Wish Rewrite
I have this tendency for rewriting material I either don’t like or think had wasted potential. At the time of writing this, Wish hasn’t come out in theaters but I did pirate it as there was an early screening. I also read the junior novelization and bought the concept art book. Needless to say, I was disappointed by what I read/saw.
I feel like Wish could’ve been better. Granted, the story and characters are not terrible, but they certainly leave much to be desired. This is literally Disney’s 100th anniversary, yet it doesn’t really feel like it. Not only that, but the movie felt incredibly rushed. Yeah I know that most Disney movies try have a run time of 90-100+ minutes, but I think a few more minutes could’ve been added to this film.
So, I decided to indulge myself and outline some changes that I think could’ve made the story slightly better. These ideas are by no means perfect, and in the end, this is all in good fun.
Spoilers ahead btw
The main story of Wish is essentially that Asha wants to get a job as Magnifico’s apprentice so that her grandfather’s wish is granted. But Asha finds out about the King’s true nature, and after questioning him, doesn’t get the job, and Magnifico vows to never grant Sabino or Sakina’s wishes.
Asha makes a wish on a star, and the star comes down, Magnifico tries to hunt down the two of them, he uses an evil spell book to create a staff, Magnifico destroys some wishes, Asha gets help from her friends, they sing a song to defeat Magnifico (I ‘wish’ i was joking), Star gives Asha a magic wand, and all is well.
Oh, and Amaya is… there.
It’s nothing complex, pretty cut and dry. And I don’t have a problem with a simple story! But this feels like it’s… missing something.
Firstly, I’d change the title. Disney already has a boat called Wish, and not every movie needs to be one word like Tangled, Frozen, and Brave (amongst others), so the story could be renamed “Asha and the Wishing Star” or “Asha and the Kingdom of Wishes”. Idk, something that evokes a classic fairytale book feel (or that does confuse people with a boat).
((Side note #1: I honestly enjoy that the story started off with a book, as a nod to classic disney movies, especially Snow White. That was cute))
Secondly, and I know I sound like a broken record at this point…
AMAYA👏🏼SHOULDVE👏🏼BEEN👏🏼A👏🏼VILLAIN👏🏼ALONGSIDE👏🏼HER👏🏼HUSBAND👏🏼
The original plan, according to the concept art book, was to have Magnifico and Amaya to be a villain couple who were partners in crime and owned a black sphinx cat named Charo. However for… reasons, the creators took the ‘safe’ route and made Amaya the good one out of the two.
But the problem is, by erasing Amaya’s evilness, the creators of Wish essentially removed any purpose or personality she may have had and thus, she was left to become a literal ‘supporting’ character. First supporting both Magnifico and Asha, then leaving Magnifico to prop up solely Asha.
Deadass, you can literally remove Amaya from the story and nothing would change. Which is probably why she was exempt from much of the promotional stuff minus the dolls. Because she literally serves no purpose but to be… there.
So, in my version of Wish, Amaya would be a co-conspirator to her husband and yes, I’m adding Charo too. Her personality would be inspired by classic female villains such as the Evil Queen from Snow White, Lady Tremaine from Cinderella, and Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.
Vain, glamorous, cunning, and unabashedly evil, Amaya would be the Morticia to Magnifico’s Gomez, the brains to his brawn. She’s the girlboss, he’s the wife instigator. Magnifico spoils Amaya rotten with countless gifts and praises, whilst Amaya is the more calm and collected evil compared to her husband’s ever-growing temper.
While she starts the story with no magic, Magnifico just can’t leave his wife hanging and shares the power of the evil spell-book with Amaya. And yes, even Charo gets in on the fun, turning from a small house cat, to a massive shape-shifting beast who breaths blue fire similarly to a dragon (shut up i think it’d be cool)
Magnifico and Amaya essentially keep the wishes of Rosas locked in the castle as a form of obedience. By giving the citizens false hope, it makes them more dependent on the royal couple, and the two have more power over everyone.
Anyways, let’s get to the main characters: Asha and Star.
I don’t have much of an issue with Asha’s character, more so her design. I already made a post showing my redesign of her, so that’s out of the way. Tbh tho, I also have an issue with the rest of the costume design of Wish, being a big costume nerd myself. The movie’s supposed to take inspiration from the Mediterranean, primarily places such as Spain and Morocco (and the Amazigh people for Asha), but the fashion feels like generic European medieval fashion.
I feel like the whole storyline of Asha’s interview with Magnifico was pretty pointless, so I would have it that she just starts off as the kings apprentice, whilst also working as Amaya’s scullery maid.
The couple took Asha in when the girl lost her father at the age of 12 (according to the film), and she’s been working for them for five years. Asha works not only to support herself, her family, and her community, but also as a way to distract from the grief of losing her father. Which is no issue, as Amaya always bombards the girl with chores, and Magnifico only teaches Asha the most basic of magic for fear of her growing more powerful than him.
I made Asha work as a scullery maid not only as a reference to princesses such as Snow White and Cinderella starting off their respective stories as maids, but also because scullery maids acted as assistants to the kitchen maids. Dahlia works in the kitchen, Asha and Dahlia are best friends, I figured it made sense.
But anyways, on the day of Sabino’s 100th birthday, Sakina tells Asha to take a break and return home, as she hardly visits anymore due to work. Asha says she’ll try asking the king and queen to get off early, but that she can’t make any promises.
Asha meets with Magnifico and asks for the day off, but the king refuses. However, wanting to keep her loyalty, Magnifico finally shows Asha the wish chamber, and even allows her to witness the wish ceremony that night. But once Asha starts questioning the king on his methods, any goodwill between them begins to fade.
Another thing I’m disappointed in, is that originally Star was going to be a shapeshifting humanoid inspired by the Genie and Peter Pan, and may have even had a romance with Asha. But, the idea was scrapped for the more cutesy, ‘marketable’, version of Star.
In my retelling, I’d choose to do this human shapeshifter version of Star, but I’d name him something else. The star Earendel was mentioned in the concept art book, which is the farthest known star from Earth and not only means ‘morning star’ in Old English, but is also named after the Tolkien character, Eärendil.
I would call this shapeshifter Star Earen, and because Disney loves their animal/cute sidekicks, Earen can have the ‘Kirby’ Star as a companion, just like how Asha has Valentino and Magnifico and Amaya have Charo.
((Side #2: Anybody else notice that Star lowkey looks and sounds like Kirby😶))
Earen and Star journey down to Rosas once they hear Asha’s pleas for guidance. Once Asha tells of Magnifico and Amaya’s lies, Earen reveals that he actually met Magnifico decades ago. The amount of years shocks Asha, as she realizes that the King and Queen might be far older than what they are.
((Side note #3: I didn’t realize this till someone mentioned it, but if Sabino is 100 and he gave Magnifico his wish at 18, then he’s been waiting 82 years for his wish to be granted. Which means it’s likely that Magnifico might be immortal. That, or Disney didn’t think this shit through (most likely)))
Anyways, Earen actually attempted to stop Magnifico and Amaya’s ploy to keep the wishes of Rosas locked away, but he was sealed within the heavens until he and Star heard Asha make her wish.
We can have it that the king and queen spun the story so that Earen was made out to be an evil that once threatened Rosas, but Magnifico banished him and saved everyone, essentially making himself out to be the good guy and manipulating the narrative.
Asha and Earen must now work together to expose the lies of the royal couple, and along the way, the two begin to fall in love. Earen disguises himself as a peasant boy so as to remain inconspicuous, while Asha tries to go about her job as if nothing happened, evading the King and Queen’s suspicions.
Star gives Asha a stick infused with stardust once finding out she is, quite literally, the sorcerers apprentice. It is also so that she may defend herself, as Earen has his powers and a sword (similarly to Peter Pan).
Unlike Magnifico, Earen and Star teach Asha the wonders of magic and the potential she wields, showing that there is no need for her to hold back when her gift can help so many, including those she loves.
The three manage to sneak into the kings study, but only have time to retrieve Sabino’s wish and return it to him. However, Magnifico and Amaya, now strengthened by the powers of dark magic, find Asha and Earen and threaten to destroy all the wishes should Earen not surrender to them.
And as a way to ensure that Asha doesn’t foil their plans, Magnifico destroys both Asha and Sakina’s wishes, despite Asha not being eighteen yet. However, the evil magic allows him to do so. This act weakens the two women, and infuriates Earen.
Earen then willingly complies despite Asha’s opposition, and Sabino takes Asha and Sabina to the seven (well six) teens for aid, who are in hiding after Simon ratted them out and who now serves as a puppet to the king and queen.
Despite loosing her wish, Asha finds the strength to carry on through the memory of her late father, enlisting the help of her friends and Star, who managed to evade the royal couple’s grasp. The team must work together to save Earen, whose power will be drained by Magnifico and Amaya. And if such a feat were to happen, then Earen would die and Rosas would be lost.
The five teens go into the woods to distract one of the royals, with the aid of the forest fauna and Star. Amaya chases the group alongside Charo while Magnifico tortures Earen and begins stealing his power. With the help of Dahlia, Asha sneaks into the castle to confront her former mentor and save Earen before it’s too late.
At first, it seems that the heroes have the upper hand with Magnifico neutralized, but then, Amaya swoops in riding Charo, who now takes the form of a giant dragon. Earen transforms into a dragon himself and battles Charo and Amaya, while Asha continues battling Magnifico. Star even comes to help after the original plan fails.
However, the unholy trio have the upper hand, and Amaya strikes down Earen, giving Magnifico enough time to not only drain Earen’s power, but to trap Star within his staff. With their combined powers, Magnifico and Amaya gather all of the peoples wishes, even stealing the wishes of those not yet of age, which includes the teens.
With all the wishes gathered, the couple and their pet destroy all the wishes, taking their energy for themselves.
Asha falls into despair as she watched her friends, love ones, and community succumb to the grief of loosing their wishes. The king and queen force Asha to apologize to the people, mocking her and making her feel even more guilty.
However, Earen comforts Asha despite his weak state, telling her it’s alright and that she shouldn’t be ashamed of wishing on Star, as he brought the two of them together. The two kiss, the strength of their newfound love and hope shining through the darkness and inspiring the people of Rosas to rise up.
As the sky and stars become alive, Magnifico’s staff is destroyed, releasing Star in the process. All the evil magic he, Amaya, and Charo used is sucked out of them and vanquished, and Earen is restored to full vitality.
Think of this as the transformation scene from Princess and the Frog. Asha and Earen get new outfits, with Asha even gaining a crown and a new wand from Star.
((Side Note #4: The “transformation” in the finale of the film is so stupid. Asha could’ve literally gotten a new dress once she becomes a fairy godmother, but instead, Star just made her sparkly. How magical🙄))
Rosas rejoices, as they realize they don’t need the king to make their wishes come true, and they can pursue them themselves. With Magnífico and Amaya banished from Rosas, Asha and Earen become the new rulers, being names Prince and Princess respectively.
And that’s basically how I would’ve done Wish. It’s not perfect, but it’s just an idea. I’m just disappointed that Disney do something better for their 100th anniversary.

Wing Man Part 10
Fic Summary: Steve ‘the Hair’ Harrington is your best friend, and is constantly striking out. Sick of this, you two make a deal; you’ll wing man for each other. Hooking Steve up with dates is easy, but he finds himself struggling to find you a date. At least, until Dustin starts talking about his new cool friend Eddie.
Chapter Summary: It’s no longer Halloween, but the ghosts from yours and Eddie’s pasts are coming back to haunt you.

Tumblr media
You had always heard the phrase “speak of the Devil and he shall appear”, but you didn’t think that line was supposed to be so literal.
You and Eddie starred in shock as your shared connection stood in front of the two of you, smiling at Eddie as if he were an old friend. If Chris noticed any animosity in your faces, it didn’t show. Either he was oblivious, or you and Eddie were good at hiding what you two were feeling right now.
“I thought I saw you in the lobby earlier.” Chris said, walking over to the two of you, ruining your moment together. “I didn’t think you were one for the theater since you never did come and see the Spring play that I worked so hard on.”
Eddie looked weirded out by this, to say the least.
“Sorry, I was busy trying to finish the campaign that you started.” Eddie said. “I didn’t exactly have time to go.”
Well, you were really in the middle of this now. You shifted slightly closer to Eddie, looking over Chris. He was almost unrecognizable from his school photos and how you remembered him on that day. No longer the pale and scrawny kid with the constantly pissy face, Chris was actually smiling and it was honestly off-putting. He looked more tan than he had in school, but there was a faint orange tint to his skin that looked unnatural under the yellow lighting of the marquis.
A fake tan. That’s what it had to be. Chris was sporting a fake tan for his role as Rocky.
You should have been Riff Raff. Or not here at all. You thought to yourself.
“Are you still mad that I left Hellfire?” Chris asked. “That was four years ago! Plus, I handed everything over to you, didn’t I? You got to finally be the Dungeon Master, and I got to find something I enjoyed. I think it’s a fair trade.”
Eddie still didn’t seem impressed, but kept his mouth shut. Chris turned his attention to you.
“I’ve seen you before.” he said. “You come here a lot, don’t you?”
You blinked in surprise. There’s no way you would have missed him if he came to this show a lot, right?
“Yeah, how did you know?” you asked slowly.
“I’ve been running tech for the show since March.” Chris had a smug look on his face that made your stomach churn. If he was working backstage, that would make sense why you hadn’t seen him before. “And I got to be Rocky for this run. What did you all think of the show?”
“The movie was fun.” Eddie offered, and you had the feeling that he was trying to decide if he should be honest or to let go of what happened four years ago.
You, however, were more willing to be honest in the moment. “I’ve seen better performances.” you said bluntly. “The movie was fine, but I expected more for the Halloween showing. Half of the shadow cast was completely different than before and they didn’t seem to know their cues. Also, what happened to the Virgin Sacrifice?”
Instead of being off-put, Chris just laughed and shrugged. “There’s been some recent changes to the theater management.” he explained. “It caused a bit of a commotion and there were some disagreements. Unfortunately, things like this happen in live theater. A lot of the cast bailed on the show at the last minute.”
That made sense, as much as it disappointed you. If there was an internal problem with the company running the show, it would end up bleeding out into the performance. You felt your annoyance calm down a little. It’s not like Chis was the one to run the show into the ground.
“Well, It’s been nice seeing you again.” Eddie said, as his hand slipped into yours again, “We have to get going, it’s getting late.”
You gave Chris a half-hearted wave and a goodbye, but then Chris started talking again right as you two were turning around to leave.
“Just so you know, auditions will be opening for the shadow cast.” He said. “We’re skipping the next two months to get the show back on track. In case either of you are interested.”
You froze in place for a moment and Eddie noticed and dropped your hand. You turned around to look at Chris, wondering if he was being serious right now.
“Auditions are never open. Even for the understudies.” you said. “I heard that you needed to know someone on the inside to even have a chance at auditioning.”
“Well, we know each other now, don’t we?” he asked with a smile that had too many teeth for your comfort. “I can get you an audition, if you’re really interested. I think you’d be great on stage.” Chris was looking at you up and down, as if considering you. “I can see you as a great Janet.”
“I’ve always wanted to audition.” you finally admitted. “I’ve been wanting to be a part of this show since I started coming here.”
Chris dug into his bag and pulled out a card for the theater, and scribbled down a date and time on the back. “This is when we’re holding auditions. It’s invite only.” he said. “I’ll put in a good word for you, if you’re serious.”
You took the card, looking it over. Maybe you and Eddie had been a little hard on the guy. Chris was right, it had been a long time since he was in high school, and people change. You changed. It’d be pretty hypocritical of you to brush this off completely. Everyone here was an adult, right? And this was something you’d wanted for years now. Could you really just pass this up?
“I’ll be there.” you said, without thinking, and when Chris offered his hand, you reached out and shook it. “Thank you.” you added.
Chris winked at you and said goodbye to Eddie and turned to leave, leaving you and your date alone outside the theater. By now, almost all of the movie-goers had left and the parking lot was nearly empty save for a few cars.
“Holy shit.” you said, turning to Eddie when Chris was out of earshot. “I did not expect to run into him tonight. Or ever again.”
Eddie let out a small sharp breath that could have either been a laugh or a sigh. “I thought he just disappeared off the face of the earth when he graduated.” His eyes drifted to the card you held in your hand; the same hand that he had been holding on and off all night. “His hair grew out a lot.”
“Yeah, I think it’s even longer than yours now.” You agreed, tucking away the card into your own bag and turning to fully face him again now.
The mood between you two had shifted from what it had been before Chris interrupted the two of you. Whatever moment the two of you were about to have had passed, and as much as you wanted to kiss Eddie, it wasn’t the time. You didn’t want to force anything after the moment had been ruined.
Dammit, Chris. Why couldn’t he have shown up before the movie started? Okay, maybe you were still able to feel pissed at the guy.
“Come on, I’ll walk you to your car.” Eddie said, and this time you reached out for his hand instead. Chris might have cockblocked your first kiss with Eddie, but you weren’t going to let him completely ruin the night. You didn’t miss the slight squeeze of his hand as you led him towards your car.
“I know I totally trashed the performance, but I did have a lot of fun with you tonight.” you told Eddie. “Other than him showing up, I really did like spending time with you.”
“Next date, it’s gonna be just us.” he said. “No chaperones and no Chris-es.”
“So, you want to go on another date with me?” you asked, thinking that maybe the moment wasn’t as ruined as you had thought.
“I’ll call you this weekend.” Eddie promised.
He leaned in, and you closed your eyes. Warm lips brushed against your cheek, and you tried not to feel too disappointed. It was still something, after all. The two of you hugged, and you breathed in the faint smell of cigarettes, leather, and popcorn.
“Not if I call you first.” you said, finding that line was starting to be a small inside joke between the two of you. You hoped that there’d be a lot more shared jokes together in the future.
You got in your car, and made your way home. Despite the small hiccup, you were starting to feel more confident about the future. Things were going well with Eddie, and you finally had the chance to do something you’d had your heart set on for years now.
Moving forward wasn’t so bad.
Tumblr media
Eddie was torn on how tonight went. You had fun, and you said that you had fun with him. He had been ready to lean in and plant one on you to make this feel more official but then Chris just had to show up and ruin the night. As usual.
It might not have been as bad if he hadn’t started talking about auditions and that was what made Eddie’s stomach twist. You had been mentioned enough times that this was something you had always wanted to do, and Eddie admired that a lot. He loved that you wanted to be on stage like that, and if you were in the cast he was sure that he’d show up for you, just as you had been showing up for Corroded Coffin.
But Chris had been the one to make the offer to you with his new muscles and hair that was longer than Eddie’s. Eddie didn’t want to feel jealous, and most of him felt like the two of you had bonded enough over talking shit about the guy that there was no way you’d had an interest in him.
So why did a smaller voice in the back of Eddie’s head feel like this was starting to crumble already? You had talked about changing and being different since you had been in school, and Chris looked different and had pointed out that he had graduated almost four years ago.
“You aren’t at Hawkins High and these aren’t children.” you had said when he had been taking in the site of so many people who looked and dressed more like him.
You hadn’t meant anything by it, Eddie was sure of that. You didn’t seem like the type to put someone down for what they were or weren’t able to accomplish. That still didn’t change the fact that he was a 20 year old still in high school, while you and Chris were out in the real world working and living on your own. Presumably. Eddie didn’t know where Chris was living and didn’t care to.
It was pretty late in the evening now, and he found himself wishing he could call Ronnie right now. Actually, he was starting to wish that he had talked to her earlier, had listened to her and taken her more seriously a few years ago.
Three more stupid credits and I’m out. That’s what he’d told himself since September when he walked into school for his sixth year in high school. He could coast through most of his classes, and he just needed to push through until June.
1986. That was going to be his year. He just needed to get through the rest of 1985 first.
Just as Eddie was about to go and crash in his bed the phone rang. You were the only one who would be calling him this late, and the knot in his stomach only tightened. You hadn’t been judgemental to his face about his education (or lack there-of) but what if it did matter?
He didn’t think you’d just up and drop him because Chris Morrison of all people showed up with his stupid long hair, offering you something that you wanted so badly. Right? Then again, Eddie hadn’t exactly been the best at communicating with you at all, and he had disappeared on you more than once without notice. Chris hadn’t hesitated with giving you a way to contact him.
Expecting the worst, Eddie tried to remain calm as he reached the kitchen.
“Hey.” Eddie said into the phone, “Get home safe?”
“Eddie?”
That voice wasn’t yours. The last time Eddie heard that voice, Eddie had been covered in blood and soot in Police Chief Hopper’s office. Her voice had echoed so loud that Hopper had even flinched as she cursed him out for ruining a chance for both of them.
“Paige?” Eddie asked in disbelief, as if he were talking to a ghost.
For fuck’s sake, Eddie this isn’t something we can just reschedule I know this was your shot this was my shot I stuck my neck out for you I know I’m at the police station What did you do? No room for a little tarnish, huh? Don’t be an asshole I’ve been an asshole all along, I’m just the last person in Hawkins to accept it Fuck you.
“I’ve tried calling you a few times but you weren’t home.” Paige said.
“You could have left a message.” Eddie’s voice was colder than he meant it. First Chris, and now Paige. What sick prank was the universe playing on him today?
“I figured you wouldn’t call back if I did.” Paige said, honestly.
The clock in the kitchen read that it was late in Hawkins and not quite as late in California, assuming that is where Paige was. He wanted to hang up the phone, leave her on a dead end line, just as she had done to him almost two years ago.
Don’t be an asshole. He told himself. What had happened between the two of them had been the perfect shit storm of events. Eddie had flown, reached out towards the sun, only to crash and burn. He had been reminded of what it really meant to have Munson attached to his name.
Eddie had been the one to fuck up, not Paige.
“I probably wouldn’t have.” Eddie admitted.
“Are you going to hang up on me now?”
Eddie paused. “No.”
“Good.”
“You know it’s... really late.”
“I know. I probably should have called you in the morning but I thought it was worth a shot calling tonight. Besides, it’s not like you have school in the morning.”
He didn’t, but that was only because he was planning on skipping tomorrow because he’d been out so late tonight.
Eddie’s mind went through a rolodex of anything that Paige Warner would want to talk to him about after all this time. Was she wanting to finally know how he ended up in holding? Had her brother told her about how he was now Freak King Supreme in Hawkins? Shit, did he have an estranged child with her that he didn’t know about? They had always used protection but shit happens and who could blame her from hiding a kid from a guy who she had to bail out of jail and had no money-
“I’m sorry.” Paige said. “For how things ended between the two of us. A lot happened after you called and I couldn’t bring myself to talk to you after.”
Eddie blinked and stared at the faded wallpaper of the kitchen, trying to make sense of the apology. She was apologizing? Why?
“I....” Eddie swallowed. “I think I should be the one apologizing here.”
“Oh, you definitely owe me an apology, too.” Despite her words, there was no bite behind it, no malice. “But I’m offering up my apology first as an olive branch.”
How come ever since that night at the Palace Arcade, everything had started being so weird for Eddie?
“What exactly are you apologizing for?” Eddie asked as he rubbed his face, the evening was starting to catch up to him now.
“For blowing up at you at 4 am when you needed help.” Paige said.
“It’s.. It’s fine. I deserved it.” Eddie leaned against the refrigerator and slid down. His gaze drifted up to the popcorn ceiling of the trailer’s kitchen, picking out constellations in the flaky white plaster.
“Maybe, but I should have heard you out after I had cooled off.” Paige said.
“So, you’re calling me in the middle of the night two years later just so we can talk about what happened?” Eddie asked.
“Not completely. I’m calling because I want to give you a second chance.”
“Uhhh.....” Had Eddie heard that correctly?
“A lot happened with WR Records after you bailed on the audition.” Paige continued. “I don’t want to go into details over the phone, but the short version is Corroded Coffin might have another shot.”
Oh, it can get weirder.
“Wait, what? Really?” Eddie sat up straight, gripping the phone with a grip so tight his knuckles were turning white.
“I’m coming back to Hawkins for a few weeks. I’ll be landing in a few days, and I want to meet up with you to give you more information.”
Corroded Coffin might have a second chance. Not just Eddie, but his band. When Paige had managed to get Eddie the original audition, she had said that only he would be the one to go to L.A. to play for all the suits in the business. They were only interested in Eddie, not Corroded Coffin. Eddie was real.
“You mean, my whole band?” he clarified. “Not just me?”
“Don’t get too excited.” Paige said firmly. “This isn’t nearly as nice of an opportunity as last time. But it is an opportunity. I want to meet up with you alone first to go over the details and explain what’s going on.”
“Why just me?”
“Because you’re the selling point, Eddie. You always were.”
Real. I saw it that night at the Hideout. I saw it years ago at the stupid talent show. You get up there and whatever you play, it’s raw. It’s life or death. And people can feel it.
Had you felt it? Eddie thought back to the two times you had shown up to see him play, you’d looked up at him with an excitement that he’d only ever seen from the rest of his band. Eddie could count on his hands the number of people who he could say were fans of his. Paige had been the first to look at him like he was someone while he was on stage, but she wasn’t the last.
“When do you land?” Eddie asked.
“Early Saturday, but I’m spending time with my family for the next few days.” she said. “I’ll call you and let you know when we can meet up.”
“Yeah.. yeah alright. Sounds good.”
Did it?
“Alright, I’ll talk to you later Eddie. Good night.”
“Hey, Paige?”
“Yes?”
“...Thanks. For bailing me out back then. I don’t think they would have released me if you hadn’t.”
“Just don’t do that again, ok?” Paige said. “And you can give me a proper apology when we meet up.”
Eddie nodded, and then realized he was on the phone and she couldn’t see him. “Okay. I’ll be there.” he said.
The dial tone wasn’t as aggressive as it had been that day in Hoppers office, and this time Eddie didn’t slam the phone down on the receiver. Instead he opened up the fridge, stared hard at the six pack of beer, closed the fridge without grabbing one, and went back to his room. He kicked off his shoes, and shrugged off his clothes, and fell face first onto his bed.
Eddie tried to sleep. He tossed and turned for hours, replaying the events of the night over and over and over again like a bad movie. Seeing you, watching the movie, almost kissing you, Chris showing up, Paige showing up. How could so much happen in the span of less than three hours?
Paige wanted to talk to him about Corroded Coffin. Eddie was the selling point. There was no way that WR Records was still interested in him, if they were she would have said so and not even brought up the rest of his band.
Shit, what would the rest of the band even say? Only Jeff had been around for the original demo recording that they had all done together. Dougie had left after that year, Ronnie passed her position off to Gareth.
Face stuffed into his stained pillowcase, he started creating a list of unanswered questions. Why was Paige showing up now? Why was she reaching out to him? Why is she giving Corroded Coffin another shot? Why did Chris have to show up tonight? Could you be attracted to Chris now that he had long hair and wasn’t the scrawny asshole he was in high school? Why did Dustin suggest him to hook you up with? Why did you agree? Why did he care so much that you didn’t remember him? Why did Steve also keep showing up? Why didn’t he kiss you? Wait, did Paige still want to kiss him? Okay, that one at least had to be a no.
Eddie gave up on sleep when his uncle came home, and heard the faint snoring coming from the pull out couch in the main room.
With sleep no longer an option for him for the time being, Eddie dug out his notebooks and instead focused on the mountain of song lyrics and notes from over the past few years. With his guitar slung over his shoulder and unplugged, he would be able to work without disturbing Wayne’s sleep.
Each silent chord and tab that Eddie played whispered through his bedroom. He mouthed along to the words on the pages, his voice occasionally slipping through the cracks as he figured out the rhythm of the lyrics. Playing guitar cleared his head, music always brought everything to the surface one way or another, even if he didn’t realize it.
As he focused on a specific riff, his fingers and wrist moved over and over in a constant rhythm. Even when he messed up, he didn’t stop the movements of his fingers as they slid along the strings. It was easy, it was challenging, it was meditative. Eddie could finally focus.
Paige Warner wanted to see him again to discuss Corroded Coffin. Paige was an ex. Sort of. It had been implied that they were going to make it official when he moved to California with her. They were even going to move in together, even if they would have separate rooms. Roommates who sleep together.
Anyone with half a brain wouldn’t just up and admit that she was an ex girlfriend. Business or not, Eddie was going to have dinner with an ex.
If he were still the same shitty 18 year old from two years ago, he wouldn’t have thought it was a big deal. Eddie would have had no problem going to see her, and it wouldn’t have even crossed his mind to tell you. But now, as a less shitty 20 year old, he couldn’t do that. You deserved to know who he was going to see if the two of you were going to go on another date.
He was also going to have to come clean about a lot more than that if things became more serious. That was something that Eddie was dreading. If he told you about Paige, he’d have to tell you about their history together. Telling you that he and Paige had slept together was easy, but what about the rest? How could he explain that she bailed him out of jail after he’d been arrested because a cop was shot on his lawn after two drug mules had burned his house down because Munson and Junior had stolen five pounds of weed from a reefer truck?
Eddie had only told the whole story to one person, and that was Reefer Rick. He hadn’t even had the heart to tell Wayne everything that had happened that Spring out of shame for everything that he’d done. Even Ronnie had been kept in the dark about what happened.
The sun slowly came up, and his guitar and notebooks were bathed in a warm golden light that contrasted the chill of the beginning of November. Eddie hung his guitar back up and gathered his notebooks, setting them aside for a later time. He laid back down on the bed, and closed his eyes. He decided that the next time the two of you talked, he would be honest about who Paige was and what their main history was. It wouldn’t do anyone any good to dump all of his family trauma on you at once when things were only just starting out.
It was kind of funny. Eddie had never set out to be anyone's boyfriend. It had never been a priority with him. Even with Paige, he had definitely found her attractive but aside from seeking her out to ask for her help with getting signed, she had been the one to make any move for anything more to happen. He’d been fine with that at the time, but after spending time with you...
This wouldn’t be easy, but he told himself he wasn’t going to run anymore. When he woke up, he’d call you and tell you exactly what was going on and who he was going to see. Anything about his police record could wait for now.
With that thought in mind, Eddie was able to finally pass out.
Tumblr media
It was well into the afternoon when Eddie finally woke up again. He pushed through the grogginess and showered, dressed, and shoved a can of instant pasta into his mouth as he flipped through the limited channels on tv.
About two hours went by before he remembered that you had today off. You’d mentioned that to him during one of your many long phone calls, and he about smacked himself in the head when he realized it. He’d been sitting around and waiting for you to get off work, and you hadn’t even gone in today.
Eddie held the phone in his hand, his fingers hovering over the dial pad hesitantly before forcing himself to push the digits that would connect the two of you again.
You answered on the third ring.
“No Hellfire today?” you asked.
“Not this time, everyone bailed out early for fall break.” Eddie said. “We did our Halloween special yesterday.”
“Tell me about it?”
Eddie felt himself nearly melting into a pile of goo at the words. You always asked about his campaigns and his band, taking an interest in a way that no one ever had before. There was a lot that he had to tell you, but.. He could at least give you this before he gave you the real reason why he called.
You listened as he told you about how the party went up against a pumpkin creature that had been attacking the town. It was a module he had made himself, and that he’d been working on for the past month between the main story of the campaign. You laughed and gasped at all the right moments, sealing the idea that Eddie was going to make a one-shot for you specifically to play. He couldn’t wait to help you make a character and add you to his table.
Assuming you would even want anything to do with him after what he was about to tell you.
“Sounds like a Scooby Doo episode.” you said, as he finished his tale.
“More like Goober and the Ghost Chasers.” Eddie smiled, taking his usual seat in front of the fridge.
The two of you talked, and it was far too easy to get lost in all of the conversations that he had with you. Every time he told himself to suck it up and tell you who he was planning on seeing, you’d ask him something and the two of you would be off on another tangent.
But then Eddie found his opening, and it was time to talk.
“I’ll be at the Hideout again next week.” you said. “I’m really looking forward to hearing that song you keep hinting at. How many original songs are you hiding from me?”
“We have almost seven by now, but no one wants to hear them.” Eddie lied, knowing full well there had been at least one person before who did.
“I want to.”
Two people.
Fuck, he needed to tell you.
“So... speaking of Corroded Coffin,” he said carefully. “We actually almost had a chance to audition for WR Records.”
“Hole shit.” you gasped into the phone. “What happened? I would have thought any record company would be tearing down the door to get you to sign with them. Or, oh, were they too mainstream? Did they want you to sell out? Change everything about you? Did you tell them to shove it, and that you wanted to make real music?”
Eddie couldn’t help but snort into the phone, suppressing a laugh. “Nah, we uh... well we made a demo tape and sent it in, and they wanted us- me. They wanted me to audition.”
“Just you...?”
“Yeah.” Eddie picked at a loose fray in the tear in his jeans. “They didn’t really like Corroded Coffin, but they did like me. But I blew my chance, and never made it to the audition.”
“Shit, Eddie... that sucks.” you said sympathetically. “What happened?”
Eddie was quiet for a moment as he tried to figure out how to explain to you what happened.
“Eddie?” you asked after he didn’t say anything. “You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to get into it.”
“I fucked up.” He finally admitted. “I did something stupid, and it stopped me from making it to California for the audition. That was two years ago. And last night I just got news that Corroded Coffin might be having another shot at something.”
“Wait really? That’s incredible that they still want to talk to you! And you said it was for the whole band this time? Not just you?”
“I don’t think it’s WR Records this time but a talent scout found me and is wanting to talk about Corroded Coffin?”
“There was a talent scout at the Hideout?”
“No.... my uh.. My ex.”
The silence between the two of you was deafening. For a few seconds, the world went completely still, and silent. Eddie always hated silence.
“Oh.” you said after a while, and Eddie could tell you were trying to process what he had just said. “So your ex wants to talk to you about your band?”
Your voice sounded neutral, almost too casual, and Eddie hated that too. “She- Paige- she was the one to give Corroded Coffin a chance. She paid for the demo herself, sent it to her boss, and got the audition slot for me. But I fucked up, ended up locked up for a few hours, and everything fell apart.”
Eddie wished that he could see your face, would you look at him with sympathy? Disgust? Would you suddenly look at him like everyone else in town?
“That sounds like a lot.” You said.
“Not gonna ask me what I was in for?”
“Do you want to tell me?”
“...Not yet.”
“Are you on some sort of list?”
“No.”
“Did you kill someone?”
“I don’t think I’d be let out if I did.”
“Good point. Alright. Then I’ll trust you that you’ll tell me when you’re ready.”
Trust. You trusted him. When was the last time he had anyones trust?
“Paige wants to give Corroded Coffin another chance.” Eddie said. “She wants me to meet up with her to give me details. I don’t know what she’s planning on offering but-”
“She bailed you out of jail and is offering you something you always wanted?” You asked, and he could hear something in your voice that sounded almost like defeat. “You should go. It’s clear that the two of you have a history that you two need to work though. And if she’s offering you and Corroded Coffin a chance, you have to take it, right?”
The way you said ‘right’ made him wonder if you were asking something more than just his current situation.
Why was it that every time you two started to find your footing together, things slipped up? How could things constantly be so weird with you when this should have felt easy? What force in the universe out there kept dangling good things in front of Eddie just to take them away as a cruel joke?
“Right.” Eddie said, sounding just about as sure as he felt about this. He didn’t even know what this was.
“Look, I don’t know what happened between you two, but it sounds like it’s complicated and you two need to talk about it.” you said. “Just let me know what’s going on after, okay?”
Eddie knew what you really meant. Let me know if this is going anywhere or if you’re going to get back with your ex.
That was a thought he didn’t even want to entertain. It already seemed to be impossible that Paige wanted to talk to him again, let alone date again.
“I will.” He would. “I’ll let you know when we’re meeting up and what she says.”
“I have my audition next Saturday.” you added. “And Robin and Steve and I are going to have a movie night later this week to hang out. But, I’ll still be at the Hideout if you all are still playing and not signed by then.”
You were joking with him, and he took that as a sign that maybe he didn’t completely fuck up.
“We’ll be there.” Eddie said. “I guess I’ll see you Tuesday then.”
“See you Tuesday, Eddie.”
With the phone hook back on the receiver, Eddie took a deep breath.
Just when things are starting to get good, huh?

Second Encounters - [MUTI! BLLK X F!READER]
Staring: Rin, Shidou, Sae, Niko, Kaiser, Ness, Otoya, Karasu, Reo
[ BLLK Scenario Masterlist ]
TW: ooc, bad grammar, bad spelling, bad formatting, etc.
>Rin
Rin was warming up for his game, it had been a few days since he last saw you
He didn’t mean to look for you in the crowd, it just ‘happened’, at least that’s what he’s been telling himself
And he didn’t actually get excited when he saw you he was just… getting in the mood to play! Yea, that’s right… He definitely smiles on a normal basis, this isn’t anything special…
He felt like he was playing better than usual, did your look of awe motivate that… no…?
Once the game wrapped up (they won, obviously) he poked through the crowd to find you. He wasn’t too sure why, his body started moving before Rin could come up with a good excuse stop it
But you were the one to find him instead. Maybe it was because he was so tired from playing..
He just finished chugging his bottle too, and he was about to go get some more
“Hey Rin, great game! Oh here- would you like some water?” You offered a plastic bottle that you definitelydidn’tbringjustforRin just so happened to have on you
He looked at you like you were his savour before proceeding to down it in 2 seconds
He took a second to catch his breath before thanking you “So, why are you here?”
You could only laugh “I’ve seen most your games, you’ve got a very entertaining playstyle”
“Oh… ok.”
It was only now that you realized how this made you come off, “Going to every one of Rin Itoshi’s games? It was just to watch, no feelings behind it, right…? Yea.” You thought to yourself “I mean- it’s not like I even know him. He wouldn’t even want to be around m-”
“Do you wanna come to my game tomorrow?” Rin blurted, as he interrupted your thoughts “It’s at a larger stadium, so you need to buy tickets…”
“Oh uhm… yea!” you gave a hesitant smile, never did you expect Rin to invite you somewhere, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity! You didn’t mind spending a few bucks on tickets-
“Great. I actually already have a ticket for you… you’ll be my +1, if that’s alright with you…” he pulled out a neatly folded slip of paper with your information and barcode.
It was a VIP ticket
You were hesitant at first “Are you sure…? Aren’t these really expensive?”
Rin just shrugged “Yea, I don’t mind.” he placed the tickets in your hands “Just actually show up okay?”
“Yeah! Of course.” you were screaming inside “I’ll see you there!”
And with that, the boy went on his way.
Shortly after he got a call from his mother
“Rin, have you given the ticket to your brother yet?”
>Shidou
It’s only been a few days after you managed to get him out the house
He ended up staying the night for the first day, and you only got him out by giving him your number
He had been texting you constantly, telling you the most random things “Omg look at this bird bro, I could lowkey swallow it whole” “HELP I PISSED SAE-SAN OFF AGAIN-” “Will you watch the new csm movie with me?” “PLEASE WATCH THE NEW CSM MOVIE WITH ME” “WATCH THE NEW MOVIE WITH ME PLEASEEE I BEG”
He would NOT shut up about watching the new csm movie, turns out, he doesn’t have any friends that watch chainsaw man… actually, you weren't sure if he had friends at at-
So you finally agreed to watch it with him in the cinema, and he was OVERJOYED
He bought the tickets and everything
Shidou would come and pick you up in the morning, then you guys would go out to buy some snacks, and smuggle bring them into the theater
Shidou was very happy to have someone hang out with him, and you guys had a lot of fun :D
>Sae
Sae found himself going to the perfume store for the 4th time this week
It was friday
Did he really need another perfume? No. Has he already bought 12 from you this week? Yes. But Sae Itoshi still wandered the mall, making his way over to your store
“Hello, [Y/N]” he said with a nod, the greeting had become a daily routine
But it seemed that you were preoccupied with another customer, Sae frowned
The man was almost yelling at you, talking about how useless you were, making inappropriate comments, etc.
Just when Sae walked in, the man knocked over a very expensive bottle of perfume that he requested to “look at”, when you had tried to get him to pay for damages, he just walked out!
If you had more energy, maybe you would’ve gone after him, but it had been a long day, and your shift was about to end in a few minutes anyway.
You finally noticed Sae in the store, and tried to compose yourself
“Hello, Mr.Itoshi, 4th time is it?” You said with a small laugh
“Yes. Hello.” He said as he looked at the broken bottle on the floor “How much was that?”
You sighed “$420….” You grabbed the broom and quickly cleaned it up
“Hm. Let me pay for it.” Sae said, as he pulled out a fat wad of cash
“Oh! Uhm… that’s a lot of money…” You replied, staring at the cash
Sae only shrugged, “No, not really.” He placed the stack on the counter
You gave a weak laugh as you finished your cleaning “So, what can I help you with this time, Mr Itoshi? I think you’ve already got all our new arrivals…”
“Hm.” He looked around the store. If he was honest, he didn’t even need more perfume, the first one you gave him was perfect. And yet he still came here everyday.
A few seconds of silence passed, Sae wasn’t sure how many. But you were counting
“6…5…4…3…” you kept track in your head “2…1.”
The clock struck 6. You gave a quick bow to the man “I’m so sorry, but my shift is over now.”
“Oh”
You grabbed your bag quickly from behind the counter and put your jacket on
“Wait uh-” Sae hesitated “Could… I buy one perfume before you go?”
You checked your watch “I’m so sorry, I have to catch the bus” you apologized “There’s always tomorrow!” you tried to keep it positive (and make sure you have clients)
“Let me get you an Uber.” he insisted “We wouldn’t want you getting wet now would we?”
Once the Uber arrived, Sae walked you out with an umbrella
You turned to him and gave him your thanks “And what perfume did you want to get? I’ll make sure we have it in stock tomorrow if you pass by again”
“Oh… I was wondering which one you used…”
“My perfume?”
“Yea.”
You smiled and looked through your purse, pulling out a small bottle and handed it to him “It’s this one, I’ve had it for a while”
He was caught off guard by the action “Really? Are you okay with me having it?” He examined your facial expression
“Yes, I insist.” you laughed lightly, “You are indirectly my main source of income too so yk-”
Sae smiled
“Thank you” He said, a genuine look on his face “Could I get one more thing…?”
“Yea, what is it?”
“Your number”
>Niko
“Niko, you should really take a break…” You said, as you watched the boy continue to train
“No. The game’s tomorrow. I need to make sure we win” The boy said stubbornly
You could only roll your eyes at his remark “Oh come onnnn. You’ve practiced the last 100 days. We’re basically guaranteed the win.”
You weren’t exaggerating either, it really has been 100 days. And those 100 days may have been some of your best.
Niko sighed “Alright… I suppose I could go for a break…” he put the ball away as he grabbed his belongings
You smiled “Great! We should go out!” You said enthusiastically as you helped him pack up
“Huh? But I’m tired….”
“Ehh? Alright, let’s go to your house then, we can watch some anime to cool down.”
He smiled at your consideration, ignore his light blushing too ok?
You had been to his place quite a few times now, so you made yourself comfortable as Niko picked a show
“Hey Niko,” you said as you scooped some popcorn “How do you feel about tomorrow?”
He took a moment to think about it before replying, “To be honest… I’m really nervous.. But having you there makes me feel a bit better”
“Aww, thanks Niko” you teased
As the two of you finished setting up, you guys sat down and prepared to start watching
“Hey, Niko, we should totally watch this in theaters one day! I really need to convince you to go with me one day…”
“Oh? Alright”
“Wait really!? You’ll actually go outside!?” you turned to him eagerly
“Sure.” Niko smiled “If we win tomorrow, I’ll take you out, it’ll be a date!”
(man was absolutely panicking inside 🤭)
>Kaiser
Kaiser stood by Ness as he checked his phone
“They should be here any moment, I swear-” Ness reassured the annoyed blonde
Kaiser only scoffed “They’re a waste of my time…”
“I beg your pardon??” You approached them from behind “I’m two minutes late.”
Kaiser glared at you, “Those are two minutes of my precious time.”
You rolled your eyes “Yea right, like you have anything better to do…” you turned to Ness and switched up your tone of voice “Hi Ness! It’s so good to see you again :D”
Ness smiled “Yea…” he was scared that you and Kaiser were going to break out in a fight at any moment
Kaiser was deeply offended by your remark, and felt the need to make a comeback, but you had already moved off the topic
“So, where do you wanna go, Ness? There are quite a few places nearby…” You checked the map on your phone
Ness only looked at the other boy, “Is there anywhere you want to go, Kaiser?”
Kaiser stared down at you “Where do you want to go?”
You did not expect that, someone like him asking for your preference? “Not gonna lie, I’m pretty hungry… I’d be down for a cafe.” you gave him a warm smile as a thanks
Kaiser looked back at Ness “Let’s go Karaoke.”
“WHATTTT??” your jaw dropped. He asked for your opinion to choose the most tiring activity?? You glared at him. You were going to out-sing this man if it were the last thing you did.
And out-sing him you did. Kaiser only scoffed and said he wasn’t taking it seriously anyway.
After karaoke, you guys did a lot of other activities, shopping, watched a movie, laughed at babies crying, you were having so much fun that you completely forgot about your hunger. And your grudge against Kaiser. Alright, fine, you tolerated him. But you weren’t going to tell him that! He can inflate his own ego.
“Hey Liebling,” He called, using a nickname he picked for you just a few hours ago (you had to ask Ness what it meant, but Kaiser told him not too) “You still hungry?”
If you hadn’t known any better, you would’ve thought he genuinely cared!
“Depends….” you examined his expression to figure out his intentions
Kaiser only laughed “Alright. Let’s go pick up some food at the Cafe.”
This was too good to be true! So you kept your guard high
Ness giggled at your expression “You know, he’s not alway a jerk, just… 95% of the time!”
“Wow, thanks Ness, so very comforting.”
When you guys arrived at the cafe, you were immediately attracted by your favourite dessert. You looked through the display to see the one piece left.
“Oh? You like that dessert?” Kaiser popped up behind you, teasing
“What? No-” you lied
“Really? Then… I’m sure you wouldn’t mind if I bought the last piece~” Kaiser taunted you as he grabbed his wallet
“You wouldn’t dare” you glared at him. You could put up with him being a jerk for the most part, but your dessert? Unacceptable.
And he still bought it!!
You were outraged, literally about to fight him.
“You sure he’s not always a jerk?” You questioned Ness as you glared daggers at Kaiser
Ness rolled his eyes playfully “I think he actually quite likes you”
“Really? Is mockery his love-language?” you joked sarcastically
“Yes, actually.”
You rolled your eyes as you looked back at the other deserts, about to chose one
Kaiser scoffed and lightly tapped the boxed snack on your shoulder “Yours.”
“...Huh??”
He glared at you “It’s for you. You're welcome.”
You took the box quickly and thanked him. Maybe Ness was right… me wasn’t always that bad…
As the day ended, you guys shared a last moment.
You gave Ness a quick hug as you were about to leave, and thanked Kaiser for the dessert
Kaiser rolled his eyes “Do I not get a hug?”
You couldn’t tell if he was joking or not, but you gave him one anyway.
As you were about to pull back, Kaiser grabbed on to you,
“Next time, let’s go out together without Ness” he winked at you before departing
Ness totally heard him say it too, but pretended like he didn’t, for the sake of his own safety ;)
>Ness
Despite it being a week since he last saw you, he was thinking of you constantly. I mean, how often does he meet someone so nice and pretty?
At this point, Ness was volunteering to go to the vending machine for Kaiser, even spending his break there, just waiting to see you again
And finally, finally, his waiting paid off
You on the other hand, just wanted to get a drink
When Ness saw you again, he just starting going off about how thankful he was, and how he “didn’t deserve your grace” (the drink you bought for him was $4)
Once Ness had composed himself, he offered to buy you something in return!
And you weren’t one to deny free food, so of course you accepted
“If you don’t mind me asking, you’re Alexis Ness right?” you asked as you opened your drink
Ness was overjoyed to hear you say his name, “Yes! Yes yes, that’s me, how’d you know?”
“I think i’ve seen some of your games, you’re the midfield for Bastard Munchen? You’re pretty good”
Ness tired so hard to contain his screaming “Really? Do you think so? I’m so honored!! Actually… I have a game tomorrow here, if it’s alright with you, can you come watch? Please? I’ll pay for tickets and everything!”
He was practically begging you, it made you question how his stricker treating him
“Oh? Yea sure, that sounds fun” you smiled
“Great! I’ll get you VIP tickets! Just for you!” he seemed so excited to have you there “But um… there’s one small problem…”
“Really? What’s wrong?”
Ness hesitated, “Well… VIPs are usually reserved for friends or family… so, you might have to be my friend…” he looked up at you, you could tell he was shaking
“Alright, what’s wrong with that? Can we not be friends?” you laughed lightly
Ness had to take a moment to process this “You’ll… be my friend!?” his entire face shifted to a huge smile “I promise you won’t regret it! I’ll be the best friend you’ve ever had!”
You could only smile at him
“Oh? Alright, I’ll see you at the game then”
>Otoya
You were still mad at him for getting you something as crappy as a candle, but he offered to make it up to you… with a date-
“You really are a f-boy…” you muttered as you met up with Otoya
He laughed “What are you talking about? I’m always genuine in my relationships.”
You mentally facepalmed- why did you agree to this??
“Yea yea, say what you want… anyway, where did you want to go?”
“I’m down for anything” he shrugged
“Alright then, I’m going shopping for a gift, because someone couldn’t get me a proper one…”
Otoya only laughed “Sorry sorry, my bad. Do you not like the candle?”
You scoffed “It’s a fine candle, but I bothered giving you such personal gifts, things that you’d actually like…sigh, why’d I bother…”
“Oh yea, I wanted to ask, how’d you know what I like?”
“Well, some of us are actually able to observe things about people”
“So you’ve been watching me~?”
“NO!? I’m just not an ass and am aware of my classmates' likes and dislikes?”
Otoya laughed, “Aww, that’s sweet.”
You rolled your eyes “Don’t take it to heart, I know just as much about our other classmates. Because I’m a decent human being and not some play-boy.”
“Oh?” he smiled “I think I’d like to be your boyfriend~”
“...”
“So you single?”
>Karasu
A little note was slipped to your desk while the teacher was drawing diagrams on the board, and you unfolded it quickly
It was written in your code, and you could tell the writer was very hesitant with their pen. It took you a few seconds to decode it, “I heard you bombed your chem test?”
you glared at the paper. You didn’t fail it, you just didn’t do great… and may or may not have been told to take a re-test…
You rolled your eyes as you crumpled the paper and put it away, sending a glare at the writer
Karasu only smirked as he silently laughed, he didn’t think he’d find such fun in writing encrypted notes. Otoya had even tried to read one, but he gave up the second he looked at it.
As the bell for dismissal rang, Karasu packed his bag while keeping an eye on you
At this point, everyone else had left the room, it was just you and him. He smiled
“...What do you want?” you asked him, slightly annoyed
He laughed, “What made you assume I want something from you?” he teased
“You keep staring at me…”
“Can I not admire your beauty?”
“...Otoya influences you too much, you smooth piece of crap.”
This only led Karasu to laugh harder “I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or not, but thanks.”
You rolled your eyes and laughed as well “Just get to the point will you?”
“Alright. I heard you failed your chem test?”
“...noo…?”
Karasu laughed again, if his voice weren't so pretty, you would’ve been done with it by now “You know… I’m top of the the class in chemistry, I could totally tutor you”
“Really?” you looked up at him “Are you serious?”
“Yea sure, why not. Since you taught me your code, it’s only fair.”
You smiled “That’d be great, thanks Karasu!”
>Reo
Reo had been following you around for the past two days, it was really starting to bother you
Even your classmates were asking about it! “Hey [Y/N], why’ve you been around Reo so often? Why is he always asking about you? Is he cheating on Nagi with you-?”
“What?? No-”
“Hi [Y/N]!” speak of the devil… Reo came by your class again as school ended. Everyone else slowly left the area “Will you play soccer with me?”
You sighed “No, Reo. I’m busy.”
“What? No you aren’t, I checked your schedule, you don’t have practice today.”
“WHAT??” you turned to him “You checked my schedule??”
“Yea?”
“.... You’re really creepy…” You picked up your bag as you prepared to leave
“Wait wait, cmon. Just one game.” Reo followed you out the classroom “I’ll pay you.”
Now he had your attention
“Fine.” you turned to him “One game.”
Reo smiled “Great! I’ll meet you on the field in 2 minutes!”
As the two of you played, Nagi was watching from the sideline, unwilling to participate. “It’s too much of a hassle…” is what he said
The score was now 9-2, with you in the lead. You stopped, “Reo, I think you’re done…”
The purple boy was almost out of breath “No… I can keep going…”
You sighed and put the ball away anyway “Sit down and take a break, you didn’t even warm up properly…”
Reo took his bottle and downed the whole thing, clearly exhausted
You let him catch his breath before you spoke “Good job, you’ve improved”
Usually Reo would brush off compliments as he got them quite frequently, but this meant a lot to him
He’d been practicing for the whole week, and someone noticed! He was unusually happy
“Thank you!” he said with a smile
You weren’t sure why but seeing him happy… you don’t think you’ve seen him like that before. You smiled
“You know Reo… I’m off practice for the whole week…”
“I know.”
“.... well- I could help you practice if you’d like?”
His eyes lit up “Really? Thank you so much! I promise I’ll make it up to you, I’ll buy you whatever you want!”

Obey Me Brothers - Most Shameful Kink HC’s
What kinks do the boys keep locked up extra tight?
Sailors Beware…dead dove do not read if you’re going to clutch your pearls thx
Lucifer - Shibaru/Robe Bondage on him
Lucifer is perfectly happy to be all dom all the time, and he loves tying you up. But deep down in his naughtiest dreams he’s burning up at the thought of you standing over him, the silk ropes against his skin, being at the mercy of your small, soft hands…Something about being restrained by someone as fragile and gentle as you keeps him up at night. He’d never suggest it but if you did? Oh, there would be clear signs of his pleasure. He might even let you gag him so all you can hear are his pants and groans as you take your time with him.
Mammon - Pegging
Look. He can explain, okay? Having your hand on the back of his neck, pressing his face into the sheets? Or squeezing his hips as you hold his thighs open and fuck him? Mammon wants to be a sloppy mess only for you, and giving you total command like this will have him cumming more than once. The sight of you strapped up alone is enough to have him panting like a dog.
Speaking of dogs, if you’re a lover who already has a dick? Pet play. Put a collar on him and let him be your good boy. Make sure you praise him lots and he’ll do whatever his master commands.
Leviathan - Choking
Sex between you two already gets plenty kinky between roleplaying and gender play, but what really makes Levi explode is the idea of your warm hands wrapped around his throat squeezing. He wants to be utterly at your mercy, just a dirty toy you’re using to cum, bruising your thighs with his fingers as you ride him. Spit in his mouth and degrade him while choking him and he’ll be seeing stars. The soothing aftercare makes the abuse feel all the better and the peeks in the mirror of the bruises give him thrills all day long.
Satan - Public Sex
Satan is a stickler for rules and takes reputation and decorum seriously…which is why the thought of you getting so worked up you just have to take him in the back of the library makes him burn. Oral in alleys, fucking under your skirt in an almost empty movie theater…Satan hates that he loves it but god does he love it. You almost wouldn’t know, with the effort he makes to resist the temptation, but letting you get him more and more worked up until he can’t help himself any longer is part of the fun.
Asmodeus - Cuckholding
There is very little that doesn’t get Asmo’s fire going, and less that he wouldn’t tell you about. Even this he’s not exactly ashamed of…it’s just a little off brand for him. Of course, he’s not going to be satisfied by watching you get fucked by just anybody. Oh no. Asmo wants to watch you get cock drunk destroyed by at least two demons, if not more. He wants to be able to get a perfect view of every single orgasm they pound out of you, and draping over an armchair, sipping champagne and watching the show is the perfect way to do that. The idea that he’s not allowed to touch you, and you’re not allowed to touch him, makes him even hotter, so plan to spend the next morning reliving every detail with him rutting inside of (or riding) you (in between godly pampering sessions of course).
Beelzebub - Sleep Sex
This is more expected from his twin, and it makes Beel red to talk about, but…sometimes when he gets back to bed after a late night snack, and you’re laying there so warm, and vulnerable, and innocent looking…well, just a few licks can’t hurt right? If you’re already naked it’s even harder to resist hilting his thick cock inside of you, doing his best to move slowly and not let his moans wake you. It’s never long before he can’t help himself however, and you’ve been awoken by mind blowing orgasms more than once, pinned to the bed by his body with his moans in your ear.
Belphagor - Travel vibrators/orgasm denial
Belphie’s maintains he’s not a sadist like some demons he could mention, but he is a brat, and he loves torturing you. He wants to watch you squirming all day, before turning up the heat during a council meeting or one of Lucifer’s lectures. No matter how good you think you get at hiding your arousal, he can always tell, and knows how to keep you just on the cusp of orgasming. He wants you dripping wet and begging by the time he gets you home and finally let’s you cum around his cock. And if you turn the tables and take a turn keeping him riding the edge for too long? You’ll get to hear some of the dirtiest words he knows as he whines and pleads.

Better - Quinn Hughes x Sarah (ofc)
Tumblr media
Photo from Pinterest
Title: Better
Author: Tory / @tkwrites
Relationship: Quinn Hughes x Sarah (OFC)
Warnings: Swearing
Summary: Sequel to First Fight, Sarah meets Brady and Emma and is thrown into the world of hockey outside the rink. Jack and Luke hear about their relationship in a less than favorable way.
Word Count: 3,000
Comments: I had so much fun writing the last little bit of this. It just flowed out like water. I hope you enjoy it. Also, I have a pretty basic understanding of cephalopods, and I have no idea if people do research like this with octopus, so please take it with a grain of salt.
Let me know what you think and if there’s anything you’d like to see in their little universe!
Better
A Quinn & Sarah Snapshot
They set up the dinner. Brady and Emma would come to Quinn’s for drinks before they went down the street to De Beppe, Quinn’s favorite Italian place in the city, which happened to be within walking distance of his apartment.
Sarah was in one of the living room club chairs, looking so lovely. When he’d picked her up twenty minutes before, he’d lost his breath for a moment. She was in a dark green dress that sang against her skin, and pulled her eyes to a kind of teal blue. It accentuated her figure, and he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
He was setting things out at the bar, when she stood suddenly. Her low heels clicked on the hardwood floor as she walked to him. He didn’t try to hide his stare.
“Pour me a shot."
He laughed.
“I’m serious, Quinn. Pour me a shot.”
“I thought you don't like shots.”
She’d been adamant about that at the movie theater when they’d been discussing which drinks to get. She liked something mixed, preferably fruity.
“I don't,” she turned around and began to pace, “I’m just nervous and it’ll take the edge off.”
Quinn walked around the bar and wrapped his arms around her.
“You don’t need to be nervous,” he said, “Brady and Emma are great.”
“They’re your first friends I’m meeting for real, like not just in passing. You’ve already met my roommates.” Her roommates weren’t really on the same par as Quinn’s childhood best friend, but they were the closest she had in the city.
He hummed in agreement. “It’s going to be fine.”
After fighting and making up, many of Quinn’s fears had been put to bed. He still wanted their opinion, but he felt more comfortable in his own decision now. She had pointed out something he did wrong without name calling, or tearing him down, and had taken responsibility - though she hadn't done much wrong - for her part in the argument. It was something June had never done.
He ran his hand up and down her back trying to soothe her. The soft feel of her dress had him thinking about taking it off again.
“You look really beautiful tonight,” he said, “did I tell you that?”
“You did,” she said, smiling.
He smelled especially good. It was possible that he smelled exactly the same as usual and her nerves were just heightening her senses.
Before he could follow through with kissing her, his phone trilled in his pocket.
She started and then laughed at herself.
He let them up and Sarah tugged at her dress before smoothing it over her hips. Internally, his knees buckled.
The elevator dinged and Quinn opened the door.
A very tall man walked in with a big smile and a big voice, “Quinner!”
They hugged fiercely. She could tell they were best friends even if she hadn't known. It was sweet to watch their reunion.
A very pretty blonde stepped around them and walked to Sarah with a kind smile. “Hi, I'm Emma.”
“Sarah,” she said, not sure if they should hug, or shake hands. She wished there was something between the two.
“You must be Sarah,” Brady said, practically bounding over to her.
She wondered how such a loud, happy, golden retriever of a man could be best friends with Quinn, who was happy, but quiet about it.
“Can I hug you?” he asked, “we're huggers.”
Laughing, she nodded and hugged him before embracing Emma.
Leaving the girls to talk in the living room, Brady followed Quinn to the bar. “Dude,” he said quietly.
Quinn felt himself smile.
“Where did you even find her?” He knew the answer, of course. They'd talked for more than an hour the day before and Quinn had given him the lowdown on what had happened in their relationship thus far.
“I know,” Quinn said.
“Y’know,” Brady said, glancing over at her, “she looks a little like Jameson Grady.”
Jameson was the it girl Quinn had pined for in high school. Brady had seen all of those years and liked to bring them up frequently.
“Yeah, I guess she does, a bit,” he agreed. He hadn’t noticed before, but they both had dark hair, light eyes and full hips. Sarah, however, was much kinder than Jameson had ever been. He couldn’t imagine a world where Sarah would laugh in someone's face if they asked her out.
“Brady told me you work at the aquarium?” Emma asked as they looked over the harbor skyline.
“Yeah, I do research with one of the octopus there for my masters program.” Sarah said, “what do you do?”
“Charity work, mostly,” she said with a big smile. “It’s difficult to have a consistent job with Brady’s schedule.”
Sarah nodded, worry edging into her mind. Was she expected to give up her work for Quinn? Was that the good WAG thing to do?
The boys came over then, Quinn with a rum cranberry for her. She couldn’t remember telling him it was her favorite drink. Maybe she’d rambled it at the bar on their first date. She was touched, he remembered.
They talked for a while before their dinner reservation. The conversation soon devolved into Brady telling embarrassing stories about a fifteen year old Quinn living on his own for the first time while Quinn blushed and looked chagrined.
“And then, before we knew it, there was butter all over the kitchen,” Brady said, making a huge exploding gesture with his arms.
“In my defense,” Quinn said, holding up his hands, “I didn’t know I was supposed to unwrap it before.”
Sarah giggled, but wondered how she would have survived moving away from home at fifteen. She barely handled the three hour move to college when she was eighteen.
Walking to the restaurant in the cool spring mist, Quinn held Sarah’s hand and tried not to think about who might be watching them on the street. Being so obviously on a double date, he didn’t want to set the fangirls ablaze trying to figure out who Sarah was. June had such an online presence before they were together that fans had instantly glommed onto her. June had welcomed the new followers.
Sarah was far more private - he’d had to request to follow her on Instagram - and he didn’t want to throw her into something she didn’t want.
They were seated at a table in the back corner of the restaurant. A few people watched them sit down, but true to Brady’s prediction, no one stopped them on their walk in.
They ordered a bottle of wine and appetizers and settled in for a long evening meal.
“Is it just me, or are those people staring at us?” Sarah asked Emma over her wine glass.
Emma glanced over. “They are,” she said, matter of factly.
“Why?”
“They’re probably trying to figure out if Quinn is actually Quinn,” she said.
“It’s so weird,” Sarah said, “I never would have guessed he would be considered famous.”
Emma leveled a look at her that instantly made Sarah giggle, “He plays for a Canadian hockey team. It’s like religion up here.”
“Do you think they’ll come over?” she asked.
“Probably not. Most fans are pretty respectful. Every once in a while, someone will stop us on the street, but hardly ever in a restaurant. The hardest thing to get used to is the staring while people are trying to figure out if it's actually them.”
“So, Sarah,” Brady cut in once Emma was done speaking, “tell us about your research.”
“Oh,” she paused to take a sip of wine. “I’m studying cephalopod social dynamics, specifically in octopus. Even though Octopus don’t live in clusters, they’re the smartest of their genus, so they’re a little easier to study as they’re not so baseline limbic.”
Brady stared at her. He’d always known Quinn was attracted to someone’s mind as well as their looks, but this was wild. She got this bright twinkle in her eyes as she spoke, and even though he had no idea what she was saying, he wanted to know more.
“Can you say again in layman's terms?” he asked.
“Oh, sorry,” she said, flushing a pretty shade of pink, “I get into research mode sometimes, and talk like I’m presenting at a conference. Basically, I study how octopus relate to things in their environment, including other octopus, fish and even me. Walter and I have formed a kind of friendship and I study how he reacts when I change something like my hair, or wear different perfume, or come into the research lab sad.”
“He can tell all those things?”
“Yeah. Octopus are extremely smart and aware of their surroundings. There are a few really interesting documentaries about people who live with or visit octopus for years and the bonds they form. Other cephalopods aren’t so aware, so they’re not as exciting to study.”
The way Quinn looked at her while she talked spoke volumes to Brady. It was too soon for them to throw the word around, but love was on the horizon.
“How does he tell you’re sad?” Emma asked.
“Well, there are visual cues of course, but that’s one of the things I’m researching now. Octopus experience most of their world through their suction cups. They have nerves and taste buds in every one that are much more advanced than our own, so I’m forming a hypothesis asking if he can sense my mood via hormones on my skin. I’m also recording how he reacts generally. He tends to be more subdued when I am, and I’m not sure if he’s mirroring me, or trying to comfort me in some way.”
“How do you even study that?” Brady asked.
“Observation, mostly,” she said. “I’ve noticed that if I come into the lab happy, especially if I’m singing or if I say hello to him in an excited way, he races in his tank to greet me.”
“That is so cool,” Emma said, “I had no idea they were so intelligent.”
“I want to go through the aquarium with you so you can tell us about everything in there,” Brady said.
Sarah laughed, “ I don’t know about that. I know a lot of useless information about the ocean.”
Brady glanced at Emma and they shared a private little conversation with their eyes. He was beaming when he looked at Quinn.
“So, what do you do outside of hockey?”
“Can we go for gelato?” Emma asked when they left the restaurant. “I saw a place on the way here.”
They agreed and started down the street. Brady hung back to walk with Sarah. Quinn took the hint and caught up with Emma.
Sarah took a deep breath. She’d yet to have a one on one conversation with Brady. It was clear Quinn loved him a lot, and she wanted to make a good impression. Sated with good wine, an amazing meal and good conversation, she felt more comfortable than she had at the beginning of the night. She was instantly glad Brady waited until now to talk to her.
“So, what do you think?” she asked.
Brady appreciated that she didn’t beat around the bush.
“I mean, I can tell you're better for him than any of his past girlfriends,” Brady said as they walked.
“Really?” she asked. She hadn’t expected him to be so forthcoming right off the bat.
“Oh yeah. You're way more steady than June.”
“Who's June?”
Brady gulped. He probably shouldn't be the one revealing Quinn's dating history, but he liked Sarah, and he liked who Quinn was with Sarah.
“His most recent girlfriend. They were on and off for like a year and a half. He called it off for good at the beginning of the season. She was a pretty standard NHL girlfriend: model, blonde,” he said.
"Standard?" her eyes flew wide as Sarah tried to talk herself down from the self doubt pouring into her system by the gallon. She couldn't be farther from a blonde model.
Brady picked up on her distress right away, “oh I didn't mean…” he trailed off. “Shit, Sarah, I didn't mean anything by that. Just that she was kind of a blank slate. I hated her.”
“You did? Why?”
“I always felt like she was just dating Quinn for clout, to get her name out there, but he couldn’t ever see it. It turned into this whole thing. Emma and I both hated her. She was just so obsessed with herself and how she looked. And Quinn’s not like that, you know? He’d wear the same outfit every day if he could.”
She snorted. Every time she saw Quinn, he was in a variation of three outfits: jeans and a jacket, athletic wear, or a game day suit.
“It was just a bad match, but it took him a while to see that,” Brady said.
Sarah nodded.
“Anyway,” Brady gestured widely. “All I’m saying is that I can tell you’re better for him than June, or any of the girls he dated in high school or college. You get him. And you compliment each other. And you're just nice and easy to talk to. I can tell you make him really happy."
“That's so nice Brady, thank you. He makes me really happy."
The wide grin Brady gave her in response made her feel all warm and mushy inside. It felt like reaching the top of a summit to gain Quinn's friends' trust.
"Have you slept together?" Emma asked.
Quinn shot a look at her, wide eyed and scandalized.
She shoved his shoulder gently, "oh, come on. You know Brady wants to know. He won't ask you, so I said I would."
A laugh lit up his face.
"So have you?"
Cheeks flushing pink, Quinn nodded.
"Was it good?"
He'd wanted to tell someone about it, but sex wasn't really something he ever discussed with his friends.
"So good," he admitted, "like, almost spiritual."
Her eyes widened, "on the first try?"
"Technically the second," he corrected. "The first try was two strokes and done."
She giggled, "don't tell him I told you but Brady was that same way our first time too."
A few days later, Quinn was on the phone with Sarah when Jack called. He ignored it in favor of calling him back when they were done, but he called again right after. “Hey. I have to go,” he said, feeling panic edge into his consciousness, “Jack is calling me a bunch.”
“Okay, I miss you,” she said.
“I miss you, too.”
Quinn answered the facetime call, “what’s wrong? Did something happen?” The last time Jack had called like this, Luke had been hurt.
Jack was glaring into the phone, a perfectly healthy looking Luke sitting next to him on what looked like a hotel room couch. “Fuck yes, something happened.”
“What?”
“I found out from Brady fucking Tkachuk that you have a girlfriend?”
Fuck.
They got together to call him at the same time? He was in some deep shit.
“What the hell, Quinn?” Luke asked.
“When did Brady tell you?” It was the wrong question, but he needed to know.
“We play the Sens tomorrow, and he comes up to me in the practice facility today all, ‘what do you think of Sarah?’ and I was like, ‘who’s Sarah?’ and then he told me that she’s your fucking girlfriend!” Jack yelled.
Luke leaned away from the noise with a wince.
Quinn grimaced. “Technically, she’s not my girlfriend,” he said.
“Bullshit! You didn’t even tell us you were dating someone! I thought we were close, Quinn!”
A heavy sigh moved Quinn's chest, “I just… I wanted to make sure before I told anyone else.”
“Mom knows,” Luke cut in.
Fuck.
“I asked her and she said she knew you were dating someone, but didn’t know it was that serious.”
He’d called her for advice when he found out Sarah’s mom had died. Both his parents had experience with grief he didn’t. It just so happened his mom had picked up first.
“I…” What could he say?
They glared at him through the phone some more.
“I didn’t want to keep it from you,” he said.
“Well, you didn’t tell us!” Luke said.
“I just… since June I wanted Brady to meet her before I told anyone else.”
“Why?”
“Because he was the only one who told me he didn’t like June!”
An awkward blanket of silence settled over all three of them.
“I didn’t want to tell anyone I was seeing someone if it was going to turn into another June.” As he said it, Quinn knew it was an excuse that didn’t really hold up. Sarah was so different from June that he shouldn’t have been comparing them at all. Brady even said so when they talked after their double date. He’d just been scared.
“And is it?” Jack asked.
“No,” he admitted, “she’s really great and I think we could go all the way.” It was the first time he’d dared to say it out loud.
“How long have you been dating?” Luke asked, incredulous.
“Two months.”
“Two fucking months?” Jack repeated, raking a hand into his hair, “Quinn, why didn’t you tell us?”
“I’m sorry, okay? I fucked up. I won’t keep it from you anymore.”
“You better not,” Jack said, glaring in a slightly softer way. “I want to see a picture of her.”
Quinn pulled one up from their walk three days previous and sent it to Luke. The sun had been setting, and the golden light had been so lovely, she asked to stop and take a selfie.
Luke held up his phone and Jack’s eyes widened. The way Quinn was smiling in that picture told him everything he needed to know.
“She’s pretty,” Luke said.
“Yeah,” Quinn agreed.
Jack was blinking silently in a way that Quinn found unnerving.
Finally he managed to say something, “what does she do?”
“She’s getting her masters in marine zoology at UBC and she does research at the aquarium.”
Jack felt like he’d been struck over the head. Not because Quinn had kept something this important from him, or because Sarah was unlike anyone he would have picked for his brother. He felt dumbfounded by the fact that he knew, in a way he could feel in his bones, everything was about to change.

hi!! i’m so so sorry i haven’t posted any content in a week but i’m back :)) i totally did not expect you guys to like that last one as much as you did but i appreciate it so much. this one is actually based off of an audio from my absolute favorite nsfw va ever so please please please go listen to it before you read. i kind of did some things different just for fun but the concept was too good not to write about. hope you enjoy<3 below is gonna be a link to jupiters audio :)
———————————————————————-
I flinch as the same stupid jump scare pops up as the last 15. If you told me this morning instead of having a chill day to recharge and cuddle with my beautiful girlfriend I'd be sitting in a movie theater watching a movie she was oh so excited to see that it deterred her from cuddling with me, I'd be pissed.
Which I fucking am. I'm sitting with my arms crossed, my lips in a pout and my eyebrows furrowed together just to make it all the more dramatic. This isn't even that aggravating I just wanna make her feel good so we can go home and she can hold me like I deserve after being so good for her all week.
"What's the matter baby?" I'm snapped out of my angered internal rant by abby's sexy raspy voice I have to pretend doesn't affect me so I can keep up my act. It's so hard when she's looking at me with that smirk on her face that makes my cheeks warm up.
"Nothing." I grumble, not very politely might I add. I can see her intake a deep breath trying to calm herself before she answers me. My attitude clearly being uncalled for. I know this isn't as big of a deal as I'm making it but I just want her attention so bad I'm losing it.
"You wanna try that again?" She asks. I flit my eyes over to her to check her demeanor and she's becoming more and more aggravated with me by the second which is valid I'm getting snappy with her but it's for a good reason. Kind of.
"Nope i'm good." I reassure her but she doesn't miss the way I roll my eyes at the end for good measure. I just want her to fucking touch me at this point it's what I've been craving all week but all she wants is to see a dumbass movie we could've watched in the comfort of our own home instead we're now surrounded by a bunch of college students who had nothing better to do.
"I really hope that it's just because it's dark in here i just saw your eyes roll" she assures me "because you would never ever be that rude to me right?"
"I don't know what you're talking about" i whisper to her,"just shut up and watch your movie you care about oh so much"
She raises her eyebrows at what I've just said to her. I'm practically shaking at what's to come. The anticipation is killing me. Is she gonna let us go home? Keep watching the movie? Or mayb-
My internal rambles are cut off by her snaking her hand between my thighs and cupping my heat. I bring my hand down to the arm of my chair and grip it tightly. The feeling of her large hand on my clothed cunt are nothing short of orgasmic.
"You know" she starts, leaning over whispering into my ear "I've been teasing you all week waiting for you to get this needy. I saw your puppy dog eyes when i came in from work waiting to be fucked like the good girl you are and knew I had to mess with you. I don't wanna see this stupid ass movie"
My breathing hitches when I feel her pull down my panties from under my skirt and the cold air hits my pussy. I groan watching her slide my panties into her pocket.
"But what I do wanna see, is you try to keep quiet while i fuck you around all of these people." She says in a husky voice that's making me practically drool.
I gasp at the revelation and that's when I finally notice the shape of her strap sitting pretty in her grey sweatpants. I squeeze my eyes shut when she starts to use her thumb to rub circles onto my clit not starting off slow at all but going at a pace that's making me soaking wet. I let out a strained whimper but remember where we are so I quickly jerk my head over to her and shove my face into her neck leaving hot kisses to try and quiet myself.
"Fuck, you're so hot" she groans,"I'm gonna put my fingers in now okay?"
"yes yes mhm," i cry pathetically to her, feeling so embarrassed at how worked up i already am.
"I bet they're gonna slide right in at how fucking soaked you are" she practically laughs at me "such a whore, hm?"
I nod frantically grabbing onto her bicep hoping she gets the memo and puts her fingers inside me.
"nuh uh" she tutts "when I ask a question you answer it"
"Yes yes abby i'm your whore, all yours" i whine," please."
"shhh" she says "need you to be quiet baby, I know you're needy but do you want everyone to know that you're my little whore?"
"Actually, don't answer that" she rephrases, knowing what my answer was gonna be.
I go to make a snarky remark but am cut off when she skips warming me up and slams two fingers into me.
"oh god please" I don't even know what I'm begging for at this point I just want her.
My brain has turned into complete mush because all I can think about is the way she's curling her fingers just right into the spot that has my eyes rolling into the back of my head and my teeth biting into my lip so hard I can feel myself bleeding a bit.
I cry out desperately when a particularly harsh thrust is delivered and I let my pitiful moans out.
I whip my head up when she stops thrusting her fingers into me to see her practically seething at me.
"Your moans are for me and for me only" she orders,"so what's the issue hm?"
"i know i know m'sorry" I apologize "i'm trying to stay quiet but I can't"
"fix it" she says very sternly.
"yes ma'am" i respond politely.
I immediately fuck up when she slips her fingers back into me with no warning so of course I let out a small moan I couldn't mask. She smirks knowing I was gonna do that and looks up at me darkly.
"poor baby, doesn't know how to listen" she says in a sweet tone but what she's about to do to me is everything but sweet, "it's okay honey, I'll help with that."
Before I can ask what she's gonna do, two fingers get shoved down my throat.
"Since you don't know how to be quiet I'm gonna do it for you huh baby" she asks, knowing I can't answer.
She continues what she's doing under my skirt but instead of just pumping her fingers at an incomprehensible pace, she adds her thumb, continuing the circle motion she was doing on my clit earlier. The combination of the two makes me double over gripping the arms of my theater chair tightly trying to get some type of leverage.
The erotic feeling of this combined with that fact that we could get caught at any moment makes my let out a shaken moan into her fingers that are covered in my saliva. My abdomen begins to tighten when she continues hitting that same spot inside of me that makes me scream. I've had some of the most life altering orgasms when I'm with her but this time it feels completely different.
"mm i-" i try to speak to her through the fingers that i mine as well be choking on with a frantic look on my face at the feeling that's washing over me.
"I know I know lovie," she hums working me through it,"just let it happen"
I nod at her, feeling safe.
"fuck fuck I'm coming, oh my god please" i chant out a mantra of her name and curses as a feeling hits me I've never felt before all at once. My body is twitching all over and my legs are shaking so violently in my seat that she lays her arm across them so no one notices. The feeling that's happening in my stomach is making hot tears stream down my cheeks.
"holy fuck that was hot" she says gruffly after I come down from the most intense orgasm I've ever had.
I look down to find a small puddle of my orgasm in the seat below me realizing that I just-
"I've never made you squirt before what the fuck" abby is looking at me astonished.
"I made a mess" i look at her with a pout slightly embarrassed at this new experience but also feeling like I'm on cloud nine.
"mhm," she hums, pulling me onto her lap facing her "and you're gonna make another one on my lap."
I'm caught off guard when she slides her sweats down just enough to where her dick comes out of her pants. She grabs onto it sliding it back and forth on my sensitive folds making me shudder. I remember we're in a movie theater when she grabs the blanket we brought with us and places it over the both of us to cover the lewd scene happening underneath.
"Can't have everyone seeing your pretty little ass grind on my cock now can we?" she questions me.
"no abby" i whine, "may I have a kiss"
"Of course you can angel" she smiles leaning in planting a long, loving kiss on my lips that reassures me that we're both on the same page and I'm always safe with her.
"Now be good for me and fuck yourself on my cock" she orders, to which I immediately comply to.
I grab onto her shoulders for leverage and bounce lightly up and down onto her to get any sort of friction getting rid of the achy feeling in my tummy from how much I've wanted her.
"The next time you think about being a little cunt to me instead of telling me what you need" she punctuates her sentence by thrusting up into me very harshly making me bite down on her shoulder "I hope you remember how hard it's been to stay quiet in a movie theater and how if you would've just asked for what you wanted at home I would've given it to you and more"
I continue grinding fast and hard on her lap feeling her cock bulge out of my tummy at the angle.
"m'sorry just want you now please" i whine into her ear.
"I know you are baby, it's okay" she reassures me.
My orgasm is coming much faster than the first one due to how sensitive I am so all I need are a few more thrust before that familiar feeling in my belly starts to form.
"god i can hear how soaked you are over the movie" she whispers into my ear trailing hot kisses down my neck. I gasp out into the air when I'm hit with a harsh thrust from her and her very last kiss lands on my boob where she stays, sucking and biting down softly creating bright red hickies.
This is all I need before I'm thrashing against her begging for mercy as she notices my lack of grinds, taking over and fucking up into me clearly not caring about the people around us helping me ride my orgasm out.
"abby, fuck, they're gonna hear me" i cry to her.
"shhh it's ok darling keep going" she hushes me bring her hand down between us rubbing my clit in circles as my orgasm ends making my legs shake in overstimulation.
I freeze when I hear a voice other than abby's but before I can look my head is being covered by a blanket.
"Is she alright" the other voice asks.
"yeah she's fine" abby says in a bored tone clearly pissed we were interrupted.
"just checking" the person says to which abby hums to.
"thanks" is all I hear from her before the person's footsteps lightly fade away.
Abby lifts the blanket from my head smoothing back my hair and pecking my lips three times.
"round three at home?"

just got out of a late showing of Talk To Me and I have thoughts!
⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
so let's dive in while it's still fresh in my mind
Grief is a heavy player in this movie and that's what makes it so good. So much of what happens is because of Mia not being able to let go or face her grief. she's vulnerable to the spirits/demons/souls because she's lonely and sad and she's trying to find anything to make her feel.
The opening scene was absolutely amazing! it sets up how fucking crazy the movie is going to be. It brings us into the world where everything is for views, everyone is entertainment even when they're suffering. It's not the focus of the film but they way social media guides the story is interesting.
to add to the previous point, every time someone does the "game"/seance, the others whip out their phones with lightening speed. They laugh, they point their cameras at the possessed and scream and shout in joy regardless of what the possessed is doing. we see this in Daniel's first go which is a weird sexual possession that leaves him embarrassed and scared, whereas the group is laughing and recording. it's also what brings Mia to the hand in the first place, she keeps seeing the videos posted of people playing the game and having "fun"
I really liked the kangaroo scene because it was so jarring and the foreshadowing was just mwah. wonderful.
I will admit Mia got annoying because you want her to know that she should stop, but she won't. I was literally trying not to yell at the screen lol
on the other hand (ha hand), I get it. She was desperate, grief will do that to you, she just wanted answers and closure. And that can drive you mad.
The gore/violence in the movie was so good for a possession film! The Riley scene was intense and had the small amount of us in the theater squirming and yelling and gasping. And the limbo/purgatory scene although brief was not what I was expecting and it blew me away, it gave cronenbergian/yuzna's Society [1989] vibes.
the cast was very very good! Sophie Wilde played Mia with such an intensity and passion that drew me in even when I didn't care for her character's actions. And the supporting cast stood their own which was awesome because sometimes in horror those other characters can sometimes get pushed aside or fade into the background.
the sound design had me so tense! I swear I thought I was hearing things and not sure if it was me or the movie. We don't talk enough about sound when it comes to horror. It's honestly what really scares me, more than the actual scenes, it's the score that revs up my anxiety and fear.
All in all, the movie was really good! I'm not even a huge fan of possession horror but I was excited to see it and really glad that I did. I know it's been greenlit for a sequel which would be interesting depending on where they take the story but I'm definitely more interested in the prequel that they've already made!! I hope it gets picked up by A24 like the sequel is because I definitely would like to know more about the hand and mythology behind the "game".
Just to add on some more personal thoughts: It's interesting to me how often grief plays a role in horror. From Midsommar to Hereditary to The Babadook to classics like Pet Sematary, the list goes on. We are vulnerable when we're grieving, easier to let bad things in or ignore the people who love us who are trying to help. When I watch horror about grief, it gets to me more often than any others because I've known grief like a childhood friend. It's been with me my entire life. But I've learned to handle it better than I used to, and with movies like this it's a safe place for me to let it consume me, let it be messy and overwhelming like it is for the characters in the movie.
Anyways to wrap this up please go see Talk To Me! If you like possession movies you'll like it, if you like movies with deeper layers you'll like it, it feels like there's a little bit of everything to appeal to most horror fans.

After a date with Elijah, you want to take things to the next level and he makes you feel like the only boy in the world.
♡♡ Thanks for the request @elijahmikaelsonsboy ! this was a fun challenge and I hope it's what you wanted (I truly believe that Elijah is a pansexual king... he had chemistry with Damon~) ♡♡
2.8k words - Warnings: pure smut no plot, transmale!reader, virgin!reader, sprinkle of dom!elijah, blowjob, lots of praise...
Tumblr media
You adjusted your shirt and tie in the mirror, smoothing out your hair for the fourth time. There was this piece that just wouldn't stay down no matter what you did. You wondered how Elijah managed to never have a hair out of place, you made a mental note to ask him.
It was finally here, the night you were going to tell him. The night you would confess that you loved him. The plan was to tell him after your date... Or maybe during. You weren't sure. He had said it was just a casual date, nothing fancy. But you wanted to impress him, so you made sure there wasn't a single wrinkle found on the dress shirt and pants you were wearing. Your tie was a perfect knot, the shoes you wore had not a scuff on them.
He arrived at your door looking amazing as always. His hair was perfectly styled, his suit a perfect fit, and the way his dark eyes pierced through yours... It made you weak in the knees. He smiled and offered you his arm, kissing your cheek. "You look very handsome tonight."
You smiled back, kissing him. "Thank you. You look very handsome yourself."
You spent most of the ride there making idle chit chat, just talking about each other's days and such. You were so happy to have him in your life, sometimes you couldn't believe how lucky you were.
When you met him you had made the assumption that he was only interested in women. You had no idea that he was pansexual until he kissed you. You were surprised, of course, but pleasantly so. After that, he had been taking you on dates every other week, and you fell more and more in love with him as time went on.
You were ready to take things to the next level, but you were nervous about it. You had never gone all the way with anyone before, and the last thing you wanted was for it to be disappointing for him.
It didn't help that he was so much more experienced than you. You had discussed it one night while cuddling, and he said it wasn't a big deal. You felt better after that, but you still worried.
Tonight he took you to go see a movie, it was one of those big blockbuster films that was a long awaited sequel. You had seen the trailer and were excited, and when you saw the posters and the crowd at the theater you got even more excited.
It was the perfect date. You couldn't focus on the movie, however, because your mind was racing with the possibility of having sex for the first time. You were nervous about a number of things, him seeing your body, what it would feel like and how you would react, not being any good at it. The list went on and on.
After the movie, you drove to his place and ordered some takeout. You tried to keep a conversation going, but you kept spacing out. He noticed your lack of interest in the conversation and placed a hand over yours, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Are you okay?"
You smiled at him and squeezed his hand back. "I'm fine. Sorry I'm being quiet. Just thinking."
He leaned over and kissed your forehead. "That's alright. What is on your mind?"
You leaned in and kissed him, gently. He responded in kind, moving his lips against yours. He pulled away, brushing his fingers along your cheek.
"I've just been thinking a lot lately. About us." You whispered, looking into his eyes.
"Thinking about us, huh? Well, I'm all ears." He gave you another quick kiss, casually playing with your tie.
You swallowed hard, "you know how I've never..?"
He nodded. "I do."
"I want to."
He gave you a gentle smile, rubbing his hand up and down your arm. "You're sure?"
"Positive."
He kissed your neck. "Well, I am always up for the task." He chuckled
You nodded, blushing a bit as he stood and took your hand, leading you upstairs. He opened his bedroom door and pulled you inside, kissing you softly. He knew how nervous you were, and he didn't want to rush you.
He sat on the bed and pulled you onto his lap, his hands on your hips. You draped your arms over his shoulders and pressed your lips to his, closing your eyes.
Elijah began to undo your tie, then the top two buttons of your shirt. He trailed kisses from your mouth to your jaw and then down to your neck, pausing at the juncture of your shoulder. He gently scraped his teeth across your skin and you gasped, clutching his shoulders.
"You smell nice, is that my cologne?" he asked, pressing his lips to your throat.
"It is," you breathed, running a hand through his hair. "I may have borrowed some."
"Mmhm." He kissed you again, his tongue slipping past your lips.
You let him control the kiss, melting into him as his tongue explored your mouth. Your tongues slid together, fighting for dominance. He pulled back, panting.
He kissed your cheek, moving his hands up your sides and onto your chest. He slipped his hands inside your shirt, his thumbs grazing over your nipples.
"Is this okay?"
You nodded, biting your lip.
"Use your words, handsome,”
"Y-yes." You managed to get out.
He pinched one of your nipples and you gasped, gripping his shirt.
"That's my good boy." He purred.
He took your shirt off and tossed it onto the floor. He ran his fingers down your sides, tracing the outline of your ribs.
He pressed his mouth to one of your nipples, swirling his tongue around the hardening nub. You gripped his hair, arching your back.
"So sensitive," he murmured.
He moved to the other nipple, sucking on it until you were squirming in his lap. You could feel him growing hard beneath you, and you blushed.
He lifted his head and smirked. "Feels good, huh?"
"Yeah." You whispered, blushing more.
"You're so cute when you blush." He grinned, pressing his lips to yours again.
He undid your belt, and unbuttoned and unzipped your pants. Reaching inside, he touched you through your underwear.
"Oh, someone's already so wet." He chuckled, rubbing his thumb over the damp fabric.
You bit your lip, grinding into his hand. His hands felt so good on you, his thumb sliding across your clit with just the right amount of pressure.
He pulled your pants and underwear down for better access. You moaned at the feeling of his fingers stroking you, teasing your entrance.
"Look at you, all worked up and we've barely even started." He whispered.
He pulled his hand away, and you groaned in frustration. You tugged on his tie, pulling him in for a kiss. He chuckled and bit down gently on your lip.
"Patience, mister."
You ignored him and began to unbutton his shirt, running your fingers over his bare chest. Your fingers moving through his soft chest hair.
"Can I touch you a little bit?" You asked shyly, running your fingers down his abs.
"Of course."
You unbuttoned his pants and tugged them down, freeing his erection. It was big, and the thought of it filling you up was exciting and scary at the same time. You stroked him, wrapping your fingers around the shaft and pumping slowly.
"Mmm." He groaned, leaning his head back.
You continued stroking him, rubbing your thumb across the tip. He moaned, thrusting his hips up.
You moved off his lap and onto your knees in front of him, you never had done this before, but you wanted to make him feel good. You looked up at him, and he smiled down at you.
"You don't have to." He whispered, running a hand through your hair, messing it up a bit.
You smiled, kissing the head of his cock. You took the tip into your mouth, swirling your tongue around it.
"Show me how?" You asked, blushing a bit.
He guided you, placing his hand on the back of your head. "Suck on the tip. Lick the underside. Use your tongue. You can use your hands, too."
You did as he instructed, taking him in as far as you could without gagging. Your cheeks felt hot, and you could feel yourself getting wetter.
"That's it, baby. You're doing so good." He whispered.
You closed your eyes and bobbed your head, taking him deeper with every movement. He groaned, tugging on your hair.
The sounds he was making were turning you on, and you felt yourself clench.
"If you keep doing that, I'm going to cum."
You pulled back, releasing his cock with a pop. "Will you to cum in my mouth?"
A flash of something dark and dangerous crossed his face, he gave you a crooked smile and his voice dropped lower, "aren't you a dirty boy,"
You blushed, looking down at his cock. It was shiny with your saliva, and was leaking precum. You leaned forward and licked it, lapping up his release.
He groaned, and pulled you back onto his lap, kissing you hungrily. His hands tore away your pants and underwear, leaving you naked and vulnerable. He gripped your hips and licked along your chest, biting on your nipples and then soothing the sting with his tongue.
You began to tremble a bit, knowing what the next step was. Elijah noticed and stopped, stroking your cheek.
"You okay?" He asked.
You nodded.
"Just nervous, that's all."
"I'll be gentle, I promise."
You kissed him again, grinding your hips down into his. He reached down and rubbed your clit in slow circles, making you moan.
"You don't have to be that gentle," you breathed, feeling lusty and wild.
He let out a soft hum, slipping a finger into you, watching your eyebrows arch up. He chuckled, the sound reverberating deep within his chest.
"You're so sensitive," he mused.
He began to pump his finger in and out, watching as your mouth fell open and your eyes closed.
"I bet I could make you cum like this, just with my fingers," he mused, slipping another finger inside.
"Mmm." You moaned, rolling your hips.
"Or maybe with my tongue," he murmured, leaning in to press his lips to your neck.
"Elijah," you breathed, "stop teasing me."
He chuckled. "But it's so much fun," he said, punctuating his words with a particularly hard thrust of his fingers.
You groaned, bucking your hips. He smirked, pressing his lips to yours. He suddenly flipped you over, pinning you down with his body, and then his hand was between your legs, his fingers pumping in and out of you, his thumb rubbing slow circles against your sensitive nub.
He let out a low growl, leaning in to nip at your ear. "Naughty boy, making a mess, all flushed and sweaty." He whispered.
He pulled his fingers out and positioned himself at your entrance. You tensed, looking up at him.
"Do you want me to stop?" He asked, stroking your cheek.
You shook your head. "No."
He kissed you, pushing inside of you. You gasped, biting down on his lip. You felt so full, so stretched, it was a little painful and yet... It felt so right with him.
He stilled, giving you time to adjust. You took a few deep breaths, trying to relax.
"Eyes on me," he whispered, cupping your cheek.
You looked up at him, and the love and lust shining in his eyes took your breath away.
He began to move, slowly, rolling his hips against yours. You moaned, arching your back, trying to match his rhythm.
He nipped at your neck then moved down to your chest, biting at your nipples, before sucking on them, making you whimper and squirm.
"Do you like that? When I suck on your cute, little nipples?" He whispered.
"Y-yes."
He hummed, his teeth scraping against the sensitive flesh. Your hands tugged on his hair, urging him on.
He chuckled, sucking on the bud. He released it with a wet pop, moving to the other one. You moaned, your hips bucking.
He groaned, picking up the pace. He took your hands and pinned them to the bed, intertwining his fingers with yours. He watched your expressions, your eyes shut tight, your mouth slightly parted, a flush on your cheeks.
He was honored that you trusted him enough to be your first. You were a beautiful soul, and he was grateful for the privilege.
"You are such a good boy, all nice and wet for me. So good, my beautiful, precious boy," he murmured.
"Elijah," you gasped.
He grunted, kissing your lips. He rolled his hips, thrusting deep and hard. He felt you tighten around him at his praise, and he smiled, he enjoyed learning what turns you on..
He nuzzled your neck, sucking on the skin, leaving little bites and hickeys. You arched your back, wrapping your legs around his waist, meeting his thrusts.
"You like when I bite you, baby?"
"Yes." You whimpered.
He nibbled on your earlobe, his warm breath fanning over your skin.
"What about when I do this?" His thrusts became harder, slamming you with such a force you moved a bit on the bed.
You nodded, too blissed out for words.
"Or when I do this?" He let go of one of your hands and trailed his fingers down your chest and stomach, pressing down on your lower abdomen.
Your eyes widened and you moaned loudly, the sudden pressure almost too much.
He smirked, nuzzling your neck, licking and biting, his tongue and teeth tracing along the tendons of your neck.
His grip was strong, his fingers digging into your flesh. His thrusts became faster, deeper, and harder, pounding you into the mattress.
"Do you want to cum, mister y/n?"
"Y-yes."
He kissed your lips. "Beg me," he growled.
You were surprised, but the roughness was thrilling. "Please, please let me cum."
"Mmm, not yet," he purred.
You groaned, your legs beginning to shake.
"Elijah," you pleaded, your voice cracking.
He chuckled, "such a good boy, begging so well."
You clenched around him, panting and whimpering. You could feel Elijah losing control, his pace becoming erratic. His breath was coming in harsh gasps.
He kissed you, his tongue delving deep into your mouth. His thrusts were wild and desperate, the sound of flesh slapping together loud in the quiet room.
"Cum for me, my boy," he commanded, his voice a deep growl.
You obeyed, clenching around him. You cried out, your eyes rolling back in your head, stars exploding behind your eyelids.
"So perfect," he murmured, pressing his lips to your throat.
You collapsed, panting, sweat trickling down your back. He released your hand, his fingers ghosting along your skin.
"Are you alright?" He asked, his tone tender.
"Yeah." You whispered, looking up at him.
He kissed your forehead. "It wasn't too much?" He asked, cupping your cheek.
"No." You said breathlessly, your mind still spinning from the intensity of it all.
"Good." He pulled out of you, and you grimaced. He noticed, and his eyebrows furrowed. "I didn't hurt you, did I?"
"Just a bit sore, but I'll be fine." You assured him, reaching up and brushing your thumb across his cheek.
He pressed a kiss to your palm, then got out of the bed, scooping you up.
"I know just the thing," he said, carrying you to the bathroom.
He set you down on the edge of the tub, and started the bath. Once the water was warm, he helped you in, and then climbed in behind you.
"Lean back," he said softly.
You did, resting against his chest. He gently washed your body, being careful to avoid the more sensitive areas.
"Thank you 'lijah," you whispered.
"Of course," he said, his voice quiet and soft.
He kissed your neck, wrapping his arms around you. You closed your eyes, feeling warm and safe.
He ran his fingers through your hair, making it stick up in weird places. He chuckled, his chest rumbling against your back.
"I learned so much about you today," he said, a teasing lilt to his tone.
"Did you now?" You asked, your cheeks heating.
"Indeed, I did." He chuckled.
"Like what?"
He leaned down, pressing his lips to your ear. "Like how sensitive you are," he whispered. "How much you like being praised." He nuzzled the crook of your neck, inhaling your scent.
"Mmm." You sighed, relaxing.
"And," he added, "how good you are at begging."
You giggled, covering your face.
"But I didn't get to explore all the ways to make you beg," he teased.
"We have time," you said, smiling.
He hummed, kissing the side of your head. "I love you," he murmured.
"I love you too," you said, turning to look up at him.
You would never forget this night and how special Elijah had made it. How he made you feel. How loved you were.
It was perfect and you couldn't wait for more.

[A3!] ★ Main Story | Act 14 - DREAM CATCHER | Episode 7 - Medium-Hot Review
Tumblr media
Yuki: The clean copy is done.
Hato: Thank you. I appreciate the help. Well then, you’re free to go for today.
Yuki: Good work.
Koro: Woof, woof!
Tumblr media
Yuki: You went for a walk just a bit ago.
Hato: Koro, it’s time for Rurikawa-kun to go home, so he can’t play with you anymore. It’s time for you to say goodbye.
Hato: Ah, that reminds me… I’ve been asked to design costumes for an upcoming play, but I’m a bit short on staff…
Hato: Since you have experience with stage costumes, I was wondering if you’d be able to help me, Rurikawa-kun.
Hato: I can’t give you any of the details yet, but have you heard of Aiko Kataoka-san? They do costumes for Hollywood movies--.
Yuki: --I’ve heard of them.
Hato: Good. Since you do costume design, I was certain you would.
Hato: What would you say if I told you that the same Kataoka-san is involved with this project?
Yuki: I’d love to do it, but… I’m more busy with my theater company at the moment.
Hato: Right. It is an important time for you guys right now, isn’t it?
Hato: Well, I’m sure there’ll be another opportunity like this at some point, so I’ll let you know when that time comes. Good job today.
Tumblr media
Yuki: …

Passerby A: Yua Troupe’s performance was so novel and interesting~!
Passerby B: I honestly thought they just created a theater troupe for clout, but they called in some real hardcore theater people to be on their production team, so it was way better than I thought it’d be!
Passerby A: The contents of it had that typical Yua Troupe feel that gives things a sense of stability, and the audience was packed with OG fans, so overall, the whole thing seemed to be going pretty strong.
Passerby B: I’m gonna write a review on Encom!
Yuki: (Encom, huh… I’ll check it out just a bit, for the sake of researching other theater troupes.)
Yuki: …
Yuki: (That Yua Troupe they were just talking about was selected as a notable troupe. And they were ranked pretty high during the pre-voting…)
Review: “And the costumes were cool too! They didn’t look a whole lot like stage costumes, but Yua Troupe’s got such good taste~.”
Yuki: …
Yuki: (There’s a MANKAI Company review too… I don’t know if I really want to see something like this, but, well, it’s for research…)
Review: “Spring Troupe’s performance was literally the best thing ever! I never thought they would’ve done a sequel, but the way you could feel how much they’ve grown had me sobbing!”
Review: “I can’t wait for Summer Troupe’s either~. If they go with this trend, that means it’ll be a sequel to their debut, right?”
Yuki: (Seems like people generally liked it…)
Review: “The costumes had that same stable feel they always have. But don’t you think that as Yuki Rurikawa’s become more established as a creator, his costumes have started to lack a bit of surprise and unexpectedness?”
Review: “Maybe I’m just noticing it more after seeing Yua Troupe. I guess it’s just inevitable when you have the same designer do things every single time~.”

Troupe Member: Good work today, Ikaruga-kun. There are only a few more shows left, but let’s keep up the good work until the end.
Misumi: Ka~y! Good work~.
Misumi: (Being on a stage other than MANKAI’s was a little weird at first, but once I got used to it, it’s been fun~.)
Misumi: (It’s interesting to see all the different actors, scripts, and stage direction~.)
Syu: …Good work.
Misumi: Huh? What are you doing here~?
Syu: My bad. I didn’t have your contact info, so I just had to wait for ya to come out.
Tumblr media
Misumi: Did you see my performance?
Syu: Yeah. I happened to know someone who was in the show, so I came to watch and was surprised to see you there too.
Syu: While we’re at it, I thought I’d invite ya to come have a drink with me.
Misumi: Sure~. And after that, we can exchange our LIMEs~.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Syu: So you’ve been doin’ a few guest performances here and there lately, huh? Didn’t think ya were the type.
Misumi: Director-san and Tenma and all the others suggested it. It’s been really fun getting out there!
Syu: Is that so? Well, with actin’ talent as good as yours, I’m sure you’ll be in high demand.
Misumi: And they also said that I can grow by gaining lotsa experience on different stages~!
Misumi: I’ve also gotta try even harder for the Fleur Award.
Syu: Huh, I’m surprised you’ve thought about it that much.
Syu: Did Hakkaku-san teach ya about theater?
Misumi: Nope. But he showed me videos of old MANKAI Company performances~.
Syu: I see. Well, given the way Hakkaku-san was, I dunno if he was really the type to take his grandkid by the hand and teach ‘em everything he knows step-by-step.
Misumi: What was it like performing on stage with one of Gramps’s scripts?
Syu: Let me think… Well, simply put, it was excitin’.
Syu: I like Hakkaku-san’s scripts and I was happy to be the first to read ‘em before they were released to the public.
Syu: Hakkaku-san’s scripts ain’t just interestin’ to talk about, they’re pretty actor-friendly too.
Syu: He made sure to think about how to make each and every role shine onstage.
Syu: You could really feel that he trusted ya as an actor, which in turn got ya fired up.
Misumi: I see~. I wish I coulda also been on Gramps’s stage before he died~.
Syu: Did you start actin’ when you joined the troupe?
Misumi: Yep.
Syu: Gotcha…
Syu: Your actin’ has its moments where it shines, but it lacks depth. If there’s anythin’ you should be more aware of in the future, it’s that.
Tumblr media
Misumi: Depth…?
Syu: Ya can’t control your own life experiences, but ya can experience the lives of many different actors on stage.
Syu: The more experiences ya have, the more depth your actin’ will have.
Syu: In that sense, you’ve made a good move by adding guest performances to your deck.
Syu: I know you’re prolly busy with the Fleur Award right now, but if you’re interested, get in touch with me. If it’s you were talkin’ about, I’m always ready to welcome ya.
Misumi: Okay, got it~.

Review: Wish (2023) [SPOILERS]
Tumblr media
Evening, everyone! Tonight my mother and I went to go see Disney's most recent film, Wish, which fortunately came to theaters in my area right before its formal American release date. I'd been very curious to see how this tribute to Disney's last 100 years of filmmaking would turn out, and now that I've seen it...well, I have to be honest, I was a little disappointed. I want to be very clear both that I was going into this with a rather sunny outlook and that there are things I really liked in this film...but overall, it felt like a lot of the good ideas it had were only half-baked, and I found myself -- forgive me -- "wishing for something more" than what we got.
For a more comprehensive deep-dive...a cut!
The Good!
Tumblr media
+The single best element in this film for me was Chris Pine's performance as our villain, Magnifico. There are definitely some things I can critique about Magnifico's overall storyline and "character arc" further down, but Chris was clearly having a grand old time being an egotistical, sassy jerkwad, and it totally showed. Even in his villain song This is The Thanks I Get?, which just screamed "passive-aggressive abusive parent," you can hear how much fun Chris was having in the studio, recording it. I just about always enjoyed when Magnifico was on screen, and I actually did really like the idea that a lot of his villainy is rooted in him being obsessed with control over everyone and everything. In a weird way, Magnifico's turn to the Dark Side parallels Anakin Skywalker's in the sense that he lost so much in the past that he's determined to never lose anything important to him again -- especially the power he's accrued to make himself feel strong, after having felt so powerless. I find that very interesting, and I kind of wish that aspect was really highlighted more in the story, but we'll talk about that later.
Tumblr media
+Asha was a likable enough heroine, even if I found her to be a lot like a two-way fusion of Mulan and Anna placed in a vaguely Snow-White-ish role in her clearly Seven-Dwarf-inspired friend group. Ariana DeBose portrayed her rather well, both acting and singing-wise. I also liked the "social justice" bent to Asha's character where she wants better things not just for herself and her family, but also Rosas overall -- in the French translation of her main song "This Wish," they even push this further by having Asha wish "to see the world happy again someday." We haven't seen a heroine really express this kind of desire for a positive change in the world since Esmeralda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and that's cool! Plus representation in mainstream media for previously underrepresented groups is always nice. ^.^
+As much as I don't think they all got enough focus as individuals, I liked Asha's friend group! Especially the fact that it is a friend group made up of people that are around the same age as our protagonist, which -- let's be honest -- isn't that common for Disney heroines. Often with "sidekick groups," you're more likely to have situations like Cinderella with the mice (who are more like cutesy sidekicks than equals) or Snow White with the Dwarfs (who are all quite a bit older than our heroine)...so a friend group made up of peers with their own personalities and motivations was kind of fun.
Tumblr media
+The setting of Rosas itself could be pretty. I liked a lot of the Mediterranean-inspired architecture, especially inside Magnifico's tower.
+The combination of 3D and 2D-esque animation was also interesting! It really served to give the film its own distinctive visual style that sets it apart from other Disney projects, which I always appreciate.
Tumblr media
+Star was...cute. Obviously just designed to sell plushies and definitely reminded me way too much of Kirby, but cute enough. I do think it's kind of cool that they're never gendered at all in the entire movie, because it'd be silly to think of a sweet little androgynous ball of stardust as being specifically male or female.
+I liked the idea of Simon "betraying" Asha, only to be turned into a pawn by Magnifico in the process, but not being treated unsympathetically by the story for it. Didn't love the full execution of the idea, but hey, that's what the negative section is for.
+The idea of everyone finding the power inside of themselves to stand up against Magnifico (because they're "all stars," and presumably all have the magic needed to make their wishes come true) was a little predictable, but still sweet. I have problems with how the film wrote it (which we'll get to), but the idea itself was wholesome and fitting.
Tumblr media
+I like several of the songs, just on their own -- I added This Wish and Knowing What I Know Now on my ITunes as soon as I first heard them prior to the film's release, and now I've added At All Costs too: it's a really pretty duet! (Gorgeous work, Chris and Ariana!) I'll leave my praise here, though, because sadly the soundtrack is going to get a lot of discussion in the less positive section.
The Not-So-Good...
Tumblr media
+This film being "Disney's 100th anniversary film" really got in the way of this movie telling a compelling and unique story sometimes. The whole movie really twisted itself into a pretzel trying to check off all the usual Disney tropes, and there were points that certain choices made the story seem incredibly stilted. For instance, one common Disney trope is a dead parent, so of course Asha has lost her father -- but we learn so little about him and he ends up playing such a small role in Asha's arc and story that it seems like an unnecessary detail. Asha's grandfather honestly plays more of a role in Asha's motivation throughout most of the film, so it would've made just as much sense to have Asha's grandfather be the one who believed in stars having power, rather than her father. Another example is the concept of the cute animal sidekick who's just there to make jokes -- as much as Valentino the goat didn't annoy me personally, he added just about nothing of value to the story whatsoever aside from comic relief, in contrast to other funny sidekicks like Sebastian from The Little Mermaid or Olaf from Frozen, who also serve a plot purpose and have a developed relationship with the protagonists. Then there's Asha being cut from the same "naive, awkward, wide-eyed idealist" cloth as many of our Disney Revival heroines like Anna, Rapunzel, and up to a certain point even Mirabel are; Star being in a similar vein to cutesy, innocent sidekicks like Pua, Crikee, and Baymax while Valentino is more akin to sassier, comic ones like Mushu and Sisu; her friends literally being based on the Seven Dwarfs from Snow White; our heroine getting a pretty standard "I Want" song and the villain getting his own solo number that doesn't really take any risks...oh yes, and we mustn't forget the trope of the Storybook opening, which (I'm sorry) I know was supposed to be a reference to Snow White, Cinderella, and Enchanted, but just gave me Shrek vibes the entire time. I was waiting for Shrek to rip out the page and use it for toilet paper any minute. It just felt a lot of the time like the movie was very paint-by-numbers, rather than throwing in much that was surprising or different.
+This isn't even touching all of the pointless meta references to other Disney movies. Asha wearing the Fairy Godmother's cloak and getting a wand like hers at the end -- the mushrooms crowing "we love crazy!" the way Hans did in Love is an Open Door -- Asha riding the reindeer the way Kristoff did in Frozen 2 -- Magnifico using green smoke hands a la Ursula -- the ending with those obvious Wendy and Peter Pan look-alikes, come on, really??? That was just painful.
Tumblr media
+As much as Magnifico was an awesome idea for a character and Chris Pine's performance was beyond entertaining, the movie did not always write him as well as they could've. From the very start, we see this guy is an egotistical control freak -- obsessed with his own image, incredibly hard-to-please, arrogant, vain, desperate for attention and unwavering praise and adoration from all of his subjects, and determined to keep an iron grip on everyone else's wishes because of the power it gives him. He's ALREADY a terrible person, from the start -- and yet the film tries to introduce this dark magic book that gets no explanation or backstory whatsoever and has no real characterization or presence, so it leaves no real impact on the audience corrupting him and making him a bad person, when it didn't need to! Magnifico was already the villain this film needed! Just let him fall head-first into madness without the book prompting anything! Even if Magnifico "lost everything" in the past, that doesn't make him a good person, if he takes everyone's wishes away from them and hoards them all to himself, only to grant a few now and again when it would make him look good.
+This above point actually leads nicely into one change I really, really wish the film had been ballsy enough to make -- have Asha already be Magnifico's apprentice, not trying to become it at the start of the story. Give our villain and hero a real relationship, with history that started before the events of this film! Asha lost her father at the age of 12...how interesting would it have been -- whether to make Magnifico more of an anti-villain or show how manipulative he really is -- if he'd tried to fill that fatherly role for our main character and twist her to serve his ends? What if At All Costs was rewritten to be about Magnifico not just being determined to hold onto all of the kingdom's wishes, but also this apprentice he sees as an extension of him and his legacy, while Asha is determined to protect this Star she's accidentally summoned and the suppressed wish of hers it represents? This change would've made Asha's break with Magnifico so much more powerful for both of them -- it would've both justified Magnifico's descent into madness and given Asha more reason to feel like it was her responsibility to stop Magnifico. You even could've then played more with Asha's relationship with Queen Amaya too, in this kind of a scenario.
Tumblr media
+Oh yeah, and on that note, Queen Amaya. OOH, this really annoyed me -- okay. So this woman is supposed to be a good guy, in this story. But as I touched on earlier, Magnifico was already a pretty awful person, hoarding people's wishes away in order to make himself powerful. Was Amaya truly so blind to that? Did she truly never question anything, ever? But no, really, she only turns on Magnifico after he starts using the dark magic book and actively threatens her. Only that makes her turn from him, and it's pretty damn immediate. Now okay, I hear you saying, it's like Amaya sings in Knowing What I Know Now, right? "The good in him, I've watched it melt // I was blinded by the love I felt"? Excuse me, lady -- but Magnifico wasn't a good person, before. He was just playing a part so as to stay powerful and adored by the masses. And if the story wants to claim otherwise, and act like that dark magic book was responsible for Magnifico going bad, then why would our Queen decide to keep him locked up in his staff's crystal forever? If the book was responsible, then Magnifico would be the Frodo or Golum to the book's One Ring -- he'd be a victim, in such a scenario: one in need of help and pity, not punishment. So either Amaya is a selfish person who only cared about her husband's mistreatment of others when it affected her, or she's a needlessly cruel person who decides to punish her husband for a vice that anyone could fall prey to. Either way, I don't want this woman ruling anyone! Make this woman a straight-up villain, same as her husband, and have the whole monarchy come crashing down after she and Magnifico both go down in flames! VIVE LA RESISTANCE! (Playing into my idea with Asha being Magnifico's apprentice all along, maybe there could even be a twist on the Evil Stepmother trope with Amaya, where she's jealous of how much Magnifico has tried to groom Asha as his apprentice, rather than spending time and/or starting a family with her or something.)
+As I touched on earlier, there wasn't even close to enough time to develop all of these characters properly. Since our heroine and friends are most similar to Snow White and her friends the Seven Dwarfs, let's compare cast size. Snow White is 83 minutes long and has a cast of ten (Snow, the Prince, the Queen, and the Dwarfs) -- Wish is 95 minutes long and has a cast of fourteen (Asha, Magnifico, Star, Valentino, Amaya, Asha's mum and grandpa, and our seven Friends). This results in us getting the vague idea that "Grumpy" role Gabo is sweet on our "Bashful" role Bazeema, but no time to develop their relationship or give it any kind of conclusion; the others saying "Sneezy" role Safi apparently loves the castle chickens with no sympathetic explanation why, to the point that he gets super excited about a chicken growing to a giant size for no real reason; "Doc" role Dahlia having a crush on Magnifico that is then dropped immediately after Asha turns against him; oldest kid and "Sleepy" role Simon feeling incomplete without the dream he gave Magnifico and "betraying" Asha as a result in an attempt to get it back, only to get stabbed in the back by Magnifico, and then have no time for a proper redemption after he's unhypnotized; Asha's grandfather turning on a dime about whether or not he wants to know what his wish was if Magnifico thought it was dangerous; Magnifico getting some justification in his backstory for his bad behavior, but Amaya's backstory being a complete black hole before she married Magnifico when you'd think it'd explain all the more why she stuck with him so long; and Asha's mum having her wish crushed to dust by Magnifico and then given back without us EVER LEARNING WHAT IT EVEN WAS IN THE FIRST PLACE, even after we see just about everyone else's wishes as soon as somebody picks it up and Asha's mum's wish gets picked up multiple times!! Come on, if you're going to set up NOT showing it, you may as well have a pay-off for it!! At least give us some moment where Asha's mum hugs her in relief and acknowledges that her daughter was her wish! That would've been a nice "aww" moment for everyone!
Tumblr media
+Okay, I said I was going to talk about my problem with the songs, so here goes. As I said before, I listened to the soundtrack before watching the movie, and even when I did, I could immediately sense a problem: these songs did not tell me much of anything about the movie, just on their own. Welcome to Rosas, which is pretty much just an exposition dump about the kingdom and how Magnifico founded it, didn't really paint a picture of our setting or characters much at all, the way opening songs like Belle or The Family Madrigal do. This Wish, although pretty, was something I could hear just as easily on the radio -- it didn't feel as tied or necessary to understanding our heroine the way something like Part of That World does. I'm a Star, quite frankly, felt like a lot of inspirational word salad, rather than anything particularly memorable or revelatory -- why else wouldn't it even be worthy of a musical salute in the reprise, where Asha remembers that she and everyone else are stars during the climax? Even after reading summaries of the plot and spoilers from the storybook for this film, I could not figure out for the life of me how At All Costs would fit organically into such a story, being sung by our villain and hero. It wasn't until I saw the film that I saw how the filmmakers decided to fit it in and honestly...the song didn't help tell that particular scene at all. It's a really pretty song and I like it a lot -- but it lacked any of the irony or contrast that kind of a scene that introduces the difference in focus between our hero and villain required. If the scene itself is needed to understand what's supposed to be going on while the song is playing, then the song is not effectively telling the story and is therefore unnecessary. There wasn't even a particularly Spanish or Mediterranean flair to the soundtrack to help set the stage, aside from the occasional flourish of castanets -- instead it sounded very contemporary, which I guess is appropriate, since it was largely written by pop composers rather than any musical theater talent.
+There were also points where the songs felt the urge to shove in a bunch of extra words just because, rather than have the words flow well and really mean something. I'm a Star is most guilty of this, of course, but even in This is the Thanks I Get?, we hear Magnifico gripe that "I let you live here for free and I don't even charge you rent" -- mate, THAT MEANS THE SAME THING! If you live somewhere for free, then you are NOT paying rent!
+Knowing What I Know Now is a bop and I like it (aside from Amaya's stupidity), but I'm sorry, all I can think when I hear it is "This is clearly trying to be Ready as I'll Ever Be from Tangled the Animated Series, but that song blows this out of the water." However fun the song can be, it would've been so much stronger if it actually addressed the contrast between the characters and revved us up for a big final battle, instead of it just being our eight underdeveloped characters psyching each other up.
+The idea of everyone being stars was a lovely idea, but the execution of Asha remembering this fact and using it to defeat Magnifico was terribly handled. First off, there was no revelatory phrase or action that prompted Asha to remember this fact, so her suddenly saying that "they're all stars" came out of nowhere. Second, even putting aside that there'd be no way any of her friends could hear Asha from all the way up on the tower if they're stuck in the courtyard below, there's no reason I can see for Asha's friends or family to know what the hell she was even TALKING about. They weren't there when the I'm a Star number happened! And the way that number made it seem, just based on the visuals, it looked like the "star" power came from a person's dream, since it's the same glow that returns to Asha's grandfather when he gets his dream back, but most of the town's dreams have been already yanked out by Magnifico at this point! I think the idea is that since everyone is a star, even with that big piece of them and the power accompanying it taken out, they still have enough stardust inside of them to be powerful enough to chase their heart's desires...but yeah, I'm sorry, for all the word salad I'm a Star threw around, this world-building aspect was really not made clear, and because of that and the lack of a proper callback to this plot turn, the climax didn't hit as strong as it should've.
Overall, this film felt a lot like a batch of unbaked chocolate chip cookies that someone decided to throw a bunch of brightly colored sprinkles on top of, just because they could. A lot of ideas just don't feel like they were fully developed, and there was a lot tossed in that didn't contribute to the overall taste or bring the disparate elements together in a cohesive whole, instead feeling more like a distraction than anything of actual substance. That doesn't mean I couldn't eat it -- I like eating cookie dough as much as the next person -- but that doesn't mean it felt like a complete, finished product worthy of great praise. Instead I'm left looking at the wasted potential and wishing the movie had carved out its own path more, one distinctive to itself, rather than just be a mashup of previous Disney concepts and tropes. I won't act like there's nothing to like here, nor that it's completely lacking in heart: I actually would love to see fandom for this movie re-imagine it in ways that could've improved the story and characters, because there were SO many good ideas here...but for me personally, this movie left me colder than it should've and -- like Asha after meeting Magnifico -- a bit disappointed.
So I make this wish...to have Disney make a film better than this.

Top 5 Horror movies you'd want to be in/ think you could survive?
Abby!!! What a good fucking question, holy shit. 😍 I had so much fun thinking about whether or not I would be killed in all of the spooky movies that I love. (I'm being completely serious)
- Jaws (or any shark movie except Ghost Shark or 5 Headed Shark Attack)
"Terrible shark movies" is one of my favorite genres of horror movies. I have seen dozens of them. So I am confident when I say I could easily survive, even if I were on vacation. I'm not really a big swimmer. I prefer lounging on the beach with my headphones or reading. But also because the second someone says they saw a big shark, or if there is even a SINGLE mysterious death/body found in the water, I'm out. I will simply get into a car and drive to higher ground. No thank you. 😌
I excluded Ghost Shark because he is a ghost that can manifest in any water, including when you take a drink (that's literally one of the kills and it's great). And the monstrosity in 5 Headed Shark Attack can leave the water and use some of it's dumb extra heads like legs to chase you around on land (it's also great in a "this is so bad I love it" way).
- Trick 'r Treat
I adore this movie. First, the setting is quintessential Halloween! Decorated houses, costumes, fun parties, spooky fog, and town lore with no snow on the ground (😒)?? I watch it every year to set the vibe because it's perfect. Second, to survive Trick 'r Treat, you just have to have respect for the holiday and follow the rules of Halloween. It's my favorite holiday and day of the year so I do that anyway (I already leave most of my decorations out year round). This is a win/win for me. Also, I would adopt Sam immediately. That's my son. 🎃🍭
- Predator
Yautja ***normally only kill people they consider worthy of hunting or a threat. I am neither of those things. I hate running and I do not go near weapons or have any expertise that makes me dangerous in any way. Plus, then Yautja would exist and I would risk it all to f—*gunshot*
***(the exception being bad bloods, but they're Yautja that have violated their honor code and are hunted down by their own kind)
- Barbarian
As a woman, if I am traveling alone and booking a hotel or Air BnB, I research the fuck out of that neighborhood. I would have taken one look at the area around that listing and said, "Absolutely not." And if I did somehow manage to book it, even—or especially—while driving through a strange area at night, I would have been hyper aware of my surroundings. No way I would have gotten out of that car. She was even warned during her interview that she should NOT be in that area and the interviewer was visibly shaken, and she STILL went back and stayed. She blatantly ignored 3 🚩. Couldn't be me. (I loved this movie though)
- Dead Silence
This is one of those movies with a setting I would LOVE to live in. (If anyone hasn't seen this movie, it's actually better than it looks and I recommend it for the setting alone.) The town is called Ravens Faire. It looks permanently gloomy. It has a spooky manor, funeral home, cemetery, and an abandoned haunted theater. Also Mary Shaw only kills people if they scream, and when I'm jump scared, I just grab my chest and gasp. So I'm good 😊

i watched it recently as well and i loved it sgfjfbdjk- what do you think could have been better/improved on? what would have given it a higher rating out of 10 for you? and also, what DID you enjoy about it :0??

So! I’m going to put my full review under a cut, since it might be long and just in case people don’t want to see it. And of course, this is just my opinion! Take it all with a grain of salt :)
In short though, there’s a handful of things that I personally felt could have been done a little better, and it detracted from the movie for me a little bit. In my opinion, the movie could’ve used a little more refining. But, that’s not to say the movie wasn’t enjoyable. It was still a great time, and I did still enjoy it :)
Okay so. Overall, the movie was very enjoyable! I had so much fun in the theater and seeing any little callbacks or references. In my opinion, all the way up until the reveal about Sentinel being a traitor, I don’t have any negative notes. You could feel the strength of Orion and D-16’s relationship. God the scene where they jumped into the race?? How they helped each other out even though D thought it was a bad idea? And just in general that scene was amazing
But it’s the scene of the Sentinel reveal that things unfortunately go a little downhill, at least in my opinion :( D hears of Sentinel’s traitorousness and of course, is upset. That scene where he’s like “No, I want kill Sentinel.” Was so good. But my problem is like… throughout that entire progression of the movie, it feels like D keeps that high level of anger the entire time. Which at first doesn’t sound unreasonable. He felt so betrayed, of course he’d be fueled by that anger to keep going. It’s just the fact that he so suddenly got so filled with anger and nothing swayed him that entire rest of their journey? I felt like it could have been better if he had that burst of anger at first, and maybe the crew calms him down, but as they progress he slowly builds up to that point of anger again. To me it just sort of felt like he was at 100 the entire time, and so when we got to the climax, it didn’t feel as impactful to me since he was at that level of fury the entire time. I see posts saying that this version of Megatron is the “best written version” thus far, and while I don’t disagree that his writing was very good, I think I disagree that it’s his best written version. In terms of motivation, I do greatly enjoy how D felt so betrayed. But again, his anger was at a constant high the entire time, and that made the climax feel less impactful for me.
And about the climax! I did enjoy how Orion fell into the core to receive the Matrix. But in my opinion, I feel like he didn’t entirely earn it yet by that point. And the fact that after receiving the Matrix he didn’t seem shocked or caught off guard by it at all? Maybe this is my own bias, but I feel like it could have been better if it was done similar to tfp’s Exodus book, where Orion’s given the Matrix yet he doesn’t want it or believes he is undeserving or unprepared for it. Because their journey up until that point was a lot, definitely. But what makes Orion deserve the Matrix over Elita? I feel like he didn’t do anything that made him particularly deserve the Matrix, except maybe that scene where he spoke to all the miners.
This is where the pacing of the movie too is another problem in my opinion, I feel like it was too fast. Again, all the way up until the Sentinel betrayal reveal, the movie felt perfectly fine to me. It’s afterwards that it feels like everything was moving too quickly for anything to really stick, emotionally. I feel like if this was a show, maybe, we could’ve had more time for the emotions to feel more impactful. And to me it felt like B and Elita… didn’t really do anything. Their inclusions were fun for sure, it’s just again they did nothing really significant in my opinion. I liked the scene where Elita motivated Orion again. And B only really was introduced so they could get the transmission from Alpha Trion.
OH OMG AND ANOTHER THING. The Quintessons didn’t do shit! The only reason they showed up was just to give evidence of Sentinel being a bitch. But I would’ve thought they would’ve been more of a threat from then on! Once the movie ended I almost forgot about them. They’re probably going to be important again in the 2nd movie, but after such a big build up of their mentions and the ship on the surface and everything, they really just. Fucked off?? And we didn’t hear from them again at all? Maybe it was for the better since they were already trying to fit in a lot, but it felt like they just. Served their purpose to the story and we never saw them again after that.
I dunno. Maybe I have to give it another watch to see if these things were really as bad as I thought during my first watch.
For things I did enjoy, the animation and world building were spectacular! Omg the fact that we saw Primus’ bot form in that video at the beginning? That was so sick. And like I mentioned before Orion and D-16’s relationship towards the beginning was so good. I loved his brotherly they seemed and how much they had each others’ backs. And AUGHH SENTINEL WAS SUCH A BITCH!!! He was a bit of a basic villain, his core motivation was just selfishness, but to be fair what else could you expect from Sentinel as a character? He was successfully a character that you love to hate. Jon Hamm’s performance really sold it for me.
And the rest of the cast did a great job as well! Brian Tyree Henry did a great job channeling D-16’s anger. And just in general, the rest of the cast did amazingly.
And you know me I can’t go without mentioning the few size difference scenes there were :) the scenes where Sentinel met Orion and D at the medbay?? How he had to duck under the door? How he kneeled to level himself with them and was still so huge? Swooning. The scene where Orion was rallying the miners and he kneeled to level himself with them too??? Stomach still flips thinking about it. In a good way. That was hot as hell I loved it. We needed more of that shit
So in conclusion! Overall, the movie was still very enjoyable! There were unfortunately some things that made me not fully enjoy the film, but that’s not to say the movie wasn’t a fun time. I want to watch it again to see if my opinion changes at all for sure!

Married to The Enemy- Shingen Ch. 51
This one got a little long
Chapter 51
Shingen was waiting in line with Ava and her friends at the movie theater concessions. His arm wrapped around Ava’s waist, holding her close as they waited their turn. It was at this moment, the fun evening was interrupted by a voice Shingen had only heard one other time before.
“Oh my gosh! Can’t believe I’m running into you guys here! It must be a movie date night for everyone!”
Shingen could feel Ava tense up next to him. He didn’t like how this woman made Ava react. Especially when they had been having a perfectly lovely time before she arrived. His hand was resting on her hip and he gave her hip a gentle squeeze, reassuring her that he was right beside her.
Ava seemed to relax a little and leaned into him. She took a deep breath before she was turning her head. Shoko was also looking back, both of them with tight smiles. “Akemi.” They greeted.
Akemi smiled at them and Shingen could tell it was a cruel smile. She was holding hands with a man Shingen had never met before. He was as tall as Shingen and more leanly muscled with reddish hair and blue eyes.
“Ava, Shoko, you guys remember Hikaru…oh who am I kidding, of course you do, Ava. You did date him for three years before he realized there were greener pastures elsewhere.” Akemi said.
So this man…a former lover. Shingen thought, doing his best to keep a frown from forming on his face.
“You have got to be kidding me.” Shoko muttered under her breath.
Hikaru was looking at Ava…clearly with regret in his eyes. “You’re looking well, Ava.”
“I suppose she does look well. As well as someone like her can.” Akemi said. “I mean, if she had the money for better skincare and makeup she could really be a beauty.”
Shingen really hated the way this woman was ripping into Ava. He also didn’t like the way this other man was looking at her.
“I actually think she looks really great.” Hikaru said.
“So, you guys are dating again?” Shoko asked Hikaru and Akemi.
“Uh, yeah I gue…” Hikaru began.
Akemi was wrapping both of her arms around one of his and clinging to him. “Oh, yes. I gave him a call after the beach party. We were always just so suited for each other you know? Both from prominent families and all that.”
Ava gave them a smile. “You two do look good together.” She said.
“Oh, I’m glad you see it, Ava.” Akemi said. “So, no hard feelings about me stealing him from you?”
“Really I should thank you.” Ava replied. “If you two hadn’t ended up together, I wouldn’t have met my wonderful Shingen.” She was leaning more into Shingen then.
Shingen smiled as he wrapped both arms around her and pulled her close, kissing her cheek. “Yes, thank you for letting this treasure get away so that I could find her.” Shingen added. He would support his wife no matter what. Also, he was grateful. From the way it sounded, this other guy had hurt Ava…he didn’t like that. But if he hadn’t, Ava wouldn’t be with Shingen now.
“I don’t see what more you could have wanted when you had Ava, but I’m grateful that she’s mine now.” Shingen added, wanting to make sure that this guy knew there was no chance Ava would ever be his again.
Ava smiled and hugged Shingen tighter.
“Hey, it’s our turn.” Kenji said.
Ava was then waving at Akemi and Hikaru. “Well, it was good to see you guys. Glad things are working out for you. Hope you guys have a great time.” She said.
“I know we definitely will.” Shoko said. “All of our seats are in the back of the theater. Which means we’re not watching the movie and pretending we’re teenagers again.” She was then giving Ava a wink.
Ava giggled. “Hmm, that is a good plan.” She agreed.
Shingen wasn’t sure, but it seemed there was a hidden meaning to this. He would have to ask Ava about it later.
“See ya guys.” Shoko said.
The two couples were then heading to place their orders. The savory scent that filled the air was stronger by the counter. Shingen kept his arm around Ava as they looked at all the food. It seemed it was a silent agreement between the four of them not to pay any attention to Akemi and Hikaru.
“A large bag of popcorn with extra butter. And we’ll take some of these, these, and these. And a large drink to wash it all down.” Ava ordered for them.
“And we’ll take the same.” Shoko said for her and Kenji.
“I can’t believe you guys are eating all of that.” Akemi said, clearly not done aggravating Ava and Shoko just yet. “I guess once you’re married, you really don’t care about your figure. I would have to be in the gym for twenty-four hours straight to work off that much food.”
“Akemi…” Hikaru said.
Ava waved dismissively. “It’s fine. I have plenty of ways to work off all of this food. I have a home gym.” She said.
“Yeah, named Shingen.” Shoko said with a giggle. “And I only know that because I also have a home gym, but he’s named Kenji.”
“There is a reason we have two boys.” Kenji agreed.
Shingen was grinning at Ava. “Oh? I am your workout plan?” He asked, tracing her chin with his fingertips.
Ava giggled. “Can you think of a better one?”
“No and I am very happy to be so.” He replied, leaning in to give her a light peck on the lips. He adored his wife and being affectionate with her. And he was happy to reassure her that she was his one and only love.
Akemi was fuming. But she couldn’t find anything to say.
The two couples got their food and walked away, heading towards the room their movie would be in. This would be the first time Shingen would be seeing a movie in this theater. He was excited to experience this with Ava.
Shingen followed Ava into the large room. It was currently dimly lit and there were dark curtains on the walls and red chairs throughout. They were what Shingen had learned were called recliners. Ava had explained that this was a more luxury type of theater experience as the recliners were very comfortable. But they didn’t always have such comfy chairs.
All of the chairs were facing towards one wall at the front of the room, which had a large screen playing what Ava had told him were previews for other movies. “Our seats are this way.” Shoko said, leading them all up some stairs and to the back row of chairs, going back to the middle section of the row.
Shingen was pleased to see that the chairs were paired up. So he and Ava got to sit fairly close together, though there was still an armrest between them. There was a bit of space between their chairs and the chairs Shoko and Kenji were sitting in.
Once they sat down, Shingen leaned over to Ava and whispered to her. “What was it that Shoko meant about pretending to be teenagers in the back of the theater?” He asked.
Ava gave him a playful grin. “Well, when the movie starts, they turn off the lights so that you can better see the screen and not really much else.” She explained. “And sitting in the back no one notices. It’s a favorite date of teens who want to spend the movie paying more attention to their date rather than the movie and getting up to some…mischievous things in the dark.”
Shingen lifted a brow as he gave Ava a seductive grin. “Is that so? Then I’d be happy to play the part of a love sick teenage boy.”
Ava giggled. “Well, if we’re gonna do that then you have to wait for them to turn off the lights.” She replied. “And you have to do the classic fake yawn and stretch, putting your arm around my shoulders. It’s usually how teenage boys make the first move in these situations.”
“I see.” Shingen replied. “These dating customs of your time are quite fascinating.”
Ava giggled. She was then holding up the large bucket of popcorn. “You have to try some. No movie experience is complete without the delicious, salty, buttery popcorn.”
“Why, thank you my angel.” Shingen replied, reaching a hand in and plucking a piece from the bucket and popping it in his mouth. “It is good….though I definitely prefer something a bit sweeter.” He was then leaning in a placing a kiss on Ava’s cheek. “Much better.”
Ava’s cheeks reddened. “Am I still your favorite sweet?” She asked. It seemed that the incident with Akemi and her old lover was all forgotten. Shingen was happy she could just focus on their date and enjoy their time together.
“Always my favorite, my angel.” Shingen replied.
“But I do have some others here I think you will like.” She was then holding up a box of what he had come to recognize as candy. She opened the box and pulled out a few of the treats. They were colorful. “These are called M&M’s. They’re one of my favorites.” She was then holding one of the colorful candies up to his lips.
Shingen smiled as he parted his lips and allowed her to slip the treat inside. It was sweet, but he was pleasantly surprised when he bit into the candy. The colorful part was only a shell! Inside was chocolate, that VERY delicious sweet Ava had introduced him to earlier. It had quickly become a favorite.
“Good, right?” Ava asked.
Shingen nodded. “Very. We’re going to have to bring some of these back home with us.”
Ava giggled and nodded. “I think I agree.”
The lights were soon turning off and the movie was starting. Shingen watched the movie for a little while. He did want to see what this was. Seeing the visuals on such a large screen…it was really quite something. But of course, he couldn’t help but to let his mind wander to his beautiful wife next to him. Nor could he not think about what she had said about the dating customs.
Shingen wore a grin as he pretended to yawn and stretch until his arm was around Av’s shoulders. He could hear her quiet laughter as she snuggled closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder. It was very much like when they watched movies together at the apartment. Just with a larger screen…and they were in a public place.
He turned his head to kiss the top of Ava’s head. Then her forehead. Her cheek. Until she finally turned her head so that he could kiss her lips. That one kiss turned into several playful kisses. Ava’s hands came to rest on Shingen’s chest as their kisses continued. Shingen happily indulged in Ava’s kisses, but made a conscious effort to hold himself back as they were still in public, even if it was in the dark. The more serious stuff could wait until they got back to the apartment.
Back in the Sengoku…
Yukimura was returning to his room late that night after a very long and stressful day. “How does Lord Shingen do this all the time?” He muttered.
“Rough day?”
Yukimura looked up at the sound of Saki’s voice. She was already in her night clothes, her long auburn hair down. She was lying on top of the futon on her stomach with her upper half propped up and her legs bent at the knee, holding her feet up in the air.
As soon as he saw her there, all of his troubles seemed to melt away. “It wasn’t so bad.” He answered. “What are you doing already in bed?” He asked.
“Just relaxing while I waited for you.” Saki answered, a smile on her face. “You should go take your evening bath and then come back here and relax with me.”
“A bath does sound nice.” Yukimura replied. “Though…it would be better if you were with me.”
Saki giggled. “I don’t think there would be anything relaxing about it then.” She teased.
“I don’t know…” Yukimura replied, walking over to the futon and kneeling down before gently pushing Saki over onto her back. He then hovered over her. “I do find myself much less stressed after making love to you.”
“Hmmm…that is a good point. You do always seem more relaxed.” She agreed. “But you had better go get your bath first. I don’t want your stink getting all over me.”
Yukimura frowned at her teasing. “I do not stink…and I would think you’d like smelling like me. Isn’t that why you started using the same soap as me? Or why you like to steal my haori sometimes?”
Saki’s cheeks reddened. “I’ve no idea what you’re talking about, Yukimura.”
Yukimura playfully pinched her cheeks. “You’re so cute.” He told her, leaning down to press his lips to hers.
It didn’t take long for the kiss to escalate. Clothes were soon coming off and passionate sighs and moans soon filled the silence of the room.
Afterwards the pair laid together, Yukimura holding Saki close. Saki was smiling up at him. “I’m glad to see that frown gone and your smile back.” She said, her fingers dancing over his cheek and rubbing that spot between his brows. “I thought you were going to end up with a permanent furrow right here.”
“Would you love me any less?” Yukimura asked.
Saki smiled. “Of course, not. I’d just have to start calling you my grumpy old man.”
“Hey…”
Saki silenced him with a kiss. “My CUTE grumpy old man.” She said with a teasing smile.
“I’ll show you cute.” Yukimura replied and then began to tickle her.
Saki laughed, but fought back, going to tickle Yukimura’s sides. The couple was soon falling into a giggling, laughing, breathless mess.
Slowly they calmed down and were getting back to cuddling. “I didn’t even ask…how was your day?” Yukimura asked, feeling like a dope. As soon as he got in there all he could think about was getting in bed with Saki. He hadn’t even stopped to find out if she’d had a stressful day.
“Pretty normal really.” She answered with a shrug. “Oh, I got a letter from my parents today.”
“Oh? Are they doing well?”
Saki nodded. “Yup. Really well in fact. They’re actually planning a visit.”
“Really?” Yukimura asked, surprised. “I guess they miss you, huh?”
Saki shrugged. “I suppose. But they really want to come because they want to meet you.”
Yukimura blinked. “Why would they wanna meet me?”
“I don’t know…maybe because I told them about my handsome lover.” Saki answered.
“Wait…you told them I was your lover?”
“Are you not? I mean we did just get finished making love…which we have started doing just about every night. I’ve moved into your room with you…”
“That’s not what I meant.” Yukimura replied. “I meant…they aren’t gonna think…”
“Think what? Think you’re bad for stealing their daughter’s virtue or something?” Saki asked. “Which, just so you know you didn’t.”
“Saki, that’s not what I meant…but I mean…”
“All they’re gonna want to do is see that I’m happy and see that you’re a good guy.” Saki assured him. “And trust me, they’re gonna love you just like I do.”
Yukimura smiled. “How can you be so sure?”
“Because you may be a dummy, but you’re my dummy and you make me happy.” She answered. “And you’re a good man, Yukimura. That’s all that will matter to them.”
“You really think I’m a good man?”
“If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be in your arms right now.” Saki answered.
Yukimura hugged Saki closer. “I love you, you know.”
“I know.” Saki replied. “I love you, too.”

musical rant rn go
goodness gracious I wrote an entire novel yesterday and it all got deleted. Whatever.
OKAY HERE ARE ALL OF THE MUSICALS I THINK ABOUT IN ORDER
Frozen: Every six year old girl was obsessed with Frozen, including me. Good soundtrack and nostalgia. I still really want my theatre to do this show, but I’m not sure which role I’d want. Elsa, Anna, Christof, Olaf? I dunno. Too many good options
Hercules: One of my favorite movies since I was little. Insanely good soundtrack and super fun characters. If my theatre did this one I still wouldn’t know which role I’d want. Hercules would be great, but Meg is so fun, but Hades is even more fun!!
The Lorax: I’m considering this a musical so shut up. This has also been one of my favorites since I was little. Fun fact: as student council president I came up with the idea of making a Lorax themed bulletin board and we did it!! 💪 I think my presidency will be remembered as year of the Lorax or something like that. We’d come in every meeting and I’d play the soundtrack while we worked, it was perfect. I ALSO WANT MY THEATRE TO DO THIS BUT ID WANT TO PLAY EVERY ROLE. THEYRE ALL SO PERFECT
Sister Act: Pretty uncommon. The only reason i really listen to the soundtrack or anything was bc I was in it. This is the first musical I ever did (I’ve done 5 now) and in this I played Monsignor O’Hara, which is a pretty great role for a first time actor. I got to dad dance a deliver cheesy lines. The soundtrack is pretty good to me, but that might just be because of the distinct memories I have with each one. Like the time the power went out during a rehearsal so everyone sat in front of the stage with their phone flashlights on. That was super fun. Or all of my friends and I playing flee the facility on Roblox. 🥹 miss all of that
Dear Evan Hansen: or however it’s spelled. I’ve only read the book and occasionally heard the songs. The book was really good and I should really learn more about the musical.
Newsies: Second musical I was in and my first big role. Jacks best friend. It was awesome!! Before auditions I went over to my friend Emma’s house. She’s the one who brought me to theatre and we were watching newsies bc we knew nothing about it. I immediately, from the very first scene, wanted crutchie. Emma really wanted Katherine. I’ll always remember Emma FaceTiming me as soon as the cast list came out and telling me we got our dream roles and we were in the same cast. That was the best summer ever.
Elf: I don’t talk about this one too much bc it’s just trauma. I simply played a background elf because of my big role last show. I had two lines 😭 We did this for some reason and I decided “wouldn’t it be just great to bring my bf (now ex) to theatre!” So I did. What was I thinking. Halfway through rehearsals he broke up with me. I had to see him twice a week and it really sucked. I’m not gonna get too far into it bc my ex literally ruined my life but anyways
Wicked: My theatre didn’t do this play, I got to see it on broadway in November. It was really great. I went in knowing nothing about wicked and I came out obsessed. I was able to get a full cast signed poster and a copy of the novel. I’d definitely want to do this production at my theater someday but I just don’t know who I’d want to be. Elphaba or Glinda? Either way great show and good soundtrack for sure
Sweeney Todd: EEE!! Okay so the show itself is incredible. Great story, good characters, magnificent music, a 10/10 show for my theatre to do. The bad part is that this was just for the older age group, which means our director put a lot of pressure on us. Ever rehearsal someone went home crying (usually me) and nobody was having fun. I actually had an incredible role because I mentioned wanting Sweeney in auditions and I didn’t realize how much work that actually was. Thankfully they gave me an even better role: ANTHONY!! Still not my favorite role, Crutchie will always have that, but it’s awesome!! Being a lovesick sailor is basically me.
Heathers: Another fun musical!! We haven’t done this at my theatre and I don’t think we ever will 😔 I personally love belting these songs when I’m home alone, but that applies to basically all of these. Also if you’ve read this far that’s impressive bro. (Also I might start a secret side blog of me singing) but that’s a secret between you, me, and anyone else who read this far
American Idiot: The Green Day musical!! The music is obviously super good and the story is a bit strange but it’s really fun to watch slime tutorials of it on YouTube. (For any of you who don’t know, slime tutorials are what we call videos filming broadway productions because they’re illegal and a way for YouTube to not take them down is if you title them “slime tutorial.” If you ever want to see a bit of a musical poorly recorded on a trash phone, look up the name of the musical and you’ll usually find some.)
Peter Pan: Honestly a trash musical. The story makes no sense and most of the music is garbage. I played a lost boy, which is basically the only fun role in the whole show. I knew all of my other lost boys well, someone of them were already my best friends, so we were just a gang of rascals. Little Shop of Horrors: I went to a local production knowing very little and I came out of this one obsessed as well!!!! The soundtrack is sooo goood and my friends and I are super close to getting our theatre to do it. I would def want Seymour, Audrey, or Orin (the dentist)
WOW TYSM FOR LETTING ME GO ON A RANT I REALLY NEEDED THAT!!!!! YAYYY!!!! I think this is a complete list but I dunno. I’ll see if I forgot something at some point

Dawn: I don’t know if you’re ready for this. Phoenix: I’m definitely not, but if we’re doing this then let’s do it already. Dawn: Alright alright, play it.
Phoenix: You know you can sit down, right? Dawn: Yeah, sorry, just excited. Phoenix: This excited for— Dawn: Shhh… hey! Did you really just throw— Phoenix: Shhh… ow!
Phoenix: You know what this reminds me of? Dawn: What? Phoenix: When I was a kid, there was a movie theater that would show movies for a dollar. Usually, movies that had just left the major theaters, or sometimes older movies. Anyway, my mom and I had a jar where we’d put loose change. Every couple of weeks or so we’d count it out. Once we saved two dollars, then we’d get to go to a movie. One time we saw this movie; I can’t remember what it was called, but it was so bad. I mean, it was ridiculous. I need to find out what it was because I’ve never laughed so hard in my life.
Dawn: What’s it about? Phoenix: I don’t even know; it’s been so long. It was like an action movie, I think, with this truck driver— Dawn: It’s not that arm wrestling one, is it? Phoenix: No. Wait, that’s a thing? Dawn: Yes, and it’s terrible! Phoenix: Oh my god! Okay, no, I think this one was in China or no, Chinatown. I don’t know, I was ten!
Dawn: [gasps] BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA!! Phoenix: That’s it!! Dawn: Weirdest fucking movie ever! Phoenix: Right?!
Dawn: Okay, we are watching that next time! Phoenix: Definitely! Dawn: See, you do like bad movies! Phoenix: I wouldn’t go that far. But I like watching them with you. Dawn: I’ll take it.
Dawn: It’s getting late. I better get going, we have an early day tomorrow. Phoenix: Right, good call. Thanks for this, by the way, I needed it. Dawn: Yeah, it was fun, and it’s good to see you laugh!
Phoenix: I’ll see you tomorrow. Dawn: See ya!
