*stumbling away from my first successful video game torrent like a newborn deer on wobbly legs*
#ra speaks#personal#I have yet to launch it but. apparently. I have all the correct files.#AND malwarebytes didn’t flag anything in this torrent so 👍#I did get like. 3 free trials of different p2p vpns that I immediately cancelled lol#(proton vpn is good for regular stuff but you need to pay for p2p)#and most p2p vpns have a limit of 10 GB. so I kept pausing my qbitt download to get a different vpn up and running akdjdjdjssnsnb#but! it is done! the 30GB are on my ill gotten games external drive!#I have only to. actually boot it up and see if it turns my computer into a brick#(I backed it up earlier today so even if it does….I’ll be fine? maybe?)#(more likely it’s just. not gonna launch/be missing SOMETHING or whatever which :( sadge if true)

FUCKKKK my school frrr, network is totally capable of allocating me 86Mbp/s for JUST qBITTORRENT but instead of getting access to that we get throttled down to like >400Kbps if even.
#.txt#to explain what this graph is#the blue is my down speed#green is up speed#I have my vpn on and with port forwarding#which is able to circumvent my schools NAT protocol by forwarding the network traffic to a local port on my computer#(its technically remote port forwarding but)#and because I can get traffic directed to my machine a lot of the traffic that gets throttled by the networks security protocols#specifically NAT.( btw I am not inviting hostile activity onto the network I am just choosing to encrypt my data and verify authenticity#with a different protocol than NAT. specifically wireGuard which is the leading VPN protocol now)#however a lot of people dont like port forwarding because of that property and few VPNs support it anymore but its like the only way to#torrent at more than a snails pace#and so my school detected my high network activity and because of the encrypted data I was sending they literally just deny me service#I can just connect back with my regular PC no problem too so its not even stopping me#its just delaying me and making it annoying'

There is an near infinite backlog of content and if you're mad that Captain America 7 is gonna be late, you're not taking advantage of everything the internet has to offer.
Take this as an opportunity to catch up on things you missed, like, for example, Slings & Arrows and The Middleman and Barb & Star Go To Vista del Mar. (Then come back and help build Fandoms for them with me?)
I'm going to need y'all to preemptively chill out because the actor's strike is going to mean a lot of things including shows and movies we've been anticipating being pushed way back, and absolutely minimal press tours for the next however long this lasts.
The effects of the writer's strike are months down the road which made it a whole lot easier to support because as third parties we weren't really being affected (yet), the effect of the actor's strike is going to be immediate and we're going to get a lot more propaganda of "these people are overpaid to begin with."
Remember our desire for content does not supersede these people's rights to live.
Support unions, support the strikes.
#Sure you've seen Spirited Away but have you seen Porco Rosso?#Also torrents and VPN but neither here nor there.#Go back further... Watch Dark Angel the show with baby Jensen Ackles and Jessica Alba that provided the first seeds of the omegaverse#Watch Columbo and Mash#SOAP had the first openly gay series regular in US TV history and it's ridiculous#I could recommend you TV shows til I'm blue in the face.#If you're suffering from lack of content bc of the writers strike there's something deeply wrong with you.#And if you're not sympathetic to the writers who make your content happen then you are a putrid rotting rat on the subway tracks of Tumblr

Did You Know The Phoenix Mercury Cannot Play A Normal Game Of Basket Ball ?
Celeste! Taylor!! 3 points, 5 rebounds, FIVE Steals!, One Block! [and maybe the most eventful free throw in a game of basket ball ever]
ppl yap about oh so and so loves their rookie the most da da da da... nobody loves their rookie like the merc love celeste taylor [did you see the hug when kiki made her second 3 between dt and celeste on the sideline? I did . they showed it 3 times. ]
bg getting ejected with rickea jackson? maybe the funniest thing all night/ season... right up there with the mtl/tor fights
bloodgate part 2? help
Tash Cloud with another points assists double double. and 2 steals!
FOUR! blocks from Natasha Mack!
we really can't talk about the DT -> BG plays enough. i know oh they've done it for 10 years with the merc, with usa, in russia, but we simply cannot talk about it enough
BG scored 14 points in 14 minutes, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks, shooting 87% on 8 fg attempts [that's 7/8]. All of the in the first half!!
monique 9 points, 3 rep, 1 block!
Kiki!!! 2 Clutch 3s, 60% from the field, 2 Steals
Sophie! filling that stat sheet: 14 points, 3 reb, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block
our +/- queens of the evening: Celeste +11, DT, Tash Cloud +9, Monique +8, Sophie +6
ok let me say this: I don't like the conversations and I don't appreciate the chatter about everything [as previously mentioned i am in deep denial] BUT I appreciate the narratives, the conversations, that the commenters are having surrounding the appreciation for DT
and I appreciate that they got her to do the post game interview but You Don't Have to Bring It Up To Her Face Every Time [bring it up to everyone else. get the stories the admiration, etc. but not to her- like this is common sense i fear] and did we have to talk about the first half shots? because they weren't falling for anybody that first half.
that being said, the shots not falling in the first quarter was so funny [not as funny as the ejection but close]
nate won a challenge yay
everybody loves cam brink
overall a lot to improve but also: the defense, the effort, the end result!
#phoenix mercury#i need to take a moment to rant about cbs sports network. it is so inaccessible#like they think oh well everyone has cable so it's fine! not it's not! and it's only if you have cable in your house#but you can't get it through any cbs streaming so you have to get a vpn#and i deleted my old vpn to save space but that was the one that worked and now i can't get it back bc my computer can't update#so i was back and forth on the buffer all night#it got to the point where the replay was up on league pass before i finished the stream so i just watched there#and like i should be willing to pay for a vpn but it's just too much effort#and honestly the only reason i decided to watch this game besides everything is bc the last time we were on cbs sn and i watched#we beat the nyl so that was a good time#and on top of all of that the 10:30 start plus i swear they had an extra 10 minutes of stopped game for reviews on top of regular time outs#i really am thrilled about this result i was clapping my hands together so hard#i also do all the little hand signals like for possession and travel#not thrilled that we're playing minnesota first round but Hopefully Every Will Remember that we h*te Ch*ryl r**v* :)

dear americans,
as a polish queer woman and human rights activist, i know exactly how you're feeling right now and what to expect from these elections. i lived through the 2015-2023 regime of pis, a right-wing populist party that divided families in the same way trump did. i’ve experienced the rise of fascism in poland, the influence of far-right parties like konfederacja, and their “santa’s little helpers”—ordo iuris, an ultra-conservative catholic organization (banned in many countries, mind you) that helped enforce a near-total abortion ban and runs anti-queer campaigns in public spaces. i supported the black protests in 2016 as a middle schooler when they first tried to ban abortion. as an adult, i actively participated in the 2020 women’s strike, running from police tear gas daily after they finally passed the ban. i supported friends who faced charges.
i’ve lived through intense homophobia in poland as a queer teen and adult. i survived the first pride march in my hometown, where far-right extremists threw stones and glass at us. i endured the anti-queer propaganda spread by the ruling party in state-owned media. i survived the “rainbow night,” poland’s own stonewall moment in summer 2020, when police arrested around 50 queer activists following the arrest of margo, a nonbinary activist. i survived the "lgbt-free zones," the targeted violence, the slurs from strangers on the street, and the protests i held against queerphobia. it was hard as fuck, but i survived.
but just because i survived, it doesn’t mean others did. many women died because of the abortion ban—marta, justyna, izabela, dorota, joanna, maria, and many others who didn’t survive pis’s draconian anti-abortion laws. milo, kacper, michał, zuzia (she was 12), wiktor, and other queer and trans kids and young adults took their own lives because of the relentless queerphobia.
despite all of this, our experience in poland can serve as a guide now. here are some tips for staying safe and how we, polish queers and women, organized under the regime:
safety first, always. if you know someone who’s had an abortion, no you don’t. if you know someone is trans, no you don’t. if you know people who help with safe abortions, no you don’t—at least not until you know it’s 100% safe to share. if you are queer or have had an abortion, only share this with people you trust fully. most importantly, not everyone has to be an activist just because they’re part of a minority. if it feels unsafe to share that you're queer, trans, etc., then don’t. it doesn’t make you any less queer.
use secure, encrypted messaging like signal for conversations on potentially risky topics, such as queerness, abortion, organizing counter-actions, protests—anything that might be used against you.
stay anonymous online. if you want to research or report something without surveillance, do not use regular internet. get a vpn (mullvad is affordable and reliable), download the tor browser (for both onion and standard links), and if you plan to whistleblow, consider using a riseup email account.
organize and build networks. community is everything now. support each other, foster independence, because your government won’t have your back. set up collectives, grassroots movements. create lists of trusted professionals—lawyers, doctors, etc.—who can offer support.
to lawyers and doctors: please consider pro-bono work. this is what got us through poland’s hardest times. your work will be needed now more than ever.
for protests or risky actions: always write a pro-bono lawyer’s number on your arm with a permanent marker.
get to know the anarchist black cross federation and other resources on safety culture: "Starting an anarchist black cross group: A guide"; Still We Rise - A resource pack for transgender and non-gender conforming people in prison; Safe OUTside the system by the Audre Lorde Project;
for safe abortion info or involvement: get familiar with womenhelpwomen.
stay radical, stay strong, stay informed: The Anarchist Library
if i forgot to (or didn't) include something, don't hesitate to reblog this post with other resources.
#kinda heartbroken i've gotta post something like this#but now my experience is needed more than ever and i AM going to share it#we are going to get through this#together#activism#anarchism#grassroots#anarchist#resources#useful#helpful#human rights#abortion#abortion rights#reproductive rights#queer#trans#transgender#lgbtq#us politics#usa#us elections#america#donald trump#kamala harris#stay safe#moira speaks

Top VPNs for Smooth Gaming on Platforms like PS5, Xbox, and PC
Gaming is fast, performance, and continuous entertainment. From gaming on PS5 to Xbox or PC, a Virtual Private Network (VPN) can significantly improve your gaming experience. A reliable VPN boosts the latency and provides safety while also offering protection for DDoS attacks and bypassing geo-restrictions or giving global access to gaming servers. Here are the best smooth gaming VPNs along with how they can improve your gaming experience.

Why Use a VPN for Gaming?
Prior to our tour of the top VPNs, let us first understand why gamers really need to use a No Lag VPNs for the following reasons:
1.Reduce Lag and Ping Times: Some VPNs can help gamer get fast routes to their gaming servers, thereby reducing lag and improving the ping.
2.Bypass Geo-Restrictions: Access games, DLCs, and content that may not be available in your region.
3.Protection from DDoS Attacks: The VPN hides your real IP address thus protecting you from being a target of DDoS attacks during online competitions.
4.Early Access to Games: Connect to servers in regions where games are launched beforehand.
5.Stable Connection: Good VPNs will hold back ISP throttling, thus ensuring stable speed.

How to Use a VPN for Gaming on PS5, Xbox, and PC
PS5 and Xbox:
Most console gaming devices do not have VPN applications preinstalled. Here is what you can do to connect:
1. Router - Install a VPN on the router, and then all the devices that connect to the network can be protected.
2. Via Ethernet - You can share your PC with the console by connecting the two using an Ethernet cable and letting it use the VPN connection.
Read More: Sites Like Erome
3. Smart DNS: Some VPNs come with Smart DNS, which allows you to unblock content but without sacrificing the speed affected.
For Computer
1. Direct App Installation: Download and install in your device the VPN app downloaded from the website of the provider.
2. Connect to Gaming Optimized Servers: Check server which is nearer to your game server, and use it for much better experience.
3. Adjust Settings: There are certains features that need to be turned on like split tunneling, which lets only the gaming traffic tunnel through the VPN to lessen lag.
What to Consider When Choosing a Gaming VPN
1. Speed: A gaming VPN ought to allow for high-speed connections in order to avert lag.
2. Server Locations: Greater numbers of servers create better chances for finding a fast connection not far from home.
3. Security: Strong encryption and DDoS protection are, of course, imperative.
4. Compatibility: The VPN should work with the gaming platform.
5. No Bandwidth Throttling: Unlimited bandwidth equals uninterrupted gaming.
Tips for Using a VPN to Improve Gaming Performance
• Choose the Nearest Server: The higher the distance from you, the more is the ping.
• Use Wired Connections: Wired Ethernet connections are much more stable and faster as compared to Wi-Fi.
• Close Unnecessary Background Apps: Leave more bandwidth for gaming purposes.
• Use Split Tunneling: By this, you can direct only traffic of gaming through the VPN for increased performance.
Benefits of Gaming VPNs Beyond Speed
Bypass Global Gaming Libraries: Play region-specific games.
Be Cautious: Guard your data while gaming in public.
Access Games Before Release: Log in to countries where games are released before yours.
Let No ISP Throttle: VPNs make it impossible for ISPs to throttle your connection
Final Thoughts
A gaming VPN can optimize your experience on the PS5, Xbox, and PC. These include minimizing lag and giving access to global servers: ExpressVPN, NordVPN, Surfshark, CyberGhost, and PIA are among the best options available. Choose a VPN based on speed, server coverage, and security options. With the correct VPN, you will look forward to smooth gameplay, faster connections, and access to global gaming content. Make a reliable VPN your weapon of choice today and take your gaming experience to the next level without any limits!

there's a lot of fear mongering around the new firefox terms of service and privacy policy and most of all of it is bullshit and, just fear mongering. One thing that is concerning however is the following:
Your use of Firefox must follow Mozilla’s Acceptable Use Policy, and you agree that you will not use Firefox to infringe anyone’s rights or violate any applicable laws or regulations.
Before this would only apply to mozilla services such as the matrix chat, firefox send (rip), the vpn, or whatever, but now they are saying it is applied to the browser as well.
And one of the things you shouldn't do according to the policy is, you guessed it:
Upload, download, transmit, display, or grant access to content that includes graphic depictions of sexuality or violence
So mozilla (perhaps accidentally, companies love to do this but also mozilla is kind of stupid), just said you cannot use firefox to browse porn. If it is intentional and they double down on this (which I'm really not sure if they even can, firefox is a program running locally on your computer, it's not a service they can just ban you from or anything like that, again, mozilla is a bit stupid), it's not a reason to use chromium. In the terms of service they also write:
These Terms only apply to the Executable Code version of Firefox, not the Firefox source code.
"the Executable Code" is vague, like does it count if you build it locally on your computer, or is it just the mozilla packaged versions of it downloaded from official sources or whatever idk.
But i think it would make sense forks don't count as the terms apply to "Firefox" and not anything else. So here's some alternative browsers which aren't firefox, but are firefox based:
Librewolf: just firefox, all the crap removed, and lots of privacy features turned on as well. Google is disabled in the search bar, but you can enable it again with a bit of a hack, and by default, history and cookies is cleared when you close it. You can turn that off easily. Basically identical to regular firefox otherwise, it's what i'm currently using.
Zen: Very new but gaining popularity quickly. kind of buggy due to it's recency, but people seem to love it. Main focus is customization, but with improvements in privacy, and speed. Pretty different from other browsers, but that might be what you want.
thats. basically the main two rn. i dont think anything else really would be good for most people and even as someone who really likes to get into things deep with privacy and security and shit i think librewolf is just fine. there's lot of other options but they're kinda all in the categories that these two cover.
While nowhere near in a state to be used as a regular browser, i would keep your eyes on Ladybird which is undergoing the insane challenge of making a web browser from scratch; it's not based on chromium or firefox. The first alpha version is projected to come out next year and it seems very promising.

Hacker Alphys/Alphys vpn
She's the team's engineer and will be in charge of any upgrades you can add to spamton's gun! as well as an important support to the gang
The guys will encounter her after the SCC equivalent boss battle, after that she'll help the gang through chapter 2 on a similar style regular alphys did at hotland in Undertale. After that she will be around in later chapters as both out support and a workshop to let you upgrade spamton's gun
shoutout to Notreal for the pixel art!

You can stream almost any movie or tv show (usually with subtitles) for free on anything that can run a web browser by visiting fmovies.to
If the ads are egregious then get an ad blocker. It's easy to do if you're on desktop. If you're on mobile then Firefox supports ad blocking, but Chrome doesn't. You can still block ads while using Chrome on Android though by installing Adguard.
If you want a higher quality and local copy of a movie or show then install a torrent client (I use Deluge) and find an active torrent for whatever you're looking to download. You can find torrents by going to 1337x.to, searching, choosing on of the top results, and then clicking the magnet link. If the magnet link doesn't automatically open the torrent in your torrent client then right click on it, copy the link, and past it into it (how you do this will probably vary slightly depending on what torrent client you're using).
You can also find movie torrents at yts.mx (which I like using just because it's a nice spot for browsing new releases when I'm not looking for anything in specific).
If you're worried about getting in trouble for torrenting (in canada ISPs are legally required to pass along any threatening copyright notices that they receive for your IP address, but you can and should just ignore these notices) then (instead of paying for a VPN) the website seedr.cc will torrent things for you and give them to you as regular downloads (that way your IP address isn't exposed to anyone other that seedr) (using it also means you won't need to install a torrent client). You don't get much space, but you can get more (without paying) by referring people (who also don't have to pay).
Running a random torrented windows executable can be sketchy sometimes, but you aren't going to get a virus from a pirated movie or song or a console video game rom.

🤡 happy twst april fools~ 🤡

(The last three April Fools’ Days were magical wheel/blastcycle-themed! For information on those, please check out this post!)
This year, you will be able to get “Magical Monitors” for the Guest Room from the in-game shop. It is a decoration item that depicts the VDC/SDC squad (Vil, Rook, Epel, Jamil, Kalim, and Adeuce) performing on a mounted flat screen TV.
This new limited-time furniture item pairs with a new video (VPN required for regions outside of JP, I believe). It shows a newscast-style skit (presented by Jamil and Kalim’s) and then an MMD performance of the NRC group performing the full version Absolutely Beautiful. (Yes, it involves the dance routine, including some ballet-like moves, and Jamil’s rap!) Afterwards, they show the audience how to do the dance moves at home. If that first video link does not work, try this one (in 2 parts; see the comments for the second half).
Additionally, there are plans for Extra difficulty to be added to regular battles mid-month. Previously, Extra was only in limited situations such as Unified Exams and (Guest Room) Material Collection Battles.
