Jeanne: Hey, Jaune?

Jaune: Yeah?

Jeanne: Do you think if I was in your place, that I could have been the, Rusted Knight?

Jaune: Hmmm... Maybe... I'm not really sure.

Jeanne: Why not?

Jaune: I never understood how I became the, Rusted Knight, I sorta just became the, Rusted Knight. I understand, Alyx gave me the moniker of, The Rusted Knight, but I did not understand how my armour began to rust as it did. I personally think due to the nature of the, Ever After; My mental state effecting me as it did so, and probably caused my armour to rust as it did.

Jeanne: Mental state?

Jaune: The conscious mind of an individual often warps the reality of the, Ever After around them. This can often lead one to being trapped in a situation that feels like you are being toyed with an eldritch horror that is messing with your mind simply because it was bored. Or, you'll be stuck in a tea party with a sentient slug who is a massive pot junkie.

Jeanne: Did that often happen?

Jaune: Often enough that I was able to 'dull' my mind enough so it wouldn't effect me as much as it first did. And, that I was able to see the signs of what was coming to avoid them, or choose which scenario I would rather deal with.

Jeanne: So less dealing with eldritch horrors then?

Jaune: Actually the eldritch horrors were easier to deal with.

Jeanne: Really?

Jaune: Yeah, they usually had some sort of gimmick to them, speak in opposites, talks in rhymes, stuff like that. Once you figure it out they were easier to deal with. I even became friends with some of them!

Jeanne: And, that was better then dealing with a slug pot junkie...?

Jaune: You've read the book where it comes into the story. Those drugs play havoc on the mind, and body.

Jeanne: Okay. So do you think I could have become the, Rusted Knight?

Jaune: ...

Jaune: I honestly believe if we swapped worlds, the Fall would never have happened with you in it.

Jeanne: You do?

Jaune: If you as you are now, Jeanne went to my universe, and took my place. You would have probably have killed, Cinder, and became the, Fall Maiden.

Jeanne: Seriously?!

Jaune: Cinder may have been more experienced then you, but in combat she is no where near as strategically minded as you are. She relied on brute force, and the mastery of her semblance to defeat her foes. You would have probably adopted a defensive stance, and waited for your semblance to super charge before activating your, Arc-Angel persona. I can't think of a single individual who can withstand your semblance as it is now when you let loose, let alone when you become the, Arc-Angel. Hell, you could have easily soloed that, Grimm Wyvern with it. People may have mistaken you for a, Maiden considering it's visual appearance.

Jeanne: But, what if I was the, Fall Maiden, and I used my semblance?

Jaune: ...

Jaune: You probably could have cut a path straight through the, Grimm Lands, right into, Salem's Castle, and captured her.

Jeanne: Sweet~!

Jeanne: But, seriously, would I have become the, Rusted Knight: Yes, or no?

Jaune: Well... If you becoming the, Rusted Knight that meant you saw the members of, Team RWBY fall into the abyss. Had to do preform a mercy killing of your friend to prevent the, Winter Maidens powers from transferring to, Cinder. Failed to escaped through a portal before you to fell into the, Ever After. Accidently touched some clock fruit thingy that sent you back in time. Was betrayed by the first human you saw in ages. Had to deal with a psychotic cat antics where it was trying to weaken your mental stability so it could take over your body. And, you became the over protective parent to a village of sentient origami paper because you had developed a savior complex because of all the people you failed to save. And, that you were doing all of this for... a long time because you knew that one day, some day you would be reunited with your friends, and you would finally manage to get out of the psychedelic nut house that was the, Ever After.

Jaune: Then yeah, sure... you could have become the, Rusted Knight.

Jeanne: Uhhhhh...?!

Jaune: What?

Jeanne: That's what fucking happened to you in the, Ever After?!

Jaune: I didn't tell you what happened? Could have swore I did.

Jeanne: I knew you were the, Rusted Knight. I didn't fucking know how it happened?! I would have remember you telling me if that's how it fucking happened?!

Jaune: Oh...

Jaune: Still want to be the, Rusted Paladin?

Jeanne: Paladin?

Jaune: I would assume that because you would have your more... developed staged armour, by the time you became, the Rusted Knight.

Jeanne: By developed stage, you no doubt mean me having armour plating that can hold my, F-Cups?

Jaune: Yes.

Jeanne: I see. Please continue.

Jaune: Having your developed stage armour, your helmet, and your semblance you would have been mistaken for some holy figure with rusted armour. Hence, the name: the Rusted Paladin.

Jeanne: The Rusted Paladin... Not bad... My helmet would have given me a crown of rust... I bet it would look pretty cool.

Jaune: I would have liked to have seen that. Mostly.

Jeanne: Mostly? I thought you liked my helmet.

Jaune: I do, it is...? It will look awesome! But, that stupid hole in the back of the top your helmet to let your hair out, that makes your helmet look like it has plumage is so stupid!

Jeanne: Hey, I have...! Or, will have so much hair, I have to put it somewhere, or else I can't see in it! It works, and it looked awesome!

Jaune: I know! That's why it annoys me so much!

Jeanne: You're just jealous of my style.

Jaune: And, you're just jealous that I became a famous character from a children's book!

British!Jaune: Something like that, except the rejection part, i was thinking that my bloody age is too old to start training, so i joined the military as part of the British S.A.S. And that’s where i met Captain Price.

I'm thinking about an Older Sister! Ruby in a RWBY AU. It basically pans out to Summer and Raven swapping their order, but not their actions (mostly).

Wouldn't Ruby have an interesting relationship with Raven? Of course, Raven would still leave, but she'd be leaving Yang and Ruby after being basically Ruby's only mother figure until the age of (approx.) 7 years old. Yang, 5yrs old, would remember a lot less.

She didn't die. She didn't go out on a mission and disappear. She just left. She's still out there, but she just didn't want to be here with them. Not to mention Tai collapsing into grief over it and Qrow not filling in the gaps well enough, and Ruby having to take care of Yang as a sister and a mother figure.

That'd probably mess Ruby up in an interestingly different way than canon Yang, but also very similarly. A very bitter, very masked Ruby Rose with a big complex.

Basically, I think the encapsulation of the vibe is that Ruby wants to call Raven "Mom!" the next time they meet, but also to scream at her to flock off. Raven calls her "Summer's daughter" to place a space between them, but it's ambiguous if she really wants to say, "my daughter."

Is just full on Shonen Protagonist now and thinks fighting is the fastest way to make friends. Flat is Justice. Dunno why, but an age swap au suddenly popped into my head.

Like, Oscar is Beacon’s headmaster, Jaune and Pyrrha are married professors employed under him. Ozpin, Glynda, Ironwood, and the other adults are now academy students.

Team RWBY’s situation would get too complicated to change though which is why I don’t think it would work.

It's definitely an original idea. I'm not sure how you'd work around RWBY either without it getting weird but it's still interesting.

Chae-Yeong is one of the main characters of my rwby age swap au (read it here!), which basically lets her be a little more unhinged than usual bcs she's not as mature and in her control of herself at 18 as she is in her 40s. She gets to be in a fight club and also go stop crimes to avoid addressing her trauma. And she gets to have a little bit of female bonding and a guy thinking she's the most incredible person in the world too <3

I know I got another ask open for Swapped AU, but hear me out in the meantime?

Jeanne is out answers (and blood) from Beacon faculty. Instead of there being a being a f!Ozpin, have Selma, the umpteenth reincarnation of Salem who's stuck in an ages old shadow war with the immortal Grimm King Ozma.

The rest is still genderbent. For example, Gideon Goodwizard might want to duck and cover when Jeanne rips through the elevator doors of Selma's tower office.

You're free to ignore this, but I had to put this out here for you to see.

I’m gonna stop you on some of these, Since Glynda is stated as Jeanne’s aunt, so yeah. I can use the other bits however.

An Innocent Prisoner

The door to Headmistresses, Selma’s door opens. And, Jeanne Arc enters.

Selma: Oh, Ms. Arc, your back.

Glynda: Jeanne! Jeanne are you okay, where were you?

Jeanne: I’m fine, Glynda. Headmistress, Selma, is it true, is it true that you threw, Jaune into a jail cell?

Selma: Jaune? Oh, that boy who took over your place; Yes we threw him into a jail cell.

Jeanne: W-Why?

Selma: Well, for starters it was to protect him.

Jeanne: Protect him, protect him from what?

Selma: Your fellow classmates.

Jeanne: My classmates?

Glynda: After, Team RWBY attacked him, other members of the student body tried, and did attack him. Locking him up in a cell was the safest option we had for him.

Selma: Not to mention we had several questions we needed to ask him: Who was he, why was he here, and how did he know the things he knew.

Jeanne: What things?

Selma: How did he know your teammates, or at least ‘knew’ them. How did he get here, where did you go. Questions such as those. We didn’t get many answers out of him since he himself didn’t know.

Jeanne: So to protect him, you locked him up.

Selma: Indeed we did.

Jeanne: Did you at least give him some cookies, a glass of water, anything?

Selma: Oobaleck was watching him, did she give him anything?

Glynda: Not to my knowledge.

Jeanne: Great… I get tea, and cookies, and he got thrown in a jail cell… His life is terrible…

Selma: I see, you went to his world, while he came to yours. What was it like there?

Jeanne: Well, Team RWBY was a bunch of girls, so was Pyrros, and, Rin was a boy. They seemed pretty nice. I even met you, Glynda, you, and Nora were still both girls. So only a few people changed genders. But, you Headmistresses, you were a completely different person.

Selma: I was a, Headmaster Ozpin, wasn’t I?

Jeanne: Yeah, you were. That admittedly was the weirdest thing about all of… this.

Selma: Do you have any idea how any of this happened?

Jeanne: No, I don’t know how this all happened, just that it did. Jaune didn’t have any idea how it happened either.

Glynda: You met, Jaune?

Jeanne: Yeah, I did. He was a really nice guy… I wish everyone wasn’t so mean to him. He didn’t deserve any of this.

Glynda: Where did you meet him?

Jeanne: It was in this white room. There was nothing but a couple of white blocks, and we just sat there, exchanged pleasantries, and made me really, really angry.

Glynda: What did he do to upset you?

Jeanne: He didn’t do anything to upset me, you guys did! You attacked him on the spot, interrogated him, and threw him in a jail cell, all because he wasn’t me! Why would you guys do that to him!

Glynda: We didn’t decided to do that, Jeanne. We had no idea, Jaune was here until, Port, informed us she threw an intruder in a jail cell. By the time we got there, Jaune was bruised, and battered.

Jeanne: He was what?! When I saw him he was completely fine!

Selma: He has an impressive amount of, Aura. He lacks training in how to use it, but it did help him overall.

Jeanne: That makes sense… He wasn’t properly trained, so he doesn’t know nearly as much as I do when it comes to being a, Hunter.

Glynda: How did he get in then?

Jeanne: Fake transcripts. Why, because we both have the same dream; Become a Hunter the become the hero who saves the day… I got training, he was ignored. I got in properly, he fake his way in. I am loved by all, he is hated by all. Haa… I wish I never met him though…

Glynda: Why is that?

Jeanne: Because I learned how horrible my friends could be, and how easily they became like that. And, that hurts me in so many way that I…I thought you were all better than this… Now… Now I just don’t know anymore…

Selma: Is there anything we could do for you, Ms. Arc?

Jeanne: Did you do anything for him?

Selma: …

Jeanne: Yeah, I thought so…

Chae-Yeong a milf that has a background in ballet and can kick your ass. She’s also the ethical mythical billionaire, still being rich despite the fact that she is constantly giving money away and trying to make life easier for everyone. She’s very focused on justice and rehabilitation for others, and even though most people see her as being pretty airheaded, she’s very well regarded by others and known for her kindness. She also is a little bit traumatized and mentally ill and decided to become a vigilante called the Scarlet Shepherd about it. And she has fangs. Basically she’s queer autistic milf Batman      

Chae-Yeong is a 6 foot 4 woman in her mid forties with a square jaw and some visible muscle on her arms and legs. She has pretty light skin and while she’s a quarter Korean, she looks completely white. She has thin red eyes, thick eyebrows, and she has some crows feet around her eyes. She usually wears a dark wig with white streaks framing her face, and her real hair is about the same color but with more gray streaks and styled mostly short. She has snake fangs that are retractable and her left arm from the elbow down and left leg from the mid thigh are prosthetics, though she usually hides that. She dresses in a dark red button up tucked into her pants to show her bra and big boobs and wears a white coat with space patterned trim over that. She has on heeled boots designed to resemble ballet slippers in reference to her past as a ballerina, and she wears some gray gloves
