Welcome to Summer Saturday in the Chill Valicer Save, where my original plan was to do a "store day," but like so many plans, it didn’t survive contact with “the enemy” (aka me getting distracted trying to get through a bunch of other stuff in the game). But the trio did still get out and about, and they did still have a good Summer Saturday.
But we'll get to that in a minute, because first – house update! Yes, before I started playing, I made a few updates to the gang's house, and I am here to share them with you. So here we go –
-->After doing a quick check of my mods (couple of things to update from Lumpinou) and making back-ups and all that other fun stuff, I popped into the game, looked at the crafting barn, and went “well, I can’t figure out how to add a basement to the MAIN HOUSE, but HERE…” So I drew out a room under it, added some nice slat stairs with one of the new Horse Ranch railings going down (under the ones going up to Smiler’s party barn area), gave it a solid wooden floor and some nice stone walls (also both from Horse Ranch – that pack has some solid Build/Buy stuff, I must say), sold the woodworking bench that got kicked into the household inventory when I added in the new stairs (I wasn’t using it anyhow, honestly – Alice’s jewelry-making bench is now in its place) and voila – one barn basement! It’s rather sparsely furnished at the moment – kind of hard to furnish a room when you don’t have any working lights in it (the farmhouse is set up so the lights only go on when someone is in the room to conserve power, and my attempt to get Victor to turn on the ceiling lights I scattered in there only worked until I actually moved an object in there, whereupon they went right out again), but I also wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to put down there, beyond the nectar maker and a few nectar storage racks to help with aging. Ended up moving Victor’s cauldron down there as well, since that way I could free up the middle of the barn again – I could move the SimsCo canning factory down there too, I suppose, and make it for food and drink production? Kind of like the basement processing center at the store? I will ponder this. But yeah, currently what’s down there is the nectar-maker, the nectar storage racks (with the nectar Smiler’s already made inside one), Victor’s cauldron (and the cool stone circle underneath), and the yellow couch from the back porch. Why is THAT down there, you ask?
-->Well, because I ended up putting their new chess table in its spot! :D Yes, remember how Smiler actually successfully hosted a gold-tier Weenie Roast over in Copperdale last update, and thus got a nice wooden chess table (the one where the top is a partially-unfinished slice of a log) as a reward? I decided that it should go on the back porch because that’s where the chess lights were. :) I used the special camping chair (the one with the fish pattern) that they unlocked with their Silver Weenie Roast a while back for the seats, then moved the VIP bucket that was sitting on the side table next to the couch over to the counters by the barbecue, and the candy jar that was on that counter over to the side table. Because that felt more logical now. :P I also ended up moving the cooler they got for the original Weenie Roast here at the house over to the porch near the barbecue as well, then deleted the campfire in the yard entirely. Because they don’t really use it, and thanks to fun with “Simple Living,” they can’t even use it to roast weenies. *shakehead* I love that lot challenge but it comes with some BIZARRE restrictions.
I also BRIEFLY experimented with pulling the porch forward so I could make the kitchen a bit wider, in an attempt to fit more stuff into it – but then I realized “oh shit, that means I’m going to have to pull out the side of the house upstairs too, and that is going to be a whole thing and – yeah, that’s more than I want to deal with right now.” So everything went back to the way it was before. *sigh* Damn kitchen restrictions – though I suppose I could try widening it the OTHER way? Be a little less of a ballache, and all it would do is make the spot for the pet obstacle course a bit smaller, and they don’t use that much…we’ll see what I decide later!
-->And the final bit of Build/Buy fun before I started the playsession proper – getting a sign for the farm! :D Because while I was going through all the Horse Ranch stuff, vaguely looking for anything relating to mini-sheep/goats (I thought they had a special bed or something like how chickens have coops and cows and llamas have sheds – appears not), I suddenly remembered this pack came with ranch entrance signs and that I’d wanted to put one over the front path to the Van Liddelton farmhouse. So I found the one whose aesthetic matched the farmhouse the best and plopped it over the front path, then decorated it with some metal signs for a cow, a chicken, a cowplant, and a freezer bunny. Oh, and a longhorn skull for the center. XD It looked really cool –
But while I was looking for those entrance signs, I found ANOTHER beautiful entrance archway that was included with the pack, made of wooden beams with flowers (I believe morning glories) and string lights wrapped around it. I was like “!!! I can’t NOT use this,” but at the same time, I really wanted the “official” sign –
And then I decided “screw it, I’ll put this in front of the greenhouse.” So that’s what I did, moving over the wheelbarrow with the gnome and the little cart currently there and putting the new archway in front of the door, with the dark wood and yellow flowers since I liked that swatch best. :) It looks really nice! I like it as an extra bit of detailing for the front. Lots of good stuff in this pack, glad I got it!
#sims 4#the lazy save#victor van dort#alice liddell#smiler always#the gang now has a basement! Good for them#I'm glad that I thought of adding one to the barn rather than the main house#I had NO IDEA where the entrance was going to be if I put in the main house#other than where the laundry nook currently is under the stairs to the second floor#but I rather like that laundry nook there sooo#it all worked out#in fact it works out better than it currently does#because in a future update you'll get to see that basement PROPERLY decorated XD#but for this particular update it's just kinda there#works for Smiler's nectar-making purposes though!#and yes while I may not actually be interested in getting the gang a horse#I am now glad I bought the pack just for the damn Build/Buy#good floors and walls#and those archways are great#I really wanted the gang to have a sign proclaiming this to be their farm#and I was even more delighted when I discovered I COULD officially name it 'Van Liddelton Farm' :D#yaaaay#and that other arch in front of the greenhouse?#oh that's beautiful love it :D#glad I was able to incorporate it into their home!#they deserve a pretty arch covered in pretty lights and flowers :)#queued

❤ Version 8.0 Fleuralia Save File ❤
Download link down below (please read entire post before installing)
This save file uses all EP’s, GP’s, SP’s and most of the kits (Except Sweet Slumber Party, Cozy Kitsch, Urban Homage, Goth Galore, Grunge Revival, Carnaval Streetwear and Modern Menswear kits).
What’s new in this update?:
Ciudad Enamorada and Ravenwood have been completely redone, added multiple new lots, updated other lots and provided make-overs for the households.
Added new households (when living in world; with jobs, friends, preferences etc).
Current Status of Worlds:
Finished worlds: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade, Windenburg, San Myshuno, Forgotten Hollow, Brindleton Bay, Del Sol Valley, StrangerVille, Glimmerbrook, Sulani, Britechester , Evergreen Harbor, Mt. Komorebi, Henford-on-Bagley, Tartosa, Moonwood Mill, Copperdale, San Sequoia, Chestnut Ridge, Tomarang, Ciudad Enamorada (NEW!) and Ravenwood (NEW!).
Finished vacation worlds: Granite Falls and Selvadorada.
Finihed other lots: Hospital, Science Lab and the Police Station.
To be updated: the Magic Realm and Grimm's office, will either be included in a future update or on the gallery (OriginID: fleuralia)
What do you get with this save?:
For my save file all lots are either completely new builds (almost all) or renovations, ofcourse created by me. Exception: I have added the official build for the release of the Paranormal SP by Dr Ashley to this save. This build is therefore not my own creation, credits are given in the description to Dr Ashley. The lots in newer worlds are largely created by GameChangers. The ratio is around 50/50 with my builds versus renovations (done by me but with the original as the base).
All the townies had make-overs plus I added new families to spice it up a bit. Some of the townies are made by other creators, who are given credits in the description of the household. All the townies in the different worlds have a story, some include sentiments and adjusted relationships to the story.
Added plenty of community lots to give your Sims something to do (YAY!). Almost every world has one restaurant, but it also includes festivals that represent the four seasons (park lots) and a fully functional shopping street in Magnolia Promenade (toy store, bridal store and more).
I have added rental lots so you can go on vacation in more worlds. For example in Sulani, Willow Creek and Windenburg.
Other details:
As mentioned at the beginning, this save uses almost all packs (except some kits). This means that if you download it without owning or installing most of the packs a lot of objects will disappear from the save, but if you are not bothered by this you can still download and play in it.
I disabled the neigborhood action plan voting/environmental changes, you enable them again in the pack settings menu. I also disabled the neigborhood stories, you can enable them again in the household menu.
I would love to add some households in this save created by all of you! Add your household under the hashtag #fleuraliatownies in The Sims 4 Gallery, you can add a storyline and world in the description but thats not obligatory. If I respond on your creation it means that I have incorporated it in the save for the next update.
Sadly every game update comes with a lot of bugs. I suggest before reporting problems in the save to me, to check on forums if its related to a general bug/glitch or to mods (if you use them).
Questions and supportive feedback are always welcome, you can reach me here via a comment on this post, an ask or through a DM 😁
As said in my previous post I will be slowly starting on moving the builds and sims to a fresh save to help with bugs and incorporate fixes from the Sims team that only work in fresh saves (like Grimm not being able to woohoo). But this will take me some time, when its nearly done I will update on here as always.
How to make it work in your game:
Download the save file from the link below.
Drag it in your saves folder under: PC/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves.
Change the numbers if you already have a save with the same name.
It should now show up in your game as: Fleuralia Save V 8.0.
DOWNLOAD (SFS) / Alternate (GD)
!!Don’t re-upload or claim as your own!!
Future updates will follow after each pack release (if it includes a world). The time the update will be uploaded after each release depends on how much I have to change and on my work schedule around that time.
Last but not least, enjoy and till next time! XX

Here's this lighting mod I cobbled together, up for public consumption for anyone who might want to give it a try. It's a "default" lighting mod, which means it will affect all worlds in all saves that are in the same game folder as the lighting mod, except for the dystopian/utopian futures in Oasis Landing. So, if you use a custom or EA world that includes special lighting that you like, you don't want to use this in that game folder because it will replace that lighting.
Before I start babbling, here's the download link upfront.
There are two versions included in the download. One file includes default replacements for the clouds, sun, sun halo, moon halo, and stars. Then there's a folder that contains two separate files, the lighting mod by itself and the default sky objects by itself, in case you don't want the clouds, stars, etc that you see in the pics and just want the lighting mod. (Or if you don't want the lighting mod but do want the sky objects, I guess!) The pics all use the "combined" version, but you can install only what you want, if that's more your cuppa.
This mod's "base" is Burntwaffles's Dream Dimension lighting mod, specifically version 2.5 with Lucky Palms water and no auroras, except that I changed the sunrise/sunset times back to the standard 6AM/6PM because I use NRaas Retuner to create appropriate seasonal sunrise/sunset offsets instead. It still has Lucky Palms's water, both because it's my favorite and because I don't know how to change it, but pretty much everything else has been altered at least slightly, from slightly brightening and color-adjusting the color ramps to mucking around with light angles and distance fog settings. So, not too much is left of Dream Dimension except the basic colors, but it's still at its core. I also looked at lighting mods made by @boringbones and @gruesim and compared the values they contain to Dream Dimension's values. None of the values I ultimately used are from any of those mods but they were all guidance that helped me to pinpoint values to change to get the look I wanted, so credit to those creators.
My goals for the mod, all of which I more or less accomplished, were:
1) Less-intense shadows, mostly in order to reduce harsh shadows on sims, especially in outdoor lighting, as well as too-dark bits of building exteriors, like covered porches and recessed entryways.
2) Desaturated but bright colors with less contrast, because my old eyes don't tolerate saturated colors and high contrast for long. Somehow, EA's lighting manages to be both very color-saturated and dark and often dismal at the same time. Meanwhile, most lighting mods are too bright and/or too saturated for my likings. I wanted less saturated but brighter, which seems to be a rare combination. Dream Dimension is already desaturated, which is why I like it, but I increased the brightness and warmth a bit on the color ramps because it could also be a bit too dark and "cold," in my opinion.
3) Improved natural-daylight indoor lighting. I somewhat accomplished this one, though there are still issues like too-dark ceilings and some too-bright walls, which I don't think are fixable with just a lighting mod. However, lowering the light angles seems to make the EA windows with fixed lighting (that mod is linked behind the cut) work better and gives pretty good results, which you can especially see in the WIP pics I've posted, since I didn't include a lot of interior pics on this post. I can make no promises about this issue on lots with custom windows, however.
4) Dark but not unrealistically black nights, including darker ground level lighting at night. Dream Dimension already had this, but I lowered the contrast so it's not so hard on the eyes and also made it a little bit brighter so that if you've got your sims in an unlit area far from from any artificial light sources, you can still see what they're doing. It also doesn't have the obnoxious blue tint that EA night lighting has.
Like the WIP pics I posted here, here , here, and here, the above pics have no Reshade or Photoshop editing applied to them at all, other than cropping/resizing in Photoshop. They are all taken in various EA worlds instead of all in my rebuild of Meadow Glen, as all the WIP pics I've posted have been. They are best viewed at full size, and I think they give a good representation of what the thing looks like, including flaws, assuming that you use the same appearance-improving stuff that I use on a decent-enough machine to run all this crap and still be able to play the game. I have tried to be thorough and transparent about my machine's specs and the other mods and stuff that I use that contribute to what my "naked" game looks like. That's all behind the cut.
The WIP pics I've posted have a larger sun and moon than you will get from the mod as uploaded. You can see the "included" sun/moon sizes in the above pics. I like those things to be larger, so my personal copy of the mod has larger sun/moon sizes, but I figured other people mostly wouldn't like that. The mod as uploaded has I believe slightly larger-than-EA values for those things, but not ridiculously-large like I like. As uploaded, there is also no sun halo, which to me results in a sun that looks like a ping-pong ball floating in the sky, but whatever.
I was going to write up and include instructions on how to mess with sun/moon sizes and other things in this post, including how to "reactivate" Burntwaffles's "auroras" if you want them. (Those are really just colored clouds, though; I prefer to use this mod for auroras, and it is shown in one of the pics above.) But I've decided to do all that in a separate post or two at a later time because probably no one will read this massive wall of text as it is. :)
For the sky objects replacement: They began life as parts of @wasset-asekara's "Enchanted Environment" mod, but I have edited them over the years. I don't remember all that I have done, but I do know that I edited @nilxis's clouds a bit and put that in there, and that the stars are an edit of ShojoAngel's starfield because I like its gazillions of tiny stars better than EA's sparse field of large globs that are apparently supposed to be stars. (One day I will make my own starfield from scratch that's more of a "happy medium" between those two, but that day hasn't arrived yet. LOL ) I'm pretty sure I didn't edit Wasset's sun halo, though, and it's included. You can see it in this pic, but as I said the uploaded mod has the sun halo size set to zero, so it will not appear unless you go in and fiddle with the sun and sun halo sizes yourself. As I said, I'll make a separate post about how to do that, if you don't already know.
And now for the section where I'll list my computer's relevant specs, mods that I use, and other stuff I have installed that affect how my game looks, for transparency's sake and so that you can get some of this stuff if you don't already have it…
My computer's relevant specs:
Core i9 "Rocket Lake" processor (The one before the Alder Lake one that requires a patch for TS3 to work right). It runs at 3.5GHz
64GB of RAM
The game and all CC is installed on an M.2 SSD
16GB RTX 4060Ti GPU
So, it's pretty high-spec. If your machine is lower-spec, I can't guarantee that this lighting mod plus all the other crap that most serious TS3 players use will result in a good gameplay experience. On the other hand, lighting mods aren't resource-intensive by themselves. They are literally just numbers and a handful of tiny images. It's just that people, myself included, tend to couple them with resource hogs like Reshade as well as appearance-improving mods and graphics rules and things, plus a mass of gameplay mods, and the cumulative result is one big resource drain. So, bear that in mind.
Mods:
More light through windows This fixes EA windows so that they work better and create more natural lighting. However, if you use a lot of custom windows that clone the unfixed LITE resource from EA windows, it will not help you at all.
Improved EA Lights Similar to the above, this fixes EA lamps and wall/ceiling lights and stuff so that they cast artificial light more realistically. It will also not help you if you use a lot of custom lights that clone the LITE resource of unfixed EA lights.
Fixed tileable item shaders This makes it so that lighting isn't weird on tiled bookshelves and sectional couches and stuff. Alas, it does not seem to fix uneven lighting on tiled windows. :( And, again, it fixes EA stuff, not custom stuff.
LazyDuchess's Sky Banding Fix It used to be that I used Reshade mostly to fix the gradient banding in the sky. With this fix plus this lighting mod, I can completely ditch Reshade, yay! (Of course you don't have to ditch Reshade; I just didn't personally use it much other than to deband and desaturate.)
Default replacement moon shown in the pics I use the Quartz color. You can use any replacement you want, of course. Or you can stick with the ugly EA moon.
NVIDIA Settings
Used for better antialiasing, the addition of ambient occlusion (which affects shadows), and a few other things. I listed the settings I use on this post. I imagine you can alter these settings if you use an AMD card, too, but I'm an NVIDIA girlie, so I don't know how you'd go about doing that. I'm sure there is info out there on the Intertubes, though! Bear in mind that many Reshade presets, if you use them, include better antialiasing and activating ambient occlusion, etc. via the various shaders used in the preset. Generally, you want either/or here, and I personally feel that NVIDIA settings give better results. However, with Reshade presets, you can disable individual shaders used for ambient occlusion and antialiasing and such to make them more compatible with NVIDIA settings.
A so-called "HQ mod."
Which isn't actually a mod at all but just edited graphics rules that change a few numbers so that the game uses higher-resolution images for stuff by default. This is necessary because, generally speaking, the game doesn't "know" that newer graphics cards that it doesn't natively recognize are capable of using larger textures, so it defaults to lower-resolution ones. If you haven't already done so, it's best to edit this yourself because graphics rules are rather machine-specific. General instructions on how to fart around with the graphics rules are here, and if you google around you'll find other tweaks that you can apply or not, as you choose. I personally edited mine for higher-resolution shadows and textures, both of which contribute to the pics of this lighting mod.
In-Game Graphics settings
All of mine are at maximum except for the game's native antialiasing (AKA "Edge Smoothing"), which is turned off since the NVIDIA settings handle that.
Various default-replacements.
The most obvious in the pics of this mod being @asabinsims "Project Renaissance" which default-replaces the textures for many of the game's trees, shrubs, and flowers. The "large" version is used in the pictures, but I use the "small" version for gameplay. Also, the sims in the pictures are using the default skin, eye, hair textures, and brow/facial hair replacements I use, but before the game "updated" them, they were briefly "wearing" the hideous Maxis stuff, and there were still no weird shadows and stuff on them.
Stuff that I don't have/use but that could possibly make this look even better:
LazyDuchess's Shader Framework and Tweaks LazyDuchess's Split-Level Lighting Fix (I don't use these only because, last time I tried to use them, I couldn't get the game to load with the shader framework installed, and the split-level fix just didn't work. But maybe it's time to try getting them to work again…)
And also: @katsujiiccfinds (But feel free NOT to reblog this, because it is a ridiculously massive post because of my thoroughness kink, and I would totally understand not wanting to pass that around. :) )

“You’re going to tell me you signed me up for the cult of Scientology, I assume,” You introduce yourself, shaking hands with the man next to Sunoo.
Once again, there is just one empty seat before Jake Sim walks in, out of breath. “Jungwon, please don’t tell me–” He notices you after he barges in, taking in your poised manner as you wait for him to continue. But he doesn’t. The words die on his tongue when he sees you and the same manager from last week's meeting.
“Please don’t tell me what?” Jungwon asks, raising an eyebrow as Jake sinks into the only chair left. The latter shakes his head, not wanting to elaborate any further.
Sunoo sits up, putting his hands together after he finishes the last sip of his drink. “Open up the files, ____.” He motions to the manila folder on the table, and with much confusion, you peel back the cover to find a neat stack of black and white articles.
Jungwon, who you can only assume is Jake’s manager, gets Jake to lean in and read what’s on the pages. “This,” he starts, spreading out the rest of the articles, “is every article in the past week with a negative outlook on whether or not the film will be up to par with the standards of the 2000’s.”
You scoff, eyes trailing over an article with your face as the cover. “Really? People hate me that much?” Your dry humor really only resonates with Sunoo, who sends you a look before trying to organize the flurry of papers.
“I doubt they’ll keep going,” Jake tries, fidgeting with his ring. Maybe his second rich person problem was figuring out how to get the media to like him again if the movie turns into a failure and he has to scour for another source of income.
“Unless I solve world hunger, I doubt the media will turn away from the wine scandal any time soon.” Jake considers dropping out and cutting his losses early with the way you comment on your impending future.
Jake’s manager shakes his head, closing the manila folder and essentially blocking it out before coming up with the worst possible plan in existence.
“You two can fake date. Then, no one will question your chemistry, because they’ll think you’re in love.”
There were only so many things you refused to do in your lifetime, but fake dating your co-star made it to the top of your list in record time.
You shook your head. “Absolutely not.” At least Jake could agree with one thing you said.
The silence almost turns awkward before Sunoo speaks up in agreement, ignoring you. “I like it, it’ll give them a chance to pretend to bond more. Plus, they’re both young and attractive, and Jake is a change of pace from all of her shitty ex-boyfriends.” If Jake still wanted to jump off a building after hearing their proposition, you’d unknowingly want to join him.
You cough in your arm, hiding the embarrassment of his last comment before nodding to look at the actor. “You think just because I’m dating someone, it’ll make the movie more watchable?”
Sunoo rolls his eyes. “I’d much rather watch a rom-com if it was confirmed that the actors found love on set. It’s a good story.”
Jungwon interjects. “Good publicity.”
The actor beside you finally speaks up. “And you want to start this arrangement…when?”
“As soon as possible,” your manager answers, and his response might be some of the worst news you’ve heard in a while. “Hear me out, ‘____ ____ and Jake Sim falling in love the moment they’re casted. It’s fate. They’ve been in love since the beginning. I have to see it, their chemistry will be so good.’ ”
Before you nor Jake are able to come up with a rebuttal, Jungwon adds, “I know both of you can act, and even despite this fake relationship, the movie will be good. But if you can get away from the negative thoughts surrounding the film’s pre-release, it’ll generate so much more hype around it.”
“Better for your conscience, ____. You don’t need angry Sunghoon fans sending you anymore death threats.” If Sunoo kept airing out your problems like that, you’d drag him out by the ear without any fake boyfriend in tow.
You really think about it, questioning if one PR stunt could get you out of the nepo baby ditch you’ve been trying to fight for years; it wasn’t even that you were bad at your job, your mother just never had anything nice to say to anyone. If anything, she was Hollywood’s actual mean girl.
“Fine.” You agree begrudgingly.
Jake on the other hand has no idea what he’s getting out of this. How does fake-dating a girl he’s never liked help his reputation at all?
Maybe it’s because he couldn’t find an answer to it, or maybe Jake was comfortable enough asking something so brash in public. “What the hell do I get out of it?”
You lean back in surprise, not used to hearing him so flustered by something. It was all your fault, Jake thinks as he once again pulls at his hair.
The room is silent as everyone’s gears turn. Jake puts his hands on both sides of the armchair, about to get up and pretend this failure of a ruse ever existed. “If there’s nothing, I’m-”
“Wait,” you cut him off, eyes still fixed on something as you think. It’s good for you, and mainly you. Jake has a good reputation, people love natural chemistry and love a cute couple even more, and your name would be in summer-y titles for the next two months if your scheme worked out. But him?
What could Jake Sim possibly want?
“You want money? Connections? An interview with Justin Beiber?” You try, spewing what every boy would want when they were 13.
Somehow, his head perks up when he hears his favorite celebrity’s name from your lips.
“You could do that?” He asks, bewildered.
“I thought you hated me for having a famous mom.” He stays silent.
“Look, you’re up and coming. If this movie does well, I’ll send a letter to the top producers in the industry and tell them about how stunning of a performance you gave.”
It’s a deal that’s extremely hard to pass on–hell, he’s literally getting paid to act in the movie anyways, so it’s not like he loses much if he says yes. But you’re snarky, and although you’re not outright rude, you never seem to be excited for anything, and Jake has no idea why the mood is so sour when he’s with you.
Whatever, it’s not like it’s real, anyways.
Jake shrugs and pinches his nose bridge momentarily before sighing. “Where do I sign?”
You thought that Jake had been oblivious to the whole thing as much as you were, but it seems like he knew about a hidden contract. Jungwon fishes out a crisp white sheet of paper from his bag. “You know me so well, and I didn’t even tell you anything,” and his response has you thinking that maybe the actor just knows his manager well.
Suddenly, the next year of your love life is signed and tucked away into two identical copies for Jungwon and Sunoo, before the two shake hands and smile. “I’m excited for how things will go,” your manager comments before you two leave.
The moment the door shuts behind you, you let out a long exhale, suddenly finding interest in your manicure.
“You’re annoying, Sunoo. But I don’t doubt you.”
The boy smiles and links arms with you, walking to the entrance of the studio building before you both catch wind of the paparazzi.
A swarm of reporters and cameras catch your casual outfit and sunglasses when you emerge with your manager behind you. Questions bombard you, and you hear amongst the commotion a few reporters who are desperate for their next article to feature you. ‘Is it true that you’ve hated Sunghoon for years?’ ‘What do you have to say about your new film?’ ‘Do you have anything to say about Jake Sim?’
You pause momentarily on the way to your car, reconsidering if you should answer any question. “Me and Sunghoon have never had a disagreement, and I know he appreciated the Prada we sent him a few weeks ago.” Smiling at the memory, you choose to answer a few more questions before you have to go. “As for the new film? I’m fairly excited. Me and my boyfriend are more than ready to be filmed together."
The gasps from the crowd leave you content as you slip into your car with Sunoo. “But don’t tell anyone I’m dating!” You yell out for good measure, knowing that by morning, everything will have changed.

I am so excited to be releasing my first sims 4 save-file!
This is version 1.0 which is a redo of Newcrest! There are also lots completed for Willow Creek, but that world is incomplete and will be updated in a future version.
Disclaimer: I own all of the DLC, and have used them throughout the builds and households. You can still download this without all of the DLC, but some items may be missing and need to be replaced. (I went back and forth on this, but ultimately my community said to just go for it).
No Mods/CC Required
There are 9 households living in Newcrest, with other households in Willow Creek and Not in World to populate the world.
For console players, all of the lots and households are available on the sims 4 gallery. My id: simgraze
The downtown area of Newcrest is very sims 3 inspired, with many of the buildings taking influence from Sunset Valley. You can find the Doo Peas Corporate building for all of your freelance sims to visit. Check out the Sunset Plaza shops, including a gym, grocery store, bookstore, and thrift store. Get political at Town Hall and meet Mayor Avanche, who may be engaged in a lively debate. Have drinks at Waylon's Sports Bar, or grab dinner at the Sims 3 Bistro, or the run-down diner next door.
With plenty of drama, and 3 lots ready for your sims to move into, Newcrest is a great place for sims of all ages who are looking for a fresh start.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my channel during this process, your love and comments on my update videos definitely encouraged me to keep going!
Also a big thank you to everyone who has submitted sims for me to use on the gallery <3
In terms of future updates, Willow Creek and San Myshuno are both in the works. I have no idea when they will be released, but I definitely want to release those updates at some point.
(Not Required, but what I use). The only mods that I recommend in terms of keeping sims in your neighborhood is Home Regions by Kuttoe. I like messing with my settings so that only sims from Willow Creek and Newcrest will populate my world.
The map override I am using by dershayan.
YouTube video showing more about the save-file.
If you end up playing in this save, I would love to see your screenshots, gameplay, etc. with #simgrazesavefile

~ Dragon x dragon 🐉🌸♀️ ~
🌸 finds 🐉's stack of architecture drafts, with the latest one being a blueprint for a place housing a hundred people.
🌸: "Oh what's this? Are you planning to build a hotel?"
🐉: "I am planning for our future."
🌸: "Really? That's a good idea! Especially to complement the plan you mentioned before. That you want to start opening up Briar Valley to tourists since it's one of the few places left in the world with such abundant nature and magic."
🐉: "No, I'm trying to build a separate castle for our children."
🌸: "Isn't this... Isn't this a bit lavish for one or two kids... And I'm sure you'd want them to live with us?"
🐉: "In case we have 100 children."
🌸: "What?"
🐉: "I've been seeing videos of this man named Little John building things for his and his wife's 100 children. His ideas are a bit shoddy and a rather unfit environment for a hundred children, but looking ahead and planning for the future is an important attitude to have."
🌸: "Hornton, just... Let's focus on Briar Valley's economics first, okay?"
🐉: "Children are good for an underpopulated country's future economy."
🌸: "Encourage immigrants."
🐉: "Even better having dragon manpower on top of that."
🌸: "Dragons need hundreds of years to mature."
🐉: "And we have thousands of years to live."
🌸: "This is not The Sims. I am not going to pop out an egg every ten years for the rest of my life, you--"
🐉: "Well during that time I myself might be able to find out a way to help--"
🌸: "Before that time, I'm going to divorce you."
The next day, he approaches her and proposes that he's fine with 50 children. They compromise and settle with 10 spaced out an average of once every 50 years at least.
Magicam reels... Architecture Magicam reels has started rotting his brain. He might start ordering shiploads of galvanized steel at this rate.

** My s/o showed me videos like these because he finds them funny af and it was funny af for me too because I thought of Malleus and his goal to single-handedly repopulate Briar Valley and save his species from extinction by rearing 100 children 😭

Sul sul!
It's time to get nostalgic.
With this update of my Sims (2000) world, you can revisit every lot and every household from the Sims 1 in an open world experience in the Sims 3! This addition adds the Magic Town and Vacation Island area's, making this a complete Sims 1 world, that includes every Sims 1 neighborhood.
I apologize for the long delay in releases this update for this Sims 3 world. My real life has gotten very hectic, so it's been hard to make time for this project. I hope it was worth the wait and that you'll enjoy reliving the Sims 1 in this Sims 3 world.

Special thanks to @bunnybananasims @virtual-hugs @madraynesims @melisanne19 @thesims1master @ohrudi on Tumblr and @OhBeeel and @Andr3sL0K0 on Twitter for helping me with beta testing! And Martine and Simsimillian at MTS for providing lovely terrain paints <3

Get the world + save file here:
SFS download
Google drive download
This world was made with every Sims 3 expansion pack (except for Into The Future), in addition the the High End Loft and Town Life stuff packs. You can install the world even if you do not own all of these packs. But the save file (which includes all of the premade sims, ghosts and some fixes) can only be played if you have all of these packs installed.

To everyone who has installed and played the previous version of my Sims (2000) world: to install this version, you'll need to uninstall the old one. If you have an active save file with the previous (1st) version of this world, please backup any households and builds you want to save to your library. Because that save file will probably become unplayable after installing the updated world file.
I have one little request… If you know any other long time simmers, please share this project with them. I would love it if as many people as possible get a chance to enjoy this nostalgic experience <3
Also, if you enjoy setting up high quality screenshots, I'd love to see them and use them to promote this world.

**NEW** The Princess Peach Challenge 🍄👑
Starter house on the gallery: @AhriOW
Hi there, royal builder! Welcome to the Princess Peach Challenge for The Sims 4! 🌟 In this magical adventure, you’ll guide Peach through her journey to build a castle, grow her kingdom, and prove she’s the ultimate boss princess! 💕 Each phase is packed with fun goals, storytelling, and some epic building moments. So, grab your crown and let’s get started! 👑🎮
🌟 Setup
Before Peach can start her royal quest, we’ve gotta set the stage!

😱 Phase 5: Kidnapping and Self-Rescue
Plot twist! A villain (cough Bowser cough 🐢🔥) disrupts Peach’s perfect life by taking over her castle! Peach must now rise to the challenge, prove her independence, and reclaim her kingdom on her own terms. 💪👸
🏚️ Kidnapping Setup:
Story Setup:
Create a rival Sim (your Bowser equivalent) with traits like Mean, Hot-Headed, or Kleptomaniac 🥴.
Move this rival into Peach’s castle (using Manage Households) and lock the lot for Peach—she’s officially kicked out! 🚫🏰.
Peach moves to a rundown micro-home (maximum 32 tiles) on a tiny lot. Use cheats to reduce her funds to 1,000 simoleons.
Living Situation:
Build her new tiny home with only the bare essentials:
1 bed, mini fridge, toilet, shower, and a cheap desk with a broken-looking computer 💻💔.
Castle Rules:
Peach may not return to the castle or interact with it until she completes her self-rescue goals.
✨ Goals to Escape and Reclaim the Castle:
🌟 Career Goals:
Maintain her Politician career and reach Level 10 while living in her tiny home.
💪 Fitness Goals:
Max the Fitness skill (Level 10)—Peach has to train to defeat her rival 🏋️♀️💥.
📚 Writing Goals:
Write and publish 1 motivational book about overcoming obstacles: The Princess Who Saved Herself ✨📖.
Earn 2,000 simoleons in royalties during this phase.
🤝 Social Goals:
Befriend 2 new Sims in her new neighborhood to show her resilience.
Meet Mario (add him to the neighborhood!) and fall in love 💕.
💰 Earnings Goals:
Save up 15,000 simoleons through work, writing, painting, or gardening to “fund her escape.”
🎉 Reclaiming the Castle:
Once Peach completes her goals, she can return to her castle! 🏰✨ Here’s what she needs to do to fully reclaim her kingdom:

Heir’s Bedroom: Ready for Daisy’s reign 🌼.
Banquet Hall: Lavishly furnished with chandeliers, a piano, and more 🎹.
Royal Garden: Includes a gazebo, fountain, and 10 Perfect-quality plants 🌷.
🎉 Farewell Celebration:
Before passing the crown to Daisy, Peach must host a Gold-Level Farewell Party to mark the end of her journey and the start of the heir’s! 🌟
Enjoy!!

Don't mind that grumpy person complaining on your post, I think that was way out of line from them. The members of the sims 2 community have been improving and building upon each other's work since the game was released. There are countless examples of CC or mods that one person initially created and others then went and tweaked it or added onto it or improved it in whatever ways. And especially with CC as old as this (where creators more often than not aren't even around anymore), I really think it's perfectly fine to tweak it. And your recolors are absolutely awesome by the way, I love them! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and all the other CC you've shared with us!

Hi, there.
First and foremost, thank you for this message. I was really thrown for a loop by my textures/mesh updates being received in such a way and my character being maligned in such a way, both through the text of the post and in the snarky tags for it, but there has really been quite an outpouring of support and though I was initially very upset, I've decided to chalk the whole incident up to a fundamental difference in opinions and maybe a bad day. In the future, if I decide to update old sets/meshes and/or update the textures of old sets/meshes, I will do so, and if I offer them for download, I will continue to not force anyone to download them.
It feels kind of wrong to respond to an ask without offering a download, so this is for you (and everyone else, but in honor of you), anon.
This is the Boho bed, hallway mirror, and modern fireplace by Comiko. Everything is functional and comes in its original colors/recolors + the bed also comes in Cluedo woods.
Files are compressorized and come with preview images so you can pick and choose which recolors you would like to keep. Remember to discard the images before moving the files to your downloads to save space.

Welcome to Summer Friday in the Chill Valicer Save! Where, as stated in the final post of the last update, we have the gang sending off summer with a party that has always given me trouble for some reason. Let's dive right into it --
-->I started with the gang bumming around the house, as they do late at night – Smiler and Victor in the barn by Victor's cauldron, and Alice upstairs sitting at Smiler’s computer (she HAD been working on her next book, but the interaction had canceled out when I loaded back in). Deciding to start off right with some sweetness, I had Smiler give Victor a nice shoulder rub to help work out the kinks from all his potion experimenting, while Alice got to pet Shadow before being sent out to have some zoomies to lower her burgeoning Fury. Though, of course, the minute she got outside, it started raining. *shakehead* Sorry, Alice! She did have her umbrella, though, and she seemed to enjoy her jog even despite the miserable weather. :)
-->As she was leaving, though, I spotted two things on the front porch – a visiting Lilith Vatore, and a VERY angry red specter! As I’d put Smiler on “making computer chips” duty again (gotta save up for that Servo!), I had Victor go and take care of both after emptying his cauldron of his experimental liquid. First, he gave the specter a potion of good fortune to calm it down – fortunately, the angry little blob was very happy with its gift and gave him a Specter Sip in return before vanishing. He then said hi to Lilith and got to know her a little bit (apparently she’s fond of the color brown) – I was planning on having him invite her in so Smiler could chat with her once they were done making their computer chip, but right after the “what’s your favorite color?” question, Lilith decided she was done hanging out and super-speeded away. XD Well, okay then! I didn’t really want to deal with visitors right now anyway. :p
-->With Lilith gone, I put Victor back on experimenting with potions (he had to learn a few more recipes for his Potion Purveyor aspiration), and had Smiler tune up both the gardening bots (I was GOING to have them make a cybernetic arm, but first they didn’t have enough salvage parts, and then I realized “wait, that will waste items I want for the Servo, never mind”). Alice arrived back from her zoomies as this was going on with much lower Fury, but I figured dropping it even further wouldn’t be a bad idea and sent her upstairs to meditate (with her arm glitched in the “permanently holding an umbrella” animation, annoyingly – I had to reset her later to get it to unkink). After all, the main thing I wanted to do in this playsession was to have Smiler throw a party to celebrate the end of summer! Once she was settled, I thus had them open the calendar and look at the parties available –
And while I was tempted by the kegger, I realized that the better, more seasonally-appropriate option would be to have Smiler retry The Dreaded Weenie Roast. They've done one of these before at the house, but only managed to get Silver because they weren't able to complete the main objective of roasting weenies (because, at that time, I didn't know the stupid campfire doesn’t work correctly on a lot with the “Simple Living” lot trait). Having increased my general store of knowledge, though, I now knew they could get a Gold rank if I just had the party off-lot. So I had them invite their friends Cletus, Aleah, Sara Scott, and Knox Greenburg, designate Victor as their “grill master,” and set up the shingdig to start at Totter Park in Copperdale at 5 PM. :) With that settled, I set about having them finish off their bot tune-ups –
-->Only for the house to start making spooky noises again and knock everyone out of their assigned activities. I was a bit annoyed at first –
But then I realized I had an OPPORTUNITY here. I immediately had Victor and Smiler use their teleports to get up to the séance room (Alice was already in there, as that’s where her mediation stool is), then had them and Alice light all the sacred candles I’d set up around the séance table while I extinguished the lights in the room. With everything in place, I had them all sit around the table –
And cue Victor leading a BOSS-looking group ceremony to increase the house’s spiritual serenity in the light of the sacred candles, the soul scraps on the side table, and the moon salt lamp on the bizarre idol shelf. :D It was really freaking cool –
So cool, in fact, that I ended up taking some video of it. I mean, I just couldn’t resist – and besides, it’s hard to properly capture the flickering house lights effect in a screenshot. Unfortunately, when I uploaded it to YouTube, it ended up being rather blurry (top quality is apparently 360p – what I get for using the in-game video capture tool!), but if you still want to watch it, you can do so here: A Valicer Seance. As per the previous, there is a bit of flickering from the house lights, but I don’t think it’s enough to cause anyone any problems. Especially with how blurry the damn video is. Enjoy what you can!
#sims 4#the lazy save#victor van dort#alice liddell#smiler always#yes despite the fact that my Weenie Roasts pretty much always go wonky#from people being unable to roast weenies to people getting set on fire to people getting goddamn abducted by aliens#I decided I had to try again in the spirit of the end of summer#seriously don't know why that party is so cursed for me#Sims team I demand an explanation#on the plus side it was good to see Victor successfully calm that specter with a potion#and even better to see the trio do that seance together lit by the sacred candles#it seriously looked so cool#I wish I could have captured a better video for you#but I think the screenshots still sell it pretty well#I am going to have to remember this for any future seance rooms I build#those sacred candles are PERFECT lighting#and I get a LOT of wraith wax from specters soooo#easy to replace! :P#queued

*OUTDATED NEW VERSION AVAILABLE HERE*
❤ Version 7.0 Fleuralia Save File ❤
Download link down below (please read entire post before installing)
This save file uses all EP’s, GP’s (not Journey to Batuu), SP’s and most of the kits (Country Kitchen, Blooming Rooms, Incheon Arrivals, Retro Fit, Industrial loft, Moonlight Chic, Little Campers, Pastel Pop, Everyday Clutter, Bathroom Clutter, Simtimates Collection, First Fits, Desert Luxe, Modern Luxe, Poolside Splash, Book Nook, Basement treasures, Greenhouse Haven, Pastel Pop and Bust the Dust).
What’s new in this update?:
Chestnut Ridge and Tomarang have been completely redone, added multiple new lots, updated other lots and provided make-overs for the households.
Added new households (when living in world; with jobs, friends, preferences etc).
Added rental lots in multiple other worlds outside of Tomarang (Brindleton Bay, Henford-on-Bagley, Britechester and more).
Spooky Fall Festival has been moved to Chestnut Ridge (bigger with haunted house ride). The old lot in Brindleton Bay has been changed into a cemetery.
Current Status of Worlds:
Finished worlds: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade, Windenburg, San Myshuno, Forgotten Hollow, Brindleton Bay, Del Sol Valley, StrangerVille, Glimmerbrook, Sulani, Britechester , Evergreen Harbor, Mt. Komorebi, Henford-on-Bagley, Tartosa, Moonwood Mill, Copperdale, San Sequoia, Chestnut Ridge (NEW!) and Tomarang (NEW!).
Finished vacation worlds: Granite Falls and Selvadorada.
Finihed other lots: Hospital, Science Lab and the Police Station.
To be updated: the Magic Realm, will either be included in a future update or on the gallery (OriginID: fleuralia)
What do you get with this save?:
For my save file all lots are either completely new builds (almost all) or renovations, ofcourse created by me. Exceptions: I have added the official builds for the releases of the Paranormal SP by Dr Ashley and the Dream Home Decorator GP by Deligracy to this save, since I thought they deserved a spot. These two are therefore not my own creations, credits are given in the description to Dr Ashley and Deligracy. Mt. Komorebi, Henford-on-Bagley, Tartosa, Moonwood Mill, Copperdale, San Sequoia and Chestnut Ridge lots are largely created by GameChangers. Most lots have gotten smaller updates, others are completely new builds by me.
As mentioned at the beginning, this save uses almost all packs (except Journey to Batuu and some kits). This means that if you download it without owning or installing most of the packs a lot of objects will disappear from the save, but if you are not bothered by this you can still download and play in it.
I disabled the autonomous fame gain and neigborhood action plan voting/environmental changes, you enable them again in the pack settings menu.
How to make it work in your game:
Download the save file from the link below.
Drag it in your saves folder under: PC/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves.
Change the numbers if you already have a save with the same name.
It should now show up in your game as: Fleuralia Save Version 7.0.
XX
