Determined and head strong, can out-stubborn the Batman, has a strong moral-backbone and does what he thinks is right regardless of what anybody else says, Robin. Jason who was sassy and quippy and made crude jokes with a smile on his face. Jason who hid in Bruce's cape and whispered gossip to him. Jason who, if Bruce refused him something, could keep bothering endlessly until Bruce caved. And also dramatic Jason. If Bruce tells him no, it becomes a whole theatrical show; a monologue, a narration, embellishments, and falling onto the floor in his grief upon the fact his cruel father has denied him once again.

(Jason who has suffered through abuse and homelessness and poverty and starvation, who is the Fight out of Fight or Flight, who's built up defenses and walls and when pushed and triggered responds with the thing that's always protected him; anger. He's sweet and kind and funny, and when he sees a pimp hitting a prostitute he gets furious and responds with violence.)

part of the many many bits of heartbreak over the jack arc is just sam and dean replicating their childhood dynamics from different places. jack is now sam. sam is now dean, jack's ally but at the end of the day, that means nothing when john's word is the final rule. and john is now dean, determined to keep his family under control, bc to lose control is to invite further death and despair into your home.

I won't say the fandom, but I can't understand (and honestly don't want to) that in that fandom, some people lose their fucking minds over two characters of the same gender being shipped even though the relationship in canon is meaningful in ways that romantic and platonic, it's just a relationship that just makes sense between those two characters.

Yet, now, those same people who will lose their minds over the same gender ships will not bat a lash at the people who (or be the people who are doing this) will make that male lead some "alpha male Chad" guy while also reducing the lead female character to just "a prize" and/or will do it to other female characters that he must hook up with because "He's an alpha male Chad, he gets all the ladies".

the disregard for Belly’s happiness is something I expect from the other side, but is so disappointing when it’s your own fandom

the fear/expectation that Jere’s character is going to be dismantled and denying that because you know the show has a narrative to push but not saying a word about the potential destruction of Belly’s character to further said narrative and expecting of it of her because she broke Jere’s heart in season 1 - and not considering, oh this is fucking bad writing too

my company is competing in an environmentalist XR challenge for AWE (Augmented World Expo), and we got through to the next round of judging!!!!!!!!!!!!

our focus is on showing how to reduce waste using spatial computing - like reducing landfill waste via replacing one-use items (like balloons, confetti, fireworks, etc) with virtual versions.

I’m also coming up with ideas for multiplayer physics games (like Jenga, air hockey, cornhole, etc etc) to show off as well...... generally anything that is often made of plastic, requires packaging & shipping, and is based around physical interactions between two people

ANYWAYS I’m making this post because I am excited!!!!! but ALSO I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of things they’d like to see me try to recreate?

don’t be afraid to suggest things that aren’t possible yet (like things that involve a sense of real touch), because the presentation is also about designing around reducing waste using future technologies - like haptic suits and gloves! :)

growing up as a child with severe hallucinations was wild.. the whole time you're becoming a person and adjusting to reality and learning how the world works but you're thrown a secret curveball that no one else knows about or can warn you about because no one else can see it happening. and should you express any signs of genuine distress or confusion over something imaginary, it's called "over active imagination" or "imaginary friends" and its all cute to adults until theyre losing sleep at night because the kid is too scared to sleep alone- but even sleeping between mom and dad still doesnt feel safe because every night feels like a horror movie where only you can see the monsters that want you dead. but its not real! and you have to listen to mom and dad when they say that! but they dont get it! no one ever gets it! it doesnt go away when you close your eyes! the visions get horrific and grotesque even by adult standards but no one listens! just go back to bed it was just a nightmare :) but the truth was you never fall asleep first.
