Rowan and Emilio always joke that one of the cleaning ladies in OnePP is actually a ghost. She only seems to be there at in the evening/at night when almost no-one else is around, but once you turn your back she disappears, only for her to reappear when you least expect. They’re sure that there’s some kind of logical explanation, but find it much more fun to believe she’s an otherworldly entity.

ooooooh oh this is a hard one. almost every song i throw onto a playlist is there for a reason but i'm gonna DO MY BEST here we go:

arisanna: home (beetlejuice cast recording) - i swear to god every day i am surprised i didn't write her specifically after this song. i like this one even better than dead mom for her overall because dead mom feels more angry, whereas this one feels like desperation and defeat that turns into acceptance. love the arc of this song and thinking about it in an ari context makes me want to cry so hard.

sylph: i love it (icona pop) - not ONLY does this one have sylph vibes in terms of lyrics, but it's funky 2010s dubstep pop. that's so them it hurts. sylph only listens to the most insane pop music of 2010-2014 i truly believe that in my heart

owen: waving through a window (dear evan hansen cast recording) - another win for the broadway bitches. perfect for him both in life and in death, honestly. i particularly love the "did I even make a sound? it's like I never made a sound, will I ever make a sound?" for him because of the idea that his life ended so fast he never got to do anything with it. also, similar to ari, this is a song with so much desperation in it.

rowan: pink pony club (chappell roan) - i actually can't get too much into this one without spoiling things, but know that this song is her to the core. rowan is in fact a chappell roan girly

mal: r.i.p. 2 my youth (the neighborhood) - so this guy doesn't have a playlist yet but something about this song really speaks to me for him. he's gone through some SHIT and i can't wait to get into it in future campaign sessions :D

How would David react to Rowan catching him sewing up his face and trying to stop or help him from doing that?

LOL that actually sorta happens in the Worms animatic! I imagine this happened before they were really good friends, in the 'barely warming up to each other' phase, and yeah, lets just say Rowan was kinda horrified.

I figure what ended up happening David is was so startled by being caught that, before Rowan could even try to talk him down or help him clean up David just kinda freaked out and retreated into his room, refusing to leave or even speak except to desperately tell him not to call an ambulance, which Rowan tentatively agrees to even tho he's freaking the hell out and their house is full of blood now.

Rowan leaves some medical supplies outside of his door then goes to calm down in the hall outside. When he comes back in again the supplies have vanished. After that its literal days/weeks before they see each other again cause David is mortified of what Rowan must think of him and cant bare for Rowan to see him again after that. By the time Rowan manages to catch David out and about the stitches have already healed into his face.

David is terrified that he just scared off the one person in the world who was even trying to make the effort to be his friend but the whole incident makes actually just makes Rowan more determined.

I think this was the beginning of the end actually.

Love your take on Rosiepuff! I noticed how sometimes in many big families some children gets to experience a different version of their caretakers than their older or younger sibling. I can see Branch remembering Rosiepuff as the sweetest angel that wouldn't hurt a fly. BUT in turn, his brothers would have been able to experience some bits of her angry side. Like, has anyone considered that part of the reason why none of Brozone returned immediately is because they could be TERRIFIED of facing grandma after leaving like that??? (I don't really think it's unrealistic for her to not stop them because she could think they are just throwing a tantrum and will come back after cooling off)

YES! THAT'S HOW I'VE ALWAYS HEADCANON ROSIEPUFF, like since the first film That woman saw a bergen reaching for her kid and didn't HESITATE SHE WAS ON A MISSION. And I totally think that Brozone + Rowan are scared as hell of her.

And yeah I totally think she thought they were just throwing their tenth tantrum that week and that's why she let them go.

I also think that Branch knows how his grandma was but it's totally biased with her💀💀, like If he caught any of his brothers saying anything slightly not positive about her he will grab a stick and be like "What are you saying about the woman who raised me"

The Staghorn Crown of Terrasen sat atop its emerald-green velvet pillow, the gold spires that resembled antlers jutting proudly up into the still, silent air of the throne room. At its center, the kingsflame bloom encased in crystal seemed almost to glow, the scarlet and crimson and orange of its petals radiating warmth and light.

The princess rose onto her tiptoes and fixed her wide-eyed gaze upon the crown, the pedestal just barely taller than her head. At the sound of footsteps entering the throne room, she startled, and her elbow knocked into the pedestal as she wobbled, trying to keep her balance.

She stared, her wonder turning to horror, as the crown tipped off of its cushion and tumbled towards the floor.

But a swift, wintry wind brushed through the throne room, caught the crown, and deposited it neatly back on its cushion, its tendrils wrapping carefully around the princess as she wobbled on the steps.

"Are you alright, little love?" Her father's voice, her father's wind.

Six-year-old Alanna Whitethorn Galathynius felt her lower lip shiver as the tears slowly spilled out of her eyes, the same bright pine as her father's. In an instant, her father was there, scooping her up into his arms, soothing her.

"I--I almost broke Mama's crown," Lana half-sobbed, burying her face in her dada's warm shoulder.

"Shh, little love, it's alright." Rowan carried Lana back to her rooms, where her mother was waiting, concern on her face. He kissed the top of his daughter's blonde head. "You know Mama and I would never let anything happen to you, Lana."

She sniffled. "I sorry, Mama."

Aelin took her daughter from her mate's arms, giving him a brief, tender look. "Lana, lovey, you mean so much more to me than that silly old crown." She cupped the little girl's face, meeting Lana's teary gaze with her own steady one. "Were you trying to see Mama's crown?"

Lana nodded. "Auntie El said you used to try and see it all the time when you were my age."

A distant, yearning smile slipped across Aelin's face. "That was...a very long time ago. I'm surprised she remembers." When she was a child, Aelin had often slipped into the throne room to stare at the crown from a distance, a memory she'd almost forgotten until her daughter brought it up.

Calming, Lana touched the bracelet that curled around Aelin's wrist, a smaller version of the crown with golden prongs like antlers. An everyday crown. "It matches."

"Yes, it does." Aelin kissed Lana's forehead. "Do you want to go see the crown, lovey?"

Lana's big green eyes lit up. "Yes!"

"Alright, then." Aelin stood up and took Lana's hand, and with Rowan at her back, ever the hovering buzzard, she led her daughter down to the throne room. Together, they walked across the quiet, shadowed expanse of the room, its soft darkness broken by the sunlight that streamed in through the arched windows along the walls.

At the front of the throne room, she lifted the crown's cushion off the pedestal, slowly knelt down in front of her daughter with a flicker of a grimace of discomfort, and set the cushion on the ground. Lana's expression widened with wonder as she clung to her mother's hand and stared at the crown.

Rowan knelt next to Aelin, concern creasing his face. "Are you sure you should be--"

"I'm fine, you overbearing buzzard," she sighed, one hand drifting to her very rounded stomach.

A tiny mirror of her father, Lana pressed both of her small hands to Aelin's bump. "Mama, baby?"

"Baby is just fine, lovey," Aelin promised. Gently, reverently, she lifted the crown from its cushion and raised it into the shaft of sunlight, causing light to radiate off of the kingsflame bloom. As her daughter and her mate watched, she carefully lowered it onto her head, feeling its familiar weight settle over her.

Lana stared raptly. "Mama so pretty," she murmured.

Aelin smiled as she lifted the crown off her head. "One day, my daughter, this will be yours." Lana held very still as Aelin placed the crown atop her small head, holding it in place so it didn't slip down the princess's face.

And the Queen of Terrasen looked at the future queen, her heart full to bursting at the sight of her family.

Rowan has been burned by love before? Does he hookup a lot or was it one love?

Yeah. The thing about Rowan is that he does do casual hookups but in reality it is never casual for him lol. He can have one night stands and such but he will develop feelings and that actually gets mentioned in the story. Rowan’s affinity for falling in love too hard and too fast is sort of written as a joke amongst MC and the band but there is sad truth to it.

That’s why I’m hesitant to make him a hookup option because if MC and Rowan hookup, I will have to make him fall for MC if I want to stay true to the character I created for him (only if MC willfully hooks up with him of course). I was going to make MC the exception but it just doesn’t sound like him. In fact, MC would def be his “one that got away” lover. But since he’s not an LI he’d just be pining over MC which seems particularly cruel 😭

I mean, I do give you guys the option to break up a marriage and engage in an affair so I have no qualms about emotional cruelty and i cant take the moral high ground 🤣🤣🫵 but the difference is that there’s a pay off with G and Vic. They can still get their happy endings while Rowan has to fuck off somewhere Lmao

BUT honestly it’s kind of fun just keeping him a head canon and a tumblr-exclusive character thing.

Plus, as other anon said, Rowan can find true love somewhere else.

The perfume Rowan wears is subtle and he will only use a couple of spritz every morning before work as it lasts the whole day. It smells musky, of sandalwood and bergamot with a hint of mandarin.

How would the ROs react to a MC who chose only a chair to fight? Out of all weapons they can choose, out of any magical doohickey or clever scheme, they ignore the most obvious choice of weapon and hit the enemy over the head with a chair.

Florian: He's known you since childhood; he's come to expect and be amused by your nonsense.

Marcella: Same as Florian, except she would grab a chair and join in.

E: They've known you since childhood, and they're consistently exasperated by you.

Ari: She'd be confused at first, and would then provide backup so you don't get yourself killed. Expect a firm talking to after the fight.

Dimitri: You worry him so often that he's almost certain he's going to get ulcers from knowing you. He frets at you afterward.

Julian: He's highly amused and cheers you on. Seeing how pissed your opponents get makes his day.

Orion: He will confiscate the chair, sit you in the corner, and then take care of the fighting.

Rowan: They call you a dumbass afterward, but they're laughing. That's a huge win, seeing as Rowan almost never laughs.

Kira: She'll light the chair on fire for you, so now you're throwing a flaming chair. She's an enabler of chaos, so she approves.

Cier: He's also an enabler of chaos, and will hand you more chairs to throw while he lounges and enjoys the show.

Ilaria: Before you can fight with the chair, your enemy is already dead courtesy of her. From the look on her face, you might be next.

10pm snack runs weren't a wonderful idea on the best of days - less so when there was a risk for a werewolf transformation - but Rowan was craving prawn chips, and he wasn't great at culling those cravings anymore.

As he entered the shop, he could only sigh at the recognition. He's been here for less than a fortnight and he's already 'that guy'. Rubbing his eyes under his faux glasses, he growled under his breath and grabbed the largest bag of prawn chips he could find.

Smacking both the bag and 10 dollars on the counter, he grumbled. "Keep the change."

He wasn't here for the conversation today: and he had to get home before the cloud hiding the moon passed over.

rowan got jealous a lot, because of how insecure he was.

so when he saw his roommate xavier flirting with you, he got very jealous and insecure.

But you're kind of oblivious to the flirting because rowan doesn't do it a lot of times.

you felt like somebody was staring at you but you ignored it and continued talking to xavier.

and rowan didn't like it

so he grabbed some juice out of someone's hand and tipped it all over xavier.

"oh my god are you okay xavier?" you asked him while his hair was dripping with orange juice.

rowan was proud that he did it but when he saw you glaring at him he felt a little guilty.

you scolded him like a little child getting caught eating chocolate. He apologized to xavier but still thought pouring juice on him was funny.

he's cute when he acts all innocent and it is kind of funny when he gets jealous so you purposely make him jealous so you can see that side of him.

he needs lots of praises, and lots and lots of love.

when he's jealous we would embarrass them in front of you, or make them spill something on you so he can come save the day.

you didn't think it was rowan at first until you noticed all the times he was near you when somebody else was near you.
