emmys never really matter much to me and if rwrb hadn't been nominated i would have been fine but as someone who grew up queer and grew up loving romcoms, i never saw many silly romantic comedies taken seriously and i definitely never i'd see the day a silly queer romantic comedy was nominated for an emmy, with a lead who is bisexual and latine like me. it's so silly and wonderful and surreal to me.

happy endings are so back and gays get to have them now too.

On my second play I’m finding Arthur’s role in the gang (at least in the early game) to be all the more poignant. He has always been used by Dutch, always put on a pedestal in an almost dehumanising way.

Dutch tells Arthur that he is the only one with strength that can be relied upon even in the harsh weather of the grizzlies. By comparing him to the other gang members in this way, Arthur internalises further that he must be that pillar of strength for the gang. He’s truely a pack-horse in this regard. I believe it’s done nothing to help his self esteem as both a self-aware but complacent man.
