Scott cawthon (if this was his intention) trying to lower Evan's importance to the story because he was originally created to just be the kid who dreamt up the last 3 games and then Steel wool saying hell no and coming up with some shit to make Evan relevant again. mwah

*remembers what they did to Vanny* 500 FUCKING PIPEBOMB ATTACK.
#em.txt#WHY#how can you see the fucking absolute fire that is building up & go. 'yeah douse it. now bring back peepaw AGAIN'#BUILD HER UP 2 GAMES EARLY --- & THEN DO NOTHING!!!!!!!!? FUCK#WE CAN'T HAVE WOMEN DO THINGS IN FNAF I GUESS#the company's scop was too big & they developed the game seperately from the environment & made the environment above the game#cut playable vanessa sections. cut vanny appearances.#remove all the plot make vanessa a bitch throw in some invisible walls call it done. 30 dollars now please#security breach isn't just bad. it's not fucking done.#the thing normally with cut content is i can usually agree like 'okay this game cut this but that was a smart choice'#it can be better for time or budget & it can make for better writing.#for instance all the cut content in ahit is neat & as much as i like moonie it's smart to cut his character to build up other ones#& makes for a tighter story & less convoluted area that's more fun to play#when i look at the cut content for security breach their are obvious issues.#it's obvious the company's scope went too far. you built too big an environment. you built the environment before your game.#you prioritized a cool area to the point you expanded the mall from 1 story to 3. do you think that time could have been speant elsewhere#& the other problem is the insane fucking crunch that scott cawthon as a dev placed on himself & others to maintain relevancy#a single person locking themselves ina room for months to stay relevant is fucked. a game studio physically cannot do that.#you see shit in the prerelease like they wanted a bowling minigame a kart minigame a freeroam minigame etc#what about vanny? what did you want with this character? you clearly had something in mind#but we needed to cut it so we can fit in mazercise i fucking guess or chica's bakery or trash heap#here's what we have: less than 1 minute screentime. the 2 vanessa ending comic. that's it#oh wait i forgot. 'vanny. sounds like vanessa & bunny. this cabnot be a coincidence ' & THEN IT NEVER COMES UP AGAIN#princess quest used to be about that bitch in golden freddy you retconned it to be about vanessa SO DO SOMETHING WITH THAT#her whole shit is apparently in service to william afton. why isn't she in the afton fight at all#does she not know he's down there? is he unrelated? does she know she's working for the mimic? is she not working for him?#is she at all related to the fucking bunny from ruin or like what#what about the rainbow hair. what about her tech prowess. what about the cut missing kids only referenced in duffle bag messages now.#fuck you & fuck me as well why can't i be passionate about hvac systems#why's it gotta be this shittass gsme.

biting my lips and telling myself it took several years for rowling's TERF-y opinions to be so well known it damaged her public reputation, before realising that cawthon's donations to conservative politicians were made known while trump was still the fucking president

Fnaf movie notes, spoilers ahead:
First off, fuck Scott Cawthon, let's just say I didn't watch the movie in theaters or on a streaming service.
What I liked:
Matthew Lillard actually looks like William Afton
The "Talking in Your Sleep" cameo was the best one of the movie, next to "I have a theory"
Cory was funny, as expected
I liked how they made the animatronics just kids, they want a friend.
The way the animatronics moved was great, I just wish we could have gotten a foxy running scene.
The cinematography and set design inside the pizzeria was great, and everywhere outside felt very real.
The animatronics were cute when I was supposed to like them and foreboding when I was supposed to be scared of them. I don't know if they physically changed the suits but it works.
Mike's actor was actually pretty good at looking distressed or upset.
I just want to hug the animatronics they are so cute 🥺🥺
The animatronics weren't sadistic, when they killed someone it was because they were trying to get them out or away. Just like if an actual little kid had that power, they wouldn't be cruel or even want to kill anyone, they just don't understand their own power
There actually were five nights!
Springtrap wiping the knife is a reference to Scream, where Matthew Lillard played Ghostface, who is known for wiping their knife after using it.
BALLOON BOY
What I didn't like:
You're telling me they named their main character Mike and they didn't have Afton go "MIKE! MICHAEL!!! MICHAEL DON'T LEAVE ME HERE!!!!! *MICHAEL!*
Vanessa was a nothing burger, even when her motivation was revealed it wasn't that good. I think it would have been better if they set up that she was working with Afton
Golden Freddy was everywhere but they didn't namedrop the kid once, and it was so inconsistent. He's here, he's not here. I'm assuming it's a combination of Cassidy and the Crying Child.
Afton's connection to the story is flimsy. Why was he pretending to be Raglan? I'm assuming it's so he could get night guards to toy with, that's why the animatronics killed the intruders but not Mike.
It's kind of weird thinking about the logic of how Afton killed Mike's brother, and gave his daughter the plane. Just seems a little bit of a stretch.
Even though I hate excessive gore, I thought there wasn't half as much violence as there should have been. I guess the PG-13 rating constricted a lot.
It takes a broom to activate what I'm assuming is a Circus Baby reference springlock, but Afton can jump around in Spring Bonnie.
The only Purple Guy reference we got was a purple tie. They should have made the security vest purple.
Questions
How is the cupcake sentient?
How does Afton control the kids?
Who cleaned up the blood of the four intruders? I'm guessing Afton but I wish they'd made it more clear
Why didn't Afton send out the animatronics on the first night? Even if he wanted to kill Mike, he seems like the type to psychologically torture people beforehand.
Why was there an "it's me" note? I get the reference, but why? Is Mike's brother here?
What's the Freddy mask with the saws inside? I know Afton uses it to kill people but why does it exist?
Why does Balloon Boy exist? Do the toy animatronics exist in this universe??
Why doesn't foxy have a tail?????
Favourite character: Foxy
If we get a sequel I hope we only get one or two. I don't want a whole cinematic universe. Finding ways to watch 12 movies 'other ways' will get complicated.
Also when the casting was revealed, I didn't know who Matthew Lillard was and someone told me he played live action Shaggy, so I didn't know he played fuckin STU FROM SCREAM until I watched the movie, so another cameo technically, just only for me

Ayo wtf??!
I thought this was fake or some fan made game but I'm actually just finding out this is somewhat legit??
How on EARTH-
And "Don't forget the straight man" 😭😭😭 lmao which one??!
Okay I'm not even gonna question it at this point 😂 when it comes to them, anything is possible
I swear Horikoshi is about to turn into Scott Cawthon or some sh*t cause there ain't no way these are not hint bombs that they're dropping on us.
Cause you guys remember what Scott did with FNAF? It just started out as a game, but as the story got bigger and bigger and not exactly kid-friendly he instead started dropping hints in other games, books, novels, literally everywhere. And even though technically he "retired" and doesn't really control the content anymore, he still very much has an influence on everything that comes out and everything is still canon to the story even though it's technically not created by Scott Cawthon anymore.
So may I ask...wtf are you doing Horikoshi???
Because most mangas just end when the mangas end right? That's the story. The end. Nothing else to discuss. But like I guess MHA is a special case in every aspect. Maybe Hori is going towards the dropping hints style story, because there were a lot of things left unsolved right? Take Midoriya's Dad as an example. Or the fact that no one became canon, or more like Bkdk didn't become canon. So if we think about it in the Scott Cawthon sense, Scott started dropping hints partly because the content was really not on the PG-13 side anymore. So what if Hori decided not to make Bkdk canon because of the public backlash the manga would get? Cause let's admit it, there would be a LOT of haters if that happened. What if, instead of making them canon, he's just dropping hints now everywhere for us fans to figure it out?
That would be insane, but he wouldn't be the first person to do it. And yes, hints aren't exactly canon, these are all just theories...but they very much might be intentional, and that means something, right?
Anyway, here are some more stuff from the new update:
Tumblr media
De..Izuku
Man I love that they added that in there
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mhmmmmmm Suuure
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Hey..Izuku reference 😭😭😭 stop, you're hurting my heart
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WE'RE A TEAM I CAN'T-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Man I love how they're both so utterly hopeless when it comes to being romantic
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This feels like that scene from that one Memories episode..
Also I have a feeling if these two ever went on a date they'd just be training together 😭 and that would be the most romantic sh*t we'd ever see from them

It is normal to get a lot of weird asks.
I used to co-run freddyfactsblog, a decently big facts blog about the Five Nights At Freddy's games that has been inactive since February. It wasn't huge or anything, and its posts were very occasional. Yet, to this day, if I log into that account, there's still several daily asks with the randomest things.
Stuff ranging from vaguely related questions like "X game by Scott Cawthon (*creator of Freddy's in case you don't know) is bad, do you agree?", to blatant advertising like "Sorta Stupid just posted a new video, go watch it!", to incomprehensible baby gibberish like "If you don't swim every now and then, your muscles get numb to water and shower works less" or bullsh*t akin to that.
TL;DR: don't worry about it. There's a lot of weird people online.
Yeah, 'some people are indecipherable' is the only conclusion I can reach with some of the asks I get
Speaking of strange asks, I just got a spam ask about using a link to confirm your faith in God because otherwise you'd be left to rot in purgatory so watch out for that I guess

I find it very interesting that people despise Vanessa for threatening Mike but I’ve not even seen a single person mention that Mike beat a man to filth in a mall fountain in front of the guys son.
Not to say mikes an inherently bad person for that, he has trauma and he reacted to something that triggered it— it’s just kind of telling that the entire fandom not only immediately forgave, but also never actually considered criticizing him for violently attacking a man in the first place, but a lot of people refuse to even imagine liking a woman because she was kind of mean to their favorite sad little blorbo due to her own trauma flaring up.
Edit cuz I thought about it again: obviously the dynamic is a little different in each situation. While both Vanessa and Mike were employed in positions of physical power at the time of their fuckups, Vanessa was specifically using her job as a threat whereas Mike didn’t even think about using his power as a guard. They both did something extremely shitty and rash, but if Vanessa weren’t an officer I don’t think people would care as much. Mike did something more comparable to, like, “getting into a drunken fistfight at dennys.”
On the flip side, threatening a man who’s Going Through It is super shitty and I don’t wanna dismiss that, but Mike still physically assaulted a man, and it’s weird to me that the fandom seems to have just forgotten. They’re fictional characters so I think trying to hold them to the exact same standards as real people is a bit weird to me (they’re meant to convey a story, not be a paragon of morality, unless of course the story they’re conveying is about morality but I’ll leave that conversation to people who have more than two braincells) but if we’re gonna criticize Vanessa I feel like we should also criticize Mike a little too
(I will still say, I don’t think Vanessa ever had any intent of trying to even legally challenge him ((i.e. arrest him or charge him or something)) and if she actually wanted to scare Mike she could’ve threatened to take Abby away, something that she previously refused to do in the “dumping shit in the river” scene. Also a stupid move, please don’t throw pills in the river, but it was the year 2000 and she was raised by William Goddamn Afton it makes sense she’s a bit of a dumbass sometimes)
Ultimately I don’t hold it against anyone if they dislike Vanessa because of this scene (or if they dislike Vanessa, especially for being a cop, in general), I guess I’m more so hung up about the fact that if she were a man, less people would hate her. Criticism of her as an officer is fine, we should be shitting on cops, some of it just feels like an excuse to be borderline misogynistic. I dunno, i tend to focus on stupid details. fnaf is a really weird series and an even weirder fandom. can everyone stop writing cops as protagonists please
Edit 2: actually thinking about it more and I just feel. Gross. Defending a character who’s a cop. It’s almost worse that it’s not even relevant to the story, for all the importance it has, she could easily be a janitor with a knife or something and absolutely nothing would change. Eugh. Curse of being written by scott cawthon, I guess. Anyways. Sorry. I think the part of my brain saw a pathetic wet cat of a character who’s a woman this time and went stupid mode
(If anyone has any recommendations for characters with a similar vibe to Vanessa that ARENT part of an extremely shitty job please uh. Comment them)

Warning: disturbing imagery!
I recently had a Scott Cawthon moment. Meaning I had a nightmare about one of my own ocs. I decided to replicate the moment from my dream that really disturbed me the most and this was the result.
Tumblr media
Extra context for this drawing:
My actual concept for Seven was that they were part of a Quirk Farm. A place that gave birth to illegal and immoral methods of developing powerful quirk wielders.
I guess my dream decided that it wanted to take it a step further. This version of Seven was involved in a terrible experiment gone wrong and now stalks around the abandoned facility until a little Izuku stumbles upon some videos of subject “700” experiments he was never meant to see.
And then he realizes he’s not alone.

spoilers for MatPats final game theory
I am straight up embarrassed that I didn't recognize Scott, like during the scene of them driving I called it in my head that they must be going to see Scott Cawthon, who else could it be?
But then I saw him and, I think it was the glasses that threw me off, that and it seems like his voice has changed a whole lot sense the Dawko interview.
Also you guys think he bought that green suit just for this or did he just have a green suit laying around for something else?
guess this disproves my theory that Scott is actually an elaborate series of cardboard cutouts
In summary, I got Clark Kent-ed by Scott Cawthon

SCOTT HAS JUST CONFIRMED TALESGAMES AND STICHLINEGAMES ARE CANON
Tumblr media
people in the replies said the same thing but this is a classic way of scott cawthon either dodging the question or saying 'its up to interpretation, you get to choose'. i dont think that statement applies though because like. there are literally some canon books in TFTP that arent apart of a special (clearly canon) epilogue line and the epilogues in FF like. are kinda impossible to work in universe. so my guess is dodging the question

the internet does not forget Scott
THANK YOU COMRADE!
LINK
here is the archive of scott's political donations, which have since been removed from opensecrets.org. this is very recent, since the records were still publicly searchable and viewable as of at least 8/7/2024
from a very quick cursory search, political donations dont seem to fall under protected "public record" kept by the government, but i could be wrong. if anyone knows more on this id love to learn about it. im guessing that he probably has enough money to bribe the website to remove his information. whats interesting is that this has just recently happened. why not back in june 3 years ago?

I do wonder how in-universe Scott Cawthon got all the information to make the games, considering Help Wanted establishes that he does that in-universe and all. Like… did Michael commission him to make the games somehow? I don’t know if there’s any timeline for when the games came out.
Maybe Michael and Jeremy had journals that Scott was able to see somehow? I do think that Jeremy at least had a journal since after the bite he wouldn’t properly remember? Then again, since Michael was most likely the night 7 protagonist, he could’ve talked to other people and made an educated guess.
Perhaps after FNaF 6 there was a yard sale of all of Michael’s old stuff and Scott stumbled upon the journals and decided to make the games.
But I do think it’s funnier if sometime between 3 and 6 Michael realized that William was still alive and was just kind of like “well, if fire won’t work, I’ll get a guy to make some sick games exposing you. Checkmate, bitch.”

so crazy 2 me that people just very quickly forgot about scott cawthon funding right wing politicians. I guess the people who cared just dropped fnaf then and there so you don't hear much anymore

Imagine if fnaf was on hiatus for 7 years and everyone kinda thought it was dead but did their best to keep the fandom alive anyway even though half the time any fan content they make is met with "lmfao i remember this game! Traumatised me as a kid XD its cool how literally no one cares about it anymore" and whenever anyone else brings it up on their own its to insult it for being cheap mascot horror even though it was one of the main things that started the trend that others are riding in the coat tails of
And then after a long LONG silence NFTs are announced and you think "oh there's no way these are official, he wouldn't do that, plus they look like shit" but then Scott Cawthon himself advertises them and you kinda wanna die but others are saying it'll help fund the next game so you try to see the silver lining even if it feels like your heart is getting pulled out and stomped on by big oil
And then months later. They start teasing something else. That actually looks like a fnaf game. And you freak out. And they slowly tease more and more until finally they release a trailer that they're collabing with poppy playtime and you think "ohhhhhh riding in the coat tails of cheap mascot horror" but you hope and pray it'll be good
And they do very little if anything to advertise it outside of the dwindling existing fnaf community and the biggest thing they do is a fanart contest which does set off ree flags but you don't say anything bc it could be fun you guess
And then the day of the collab happens and literally everything in the game was shown beforehand either via trailer or preview and its not fun and its one big ad for poppy playtime with the bare minimum of fnaf content in it so it didn't need to specify it was a #ad, and all the fnaf stuff is so against everything established by previous fnaf games that you don't know whether Scott just forgot after 7 years or if he doesn't care
That's kinda what we've been dealing with lately
