I got into Hetalia originally around 2012/2013. (I actually have a side blog on here that I was using in 2014). A friend of mine sent me a link through, whatever messenger program we were using at the time, and all he said was "Watch this." I did, I am now here. Forever.

I swear my favorite character always slips between Rome and Romano. They are both serious comfort characters to me. I have so many thoughts and feelings surrounding the two of them that I cannot even put into words. One day I will probably be organized to. I have a document on my computer about Rome that MAYBE I'll turn into a fic one day. It was more detailed information for an old rp account I used to have around 2018 on facebook.

I first (actively) got into Hetalia in early 2022 iirc. So I'm pretty new to the fandom but I can't believe it's already been 2 years!

My favorite Hetalia character fluctuates and it's so hard to decide tbh!! So it'd be easier for me to list my top favs instead: Nyo Russia & Russia, Nyo America, Canada, Germany & Nyo Germany, Nyo Belarus & Belarus, Romano, and Prussia. I like a lot of others too ofc... England, France & Nyo France, Nyo Italy, Spain & Nyo Spain...

If I were to pick a top top top fav it'd have to be Nyo Russia(if you couldn't tell by my pfp lol). I love her design and the personality I gave her in my head. I'm very picky about her characterization and tend to throw out many drafts attempting her. She is so complex... Although Nyo Germany, Nyo America, and more recently Canada are up there too. I love writing and reading them! I've also gotten a new appreciation for Arthur? I now get why he used to be a Tumblr sexyman lol. He's very versatile

My top otp must be Amecan I guess, though USUK was my first ship and it's still a top contender. I was obsessed with Gerpru for some time so it's also up there! I also like Rusger, especially the Nyo Russia x Germany combination which tends to be nonexistent in the western fandom. And Nyo Rusbela gives me brainworms that regular Rusbela doesn't for some reason

As for ships I dislike... I'm probably gonna have to go against the grain here and say Rusame. The art and fics of it are usually so beautiful but it's just really not to my tastes. I don't like it in any variation, though I'll still read it if it's well written. My friends are VERY into it so no shade to anyone who likes it lol. Other popular ships I'm also not into are Rusliet, Prucan, and Rochu.

And yeah I hydrate myself like a camel don't worry. Drinking tea nonstop is part of my culture. I hate coffee but my doctor says I need to consume more caffeine so I may have to force myself to start drinking it 😔😔

shrugs. i like the 'another color' designs as a concept, but i really don't have the best grasp on 2ptalia as a whole. bc to me the 2ps are like. a character who is based off of the canon character, but their personality and traits are totally inverted; and their appearance, like coloring and clothing taste, are slightly altered? but according to some, it's the character "gone bad"? "gone evil"?? anyway.

-The cast is huge and as a result, things get a little chaotic on set

- Eren happily took his role as he sees it as a challenge considering the fact that Italy is well.....a pretty cowardly pasta loving dude.

- Italy's high pitched voice was hard for Eren at first but eventually he nailed it and almost lost his voice in the process

-Eren uses his normal voice for Romano

-Eren also sang most of the Hetalia themes and everyone else sang their own versions of the songs including the character songs

- Majority of the cast changed their hairstyles to fit with their characters

-They all took language and accent classes to nail the accents of their respective characters. Hilarity ensued

- Rin and Sukazu in particular shocked everyone with their acting chops on the show and their characters became the darkhorses of the show

- Ymir scared everyone with her performance as Belarus xD

- Levi was the one that originally played Japan

- Eren and Levi broke up around the timing of Season 3 of Attack on Titan which aired around the same time as this show and maintained a certain level of animosity for each other for years after that. What caused the breakup is still a mystery and it is something neither party wants to talk about.

- Thanks to said breakup, Eren and Levi refused to shoot scenes together and they often used stand-ins whenever the two shot scenes together. They even refused to do fan events together until a recent Hetalia reunion forced them to do so. Needless to say, it was uncomfortable for Eren as Levi kept on shading him. Thankfully, the others called him out on it, leading to Levi leaving the show and getting replaced by Zoro who many believed to be a better fit for the role

- It was during this period that the relationship between Eren and Ahri deepened. Ironically some fans began to ship Italy and Taiwan due to that one scene where Italy takes Taiwan out on a date. That scene is both Eren and Ahri's favorite scene

- Speaking of the Royal Couple, the paparazzi caught Eren and Ahri kissing one day on set. That drove the media frenzy to an overdrive.

- Ironically, Eren and Ahri sort of dated in real life but had to seperate out of fear of the impact the constant media attention could cause to their relationship. They would get back together years later

- They always throw parties for their birthdays and big wrap parties after shooting for each season as well.

- The Asian kids are the main noisemakers on set

- Levi once played a deadly prank on Eren by firing a firework which hit and injured Eren and landed him in hospital for weeks. He has not apologised for that

- There have been jokes about France's ecchi tendencies amongst the cast, something Sanjii relishes with glee.

- Sanji and Bakogou actually get along in real life compared to their characters

- South Korea was initially edited out of the show due to some political controversy but was later restored back after fans demanded for his return. Suzaku was pleased with this

-The Nordics are as close as their characters and often go bungee jumping snowboarding together

- The Axis and Allies often engage in prank wars on set which often get out of hand

- Mikasa was offered the role of Taiwan initially but because she asked for way more money than she was supposed to be paid plus insisted on being the lead actress, the role was given to Ahri instead who made her acting debut through the show. Needless to say, Mikasa was not amused by this as the show made Ahri a big star especially as her character started getting more prominent on the show

- That incident started a one-sided rivalry of sorts between Ahri and Mikasa partially due to the show. The other reason is because of Eren

- It was during season 2 of Hetalia that Eren and the AOT cast regained their memories

- That alone caused a rift between the Hetalia cast and some of the AOT cast due to the manner by which Eren was treated. Those AOT cast members got replaced

- Jean, Reiner, Historia, Floch and Sasha are the only members of the AOT cast that still talk to Eren besides Zeke and Ymir and Eren's parents

- Eren's mental state began to decline during this period. The only thing that sort of kept him happy was Ahri who was unaware of what was going on because Eren did not tell her much. She would later find out in Lost And Found

- Season 4 of Attack on Titan was hellish for Eren given his actions in real life. The cast had to pretend like they were one happy family for the cameras when in reality that was never the case. Levi even lied and said that Eren cheated on him and even Mikasa when they dated whereas that was not true.

- Levi also told all sorts of ugly lies about Eren which caused a backlash on Eren for a while and almost led him to commit suicide

- Most of Eren's friends called Levi out on his actions and also dragged Mikasa down too for her own actions since she was part of the whole drama

- Eren has since semi-retired from the entertainment industry. He still performs to some extent and still records music but he has yet to release an album in years.

-There was a song Eren recorded about the Ackermans where he lambasted them for their actions called Toxic Love. He never released it but Zeke leaked it out anyways and fans were saddened that said song was not officially released as it would have been the perfect response to Levi's song, Blood Traitor

- Lelouch had a nasty breakup during this period as well from his girlfriend named Sally

- Eren was not the only Aogiri member that had a mental breakdown. Kaneki had one too after that tragic accident that Aogiri went through

- In short the entire group was not the same again after losing 3 members of the group like that.

- Every year, there is a special candlelight vigil remembrance event for the fallen members of the group

- Usagi Tsukino who plays Nyo!America on the show has not completely recovered from the loss of her boyfriend Mamoru Chiba and is another person being placed on suicide watch

- Eren no longer talks to Armin and Mikasa for obvious reasons

- The scenes where some certain countries get drunk? Yup, the actors in question got drunk in those scenes

- There were stories about a ghost haunting the set. No one knows who started those stories

- The main cast exchanged their roles and lines for a scene once during a fan event. Hilarity ensued.

He and Eren are friends in real life and he almost killed Levi when he heard what happened on that set. His favorite scene was a scene of that one time Italy lost his shit and went full-on psycho mode on Russia. Needless to say, that scene was both hilarious and at the same time scary

I looked up at the cealing and felt the cold glass on the back of my head. Tomorrow was the day of the recital and I’ve never felt so damn nervous. I stared at the reflective floor. It was cleaned a few minutes ago by the nice old janitor that often took care of me when I felt down. 

I started remembering how badly I messed up during practice today. I threw my partner into the air and didn’t catch her. I almost broke her back! Of course, I kept apologizing and she kept insisting that it was her fault, even though I was the one that lost focus in the first place. I sighed and thought back to what my father said.

“Stay graceful Ivan, and the world will reward you with all the happiness and treasures in the world.”

I scoffed.

Graceful was the one thing I didn’t and would never have.

I looked down at my hands and started figeting.

Why did I chase this dream anyway? It was stupid, I would never be like what father wanted. My father wanted me to achieve his dreams, ones that he wanted to do as a kid. He wanted to move to the western part of the world, he wanted to be a ballerino.

Back where he was born, ballet was a beautiful thing that brought people of all genders together, but in the west it was purely for amusement and male ballet dancers are ‘unnatural’.

I sighed, changed and packed up. There was no way I was going to be able to practice after what happened today. Or in other words, The air felt suffocating, these were not ideal conditions for practicing ballet.

I walked out of the studio and turned on my phone as I placed the earbuds in my ear. While I walked toward the bus stop, I looked at my phone to pick a song.

I immediately felt hot sticky liquid on my shirt. I groaned.

‘Just my luck.’ I think

“Oh god! I’m so sorry!” a panicked woman’s voice said. I immediately looked down to locate the voice.

“No no, I’m sorry! I wasn’t looking where I was going.” I said quickly.

“No, really it’s my fault that there’s a stain on your shirt. Is there anything I could do to make up for it?” The blond haired, blue eyed woman said as she looked pleadingly into my eyes.

“Um, n-no really it’s fine! I can wash this off quite easily!” I say blushing of embarrassment.

“No, I’ll feel guilty for the rest of my life! I’m definitely going to help you!” The woman said puffing her cheeks.

‘Well, she’s not going to give up, is she?’ I thought while I stared at her.

“Ok then, I obviously can’t change your mind. Where are we going?” I sighed, having a hint of annoyance mixed in.

“To my house of course!” She beamed brightly not noticing the tone.

‘Great, I’m going to a house of a person I haven’t even know for 3 seconds,’ I think as she grabbed my hand and ran toward her house.

A few people who saw the scene play out stared in confusion, wondering if they should interfere.

“So, here we are!” She smirked proudly as she opened the door.

I looked at her house in awe as I walked in. It was a studio apartment but that wasn’t the amazing part (If anything that was pretty sad). The amazing part was the neon pink, green and blue stripes that covered the room in a thunderbolt type design. The wall behind the obviously used futon had the words ‘York’s Dancers’ pained in a bold white.

“Umm, so what’s the ‘York’s Dancers’ thing on the wall.” I asked touching it.

The girl looked at me surprised.

“You’ve never heard of the York’s Dancers?” She asked obviously offended.

“N-” I managed to say before I get cut off.

“Well, then you must be new here. We’ll talk about it after I wash your shirt.” The woman interrupted, placing her bag on the floor.

“No, I’ve actually been here for a y-" I say before I get cut off, again.

“Hush, put your stuff on that chair. Also, there should be a bunch of my twin brother’s shirts in that closet. Also go take off your shirt in the bathroom. I don’t need to see that stuff.” She demanded.

I sighed and put my bag on the chair. I open the closet and it was filled with ‘woman’s clothing’. I quickly closed it.

“Hey! There’s woman’s clothing in the closet!” I said blushing like a tomato.

“Then that’s the wrong closet!” she yelled back quickly.

I looked around for another closet and open it. I immediately get smacked with the strong smell of cigarettes and alcohol.

I put my hand over my nose and look to see black shirts, black pants and hoddies saying things like ‘Life Sucks’ lined up on the hangers.

‘Well this guy’s basically a high schooler in his goth phase.” I think rolling my eyes.

“This will have to do I guess.” I grumble while trying to pick out a pair of pants and a shirt that don’t smell like a hardcore drug addict (harder than it sounds).

I quickly go into the bathroom and change, the shirt was quite small but the pants fit perfectly.

‘Who knew my clothes aged me so much! I look like a teenager again!’ I mused in my mind.

I walk out of the bathroom quite unwillingly.

“Hey, I’m done!” I say to the woman now sitting on the couch smiling at her phone.

“Oh wow, you look like a bigger dork than my brother.” She said teasingly.

“Yeah, yeah. Anyways, I realized we haven’t properly introduced ourselves-" I said before getting inturupted, yet again.

“Oh right! Where are my manners? Ok I’m Amelia F. Jones and I have a twin brother who’s named Matthew Williams. I work at York’s Dancers, a dancing group! My brother’s a total d*ck and is probably a drug dealer or something.” She said a bit too cheerfully.

“I’m Ivan Braginsky, and I have two sisters. Natalia Arlovskaya and Katyusha Melnik. I work in New York’s Ballet as a Ballerino. I moved here as my dad’s last wish. My sisters both live in our family houses back in Russia with our mother.” I said a bit nostalgic.

Amelia’s face softens.

“I’m sorry for your loss.” She said softly.

“It’s fine.” I replied trying to get my mind off of them. Jesus, I haven’t seen them in a month.

I heard the door creak open. I ignored it thinking it was the wind, it was an old studio after all. Big mistake.

“AMELIA F. JONES,” a male’s voice screams, as Amelia freezes, “WHO THE HELL IS THAT!”

“Oh hello, Matt...” she says happily at the man which I assumed to be her brother. He was slurring over his words and didn’t mentally seem there, and god that horrible smell.

“Ugh, sorry Amelia, I’m just a bit stressed out. But honestly who’s he?” Matthew mumbled holding his head.

“Oh he’s Ivan.” She sang pointing at me.

“Huh, ok. I’ll be on the sofa. By the way Francis and Artie are coming over in a few hours.” He said quite casually as Amelia freezes.

“Yeah, um.. Matt, I’m going to The Dancers, I’ll be back.” She spoke quickly as she got up.

“Mhm” Matt replied in a slurred tone.

“Um, yeah Ivan! Come on!! Let’s go!” Amelia said energetically as if the exchange never happened.

“Wait where?” I replied, screaming in my mind as she grabbed my hand.

“The York’s Dancers HQ, silly!” She said as she tries to drag me out of the studio. I quickly picked up my bag knowing that I probably won’t be coming back. She successfully pulled me out of the studio.

“Wait, what-“ I said reacting a bit late. I get shoved into a taxi by Amelia.

“Just wait. It’s a bit far away but I promise it’s worth it!” She says smiling.

The car ride was 15-16 minutes not filled with one awkward moment. We talked about our childhoods and why we chose the path we did. I realized that we were really similar. Amelia chose to be a dancer because her mother wanted her to be a dancer. Amelia was the one without the criminal record so she supported her brother and herself by working.

‘Arthur and Francis’ were their adoptive parents. They abandoned Amelia and Matthew when Arthur and Amelia had a fight on her future.

‘That’s kinda a dick move’ I thought.

“Oh, we’re here!” She announced happily, bringing me back from my thoughts. I looked up at the building amazed.

“Oh wow, this is way different than I imagined it.” I said surprised.

“What did you think it was? A junk yard?” She joked grinning.

“Kinda-" I say embarrassed.

“Oh well, then you have low expectations.” She giggled.

“Hey!” I blurted in a mildly offended tone.

“Oh, well let’s go.” She said proudly.

While we walked into the the 5 story building I observed it. It was painted black and neon pink on the outside. There was a board on the top that said ‘York’s Dancers’ in neon pink cursive font. We walked into the black tinted glass doors. The inside was weirdly, more aesthetically pleasing than the outside. The inside had black carpet and glowing neon lights leading to each doorway. My mind was blown away at the system. There were 4 doorways. Each doorway was illuminated in a certain light spelling out each level. The first spelled out ‘Beginner’ in a green light, the second ‘Medium’ in a red light, the third ‘Expert’ in a blue light, and ‘Performers’ in a purple light having a ring of yellow.

“Come on follow me!” She said walking toward the ‘Performer’ door.

“Wait, you’re a performer!?!” I said surprised.

“Of course, what did you think? How else would I get money?” She said snorting.

“Umm, right.” I said quickly.

I pushed open the black metal door and hear many songs jumbling over each other in the background. I see people practicing breakdancing and some other dances which I didn’t recognize.

“Well, this is chaotic-" I said surprised at all the crazy moves and positions they were in.

“You know what they say, ‘Chaos isn't meant to be understood’” She said smiling at me.

“Pretty sure, dancing is supposed to be understood though," I teased lightly.

“Eh, shut up and let me sound poetic or whatever.” She smirked looking into my eyes.

‘This is going to be the beginning of something,’ I thought while Amelia talked to some kids about the beat being off. I beamed at her when she turned to look at me, ‘And god, I can’t wait to see where this goes.’

Ok so me and my friends got into a weird lil shipping war.... sort of. One threatened to send PruMano pics to the other who was strictly a SpaMano shipper and so in retaliation they threatened to send FrUk tothe strictly UsUk shipper until I was like “stop fighting or else I’ll send uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Fra.......... Rus?”

And then the conversation went from a shipping war to us discussing FraRus and we realized it was actually REALLY HECKIN CUTE OKAY?

Nyo!France x Russia is one of our favorite versions. Like, you can’t tell me they wouldn’t make a fantastic anime villain couple.

Like, idk think En and Ali from Sailor Moon but with the personalities of Esmeraulde and uhhhhhhhhh Mercury.... yeah Mercury.... Idk where I’m going with this.

I plan on writing a fluffy oneshot for it later.
