October 13th, 1989

Steve sighs, leaning back on the drivers side of his 1983 BMW. Burgundy paint starting to chip on the hood, the car becoming less appealing day by day. Girls passing by not even looking in his direction anymore. He was old news in Hawkins after people found out he had finally started at a college half an hour away in Fort Wayne. Just starting his life like everyone else did 4 years ago just wasn't appealing to most girls.

At least not Hawkins girls.

But at this point he didn't care. He was proud of himself for pulling his life together after all the bullshit he had been put through. With saving an entire town too many god damn times. Cutting his dad off when his parents divorced. Moving out to get a rented house with his best friend Robin. Just what he learned he needed over time.

Getting into a good school by himself with no help was just a cherry on top of the fuck you sundae he graciously served his past problems.

He was satisfied with what he had right now.

Dustin walks out of the new game shop in the newest strip mall to grace Hawkins. Steve looks up, pushing his Ray-Ban sunglasses onto his head.

"You made it out before, Robin. I'm surprised." Dustin glanced at the instrument shop a few doors down, then back to Steve. "You get what Eddie needed?"

"Mostly yeah. She's still getting her trumpet fixed?" Steve shrugs at Dustin's question and slides his sunglasses down in place again.

"She probably got distracted looking at something shiny and new. You know Robins crow brain sometimes." Dustin laughs, looking into his bag, shuffling a few things around inside.

Steve looked over at the liquor store at the end of the strip mall. Looking back at Dustin, he taps the top of the car. His head snapped up, eyes a bit surprised at the sudden noise.

"You want anything?" Steve asks, tilting his head back towards the store.

"Coke? If they got it." Dustin simply replied before getting in the back seat. Steve nods and walks to the liquor store.

The bell chimes over his head as he walks through the door. He takes in the warmth of the store and the radio playing over the speakers on the ceiling. Such a nice contrast to the crisp Autumn air outside.

He turns heading down an isle of assorted liquor bottles and bar accessories before finally stopping at the fridge. Humming along to the song over the radio, mumbling the lyrics to 'I wanna know what love is' absentmindedly.

Sliding his glasses down his nose, he squints at the selection. All the labels are blurry the farther he is, he steps forward rubbing his eyes and sure doesn't help with the florescent lighting blinding him from above.

God I need to get my eyes checked.

Opening the fridge, he grabs the 3 soft drinks and a 6-pack for later when he hears a metal scrapping and whoosh next to him. Followed by a muffled but panicked "Shit!"

Looking over, he sees the back of a squatting woman struggling with a metal shelf slipping out of one of the fridges.

Walking over, he quickly puts his things down and pushes the shelf back in. The metal shelf, cold against his warm skin as he reaches into the fridge, fixing the fasteners back into place.

An issue he's all too familiar with working at Family Video. The fridge racks always got loose and every time it happened he was always made to clean them up. He could only imagine the mess a bunch of glasses and beer would have made.

"Thank you so much!" The woman speaks as Steve stands up, slowly closing the door. Looking back, he finally sees your face. His lips slightly part as you continue talking, he can't hear a word you're saying right now.

All he can hear is the very oddly convenient Foreigner song playing over the store radio as he takes in every detail of your gorgeous face. From your shiny hair to your bright smile. The vibrant colored nail polish on your fingers you're waving as you talk. You're unfamiliar, he's never seen you before, but you're an absolute stunner of a woman.

Steve never thought of himself as a love at first sight kind of guy. But right now he was undoubtedly being proven wrong by the spark he was feeling, not to mention the nervous knot in his stomach.

"But really you're a life saver... Thank you." You stop talking, looking at him. Your face falls as he perks up, realizing he's just been staring like a complete idiot this entire time.

"You're welcome!" He spoke, choking almost over how inappropriately loud he was for a second. Feeling the effect of not talking to women for a while really hit him. You look down at his soon-to-be purchases.

"Full Sail Amber. Good beer." You comment, making him look at the floor and nod.

Crouching down, he grabs his things and stands cracking his head on one of the fridge door handles. His sunglasses fell off his face and onto the floor. He stands up wedging his soft drink between his side and arm. Rubbing his head with a hiss.

"You okay?" You ask with a slight chuckle. Bending down, you grab the sunglasses, Steve moves his hand, grabbing the bottom of the door handle to shield your head from injury.

"Yeah, thanks." Before he gets to put his hand out to take his Ray-Bans back, you slide them on his head with a soft smile.

God she's so fucking pretty.

"You're welcome. And thanks again for... Saving me from paying for a full shelf of beer." She turned down the isle to another part of the store.

Part of Steve wants to follow you and try chatting you up, but the slight embarrassment of hurting his head just keeps him from doing so.

He turns, goes to the front of the store and makes his purchases. Heading outside, he walks to his car, finally seeing Robin in her usual spot, the passenger seat. Opening the driver's door, he slips in.

"There you are!" Robin looked at him, her trumpet case in-between her legs on the floor of the car.

"What's with the face?" Dustin asks, Steve looking at him in the rearview, glaring.

"Shut up Henderson." He hands them their sodas, moving to close his car door when he hears the bell from the liquor store chime.

Out you walk, starting across the parking lot to a top-down red 86' Volkswagen Cabriolet. Steve freezes, staring again. He really can't help but stare.

"Oooh." Robin and Dustin both taunt him, making him sigh. He needs more friends, fewer annoying friends.

"She's pretty." Robin says looking at Dustin.

"Too pretty to talk to, apparently." Dustin adds, laughing as he looks back at Steve.

"I talked to her in the store." Dustin raised his eyebrows, pushing his baseball cap up a bit.

"You asked her out?"

"No." Steve watches you load your bag into the back seat and start pulling the top up on your car.

"Not too late!" Robin smiled, taking a sip of her drink. Dustin looked at her.

"He's not gonna do it."

"No, he's gonna do it."

Steve feels like he has a devil and an angel bickering on his shoulders right now. His foot meets the new asphalt of the parking lot as you open your driver's door.

He's quickly out of the driver's seat.

"Holy shit he's doing it." Dustin comments as he shuts the door on them.

He stops at the bumper of his car, hearing your car engine click over. Music pours out of your open windows before you turn it down quickly.

The universe is screaming at him to talk to you when he starts hearing that familiar Tears for Fears song, 'Head Over Heels'.

Please don't pull away, please don't pull away.

He nearly sprints across the parking lot out of fear of missing his chance. Upon reaching the car, he knocks on the back window, pulling you from looking for something in the console.

"Hi..." He says awkwardly, approaching the window. Leaning on the door, he smiles as you smile back.

"Hi. You need something?" He gets so agitated that you smirk up at him.

'Why'd you have to be so God damn pretty?'

"Sorry if this is weird, but I had to talk to you." He started, finally being able to say something. Your eyes go half shut with a soft nod.

"Talk to me?" He nods, clenching the door frame for a second. "Go ahead then. Talk."

His eyes go wide in surprise at your sudden confidence. Steve stammered for a second.

"Uh... At the risk of sounding crazy or desperate... You're probably the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life." You can feel your body warm up as he gives the most genuine smile you've seen on a man in a while.

"Mmhm, go on."

"Are you by chance single? Or like... Are you even attracted to men at all?" He asks, sheepishly smiling.

"Yes, and yes." Your smirk slowly turns into a grin as he squats to eye level now, feeling a bit more confident after your answer.

"I'm Steve, by the way. Steve Harrington." He smiles again hearing you reply with your name. "Are you new to Hawkins?"

"I am actually. I just moved here from the city and needed to stay nearby for school."

"Where are you going?"

"Trine University." His eyes go wide, the same school he goes to. What are the odds?

"Really? I actually go there too. Education major." You look him up and down. You never pegged him for the teacher type.

"Software Engineering major."

"So you're smart and gorgeous. Good to know." He smirks, finally feeling like himself when talking as your flush finally becomes noticeable. "You like movies?"

"What kind of psychopath doesn't like movies?" He laughs at your response, leaning in closer to the window.

"Lemme be more specific. The new Halloween 5 movie came out today. You interested in seeing it? Maybe with me tonight at the drive-in theater in Lafayette. We can have dinner after. All my treat, of course." He can see the sparkle in your eyes, that spark he felt looking at you before is still lingering around him.

"What's in it for me?" You playfully ask. He cocks his head to the side, leaning it on his arm for a second.

"A fun night out with a gentleman, I promise I'm fun." You chuckle, rolling your eyes, he knows you want to say yes. "Please?"

He'd never said please before when asking a girl out. It didn't feel embarrassing like he thought it would. You turn your attention back to the console looking for something.

Pulling out a napkin and pen, you quickly write down your number and address. Turning back, you hold it out to him as he takes it.

"I'm free at 8. And dress nicely. You're taking me somewhere decent after the movie."

"I'll take you to the most expensive restaurant I can find if that's what you want. I don't care. As long as I get to see you again." You laugh at his bluntness, it's like music to his ears.

"That won't be necessary. I don't need to be spoiled."

"What if I want to spoil you?" That caught you off guard as you didn't respond right away. He let a soft breath escape his mouth. "You like roses?"

"White roses." You reply, he nods, standing up again and folding the napkin, storing it in his back jean pocket for safe keeping.

"I'll be sure to remember that." You two just stare at each other in silence for a minute. No man's ever looked at you like Steve has right now, it makes your heart race from nervousness.

"I'll see you at 8 o'clock then." You look past him for a moment and back to him. "Tell your friends I said hello since they like to stare so much."

Raising an eyebrow, Steve turned his head. He sees Robin poking her head over the roof of the car and Dustin sitting on the rolled down window frame. They quickly hurry back into the car, noticing they've been caught. He should be embarrassed, but he fully expects their behavior from being friends for so long.

"Ignore them." Steve says, sighing as he looks back at you. "I'll see you at 8."

He turned away towards his car, trying to stay as confident as he was before turning his back. Reaching his car, he pops the door open, clutching it for dear life as he silently collects himself. Robin poked her head across the driver's seat to look up at him.

"You good dude?" She asks, concerned but also excited as he just nods.

You pull out of your parking spot, stopping behind his car and honk once to get his attention. Dustin pops his head out the back window as Robin looks out her open door. Steves head snaps up at you as you lean on your window frame, chin on fist with the most shit eating grin on your face.

"See you at 8 sexy~" You called to him. And then you have the balls to blow him a kiss before peeling out of the parking lot.

Steve silently gets in the car. Robin shuts her door as Steve does his. Dustin sits forward looking at Steve, who's just gripping his steering wheel, the adrenaline starting to wear off.

"Dude, she's so into you, into you!" Dustin breaks the silence as Robin nods.

"And I'd say it's the same for Harrington here." Robin grins as a massive smile spreads across Steve's face.

He starts excitedly thrashing frontwards and backwards. Enough to shake the car and look like he's about to rip the steering wheel from it's column. He lets out an excited yell, causing his two friends to laugh at him.

He let out a long breath, looking at them.

"She says hi by the way."

My speculation over the teaser!! Part One!

So let's start from the end lmao

El is in the Upside Down fighting something/someone and I'm deeply confused on if these are pants or a shirt, I think I was right and these are pants tho lol

anyway I think this will be around ep. 2 or 3 and the talk on the roof happens before this maybe ? unless it's some kind of vision

Vecna approaching, it could be the same scene, but I'm not sure because Vecna looks like he's inside a place not outside (?) could be wrong

Castle Byers is in ep. 1 I think this may be a nightmare/ vision Will has, idk it's giving nightmare, also @grandmags thinks this may be Will in his costume of the s4 finale

but this could be a different scene of Castle Byers irl (?)

Dustin going to Eddie's grave ep. 1, I think he gets attacked by the bullies here, I think Chance is present too or at least I think it's him

Ep. 1 at school 1987, Dustin gets attacked by the bullies before classes start, probably by Andy the one with the hat, and they destroy his shirt, he goes to Eddie's grave after school and gets attacked there too ?

Mike and Will go to the radio station and accompany Holly for a piece of the road, Lucas probably goes to Max at the hospital

these are all from the same sequences at least timewise

I think they are running to Dustin when he's being attacked, maybe before lunch?

I'm not sure about this moment because Lucas is dressed differently but Dustin has the shirt ripped... I think here they are the actors running lines more than anything also bc Gaten has his glasses on lol but this could be a moment where before going away from school they talk in the woods, because of the other screenshots where Will is having a vision - this may be before they divide and go to other places in ep. 1

this is the actual scene, Will is having a vision of some kind, parallel to s2 and to chrissy's vision probably? I'd say ep. 1

I think this may be ep. 2 (?) it's after they go to school because Dustin has the shirt ripped ( I think this happens at school bc we have a pic of him with the shirt ripped there, they get bullied) and they see each other at the radio station, something must have happened, I think Robin is the one near Nancy, and Nancy is dressed as the candy striper so maybe she's working at the hospital to help (?) or she needed to go there for some reason... Dustin looks like someone beat him up so I think the bullies at the cemetery beat him up and then after that he goes to the radio station

This is Lucas that for some reason is inside the Mansion of that family, it looks like the interior, and we had another pic from paps where you can kinda see him inside, maybe ep.3

from how Jonathan is dressed I think he's either not doing anything / working at the radio station or he's attending art classes in a college? he's dressed weirdly idk like a art college student trying to be cool... I think Jancy may be broken up at this point?

Holly, I think she just came home from school, and she's watching a monster attack Karen ? She seems wet too idk why... anyway this is ep. 1 or 2 probably

Holly is having visions / dreams or the lights flicker because a demogorgon has arrived ? maybe this is before she goes to see what's happening and Karen gets attacked, also like... Holly biggest queer ally lmaoooo everything is rainbow room themed... ep. 1 probably

not sure about what this is about, maybe El visiting Max at the hospital in a vision? I'm not sure of where she is, but she looks sad, maybe this is what she's looking at in her mind in the roof with the bandana before Mike arrives to talk in ep. 1/2 ?

I think Joyce and Robin are trying to figure out how to make the radio or the lights in the radio station work? probably ep. 1 or 2 - not sure of when this is temporally speaking in the timeline, maybe they have a blackout and go to check?

Steve in the UD, ep. 4 or after ep.4 ? It seems they end up there in that episode and Steve looks hurt

this is before ep-4, I think maybe ep. 3 they are at the mansion and go there with the car and they still have the antenna outside of the car which it should mean they haven't fallen yet... I don't think it's the moment in which they fall because Dustin is not there

Episode 4 ? at the farm, Erica and Derek must know each other like the spoilers said, tbh I hope they are not romantic but just friends... Robin, Mike, Will and many others should be there too all together

S5 Theory Part Three

Here are my theories with all the info I have from The Dark Tower universe.

Disclaimer: Im not saying any of these are right, likely to happen, or that I necessarily even want them to happen. I just think that btwn learning ab TDT and rewatching stranger things, these are fun theories to consider!

*SPOILERS FOR SEASON 1-4 AHEAD*

*MENTIONS OF S5 BTS CONTENT AHEAD* I think S5 will come out on July 15th, 2025—the ninth anniversary! It will take place over the course of several months rather than a week or two like we have seen in the past. I think it will start in late summer, back-to-school time. I think we will see a lot more of Mr. Clark this season, and he will fill some of the scientist roles (along with new casting) we will be missing after S4's deaths. We will see a lot more flashbacks this season, either due to trying to keep Vecna out with positive memories or just reminiscing. Vecna will return to Hawkins lab at some point. Possibly a significant battle or it will be his lair. Vecna takes Holly, but I'm not sure he kills her (Like an 80% chance he does tho) I think with the increased army presence, we may see the kids lose the ability to see or visit Max (since she is a Venca victim). Nancy has a candy stripper/nurse outfit this season because they are trying to sneak in to see/save her in some way. I'm at about 60% on the chance of Kalli coming back. If she does, it will either help El train or help El defeat Vecna. Nancy detective journalist era, but she isn't going to leave for college. She would never just dip like that. Stobin or Nancy work at the radio station set we've seen. Hopper will either be stuck in hiding with El or in the army, but only as a means of gathering intel.

I think that people were not far off on the Kas theory. I think there will be a character that represents Kas, but it'll be Will. In S4 they talk about how Vecna doesn't kill his victims, he absorbs their abilities/souls. We also see that El can revive the dead (Max) in some way. That skill isn't practiced on her part, and we know Vecna is stronger than she is. I think Vecna kills Will and then revives him using memories like El did to Max, but only uses his darkest memories. These memories turn him against his friends, at which point he becomes Kas. Mike will be the key to getting Will back (since Mike is the heart). Mike will have to confront his romantic or platonic feelings for Will while reminding him of their good memories. This will lead to Will delivering the final blow to Vecna (like Kas) when he remembers.

I also think the idea of "Twinners" from The Talisman will come into play, but not quite in the same way. Instead of them all having Upside Down twins, I think Vecna will reanimate the corpses of his victims (since we've seen that the bodies are still in the Upside Down) and use these reanimated corpses to torture the MCs. Especially bc we know that it's all a hive mind so anyone killed by a part of Vecna's hive mind was technically killed by Vecna (depending on if thats how they wanna spin it). Specifically, I think Dustin will be either Vecna'd (but not killed) or have to see Eddie's reanimated corpse (fitting in with strange similarities between Eddie and Metallica's Eddie). Barb will return to torture Nancy, Bob returning for Joyce, etc.

In the Talisman universe, there is a plot where the person who opens the gate banishes himself to an alternate universe and closes the gate forever, forcing himself to leave behind everyone he loves. I think this is how El's story will end. She won't die but instead will have to stay in the Upside Down forever. In the end, we will see a crying Mike looking up and noticing the light above him glowing brightly, showing how he and El may continue communicating.

Characters I think could die:

Vicki (they loooove giving us a new character to fall in love with so they can brutally kill them that same season)

Steve (sacrificing himself for the Dustin, Robin, or Johnathan.) Holly (Maybe, it just seems too easy) Dr. Owens Vecna (Duh) Either Lucas or Max (I think Max may come back only to lose Lucas) Murray Ted Wheeler Wayne Munson (following Eddie's reanimated corpse into the upside down; I think that's how they reveal that Vecna reanimated the bodies)

Characters that I think are 100% going to survive: Mike Dustin (will try to be a hero like Eddie, but Steve will sacrifice himself to save Dustin (I think at the church)) Will Joyce Karen Wheeler

Anyone else, I'm not sure they are safe, but I also don't think they are going to die.

10. The cast, especially David (who knows the ending) and Finn (who might know something), are always so happy talking about Byler. They wouldn’t be if Will ended up dying alone as a sad gay. Also no one likes milkvan except maybe Millie unless she’s acting… Caleb even said ”Lucas and Max’s love is real unlike Milkvan’s”.

9. Mike has been queercoded throughout the whole series. Especially with queer colors, he spent s4 dressed as a gay pride flag. Also bi and pan colors are associated with him. Also Ted’s ”our son with a girl?” and everything Eddie said about forced conformity etc

8. Byler parallelling other romantic ships like Jancy, Jopper and Lumax. I’m not listing examples because there are SO MANY! (Also Milkvan parallelling all the platonic/dead ships)

7. Mileven being bones. We have nothing that shows their actual, deep love they’re ”supposed to have”. We don’t know what Mike loves about El and what El loves about Mike. We don’t know what makes them a compatible match romantically. We only know things that don’t make them compatible: El feeling the need to lie to Mike, Mike feeling embarrassed of his nerdy self with El, El feeling unloved by Mike, Mike feeling inferior to El…

6. The desert scenes. The triple take ofc, but also the car roof top convo with Will (jancy parallell). Will is talking about how it’s scary to say how you really feel because what if they don’t like the truth. And Mike NODS. If the truth was that he loved El exactly like El wanted, El would like that truth. So what is the truth Mike is worried that El doesn’t like…?

5. Mike’s monologue. He had to be pushed by Will to open his mouth. He lied about him loving her at first sight. He copied the t-shirt part from Eddie. He kept saying she’s his superhero which El doesn’t wanna be. He didn’t include anything personal about El and their relationship after the t-shirt thing… Also El didn’t seem to like what she heard and their love didn’t save the world. And they didn’t even talk after it. And while filming it they didn’t focus on just the couple (like they did with byler in s2 shed scene) and they let Finn improvise as if it wasn’t that important (as important as the van scene…)

4. Mike would be so poorly written if he wasn’t into Will and I don’t think the Duffers would just ignore his character. Also all the lip glances and heart eyes wouldn’t make sense.

3. Byler/Milkvan contrast. When Will was gone and they found his ”body”, Mike heard Will breathing in a radio channel and believed he was alive. He didn’t rest for a second, he did everything he could to find him. When he thought El was dead, he didn’t go looking for her, even tho a couple times he actually saw her. Also in s3 when Milkvan had a fight, Max said Mike will be crawling back to her begging for forgiveness in no time. Instead Mike laid on a sofa and ate and complained. When Byler had a fight… well we all know what Mike did then.

2. Mike and Will’s relationship has always been different from other friendships. They’ve said it themselves (”pls don’t tell the others, they wouldn’t understand”, ”Hawkins is not the same without you”, ”you make her me feel better for being different”). Also their scenes together have always been a big deal (van scene took an entire day to film, crazy together was written before s1 was even filmed) and they are shot in a really romantic way (music, lighting…)

1. In the beginning of s3, Will said to Joyce that he’s not gonna fall in love. That made his arc about romance. We know now that he already fell in love, but he doesn’t believe it’s requited. If s5 goes from ”i don’t think he loves me back” to ”he doesn’t love me back” we get literally nowhere and the entire storyline (since s1) would be useless and waste of time and money. They wouldn’t make Will suffer 4 seasons and then suffer some more. So believe me when I say it goes ”I don’t think he loves me back” to ”He does love me back!”

Fixing Broken CC - Step by Step

I've noticed that over the years, CC I loved in the past get left, well, in the past. Build essentials and item go-tos get destroyed by updates and the modders who made them never return. So I have compiled a guide to get your broken cc back up and running. Software to install: Sims 4 Studio (S4S) [windows] [mac] Believe it or not, but at least half of the issues I have ever faced could could be solved by s4s. Right up at the top bar is a menu item called "Content Management" > Batch Fixes. This is your best friend.

Most any batch that broke CC can be quickly (do note that if you have a lot of cc, the word "quickly" should be changed to "slowly but automatically") fixed for you. Once the script has finished updating your CC, you will get to see what CC updated, what cc could not be updated, and what CC did not need to be fixed by the script. But what if it didn't help? What if you're like me, with an adorable music box CC item that still has the option "Listen to..." instead of "Play", rendering it useless? What then? Since you have downloaded (and hopefully ran) S4S at least once, you should have a sims4studio folder in your DOCUMENTS folder on your computer.

Inside of this folder, you're going to click on "Mods" and drag and drop the CC item that you want to edit

Now you are going to want to go to S4S and select Object Override. (click on the word "Object" to proceed).

In the drop downs section, find "Content" and select "Custom". If you do not see your custom content, close and reopen S4S.

Save the package file somewhere where you will be able to find it later. I choose my downloads folder. Give it a name (I choose the items original name then add "- Edited"). Once it is saved, you will be on an overwhelming screen. Ignore it. At the top, you will see two options: Studio and Warehouse. Select Warehouse then go a little higher to where it says "Tools". Select Extract Tuning...

What we are going to do from here is rip the working parts off of a base game EA item. In my case, I will be ripping the functionality off of an EA stereo. Almost any item you would be fixing would be under the naming convention "object/object_[item name]". in the top bar, type that.

Pick anything that will work. In my case, that would be the highlighted item. After you have selected the item from the list, click "Add to current Package". and close the window. Now towards the bottom of that Warehouse tab, you should see something called "Object Tuning". For me, it is the second to the bottom.

When you click on it, you get two tabs on the right-hand side: XML and Data.

--OPTIONAL SECTION--

In XML, you can change some interesting things. In my case, I want to change "Trigger_random_state" which controls what radio stations get selected when you click turn on > random in game.

Personally, I don't want my music box playing anything by Lullabies, Classical, and Baroque, even when randomly playing music. If you scroll down a bit to "client states, you can find a list of every radio station.

For my example of only letting a music box play Classical, Lullabies, and Baroque, I will delete everything from "client_states" except those options (keep stereochannel_off and stereochannel_randomPick).

Make sure to keep every <u> and </u> as well as the </L> at the end. Now you can copy the stations you kept and go up to the random section from before.

You might notice that the random section has n="state_value" where our added items all have n="key". We will want to fix that.

Delete our "off" and "randomPick" options then delete the preexisting options in the trigger_random_state.

--EXIT OPTIONAL SECTION-- Now that your item does what you want it to do and you have (optionally) deleted functionality that you don't want the item to have, you should be able to mess with the "Data" tab.

Change the "Name" section to [your name]:[object name]. Once you click off of that box (or hit enter), you will see that the TuningId becomes a lot longer.

Go to the "Object Definition" file from the right side of your screen.

In there you will see Tuning and Tuning ID. Copy the name you just wrote in Object Tuning > Data to the Tuning box and the TuningId from Object Tuning > Data to the other TuningId. (TuningId might autofill for you. Just copy and paste anyway to be sure).

Now you should be able to save this file and move it back into your Sims 4 mods folder. --RESULTS-- The white, unedited music box still has the old (and broken) "Listen to" function.

However, our edited music box now has the working "Turn on" function.

[AUTHORS NOTE: I accidentally deleted the 'Sims Data' file in S4S, so the 'Put in inventory' option did not show up in screenshots. If you follow my directions to a T and do not accidentally delete "pointless files", you should see all of the options.]

And even better, now the music box can only play the three stations that we wanted it to in the optional section.

--FINAL NOTES-- Let's say you're like me. You have a couple of music boxes that need to be fixed. Going through all of these steps all over again is more hassle than its word. That's where the "Import" and "Export buttons come into handy. On BOTH the Object Tuning and Sims Data XML files you have on the object you have JUST EDITED, click the "Export" button and save the xml files as somethings like "Music Box Object Tuning" and "Music Box Sim Data".

Once you have exported both files, begin the first steps two of this process (Object > Override then selecting the item you wish to override). At the bottom of the Workshop page. you will see an "Add" button. Click on it, then add an Object Tuning and a Sim Data file.

Once you have both, they will look like this and be completely empty.

Now go ahead and click the import button (right next to the export button we used earlier) and import the tuning xml and the data xml into their appropriate files in S4S. If you go to Object Tuning > Data, you will see that the name of the tuning stayed the same BUT THE TUNING ID DID NOT. Once these items have been added, go ahead and update the Object Definition and use the "save" button in the bottom right corner. Now all you have to do is click and drag this file into your mods folder! Happy Simming!

Breaking my silence

I guess fandom doesn't take leaker maire3xx on X too seriously. But I do, I buy it - like 72% buy it, who would want to be sure. People brought the counter argument that they said Lucas would die in S4, but they claim they just hinted hints about shit getting real in the Creel house, that was taken as Lucas dying. Which from the way they talk I can believe? Are there better counter arguments?

The Sinclairs move away and Lucas is not in Hawkins High to be bullied alongside Dustin and Mike. The Sinclair siblings insert themselves into the plot somehow using Erica's friend Tina. Lucas is then hyper focused on Max. Caleb has not filmed yet (or when they said this not so long ago)

So for the obvious – I favour third person (which I knew), and I’m a bit heavier on female POVs than I anticipated (which I’m pleased with, actually). Also very Jade-heavy, and since I’m already 50% of the Jade/Eli tag on AO3, that doesn’t exactly shock me.

(It’s not immediately obvious for all of them, but every single one of these is Weevil-heavy, which is the most unshocking thing possible. I think I have exactly one VM fic in progress where he’s not central to the entire premise, and even there he’s still majorly present.)

Other than that, the closest thing to a trend that I can pick up is that apparently I like opening sentences that feel either dynamic or relatable? Satisfaction and the post-canon zombie fic both have the more classic hook of raising questions about what’s going on, and most of the JEC fics as well as Carmen’s WCS entry are an attempt to jump you right into the characters’ heads or at least their social reality. Whereas the fusion AUs seem to establish their crossover-fandom immediately (THG with an immediate reference to a well known part of that universe, and COM by heavily echoing Briar’s introductory sentence). I don’t know if I did it on purpose, but I like it, so I’ll have to see how much/if that holds true for the other ones in the series. (The BTVS and Animorphs ones are harder, because they involve discovering something, but the summary of the latter will definitely start with My name is Veronica…, and the 1-800-WHERE-R-U one starts with a direct shout-out.)

Sari was thankfully safely outside the range when this mishap occurred but...the other guys were NOT as lucky. Ratchet and Arcee were also lucky enough to not be in range, having been occupied with her own recovery considering her 4 or so million year nap.

Meaning, the only ones left behind, that could be affected were -Optimus, who was quietly sitting on a comfy spot, swaying his legs a little

-Bumblebee, who was currently giggling with absolute mad glee while he playing a game of chase with

-Bulkhead, who had decided, in this game of chase, to play the part of a rolling boulder who was in pursuit of his best friend, all in good fun!

-Jazz, who was sat rather politely, but singing along to some songs on the radio, and overall, just vibing.

It wasn't even noon in the base, and Ratchet was already too tired for this. And he wasn't even meant to care for Sparklings! He was an EMERGENCY Vehicle, not a nanny!

Maybe he was lucky that Arcee was there, as she was rather quick to wrangle the two chaotic Sparklings and get them all sat down.

She seemed...happy actually, with getting to work with such young bots. Maybe because she missed it? It made sense. She was last online during a war, and the war was over, and now she needed something to stabilize herself so... couldn't hurt?

But...This had to be reversible...right? He really hoped so Because if it wasn't, he was going to be REALLY tired.

Not to mention, having to deal with Sentinel, when he inevitably made his own impromptu visits...

Sari piped in that she would be happy to help baby sit, but for one, she barely reached the sparklings knees, so she wasn't gonna be TOO helpful...

Oh he really hoped this would be temporary.

PBS: All Creatures Great and Small Season 4 New and Returning Cast

Boston, MA; June 27, 2023: MASTERPIECE on PBS, Channel 5, and BAFTA and Golden Globe®-winning production company Playground (Howards End, Wolf Hall) today announce the casting of the much-loved drama All Creatures Great and Small as it gears up for its fourth season.

Based on the cherished collection of stories by best-selling author James Herriot, the critically acclaimed adaptation returns to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales for a fourth season of timeless and heart-warming stories, picking up in 1940 as Churchill takes office and Europe is under serious threat. The seven new episodes (including a Christmas Special) will air on MASTERPIECE on PBS in early 2024 and Channel 5 this autumn with All3Media International as the global partner.

MASTERPIECE Executive Producer Susanne Simpson adds, “I can’t wait for our MASTERPIECE audience to see this new season of All Creatures Great and Small. It continues to be full of the warmth and humor that has made it one of our most successful series ever.” MASTERPIECE is presented on PBS by GBH Boston.

Sir Colin Callender CBE, Executive Producer and CEO of Playground said: “We are thrilled to be back in the glorious Yorkshire Dales for a fourth season of family, community and, of course, animal hijinks. Our wonderful cast and crew are all delighted to be returning to adapt more of James Herriot’s joyful and life-affirming stories.”

Season 4 sees Nicholas Ralph reprise his role as young country vet James Herriot, now happily married to Helen Herriot, played by Rachel Shenton (White Gold, For Her Sins). Samuel West (Slow Horses, Small Axe) returns as James’ capricious and erratic mentor Siegfried Farnon while Anna Madeley (Time, Patrick Melrose) continues as Mrs. Hall, matriarch of Skeldale House. Patricia Hodge (Miranda, A Very English Scandal) also reprises her role as the wonderfully eccentric Mrs. Pumphrey, and Derek as her adored and pampered Pekingese Tricki.

With Tristan away serving in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, Siegfried and James bring in some extra hands to help around the practice. Neve McIntosh (Shetland) joins the cast as highly efficient bookkeeper Miss Harbottle, alongside James Anthony-Rose (Slow Horses, Pennyworth) as studious undergraduate vet student Richard Carmody who arrives at Skeldale as part of his placement under the guidance of James.

A colorful ensemble of farmers, animals and townsfolk living in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1940s will also star, including Tony Pitts and Imogen Clawson as Helen’s father and sister, Richard and Jenny Alderson, Paul Copley as Ned Clough, Cleo Sylvestre MBE as Anne Chapman, James Bolam MBE as Mr. Dakin and Will Thorp as Gerald Hammond and Sam Retford as FO Woodham.

Louise Pedersen, CEO of All3Media International, commented: “Over three seasons All Creatures Great and Small has offered heartwarming, escapist viewing that has connected with audiences and become a firm fan favorite all around the world, and as Playground’s wonderful series enters its fourth season I am delighted to continue to build the brand globally.”

Returning for Season 4 is Executive Producer Ben Vanstone (A Gentleman in Moscow, The Last Kingdom) who will write the Christmas special. Writer Jamie Crichton (Three Pines, Grantchester) also returns, this time as lead writer and Executive Producer. Joining them for season four are writers Maxine Alderton (Emmerdale Farm, Doctor Who) and Helen Raynor (A Discovery of Witches, Call the Midwife).

Andy Hay (The Last Kingdom, Jamestown) is Lead Director and will direct episodes 1 and 2. Stewart Svaasand (Tin Star, Death in Paradise) will direct episodes 3, 4 and 6, while BAFTA winner Jordan Hogg (Ralph and Katie, Screw) will direct episode 5 and the Christmas Special.

All Creatures Great and Small is a timeless classic that continues to be much loved by generations. Never out of print, the books have sold 60 million copies internationally becoming a global cultural phenomenon with devoted fans around the world. With a sharp focus on community and its importance in our lives, Herriot’s world and spirit is a very much needed antidote to the challenges of modernity and reminds us all that belonging to a community makes us part of something greater than ourselves.

Season 4 is currently filming on location in Yorkshire.

If I have any regrets for how this series has gone, I honestly wish I'd included on-screen sex from the start. There's plenty of discussion and innuendo, as well as a few fade to black moments, but the closest I have is an episode in S7 when Roman and Celine finally get some alone time, but it's fade to black repeatedly cut through with chaos. But sex is such a major part of this story, and I feel like this playlist out of all of them showed this even back in 2019 when I made it.

(and yes, I've written some sex scenes that didn't end up staying in. And there's one in particular between Noah and Jude [neither of which are a part of this playlist] that I'm particularly happy with. It's all healing and care and yes, bondage. I alluded to it in the squirrel funeral scene in S4, so it's canon. But dropping the scene in after 4 seasons of a particular style wouldn't have worked well.)

07:32 p.m.

You parked the car without turning the engine off. You turned around and faced your siblings in the back seat, El giggling at something Will whispered in her ear.

“I’ll come by tomorrow, ten AM sharp, okay?”

“Can’t it be at noon?” El asked, you just shook your head no in response. “Ugh, fine. See you!” she’s getting too sassy. Mike’s a bad influence.

“Tell Eddie I said hi if you can keep your mouth out of his!” Your little brother snickered as they got out of the car, their backpacks in tow. You rolled your window down.

“William Byers!” you called out to him, but he just ignored you, linking arms with Eleven as they both giggled their way to the Wheeler’s door, where Mike was already waiting for them. You could see Nancy coming down the stairs behind him.

You heard a muffled laugh and turned to Jonathan on your right. He had his wrist on his mouth, trying to hide his delight. Unsuccessfully.

“Not you too.”

“You make it too easy!” His comeback made you roll your eyes as Nancy got into the back seat. You exchanged greetings and she leaned in to give Jon a peck on his cheek. “What’s with you and Munson, anyway?”

“Oh, we gossiping?” Nancy asked, her trademarked smirk on her lips, as she settled into her seat and you started driving again.

“Fuck you both.” You had a grin on your lips anyway. You turned to your brother just for a second before focusing on the road again. “And, to answer your question, I don’t know, okay? He’s nice, he’s fun, we get along. I like… being with him. Does it have to be more than that?”

“I dunno, do you want it to be more?” Jonathan asked back and you shrugged.

“We’re two thousand miles apart, man. Not much can happen with that distance.”

“But aren’t you coming back next year? Something could happen then,” Nancy gave her input. You bit the inside of your cheek. You hated being the center of the conversation.

“When that happens, I’ll think about it. Until then, I’ll just keep having fun. Privately, okay?!” You punched your brother’s arm lightly, and turned up the music on the radio, marking the end of that chat.

It didn’t take too long for you to arrive at Steve’s house after that, and as you parked your car next to his in the driveway, he was already opening the front door. You exited the car and Jonathan handed you the bowls he was holding so he could retrieve other stuff from the trunk.

“Welcome home,” Steve greeted you with a bear hug, and Robin got the bowls from your hands so you could hug him back.

“Happy thanksgiving, Stevie. Mom sent you some leftovers.” You let go of him to go into the kitchen, where Robin was putting your mom’s packed goods into Harrington’s fridge. You greeted her too after she finished.

Steve walked right behind you as you saw Nancy and Jonathan head over to the living room with board games and VHS tapes in hands. Harrington handed you one of the aprons that were hanging from pineapple-shaped hooks beside the kitchen entrance.

“What we cookin’?” you asked, tying a not on the back of your neck as Steve put on his own apron.

He smiled. “You get started on the guacamole, I’ll get started on the cake.”

“Deal.” You winked as each of you turned to a countertop to start your tasks.

08:51 p.m.

The doorbell rang and Steve was too busy icing the cake, so he asked you to answer it. You looked over at the living room on your way to the door and saw that Robin was taking a nap while Jon and Nance were playing cards.

He was already smiling when you opened the double door. “Hey, princess.”

“Seriously, Eddie? Princess again?” You took a step to the side to give him room and as he walked in beside you he gave you a noisy, wet kiss on the cheek.

“You’re just too cute when annoyed. Happy Thanksgiving!” he announced as he stepped into the kitchen, stocking the beers he had brought into the fridge before giving Steve a hug. “Oh, nice!” He dipped a finger into the icing of the cake, earning a slap from Harrington, but he smiled nonetheless as he tasted the sweet whipped cream.

“You’re late.” Steve pointed the spreader he was using at Eddie, who shrugged.

“Fashionably late.”

“No, just late late.” He finished the basic decoration on the cake and put it away in the fridge. “Help us bring the food to the living room,” he asked Eddie as you were already fetching the bowl with the guacamole. The pizzas you and Robin had made were almost ready in the oven too. Eddie got the chips and sauces, and Steve got the fries and condiments after hanging his apron where it belonged.

You kicked Robin’s foot as you walked into the living room, and laughed as she woke up startled.

“Not again!” Your brother whined, throwing his cards on the floor between him and his girlfriend.

“You have to work on your poker face, Jonathan.” Nance smirked at him, and, despite his loss at the game, he shot her heart-eyes that were equally cute and disgusting.

The three of them said hi to Eddie as you sat on the couch. He followed, sitting right beside you and fetching something from his backpack. “I brought edibles!” he exclaimed, the goofiest smile on his face.

“Do you ever do activities that don’t involve weed?” Steve asked, and Eddie repeated what he asked in a funny voice with a grimace on his face.

“Yes, I do, but weed makes everything more fun. Don'tcha wanna have fun, big boy?” Eddie answered and asked, throwing a wrapped-up brownie in Harrington’s direction.

“Yeah, whatever, Munson,” he replied, already opening the plastic around the brownie so he could take a bite. You rolled your eyes with a smirk on your lips.

“Will you two quit bickering?” Nancy scolded playfully. “What are we going to watch first?” she asked as she and Jon settled on a bean bag and Steve sat on the ground, between Eddie’s and Robin’s legs.

Eddie was way too close to you, unnecessarily so with all the space in the huge couch, but the warmth radiating from his body was in no way a bother.

“Breakfast Club!” Robin answered Nance’s question, earning a nod from you and Steve, a shrug from Jon and a groan from the boy beside you.

“Shut up, John Bender.” You elbowed Eddie and he faked offense like he usually did when you’d provoke him, making you chuckle.

Robin crawled her way over to the VHS player so she could put in the movie of choice. Eddie handed you your own brownie after distributing the others. Yours had a different wrapping, a paper with heart-shaped skulls and a bow of your favorite color. You giggled and thanked him quietly as the movie was beginning. You all settled more comfortably on your seats, and if your thigh rested slightly over Eddie’s, it was a complete accident.

12:21 a.m.

Munchies had hit and been satisfied, all the food you’d prepared was gone including your shares of Steve’s cake - you forced the rest of your friends to leave at least a small part of it so you could bring home and share with your siblings later. You had watched two whole movies and began a third one, but everyone started dozing off after a while. At some point you woke up and went to the bathroom, deciding after to go outside instead of heading back to the living room.

It was a chilly night, and you clasped your cardigan tighter around yourself as you sat by the edge of the pool. It was heated, you could see the fog rising from the water; and even though nobody used it, its maintenance apparently made no difference in the Harringtons’ fat budget, so it was kept filled, clean, and working.

You dipped your fingers and played with the warm water as you let your sight get lost in the woods in front of you, on the other side of the garden. It still creeped you out, but much less than it used to - to look at the forest at night, having no idea what could hide in its darkness.

You got lost in your thoughts for what felt like a long time before you heard the door sliding behind you. His citric shampoo smell instantly hit your nose, and you grinned, not looking at him until he sat down beside you, legs crossed just as yours were.

“Doing some thinking?” he asked, and you nodded. “We all woke up a while ago. I mean, can’t say if Robin’s actually awake, she seems to be in-between.”

“At least we figured out that weed shuts her off. Something had to do it.” You both chuckled.

“How come I’m the only one who wanted to come outside? I invited them.” It was weird that he didn’t know this by now, have they not explained? But you answered anyway.

“Well, this is where it all first started for them. Barb, Nancy’s best friend and the Upside Down’s second victim after Will, was caught and killed by a demogorgon here, while she and Steve were… inside. Jonathan was lurking around with his camera, searching for our brother, and took some pictures but missed the exact moment Barb was taken. It’s not a nice place for them to be,” you explained, and Eddie only nodded and looked down at his hands.

You were both silent for a while again, but it didn’t feel right. Eddie seemed restless, fidgeting with his rings more than usual. Maybe he was coming down from his high, but you sensed he wanted to talk.

“How was Thanksgiving?” You indulged a conversation, and he looked at you, big soft brown eyes and a sweet smile that felt grateful.

You talked about your holidays, how he and Wayne spent it with Dustin and Claudia. And how you spent it as a big family, the now Hopper-Byers, your house full and how it felt amazing to be surrounded by so much love. And that you looked forward to it again on Christmas.

“Maybe you and Wayne can come by then,” you invited, he smiled sweetly and nudged you on the shoulder.

You talked about your work and the college apartment you shared with colleagues. He didn’t seem interested in pursuing college, but seemed interested in what you had to say about it anyway. He talked about how his uncle got him a minor job at the plant, and how he hated it but needed new ways to provide money after the whole witch hunting thing - not many people wanted to buy drugs from him anymore, if he was being honest he wanted to quit doing it altogether; and The Hideout was only allowing a presentation a month for Corroded Coffin instead of the weekly one they used to have.

You talked about your californian friends and how you liked them, but missed your friends from Hawkins and the way only they were able to completely understand you - having been through the horrors you’ve seen together. And he talked about how, yes, that made too much of a difference, and how their bond was strong and they relied on each other completely, were there for each other at all times, no questions asked. He felt safe, and cared for, and trusted and trusting. And it felt good.

Not long after that, Robin showed up too - not having any personal problems with Steve’s pool - and you talked about other topics, how she was now a college attendee and how different it was from High School. You didn’t linger on the topic much more, not wanting to exclude Eddie - even though he didn’t seem bothered - and talked about many other things. It felt amazing being with them again.

Steve only put his head outside the door to call you to enter the house and sleep, because it was getting late already. You all entered, and changed to more comfortable clothes. The house had infinite bedrooms, apparently, and everyone was assigned their own - well, Robin was assigned her own, Jon and Nance were assigned one and you and Eddie were assigned another.

You rolled your eyes at Steve’s smirk as he announced you and Eddie would share a bed, wondering why everyone was acting like teenagers about this. But then Eddie was so excited and clasped your hand and pulled you so hard up the stairs towards your designated guest room that you couldn’t help but laugh out loud at his antics.

And if he kept his face buried in your neck and a hand on your mouth to keep you both from being too loud until sunrise, well, that was no one’s business.

Dearest Older Byers,

Steve decided against calling the whole party for his Thanksgiving get-together. Said he wants something where only adults are aloud (are we really adults, though? I still feel like I’m a lost 15 year old sometimes), so no teens to bug us all night. We’re probably gonna watch some movies, eat some pizzas, smoke and drink ‘till we go a little coo-coo. You know, like adults. Maybe I’ll get to drunkly make out with you, does that sound okay?

Wayne decided to improve the cabin, after I talked his ass off about it. I feel grateful, but also kinda guilty about keeping the bedroom. I don’t want him to sleep on a couch or a foldable bed for the rest of his life, y’know. The new job plus the sweet, sweet government money can help us with that. So we’re building him a bedroom - that’s all for now. But I think we can make a mansion out of that cabin someday.

People are still assholes to me in the streets - I don’t mind it much. But I fear for the rest of Hellfire. Specially the boys from the band, who don’t know jackshit about the Upside Down. I hate dragging them into my crap. And I hate that I can’t tell them the truth. They seem to know there are stuff I’m not telling them, but they also seem to know it’s for the best. They never ask about it. Wish I could be honest, though.

Do you think you can convince Argyle to come this time? Steve says he misses having someone to talk to about having, quote unquote, great hair. As if I’m not right fucking here. Asshole. I have great hair. But Argyle’s a cool guy, I think you should try harder to bring him. Just kidnap him or something, I can give you tips. I’ll tell your brother to ask him to come as well. We’ll keep kidnapings as a final resource.

You’ve barely left and Steve’s already crying on my shoulder about missing you. So is Will, every Hellfire meeting. Can’t say I blame them. You’re a missable person. Is that a word? Wouldn’t know, I’ve failed English three times. Fuck that. But Steve finally agreed to join a campaign after Will begged him to, cause it was supposed to be you playing but you guys didn’t had the time. So, that’s how big your impact is around here. It’s getting hard to work on the cabin as the weather gets colder, but we have to finish it before real winter arrives. Wayne’s gotta have his own bedroom by then, for fucks sake. Yesterday, at the utility store, the guy in the register - he looked like the owner - complimented my choice in tools and even though he seemed to recognize me, he wasn’t a prick. Asked me if I needed a job. I have to call him back yet, but I’m really thinking about it. I fucking hate the plant. And I don’t hate tools as much.

Christmas can’t come fast enough. I’m talking to Wayne about spending it at yours. I think it’ll be a positive. Bet you’ll look real pretty under Christmas lights (prettier than usual), so I really hope he agrees.
