very important question, what do you think all of their top songs would be on their spotify wraps?
This is an important question. Okay, here we go:
Shawn: nothing but 80's songs all the way down maybe a few 90's ones, too). I think his top track would be "Don't you (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds followed closely by "Head Over Heels" by Tears for Fears. He'll listen to the same song over and over until he gets tired of it and moves on to another one, before cycling back and repeating it.
Gus: Gus's music taste would be all over the place. His Spotify wrapped consists of every music genre known to man. Rap, pop, classical, rock, emo, if it sounds good to him, he's saving it. His top song, though, would probably be "I Wanna be Your Boyfriend" by The Rubinoos. Nice, catchy, and appeals to his romantic daydreams.
Jules: she has great music taste, a lot of classic rock hits in there. According to her character interview on USA Network, she listens to Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, and Pink Floyd. Overall, her Spotify wrapped is a spectacular selection. (Un)fortunately, she is not immune to early 2000's pop. Her top song is "Firework" by Katy Perry.
Lassie: He lies and tells everyone that his top song was "a heavy metal song, you probably wouldn't know it," when in reality his Spotify wrapped is mostly musical theatre tunes and ABBA. His top track is "You're The One That I Want" from Grease.
Chief Vick: all Phil Collins, who else? She's in his top 0.01% of listeners. Her top song is "Invisible Touch" by Genesis (Phil Collins' band).
Buzz: huge boy band fan. His top song is "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys. He thinks it's catchy.
Henry: would never pay for Spotify Premium and hates the free version
Woody: alpaca mating calls

the difference between jeverus and snirius i think, is that once james and severus get together, james just becomes a romantic with stalkerish and obsessive tendencies but he stops being mean to severus.
but for snirius, they act more like an old married couple and neverr ever stop being at least a little bit mean to each other, but it's more affectionate obviously.

Gut reaction to the CRK Pride 2025 Twitter post no lie:
Tumblr media
In all seriousness though. I gotchu Anon #1, you can always trust me to be on top of Beast x Ancient news and Big Gay Reveals 🫡🫡🫡
Anon #2 is right though, people are getting too worked up over that tweet lol. Even if 2 of the pairs shown (EternalBerry and SeaMoon) have actual canonicity behind them, it's still just fanservice. It's a fanservice post. They did this last year, too, with Herb x Sparkling and ChiliRye and Espresseleine. Just trying to scrounge up likes on social media, it doesn't actually mean anything for canon. No sense in either throwing a rager or getting bent out of shape about it. Just smile at the ship additions you like and roll your eyes at the ones you don't and then go back to business as usual. CRK-onlys are so unbearable lol. CROB players aren't all that much better, but I feel like they've calmed down some in recent years and CRK players are just... a whole different animal. A lot of y'all are either children or have the mindset of children and it really shows loo. Living in some scary, horrifically parasocial and entitled times, indeed
I will say though. It's veeeeeerrrryyyy odd that ShadowVanilla isn't there. That ship is the new juggernaut in CRK. I actually raised my eyebrows when I saw they were missing. WildChip I understand, sure. But no ShadowVanilla? No Vanilla Milkshake? That's pretty crazy
cheesecakemermaid1048 commented on someone else's post about the Pride 2025 art saying that they heard that the English CRK social media manager hates ShadowVanilla and the art is just a big edit of the ships they personally like. Idk if that's true, but if it is, that is the funniest, most petty shit on this planet lmao

I get whiplash every time I'm reminded that cumplane is a real ship in the SVSSS fandom.
We are literally the least serious part of the MXTX fandom, cause what do you mean we have no real fandom discourse about what ship is the best?? (we all just agree the role of harem owner transported to SQQ) And the worst discourse we have is people outside the fandom trying to come at us for the honestly not really problematic story? Like,,,if game of thrones is as popular as it is with half the discourse in ratio to its fandom size, SVSSS fans should be left alone

It does baffle me every time that people complain about how expensive everything is in the D20 mini auctions, like, these are all custom made and hand-crafted, and most crucially they're memorabilia from the set. Like no, I would not personally drop a cool 12k on a D&D mini from a D20 season, but if someone can then that's their business, particularly since the money has always gone towards their budget towards future seasons or (more recently) to charity. You are not entitled to a one-of-a-kind-mini of an NPC.

i think the internet would be a much better place if people could dislike art normally instead of trying moralize their dislike into "oh this art is problematic and bad actually" and just accept that art they dislike & think is bad has a right to exist despite their opinion of it
this isn't about anything in specific, it's just a trend i've noticed :p

Alright, so I've been a fan of Shane, Ryan and even Steven since their buzzfeed days and I've been watching this whole thing with Watcher moving their content over to their own streaming service debacle.
Like most ppl, I think it's a poor business move to alienate your fans like this, but I've been thinking on it more from maybe a financial perspective. I'm wondering how many people actually signed up for it. I saw a tiktok advertising expert say that the conversion rate for ads--meaning the number of ppl to actually buy something when they see an ad is about 1-5%. Like, right now they have about 2.8 million subscribers. And even though they've lost about 50K since and counting, they probably anticipated some loss. I'm sure they've mathed that if they just get at least like 100K conservatively out of their nearly 3 million fanbase to sign up, they'd be able to make $600K a month from their streaming service at six bucks a pop each month.
Maybe that's worth it? I'm not exactly sure how much they were making before. Ppl say they had 11K subscribers on patreon before but that's just their member total. Actual paid members was about 5K. But despite the controversy, their patreon member count has actually gone up. Today it sits at 12K members total with nearly 6K members paying. So they're making at least $30K-70K+ a month currently on patreon based on their offered tiers. not sure how much they were making on ad revenue alone or sponsors cuz I'm not sure how that stuff works on youtube. But maybe by their own accounting they think the loss of followers was worth it if they can hang on to that small, loyal but paying minority.
Another youtuber has pointed out that if you have a sponsor for a video and it's a one off, it can pay more. Up to $35K. So if that is the peak and they release 1 video a week, so 4 a month would be like 140K a month on sponsor money. And youtube pays about $10 per 1000 views a video, and they average 1 mil each video. So about $40K a month on views. So we can guess that they made about $180K a month currently on youtube (patreon and merch sales not included).
Honestly, if they can reach the goal of 1-5% of their subscribers converting to their streaming platform, yeah they probably would make more money in the long run. IF they can somehow manage to retain as well as grow those number of subscribers on their new platform. And don't forget, they don't plan to delete their current videos on their youtube channel so they'll still be earning revenue from those videos. We'll have to see I guess given how much goodwill they've lost with their audience.
Tbh, I am all for them trying to get paid more for their work but I also think they could have transitioned much differently, like only putting some exclusive content on their own platform while also posting free shows to youtube. Or maybe delaying releases for a week or a month for youtubers. or cutting back your production costs if it's really killing you cuz everyone has pointed out they liked the ghoul boys when it was just a black screen with text scrolling by saying "wheeze." Only time will tell if this move paid off for them.
But I'm not super knowledgeable on how the entire youtube thing works so if someone has some insight, feel free to weigh in.

I’m curious, I’ve seen a lot of complaints about how Evil Paper is potentially going to be handled in the S1 remaster, and i was wondering what people think the ideal way to go about him is.
How would you want him to be rewritten, without retconning anything major?

I didn’t tag anything on the post cause I didn’t want to detract from that whole thing but everyone just needs to remember that I do have a giddy obsession with The King in Yellow. Not the malevolent character. The book. From 1895. The one that starts with the author trying to justify segregation before going into his state authorized suicide world. That one. I do a little jig whenever I hold it my brain is broken about this book.

Been having less headaches lately, so woe more of my Marvel Rivals doodles upon ye.
[Small rant about Namor's design below.]
Tl;DR: I kinda dislike, almost hate the default design tbh. It's just not Namor.
Namor is on of my favorite characters from Marvel hence why I care so much about this. I realize I don't really talk about comics here, anyways-
I don't like Namor's design in Marvel Rivals.
Like as an atlantian design is good, but as Namor? I don't feel like it's him. He always has this British snobbish royal vibes to him (in the comics), but this design is giving Jason Momoa's aquaman + some inspo from talokan Namor (MCU), all of it resulting in him serving surfer dude vibes.
I would argue these 2 designs for him is closer too what his default should have been in game since Marvel Rivals clearly takes mainly inspo from the comics. (If they really didn't want to do the classic speedo as the default.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But no. Local fishman is too lame we gotta make em surfer dudes. (Yes I dislike DCEU's version of aquaman too.) It's so far away from who Namor is, and presents himself as.
And to have the MCU take on his default be so divorced from The Invaders era along side Captain america and Jim Hammonds Human torch as the OG Marvel characters that kinda started it all, yeah I'm knew I would be disappointed.
My point is; to see a game that many lift up to respect the comics, not respect one of the first Marvel characters, yeah it's infuriating.
So basically; if Spiderman show up on an enemy team I'm playing Namor.
(I'd be lying if my interpretation of namor being asian also kinda makes be wanna scream in the void. And don't get me started on the flanderization of his interest in Sue Storm.)

very annoying getting into a fandom where most of the audience seems to be on the younger side. there are so many concepts that are completely normal that just seem outside the realm of possibility for a teenager to even comprehend
I see SO much "how could anyone like this character, you know he's like 40-50 right?" and "how could anyone like this character, he's fat!" and "how could you like this character, he's a villain!" and so on so forth. Like, are you new here? I can only assume yes

ok so in a 2007 episode wilson says house is 45 meaning house was born in 1962 whereas hugh laurie was born in 1959 then in a 2012 ep house says that wilson is 46 meaning wilson was born in 1966 whereas rsl was born in 1969. do you think they did this to avoid age gap discourse
