Lincoln is constantly exasperated by MC (affectionate).

He likes to pretend that he doesn't understand a lot of MC's jokes. Sometimes he doesn't, but sometimes he just acts like he doesn't to annoy them.

When Lincoln is having a bad day, sarcastic!mc is really good at getting him out of his own head by making him laugh with silly stories and dumb jokes, which is really good for him because sometimes he can be grouchy and moody and all he needs is some dumb, lighthearted chatter to cheer him up.

Lincoln can't help but laugh at stupid dirty jokes, like Moby Dick jokes and that's what she said jokes. He starts making them back to MC, but they're at the most unexpected times and at first Mc is like "wait did you really just say THAT" but then they come to expect a really stupid dirty joke at the most inappropriate of times sdljfk.

Lincoln and mc have a very joking "shut up" "you love me" type banter. he'll just roll his eyes and be like: "can you pls stop talking" and mc is like "but counterpoint, you like hearing me talk." and he's like yeah it's true I do, even if you annoy the hell out of me, I do like you.

sarcastic!mc is really good at helping linc be less serious and intense about everything. when linc might've gotten angry before, sarcastic!mc shows him new ways to respond to things that upset him, with humor and not taking the world very seriously. it's really good for him honestly, and helps him be a lot happier of a guy

Malleus tends to take most things very literally right? He takes the straightforward path, direct instruction without much consideration for anything else etc etc He's also not at all good with any type of """modern slang"""

MC, from what little they talk, uses a lot of sarcasm and snark right?

But also the two of them have canonically spent much more time together talking than we get to see and Malleus actively seeks them out to have conversations

So anyway;

MC gets used to adding what are basically irl tone indicators to the end of their sentences whenever it's needed. Just an offhand "i'm not serious/not literally"

And one day during their regular nightly walks Malleus is doing his pouty face because he's just come back from some meeting or another (that he actually attended for once) and sure it's great that his friend is thoughtful enough to always make sure he's following the conversation but there are times with all the other little humans where sometimes things just don't make sense. Not that he cares of course! It doesn't matter to him what they're talking about, he doesn't care if he's included or anything.....just... it'd be polite (that's it!) if he was included

Which is what he says when they ask why he seems upset (even though he's not upset! Really!)

And casually they say "well I'll just have to clear it up for you everyday then"

And now as far as Malleus is concerned they're engaged

Probably the same amount of angst to be honest...

If anything, the rewrite solidifies the world MC lives in more, just because the lore has been hashed out so much now compared to when I first wrote the book. But otherwise, there's not much new angst content so much as there's just going to be a lot more choice and detail to the book :)

That being said, though, the world MC lives in isn't exactly a happy one. It's ruled by famine, the plague, and war.

However, there'll also be optional side-stories you can play called "Memories," which I might classify as being bittersweet...

And sometimes bittersweet things hurt more than angsty ones 👀

“Stop squirming ‘Mara.” Avania mumbled, trying to braid green ribbons into Amara’s hair. The pink haired girl was straddling her lap. “Why do you need to do this again?” Amara scoffed, arms around Avania’s waist.

“I’m trying to learn how to do hair, because most of my friends have long hair so I want to be able to help.”

“I have short hair too.”

“I know but you’re, you know, you. You’re the best person to practice on because you’ll look pretty no matter what.”

“Suck up.”

“You love it.” Avania mumbled, kissing up her werewolf scar. “You’re s’pretty ‘Mara.” “You aren’t so bad yourself, Chase.” Avania laughed and got off Amara’s lap to shrug off her red long coat and roll up her sleeves. “Hmm…I think you’d look nice with your tie as a headband rather than the green ribbons…” She said, fiddling with Amara’s loose tie and looking into her gorgeous grey eyes for silent permission. She clambered back onto her lap and Amara squeezed her hips.

“Do what you think will look best.”

Avania took off Amara’s tie and used it as a headband.

“The green looks so good on you.” She mumbled, playing with the werewolf’s hair. Avania had a paw print necklace and moon earrings to always have a piece of her hot masc werewolf girl. “Maybe I should give you pink streaks to match me.” The Hufflepuff teased. “I swear on sweet Salazar if you even think about-“

Avania shut her up with a quick kiss and ruffled her hair,

“I know Wolfie, I’m just messing with you.” Amara tugged her closer and Avania snuggled up to her,

Let’s just say Avania gave up trying to learn styling and was just content to lay in Amara’s arms for the rest of the evening.

A/N: Very short because I didn’t know how to write Amara but I think it would be cute to have my masc lesbian with @boxdstars’s masc lesbian.

probably. they're basically just slightly less powerful/half-human versions of him and they love their mama a whole lot, of course they'd believe their father if he said she needed protecting.

i can't imagine reader, even if she were bitter and jaded from her imprisonment (which i don't like the idea of, even if it's "realistic"), actually telling the kids about her imprisonment until they're much older and mature enough to understand.

From my new WiP, Cat Breath. I just started it, so this is both the beginning and the last line(s) written.

The storm had worsened during the drive, the thunder rumbling heavily overhead. Lightning forked across the sky jaggedly, throwing the building into stark relief before the light faded, shadows swallowing everything whole until the next brilliant burst banished them once more. In other words, the weather was absolute shit.
