If anything they have more in common now. They both don't like being wrong, tech smart, fought in a war, and got dumped by their crush cause their crush wanted to raise a baby instead of hang out with them! I don't really ship them romantically tho. The gems would be more like his lesbian posse who're all tied together thru the gossamer thread that is Morty and Steven being friends.

The story was that Pearl got poofed running away from federation goons and Rick saved all their butts. They go home and after hearing she could take weeks to reform, Rick ends up belching on her to get her to come out. She does and they go back to their old song and dance. Kind of wished i finished it but my life is junk

I think that the whole Rick x Pearl shit that I’ve been seeing on TikTok had to of created a whole wave of crack ships. Like I’m seeing ROTTMNT Mikey x Miles Morales??? I’m a fan of the good rare pairs and crack ships, but my brain can only hold so much.

It doesn’t help that I’ve totally started shipping those two as well. Not at all.

i keep seeing pearl/rick - both here and on the big r&m discord server, as well as on tiktok for some reason??

some seem very negative; bringing up valid points about pearl being a lesbian or rick being toxic, or just generally hating crack ships.

some are pretty positive! supporting the artists and saying it sounds cool or cute or chaotic.

but one of the biggest debates i’ve witnessed is over this image:

anyway, i’d like to settle the debate. yes, pearl is alive in that fanart, even tho basic steven universe knowledge says she would have to give up her form to have a child - and sure you (fictional person i’m lecturing) are correct on that.
