New drawings! Im obsessed with drawing Espio rn, he’s so easy to draw for me (not to say the same thing abt Silver, I hate drawing his „hairstyle” sm 😭). His arcane outfit is simply based on the „Who killed Sonic the Hedgehog” game one, I feel like it suits just perfectly. Blaze’s would stay the same I think (or with more golden elements to be added).
And yeah, everyone wears clothes in this universe.

I also wanna remake that one „do a flip” brainrot arcane voiceover short (its just too funny dont judge me) as these two tbh
#sonic arcane au#blaze the cat#silver the hedgehog#espio the chameleon#sonic fanart#fanart#doodle#playing with colors and shading#and everything#i like the idea of Espio being sassy and intelligent here#but Im wondering about the corruption arc#while chaos emeralds would be hextech#master emerald would be the hexcore ig

A Dream I Recently Had...
I just woke up from a nap (10/10 will do it again) and the ending of my dream made me chuckle.
Apparently, I was helping saving the world from a Tsunami or something (I don't remember all of it, unfortunately, since other weird things happened as well), but the last part was quite clear and made me somewhat giddy.
Someone told me, while I was downstairs hanging out with people I don't recognize, that someone was waiting for me upstairs in my room. So, I go up there, my room reminds me of my childhood room, and I hear a freaking helicopter outside my window.
There's two men, back facing me, and the one guy's clothes was kind of ripped like he just escaped a battle or something. They're hanging on a ladder and the one guy with ripped clothes came in through my window.
I felt my jaw drop.
It was freaking Jim Carrey as Robotnik, otherwise known as Dr. Eggman.
I literally went, "Robotnik?!" while he came over and sat in front of me, some crackers in his hands and started eating.
I could only watch, stunned at the fact that the man himself is sitting in front of me.
I had leaned over and whispered, "Did you escape?"
He paused eating his crackers, looking thoughtful of the question, though I did let out a snicker since I couldn't help myself. Probably because I realized that the question sounded stupid.
He had a freaking cracker in his mouth and copied my motion to mutter, "Yes."
Then we both cackled like mad and that's when I woke up.
(Just thinking about it now makes me smile)
#sonic the hedgehog#dr eggman#jim carrey#dream#It was a fun dream and I'm happy I got to meet the guy.#It reminds me of my past dream where I was sassy with robotnik (who jim carrey played) and he was sassy right back. Another fun dream. XD

I'm ngl. I didn't actually like Amy Rose all that much until I started reading the IDW comics.
When I was younger, while I wasn't a very active Sonic fan, I was at least aware of most of the characters and what they were about. I'd played some random games like Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders Zero Gravity, Sonic Unleashed, and Sonic Generations. And Amy, most of the time, was...... kinda shit?
She had like, two character traits. And they were "girl" and "crush on Sonic." Not a lot to get invested in, and as the most prominent female character in the franchise, it didn't exactly feel like a forward-thinking way to write a woman. She was mostly... an annoying side character. And I didn't really think much of her.
But then. Man. Those fucking comics.

By just the end of the first arc, Amy is put in charge of managing the resistance against Eggman. After being a minor supporting character in Forces, she's suddenly put in a leadership role... and she fucking excels. She's caring, committed, intelligent and powerful. She's a natural leader. She kicks butt! And even when things are calm, she's fun to watch. And she gets screentime! She plays at least a small part in almost every major arc of the comic, always making a difference, always part of the crew, always important and present. It rules.

Meanwhile she maintains her crush on Sonic, but rather than the rather annoying obsessive behaviour she used to display, it's much more casual. She's flirty and sassy about it, she teases him, she has fun with it. And Sonic reciprocates a bit! You get the feeling he actually *likes* her! I actually kinda started to ship it.
After being a character I basically gave no shits about in the past, reading the IDW comics made Amy shoot way up the rankings for me. She became one of my favorite characters in the franchise, top five at least. I love seeing her in anything.
I'm not really sure how Amy is handled in the games nowadays. I haven't played Frontiers yet. But IDW Amy? Man.
That's my girl right there.

Boom SonShadAmy/Sonadamy rambles
Ight that Boom sonshadAmy post is getting blown up kind of so I thought I should explain the dynamics of them and what each part of the relationship looks like.
SonAmy
Sonic and Amy are not so secretly secretly dating. They both like to sass each other but they do clearly love each other. I mainly am basing them off my mom and stepdad because they act rude to one another but actually love each other. Been dating for a solid 2+ years now and Sonic still hasn't popped the question. Was the one who made Sonic's bandanna. Sonic will crash at her place sometimes but he usually sleeps at his beach house thing. Both looked at shadow and was like "I wanna date him" and they made it a race as to who can get him first.
ShadAmy
Shadow and Amy are a lot more tame. Shadow still broods a lot but that is because Amy yoinked him out of his cave and made him live with her (still figuring out why). Amy can backtalk him without fear of getting punched. She is the one who wears the nonexistent pants in the relationship and Shadow listens reluctantly. Regardless Shadow has cuteness aggression towards her which just ends up with him squishing her face. Should mention that she won the race into getting Shadow to date her first before Sonic was able to.
Sonadow
Sonic and Shadow had the longest time getting together just due to Shadow's hatred of Sonic. Very similar to his relationship with Amy just this time he has a grumpy hedgehog instead. Him and Shadow watch reality TV together for fun once dating. They play fight more often than not after the first while of being together. They are literally ADHD (sonic) vs Austism (shadow) and sometimes their special interests line up and they can end up talking about something for hours on end.
SonShadAmy dynamics
Shadow is stuck with two sassy hedgehogs that he ends up loving oh so very much (no matter how much he wants to punch Sonic). Still the most reserved out of all 3 but has slowly calmed down with Sonic and Amy's help. Also if all 3 decide to share a bed (which is rare) he gets stuck in the middle with the other two cuddling him. He gets uncomfortable sometimes which means he just turns over onto his stomach and then can sleep. Sonic is the most affectionate behind closed doors ironically (he hates PDA). He gets in trouble for being too messy but has slowly been getting better. Gets all 3 of them into trashy TV dramas or game shows. Actually has the best movie taste whenever new movies reach the island. Amy is the one who mainly cooks just because it is her house and Shadow ends up helping after a few months of staying there and learns how to make edible meals after not knowing how to cook. Both boys get on her nerves sometimes and they get in trouble for it. Shares a hobby with both of them with Shadow's being dancing and Sonic's actually being reading.
Thats all I have for now, bye!

Starburst " Star " the hedgehog
My Maria reincarnate character!!
Her colors might be tweaked later on, but for now this is her current design
Any and all fanart is accepted if done appropriately :) Star is a minor!
Past sketches/concept art:
Star Facts!!
☆ Her quills have a genetic mutation where they're downy and too soft for defense
☆ She works for the Angelic Winter Gaurd, which is an organization of guards in the northern region of the world, assigned to protecting people and search parties
☆ She's prone to deja vu after meeting Shadow, despite not knowing if his existence before they met
☆ She gets bullied because of her mutation, but it only encourages her to work harder
☆ She has a power/energy that makes her skates glow and go at super speed when she uses them (wip!)
☆ She has a dog sled she pulls around that usually holds her equipment, but she often puts survivers on it to bring them back home
☆ Since she is a reincarnate, she shares traits with Maria but still has her own interests and ideals
☆ She loves space and winter. Her favorite thing is the northern/southern lights
☆ Her mutation actually gives her some immunity to the cold, unlike other hedgehogs who need more winter gear
☆ She skateboards!
☆ She knows how to play the electric guitar but is too shy to play it
☆ She's very kind and calm but has a sassy personality. She looks introverted at first but is quickly found out to be extroverted
☆ She hates showing off and doesn't think her powers are all that impressive, especially since they only work when she's skating
☆ Her powers allow her to create glass-like panels under her skates, used like stairs, in the air if she needs to get high in the air (kind of like what Sonic can do with his shoes in the Grim in Sonic Prime)
☆ At first working for the Angelic Winter Gaurd, she's shy and timid but becomes confident later on all on her own (but along with the help of a wisp friend; a white wisp named Snowflake)

hey, i'm a new sonic fan (really digging your writings btw!!!) would you mind explaining a bit of this tag of yours? i get the feeling youve been in the fandom for a while haha X)
hello, I am SO sorry for the late response. I am terrible with my asks and kind of disappeared for much of the winter. Some might say this particular hedgehog was hibernating! That said, welcome to the fandom!
You are right! I've been here since 2012, but I've done many blasts to the past to learn about the things before my time lol.
This is gonna be an off-the-cuff answer, so bear with me, but this ask was in reference to this post where I mentioned some "questionable Amy Rose characterization." In short, it's only within maybe the last eight or so years that North American Sonic has been in decent sync with Japanese Sonic, as a franchise. While there are still plenty of localization differences between these two realms (from characterization to plot/lore implications), they are largely on the same page, now. This wasn't always the case.
When Sonic first appeared in the 90s, there was essentially a version of him for every "video game region" (North America, Japan, and Europe). Sonic was characterized very differently depending on where he was. Again, super off the cuff, but American Sonic was a super cocky, sassy speed demon who made fun of his enemies and had no fucks to give. Japanese Sonic was still arrogant and sassy, but a lot less flashy about it. European Sonic, I am the least familiar with, but I know him to be somewhere in the middle of NA and JP. NA and EU also have their own cast of characters on top of the official characters we know.
To the core of your question about Amy, Amy chasing Sonic is a trope in JP media between young lovers and was largely meant to be shown as a game between the two. Amy also reads as a lot more "cute and endearing" in Japanese iterations of her in the 2000s.
However, NA Sonic, as a franchise, played up her romantic feelings for Sonic to an absolute extreme for laughs, but it ended up with some really dubious results. Amy's NA characterization makes her out to be more of an active aggressor. Words you might see floating around about this include "stalker," "fangirl," and "obsessed." These things led a lot--like, A LOT a lot--of people to dislike or vehemently hate Amy Rose.
Some iterations of this aren't so bad, but the ones people really point at are Sonic Battle (she mistakenly believes that Sonic intends for a robot named Emerel to be their son), Sonic Heroes (Amy's reason for hunting Sonic down is to "get him to marry her"), and Sonic Adventure 2 (Amy says that she will only free sonic from his prison cell if he agrees to marry her; she is unsuccessful and frees him anyway).
To be clear, I FIRMLY believe that the latter two examples I gave were meant to be understood as jokes and that IS how Sonic takes them. People also point to a moment in Sonic 06 where she says she would choose Sonic over the fate of the world, but I also firmly believe that people misinterpret her meaning (more on that here). However, the fact this is a hill I need to die on shows that it wasn't made clear enough by the American writers. And anyway, this really starts to simmer down around 2008 with Sonic Unleashed.
The general consensus in the fandom, to my knowledge, is that this happened for two reasons. 1) Amy's crush combined with Sonic's (at the time) purposefully ambiguous feelings for her made for the type of gag humour that was big in the 2000s, and 2) Sonic already had a highly popular love interest in Sally Acorn, a NA-exclusive character from the 90s cartoon (Sonic the Hedgehog/SatAM) and the Archie comics that largely acted as a continuation of that cartoon's story.
Sally was so much "in Amy's place," as it were, that the NA instruction Manual for Sonic CD (Amy's introductory game, mind you) deliberately refers to Amy as Sally.
I'm not super well informed about Archie Sonic, but Amy has kind of a bad rep in those comics too. She has a uncomfortable back story (she uses magic, basically, to make herself older so she can join Sally's freedom fighters and be with sonic), is consistency depicted as overbearing and mean, and I've even seen people complain about the way she's drawn (she always has this unbecoming, large mouth that makes her unpleasant to look at).
However, the Archie comics underwent a total reboot in 2013 (the comics ended in 2017), and my understanding is that Amy's characterization is dramatically improved from there on out.
Again, SUPER off the cuff. There were a lot of micro details I skimmed over. I 100% encourage you to go on the deep dive and draw your own conclusions, but I hope this gives some good background to get started!
In summary, NA Amy Rose (and, to a lesser extent, Amy Rose in general during the early 2000s), is kind of rough to watch. SEGA over-corrected a little bit around 2012 by taking her down the hyper-independent route, but settled on something really solid for her in 2017 starting with Sonic Forces and the IDW comics.

And that's Sonic Lost World 3DS.
My feelings towards it are basically the same as the console version. Not bad, there's some good here, but the experience is a mixed bag.
I think some exaggerate the level length. Yes, near the end I was spending 10+ minutes, but I was expecting 20+ by reviews. I never once timed out on a level, though I definitely sweated it on a couple occasions, most of the time it was because I was having trouble with a section.
Which, yeah this game was difficult for me. The level design looks simple, like if it was the console version I'd get it easily, but it's something about how it controls. Sonic just has two set speeds and not a lot of weight, so I found myself over and undershooting jumps a lot, spinning in the air trying to land on the platform, or just not thinking a jump was possible. I think the devs knew this was rough as the later worlds are packed with extra lives and a shitton of rings, there's no way you're getting a game over on the latter half.
Of course, the Wisp focused levels are the worst. I hate how they control. Legit NONE OF THEM EVER stop moving. This means you're playing games with the camera, trying not to careen off a cliff. I didn't like the Wisps in the console version or Colors DS, but my god this was worse.
The camera also was not helpful. You cannot adjust it at all in this game, so it mostly follows behind Sonic in 3D seconds. On the spheres, it snaps something awful. If those weren't smaller contained sections, the game would be completely unplayable just due to motion sickness. Outside of that, I actually got lost in a few stages because the camera wouldn't turn to show me where to go and there weren't rings to guide me.
Maybe it's my fault for playing in 2D, but I also had a hard time judging depth, which made things worse.
Although, it's made me realize the 3DS screen is too small for 3D Sonic. Yes, it zooms out to give you scope plenty, he has a drop shadow for platforming, but it's so few pixels it can be hard to see. Actually, the low resolution makes quite a few things hard to make out, something I think you'll easily miss if you emulate the game.
I think the worst thing is the homing attack just not functioning half the time, causing me to kick at items, bounce when staring directly at an enemy, just double jump or flat out ignore my input. I haven't had this much trouble with the homing attack since the Adventure era games, or Rush for that matter.
As far as Dimps games go, I did notice this has less pits than usual. I'd fall and land on a lower path quite a bit. I kinda felt clever for a bit, until I realized they weren't alternate paths, just jumped and skipped the entire bottom section, which loops right to the beginning of the upper section. That said, I actually think these levels are well designed, it's just the controls and length that kills it.
I think if the levels were broken up into smaller bits instead of them focusing on having only 3 stages and one boss per world, it would've been better. Like the Wii U had bonuses for gimmicks, meanwhile the gimmicks here are in the main level, like it or not.
That snowboarding section wowed me, I'd like to try other paths and see what I missed, but I don't want to spend 8 minutes in a level for it. I think the beginning of the snowball puzzle was also cool! Until it dragged on for 18 minutes (yeah that's the longest stage). Rail grinding was awesome, but should've been set to its own stage without the required enemy locks. The Wisp's introduction level should not also feature the mastery of it, but it does because that's basically the only time it's used (quake, just know there's a special place in hell for you). If they simply divided it up, I think as a whole the experience would've been improved.
Again, some good ideas, interesting concepts, but how it's structured and utilized drags it down. It's a mediocre game, much like it's console brethren.
Alright, only one game left on the 3DS I haven't played and that's Fire & Ice. I liked Shattered Crystal alright (always gotta remember it's moreso a platforming metroidvania rather than a Sonic game) and this is supposedly better, so I'll see.

Rare But Not So Rare Sonic Moments
Flaws
This may get controversial.

I welcome anyone else’s view point on this topic. If you don’t agree I’m okay with that. Just because I have a different perspective doesn’t make what I think right or wrong. You don’t have to change your mind. Whatever your opinion is, I respect it. Besides, it’s fun to have different views on something we both love. It gives us a way to see different sides of the coin.
Disclaimer: I’m a person who didn’t grow up with this franchise and only recently got into in early 2022. I have no biases towards any version of this character. Making my opinions about his characterizations mixed.
By the way, I’ll only use Sonic games as examples (for the most part) because this analysis would be too long if I talked about other medias.
In short. Most of his flaws do stir into different medias as well. To be honest, Sonic’s other variants aren’t as different as some may think, but that’s my hot take.
Times The Blue Blur Messed Up
Riders: Sonic lunched Amy along with Eggman into the air with his wind abilities. While knowing Amy’s safety would be at risk. Then left her. Which was the reason she was so angry and aggressive afterwards. He didn’t ever apologize either.
06: Exchanged a chaos emerald for Elise even after Tails warned Sonic not to.
Unleashed: Was distracted by taunting Eggman.
Sonic: “Well, this is new. Showing remorse Eggman? If you played nice, I wouldn’t have to break all your toys.”
Then became the Werehog. All because he wanted to boost his ego.
Secret Rings: Shahra used Sonic to collect the world rings for Erazar Djinn. Even though it should’ve been expected because she said, “They use to work together.” Ended up not being true.
Black Night: Was tricked into helping Merlina who wanted to create a world that would last forever.
Lost World: Tails once again tried to warn Mr.Impatient about the conch in Eggman’s hand, but kicked it anyways. Then warned Sonic about another trap, he didn’t listen, ended up getting the fox captured instead.
Frontiers: Accidentally helped free The End despite Knuckles and Sage’s suspensions. If his friends, Eggman, and Sage didn’t help him…..Well, it’s in the villain's name.
Side Note: In Secret Rings, Black night, and Frontiers Sonic was rude at points.
Sonic Sassiness
Sonic Sassiness Part 2
Sonic’s Overall Flaws/Mistakes
Some may be from his general characterizations throughout his history.
Sonic rushes into things without a second thought. (Impulsiveness) Sonic can be too reckless, brash, or not take situations seriously.
He’s impatient. (Which was his core trait since his idle animation in Sonic 1)
He doesn’t listen to his friends warnings. Sonic can be too cocky at the wrong moments. He causes or contributes to world ending consequences. The blue blur can also be too trusting and naive.

Sonic doesn’t worry about his own physical or mental state and internalizes his emotions. He isn’t able to express himself very well. Therefore doesn’t put the right words together when speaking sometimes.

Sonic can be stubborn and a bit of a jerk.
Sage: “You are short tempered and short sided.”
And that’s about it. If I missed anything, feel free to let me know.
My Thoughts
A few of these can be seen as Sonic’s strength and weaknesses. Like his willingness to harm himself if it means to save his friends.
The reason Sonic never learns from his mistakes in the games is because he gets away with them. Which is not a good or bad thing per say. (Besides Sonic Riders. There’s no excuse for that.)
The stories never really given him an arc. But I don’t think Sonic’s a perfect or flawless character. If the examples I’ve shown are evidence of anything.
I’d say he’s static, but not consistently. Most static characters I’ve seen rarely stays static anyways.
I also don’t believe Sonic himself thinks he’s perfect. Sonic probably thinks he doesn’t have to change because he’s so sure he should be able to manage things without issue. Everything does eventually go his way. Why should he change?

I do understand Sonic influences people, but why can’t there be a balance? It’s been done plenty of times with other characters. In books, movies, and tv shows. Animated and live-action.
Movie!Sonic in Sonic 2 inspired both Knuckles and Tails. Helping them better themselves with advice and encouragement. While also going through his own arc of growing up and being responsible.
Tails:“You’ve inspired me. To leave my village. To find you and help you on your mission.”

Despite him learning how to slow down and plan things out, Prime!Sonic also inspires the different variants of his friends. Thorn, Dread, and Nine. Helping them grow into becoming better people.
Even in Unleashed Sonic was at his most mature, but it was only after his cocky attitude got him into trouble. So, yes. Inspirational characters can have flaws.
I’ll just say this
Everyone has their own views on how Sonic should be characterized, drawn, played, voiced, animated, and showcase.
It’s fine if you don’t like a curtain interpretation of a character, but to say the character (Especially if they weren’t very consistent in the first place) isn’t acting like themselves now, it’s really hard to argue what self there is to come back to. Because even in the games there are so many different selves for these characters in their own canon universe. From Classic to Adventure, Unleashed, Colors, and Frontiers. (If that makes any sense)
It’s hard to find one place to be in because Sonic’s been in too many places at once. He shouldn’t be held down to one characterization if he’s already been all over the place from the beginning of his existence.
AKA Sonic’s first two shows ever. TAOSTH and SATAM. In both shows Sonic had flaws as well, but never learned from them. Which means he’s been like this from the start. Like everything else about this franchise, his personality is an ongoing experiment that’ll probably never be solved. And I kind of love that. Even if it can be stressful and has it’s own up’s and down’s
All of these unique stories from the games, comics, tv shows, and movies people grew up with are what made this franchise so popular. This is the main reason I became a Sonic fan. Because I learned so much about characterization from this franchise and how to love the different variations of its characters. Finding an appreciation for each of them.
Conclusion

YOU KNOW WHAT???
TIME TO--
"Brothers' Night!"
Click, click, clack, tap.
The familiar sound of his little brother's typing sounded around the corner as Sonic rounded it and made his way into the lab. Tails was zoned completely into whatever he was working on, his eyes glued onto the screen, not even shifting as he tried to reach for his juice box and swiped at empty air twice before he found it and took a sip.
Stifling an amused grin, Sonic wandered closer and leaned an arm on the fox kit's head. "Whatcha doing?"
"Uh . . . making calculations and preparations for an upgrade on the Tornado's integrated drive generator. I want it to be a bit more durable in case of another crash."
"Ah." Sonic stared blankly at the screen, deciding to pretend he knew what that meant. He nudged Tails's shoulder. "Have you eaten today?"
It took Tails a moment to respond. "Yeah, I had lunch, I think."
"You think?"
"Uh huh." Tails started typing again, then squinted at the screen and zoomed in on something.
Sonic frowned thoughtfully.
"So did you hear what Amy and Cream were up to today?" he asked, trying to test something.
"Uh."
"They went camping out in some canyons last night, and they're out hiking today! Amy said we could join them next time!"
"Yeah."
Sonic grinned and shook his head, then glanced at the clock. It was past their normal dinnertime.
In the blink of an eye, he'd rushed off, readied up the living room with blankets, pillows, and a few small tables, then dashed back, scooped his brother into his arms even as he yelped, "Hey—!" ran back to the living room, and dumped him into the couch cushions.
"What gives?" Tails demanded, shaking his bangs out of his eyes. "I was in the middle of—"
"Nope!" Sonic interrupted, striking a pose atop the coffee table. "Break time, lil bro! Or should I say, brothers' night! Complete with a meal of your choice, storytime, board games, maybe a pillow fight, a sleepover, and no screens for the rest of the night!"
"Wh-What?" Tails stammered, looking somewhere between thrilled and horrified. "But what about the integr—"
"Tomorrow, bud!" Sonic hopped onto the couch next to Tails and dragged him in for a noogie. "You, little man, have spent way too much time working in front of screens today. Do you have any idea how bad that is for your eyes? This is an intervention!"
"I suppose . . ." Tails mumbled, but he was grinning. "We haven't done this in forever."
"Precisely why this is a perfect time to do it!" Sonic flipped off the couch and regained his pose on the table, even as Tails protested that he was going to dirty up his living room with the dirt from his shoes.
And so the evening progressed. Tails convinced Sonic to take his shoes off to spare all the blankets and pillows. Tails chose pasta for dinner, and they had mint ice cream for dessert (at least, Tails did; Sonic just had chocolate, since he was a bit sensitive to mint). They played an infuriating game of Monopoly that lasted two and a half hours. Tails won, and Sonic got his revenge by chucking a throw pillow at his brother's face.
It ended up escalating into a full blown pillow fight.
Somehow that turned into a karaoke battle, which then turned into a comedy show by Sonic with lots of sassy commentary from Tails. They made popcorn and stuffed themselves with far too much junk food, until 3 a.m. hit and they found themselves lying around half-buried in the mass of pillows and blankets, each getting more and more loopy as the conversation spiraled.
"Beef can't get sick," Tails found himself mumbling. "Dead meat doesn't get sick."
"I was talking about the possibility of cows turning into zombies, not contaminated lunch meat," Sonic muttered drowsily in response, breaking into a yawn.
"If the zombie cows die, do people still get turned into zombies if they eat them?" Tails asked, his voice muffled as he spoke into a pillow.
"I thought zombies don't die."
"Well, if someone blows them up in a bomb, they'd probably die."
"They'd be disintegrated. And then no one could eat them."
"Or they'd just turn into fiery zombies."
"I don't like zombies. Can we change the subject?"
"You started it."
"No, I was talking about . . . something else entirely. You just thought I said 'beef.'"
"What were you talking about before?"
". . . I forgot."
Slowly, they both lapsed into silence, until both had drifted off to sleep. They slept in till noon the next day, and even though cleanup took a while (neither of them remembered spilling half the popcorn into the couch), neither had any regrets.
Tails had forgotten just how much he loved Brothers' Night, but he was determined never to forget again. And he couldn't thank his big brother enough for dragging him away from his work to do it.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA Y'ALL THOUGHT I WAS DONE FOR THE DAY??? PSYCH!!!

I literally just whipped this up on the spot lol. I LOVE DE FLUFF!! Also the late night conversation about zombies and beef was heavily based off a near identical late night conversation I had with some friends at a sleepover a couple weeks ago 😋

The Ghosts as Superheroes
Sasappis aka “The Sassy Dreamer” - His power is telepathy and controlling people’s dreams. The Dreamer was the superhero name he had given himself, but people started to call him “Sassy Dreamer” due to his sarcasm and dark humor.
Pete Martino aka “Teleo Trooper” - His power is teleportation, giving him the ability to teleport to places with ease. He given himself the name “Teleo Trooper” for his power and his occupation, a Girl Scout Troop leader.
Alberta Haynes aka “Sonic Jazz” - Her power is sonic scream and her voice can be heard from a 1000 miles radius. Her most iconic use of her ability is singing to slow down or push away criminals. Jazz is her favorite music, hence why jazz is in her name.
Susan Montero aka “The Flower” - Her power is empathy which means she can feel and influence people’s emotions. Her most iconic use of her ability is making people go into a drugged-like state. Sometimes her ability goes both ways and she gets affected as well as the victim if she uses too much.
Thorfinn aka “The Squirrel Viking” - His power is electrokinesis, and he can control lighting and electricity. He gave himself the name “The Viking” but someone said the Squirrel Viking since he has a pet squirrel named Oskar (*cough cough* Sassappis), and since then the name stuck.
Isaac Higgintoot aka “The Revolutionary Historian” - His power is time travel and controlling time. He’s called the Historian for his love of history, specifically the American Revolution.
Hetty Woodstone aka “The Lady of the House” - Her power is mind control and make people do what she wants and desires. “The Lady of the House” is her given superhero name to show that she means business and never play by her.
Trevor Lefkowitz aka “The Banker Bro - His power is krpakinesis, which means cloth manipulation. He can create, shape and manipulate clothes of any material (cotton, plastic, leather, wool, etc.) or any flexible material consisting of natural or artificial fibers. He gave himself the name “The Banker Bro” because he wanted to be one.

Rouge SCU voice options
Though Rouge the Bat is yet to be confirmed if she'll appear in the Sonic Cinematic Universe, I already have a lot of possible theories on what direction they might take for her character. I plan to go into detail about that in another post. This post is about who could possibly play the seductive bat.
One of the most popular fan-casting options for Rouge so far has been Scarlett Johansson. Not only does her voice have a sexy and seductive quality to it, but she can also bring the tough, mysterious anti-heroine quality to her voice that she's known for. Plus, Scarlett can use her experience from playing Natasha Romanov/Black Widow to help her flesh-out all the traits of Rouge's character. From the femme fatale to the clever tough-as-nails spy, she can add a lot of depth to her character.
Though there have been rumours that Scarlett may play the role of Amy Rose in the Sonic Cinematic Universe, I personally don't believe these rumours. Personally, I feel Scarlett is a better fit for Rouge than Amy.
*Warning* - Mild course language:

Another popular fan-casting for Rouge is Angelina Jolie, who also has had plenty of experience as mysterious, seductive women and spy's who are more than capable of kicking butt.
*Warning* - Course language in comments and scenes are quite suggestive:

A plus for both of them is that they've both had experience in voice acting before, so they would more than capable of doing the role of Rouge justice.
One different option I was thinking of for Rouge's voice is the possibility of her being cast with a Latina actress. I'm not suggesting this option for the sake of making her a Spicy Latina stereotype, I got the idea after learning these three facts:
According to Sonic designer, Takashi Iizuka, Rouge's design was based off several Latin-American women, including actress/singer, Jennifer Lopez. Considering the basis for her design, I wonder if would be appropriate to therefore have a Latin-American actress play her the Sonic Cinematic Universe as a hint to her design's inspiration. As long as they do it tastefully and not as an offensive stereotype.
There was a meme in the Sonic Prime TV series that was adapted into Sonic 3 that says Shadow has a thing for Latina's. Though the concept was later dropped from the final film, Knuckles also admitted to enjoying telenovelas (which he then later denied). Personally, I hope they keep this fact as canon in later films. While the joke was more about what kind of shows he likes to watch, my head canon is that he also finds Latin-American women attractive (especially if they're strong, feisty ones). Considering, the fanon love-triangle between Rouge, Knuckles and Shadow (Sonic X confirmed Rouge and Knuckles as somewhat canon, while other Sonic sources have suggested Rouge's attraction to both Knuckles and Shadow), I think Rouge being voiced by a Latin American actress could really sell the idea of both Knuckles and Shadow being as attracted to Rouge as she apparently is to them.

3. Considering they've done something different with Knuckles' voice in having him voiced by the deep voiced English actor, Idris Elba, the idea of them doing something different with Rouge's voice and accent could also be a daring and fun opportunity.
Latina actresses who could play the part of Rouge:
Considering she was the source of inspiration to Rouge's design; I have to suggest Jennifer Lopez as option for her.
J.Lo is certainly no stranger to voice acting, considering her work in DreamWorks Animated films, Antz and Home. Though her most famous voice role, which probably best captures Rouge's strength and sassy personality is most definitely Shira from the Ice Age franchise. Shira and Diego's belligerent sexual tension is certainly similar to Rouge and Knuckles.
youtube
Other actresses who could do the role justice could be Penélope Cruz who plays the tough, sassy and sexy guinea pig spy, Juarez in the movie G-Force.
youtube
Another good choice could be Salma Hayek who is known for playing the sly, seductive thief, Kitty Softpaws in the Puss in Boots films. Kitty's flirting with Puss certainly reminds me a lot of Rouge's flirtation with both Shadow and Knuckles.
youtube
Both of these lovely ladies have acted together in the movie Bandidas. Penelope's voice is higher while Salma's voice is deeper. Rouge's voice has differed between high and low depending on the actress but always has a sultry vibe to it.
youtube
While I would like a new celebrity voice for Rouge, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have one of her past voices returns. My personal favourites are Kathleen Delaney and Karen Strassman.
Past voices of Rouge the Bat:

I'd love to hear your thoughts for who you think should voice Rouge in the SCU. Please vote here and/or comment below personal choices.

As a Sonic fan since as far back as i can remember, i don't care for the Sonic Movies. I didn't mind at first but learning that Paramount is Pro-Israel made me rethink a lot of Sonic's character in those movies. Sonic is one of my favorite characters in the franchise (along with Amy) so i can be particular about how Sonic is portrayed (i don't like IDW Sonic). I don't mind different takes but if you don't get him right where it counts i'm gonna complain. I also don't like Knuckles at all in the movies and Tails feels unbelievably tacked on.
I can understand that. I do like... well, Sonic 2, specifically. I think that one has more good than bad, though I'm less fond of Sonic 1 and the Knux show. But I do have my beefs with all of them.
Like. I love Jim Carrey's Eggman, but he's also definitely more Jim Carrey than Eggman. He's very entertaining, somehow managing to be even more of a cartoon character than the CGI anthro protagonists.
Knux is... complicated? Like. I think there's a lot of pushback in the Sonic environment right now against the idea of Knuckles as a dim-witted brute, because that was a popular portrayal for a while. Sonic Boom comes immediately to mind.
Sonic Movie Knux was hailed as a brilliant portrayal because they didn't play him as stupid, but instead focused on him as a proud warrior clan type. But also... they kinda did play him as stupid? It's just that they were making "Knux doesn't get it because of culture shock" jokes instead of "Knux is just stupid" jokes. Which is really just a different angle on the same thing.
I think Idris Elba's performance carried a lot of his reception. Also that a lot of his stupid moments are funny. But. Like. The complaint was never that he wasn't funny. Boom Knuckles is funny too. It still sucks to see him reduced to a comical goon.
Contrast his portrayal in Frontiers. Frontiers Knuckles actually gets to express his knowledge and expertise. He talks at length about Angel Island history and architecture, comparing them to the current environment; Things that would reasonably be within his field of expertise.
And then there's Tom....
...
...
...existing, honestly? I don't like Tom. He's here because Paramount has no faith in the Sonic IP to carry a film and thinks the audience really wants to see a relatable self-insert in order to be invested in the film.
You're not really supposed to be rooting for Sonic as "the protagonist". You're supposed to be rooting for Sonic as "my kid". The films are made from the P.O.V. of cheering from the stands while your ten-year-old hits a home run in his Little League game. You're meant to be proud of Sonic, not to relate to Sonic.
Which kinda sucks by itself but also the guy they think is a relatable self-insert to project onto? Is a smug white rural cop who yearns to be a Big City Police Officer and has conspicuously unexplored drama with his wife's sister.
Like, Rachel violently despises him for reasons that the films refuse to examine, because they just want to use her to make Sassy Black Woman jokes. And haven't really thought through how it looks when Maddie is married to a fucking cop that her sister ambiguously but firmly insists is the scum of the earth. The implications there went straight over the filmmakers' heads.
It's all just... There's a lot. They made bad decisions with Sonic 1 but managed to find enough success at the box office to justify sequels, and now those bad decisions are baked in. Paramount thinks that's what people want to see. They think people want a Knuckles series that's about another white cop with an alleged heart of gold battling the feds and confronting his personal family drama, guest-starring Knuckles the Echidna.
I like the movies enough to check them out. The second one was a fine enough "Turn your brain off and just look at the lights and sounds" film. I actually had a blast with the "Maddie and Rachel beat the shit out of a bunch of cops" scene that everyone hates. The fights between Sonic and Knux were a lot of fun. Carreyman and Stone steal every scene they're in.
But it is all very not-Sonic.
