Last night, I noticed that my throat was getting sore. When I woke up today, my throat was still sore, and I had a slight cough and felt fatigued. I mentioned this to my coworker, and she said she was feeling the same way. Both of us looked at each other with concern. Our store manager recently recovered from COVID-19, so now both my coworker and I are worried that we might be sick with COVID-19.
I feel anxious around sick people, especially after contracting COVID-19 in late spring of 2022. I have an immune-compromised parent at home, but luckily, they haven't contracted the virus.
When I finished work, I went home and took a test. The results came back negative 15 minutes later. I was able to get an appointment at my clinic and the doctor saw me for an examination. A strep test was done, which also came back negative. The doctor suggested that I should drink more water, increase my intake of vitamin C and vitamin D3, and avoid sugar, as it can suppress the immune system.
After my appointment, I made myself a spicy chicken Caesar salad and had some sparkling water. Then I went to my room and watched the gameplay of COD: MW2 and The Rookie before going to get the mail and receive my new IPSY order. Later, I made myself a peach chamomile tea with fresh lemon juice and honey.
