OMG i love that!!!! blondie are SO good i love dancing to their stuff. do you have a favorite blondie song? its been good! very rainy & i had a test but i think i did good on it:) how was yours? top ten, i realised halfway thru i'd run of of like. text so i stopped giving long explanations … i am just very. talkative sometimes haha 1) lulu by metallica & lou reed: i am very much aware that it is considered one of the worst albums ever created but i PERSONALLY think thats cuz people just dont understand the concept of it. & are not familiar w/ lou's work. i think its a masterpiece i think its a very unique and poignant album and listening to it makes me go insane. i think its really just a phenomenal album and i will literally die on this hill. my #1 album of all time 1.5 (2) bummer by cleopatrick: i sometimes cite this as my favorite album of all time when i don't feel like causing drama over lulu. more often i'll cite it as my favorite album of all time because i am the hardcore cleopatrick fan ive been listening to them since like. 7th grade and i love this album so MUCH its literally so good, the lyrics are flawless the flow is phenomenal the drumming on this is LITERALLY unparalleled. and the guitar tone is SO good. and all the songs are sooooo good like 2008??? literally one of the best songs ever. great lakes is a masterpiece and so is vic park and the drake and…its just SO good. instantly lifts my mood 3) welcome to hell by venom: i love the evil vibe plus ppl take it so seriously when venom literally wear the sluttiest outfits possible

4) blank generation by richard hell: my first introduction richard hell was an article by lester bangs where he talked about how he thought richard hell's music is incredible and how he thought that richard hell had a great grasp of the problems of being alive in the 70s but his solutions were absolute dog shit. which made me want to listen to the album, as a good review will, and now its one of my favorite records. forever mad this is the only proper LP they did. i love his delivery, the guitar work is so unique, and i think the lyrics are still so real & relevant 5) pretty on the inside by hole: sooo raw im a big courtney fan tbh i love her work. holes best album was for sure live through this (nobody's daughter is a close second imo!) but pretty on the inside is my personal favorite cuz its pink! & bc i think its the rawest of holes discog. i like the discordantness of it its so exciting to me 6) welcome the plague year self-titled: PHENOMENAL scramz album its so raw & i think its the best album from that era of scramz & i just adore it. 7) germ-free adolescence by the x-ray specs: prob the only british punk band from the 70s or 80s id cite as a favorite, i just adore everything abt this album 8) lets take it to the stage by funkadelic: groovy! funky! rocking! also i love bootsy collins 9) are you experienced by the jimi hendrix experience: cures headaches somehow?? not complaining though 10) rust never sleeps by neil young: first neil young album i listened to, hes definitely my favorite singer/songwriter of the 70s :) honorary mention to blue by joni mitchell, grateful dead's 13th february 1970 at fillmore east show even tho its not an album, opening fire by powertrip & killing is my business… by megadeth i think i've put you through enough reading with this for today so have a nice day!! i hope the whole thing sends LOL

if he’s explained something a few times and they still don’t get it he’ll just try it a different way until they get it and work them through the problem

has rlly strong relationships with the 9th and 10th graders cause of this and is essentially their older brother figure

the amount of 14/15 year olds that he’s given relationship advice too is insane (id be one of the 14 year olds probably)

We both made promises to each other. I know you remember, I promised I’d let you go so you could discover yourself outside our relationship. You promised you’d come back. I wish you could’ve kept your promise. I wish I could’ve kept mine.

I never let you go TJ, you were my first love can you blame me. I had to imagine a world without you when you moved up to California to go to your dream school. I kept seeing a world where we’d drift apart one where you’d only want to be with him. You know who I’m referring to.

I could never blame you for falling for someone else. I just believed we were too perfect for each other to kindle up a new flame. You were always too right for him. He was always wrong for you in my eyes.

But that was probably just me, never letting you go.

I had so many wishes the night I found out you’d died. The night my head aches from the constant onslaught of tears, the night I knew I could never steal you back from Jonah, the night I didn’t believe you were gone.

Even so I know now that you’re looking down at me. That you’re smiling because you did it so much when you were alive. Though you can’t be happy.. You were never happy when I wasn’t.

Life’s moving fast! But I’m moving faster! It’s gonna be weird having TJ walking around my house like he used to when we were kids. No shoes, and socked feet flying across the floor. He doesn’t come over as much as he used to. Not since we started 8th grade. I’m partially to blame too, I haven’t gone to his house either.

It’s been a while since Reed and Lester have come over too. Mostly because they kinda follow TJ everywhere.

Finally a sharp knock on the front door and I heard footsteps approaching the kitchen.

“Hey Cyrus.” I’ve never told Tj but I love how his scent always takes over any room he walks into. “What’re you cooking?”

“Muffins!” I reply placing the tray on the counter, pulling off the oven mitts I was wearing. “You know the one’s that don’t exist.”

“You can’t say that if you constantly choose to make them every time I come over.”

“I can because I have to make them, no store would dare sell these.” Tj just chuckled lightly, with a half smile.

“Ok you win underdog.”

I watched you hop up onto the counter kicking your already shoeless feet back and forth. “How’re you planning on entertaining me anyway’s.” Tj asked playfully reaching for a muffin.

“Not yet they’re hot.” I push the tray over using the cloth that normally hangs from the oven door. “And I need to entertain you now?”

“Well we can’t just sit here and stare at each other all night..”

No. That would be creepy. “What happened to Reed and Lester?” I ask immediately changing the subject as he hopped off the counter.

“Ah.. Couldn’t make it.. 8th grades rough for them too. More than us I think.”

I smirked turning away from Tj to grab a knife from next to the sink. “I keep telling Reed to stop getting high, it messes with his brain cells.”

Tj scoffed so loudly that it echoed over the quiet apartment. “What brain cells?”

“That’s mean, he’s our friend.”

“And a good friend would tell him he lost all his brain cells before he hit twelve.” This time I did laugh. Just a little. Under my breath or at least I hope it was under my breath. “How about we watch a movie? I’ve been wanting to but I haven’t gotten the chance.”

I scrap a muffin out of the pan as TJ talks. I knew I forgot something when I was making these. The food barely came out before crumbling all over the plate I had set down earlier most of the pieces crumbling to the counter and plate before I finally gave up using my hands.

“Sounds great..”

Tj turned to smirk at me. “Muffin malfunction?”

“Muffin malfunction.”

“I don’t know why you were so worried they’re perfect like always.” Tj suggested taking another huge bite out of a piece that wasn’t completely messed up.

“At some point I’m just going to assume you’re saying it to spare my feelings.” I replied pulling a blanket over our feet from the edge of the couch. Or well mostly Tj’s I enjoy sitting upside down when we watch movies together. “What’re we watching anyway?”

“Eh, couldn’t pick so I’m just gonna play this penguin documentary.”

I rolled my eyes playfully. “A documentary? I thought you were more into 80’s Romantic Comedy’s like 16 candles..”

“Shhhh later..” He giggled pushing the blanket over so that it could rest over my chest and thighs. “Move over a little so we can both be warm.”

I tried not to think too much about his word choice and pushed myself over so that my leg was touching his shoulder. He quickly pressed play on the movie, catching eye contact with me. “Comfortable?”

“Yeah.” Tj was always the most approachable guy I know. How could I not be comfortable lying here with him.

The narrator of the documentary talked in a very monotone way. One that instantly became a bit tedious even after 5 minutes of the movie.

“While learning about penguins is a pretty good way to spend a Sunday night, I wish the narrator would sound less like he doesn’t want to be here..”

“Well maybe he just needs to feed his family. You can get behind that.”

I shifted next to him allowing my feet to plant flat on the floor. “But just a little enthusiasm.. That’s all I want! He doesn’t have to sound like a clown at a kids birthday party, just maybe a little less like he’s about to fall asleep.”

Tj just laughed. Our shoulders rested pretty close now, his scent taking over becoming the only thing in the room I could smell. “I mean in his defense, narrating is hard and he’s talking about penguins not exactly the most amazing animals on the planet.”

“I strongly disagree with that statement. Penguins are amazing. And secondly what animal would be more fun to narrate?”

Tj peered up at the ceiling as though he was thinking. I know that look he has an animal in mind already. “Probably a lion, or a cheetah. You know anything that moves fast.”

I crossed my arms pretending to be offended. “Penguins move fast in water!”

“Yeah, key word in water. Once they leave water they’re just waddling around. Not as interesting.”

This definitely isn’t the first time me and Tj have stopped paying attention to what were doing to disagree on something. When we were 8 we spent a whole afternoon in the park just trying to catch crickets and ladybugs to see which one could beat the other in a race. Unsurprisingly it’s hard for 8 years olds to catch crickets in the daytime and ladybugs because they fly but that day ended in one of the best night sleep I’d ever had.

“Ok here’s a little fun fact about penguins that might make them a bit more interesting.” I remarked waving my finger around in the air. “Did you know that male penguins sometimes bring female penguins shiny stones in exchange for sex.”

TJ’s face practically beamed sunlight with the gasp that left his mouth. “Oh my god really?! So their like..”

“Penguin prostitutes.” I finished

Tj just continued to look awestruck, his eyes stuck on me as the tv blared what was becoming incoherent noise in the background. “We should turn this off so you can talk to me more about penguin prostitutes.”

I don’t know why but my skin felt hot at the thought of Tj just staring at me as I explained more about penguins, so I quickly shook my head. “Why don’t we turn on a different movie now.. Maybe Easy A?”

“Well it’s not quite the romantic comedy I’d wanted to see but yeah. It’s your pick now.” I rested my head on his shoulder. That is until I remembered that’s not what friends do! I jerked away hiding my face which really wasn’t going to help this situation..

The room grew quiet, Tj had already turned off the film we’d been “watching.” I could feel his gaze on my back and I flinched at the soft “Cyrus?” That filled the empty room.

“I’m so sorry.. Please don’t be mad.” I whispered into the couch cushion.

I continued to keep my head buried away that is until I felt a light touch on my shoulder that made me flinch. “Cyrus.. Are.. Are you gay?..”

I wanted to shake my head. Wanted to flee this conversation. Wanted to leave this house and never come back. Even if it was my house. But I didn’t do any of that I just let a tiny, “Yes” flutter off my lips.

There was a little more force in the way I was pulled away from the couch. My face hot as Tj pulled me closer to look at him. “Cyrus.. Did you think I’d be mad?”

I closed my eyes the heat in my cheeks unmistakable as I nodded refusing to look at him. Suddenly the hands on my shoulders left, leaving me with a feeling of emptiness that I didn’t like. My eyes fluttered open to see the warm smile Tj currently has on his face. “I’m not mad.”

His fingers lingered against my palm before a slow sliding occurred. His hands suddenly locking with mine. I couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t think. But I definitely didn’t want him to pull his hand away. “Still wanna watch Easy A?” He asked as if he hadn’t just given me a mini heart attack.

My mouth just closed and opened slowly before shutting completely. This time when Tj laughed though he pressed his temple to mine, his hair fluttering against my forehead.
