No-Spoilers Review #14: Superwomen in Love! Honey Trap & Rapid Rabbit (Hero-san to Moto Onna Kanbu-san)
Content Warnings: uhhhh I don't remember not gonna lie!!!!! I think there's a tragic child fatality in here though
A combination that's pretty weird, but works surprisingly well. Superwomen in Love! (or otherwise known as Hero-san and Former General-san) is a yuri manga by sometime. It has a very strong tokusatsu theme. A general of the evil organization falls in love with the hero and is immediately fired.
Is it good? Yeah! The tokusatsu detailing on the characters' designs is honestly incredible, and there's pretty good comedy throughout, so it's a pretty good time.
Tumblr media
The leader of the general is named Honey Trap and the hero's name is Rapid Rabbit, though her real name is Honjou Hayate. After being unceremoniously fired from her job as a general of the alien Antinoids, Honey Trap is taken in and supported by Hayate.
Tumblr media
Generally, the series is light-hearted and fun, never taking itself too seriously. As a person who hasn't watched more than one or two episodes of anything tokusatsu, you don't need to know anything about the genre to enjoy the series--Just a passing knowledge of what Power Rangers look like is more than enough.
More often than not the comedy lands as it's supposed to, and the support between Honey and Hayate is nice.
My favorite character is sadly the one that appears the least: An Antinoid general named Cool Down.
Tumblr media
So true. It's a perfect day for yuri.
Final Thoughts:
An overall solid comedy yuri manga with a very unique genre twist. It's a general crowd-pleaser full of goofy characters that suit the over-the-top (campy?) tone of the story and its visuals. Also the art is honestly really good in general. It's definitely tropey and cheesy, but I mean... come on. Look at it.

[ UNPROMPTED | ALWAYS ACCEPTING ]
@viciousvizard asked:
Leaves him a sleepy voice message because she misses him. “Hey Shinji. I miss you. Hope yer gonna wake up and take it easy… it’s been a long few months without ya. I’m getting there. Eating the snacks ya brought. I’m meditating today but I couldn’t concentrate. Did ya know… there’s a girl who is into ya? One of the Quincy? Send me her file… I honestly forgot about all the Quincy…. She got black hair. Cute. Uhhh, looks a bit yandere? Anyway… that’s all in wanted’a say. I love you.”
He is already seated behind his desk when the voice message came in. They have been conducting emergency response drills more often lately in the wake of the Quincy invasion, and of course the best time to do so is when most of the squad is still asleep and not anticipating said drills. The chaotic session has just concluded and his seated officers are filing out in the wake of the after action review...so that leaves Shinji some spare time to play the message-
Tumblr media
The sound of her husky, post-sleep voice floating through his empty office immediately softens his previously exasperated demeanor. He settles onto his chair more, just enjoying the short audio clip with her familiar cadence and tone, as she speaks briefly of her day so far. He tries to picture her back in that little apartment of hers, wispy blond hair down, small frame almost swallowed up in her comfy pajamas, still blinking the last traces of sleep from her big, feline eyes- Just thinking of the warm, cozy imagery is already putting him in a much better mood. His brow furrows at some part of her dialogue...and he plays the clip a few more times, just listening intently to her voice and subtle nuances of her mood...before he attempts to record his reply.
One long, lean thumb taps and holds onto the microphone icon, and he brings the phone closer to his mouth. “ Mornin’. Did ya sleep well last night? I love the sound of yer voice when yer just wakin’ up, have I told ya that before? It’s really adorable. ” He wonders if she can hear the tenderness in his tone. He hopes it can envelop her just like how he wishes to, right now.
“ I was up real early ‘ta conduct some rapid response drills with the squad. Yer message came in just as I’m done, and let’s just say some of the new recruits are gonna be spendin' their off days on latrine duty. Anyway... Are ya runnin’ outta snacks soon? What are ya cravin', I will bring over some the next time I visit. ” He thinks about the recent spate of events that has been occurring all around him, and his tone grows serious. “ Yeah. I got a good idea who yer referrin’ to. That Quincy girl, has she been botherin’ you? ” He thinks Hiyori sounds on edge in the audio clip...and worried. His tone softens even more, seeking to soothe her unease.
“ That girl’s not ‘into’ me the way ya think, Hiyori. But let’s talk more when I call ya later; don’t want ya gettin’ any wrong ideas. I love you, too. I miss you, too. Dearly. Yer the cutest ‘ta me, y’know that, right? Talk ‘ta ya soon. And don’t just eat snacks, have a proper meal, too. I’ll be waitin’ for yer breakfast selfie- ”

Complex, January 24, 2012
Forget what you've heard and listen to the music. Lana Del Rey is a sweet girl with a radiant voice and maybe a demon or two. Her debut album is called Born to Die, but Lana’s just trying to live. Haters, fall back.
Hers was a dramatic setup.
White balloons flashing corroded cartoon clips and ghostly images of President John F. Kennedy—all set to the creepy strains of Bernard Herrmann’s Psycho theme. The fans kept coming through the door, filling New York’s Bowery Ballroom to capacity. The band stood at attention, poised for action as Lana Del Rey strolled on stage to squeals and whistles. Dressed in a summery white dress, gold belt, and low white Chuck Taylors, the tall red-haired singer looked more like she was ready to grab an ice-cream sandwich from Mr. Softee than perform her first proper concert in NYC.
The microphone worked, but the band’s sound failed. So she stood and waited.
“Where’s the music?” an impatient fan blurted out.
“It’s coming, bitch,” Lana snapped in a playfully bratty way. “Fucking technical difficulties up here.”
Moments later she launched into “Without You,” a wrenching, never-before-heard album cut from Born to Die, her highly anticipated major-label debut, due to be released on Interscope Records January 31. Rising to the occasion, she sounded ever more radiant as she ran through the spellbinding web hits “Video Games” and “Blue Jeans.”
As strong as her videos may be, with Lana it’s mostly the voice. Her haunting tones and evocative lyrics strike some powerful chords, but she doesn’t do much on stage besides sing. “My real fans know I’m not a showstopper on stage,” she’ll explain later. “I don’t have fucking circus lights. I just don’t care. My fans are there because they want to hear the record live. Everyone else is just there to see what happens.”
That “everyone else” would be Lana's infamous Internet audience—the folks who watch her clips over and over and then fill comment sections with snarky remarks about her lips, her hair, and all the personal business she puts into her music.
The press jumped on the bandwagon, dogging Lana even as they rode the wave of her rapid rise to stardom. Most reviews of her Bowery Ballroom show mistook her sarcastic banter for shrill scolding. Between songs Lana seemed emotionally naked, somewhere between self-effacing and insecure. Her nerves never showed during a song, but when the music stopped it was another story. Critics focused on that uneasiness.
“Shut up, shut up,” she said when the crowd’s applause seemed to last too long, as if unwilling to let the cheers wash over her.
“Lana, I love you,” screamed a fan, pronouncing her name wrong. “It’s Lon-ah,” she corrected, sounding like a girl telling a guy to slow down on the first date. “You keep telling me you love me and you don’t even know me.”
After the show, while she was greeting Interscope execs and staff, Lana was asked whether her “Aw shucks” persona was tongue in cheek. Did she really feel like the performance wasn’t worthy of all the love she got? “If I was dope I wouldn’t have said, ‘Shut up,’” she answered flatly. Of all the critics the singer has to please, none is tougher than she is on herself.
Lana’s knockout combination of looks and talent must be a tough pill for haters to swallow. Why else would so many anonymous ’Net gangsters have bashed the 25-year-old singer’s powerful albeit minimal output?
It’s been just six months since Del Rey (née Lizzy Grant) let off the shot heard ’round the World Wide Web. The homemade video for her beautiful if slightly eerie single “Video Games” is a dusty collage of clips that she nabbed from YouTube—washed-out home movies, blooming rosebuds, plus a few woozy glimpses of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire vixen Paz de la Huerta—spliced with footage of Lana crooning in a lonely hallway or cruising on a moped. The whole thing made for a bittersweet mood piece with astonishing emotional impact.
Even more surprising is how quickly it made her a hot commodity. As of press time, “Video Games” had been viewed over 13 million times on YouTube. Its follow-up, “Blue Jeans,” has racked up another 4 million views. Her debut single topped the iTunes chart in 10 different countries. But as with most Internet phenomena, the backlash was swift.
The theory appears to be: Chop down Lana’s glowing amber hair, which streams well past her shoulders. Wipe off her makeup. Oh, and deflate her heavily ogled (and much discussed) lips—pouty even when they’re not puckered. All that remains is an average-looking girl who can’t sing. Right?
Wrong. Dig if you will the picture of Del Rey nestled in producer Emile Haynie’s candlelit Manhattan recording studio on a chilly December evening. She wears a simple tan coat, Velcro-fastened Yankees cap over ponytailed hair, worn pearl flats, and a matching knit sweater. The makeup’s off, too—and she’s still a cutie.
More important is what’s coming from the giant studio monitors as Lana and Haynie—the Kid Cudi collaborator who co-produced the beat for Kanye West’s “Runaway” and is executive producing Born to Die—give an exclusive preview of the new album. Lana belts along with the aching vocals emanating from the speakers, her tone sounding every bit as rich and pure as the record. Homegirl can sing her ass off.
It's not exactly a surprise, though. After she mesmerized that live audience just a week earlier, it was already clear what her voice could do. The show was an unqualified success, save for a few journalists who must have been watching an entirely different performance—not that she read any of their reviews.
“I’m pretty much switched off from it,” Lana says between puffs of a cigarette. “What other people have been saying doesn’t have anything to do with me because I never gave any long interviews to anyone. Ever. Everything is basically fiction.”
An air of mystery has surrounded Del Rey from jump, leaving folks free to fill in the blanks with wild speculation. Tonight is the first time any reporter has gotten a chance to hang with her long enough to cut through the fog and get a decent understanding of who the hell she is. “If you don’t know me,” she adds offhandedly, “you don’t know anything.”
She was born Elizabeth Grant, a small-town girl from Lake Placid, New York. The oldest of three, she sang in church as a child, in the choir during high school, and dropped out of Fordham University as a teen to pursue a career in music. Veteran producer David Kahne (Paul McCartney, The Strokes) was the first industry guy to believe in her. Unfortunately, the independent project they released through iTunes in early 2010 is no longer available for purchase. “I always knew there was something there. It just wasn’t commercial. Regardless, I knew I was going to do my thing.”
The false start wasn’t a crushing blow since music has never been Lana’s reason for living. “It wasn’t sing or die,” she says. “I was also passionate about my community. I felt like I could have gone in several different directions.”
One of those possible directions might have led to a career in social work. While living in NYC, Lana says she worked with people who are “fucked up in the head" helping them get their lives together, get jobs, and "transition into being normal, functional members of society.”
Her interest in people's mental health was no coincidence. “I think it was because the way my head was when I was younger,” she explains. “I was dealing with a lot of emotional turmoil. So I understood what it's like to be at war with yourself.”
Since her 2010 album failure, Lana has switched up her style a bit. The former bleach blonde has gone red. That combined with the name change has led some to question her authenticity. “This whole thing about her name is absolutely insane,” says her manager, Ben Mawson. “David Bowie, Elton John, Bob Dylan, and Lady Gaga are not using their real names. Why is she being picked on? She came up with the name herself. She had three Myspace pages. One was Lizzy Grant, one was Lana Del Ray, another was Lana Del Rey with an ‘E.’ I was like, ‘You can’t have three—decide!’” After three months she settled on Lana Del Rey. “It makes me laugh,” Mawson adds. “I’ve represented 60 to 70 artists and I’ve never gotten more of the real deal than I’ve gotten from her. She’s absolutely a self creation. I guess it’s sort of a weird compliment because she appears to be so perfect. People can’t believe it’s true.”
Lana herself didn’t waste any time refuting the naysayers. She was too busy fielding label bids. Interscope Chairman Jimmy Iovine got her, but Lana is nobody’s prefab pop star. She’s the one driving her career.
“If you consider the definition of authenticity,” Lana says, “it’s saying something and actually doing it. I write my own songs. I made my own videos. I pick my producers. Nothing goes out without my permission. It’s all authentic.” Web-savvy skeptics can check for themselves. Lana’s older songs aren’t too hard to find. And there hasn’t been much of a transformation from her early work to now—just progression toward a more orchestral feel.
“Why would it be a different thing?” she asks, sounding genuinely confused. “I never changed my sound. I never stopped writing about what was actually going on in my life. There’s nothing to hide.”
But she does keep quiet about some portions of her life. All her singles to date revolve around affairs of the heart—specifically, drowning in and even dying for love. Lana’s music would make a perfect soundtrack for the scene where the girl is dumped by her man and, pistol to skull, decides life isn’t worth living anymore.
The video for her latest single, “Born to Die,” was shot in Paris by Yoann “Woodkid” Lemoine, who directed Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” and Taylor Swift’s “Back to December.” It starts with castle gates swinging open to reveal Lana seated on a throne—with tigers reclining to her left and right. (Kanye West tweeted the stunning image soon after the video dropped.) Lana’s expression is somewhere between pissed and heartbroken. What follows is a compulsive affair that leads to fiery explosions and, yeah, bloody death.
Lemoine and Lana became friends after he saw the first version of “Video Games” in the spring. “She naturally has a lot of drama coming out of her,” the French-born director says. “When you work with her, you get trapped in a twister of comments and reactions from people who are so intense about her.”
But if you think her fans have an intense relationship with Lana, imagine her old boyfriend. She confirms that the inspiration behind many of her songs comes from a wonderful long-term relationship that turned ugly. “We were both living life on the straight and narrow when we met,” Lana says. “And two years into it, I didn’t know it, but he was off doing other things that he got in trouble for.” Whether those “other things” included infidelity, a Scarface-like drug operation, or some white-collar Madoff stuff, she won’t reveal out of respect for her ex.
Was he perhaps the kind of guy she might have been helping if she became a mental-health social worker? “Exactly,” Lana affirms with a nod. “You get to a point where you run out of everything. You’ve gone through everyone. You have no money, you’ve done everything you could do. The last thing you can do is start over.”
Suddenly Lana apologizes for being a downer. “Sorry, this is really fucking depressing,” she says to Haynie.
“It’s actually interesting,” he replies. “I just heard ‘Blue Jeans’ kind of manifest itself. I never knew that.”
They may still be getting to know each other, but the pair make beautiful music together. As their works-in-progress blare, they frequently lean together to exchange ideas. Haynie says he knew they’d be a good fit when they first met months ago.
“What excited me was playing different ideas and seeing what would make her face light up,” he says. “I thought, ‘She likes the shit I like.’ She likes the hard, yet beautiful stuff. That’s when I thought we could do something special.”
“Emile knew that there was a heavier, more street side that needed to be brought out,” she says. “He knows that I'm interested in the gorgeous side of life, but also familiar with the dark side, too.” Lana also happens to be a big rap fan who’s been in touch with A$AP Rocky about a possible collaboration. But her love of hip-hop reaches back beyond last fall. “Eminem is sick and unbeatable,” Lana says when asked to name her favorite rappers. “50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Biggie Smalls—the way he talked stuff out was inspiring to me. It made me feel like music could be autobiographical and more of an art form than just rhyming over sugary chords.” There is an unmistakable hip-hop swagger to Born to Die. It knocks like a rap album, and careful listeners will notice that Lana delivers some lines as if she’s spitting rhymes. “You’re so fresh to death,” she sings at one point, “and sick as ca-cancer.”
As the music plays, the lyrics set her mind adrift. “I know what it means to meet someone who's fucking fresh to death,” she says, as if daydreaming about him now. But Born to Die isn’t just a long trip through the swampy parts of the heart. There’s joy in there, too—like on “Off to the Races” when she coos “You are my one true love.” Swathed in strings, her voice runs sweet as wildflower honey.
“When I found somebody who I fell in love with, it made me feel different than I felt the rest of the day,” she reveals. “It was electrifying. That’s what inspired the ‘Off to the Races’ melodies. That’s one of the times when you’re feeling electrified by someone else and they make you happy to be alive.”
“Lolita” is another cut that finds Lana under love’s spell, despite her friends’ worries about the relationship. “I don’t care what they say about me,” she sings defiantly. “You make me happy.” If all goes as planned, a snatch of dialogue from the 1976 film Taxi Driver will start the track off (the Martin Scorsese classic was playing on the studio’s massive flat-screen while they recorded it). Specifically, Lana wants to include the part where Robert De Niro’s Travis Bickle urges Iris, the 12-year-old prostitute played by Jodie Foster, to stop selling herself on the street.
Lana may have pulled from some murky places in her psyche, but she’s not about to let anyone play psychologist. She does, however, suggest that she needed some counseling as a teen.
“I went through different experiences when I was younger,” she says. “I know how to go from being a non-functioning member of society to a functioning one.” These days she seems totally normal, but eight years ago—not so much. “I was crazy,” she says. “I won’t go into it. It’s not helpful to know.” Lana’s laughing now, but they’re nervous chuckles. “I was just reckless,” she adds. “But that was a long time ago. Being human is difficult. Some people make it more difficult than others. I was one of those people.”
Now Lana’s in a better place, one that Ben Mawson helped guide her to. Her English-born lawyer and manager first met Lana two years ago while visiting New York for CMJ week, and watched her perform as a favor to Princess Superstar, another artist he handles. Mawson encouraged Lana to fly to London and helped get her UK record deal with Polydor. He goes hard for Lana because he truly believes in her potential.
“She’s the middle ground between Adele and Lady Gaga,” Mawson proclaims, but both those artists sell loads of records and pack out venues across the globe, which doesn’t exactly fall in line with Lana’s plans. “That’s his ambition,” says Lana, who would be OK with a gold album—but swears she could care less about platinum status. As for extensive touring, don’t count on it.
“My touring agents already know,” she says with a laugh. “I’m tired like that.”
So what does Lana want? Her goal is pretty simple: “I have a personal ambition to live my life honestly and honor the true love that I’ve had and also the people I’ve had around me. I want to stay hopeful, even though I get scared about why we’re even alive at all.”
But she’s got plenty of reasons to stick around. Her music’s taken her from singing in bars in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to getting love from everybody from Anna Wintour to The Weeknd. And like it or not, her schedule is about to get nutty. In the morning she’s hopping on a flight to China to perform at an event for Christian Dior. She doesn’t plan on packing much. Lana will be dressed by the luxury brand and then turn right around and head back to the States when it’s over.
This is Lana Del Rey’s life right now. The world is at her feet, whether they’re in Chucks or stilettos. She is stunning, may or may not have a few screws loose, loves dropping F-bombs, and, above all, is talented as fuck.
As the evening wraps up and the last tracks are played, it’s tough to tell what note Born to Die will close on. The album is a sexy, bass-thumping ride with glamorous retro nods to curvy, cat-eyed ’60s stars like Nancy Sinatra. Like the artist herself, this record is a trip.
“It’s a happy ending,” Lana assures. “It was a happy ending a long time ago. It was a happy ending when I found peace with myself. This is the good life. What a gift.”
Haters will just have to deal with it.

Week 7 - How the media can affect your body and health
With the rapid and constant development of technologies and beauty standards, it is no surprise that online/real-life body modification has received some significant attention in recent years. Both online platforms and the pharmaceutical industry have allowed consumers to transform their bodies in the way that could help them gain attention.
Body modification is the activity of uploading and promoting different modifications to the human body on sites including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. It includes a wide range of purposeful changes, which include tattoos, piercings, scarification, hair coloring, body painting, cosmetic procedures, and even more extreme alterations such as implants or removing certain body parts. Body alteration could possibly be done digitally using Photoshop applications. Through an app, people may change their look by adjusting their physical form, size, skin tone, facial characteristics, or adding accessories such as tattoos and piercings.
If we look at social media nowadays, we'll see that most of the influencers and celebrities we know and love frequently edit their photos before publishing them. Social media lacks reality because it allows users to digitally manipulate photographs by applying filters or lowering body weight (McGovern et al., 2022).
Aside from having negative effects on our bodies, changing bodily parts may also have an impact on our mental health and lead to physical disorders. Mental health is critical for everyone; however, modifying our bodies may sometimes alter how we feel about ourselves since, rather than feeling good about ourselves, we are left with additional anxieties, which can lead to harmful behavior and medical attention. Why do we still feel uneasy when we make those changes? We are still uneasy since altering our body image and look does not compensate for the reality that our self-esteem, no matter what we do, is lost if we never sought it in the first place. You may have developed poor self-esteem as a result of the obvious differences you notice in others, and this might have an impact on your identity (Diamond, 2021).
In conclusion, we are able to see that body modification is utilized not only to appear a specific way, but also to create a perspective of how you should look and what you need to do in order to be like everyone else. We must recognize that body alteration is being employed for cosmetic and sexual purposes, which has influenced society to believe that it is acceptable. It's crucial to keep in mind that everyone is designed to be unique.

Trustpilot Review Removal for E-commerce: Navigating the Changing Landscape
In the digital age, the reputation of an e-commerce business can make or break its success. Online reviews and ratings have become powerful tools for customers to assess the trustworthiness and quality of products and services. Trustpilot, one of the most prominent review platforms, has gained popularity as a trusted source for consumer feedback. However, the rise of fake reviews and negative comments has made it increasingly challenging for e-commerce businesses to maintain a stellar online reputation. In this article, we will explore the evolving landscape of trustpilot fake reviews, focusing on two critical aspects: the issue of fake reviews and effective strategies for responding to negative feedback.
The Pervasive Problem of Fake Reviews
Fake reviews have become a significant concern for e-commerce businesses and review platforms like Trustpilot. These reviews can be posted by competitors, disgruntled customers, or even automated bots, aiming to manipulate a company's reputation. The presence of fake reviews undermines the credibility of online platforms, making it essential for businesses to address this issue promptly and effectively.
Identifying Fake Reviews
To address the problem of fake reviews on Trustpilot, the first step is to be able to identify them accurately. Here are some common indicators of fake reviews:
a. Generic Language: Fake reviews often use generic, repetitive language that lacks specific details about the product or service. b. Overuse of Positive or Negative Words: Extremes like "the best ever" or "the worst experience" can be a sign of inauthenticity. c. Rapid Posting: Multiple reviews posted in quick succession from new or anonymous accounts can raise suspicion. d. Overly Positive/Negative Tone: Excessive praise or criticism without constructive feedback is often a red flag.
Reporting Fake Reviews
Trustpilot has mechanisms in place to report fake reviews. To report a review, log in to your Trustpilot business account, find the review in question, and click the "Flag" button. Provide detailed information about why you believe the review is fake and submit your report.
Building Trust with Authentic Reviews
To counter fake reviews, it's crucial to encourage genuine customers to leave reviews on your Trustpilot profile. Authentic, positive reviews from real customers can help balance the impact of fake or negative feedback. Make sure to ask customers for their honest opinions after they have had a genuine experience with your e-commerce store.
Responding to Negative Reviews on Trustpilot
Negative reviews are an inevitable part of the e-commerce landscape. However, how to respond to negative reviews on Trustpilot can greatly influence your online reputation. Here are some strategies for effectively handling negative reviews on Trustpilot:
Stay Calm and Professional
When faced with a negative review, it's essential to maintain a professional and respectful tone in your response. Acknowledge the customer's concerns and thank them for their feedback. Avoid becoming defensive or confrontational, as this can escalate the situation.
Address the Issue
Take the opportunity to address the specific concerns raised in the negative review. If the issue is a legitimate one, offer a solution or explanation. If the issue is based on a misunderstanding, politely clarify the situation and provide relevant information.
Show Empathy
Demonstrate empathy and understanding towards the customer's perspective. Let them know that you value their feedback and are committed to improving your services. This can help defuse the negativity and show potential customers that you care about their experiences.
Offer a Resolution
Whenever possible, offer a resolution to the customer's problem. This might involve a refund, a replacement, or simply an apology. By showing a willingness to make amends, you can turn a dissatisfied customer into a satisfied one.
Keep It Concise
Your response to a negative review should be clear and concise. Avoid going into too much detail or getting into a lengthy back-and-forth with the customer in a public forum. Instead, offer to continue the conversation privately to address the issue more effectively.
Learn from Feedback
Use negative reviews as an opportunity for growth and improvement. Analyze the common issues or complaints raised in negative feedback and take steps to address them within your e-commerce business. Demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement can win over potential customers.
Conclusion
Trustpilot is a valuable platform for e-commerce businesses to showcase their reputation, but it's not without its challenges. The issue of fake reviews threatens the authenticity of the platform, while negative reviews can have a significant impact on a company's image. However, by effectively identifying and reporting fake reviews and by responding to negative feedback with professionalism and empathy, e-commerce businesses can navigate the changing landscape of Trustpilot reviews.

Sony A95K vs Samsung S95C OLED TV ( Review, Specs, Price)

Sony A95K vs Samsung S95C Design Analysis
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The standout difference in design between these two TVs is undeniably their stands, though this distinction matters primarily if you're using the stand-mounting option. If you decide on stand-mounting, Samsung's S95B captures attention with its central pedestal stand. Not only is it sturdy, but it's also practical, accommodating a slim soundbar and boasting a compact footprint that's apt for nearly any media stand. On the other hand, the Sony A95K's stand requires more space. Termed a "pedestal," it spans the TV's entire width and extends quite a bit at the back, giving users the choice to position it either towards the rear or front. Opting for the latter allows the TV to rest closely against a wall. However, the depth remains consistent in either position. Sony's design cleverly obfuscates any cables since the TV conceals what lies behind it. In contrast, Samsung's design offers slight visibility, directing cables along the stand's rear and camouflaging them with an inclusive cover plate. For wall-mount enthusiasts, the design nuances of both TVs become less pronounced. Both TVs showcase ultra-slim panels, accompanied by slight protrusions at the back. The Sony's rear bump covers more area, but the protrusion depth remains consistent for both models. This means, regardless of your wall mount's snugness, there will be a minor gap between the TV panel and the wall. Aesthetically, both TVs are eye-catching from the front, though it's noteworthy that Sony features a slightly broader strip at the base compared to Samsung. Which design resonates more with me? Factoring in the stand, I'm inclined towards Sony's avant-garde design. While it may not champion practicality like the Samsung S95B's design, its contemporary style is appealing. However, in terms of functionality and broader applicability, Samsung's design might be a frontrunner for many.
Comparing Features and Smart Platforms: Sony A95K vs. Samsung S95C
Before delving into the contrasts between the Sony A95K and the Samsung S95C, it's vital to acknowledge their shared hardware and software attributes:
Tumblr media
Resolution: 4K (3,840 x 2,160) Display: QD-OLED (Combination of OLED and quantum dots) HDR: Supports HDR10, HLG Sound: Native decoding of Dolby Atmos eARC: Available Color Display: DCI-P3 color space with 10-bit chroma resolution Gaming Features: Both support Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). Voice Assistants The A95K uniquely supports Dolby Vision, a leading HDR format tailored for content portrayal aligning with the creator's vision. Platforms like Netflix, Apple TV+, certain Xbox titles, and Blu-rays extend support for Dolby Vision. In contrast, the S95C omits Dolby Vision, opting for HDR10+, a royalty-free standard that, like Dolby Vision, uses dynamic metadata. Even though some platforms like Amazon Prime Video and Hulu provide HDR10+ content, Dolby Vision remains predominant. In software terrain, the A95K takes the lead with its inbuilt Google TV smart platform. Despite the ubiquitous sponsored content across smart platforms, Google TV ensures a swift and seamless streaming experience. Moreover, the A95K extends comprehensive audio and visual customization options. The S95C, on the other hand, falters in its smart platform, with a more cumbersome navigation process, even though it slightly improves upon its predecessor, the S95B. Shifting focus to gaming, the S95C emerges as a more gamer-centric TV. All its HDMI 2.1 ports support 4K gaming at 120Hz, a gold standard for console gaming. This means simultaneous connections for devices like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and an eARC soundbar, with a port still free. The A95K, however, limits this with only two ports supporting 4K gaming at 120Hz, and one is earmarked for eARC. Both models support VRR and ALLM, but only the S95C integrates AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, tailored for HDR gaming. The S95C also excels with its Game Bar, a user-friendly tool, streamlining access to game-specific controls. To sum it up, while the A95K impresses with Dolby Vision and a superior software interface, the S95C is undeniably tailored for avid gamers. Your choice hinges on whether you prioritize advanced visuals and smart capabilities or an enhanced gaming experience. Essentially, it's a tie in this category. Inputs and Performance Analysis When it comes to HDMI inputs, the Samsung S95B boasts HDMI 2.1 bandwidth across all four ports. In contrast, Sony offers two high-bandwidth ports, with one doubling as the eARC port. It's essential to realistically assess your needs. Do you possess devices demanding more than two HDMI 2.1 ports with capabilities like 4K 120Hz HDR VRR output? Beyond the premise of "getting what you paid for," evaluate your actual requirements. However, consider that A/V receivers with multiple HDMI 2.1 ports can simplify connecting several high-end devices. - Picture Quality:Breaking from conventional reviews, let's emphasize the minute difference between these two TVs in terms of image quality. The difference isn't analogous to contrasting mainstream cars but more akin to differentiating between supercars: both TVs are stellar, but slight nuances distinguish them. These TVs rival each other closely in color accuracy, off-angle performance, and motion resolution. They primarily differ in brightness and shadow detail management. The Samsung might exhibit marginally brighter highlights occasionally, yet, in direct comparisons, the Sony appears more luminous, particularly in HDR. An evident contrast emerges with content in Dolby Vision versus HDR 10. The Sony, supporting Dolby Vision, renders brighter and richer visuals than the Samsung, which relies on HDR 10. Ultimately, without direct comparisons, differentiating these models becomes challenging. Even with them side-by-side, discrepancies are minimal and rare. - Burn-in and ABL: Addressing prevalent queries: Both models pose nearly identical burn-in risks, influenced more by individual usage patterns. Concerning auto brightness limiter (ABL), the Sony's ABL becomes noticeable only after pausing for an extended period. In real-world viewing, the impact of ABL on either TV is negligible. Platform The Samsung S95B incorporates Samsung's Tizen OS, whereas the Sony A95K features Google TV on Android. Personally, I favor Google TV, enjoying its intuitive layout and the convenience of Google Assistant. Both platforms, however, are efficient and equipped with essential apps. - Sound Quality: The Sony A95K reigns supreme in sound quality, courtesy of its robust subwoofer output and screen-as-speaker system. The Samsung S95B, while impressive in its audio delivery, cannot surpass the A95K's acoustic brilliance. Both TVs also integrate features ensuring compatibility with external audio systems. The Samsung offers Q-Symphony Sound, enhancing audio when combined with a Samsung soundbar, while the Sony A95K can function as a center channel with specific systems. In summary, the Sony A95K secures the lead in audio, but the Samsung S95B remains commendable.
Sony A95K vs Samsung S95C OLED TV Performance Evaluation
Most enthusiasts are already acquainted with OLED's hallmark attributes: unparalleled black depths, vibrant color renditions, and unmatched viewing angles that redefine visual experiences. In a nutshell, OLED screens are the epitome of contrast. Their ability to manage brightness at the pixel level nullifies light bloom and retains image integrity, even from skewed viewing angles. Enter the S95C and the A95K, pioneers in marrying the prowess of OLED with quantum dots. These tiny crystals, known for enhancing color vibrancy and brightness, enable QD-OLEDs to sidestep the need for color filters. The outcome? Enhanced brightness and purer color renditions.
Tumblr media
In terms of luminosity, both TVs eclipse most of their OLED counterparts, with the S95C slightly edging out the A95K. However, it's noteworthy that their overall image brightness (spanning the entirety of the screen) is relatively equivalent, ranging between 200-350 nits depending on HDR settings. The S95C's distinct edge is evident in its pronounced highlights, such as the glint of sunlight off a car's surface. While both TVs thrive on their impeccable contrast, the S95C's heightened highlights provide a tad more depth to the visuals. Out of the box, in their optimal picture settings (S95C's 'Filmmaker' and A95K's 'Custom'), both models deliver astonishingly precise visuals. The color inaccuracies are so subtle they're likely imperceptible to the average viewer. Covering over 99% of the HDR color spectrum (DCI-P3) and equipped with quantum dots, these TVs epitomize color vibrancy in today's market. However, if your quest is for sheer visual dynamism—prioritizing vivacity over pinpoint accuracy—the S95C promises slightly more vigor. Certain hues appear marginally more radiant, a distinction discernible mainly in a side-by-side comparison. The A95K's defining element is Sony's superior image processing. It deftly scales content below 4K resolution and generally portrays visuals with an elegant subtlety, resonating more harmoniously with my aesthetic sensibilities. The Verdict: Both the S95C and A95K are paragons in the OLED TV realm. They effortlessly adapt to moderately lit spaces and dazzle in dim settings. The A95K's meticulous processing and precision-calibrated 'Custom' mode converge to deliver an exceptionally authentic visual experience. Conversely, the S95C, with its amplified highlights and color spectrum, crafts a more vivid, albeit slightly less precise, visual tableau. Ultimately, this category's victor hinges on individual tastes.
Price Analysis
Upon its debut, the A95K carried a hefty price tag. However, time has brought along some significant price reductions. Sony A95K: SIZE & PRICE BUY AMAZON.COM USABUY AMAZON.DE(EUROPE)US MODEL55″ $2,007.99Buy NowBuy NowXR55A95K65″ $2,998.00Buy NowBuy NowXR65A95K Though these prices have been reduced, potential buyers might still find them a bit steep. Furthermore, the A95K series is limited to just two size variants, maxing out at 65 inches. Samsung S95C: SIZE & PRICE BUY AMAZON.COM USABUY AMAZON.DE(EUROPE)US MODEL55″ $2,197.99Buy NowBuy NowQN55S95C65″ $2,797.99Buy NowBuy NowQN65S95C77″ $4,197.99Buy NowBuy NowQN77S95C As a recent addition to the market, there are no discounts available for the Samsung S95C yet. The 55-inch model is almost neck-to-neck with its Sony counterpart in terms of price, whereas the 65-inch S95C is approximately $300 pricier than the Sony A95K of the same size. For those wanting a QD-OLED TV that exceeds 65 inches, Samsung's S95C offers the only option, specifically the 77-inch version, which requires a deep dive into one's pockets at $4,500. In summary, for a 55-inch selection, both brands offer similar pricing. For the 65-inch variant, Sony holds a slight advantage. However, for grander sizes, Samsung remains the sole contender. Ultimately, this category balances out for both brands. Samsung S95C QD-OLED vs. Sony A95K: Your Questions Answered 1. Which one offers superior audio: the Samsung S95C QD-OLED or the Sony A95K? The Sony A95K edges out with its robust 3.2-channel speaker system, boasting a total of 85 watts. Sony's unique Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, which employs the screen itself as a speaker, further enhances its auditory experience. 2. For gaming enthusiasts, which TV reigns supreme: the Samsung S95C QD-OLED or the Sony A95K? The Samsung S95C QD-OLED, with its 144 Hz refresh rate, is ideal for gamers who prefer fast-paced gameplay. Conversely, the Sony A95K, equipped with the XR cognitive processor, is tailored for PlayStation 5 users due to its exceptional motion handling. 3. Between the Samsung S95C QD-OLED and the Sony A95K, which one stands out overall? The answer varies based on individual needs. The Samsung S95C QD-OLED, with its higher refresh rate and support for VRR and ALLM, is tailored for gaming. The Sony A95K, on the other hand, caters to discerning gamers who prioritize motion-handling. Both are equipped with quantum dot technology and deliver exemplary picture quality coupled with modern smart features. 4. Can you elaborate on the smart features of the Samsung S95C QD-OLED and the Sony A95K? Certainly! Both TVs come with cutting-edge smart capabilities. The Samsung S95C QD-OLED operates on Tizen, while the Sony A95K runs on the Android TV system. Additionally, the Sony A95K incorporates built-in Chromecast. Both TVs offer compatibility with Alexa and Google Voice Assistant. 5. When was the Samsung S95C QD-OLED released? Samsung unveiled the S95C QD-OLED to consumers on February 15, 2023. 6. What about the release date of the Sony A95K? The A95K was introduced by Sony in June 2022. However, due to high demand, some customers faced extended wait times for deliveries. It is now widely accessible. 7. Does the Sony A95K employ QD-OLED technology? Absolutely, the Sony A95K is a QD-OLED TV, much like the Samsung S95C. 8. What resolution does the Sony A95K offer? The rise of the internet and the proliferation of digital channels have transformed the business landscape, making digital branding more crucial than ever before. In this blog post, we'll explore why digital branding is so important in the modern business landscape.
The Changing Business Landscape
The traditional business landscape has given way to a digital-centric environment. Consumers are increasingly relying on the internet to discover, research, and engage with businesses. As a result, the importance of online presence and reputation has skyrocketed.
What is Digital Branding?
Digital branding encompasses everything a business does to establish and promote its brand online. It's more than just a logo or catchy slogan; it's about creating a comprehensive digital identity that resonates with your target audience.
Building a Strong Online Presence
A well-designed website is often the cornerstone of a company's online presence. It serves as the central hub where customers can learn about your products or services. Furthermore, a mobile-responsive design is essential, as more people access websites via smartphones and tablets.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is another critical aspect of building a strong online presence. Proper SEO techniques can help your website rank higher in search engine results, making it easier for potential customers to find you.
Creating Consistency Across Digital Channels
Consistency is key in digital branding. Your brand message, visual identity, and tone should be uniform across all digital channels. Whether it's your website, social media profiles, or email newsletters, customers should instantly recognize your brand.
Engaging with the Modern Consumer
Digital branding enables direct interaction with your audience. Through social media and other digital channels, you can engage with customers in real-time, respond to their inquiries, and build relationships. This direct engagement fosters trust and loyalty, which are essential in the digital age.
Competitive Advantage through Digital Branding
A strong digital brand can set your business apart from competitors. When consumers perceive your brand as trustworthy, reliable, and customer-centric, they are more likely to choose your products or services over others. Successful digital branding can become a powerful competitive advantage.
Measuring the Impact of Digital Branding
To gauge the effectiveness of your digital branding efforts, you must rely on key performance indicators (KPIs). Metrics such as website traffic, conversion rates, social media engagement, and customer feedback provide insights into the impact of your branding efforts. Analytics and data-driven decision-making are essential in the digital age.
Challenges and Considerations
While digital branding offers immense benefits, it also comes with challenges. Managing online reputation, dealing with negative reviews, and keeping up with the rapid pace of digital trends can be daunting. However, by addressing these challenges proactively, you can protect and enhance your brand's image.
Future Trends in Digital Branding
The digital landscape is ever-evolving. To stay ahead, businesses must keep an eye on emerging trends and technologies in digital branding. Some of the trends to watch include augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and the continued growth of video content. Embracing these trends can help businesses remain adaptable and innovative.
Conclusion
In the modern business landscape, digital branding services isn't just a nice-to-have; it's a necessity. Building a strong digital brand through a consistent online presence, direct engagement with consumers, and data-driven decision-making can provide a competitive edge. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, businesses that prioritize and invest in digital branding will be better positioned for long-term success. So, take the steps necessary to establish and strengthen your digital brand—it's an investment that pays off in today's digital age.

Tumblr media
Let’s just say that Plunger were abducted by aliens …
… or have been on retreat with the Moonies, or were suffering from a hilarious bout of adult mumps, because any of those would be less embarrassing than the real reason* it’s taken us five months to get around to reviewing Out On The Line. Our loss, as the second album from The Blue Highways is a cracking listen, keeping up the high standards set by their excellent 2020 debut Long Way To The Ground.
Thankfully, despite the years of upheaval since then, the London band is still steeped in the epic Springsteenesque New Jersey soundscapes that captured Plunger’s ear on that first outing. In a spooky instance of synchronicity with the most recent record we reviewed, there’s a distinct 80s flavour to Out On The Line: if Long Way To The Ground evoked early Bruce, the new release displays the polish and urgency of the mid 80s, so it’s more Born In The Harringay than Greetings From Finsbury Park, N4.
Nobody Lives Here Anymore epitomises the air of post-industrial rustbelt faded grandeur and blue collar defiance, with churning raw guitar a one-two punch drum beat and an air-punching stadium chorus. That vibe continues in the stately progression of the piano-led Rio Grande, with plenty of Jim Steinman-like melodrama, and the insistent Bruce-meets-Huey-Lewis chug of Running Out Of Time. There are more Steinman-y piano flourishes on the Bandish lope of Don’t Leave Me Alone along with the lead guitar doing what probably ought to be a sax solo!
Chiming piano stabs and the very Brucey line “There she stood under the carnival lights…” opens What’s A Man To Do, before breaking into bobbysox-beat-backed American Graffiti / Last Picture Show small town bittersweet nostalgia, while rapid mariachi strumming, a relentless latinate snare beat, and swirling organ (à la Tex-Mex accordion) give Streetlights the taut tension of a Tooting telenovela (or spaghetti Western… Avenue).
While great harmony vocals feature almost throughout, they take the foreground in the fine chorus of Don’t Waste Your Prayers On Me (with its otherwise highly Brucesque mumble-cum-drawl verse with references to Lazarus etc.) and even more in the sublime interactions on Tonight. Rendered slightly less a cappella than we heard it at Maverick 2022 but still with hair-raising harmonies and counterpoint full of Walker Brothers-level oomph and emotion.
Peak 80s comes in the pairing of Land Of The Free (now, how ‘Bruce’ is that title?) and Man With No Name (and that one too, now we think of it): in the former, tight near-machine drumming, one-note du-du-du-du-du-du-du-du pulsing bass (which crops up quite a lot on the album) and jangling guitar are topped with a light melodic synth hook before the Brucey bonus of a slow-build multi-voice-led crescendo coda; while a fuzzy stadium guitar melody and wind-tunnel reverb vox (and some filling-rattling bass synth) feature in the latter.
The joker in the pack turns out to be the title track itself: folky Americana driven by rattling train-rhythm brushes grows (via wordless harmony-choir bvs) to a fruit-flavoured-cider-advert festival anthem that sits a little oddly with what goes before (despite getting a bit more raucously ‘rawk’ in the closing bars).
Heightening the overall period flavour are the slick multi layer ‘big production’ with plenty of reverb and split channel tricks (the twin guitars on What’s A Man To Do, the right channel edge-of-hearing maelstrom on Streetlights or twangsome accents on Don’t Leave Me Alone): and the instrumentation, like the aforementioned repetitive pulse bass; syn-drum mimicking percussion; guitar tones ranging from the Knopflerish to Simple Minded; and Old Skool 80s keys - whether cheesy Walk Of Life organ or Born In The USA-intro electric piano.
But don’t worry, there’s absolutely nothing museum piece about Out On The Line - after all, accomplished playing and stunning singing coupled with consummate songwriting will never go out of fashion. Not even after five months…
*No, we're not telling you.
Out On The Line is available (and has been since March!) to buy as CD, Vinyl LP or digital download here: https://thebluehighways.bandcamp.com/album/out-on-the-line

Heyo! May I have Eragon's reaction to reader saying "I've loved you from the very start! I love you, but you don't love me! So why am I even confessing?" because I love drama and I do need a lot of fluff rn.
“The Many Questions And A Confession” Eragon x Modern!Reader
(A/N: How about a continuation to the one Modern!Reader slipping and telling Eragon how they know about him telling Arya about his true name?? I shall give the drama this day. It shall be a journey towards the fluff. Looks like this turned into an insert reader type deal. Needs a title now? Oops?
Drama time! Because Reader is really frustrated with Eragon in this one. Woo! How’s Eragon handle it? Spoiler: He doesn’t stop talking.
Continuation of this one: https://where-dreamers-go.tumblr.com/post/647030131496534016/if-modernreader-has-read-the-books-and-knows
Warnings: Angst! Fluff. Mild language.
Word Count: 1,703 words)
Hiding in your room’s bathroom, you remained silent. It was not so much that Eragon could not find you, it was that you did not want to be seen at least. So what if you had locked doors and were sitting in a dry tub? The worst that could happen would be if he decided to invade your mind.
“(Y/N)?” Eragon’s voice echoed throughout the chamber as the door to your room opened.
Of course he opened it. At least I didn’t barricade it, you thought. Can’t have thirty seconds to myself.
“Are you going to talk to me?” He asked quietly from the other side of the bathroom door. Apparently locating you was not an issue.
You narrowed your eyes at the door as you sunk further into the empty tub.
A barely audible sigh reached your ears.
“I’m not angry with you for knowing,” he said. “I just don’t understand why you’re running off.”
You glanced up to the ceiling. Did you forget your last guess?
“Then…you do have feelings for me?” Eragon asked. “Or you think I’m foolish for having feelings for Arya.” His voice softened, more speaking to himself than asking you another question.
You sighed and muttered, “Not so much that your feelings were foolish….just some of your actions.”
“You still haven’t answered my questions.”
“Because…wait for it….I don’t have to.”
“(Y/N),” Eragon’s tone lowered. “You’ve been avoiding me for weeks and it could not be for you knowing what I’ve done. If that were true…then you would have avoided me much sooner.”
“Brave of you to assume that I wasn’t avoiding you then.”
“We spoke more often then.”
“You asked me at least twenty questions a day. It’s hard to avoid that kind of persistence.” Kind of like now.
“Then why didn’t you?”
“Because I had just met you! I’m not trying to hurt your feelings. I would never do that.”
“So please stop avoiding me. I promise to be less foolish if that will help.”
“It won’t.”
“Why not?”
“Stop asking so many darn questions.”
“No. Just tell me.”
“No.”
“Why—?”
“I’ve loved you from the very start! I love you, but you don’t love me! So why am I even confessing?” You threw your hands out in a wide gesture. “Why do I bother? What does it even matter? …why am I even still talking?” You huffed. “Are we finished now?”
Silence.
You heard nothing else. Nothing in the bathroom you were hiding in nor anything out in the bedroom.
He has to be still out there. You thought. But I swear to all that is good, if he so much as tries to enter my mind, I will loose it. I’ll probably scream, cry, or…whatever. You crossed your arms and tried to ignore the uncomfortable position you were in. Physically, emotionally, and mentally.
The lock on the door clicked and the door opened. Walking in with an unreadable expression, Eragon made his way to you.
“No.” You said shortly, but he made no move of stopping. “What are you—?”
Eragon stepped into the dry tub.
“What are you doing?” You sat up straight as he sat down in front of you.
Settling in, Eragon folded his hands in his lap.
You shook your head at him.
What in the world? If someone thought he couldn’t get stranger…he did.
“What the blazes are you doing?” You asked, too bewildered to kick him as the opportunity was brought up in your mind.
“I’m sitting.”
You rolled your eyes so far that you were staring at the ceiling. If there was one place you did not want to look, it was straight ahead.
Wanting to hit someone upside the head and still wanting to kiss their face can not be good right now, you thought.
“Why are you even in here?” You asked through clenched teeth.
“You have been avoiding me and I haven’t seen you,” Eragon said simply before his voice softened. “I’ve missed you.”
Keeping your gaze up or up to the side, you avoided eye contact.
“Can we skip to the part where you say ‘I’m sorry, but you’re right, I don’t feel the same way about you’?” You asked. “Not going to lie…right now…you’re kind of making this worse.”
“I’m sorry.” His voice was a murmur that tore through your heart.
“Alright.” Finally tearing your sights away from the ceiling, you hoisted yourself up and out of the tub.
“Where—I wasn’t finished.”
“Save your pity. I want to be alone.” You walked out of the bathroom and headed straight for your bed. There was an extremely low probability that he would follow you there too. Some lines weren’t crossed.
“I know you want to be alone.” Eragon was trailing after you.
I’m going to die from being not surprised, you thought of a quote.
“Please let me speak.”
“You’ve been speaking this whole time.” You yanked off your shoes. “What possibly could you have to say now?”
“I never said that I still loved Arya.”
You paused for a moment before saying, “Well…you don’t really need to. I’d be really surprised if you didn’t.” Tossing a pillow towards the middle of the bed, you kept your back to him.
“I don’t love her.”
Face scrunched up in confusion, you took a glance over your shoulder.
“Bull crap.”
His eyebrows pulled together. “I don’t understand.”
“I’m calling you out for lying.” You explained and crossed your arms under your chest.
“I’m not lying.” A smile slowly spread across the Rider’s face.
You rose your eyebrows, challenging him.
“Sure. And what changed your strong feelings for Arya? Cold soup?”
“You.”
“What?” The word hardly reached your own ears.
Eragon walked up to you, albeit cautiously, with a full smile on his lips. His brown eyes were lit with a happiness you were not comprehending.
“What are you talking about?” You whispered. “Why are you smiling like that?”
A chuckle rang out into the room as he stopped to stand in front of you. “How am I suppose to keep a stoic face after you confessed that you love me?” His smile only stayed on his lips when he did not receive any verbal response from you, locked into his happy moment. “I know you would never lie about your feelings. Not something as strong as love.”
You watched on, cautious.
What is he trying to say, that he likes the idea of me loving him? Uh. Is this normal? You thought.
“Perhaps I should have stated my feelings for you much earlier. Clearly you have been worn down with your heart and for that I apologize.”
“Feelings?”
“Yes,” he wet his lips briefly and straightened his posture. “I do care for you deeply, (Y/N). My feelings were already growing before I even recognized them.” His smile turned sheepish, but he persisted onwards. “I didn’t think I could have those feelings for anyone else, but….it’s different somehow. I’m not sure how to explain it. I feel better when I’m around you. We’re honest with each other and you’ve taught me so much already. I’ll make this as much like home as I can for you. I really want you in my life.”
It took a moment before you breathed in a small breath.
You knew that you were probably looking at him as if he had lost his ever-loving mind. Who could blame you at that point? You were in a completely different world. And one you knew of, mind you. It was bound time for a round of unpredictability.
Eyes the color of enriched soil underneath the blooming flowers in light of a summer sky watched you with surging hope.
Were you hallucinating? Lucid dreaming? No, you couldn’t be. There were far too many moments that would have had a timeskip or objects from back home. The only way you would have this much time with Eragon would be if it was real.
He’s serious? He’s serious.
Your chest tightened and somewhere inside all of your tension released. In its place there was a warmth that brought tears to your eyes.
Frustration rapidly melting away, you carefully turned to sit on the edge of the bed to compose yourself.
“Are you alright?” Eragon asked, kneeling down to look upon your face.
“I’m…,” you swallowed. “I’m still processing what you said.”
“Processing?”
“Just…uh… Can you give me a second?” You waved a gentle hand in his direction.
“Take as much time as you need,” Eragon said as he delicately took your hand in his own.
You internally groaned at how sweet he was even after you verbally rampaged him about leaving you alone.
Seeing as you did not retract your hand, the Rider held your hand against his chest. The position allowed you the rare opportunity to feel his heartbeat. A rapid beating of his heart as he awaited any sort of verbal response from you. Anything that would tell him if he should indeed pursue the strong feelings he had.
You snuck a peek at his face; clear of any imperfections of the sun and brown eyes lit up in hope.
“You’ve been interested in me this whole time?” You asked. “And I didn’t know it?”
After reviewing your choice in words, Eragon nodded.
“What the actually hell?” You laughed. “You develop feelings quick, sir.”
A lopsided smile appeared on his face. Your light teasing of his actions always did surprise him in the most satisfying ways.
“You’re not upset with me?” He asked. “About earlier.”
“A little.”
His smile dropped a fraction.
“But I’ll find it in myself to forgive you.” You smirked.
“Then I should be grateful.” Eragon held his head high. “I would rather face your affections than your wrath.”
“Alright,” you rolled your eyes. “That was smooth, but cutting it close.” You tugged on his hands. “Get over here.”
Before Eragon could stand, you wrapped your arms around his shoulders in a tight embrace.
“You’re a bit of an odd one, you know that?”
Eragon nudged his head against your own. “I will gladly be odd if it means I can be with you.”

DAY 4879
Jalsa, Mumbai                       July 7/8,  2021                  Wed/Thu  11:43 AM
.. you sit and review .. thoughts of the years gone by .. of the times with the departed .. and the memory sparkles in its brightest and reveals the visuals and times  ..
.. words in those early years , when cinema was an illusion for us at age 12 .. in the 50′s it was the privileged few among the group of friends that went surreptitiously into cinema halls saw films and came back to our little ‘adda’ to narrate in heightened excitement the story and the visuals that were witnessed by him .. smitten with the narration we sat and made our own impressions ..
.. AND then one day .. you actually entered that darkened hall and saw first hand what had been heard and narrated .. and found yourself mouth open in awed emotion .. we now had our own ability to narrate the narration .. and the sense of superiority in its multiple variants engulfed us ..
.. AND .. in that bubble of vacuumed superiority one name kept floating about in the resonance of our verbosity .. DILIP KUMAR ..
and then strangely on a family vacation in 1954 or ‘55 to Nepal, Kathmandu there came an evening when the hosts brought us with his aides, an opportunity to visit a cinema theatre .. to see a film ..
.. the name cannot be remembered .. but the vision does .. and the name that had been floating in that vaccum suddenly took shape , right there on the screen in front of me .. large and in black and white .. that name , that visual often repeated in converse .. DILIP KUMAR ..
.. there was something in his presence .. when  he appeared all others became a blurred focus .. when he spoke , you felt right , convinced ..
.. and you came back with all of that home .. and it remained with you ..
.. going to the theatre again , more so the ones in Hindi were not allowed .. it was more the fairy tale stories of English nursery in film that was our permissible content ..
..and then another vacation to Bombay in the 1960′s and a random visit to a restaurant in the megapolis .. and there he was , near the entrance speaking to the owner of the place we were at .. after long contemplation which drove me to awe and shivering excitement, I decided to approach him for an autograph ..
.. but no autograph book ..
.. so out again in the street, a book bought and inside the restaurant again and the relief to still find him there .. the walk up to him .. he is concentrated conversation .. i push my words to him in general and the book in hand .. there is no reaction .. he did not even look at me or the book .. and after a short while walked away , out through the door and gone .. the autograph book still in my vacant hands ..
.. the autograph book was not important at all .. it was his presence .. thats it ..
from then on it became a known story so any reference towards it would be a repetition of what you already know .. know from your point .. know in general .. but the actually knowing, was the observation in our maturity ..
.. you never found a single element out of place when he performed on screen or in his non public appearance , or even the public appearance .. his eyes his walk his each limb his every spoken word was like poetry .. the graph and the tone , the pauses the rapid fire , the run by a train , that glass of the sorrow and the inconsequential and consequential expressions of learning .. and then ..
.. then that character of the birthplace province , Uttar Pradesh , Awadh and I continue with the admiration .. his presence is not as inconsequentially fluid as the others that were about him, it was IT .. never could you fault or destroy his power of observation and delivery on screen .. there was no alternate .. that is how what it was meant to be ..
.. the film Gunga Jamuna .. and the bubble inside has burst .. ..he is real .. he is not an actor , he is real .. he is HE ,..
.. how did he do it .. a mystery in the realm of performance .. and the confirmation that there can never be another ..
.. years pass by .. several associations conversations and presence in his company .. him by your side in film as well ..
.. and today ..
I stand in front of this mound on the earth, freshly dug .. a few garlands and flowers scattered about over the mound .. and no one around him ..
.. he sleeps underneath .. under the earth of his bearing .. it is peaceful and quiet ..
this large presence .. this mountain of talent .. this gregarious creative visionary .. this excellence of the excelled .. the ultimate .. now reduced to a small mound of grave ..
he is gone ...
.. and the World has not stopped .. it has been in constant move .. and move we do  .. as do many others to everyday life .. in remembrance of his words and performance .. his every little detail that you spent with him .. he has gone , but not those remembrances ..
.. thank you Cinema .. thank you ..
.. we can see him whenever we wish to .. in our homes in others homes in the palm of our hands .. we shall and can see him .. see him to observe what he left behind for us all and learn ..
.. history shall ever be ..
before Dilip Kumar after Dilip Kumar  .. that is how it always was .. now more so than ever ..
a prayer for his soul  .. a silence

How To Become A Successful Content Writer
Being a content writer has a lot of advantages. Depending on your position, you may be able to work from home or a favourite coffee shop, choose what themes to write about, have your work published, and earn actual value.
However, the work is not always simple, and there are a few areas of skill you must have in order to be successful other from being a great writer. So, here are nine important skill sets that each excellent content writer must possess and continue to improve throughout their career.
Tumblr media
1. Use the Most Up-to-Date Content Writing Method
The headline affects whether or not the remainder of your work is read. You will not accomplish the desired effects with your content if the title does not pique the reader's attention, elicit an emotional response, or make the reader want to learn more about the issue. To begin, select a topic that is currently popular, and the headline should be snappy and contain forceful phrases. The material should be simple to grasp, using headers, subheadings, bulleted lists, infographics, and related videos.
Before you begin creating your content, you should have at least one core point in mind. When writing, keep this in mind and try to connect your information to the primary argument as much as feasible.
You must also ensure that each sentence in the article is related to the preceding one. There should be sufficient logical flow and text cohesiveness to entice readers to finish the tale. Finally, if it's a commercial article, your material should convey a multi-layered message about making the best purchasing decision.
Tumblr media
2. Always strive to write content that is grammatically correct and unique.
Brief paragraphs, short phrases, and bulleted lists are common in the finest digital material. SEO best practises and the most recent SEO content techniques should also be used to improve digital content for search. The application of grammatical principles, meaningful sentence building, precise punctuation, exact spelling, and appropriate word choice will guarantee that you adhere to linguistic correctness.
You should also make sure that you adhere to the following ethical writing guidelines:
• Citing reliable sources of information.
• Crediting the writers whose work you reference.
• Always write material that is free of plagiarism.
Grammarly may be used to check for grammatical errors, and Small SEO Tools can be used to assure plagiarism-free work.
Tumblr media
3. Make a hook to capture their interest.
After the headline, you have three seconds to keep people interested. The opening sentence also influences whether or not people read the rest of your material. As a consequence, it should grab the reader's attention and bring them naturally to your first point.
Tumblr media
4. Create content that is well-researched.
If you want Google to rank your material on the web, you must spend a significant amount of time researching before writing it. Furthermore, when you post well-researched material on your website, your consumers will believe that you are providing them with more information than your competition.
You'll be able to produce reliable material after conducting extensive investigation. When your material incorporates statistics, case studies, or real-time industry data, customers share it with their friends, colleagues, and family. Particularly in the B2B sector, you must have comprehensive understanding of the issue you're writing about. To create credibility and back up your assertions, use statistics, facts, and measurements.
Tumblr media
5. Increase Demand by Practicing Adaptability and Flexibility
You'll need to adapt your writing methods to stay current in the fast-paced digital marketing business. You'll also have to interact with a wide range of clients as a freelancer or content writer for a marketing firm.
The material you post is your company's voice, and it should reflect your brand's personality. It's critical to match your writing tone to your target audience, business objectives, and brand character.
The content marketing sector is evolving at a rapid pace. As a result, you'll need to adjust your tone and writing style to meet the needs of the customer. You'll also have to devote more time to producing a variety of material. Write business content, casual narrative material, sales-oriented content, social media content, and so on to get experience.
Write business content, casual narrative material, sales-oriented content, social media content, and so on to get experience. You'll need to be adaptable not only in terms of content style and tone, but also in terms of industry-specific specialisations. Great content writers swap writing genres on a frequent basis to keep current on a variety of industry standards.
Writers who create great digital marketing material have a diverse set of talents, including writing, storytelling, connecting with an audience, and, most importantly, the art of selling items or services.
Tumblr media
6. Gain SEO technical knowledge.
So far, if you follow the preceding advice, you should be able to write excellent content. Even the best content in the world won't bring much traffic to your or your client's website if the target audience can't find it.
You may use technical SEO knowledge to help your content rank higher in Google's search results. Create SEO-friendly content titles, meta titles, meta descriptions, subheadings, and alt text for pictures, among other things, to improve your chances of ranking in search engine results.
To keep current on SEO strategies, you'll need to employ SEO tools on a frequent basis. Even if the customer gives you a topic and a title, you'll still need to do extensive keyword research. You'll also need to learn how to use high-volume keywords in the content title, introduction, headings, subheadings, body text, and conclusion. Then, using the Google Keyword Planner tool, begin looking for keywords.
Tumblr media
7. Commit to deadlines and become laser-focused on them.
Writing well-researched material necessitates a high level of commitment to the job. Turn on Do Not Disturb on your phone and computer to avoid distractions. Begin by accomplishing little chores, and you'll soon discover that you're able to complete the entire article on time.
You'll need to satisfy client requirements as an agency employee or freelance content writer. The delivery target date is a chance for freelancers to demonstrate their desire to help the customer. The customer should consider you for future projects if you produce high-quality material in a shorter amount of time.
Tumblr media
8. Enhance your organisational and communication abilities.
Always place a greater focus on task organisation using mobile or computer apps. You can utilise complex project management or to-do list applications that are freely accessible. Additionally, connect your calendar app with the project tasks so that you are notified of any modifications or high-priority requests on a frequent basis. In the long term, developing business-oriented communication skills will always pay off in your content writing profession. You must be able to communicate effectively with your organisation or clients, both in writing and verbally.
Whenever you send an email to a client or customer, compose it in a formal manner and extensively review it to eliminate any mistakes. A professional email will have a long-term impact on the recipient.
Tumblr media
9. Develop basic image and document editing skills
After you've finished your first draught, think about how you might improve the rough edges of your writing. Even when it has been prepared by skilled content providers, writing usually improves after a round or two of editing.
As a content writer, you'll need to include infographics, pictures, multi-media, and tables in your articles on occasion. You may lose productive hours for the following project if you have to rely on a third party for the aforementioned responsibilities.
Tumblr media
10. Stay in Demand
You could be a great writer, but if you don't keep up with the newest trends, your career prospects will be restricted. Join writing and freelance forums, build on your online profiles, become comfortable cold emailing, use various social media channels, and sell examples of your work.
Maintaining an active presence on a few social media sites can not only increase your chances of landing specific writing gigs, but it will also allow you to meet new people. Clients are constantly wanting to expand their reach, so offering to share material with your network will give them an extra reason to employ you.

LOTR (films) Review
So I finally watched the LOTR films (20 years later). I’m super excited to review these because I read the books very recently so I feel at least a little prepared to voice some opinions. Overall I loved the films, here’s a very long (but by no means exhaustive) compilation of my thoughts, which are of course, totally subjective:
(Warning: a lot of me saying “well, actually, in the book...”)
THINGS I LIKED
- Casting! not much to say here, I thought the casting was great. One of my favorite actors that I didn’t think i’d have a huge opinion on was David Wenham as Faramir. I was kinda ambivalent on him when I saw pictures but i thought he did a great job. he showed his quality.
- Music. so much has been said about the films on the music front. I can’t offer too much original insight but when a bit of the Shire theme started to play as Frodo tries to make his way up Mount Doom I cried a little.
- Boromir and Aragorn. I liked the scene where they interact a little in Rivendell. I also like how Aragorn saves Boromir in the Moria battle and gives him this little nod of friendship. I think the films did a great job portraying the dynamic they have where Aragorn is clearly suspicious of Boromir’s motivations but grows to respect him to the point where he doesn’t even blame Boromir for being corrupted by the ring because he understands that, at heart, Boromir is a good person.
- Sam and Frodo in Osgiliath. I expected to be kind of annoyed with the way this plot point played out (I knew ahead of time that it strayed from the book), but I actually liked it a lot. As I’ll say later, there’s some gripes I have with the way the films extremely play up the disagreements between Frodo and Sam, but I loved the scene where Frodo pulls the sword on Sam and then seems so defeated when he realizes what he’s done. I was pleasantly surprised by how emotional this scene made me. It’s admittedly A Lot, but it was done nicely, especially in conjunction with Sam’s “there’s good in this world” speech.
- Treatment of the ending. I almost think I should dislike the ending as it is in the movies, but my heart is soft and I like that they sugarcoated it a bit. I know the whole point of the Scouring of the Shire and Frodo’s depression conveys a lot about war and trauma and I think that is important, but after watching these things for twelve hours I just wanted Frodo & co. to be happy and I was kinda relieved that they cut the Scouring. Does that make me weak and perhaps bad at film analysis? yes. do I care? no. I was also very glad that the movies didn’t portray how depressed Sam was about losing Frodo in the end. Yes, he cries, but when he walks home to his family he seems happy and in the books that scene came off so much bleaker. I definitely liked the lighter tone.
THINGS I WAS NEUTRAL ON/DIDN’T LIKE
- Arwen. (Neutral) I don’t hate her, I don’t love her. I think the story she and Aragorn have is compelling and I 100% get why the filmmakers decided to add it to give her character more depth, but it felt misplaced at times. maybe it’s just because it was the only storyline I didn’t know in depth, but the scenes with the Arwen/Aragorn flashbacks felt a bit confusing and disorienting. Don’t have anything against Arwen as a character though, I think she’s pretty alright.
- Gimli. (Complicated thoughts) I want to start off by saying I don’t dislike Gimli. I like him a lot! I just think the movies did him a bit dirty. He had some good movie-exclusive moments, but I think his character really fell into this place of being the butt of too many jokes. Would have liked to see some more serious Gimli development, especially with his relationship to Legolas. Their friendship felt too much like subtext here, whereas it’s explored far more in the books.
- Two Towers Pacing. (Didn’t really like). The pacing of TTT was...weird. maybe I’m going into this with a closed mind because of the books, but it was odd to have the movie begin with Frodo and Sam and then have them only appear for a few rapid scenes after that. I think the fact that a WHOLE LOT of what happens to Frodo and Sam in TTT is moved to RotK is what makes it feel that way? In the books, Two Towers ends with Sam discovering that Frodo isn’t dead from Shelob’s sting, and I was surprised by how long it took the movies to get to that part. However, I will give the films a little leeway because I think they needed Frodo & Sam content for RotK, since most of what happens in that book is them walking through Mordor basically starving and dying. Doesn’t make for great cinema I guess, so they had to put the whole Shelob/Cirith Ungol saga into the final film. Still, I think there’s a weird lack of Frodo and Sam’s presence in TTT.
- The go home/missing bread arc. (Full of rage abt this one) yeah. so. my criticism of this is gonna sound pretty tired because people complain and complain about this part of RotK. but I’m gonna complain some more!! I don’t think the split between Frodo and Sam does anything for the plot. I really don’t. I guess it emphasizes the fact that Sam doesn’t understand how much Frodo is projecting onto Gollum, but it’s just. unnecessary angst? They had enough angst in the Osgiliath scene! Which I actually liked! And it simply doesn’t make a lot of sense for Frodo to suspect Sam of eating the bread when Sam had already offered Frodo his own food and made it clear that he would very much starve if it meant making sure Frodo could eat. But what I hate most about this scene is not that Frodo gets mad and tells Sam to go home. No. It’s that Sam actually... thinks about doing that? he actually? goes down the staircase? emotionally this is bad because Sam clearly cared enough about Frodo to follow him this far, to nearly drown for him, so why would he leave now. Practically this is bad because 1. how would Sam get out of Mordor alone and 2. where would he go. He turns around almost immediately, yes, but what was his plan. where was he going. why.
THINGS I LOVED
- For Frodo! This line, and every other shoutout to Frodo. In the books, they didn’t really actively talk about/worry about Frodo (and Sam) as much as they do in the movies. I like that they talk about Frodo more in the movies! I like that they’re thinking about him! I know it was implied that they were in the books, but I really like how it’s shown here. I think it gave a more complete picture of how much they all care about him on a personal level in addition to just needing him to succeed from a pragmatic standpoint.
- Merry and Pippin! I feel like Merry and Pippin were so well rounded in the films. I’ve heard criticism about them being turned into comic relief characters (which they always were a little bit) but it honestly didn’t feel that way to me. They had a bit of a rough start because the films didn’t make their motives for going with Frodo as deep as the books did, but I think that by TTT they were absolutely amazing characters in every scene. In RotK their respective arcs hit really well and the scene where Pippin is singing to Denethor? *chef’s kiss* poetic. beautiful. sad. idk man I just feel like I have such a newfound appreciation for Merry and Pippin.
- Parallels! people have pointed out the parallel of Frodo and Sam’s hands before (drowning scene/mount doom scene) and I love how the movie did that. Just stunning. Also! The moving of the Smeagol & Deagol scene to RotK surprised me because in the books it was like,,,at the beginning of Fellowship, but I think the placement of it in the movies really helped emphasize the similarities between Smeagol & Deagol and Frodo & Sam (and how much Frodo fears this similarity.) There were a lot of other well done parallels between storylines and a few bits of dialogue that were repeated with great timing, but I can’t remember all of them at the moment.
Edit: here’s one I remembered! when Frodo wakes up after being rescued and sees Gandalf, he says Gandalf’s name in a very similar tone to the one he used at the very beginning of Fellowship. It was a nice little subtle connection.
- I can’t carry it for you...alright this is self-indulgent. everyone knows I love this line. I’m just so glad it made it into the movie intact. Sean Astin’s delivery was amazing. I cheered. My mom cheered. It’s a raw line and it makes me feel secret emotions...like if shrimp colors were feelings. that line makes me feel shrimp feelings. idk i’m so tired i just watched twelve hours of movies this review is decreasing in quality by the minute but i’m about done for now anyway
Various silly afterthoughts
- I would have liked to see Sam kiss Frodo’s hands at least once. This happens 50 thousand times in the books, they could have given me one scene. one little extended edition scene. Please Peter Jackson I’m dyin’ out here
- They literally made Gollum so hateable. kinda the point yes, but I was so on board with Sam’s murderous rage. I know why Gollum’s a profoundly complex character, I know why Frodo pities him, I know why murder is bad, but I too would throw hands with that creature. also he literally body shamed Sam so much what was that skdjksdjksd. Sam is lovely. let him commit a small homicide.
- the scene where merry and pippin drink the tall boy juice (as someone once referred to it in the tags of one of my posts)... not accurate to the books (since they don’t ever drink it with the end goal of getting tall) but so accurate to life. if I found some water that made me taller than my friends? let me at it
- Frodo panicking when he falls into the spider webs. so real bestie. i felt just as panicked watching that. i am terrified of spiders and Elijah Wood did an amazing job doing exactly what i’d do in the situation. yelping a lot and falling down.
- I feel like it’s never stated that Sam’s a gardener (or at least that he’s specifically Frodo’s gardener) until he tells Faramir he is. Did I miss this. Or do they really never say.  are you just meant to know. are you just meant to pick up gardener vibes from him.
*
This has been a very chaotic lotr movie review. Thanks for reading.

Sehun can hear Minseok and Baekhyun asking rapid fire questions behind him, but he’s too busy seeing red to focus on them. He follows behind Johnny almost uncomfortably closely, ensuring that the younger boy is in fact leading them in the right direction and not trying to pull at fast one on him.
Sehun swears on every deity above him that he’ll knock out Jongdae if even half of what Johnny has said so far is true. He couldn’t care less about Minseok reasoning with him to slow down or Chungha telling him to calm down. He’d had it up to here with the games.
It was almost a decade in the making anyway; he’d be the one to knock the lights out of those two one way or another. He doesn’t care to be rational or relax.
Jongdae and Jongin not only had no considerations for your feelings or dignity as a person, but for Kyungsoo’s either—or rather, Baekhyun’s, kinda—either. They’re willing to cross a line—and for what, Sehun’s not really sure. To make a point? Get validation? Piss him off?
At this point, it didn’t matter. Sehun was relishing in just the mere thought of seeing Jongin’s stupid surprised face when he walks in the room. So, imagine his disappointment, when he doesn’t get to see the idiots’ stunned expressions; because you seem to have beaten him to the punch.
“—Are you out of your mind? Jongdae, I’d expect this shit from you, but—”
“[Y/N]?” Sehun blinks, taking in the scene in front of him: your finger pointed at a very nervous looking Jongin, whilst a panicked Jaehyun sunk behind his laptop screen, with Jongdae leaning against a desk—looking far too nonchalant for Sehun’s taste—and Kyungsoo standing just a bit behind you, “Kyungsoo?”
“Sehun?” you question, eyes widening as you look past him to see possibly every person you know at the university filing into the room, all with similar murderous expressions on their faces, “Chung—Minseok? Baekh—what—”
“What are you doing here?” The two of you ask at the same time.
“I—Johnny messaged me,” you explain briefly, “I didn’t believe it, but then I caught Jongin walking into the building, so I followed him.”
Sehun narrows his eyes. “Johnny messaged me too,” he explains, stepping forward and in Jongdae’s direction.
“What a lovely family reunion,” Jongdae sniggers, looking over Sehun’s shoulder, “Junmyeon, long time no see, buddy. You look well.”
“Shut the fuck up,” Sehun growls, stepping directly into Jongdae’s line of sight.
“You all need to relax,” Jongdae lolls, crossing one leg over the other and resting his palms on the desk, “I tried explaining that was just a prank, her little boyfriend over there wasn’t gonna get hurt or anything.”
Jongdae nudges his head in Kyungsoo’s direction, whose eyes are now wider than Sehun has ever seen them before. He looks briefly to you, watches as your eyebrows crinkle together.
“Boyfriend—are you talking about Kyungsoo?” you ask Jongdae, then snap your head towards Jongin, “Is that what this whole thing is about? You think we’re together so you were gonna try and publicly humiliate him?”
Sehun might not have gotten to see Jongdae’s surprised face when he walked in the room, but he thinks seeing the shorter boy’s eyes go wide with horror at your words is even better.
“You’re not—?” Jongin stutters, gesturing towards you and Kyungsoo.
“No we’re not!” you screech, turning swiftly to Kyungsoo, “No offense or anything.”
Kyungsoo shrugs, “None taken.”
“He’s not my boyfriend, you imbecile. I don’t have a boyf—well, I kinda—it’s none of your business, anyway!” You shout, stomping your foot.
“Then—who—but we saw you!” Jongdae counters. Sehun takes a deep breath, counts to three in his head, remembers that murder is a crime.
“It’s called having a friend, you should try it sometime,” Sehun says, in lieu of breaking his jaw.
“[Y/N], look, I—I’m sorry, we—I didn’t know,” Jongin apologizes hurriedly, taking a step forwards towards you. A little too close for Sehun’s comfort; too close for Chanyeol’s too, by the way he pushes forward towards him. “We’ll go and change everything back right now, I swear—”
“That’s not the fucking point!” you cut him off, making him pause in his place, and effectively stopping Chanyeol’s strides too.
“First of all, I don’t know what or how you’d have been changing anything. Yeah, we send them to the TA’s, but then the head TA compiles them into one PDF for the showcase,” you explain frustratedly, “So nothing you changed would have shown up anyway. Not to mention we submit the final versions 24 hours beforehand. It’s protocol to make sure students don’t change anything, and the board can review for plagiarism. I used to think it was a stupid rule, but I guess I was wrong.”
Sehun watches as Jongin, Jongdae, and Jaehyun’s mouths fall into tiny o-shapes. An embarrassed blush spreads across the latter’s face as he attempts to quietly close his laptop screen. In his periphery, he can see Johnny pulling his hood over his head. Sehun rolls his eyes. He’d deal with Johnny some other time; he’s not off the hook in his book yet.
“But you were willing to completely sabotage Kyungsoo on the odds that I was dating him,” you continue, but your tone is different now. Sadder than before; not quite disappointed, but almost somber, like you’d come to a harsh realization, “I tried to get you to come with me to this for two years, Jongin. I can’t even count how many times I’d rambled to you about how much of an honor it would be to give my own presentation—about how many opportunities and important people there are here tonight—and you were willing to ruin that for Kyungsoo? For what? For what! I don’t fucking get it!”
Jongin shakes his head, has a jerk reaction to move forward and try to comfort you. “I’m sorry—it was wrong, stupid! I just… I just wanted to have your attention for a little bit.”
Sehun’s seen this scene before; the one where Jongin upsets you, and then somehow makes you believe he’s the only one who can comfort you from his own wrongdoings. He’s a smooth talker, Sehun will give him that, but he’s seen it all before. It almost hurts him to watch it unravel at this point; he can’t even think to look back knowing Baekhyun’s about to witness it, too.
But it doesn’t play out like that; not like it has before. Jongin doesn’t get close enough, but you’re already stepping back, almost stumbling into Kyungsoo.
“You did all this for attention?” you cry out in disbelief, “You wanted to embarrass me in front of my entire faculty and all my friends, for my attention?”
Sehun watches you ball up your fists, the somber timbre of your voice gone; now filled with a kind of anger and frustration he doesn’t think he’s ever heard from you in regards to Jongin.
“Jongin, when we were together I couldn’t hold your attention for more than a few fucking weeks, and now you want me to give you mine, completely undivided? Are you out of your fucking mind?”
It’s a good look on you, Sehun thinks. He likes what he’s hearing, he likes what he’s seeing; he likes this scene much better.
“[Y/N], I—” Jongin reaches out again, but you’re already moving back. Sehun smiles; you might not even realize it, but ironically your backwards movements were a huge step forward.
“Don’t touch me,” you seethe, turning your back to him. You make eye contact with Sehun briefly, then Chanyeol, then some of the others; you look at Baekhyun the longest, a kind of silent message—before sighing.
Jongin doesn’t hear you though, because he tries again, extending an arm, and aiming for your shoulder; but all he gets is a fistful of his own shirt in Chanyeol’s hands.
“She said not to touch her,” the blonde growls, shoving Jongin backwards, letting him stumble into a few desks before standing upright again.
“I—we have to go,” you mumble, shooting Chanyeol a thankful expression before pulling Kyungsoo with you by his sleeve to the door, “Soo and I should go prepare with whatever time we have left.”
You pause at the door, briefly, looking at Baekhyun again, nervous; but it’s all smiles in the shorter boy’s eyes. “We’ll be out there when you guys are up, promise,” he says to you.
That seems to be enough to put a smile on your face, small as it is, before you and Kyungsoo walk out of the room completely and back to the presentation hall.
It’s quiet with you gone now, a palpable tension in the room with Sehun and Chanyeol staring down Jongin, Chungha grilling Jaehyun and Johnny, and Jongdae and Minseok looking like they’re three seconds away from ripping each other’s hair out.
Sehun kinda feels bad for Baekhyun, caught in the middle like this. He sticks close to Junmyeon, the only other neutral party. Well, neutral enough.
“So you’re the boyfriend, then, huh,” Jongin is the first to speak, eyes aiming for Baekhyun, “Dae got it wrong.”
Baekhyun brings a hand up to his neck, “Uh, well… kinda? Not that—it shouldn’t really matter to you, now, anyways.”
God, does Sehun wish Baekhyun was the trash talking type right about now. He sighs; he supposes it’s for the best that he isn’t.
“Well then you should watch out for blondie, and eyebrows over here,” Jongin warns him, “They never let her think for herself. Not to mention, Sehun follows her around like a lap dog, probably because he’s in love with—”
Jongin doesn’t get the chance to finish before Sehun’s fist collides with his jaw, knocking the older boy over, and leaving him hunching over one of the empty desks. Jongin barely gets the chance to gather his bearings before Sehun’s got his fist in his shirt, and pushing his back into the blackboard.
“This is the last time I’m going to tell you to shut that dirty mouth of yours and leave her the hell alone,” Sehun orders, voice so low it could be a whisper, “Do you understand me?”
Jongin only has the strength to groan in response. “I fucking mean it, Jongin, or so help me god,” Sehun’s mouth twitches, his free hand almost coming up to hit him again, but he’s pulled back by Chungha.
He looks at her, huffing as his resolve washes away, and lets go of Jongin completely, not caring for the way he stumbles around to find a desk for support to hold up his weight. Jongdae looks entirely too un-punched for Sehun’s liking, but he’ll leave him to Minseok. For now.
“Do you fuck around with [Y/N] like that because you’re jealous of her?” Baekhyun asks, his question leaving them stunned.
He directs his gaze to a hunched over Jongin, Sehun stepping out of the way with Chungha at his side to give him a better view. All eyes are on Baekhyun, now.
“You don’t like that she has friends who care about her. And you didn’t like that she might have cared about Kyungsoo like you want her to care about you,” Baekhyun reasons, “She has people who love her in way than one, but it’s obvious you don’t have any real friends. Not anymore, at least.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jongin replies, voice strained with coughs in-between his words.
Baekhyun frowns, hands in his pockets. Sehun’s never seen him like this either.
“I think you do,” Baekhyun corrects him, “I think you know you fucked up so bad—not just with her, with Sehun, and Chungha, and Chanyeol, too—they were all your friends before, right?”
Jongin doesn’t answer him, but Sehun nods at Baekhyun in confirmation. His lips fall into a pinched line.
“I used to think you and Jongdae were different,” Baekhyun drawls, “But I get it now. You both had people who loved you, but you thought it was unconditional right? You thought no matter how badly you fucked up, they’d forgive you. But you’re wrong.”
“Sehun doesn’t fight for her blindly; she does the same for him, for Chanyeol, and Chungha, too. It goes both way, like any functioning relationship,” Baekhyun continues, “She was even willing to do the same for you. And Minseokie for Jongdae. But they don’t have to, not if you don’t keep up your end of the bargain; love isn’t unconditional like that. They don’t need you, either of you, but you want them to. Badly.”
It’s evident Baekhyun’s words put a sour taste in Jongin’s mouth, but just enough strength for him to pull himself upwards. “And what makes you think you’re so much better that she’ll need you instead?”
“Nothing,” Baekhyun shrugs, “Because I know she doesn’t.”
Sehun finds himself smiling at Baekhyun’s words, looks around to see that everyone else seems to be in agreement.
“Come on,” Chanyeol speaks up, “We have to be out there before Kyungsoo is up.”
They all nod in agreement, everyone filing out the room. He doesn’t think to look back, not caring for the four left behind. Sehun throws his arm around Baekhyun’s shoulder as they walk towards the presentation hall.
“You know your little speech was pretty kickass and all,” Sehun starts, “But let’s talk about the boyfriend title, shall we? Or, rather, lack thereof.”
Baekhyun chuckles nervously, gone is the serious tone in his voice from before. “Well I didn’t want to call myself her boyfriend because I’m not!… Yet… And, also, she didn’t before!”
“Because you have to ask her, dumbass,” Minseok interjects from behind the pair.
“I am going to!” Baekhyun squeals, composing himself as he realizes they’re now inside the lobby, which means inside voices, “Or, well, I was going to. I don’t think now is the time, anymore.”
Sehun frowns, removing his arm from Baekhyun’s shoulder. He’s probably right. With the way things have gone tonight, he doubts you’re going to want to do anything but go home and eat your weight in fried rice when this is all over.
Still, looking at Baekhyun and Chungha groan over the lack of use of their “beautiful masterpiece of a sign” as they take their seats has him smiling. You and Baekhyun are good; official couple terms or not.

As soon as the showcase was over, he and the others met you and Kyungsoo outside of the building, with a mountain of hugs and compliments.
Junmyeon shoves a bouquet of flowers into Kyungsoo’s hand, forces him to take pictures with all of them, and Baekhyun even gets a piggy back ride from his friend for all of three seconds before he’s thrown off of his back. Baekhyun also brought a flower crown for Kyungsoo, but none of them could keep it on his head for more than a minute; now it sits atop Maize’s instead.
Baekhyun also gifts you a flower crown, albeit a little bit bigger, and more expensive than Kyungsoo’s, which you accept happily, along with telling him how much you’d loved his very bright decorative poster.
Chanyeol, Sehun, and Chungha, however make his little grown seem obsolete, as they shower you with baked treats, an expensive looking yellow rose bouquet, a homemade sash that reads “best presentation,” and falling confetti from a small confetti gun that Chanyeol had managed to wrangle into his pockets.
By god do you have some good friends.
“Thanks for the… everything, guys,” you say, speaking for both you and Kyungsoo, “I know we wanted to go out to eat after, but honestly, I think I need to call it a day.”
Baekhyun’s hunch turned out to be right, much to Chungha and Chanyeol’s chagrin; both of whom seemed to be looking forward to eating out as a group. The complaints soon settle into small talk, everyone agreeing that tonight had been a whirlwind of events, and some greasy take out and two respective movie nights at Junmyeon and your apartments would suffice.
You’d all get together to celebrate some time later in the week, and at that point there would likely be even more to celebrate for, as it would be after a joint interview you and Kyungsoo were offered for your work in the showcase.
Baekhyun thinks about the other posted rolled up in the one you’d seen, both currently in Chungha’s possession (who’d promised to keep it safe until he was ready to use it again). He’d have another opportunity to ask you, he was sure of it.
“Hey, I’m sorry,” you snap him out of his train of thought, loosely wrapping his hands in yours. Baekhyun crinkles his eyebrows as you continue, “That tonight didn’t go as planned. With—”
“You don’t have to apologize!” he cuts you off with a light chuckle; however, you seem startled, confused even by his reaction, “Babe, you did absolutely nothing wrong; you have nothing to apologize for.”
“Yeah, I guess,” you reply, unsure of yourself, “I don’t know, I just—if they’d thought to go after you instead, who knows what they’d of done and—”
“[Y/N],” Baekhyun calls—that laugh of disbelief still airing through the syllables—wrapping his fingers around yours more firmly, “You’re not responsible for his actions, you know that?”
“I know, but still,” you frown, “I should have known he was up to something. I know I kinda told him off but I just—I don’t want anything to happen to you as a result of their antics, you know?”
“I think the punch Jongin took to the face should prevent them from bothering you again,” Baekhyun chuckles as you eyes go wide.
“Punch—who punched him! Not that he didn’t deserve it, but I told them not to punch anybody. Was it Chungha?—I keep telling her that’s not safe, even if—”
“No it was Sehun,” Baekhyun fills you in, “I don’t think you could have prevented it. Seemed like a long time coming.”
“Yeah, I—I guess it was,” you say, finally, “I know. I’m sorry—about being sorry for them, then.”
Baekhyun laughs from his stomach this time, removing his hands from yours to wrap an arm around your shoulder, pull you into him, and press a kiss to your forehead. “You’re cute.”
Baekhyun sees that you’re about to open your mouth to reply, when you’re cut short by the flash of a camera. When he looks up he finds the culprit to be none other than Chungha, who’s holding her phone up right, and lets out a disappointed groan.
“Ugh, I didn’t get the kiss,” she whines, shoving her screen in Chanyeol’s direction before flipping it around to face the two of you, “You guys look pretty cute still, though, so you’re welcome.”
“Alright, that’s enough of that,” you say, a worn out lilt in your voice as you slowly pull yourself from his hold, “I need a nap. And egg rolls paid for by Chanyeol, so time to get going.”
“But I just volunteered to pay for the later celebration dinner!” Chanyeol exclaims, pouting excessively.
“Don’t worry, Junmyeon can pay when we all go out to eat,” Baekhyun grins, “Won’t even leave a dent in his pockets, right hyung!”
His comment is enough to make everyone chuckle, except Junmyeon who merely shoots him an unamused glance; but Baekhyun knows it means no harm. As if he’d let anyone else pay for a meal.
This information seems to pique Sehun’s interest, however; as the taller boy finds himself stalking towards Junmyeon and wrapping a friendly arm around his shoulder. “Is that so?” Sehun starts, dragging Junmyeon along with him and prompting the rest of the group to start walking towards the parking lots, “I don’t think we’ve met yet, hyung, I’m Sehun.”
“I think I’ve been replaced,” Minseok lolls, watching Sehun and Junmyeon’s silhouettes as they walk ahead.
You chuckle, finding yourself walking between him and Chungha, Maize on his other side, as you head towards the cars. “Don’t take it personally,” you tell him, “Anyone who’s older with a bank account is of interest to Sehun. At least as far as lunch goes.”
Minseok laughs lightly at that, the four of you making small jokes at Sehun expense about his need for companionship and affection in the form of food. It’s a few minutes later when Chungha jokes that if Minseok really needed a new friend to dote on, he should get to know Chanyeol better.
“Hey, Chan, you hear, Min—” you call out to the taller boy, turning your shoulder to face him, but he’s not there. Neither is Baekhyun—not anywhere near the rest of you, anyway.
You stop completely, and turn around, prompting Maize, Minseok, and Chungha to do the same. In the distance, you can see Baekhyun and Chanyeol; it’s as if they hadn’t seen the rest of you walking ahead. And, unfortunately, it looked like the two idiots were… dancing in the middle of the street.
“You think they’ve been hitting the whoah this entire time we’ve been walking?” Maize questions, staring ahead at them like they’re a spectacle. They might as well be.
Chungha sighs, “Probably.”
“I think Chanyeol and Baekhyun are gonna be a little busy becoming best friends,” Minseok laughs, “It looks like they’re already half way there.”
“What could they have possibly been talking about that led them to dancing like that?” Chungha questions.
You’re next, crossing your arms and shaking your head, too. You have to admit, it makes you smile a little bit. That doesn’t make them any less embarrassing.
“Do you see why I avoided introducing them to each other now?”
