back and dropping him.
“Ow,” Impulse says conversationally, though he barely even stumbled on the landing, and then zips around to his other side and leans in there instead, over the back of the couch he’s sitting on. “Okay, so you did think I was Thad, then?”
“You thought I was Superboy,” Match mutters sourly, glaring at the wall. Impulse squints assessingly at him through the bright yellow lenses of his mask, then tilts his head. Match feels like an idiot, but in his defense, it’s not like Inertia never wears that mask.
“Did I?” Impulse asks, and Match gets kissed one last time, too fast to either react to it or register the question before the other blurs away in a crackle of lightning speed.
. . . wait, what?

When Uma and Gil visited Harry for the first time post D3 aka officially meeting Harry's dad and snakes
Note: Thanks to @fandomsareforlife for helping me flesh out this mini story and the snake name :3
"Harry, there's no way in hell you actually live here!" Uma muttered as the trio stood in front of the Le Fay recidence.
"Oh really?" Harry grinned and knocked. "Daad! Father we're here!"
"JUST COME IN THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED!"
Uma and Gil looked at each other in shook, yup that was Captain Hook's voice no doubt.
Harry had close to no reaction as he opened the door and pulled his friends in. Both of them looking around in awe at how big and fancy everything was.
"Dad just finished sprucing up the place," Harry explained. "thank gods he has magic I would've never cleaned this by hand!"
"H-Harry..." Gil smiled nervously and moved closer to his friend. "D-don't freak out but ehrm... that thing is getting closer!"
Harry frowned and looked over where Gil was pointing, seeing a big snake slithering towards them.
"Oh hi there buddy!" Harry laughed and extended his arm for the snake to climb onto.
"WHY ARE YOU HOLDING IT?!"
"Hey!" Harry frowned. "Did I react like this when ye introduced me to the sharks?"
"No but-" Uma studied the snake. "That thing is venomous!"
"Only of he bites ye," Harry shrugged. "he won't unless ye piss him off!"
At that, as if the snake understood what Harry was saying it lightly hissed at Uma before rubbing it's head against Harry's chin
"Anyways... dinner won't be done for a bit... ye guys wanna see my room?"
"Can we meet your dad?" Gil asked carefully. "Where is he?"
"Probably in his office," Harry shrugged. "I'll send Jerry to see if he's busy or not!"
"Jerry?" Uma frowned.
"Him!" Harry pointed at the snake as it slithered up the stairs.
"You named the snake Jerry?"
"Not me," Harry sighed. "Dad's the one who named all the snakes in the house!"
"You have more snakes?!"
"Your dad is terrible at names for his pets," Uma snorted. "At least to he was better with his kids..."
"He wasn't," Harry laughed. "Father just didn't let him have a say!"
"Come on now Harry!"
All three kids turned around to see a man with dark blonde curly hair and deep brown eyes walk down the stairs.
"I think Monty would've been a lovely name for you!"
"Better than what ye wanted to name Harriet," Harry rolled his eyes playfully. "Captain, Gilly... meet my dad"
"Morgie Le Fay Hook at your service," He smiled and bowed. "my son talks about you two all the time!"
"DAD-"
"Is he lying son?" Hook smirked as he entered the room.
"So Harry..." Uma narrowed her eyes playfully. "When you talk about us... what do you say?"
"N-nothing special!" Harry sputtered and glared at his parents slightly.
"Cmon guys I'll show you my room!"
"Bye Captain Hook and.... Mr Hook!" Gil smiled brightly as Harry pulled him upstairs. "It was nice meeting you!"

27. Signs Your Suffering From PTSD - that I missed (Inc3st Edition)
So for me, I always thought PTSD was something soldiers and people who’ve experienced ‘real’ trauma got. I mean, I had also seen it in people from low income areas who had witnessed multiple of their friends/family/acquaintances d!e or be seriously hurt, so I was aware of the symptoms to an extent. Still.. I completely missed the signs in myself.
What Is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)?
According to NHS website, PTSD: is a mental health condition which is caused by distressing or disturbing events.
Due to my lack of experience I can’t speak on PTSD related to d3@th and or similar experiences, but I hear you, I see you, and I hold you in kindness. I will try my best to make things applicable to all types of tramua not just inc3st related.
Why The Inc3st Element Is Important.
The important difference of why this is inc3st related is the s3xual element of the flash backs. The flash backs can sometimes make you feel.. h0rny? Loooooooool I am sooooo childish, but s3x just makes me giggle, maybe it’s my inner child idk. But on a more serious note, the flashbacks are very distressing, most times physically disgusting and worse of all they’re with family members that we already have confusing & conflicting feelings for. The sexual element of the flash backs creates a lot of complexities in our minds and bodies. Because when you get them.. Do you indulge, ignore or avoid them? Because for most of us, the flashbacks are disturbing or disgusting but our bodies reacted in a way that makes us think we like it. But more on that another time.
PTSD Check List
Now finally, here are the PTSD Check List. Answer the questions if any of these have bothered you in the last week. According to my therapist, if you’ve scored higher than 7 you may have PTSD. I am not a doctor, seek actual medical advice.

Ok… Yes Maybe I Relate To Some Or Most Of The Points.. How Does Help Me?
For me, it’s like Alcohol Anonymous - the first step to healing is admitting it. When you admit you have something, you can then break it down and learn how to heal from it. Of course, there’s multiple things to break down, but well done for getting to the first step.
💗
Happy Healing

QS! (Questions series)
Part 13
Woah it’s been uhh.. 24 days?! Oh geez. I didn’t mean to forget about this, but I’m at least fully locked into school. I got my grade from a D to a B in the 3 weeks I’ve been gone. That’s a plus I guess?
Here’s a big one to hopefully make up for being gone! And posts might be a little spotty for a bit
Tw D3@th (death)
-Heroes death-
When a hero dies, who is the first to find out?
When and how is the public told?
Are there precautions on how the public is told?
Does the agency have anything to do with the funeral?
Does this change how the cause (for example if a villain killed them) is seen? (Maybe they’re more dangerous, or ranked higher)
Are memorials held/made for the hero?
-Villains death-
How is the body treated?
Does the public get to find out?
What is done with the body after everything?
How does the hero responsible seem like afterwords? (A killer, a hero?)
Are heroes punished for a villains death?
Are there any repercussions or restrictions on killing villains?
-Civilian deaths-
How are casualties handled?
Does the hero claim full responsibility, or do they not bat an eye for it?
Are casualties common, or hardly happen at all?
How does the public react about deaths?

Who gets worse in the entire Descendants franchise? Lonnie or Audrey? I’ve heard that Lonnie was ignored by the fandom, even Descendants instagram didn’t show her as much while Audrey was a broken girl.
Interesting question, and I'd say it depends on how you look at it. (Also, I'm talking about just the movies here, because watching the animated show or reading the books, those are separate choices, and most people will just watch the movies.)
On one hand, Lonnie is given the grace of having her microaggressions toward the VKs largely forgotten/ignored by the franchise, much like Jane, whereas Audrey's microaggressions are taken 100% seriously. On the other hand, they botched the cultural aspects of Lonnie's character on so many levels I'm not qualified to outline (like, her name, her wardrobe, etc.), and Audrey didn't get that axis of mistreatment.
In Lonnie's case, it was more like the series was cheerfully dismissive of her. The writing says, "We don't care about her internal life; she's here to move forward one story beat in the first movie and rehash the plot of Mulan in the second movie and then we're done with her." (Narratively, that is. Beyond that, she's there as continuity fanservice for people who like Mulan.) Lonnie finds out Ben has been captured. How does she react? She doesn't have any questions or concerns; she just wants to go with the VKs to save him so she can sword fight. Lonnie visits the Isle of the Lost. Wow, how would someone like her react to something like that? She doesn't. She gets there and she has a sword fight and she does a good job at the sword fight and she leaves, and Jay learns a lesson about how Auradon is sexist and really, thematically, the whole Lonnie thing was there as a way to have him acknowledge a good thing about his Isle heritage. In the first movie, she's there as the catalyst for the VKs to realize parents who love their kids treat them differently. In the second movie, she's there as a catalyst for Jay to realize that his upbringing had some positive aspects, too. (Granted, you could also make a real argument for Jay's arc in D2 being crafted around the idea "Lonnie but Mulan now" as an afterthought. Like, Lonnie is given more attention in that subplot than Jay is. But I think that's more symptomatic of the series never really knowing what to do with either of them.) But the writing likes her. Like, it doesn't care about her, but it likes her. She's treated like candy; they toss her in there as a treat.
The writing doesn't like Audrey, but it cares about Audrey. Her feelings get focus and have weight. She's not just there to do cool stuff or give focus to the protagonist's feelings or remind people of a good movie Disney made years before this one; she's a character with feelings and beliefs and experiences that are interrogated and explored. Not very well, but I'd say about as well as anyone's are. Like, how well do we know Mal? What does Mal believe in? What does Mal care about? What does Mal want? I would say we can answer those questions in about as much detail for Mal as we can for Audrey.
What does Lonnie want? Well, she wanted to join the R.O.A.R. team, and she did that now. I don't know what she wants now. What does she like? ...Cookies? Sword-fighting? What does she dislike? ...? Who is she close friends with? Who isn't she friends with? What, in the land of meticulously color-coded characters, is Lonnie's color?? Was she into R.O.A.R. in the first movie? She never seemed to be characterized as sporty until D2. She disappeared in D3. Why did she have that haircut if she didn't like it?? Lonnie is not insecure and does not have a strained relationship with her mother like Jane, so why does she have so little agency in her appearance? On a day to day basis, what do we expect Lonnie to habitually do? Well, she's captain of the R.O.A.R. team now, as of the end of the last movie she appears in, so...probably that. (In comparison, we know that Jane organizes school/kingdom events and sometimes delivers messages to her mother. We know Evie has a lucrative design business. We know that Audrey is a cheerleader and has been since before we met her, we know Audrey hangs out with Chad between classes, we know she's close to Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.) That's the thing, is that we have little details of Lonnie that we can use to craft her character if we want to, but it's work the filmmakers didn't care to do. We know that Lonnie has a good relationship with her mom, we know that she likes and is good at sword fighting, we know that she's generally positive and energetic, and we know that she used to have a haircut she didn't like. I can't visualize a day in the life of Lonnie based on that; I would have to use my imagination and make up new things about her.
So, Audrey is a character who is treated spitefully by the writing, but she is a character who is allowed to feel and express feelings that are informed by her own wants, beliefs, and experiences. Lonnie cries in the first movie because she finds out the VKs' parents are neglectful, then in D2 she doesn't blink an eye when she goes to the actual island where villains and their kids live in squalor. Why? Because it's not plot-relevant for her to care, so she doesn't.

I was rewatching D2 and saw that Evie had said none of the C4 was too popular on the Isle and it just leads to more confusion on how they even ended up becoming the saviors of the Isle in D3. I would've loved to see how the OG Isle that hated them for turning their backs on evil would've reacted to them being okay at the end of D3 (right before the engagement party) with Mal closing the barrier forever and really only seemed mad because she had lied to them about it.
#headcannon#it's because they had to ass lick the c4 on applications to get off the isle#so dumb#because the c4 themselves did not have to apply or dickride ben so why do the kids have to dickride people they most likely hated#and im pretty sure in one of the books that vk day was created because barely any isle kids were actually applying to get off#descendants#disney descendants#descendants critical#anti c4#anti descendants c4

Idk if you know, but there's lots of people defending Mal with her actions and in a way bashing Uma for the same thing that Mal did but she is doing it so that she can free the vks. But majority say that Beast is the real villain and not Mal or Uma, though they're still very wrong.
What do you think?
That its stupid to call Beast the real villain. Idiot? Yes. But the real villain? Give me a break. He's literally just a plot device in this franchise that basically became the Mal show and once his job was done, he's just like the other characters: there to support Mal and nothing else.
The film's only used him to establish who was a, in charge of this kingdom and whose kid is taking over afterwards and b, to show who established the Isle. That's it. You could literally replace him in that plot with any other royal character and nothing would change. That's how loose the writing is.
If he was the real villain, he'd be doing more, but he isn't- he's just there in the end by third film to the point he just, fucking disappears with Belle during the whole Audrey thing, with us just assuming they got turned to stone or put to sleep. If he was the real villain and trust me I think its stupid, but you know what I think that scenario would be? He'd either be a secret manipulator over the three films, waiting for the right time to prove how right he was about the Isle and maybe even try to take power back from Ben cause clearly Ben's not fit to rule, or he'd just be under another curse that's affected how he acts and shit. But he is neither of these situations, and therefore, its stupid.
And before anyone says, "But Megan, the council meeting-" that was ALLLL Mal. Beast didn't have to say crap to Mal to get Mal to instantly suggest closing the barrier forever. If anything, Belle's the one to ask Mal what do they do. Where's my villain Belle posts by this logic about how she pressured Mal and shit? ...Don't actually do that. Beast literally stood by as Mal without hesitation, suggested closing down the barrier forever, maybe tried to say stuff to Ben, but Mal was the one who basically cornered Ben into agreeing to it. And I'm sorry, but given how batshit the idea was to just, bring down the barrier and free even the villains, I'm almost with Beast in his reaction in that scene because holy shit, it was just the villain kids that needed freedom, not the villains! Did everyone just forget how Maleficent acted when free?! If they had just specified they were going to free all the villain kids and Beast still reacted like that, I'd get the hate, but no, Mal's just like, "Time to bring the barrier down and free even the villains-"
And just...don't get me started on the Mal and Uma thing- its already such bullshit the films act like its fine Mal did a love potion while its evil if Uma does it, since Uma only did it as apart of her plan to free the VKs while Mal technically originally did it as apart of her plan to steal the wand...but we know how that went, with Mal never telling Ben the truth about the love spell and suffering zero consequences to the point its viewed as okay when she says she did the love spell at her graduation in Escape From The Isle Of The Lost. To say this kingdom is full of hypocrites is an understatement. But this franchise basically encouraged this thinking really, with the idea that Uma is somehow the villain of D2 when some of her anger is still directed at Mal for what Mal did to her when younger and yet Mal is never made to face those actions, with her not even acknowledging it when 'apologizing' to Uma in D3. Like she maybe only acknowledges her actions towards Audrey if anything, but never Uma.
#disney descendants#descendants#descendants 2#descendants 3#the real villain of this franchise if anything is bad writing#like i jokingly call mal it#but in reality its just bad writing whose the true villain

When you're finished with Fates gift will you write your own version of D2 and then a react book for your D2 Version (for example: what the descendants fanfiction Author Ginnyrules27 does) or will you just make another react book for D2.
Kind of! I have five stories planned. The next one will be in between Fate's Gift and D2, then D2, another in between, D3, and one after. I want to show the changes and take my own spin on what leads to the movie events.

Let’s think about this…
Part of me wonders (thanks to a wonderful person on Twitter) if Deuce’s mum was in a teen pregnancy and had her son at a young age which is why she had struggles in his upbringing so much so that Deuce seems to have viewed her more as a friend than a figure of authority. As the original poster said, it took his mum crying to his grandmother for him to fully understand and grasp all that she has done for him. That is what drove him to wanting to do better- to be better for his mother who has already done so much for him and will continue to go above and beyond for him.
I can see Mama Spade being a very young mum, even though Disney may not go the teen pregnancy route it is still up for speculation and theorizing. However I would like to note that TWST in general has been very open to tossing in many real-world sensitive topics like 3ating D1sorders, body dysph0ria, child a*buse, and even the concept of d3@th and racism many view as taboo topics- understandably so. So to me personally adding the concept of teenage pregnancy would make sense seeing as so many real life situations and scenarios have already played out in the story.
We even covered the topic of how some children react to the “you are adopted” situation in Silver’s SSR Birthday Boy card and how difficult it can be to understand that concept at a young age. We covered situations where stereotyping and typecasting children as “bad guys” can lead to misunderstandings and various issues in the future with Vil. Childhood poverty with Ruggie and racism with Sebek… the list can go on! These sensitive topics are very much present in the story which leads me to believe that TWST will continue to add such topics in hopes to bring real-world situations to light through the power of storytelling.
The Netflix series 13 Reasons Why was an excellent example of how sensitive topics can be brought to light through the power of storytelling- this is just one example of course but I am certain you get where I am going.
What are your thoughts~?

What’s Jeno’s morning routine like? How does his need for control permeate into his daily routine?
(college era)
⏰ wake up: before the alarm
jeno rarely needs an alarm. he wakes between 5:45 and 6:10 a.m., always in that same window.
it’s not natural. it’s trained. his body is used to bracing for the day — even in his sleep, he’s preparing.
he sits up without hesitation. no snoozing, no scrolling, no lying still. the room stays dim, curtains still drawn, but he moves like the day’s already started.
the first thing he does is fix the bed. tight corners. pillows fluffed. blanket aligned with the edge of the mattress. if it’s not right, he’ll redo it. always.
🚿 bathroom: cleanse, contain, reset
cold shower first. he tells people it’s for muscle recovery, but the truth is he doesn’t trust warm water when he’s got things to prove.
body wash is unscented, shampoo is medicated, razor blades always fresh. his towel is hung symmetrically and he folds it again once he’s done — once horizontally, once vertically.
his toothbrush sits in a charging cradle, never loose, and the toothpaste is squeezed from the bottom like he’s terrified of waste.
no mirror selfies. he doesn’t look in the mirror — he scans. checks for puffiness, blemishes, uneven skin tone. no flaws allowed to linger.
👕 outfit: function first, control second
jeno doesn’t believe in throwing something on. his clothes are pre-stacked the night before — each layer laid out in order of wear.
if it’s a game day:
fitted undershirt
ravens jersey
game jacket rolled and tucked into his bag (always packed the night before)
compression socks — left foot first
if it’s class or a meeting:
pressed button-down
tailored pants with crease aligned
shoes wiped down with a microfiber cloth, soles checked for debris
he never wears patterns unless they’re team-issued. color = distraction. his control = in the uniformity.
☕ breakfast: no fuss, no variance
exact same breakfast every weekday:
two eggs (boiled, no salt)
half a banana
protein shake with almond milk, no sweetener
vitamins taken in a strict order: d3, omega-3, magnesium
everything is placed on a cloth napkin, not the table. he hates crumbs, hates noise.
he eats standing up when he’s running drills in his head. sometimes forgets the second half of the banana. doesn’t notice. doesn’t care.
🎧 mental warm-up: same playlist, same path
the playlist never changes. it’s six songs he’s listened to every morning since freshman year. he doesn’t even like one of them anymore — but it’s part of the ritual.
he brushes his hair with his headphones in, never out of sync. four brushes each side, then back, then forward.
if he walks to campus, he takes the exact same path, crosses at the same light, avoids one specific crack in the pavement near the quad entrance.
if he drives:
mirrors adjusted before ignition
window down 3 inches
seatbelt click before reverse
no music until the second traffic light
🕶 final checks: armour on
before he leaves the dorm, he:
applies lip balm (twice)
sprays cologne once at the neck, once on his wrist — never over his shirt
wipes his phone screen with a microfiber cloth
locks the door, checks the handle three times to confirm
his last glance in the mirror isn’t for looks — it’s for readiness. no creases, no distractions, no visible tells. just the face he needs the world to see. calm. unreadable. clean.
✖️ if something disrupts him
he doesn’t yell. he doesn’t spiral. but his body reacts first. tighter grip on the towel. jaw clenched while brushing his teeth.
if something spills, he overcorrects — wipes the whole counter even if it was just a drop.
he’ll leave five minutes earlier than necessary just to feel ahead.
if y/n interrupts him — accidentally knocks the water bottle off the table or tugs his hoodie when he’s in the zone — he’ll flinch at first. eyes narrow. breath held. but if she touches his waist or says his name softly, jeno, he’ll pause. kiss her forehead. adjust. for her, he’ll adapt.

Data Visualization Developers vs. Data Analysts: Who Should You Hire for Your Project?

Data is merely numbers unless it’s understood and used as insights to yield fruitful results. In the present business context, visualizing complex information has become just as important as collecting it. As more and more tech companies are making data-driven decisions, one key question that often comes up is: should you hire data analysts or data visualization developers for your next project?
While both roles deal with data, their focus, skills, and value to your project are very different. An understanding of these differences can help you make the right hiring decisions. Let’s take a closer look at these.
Choosing the Right Expert to Turn Data Into Actionable Insights
What Data Visualization Developers Bring to the Table
When you hire data visualization developers you are bringing on professionals who specialize in transforming unprocessed datasets into interactive dashboards, reports, and visual narratives. They design and develop visual solutions that enable businesses to swiftly recognize patterns, trends, and opportunities using frameworks like D3.js, Tableau, Power BI, and JavaScript libraries.
A data visualization developer is the best option whether your project calls for creating a unique dashboard, interactive data apps, or graphic elements for a bigger platform. In order to create mobile-friendly data visualizations as part of their solution, many tech organizations who require strong front-end capabilities even pair this hire with an Indian react native developer.
Data visualization developers typically work on the following tasks:
Creating dynamic maps, graphs, and charts.
Including live updating systems and data APIs.
Making sure the visualizations are mobile-friendly and responsive.
Working together to improve the user experience with UX/UI teams.
When You Should Hire Data Analysts
Hire data analysts if you need someone to examine, clean, and understand data instead of creating visual aids. Finding trends, mining insights, and responding to business enquiries are the main goals of analysts. For data manipulation and report generation, they frequently utilize SQL, Excel, R, or Python.
When should you hire a data analyst?
You require performance summaries or monthly reports.
You're looking for hidden trends and correlations in the data.
Dashboards are not enough for your team; they also need actionable business insights.
The project doesn't need a lot of development effort because it is experimental.
When making strategic decisions based on operational indicators, client behaviour, or historical performance, a competent data analyst is crucial.
How About Hiring a Data Scientist?
If the project calls for sophisticated statistical techniques, machine learning models, or predictive analytics, you might want to hire data scientists. More in-depth than data analysts, data scientists frequently develop models that predict future events.
However, concentrating on data visualization talent is frequently the wiser course of action if your immediate objective is to display data to stakeholders, clients, or teams in an engaging, interactive manner.
Final Considerations for Tech Companies
A mix of jobs can even be needed for some projects. For example, you could engage data analysts to provide the clean, usable data, hire software developers to build the platform, and data visualization developers to provide the interactive parts.
Clarity regarding the project's scope, customer requirements, and data sources can help expanding IT organizations decide whether to put more emphasis on analytical or visualization skills first.
Final Thoughts
The objectives of your project will determine whether you should hire a data analyst or a data visualization developer. Hire data visualization developers if you require eye-catching, engaging, and useful visual representations of your data. If your primary concentration is on reporting and gaining insights, a data analyst will be more suitable.
In any case, hiring the proper specialist guarantees that your data is used to inform wise decisions and actual business expansion rather than being left useless.
