This is going to be a stupid vent, but I need to get this out.
Someone just reblogged my xmas movies review post, and added a youtube video review from some dude with 4M+ followers reviewing a completely other xmas movie.
The movie this youtuber reviews is allegedly produced by some Christian fundamentalist pedophile and full of disgusting extremist propaganda. But in the first few minutes of the youtube review this guy describes how the movie isn't available to stream anywhere and the only way he was able to get a copy of this movie was to buy it and have them ship it to him for $10.
This is so far afield from what I do in my reviews, I'm offended someone attached this to my post.
First of all, my post is not monetized and usually does not get more than like 10 views. This youtuber is obviously monetizing his review for his extensive number of subscribers.
Also, he's selected something gross to review that's easy to dunk on, but otherwise not available to mainstream audiences like say something on Max. In order to find and review this so-called movie, he had to go to the dregs of the internet and send them money to get access to it. And he's clearly giving them more attention than they otherwise would have with his 4M+ subscribers. Why would you do that for fundamentalists? Why would you give them that gift --- except to exploit them for your own monetization?
Honestly, this whole youtube culture is gross and suspect. I think everyone who follows people on youtube should really start putting a critical thought to what they get out of it, what they're supporting, and why this shit is of interest to them. You're basically paying to spend 30 minutes feeling superior. Grow up.
nothing can break the bond between a friend who loves spoilers and a friend who just watched an amazing show and needs to tell someone the entire plot from start to finish
I wish the emperor in bg3 was as cool ( and hunky ) as you make them out to be, how you portray the gang and greygold is all so sweet 😭😭😭 but after finding out what he did to Duke stelmane... I'll just pretend your version is canon instead. I love your art!
Right, so originally I wasn't gonna abroach that topic with a 13½ ft pole, because sensitive subject, but gonna have to roll up my sleeves and acknowledge it was very much indeed a topic that Greygold had to consider and formulate their own conclusions on.
Sure even though Greygold didn't find out the be-hella-mean way, there were concerned friends with mindful observations that had Greygold confronting the possibility that the Emperor and Stelmane's secret underground business practices might've had some uh...Problems!
The conversation went a lil everywhere BUT in short-
Greygold's philosophy is to hope for the best, but always prepare for the worst.
Case in point: Greyg's team. Maybe not everyone did shitty things in their past, but they certainly had ample opportunity to do shitty things on this journey that Greygold had to veer them away from.
As Greygold sees it, if their teammates can change for the better, hopefully the Emperor can and will too. Everybody is capable of being awful, but also being awesome kind, so gotta give the squid a chance.
It's canon that Jason Todd can only be attracted to people who're willing to stand up to him and hates the idea of sex without love and i feel someone needs to tell the DC fandom that
Grayson Hawthorne, wearing a loosely tucked white shirt, collar and first button opened, hair slightly messy/tousled, with his glasses on, reading something....
Religion is just mind control no matter how you try to fucking frame it. All it ever has been, all it ever will be. If you need fucking religion to know what is good or evil. Then you are fucked in the head and shouldn't be near kids, you stupid fuck.
I know the gang cares about Arthur and they knew his sickness was serious and it's part of the narrative and whatnot, but really would it have killed them to just offer the occasional "is there anything you need Arthur?" or "anything we can do to help?" or even "how are you feeling today?" - I'm sure Arthur would rather be pestered slightly than have his rapid illness get straight up ignored yknow?
