I saw my first dandelion of the year. So It's time to post an asset pack of some pixel art dandelions for the Springtime. You can find my work on itch.io, under BTL games.

My work is at a "pay-what-you-want" model and always royalty free. You can download for free or you can shuck a coin at me. I believe making assets like this helps people step foot into game design or even just helps with any project they need.

I personally will use these for Minecraft mods & practicing 3D pixel art design. If you know someone that works with game design or wants to get into it, share this post with them. Maybe my work can be a good resource for them.

I've got some opinions about things and those things are mostly minecraft but also all video games 🎮

I feel like no one realizes that they can play...older things. I still play java Minceraft beta 1.8 unmodded! I paid 26$ ten years ago for it, I've played beta 1.6 through to vs 1.20 full release and y'know what? I just like beta 1.8 the most! And that's ok! I don't need to badger mojang for new mobs, I don't NEED the crab to be happy with my 26$ purchase, and for that matter I don't need JEI or crayfish's furniture mod to have fun, I just...like minecraft

And when I get bored... THEN I mod! I reinstall forge, I see there's a crayfish bridge mod now? Awesome! This version has bees? I LOVE BEES 🐝 lets mod some bees into 1.12 and have fun with the forestry mod.

Then when that gets boring...I play a different game until the 💫urge💫 to build a really tall tower and have a lot of chickens comes again

What I'm saying is play your video games, play old video games with bad graphics, play something that gives you joy, play something without a live model™️ and remember; you can add cute bees or crabs to whatever you enjoy 🐝🦀

I hope you and your sims enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed making it.

I’m feeling like crap so no writing will be done today (probably) so instead have sonic movie headcanons.

Sonic

- There’s always something hidden in his quills. ALWAYS. He takes a full chili-dog out of his quills one day and Maddie forces him to clean out his quills. They find crap he thought was just completely lost.

- Speaking of his quills, they’re always a mess. Think of eternally frizzy hair, now translate that into quills. The hair gel is a necessity.

- He really likes watching vine compilations and tries to drag everyone else into watch with him.

- He pretends to like first person shooters, but he actually really likes playing games like cult of the lamb. His favorite part is decorating his in-game area.

- (Based on a real hedgehog fact) Sonic’s purring sounds like rumbly huffing. He thinks it’s embarrassing.

Tails

- He’s the kinda guy to watch videos on retro game consoles repairs and modifications.

- He probably plays Minecraft but only with the Create mod.

- Tails stays up ridiculously late. Tom and Maddie tried assigning him a bedtime, but gave up after they found him with a new fully-built device for the third morning.

- He has a stash of trail mix. Brain food!

Knuckles

- He really likes Super Smash Bros. He absolutely challenges Tails and Sonic to play a match with him.

- When he learned grapes could just grow in a garden, he was overjoyed! There’s a mini grape garden in the Wachowski backyard now.

- He eventually gets the hang of sports and really enjoys watching games. The sport doesn’t matter, as long as it’s not tennis (he doesn’t understand what the hell is going on in tennis)

- (Based on a real echidna fact) Knuckles has a lower body temp than many mammals do. Sonic was concerned at first until Maddie told him that echidnas on earth also have low body temps compared to most mammals.

Shadow (general stuff plus “what if he joins the Wachowski family” stuff)

- He really likes rollerskating. Kinda obvious, but it’s very relaxing for him.

- Having been frozen for 50 years (and having only lived on a spaceship before that), he is kinda behind on pop culture. Sonic tries really hard to help, with… varying success.

- When he finally learns what a Hot Topic actually is, he asks Sonic to bring him to one. Turns out, he really likes the random pin basket (is that a thing everyone else’s Hot Topics also have? Just a basket full of random pins?) but not much else.

- He likes the sudoku app. That’s the only “video game” he cares to play.

- He’s a big fan of spicy food and coffee. Specifically those two. He probably carries around a bag of those ghost pepper espresso beans.

- (Based on a real hedgehog fact) Shadow’s purring is a bit more similar to a cat’s compared to Sonic’s. Loud and rumbly.

yuu manages to get all of their gaming systems from their world working in twisted wonderland. she connected them all with the help of ortho and now has access to all her games again. he uses this opportunity to introduce his friends to some games and gets them hooked on some.

yuu: really likes the honkai games and sometimes dabbles in genshin when they're interested in what's going on. long time main game pokemon fan (favorites are the sun and moon games). has both ensekai and jpsekai. occasionally plays sky but gets frustrated with the flying mechanic. loved the digital devil saga games when they came out and recently started playing p3r. still waiting to get unbanned from roblox.

ace: fell in love with the persona games, especially the ones under the smt persona ip. the persona 2 duology are her favorites. she has a roblox account but barely uses it. she plays wuthering waves a lot. modded minecraft truther right here. really good at solitaire, unsurprisingly. absolutely adores love nikki and the other games in the franchise.

deuce: he'd probably like games like smash bros and mario kart. also peaceful farming games too, he just seems like the type to like them. yuu introduced him to choose your own adventure games and he's been hooked ever since. they're his favorite type of genre and his favorite has to be telltale games' the walking dead.

riddle: big reverse:1999 fan, is in love with the story and character designs. ace made her play shin megami tensei iii: nocturne and she'll replay it sometimes. also adores love nikki but also adores the style savvy franchise games too. the moment she found ace attorney, it was like finding an oasis in the desert. unexpectedly liked bayonetta and has played all three games.

jack: he doesn't play video games that much, even before yuu introduced him to the ones of their world. he's just not interested in them but he occasionally plays minecraft with ace or sky with yuu.

epel: he won't admit it, but he loves lollipop chainsaw. he'll finish the game and then immediately start replaying it. he also likes farming simulator but lollipop chainsaw takes the cake. he plays the sonic games too but only because of the fandubs. if he gets to a cutscene, he'll sometimes quote the fandubs over the actual dub.

ortho: he's currently gatekeeping every single gacha game from idia while he plays them himself. he doesn't exactly have a favorite game but he definitely likes turn-based strategy games more than other types of games. he plays pokemon masters ex the most often and project sekai is right after it. he modded everyone 3ds'.

sebek: he mostly plays retro games and likes ocarina of time the most. he also likes old strategy games like the first fire emblem game and the first shin megami tensei game. he doesn't play often because of his duties as a personal knight of malleus, but sometimes he'll play pokemon red/blue with yuu. he was dared to play a dating sim one time and vowed to never again play one again.

it seems that issue people have with regretevator is that the game is trying to do its own thing at the expenses of making every reference it does less accurate to the source material and making a couple of things "in-name" only, which is jarring because it's only up until recently did regretevator do most of the roblox references accurately (such as williamplayz57 moving like a team create user very accurately, even the stuttery movement and username visuals is correct) - infected and NULL have time-period identifying text bubbles but ended up getting redesigned which clashes with the text bubbles they both use - dodge the teapots used to have no switchups in layout and no indicators for where teapots would spawn, no fafas whatsoever, but then that was changed - the default studio obby used to be straight up the default "classic obby" template from roblox studio, then it started getting new obstacles, the conveyor changed from purple arrow tiles to actual conveyors, and then they redesigned it, making it almost unrecognizable compared to the default template. plus, the commented-out code is grey when it should be green - teddy bloxpin has bonus lines that the actual gear doesn't have in fact, most of the references that regretevator makes is rarely completely accurate to the source material at all, it just seems that the retro quality being on par with The Classic is most often criticized because its a roblox game - four corners is in fact based on an children's game and shares its name and shares the same mechanic of picking a corner and hope you don't lose. for a time it was actually indeed luck based but then they added a part at the start showing which lights will activate in what order, which completely removes the luck mechanics and makes it more closer to a memory game than it was actually four corners - random maze is based on a screensaver from windows and it constructs itself accurately like the original screensaver when entering, but the maze doesn't collapse when the smiley face is touched, nor does it have rats running around. - the rats in that same maze also come from 3d movie maker, but unlike 3D movie maker their noses glow green, for some reason - the original minecraft skyblock had the chest at the edge and the tree in a corner, regretevator's version has them more centered (plus the textures are blurry, though this is excusable for some roblox texture limitations related reasons I can pretty easily guess. it could be fixed with a complicated surfacegui setup though) - gm_flatgrass was originally just the gm_flatgrass map from garry's mod, then they started adding entrances to the building, and then now it only vaguely looks like the actual map. there are a couple of other minor ones like pet capture deluxe's textbox having 4 lines of text as opposed to petscop's 3 line textbox (font being different is excusable mainly because roblox hasn't added support for uploading custom fonts yet)

Birb Jail. So I can harvest Eggs. Playing a mod on cursed forge called Cute Town Life. And living the life of a farmer with expanded animals and plants from the mod. So, that is the upgraded birch fencing keeping them in place. But they feel like they are pushing their beaks between the jail bars XD https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/cute-town-life Mod in case anyone wants to try it. Not spon, but been enjoying it. I plan to try to Breed all the horse colors for this save fire. Working on my Farm. And also been playing with some of the mods in it, like magic casting for spells and stuff. And eventual magical gardens with a familiar to help give me loot from animals without killing them. Also rode on a Elk on another save of this mod... which landed me in a winter biome with the extra biome pack. And rode into a village on my Elk. It was pretty cool. Though more things want to kill me animal wise. So, there is that XD Got killed by a jellyfish, and some boars have been really mean. Also there is mechanical kinda tech stuff, but more like, retro scifi like tubes and gears and stuff. With conveyor belts, and metal shoots. With more windmill, thermal type engines. Less like, beep boop computer tech. So, industrial not high science. Which is neat. Have played some more scifi minecraft mods... and well, was converted from player on the server, to stepping in to run the thing for like half a year. Sooooooo... Low science is less stress XD

Update on previous posts about kinsideration: not angelkin so far (not comfortable with this thought), but definitely knight archetrope.

Also a weird way of discovering it, but playing a minecraft mod developed by my friend, dragon survival, did awaken a very old thing in me. The experience of flight over vast expanses of land, the might, the mobility...

Somewhere in this blog I have a post about my self-discovery journey as a dog alterhuman, and my first ever kintype was a dragon. It was dark blue with yellow wings and belly plates, connected to water, stars and night.

I do not feel connected to these particular concepts anymore, but it suddenly feels very pleasant to imagine myself as a dragon once more.

I believe that my noemata as a dragon would be mostly brown-ish now, with sandy and dull green colors in some places. I also think that the wings are both leathery and feathery, with feathers covering part of the membrane. A bit weird-looking in form and proportions, maybe, like those funny dragons you see in retro fantasy art.
