My Followers Dearest,
I am happy beyond words that all 37 of you follow me while I post all sorts of random messes and memes. It is more than I can ask for as I didn't expect even a single person to take an interest. All of you mean quite a lot to me.
But the question never leaves me:
Why did you follow me?
I needed an answer.
So here I am, I'm gonna be tagging all of you so I can get a general idea of what exactly makes people like yourselves want to hit the follow button. I might lose a few of you because of my recklessness, but oh well, it was lovely knowing you and your content (believe it or not, I always look through your blogs out of never-ending curiosity).
Let the tagging begin!

Update on Redo of Healer
So, I was wrong to have said that no one was likable. But the real problem is that they're really only there for the sake of being there. Sure, they have interesting personalities or have reasons to crave vengeance for their wrongdoings, but outside of those aspects, they don't come across as fully well-developed. In other words, they are tolerable, but even then, there is nothing that really makes you invested in seeing them succeed.

Sociopath Profile: Mr. Kōbe
Tumblr media
Shio and Asahi’s father Corrupted form from Asahi’s memories on right, real appearance left From the manga series Happy Sugar Life (2015-2019) and its 2018 anime adaptation Voiced by Eiji Miyashita Requested by @robbyrobinson
Kōbe is easily the worst parent or parental figure in this entire series. To call him a parent is giving him too much praise. He easily fits the model of a low-functioning sociopath in the process.
TRIGGER WARNING: mentions of rape and domestic abuse throughout.
[SPOILERS BELOW]
For one, his impulse-control is practically non-existent. He has a monumental temper and seems to be looking for any excuse to abuse anyone around him. The reason he became a father in the first place is because he raped Yūna simply for bumping into him by accident. And their parents forced them to get married as soon as they found out she was pregnant with Asahi. And throughout the marriage, she abused her and his son. It doesn’t stop at violence either. When he gained his own father’s inheritance, he blew it all in no time and came back to the family when he was out of money. His alcoholism is also another indicator since substance abuse is another common symptom.
Of course, this all proves that he doesn’t care about anyone. He doesn’t care about any of the people he has hurt and will hurt them without a second thought. When he’s forced into the marriage, he seems indignant throughout the whole meeting. And as far as the inheritance, he doesn’t bother spending any of that money on his family. He fucks off and goes to spend it on himself, wasting it without a second thought. He was even celebrating his own father’s death.
People only seem to be considered in how they are of use to him. Mostly in how he can hurt them for his own stress relief, but there’s also the fact that he saw his dad’s death as a way to go on his own spending spree. He disregards his family since he doesn’t need them anymore and only comes back when he’s out of money and he can exploit them. There’s also the implication that he continued to rape Yūna throughout their marriage.
The lack of remorse shows in everything he does. He doesn’t hesitate to do terrible things to people, such as ripping Asahi’s fingernails off. Asahi faced the brunt of it for five years until Mr. Kōbe died. Mr. Kōbe also didn’t care about the woman he raped for a reason that most people would only get mildly annoyed. He doesn’t tend to consider consequences of his actions and is incredibly short-sighted.

Why did you make me do that, Avalone? You’re trying to keep this blog running forever so you can watch everyone around you fall into despair! Think, Avalone! Just because you’re the computer you think you can play around with the lives of others just because they’re programs? What will you have after 4 years?

The Invisible Man (2020) Review
After a slew of bad horror films, The Invisible Man is probably one of the best out of the bunch. Elisabeth Moss portrays Cecilia, a woman who escapes her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Adrian Griffin. A week or so later, Adrian apparently committed suicide, but something feels wrong with it. Despite being free of her abusive ex, Cecilia still felt trapped, and when odd occurrences began to happen around her that threaten her life, Cecilia becomes increasingly convinced that her boyfriend isn’t dead.
Elisabeth Moss does an outstanding job in her role as Cecilia. She is a troubled young woman who’s trying to recover from an abusive relationship but even after she heard that her ex-boyfriend apparently “died,” she can’t help but feel that he’s still after her. Moss does an amazing job with her portrayal; such raw emotions that make you feel terrible that her character is going through these events and want her to be genuinely happy. Yet at the same time, the movie makes it such a way when even though you know what’s going on, she does say some ramblings that leave you asking maybe she is going insane. The other characters were pretty weak especially with James and his daughter.
The film is suspenseful. The happenings start off relatively minute; a frying pan escalating in heat before igniting; bed sheets getting pulled off as the person slept. But then it gets even more sinister. You know that the Invisible Man is somewhere, but because of him being, well, invisible, you never know when he’d make his next move. The action is also great. Every time someone fights with the Invisible Man, there is a force to it. You practically feel each punch and kick rather than just feeling that the characters are throwing punches in the air.
The only real complaints I had with the film is that it does require you to take a few leaps in logic and it felt as though it deliberately disregarded fleshing out the plot and the other characters such as how we get that Cecilia claimed that Adrian was abusive towards her, but we never fully get any scenes or flashbacks to it. The Invisible Man himself is also pretty one-note. While I don’t expect them to humanize this iteration of the classic Universal Monster, in other films such as the original, while he was a monster, it was made apparent that he was tragic given the circumstances around him being turned invisible. But that probably is because the film is really about Cecilia and how she escaped her abuser and her struggles to adjust to normal life.
Overall, despite its flaws, it was a great movie that really makes me hopeful that Universal can give the same treatment to their other entourage of monsters. Perhaps the Dark Universe could get a second lease of life.
SCORE: 8/10

This excerpt is from an interview given by Robby Robinson in this month’s Men’s Health magazine. Robinson is African American and was a bodybuilder who rose to prominence in the 1970s and 1980s.
Faced with massive racial prejudice in the American bodybuilding world, he would move to Europe to compete and teach without the same racial issues he faced here in the states.
His words are inspirational in the face of adversity and hate. It is true, life and the world at large doesn’t owe us anything. It isn’t perfect. We have to make of life whatever it is that we want from it while rolling with the punches. Hard work, determination, discipline and motivation will get us the lives we want.
Have a great Sunday folks. Stay strong. Stay real and true to yourselves.
