concept jaune as the head of the minute men (based on the fallout 4 version of them lol) they're not an actual army, all jaune does is travel around from village to village trying to help. the ideal is that every man in his militias is ready to defend against the threats of remnant at a moment's notice. he doesn't ask for money, or shelter, or anything in return. he just shows up ready to help. some villages decide to help other's in turn. so now you got a tone of independent villages all coming together for the common defense.

this is a problem because vale is worried they're gonna follow jaune and become a rival power in their own back yard.

if you were doing a story for this concept, how would you do it? how would you write jaune and how would his genuine altruism affect the plot as it was before? i could see cinder trying to spark a war instead of just attacking amenity

Jaune awoke once more. He didn't hear gunshots or screaming. Another night spent in peace. Good.

He rolled out of his cot, swinging his legs over and yawned. He looked to the time. Four-thirty-six. He shook his head. He was getting lazy.

"Time to make the kingdoms safer." He said, rising to the routine of his repeated mantra. There was work to be done.

Ruby awoke from her nap to the sound of shouting. Looking around, reaching for her rifle, she found the source marching in the distance. It looked like the army was on it's eternal patrol.

She never spoke to any of them, and her uncle referred to the group as, 'a bunch of kids and old people who hang onto old world nonsense.' To avoid relying on a bias, she gathered her equipment and continued another day out in the Remnant wastelands.

"All we know~!" The man in the lead called.

"All we know~!" The marching troops replied.

"Is to go~!"

"Is to go~!"

"Where do we go~?"

"Where do we go~?"

"Nobody knows~!"

"Nobody knows~!"

Ruby followed from a distance as she listened to the cadence. She didn't understand why, but the synchronized chanting gave a very powerful feeling. Something bigger than herself and everything else. Was this what everyone thought as they marched through the wasteland?

At the head of the marching, three prominent figures led these men and women. The first was a man in a black helmet with white stars painted all over it. Opposite of him was a woman with dark sunglasses and a beret. Standing tall between them, leading the cadences was a young man with blond hair and a bent cowboy hat. He didn't look much older than Ruby, or younger than the others in the command, but he held an air of authority about him.

A loud hum caught her attention. Looking further down the road, she saw an old world vehicle barreling down at high speed. Dust flew around it, though the driver inside didn't seem to car.

"Company, halt!" The leading man called, and they responded by stopping in place. The car was didn't slow.

"Company, split!" Following as ordered, the group split down the center, standing on either side of the road. The driver continued, and Ruby could hear the cacklinv inside.

"Ready!" Rifles raised to their shoulders. "Aim!" Clacks of guns being racked echoed in unison. The blond man stood firm as the car continued. "Fi-!"

The car swerved and rolled off the road, never reaching the man or his company. Ruby breathed a sigh of relief and shouldered her rifle. She was about to make her way down when she heard him shout again.

"LOWER YOUR WEAPON TO THE GROUND NOW!" He sounded much angrier this time. Ruby froze in place as she saw all their guns trained on her. To avoid becoming cheese, she held up her hands. "ON BEHALF OF THE REMNANT MINUTEMEN, I ORDER YOU TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF!"

With a gulp, Ruby called back. "My name is Ruby Rose!" She blinked. "Uh, sir!"

"WHO DO YOU REPRESENT?" The voice was just as loud, but less hostile.

"Uh, I represent myself! ...Sir!"

"RUB-!" He hacked and coughed, before clearing his throat. "Ruby Rose, present yourself within no greater than arm's length to me!"

"What?" Ruby called back, unsure of what he meant.

"Get down here so we can talk!" He rubbed his throat.

"Oh... Okay! ...Sir!" Ruby shouldered her rifle and ran down from her elevated perch to the man. The guns didn't lower for a moment as she came closer. As she came closer, he threw out a flat palm. She stopped a few yards from him.

"Agh..." He croaked. "Thank you. Do you know how hard it is to shout after singing cadence since dawn?"

"Uh..."

"At ease!" He called and everyone lowered their weapons. "That was a hell of a shot, Miss Ruby Rose. What's a crackshot like you doing wandering the wastes?"

"I'm looking for my mother. She disappeared when I was young, so I need to find out where she went."

"That's brave of you, travelling the wastes alone. We could use bravery like that."

"Thanks, but I work better alone."

"Suit yourself." He grinned. "But if you ever need help, the Minutemen are only a minute away." His attention turned to his company. "Minutemen, investigate!"

"Where are you going?" She asked as the company dispersed, more than a dozen moving to the wrecked vehicle she brought to a destructive end.

"To wherever we're needed." He replied. "Wherever there's a bandit siege or a scorpion infestation or a deathclaw, the Minutemen will be there in a minute."

"There's a lot of minutes." She said very incredulously. "I think you need a new slogan."

"Well," he chuckled, "we'll be there in an hour doesn't sound as good, does it?"

She giggled. "No, I guess not." She pulled up her Pipboy. "The next town is Xion. There might be some supplies there." She looked up to him. "I'll see when I get there?"

"I'll see you in an hour." He smirked.

"Well, I'll be counting the minutes!" She jogged forward, leaving... "Hey, I never got your name!"

"It's Arc!" He called out. "General Arc!"

"I'll see you later, General Arc!" And with that, Ruby ran off to Xion, leaving behind the new, interesting friend she made.

Penny Polendina flinched at the harsh emphasis of machine from the leader of Atlas Brotherhood of Steel who was looking at her with cold blue eyes full of disdain and disgust toward her.

“G-General Ironwood wants me t-to give you the latest report on the latest in and activities of the Super Mutants and the White Fangs in the northwest region of Solitas.” The humanoid female robot said to the large and broad-shouldered man.

“Hnn.” He grunted as he took the report from the machine with arctic coldness as he look at the report in the data pad speed-reading the data sheet. “He’s a man of his words than most of the Atlas military personnel.”

“What do you mean—”Penny mouthed was snapped immediately when Arthur looked at her with a hard, deep glare in his cold blue eyes.

“None of your concern.” He said in a sharp voice. “If you got nothing else to say. Get out.” He ordered as he turned his back on Penny already dismissing her from sight and mind.

Penny meekly nodded as she walked away from the imposing man feeling hurt by the bigotry from the man.

antisemitism in the rwby fndm, or hey aisling why are you still beating this dead ass horse, by fallout boy.

mostly because it’s nearly 6am, less than a week away from tisha b’av  —  one of our fasting holidays that is specifically about our suffering, feel free to read about it here!  —  & the antisemitism from the last couple of days has really just left me exhausted personally. i’m not going to speak for other jewish people in the fandom but i do just wanna highlight how normalized antisemitism has really become in the rwby, & by large, rooster teeth fandom.

we’ve already been over how the goyishe  (read : non jewish)  writers in camp camp, miles & kerry, were incredibly antisemitic in their mockery of the shoah & jewish suffering overall in the show camp camp. that was dissected on a deep dive here which was written months ago in regards to rooster teeth & the antisemitism in their actions / writing. the show was not written with mocking hitler in it’s aim, but to mock the various ways of jewish suffering & ways jews survived the shoah & violent persecution / genocide by the nazi regime.

we have also been over coco adel being inspired by the nazi coco chanel is incredibly uncomfortable because the revelation of her nazi ideology was already exposed by time of her creation. not to mention coco chanel cannot be divorced into “fashion designer” & “nazi” because she was a famed antisemite nonetheless & gained that fashion empire via the means of stealing it from a jewish man. taking inspiration from coco adel in any way is by means of congratulating or drawing favour to that antisemitic legacy, there is no way around that. this character should’ve never been made & at the very least, should’ve been killed off in the fall of beacon to avoid further antisemitism; but now they cannot get rid of her without byg & i frankly have no sympathy.

but that’s rooster teeth, right? what about the fandom?

well, we’ve had a ww2 au where-in a jewish cinder works for salem, a nazi. emerald, mercury & neopolitan also worked for nazi salem; despite the fact that historically if this were truly accurate, she would have them all thrown into camps for the “genetic stains” they were as a woc & disabled people respectively. this doesn’t even get into the painful history of the sonderkommando, actual jewish people forced to work for the nazis, in order to burn our own deceased.

there’s also been “putting people in camps” ‘jokes’, because yay. those are always fun.

we’ve also had multiple goyim speaking over jewish people in the fandom, speaking over us in the facts that there is rife antisemitism in rooster teeth as a company & that it has clearly seeped into the fandom. those same people have spoken over us in specific characters we headcanon as jewish, specifically because of the axis of oppression those characters face & how well it lends to the jewish experience. even if they didn’t like it, it was never their place as a non jew to “hold us accountable” for those headcanons.

we have now also had a “satirical” site make light of the nazi regime, especially the ss soldiers, in order to further attack fans of a fictional character they dislike. never mind that the self identified white writer miles luna completely misused the term of genocide when talking about this character, james ironwood, but that it has then been spread amongst the fandom & clearly endorsed by miles.

there were, of course, multiple responses to the outrage from jewish people & ironwood fans alike. “it’s just a joke!” “it’s satire” “whatever you’re so sensitive.”

let me be clear, goyim do not get an opinion on if a “satire” of anything surrounding the shoah was appropriate or not. the only people who can reclaim jokes around this tragedy are jewish & romani people as the two sections of society singled out for genocide & outright extermination. 

this “satire” was wholly inappropriate. the two situations are incomparable & the trauma / tragedy surrounding the nazi regime & the terror imposed by the ss command specifically is not to be trivialized over a fake anime written by shitty ass antisemites. especially by fans of a ship where one half of it is voice acted by a jewish woman. this was wholly inappropriate & disgusting.

antisemitism is called the oldest hatred in the world for a reason; it is baked into every facet of every society & needs to be challenged at every turn. yes, even in the “jokes” you think aren’t that serious. even when it’s “not that serious.” because in the period of the pandemic, antisemitic hate crimes have reached heights they had not since ww2. that is fucking frightening. & in a fandom space so supposedly “safe for jewish people” as per one of rooster teeth’s employees, the actual seriousness of antisemitism is derided at every turn & jewish people are spoken over by goyim. it’s disgusting & it needs to change.

angsiest fics as a whole is probably I Beg to Differ or Carry On, but my only one with an actual angsty ending is This Time which is a drabble about the Fifth doctor in the Caves of Androzani

I feel like I'm pretty good at characterization and voice. I've also gotten a lot better at description and image recently

action scenes can and will kill me. also I don't know why I write romance so much seeing as I have literally never dated anyone. Also I tend to struggle with longer projects, although I'm much better at it than I used to be.

Its fine but I prefer to be familiar with the language before writing it. And seeing as other than English I only know Latin, ancient greek, and ASL it doesn't come up often when writing fic

Anyone who uses Undertale as the base measurement for "bad fandom" I swear has never experienced what an actually bad fandom is like. I have made an icerberg picture to sort of explain what I mean.

Undertale was kind of a victim of a really bad game of internet telephone. Where it was "Some people are being weird -> The community is weird -> The community is a cesspool of toxicity" which was just really strange given the fact that Undertale was mainly just an assortment of AUs with a few very entitled people in it. People's personal issues just got made public and since they were involved with the fandom that suddenly meant the whole fandom was like that. FNAF similarly had it's rotten people in it and like- one AU is all it got popular for in terms of its bad rep. Then we move down a level to more "ship war" type of places. RWBY and MHA are NOTORIOUS for their ship wars. You can breathe in the direction of someone who ships something like Bakugo x Deku and all of the sudden your twitter account is gone because of mass reporting. Some of you may not remeber Google+ but oh man. The RWBY fandom there? It was something. If you didn't ship Bumblebee get ready for a world of hate. I personally never shipped it and oh boy if I voiced that it was war in my notifications. I thought the relationship felt out of place.

Moving to Overwatch and Soulsborne, it's a lot of pretentiousness. Not necesarrily horrible but a lot of pretentiousness. Overwatch is also full of a lot of sexism and racism in its communities on top of the pretentiiousness. No one can agree on anything when it comes to balancing heroes. If you're a woman in high elo you're boosted, if you're in low elo then you're just a wannabe e-girl. Soulsborne suffers from people conflating "accesibility features" with "Easy mode" which tends to drive people away from the games. Moving down another level, you have Anime Power Scalers and Warhammer. Power scalers are kind of the bane of the existence of any community. They suck the fun out of a lot of things and tend to spread their way into other communities. Everyone knows of the "who would win Goku or Superman" and the fights that break out over it get oddly extreme sometimes? Warhammer (and this is coming from my friend who is in the fandom who helped me make this) tends to be very stuck up about figurines. And a lot of it is complaining about not having figurines. Also from what I've seen from one of my other Warhammer mutuals is the lack of self awareness about the subject matter and bigotry is often ignored in the community. Lastly we have the "your home address, work place, and family photos are now on the internet" type of fandoms (idol includes corporate vtubers, and kpop and jpop fans). If you disagree with ANYONE or criticize anything, get ready to lock all of your social media. Not only do they suffer from general bigotry but also the fact that any sort of differing opinion will get you harassed. DC's is anything about Synder. Marvel is anything about literally any woman character. I have seen the nuclear fallout of the aftermath of kpop fans or vtuber fans doxxing people for breathing near their fave. We're talking locked accounts and everything.

the Tarantulas in this drawing, is the version from Transformers: EarthSpark.

the Spinel in this, is what she looks like in her third form in the Spinelluva Boss AU. and at first I was going to have Robo-Fizz being the one who is resting his head on her lap, but then I decided to put Fat-Nuggets there instead, who is bringing a smile on Spinel’s face, but originally she wasn’t going to smile.

I might have this as a cover for one of the future chapters over at Quotev...

Cozy Glow is crying, and she has a picture of herself, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, the picture of them has her tears on it.

for all we know, part of the reason Cozy Glow did what she did, might have had to do with those three, and we know their human counterparts had crossed a line when it came to Sunset and their sisters...

the Sonic in this drawing is suppose to be the one from Sonic Prime, and next to him is the Red Prism Shard, it being a part of The Paradox Prism.

I started on this drawing on May 17, 2023 and finished it on May 20, 2023.

Foxy is suppose to be comforting Blitzo, we can think of the hook as not being the same one that he normally has, and being made out of plastic.

the reason why Lancer is wearing a crown, is because he is the new ruler of the Card Kingdom, and I do have a theory that he and the real Ralsei are stuck in the Card Kingdom, while a fake version of Ralsei appears back in Castle Town in Chapter 2, and Faux-Ralsei traps the Real Ralsei and Lancer in Card Kingdom, by locking that Delta Rune Door, as well as it’s counterpart in the Light World that happens to be the closet in the unused classroom.

the Lancers that are in Castle Town, I think those are Lancer’s brothers.

the King named all of his sons Lancer, and forgets that he has Quadruplet sons who he all named Lancer, and one of them is still back at Card Kingdom with the Real Ralsei.

if Chara ever fell into the dark world after the events of Chapter 1, they could end up in Card Kingdom and end up befriending (mostly against their will...but ends up willing to be later on...) both Lancer and Ralsei.

unlike the Chara the Player sees during a Geno Route, this version of Chara has their eyes covered by their bangs much like Kris.

maybe the Chara in this drawing, could be a introvert and doesn’t like talking about their brother, the original Prince Asriel. 

anyway, Spinelluva Boss is suppose to be a Crossover of Steven Universe and Helluva Boss, but it can still have other crossover elements in it, but not all of them will be in a major role.

I've actually already gotten a start on the Mafia one and it's the one I have the most planned out already (ask me about it it's getting hard keeping quiet the shit is wild), but other ideas for WIPs keep popping up and bothering me and I would just ignore them and read something with a similar idea, but the problem is that the ideas are super specific and only a fic with all X, Y, and Z will scratch the itch.

I don't know what I'm doing with the Fallout AU tbh. I think it's going to be Yang-centric because that's who I have the most ideas for what I want to do with, but everyone else is a mystery. Besides a few scenes, I don't really have much of a plot with this one yet, but I don't want to give up on it because it sounds fun.

The Twisted Metal AU - On the otherhand I'm having a blast coming up with ideas for it. I have a solid idea on who would drive what and what their motivations would be and what they'd want. My only concern is that it might be a little too niche, even though Twisted Metal does the whole "It's also a gun" thing too, but with the cars instead of handheld weapons, and people just wouldn't be interested I'm afraid.

The Royalty/Assassin - I've started on and scrapped this one half a dozen times. I have so many ideas, but I might need more planning and sorting before I can commit to it. I think I know what I want the end game to be, but not sure how to get it to come out right.

Supernatural Creatures AU - This is the remnant (Ha, get it?) of an old fic in which Jaune is learning how to hunt supernatural monsters. I wrote this years ago, but never published or even finished. I didn't like how it came out and scrapped it, but I want to salvage some of the ideas from it and give it another go. I was in a bad place when I initially wrote it and life has changed a lot since then. It's going to end up a lot different this time and that's a good thing since the original was no where near my best.
