things do not need to be perfect to be good. You cannot teach someone intersectionality if that person has not heard of bare minimum feminism. You might be on step 100 but just because you started earlier does not mean that everyone can jump to your level. They have to climb the stairs too. And the people at the top yelling down to the people at the bottom that being at the bottom is bad, they need to be at the top, IT DOES NOT ENCOURAGE THEM TO CLIMB UP.

It is almost heartbreaking the way the toxic buddie stans are completely disregarding how 911 is trying to engage with discourse surrounding homophobia & LGBTQIA+ hate in workplaces in the show, and are crucifying one of the queer characters who is explicitly gay, just because their faves aren't a couple.

Like, this 👆 scene was devastating as much as it was badass because of Chimney. Tommy didn't fight back, and instead shifted his stance a little. He looks visibly uncomfortable and hurt but doesn't respond, alluding to the fact that he doesn't want to cause a scene, and/or doesn't feel empowered enough to stand up for himself and his boyfriend.

The scene could've been such a catalyst for deeper discussions about queer representation in service jobs like firefighting. It could've even led to discourse about intersectionality and how Hen faced her own struggles in the LAFD because in addition to being queer, she is black and a woman.

But no.

Instead, y'all are raving on and on about how Tommy is ugly, Lou is d*sgusting, how the cast and Oliver hate him and his character & how Buck and Eddie should be together and anything other than buddie = queerbaiting.

If you only want Buck to be bisexual with Eddie, then you NEVER cared about bisexual/queer representation in the first place.

Starting to get an idea why Oliver seems to always smile and talk fondly about shooting the Buck and Tommy scenes.

From what I have seen of Lou he really likes to talk about character and what to do In a scene (maybe too much lol) and they can plan things out.

Shooting the kitchen scene and Ryan and the director plan the shove but keep Oliver in the dark? Oliver says he trusts them, but still, I know which person I’d rather shoot more scenes with.

what's important here isn't if eddie was actually going to punch buck or not, is that ryan was playing the scene intentionally violent. what matters here is the violent undertones in the scene are there and were 100% intentional from both the director and ryan guzman.

i hope buck, eddie and shannon are haunting helena through chris rn. i hope when chris rolls his eyes and snarks back helena freezes reminding her damn well who his father is. i hope when chris bites the inside of cheek and is suddenly really interested in his hands when he’s nervous about something helena scrunches her eyebrows in confusion bc she swears she’s seen it before and her eyes widen as she recalls eddie’s friend, the same friend who was there when they picked up chris, having the same mannerisms when eddie and his team came to texas. i hope when chris asks for the ice cream from the store 45 minutes from their house near the park and he picks rocky road helena swallows roughly bc shannon would do the same when she missed eddie and/or was sad. i hope she’s violently reminded no matter how much she pretends, that child will never be hers in the way she’s so desperately been trying to make it be for years. i hope she’s reminded of her damn place in chris’ life.

I... I have a lot to say about this video... but..

1. Both "fight" scenes were meant to be viewed as such... shocking 🙃

2. Ryan played the newest one "bland" (🤭🤭) and was told from the director that Eddie wants to hit Buck.

3. What tf do you mean that Eddie needs to go off on his own in season 9 and do his own thing now that Christopher is 14/15??!! "He's a grown kid."

Oh, Ryan... please send me a copy of your contract because I know it's an interesting fucking read, my guy.
