Anyways, welcome to an AU that’s been bouncing around my head for nearly a year now! It was inspired by @/chrisrin’s take on the MCYT x Persona series as well as @/scruffyturtle’s ACAU! Go check ‘em out!

Grian - “Ace” - The Sun Arcana - Lafayette/Eris

Grian is a college student working for a degree in architecture. He lives with in roommate Mumbo and does journalling and photography as a hobby. For some odd reason however, he can’t seem to remember anything about his past beyond simply going to college, doing a part time job, and spending time with his cousin and friends. This is because Grian isn’t really human. In this AU, the Watchers take the role of Yaldaboath, and created Grian to begin the mental shutdown cases to scare people into looking for someone to look towards. In this case, The Watcher Cult (Called the Pupils) for the Watchers to take control. During his creation, false memories were implanted in certain people in the Pupils for Grian to more seamlessly appear. But unbeknownst to them, the Velvet Room interfered and erased Grian’s memories of his purpose.

Anyways, onto the personas, Grian’s persona is Lafayette, a key figure in the American Revolutionary War and the French Revolution. In both wars, he was known to lead his armies in decisive battles of the war to secure their victory. Even today, he’s celebrated as a hero in both France and in the US. This fits in with canon Grian’s habit of rebelling against any governmental entity that’s in the Hermitcraft server (although he is currently the government) l

His Ultimate persona is Eris, the Greek goddess of chaos and strife. She was the instigator of the Trojan war, where she threw at apple at Aphrodite, Hera, and Athena. She stated that it was for the “fairest goddess” and one thing led to another, and several kingdoms are now at war with each other. Wow, starting a war for shits and giggles? That sounds like Grian!

Jimmy - “Sheriff” - The Fool Arcana - Black Bart/Baldr

Grian’s cousin and charmingly unlucky, Jimmy is often the target of teasing. He’s the one to egg Grian on to actually go to class instead of just doing the online assignments. He’s personally seeking a degree in education, and is a stickler for the rules he agrees with. Unbeknownst to him, he was a victim of the Pupils and one of the people that had false memories implanted in him. He’s extremely excited about being a phantom thief, but his joyous excitement will be tested through the story.

His Persona is Black Bart, an American Outlaw who is known for the poetic messages he left behind after two of his stagecoach robberies. He is considered a gentleman bandit with a flair for style and sophistication. He brandished a shotgun, but was noted to never fire it during his robberies. He was famed to the point there is an annual parade in Redwood Valley, California where there is a Black Bart Parade where he is played and portrayed as a stereotypical Old West Villain.

Anyways, Baldr is Jimmy’s Ultimate Persona. Baldr is a Norse god, and was well loved by everyone in the Aesir. He had a prophetic dream where everything is destroyed and gets terrified. His mother then makes everything in existence to personally promise her they won’t hurt him, rendering him near indestructible. But there was one thing that didn’t promise his mother; mistletoe. Loki kills Baldr when the other gods made a game where they throw countless weapons at the newly indestructible Baldr where he throws a spear made of mistletoe at him. He was the metaphorical “canary in the mine” due to his death being the first domino that trigger Ragnarok. Baldr only returns from the dead after Ragnarok throughly destroys everything.

Impulse - “Rook” - The Hierophant Arcana - Wayland/Hephaestus

Impulse owns a small prop weapons company where he forges and creates prop weapons in his own garage. He is coined the “dad” of the group, but would let a stupid scheme play out if he thinks it’s going to be funny. Unknown to anyone but his close friends (Skizz, Gem, and Pearl), but Impulse has a criminal record. He once worked under the one of the biggest mafia families in the country, and he was caught by the police after his teammates from the mafia abandoned him and used him to distract the cops. Ever since then, Impulse has been secretly trying to locate his former teammates to enact revenge on them.

Wayland is Impulse’s persona. Wayland was a blacksmith who was enslaved under a king. He had revenge on the king by killing both his sons and built wings to escape the king. Afterwards, he supplied weapons to several other people in myths and stories such as Charlemagne and his paladin as well as Beowulf as their weapons maker. Impulse is an advocate for burying the hatchet after using the hatchet to brutally destroy those who wronged him.

Impulse’s Ultimate Persona is Hephaestus, the Greek god of the forge and blacksmiths. After being thrown off Mount Olympus, he swore revenge on Hera. He enacted said revenge by trapping her on top of a golden throne that made her unable to get up. Not only in this story, but also in tales such as Aphrodite’s affair, he is noted to be very vengeful and will not yield unless his demands are reached.

Martyn - “Knave” - The Judgement Arcana - Atlantis/Judas

Martyn is a stagehand in the local theatre known for his friendly and amiable demeanour. However, under that cheery demeanour is a burning desire for revenge. Martyn’s parents were devout worshippers of the Watchers and worked under the Pupils. He was subjected to several grievances due to his parents volunteering him for the Pupil’s experiments and abuses. Ever since he’s escaped, he has focused on destroying the cult. He’s been working as a grey hat hacker to clients with varying levels of morality to get money and further his research on the cult.

Martyn is the navigator of the team with his persona Atlantis. Atlantis was a city that was sunk beneath the sea for being too greedy. It was noted to possess technology that surpassed the technology of times and even to this day, it’s still being searched for. The people were of divine descent, and lost their humility as they became more human after each generation.

Martyn’s ultimate persona is Judas. Judas was one of the original disciples for the Big J, and sold out him out for 30 pieces of silver. Martyn’s story in this AU revolves around his grudge against the Pupils and the Watchers, so his persona is someone who betrayed a religious figurehead.

Mumbo - “Vamp” - The Hermit Arcana - Galileo/Thoth

Mumbo is Grian’s roommate and a self proclaimed “spoon”. He is working towards a degree in Computer Science and is often found tinkering with old technology in his room, often to the point him and Grian step on loose screws and pieces of plastic on a weekly basis. Much like Jimmy, he had false memories of Grian implanted in him, which would come into conflict when the origins of Grian is revealed. This was because the main reason he joined the Phantom Thieves was out of concern for Grian. According to him, the day he turned 18 is when his signature moustache just grew spontaneously.

Mumbo’s persona is Galileo, the father of modern science and the scientific method. His studies were considered blasphemous against the church and he was sentenced to house arrest. Even though he was imprisoned, he still had faith in his discoveries and continued his studies within the confines of his house,

His Ultimate Persona is Thoth, the Egyptian God of the moon, wisdom, knowledge, writing, hieroglyphs, and judgement. He’s associated with Hermes and due to the connection, created the epithet Trismegestus. He is someone who solves his issues with diplomacy and reason instead of pure power and strength.

The Fool and Strength (i.e. Igor & Caroline/Justine/Lavenza) are the same. Otherwise, everyone's changed.

The World (i.e. Protagonist) is Tae Takemi!

Her parents were abusive shitheads to her, and she got into a program that helped her escape for Tokyo.

Her first Persona is Merit-Ptah, a fictitious woman purported to be a chief physician of an Ancient Egyptian pharaoh and thus one of the oldest known women in medicine and science.

The Magician is Sadamu Niijima (transmasc!Sae)!

The home invasion that killed Mr. Niijima also led to his death, but Igor came upon his soul and reincarnated him into a hound (because of Shadow Sae's tattoos) for The Yaldabaoth Game™.

His first Persona is Turiddu, a Sicilian bandit whose gang was "legally held responsible" for a massacre, although the entirely of their role in it is disputed.

The Priestess is Sadayo Kawakami!

She was a member of Student Council, but when she brought up Kamoshida's abuse to Principal Omon "Bael" Kobayakawa, she lost her seat. Kobayakawa actually replaces Kaneshiro as the third major target.

Her first Persona is Elissa, legendary founder and queen of Carthage... oh, and I will be shipping her with Tae for my Kawakemi agenda. :)

The Empress is Chihaya Fukurai (Mifune)!

Yuichi "Mammon" Fukurai, her adoptive father, runs Fukurai Foods (Big Bang Burger's owner and more). Chihaya was setting up to inherit the business when Yuichi "changed his mind" and prepared to sell her off in an arranged marriage to Rikio Sugimura.

Her first Persona is Lakshmibai, an Indian rani who rebelled against the Bri'ish.

The Emperor is Sojiro Sakura!

He's a culinary prodigy studying under his adoptive parent (I haven't decided who yet, but they're Azazel) - a TV chef who runs a kids' competition a la Chopped Junior. They definitely abuse some of those kids.

His Initial Persona is Hamlet, the famous Shakespearean Prince of Denmark.

The Hierophant is Makoto Niijima, owner of Cafe Bianca.

She's been looking for her estranged younger "sister" for years now.

The Lovers is Munehisa Iwai!

Munehisa is Shujin’s star athlete. Excels in every sport in Shujin except volleyball, from which he was banned after standing up to Suguru "Asmodeus" Kamoshida.

Kaoru, his younger brother here, takes the role of Shiho, and Akimitsu Tsuda and Masa replace Nakaoka and Takeishi.

His Initial Persona is Barrow, a Great Depression-era criminal who robbed small stores, funeral homes and banks with his partner Ms. Parker.

The Chariot is Ichiko Ohya!

Leader of the photography club. She caught photos of Kamoshida’s dirty deeds in the past and is trying to find a way to expose them anonymously. Oh, and she has a long-distance girlfriend named Kayo.

Her Initial Persona is O'Malley, an Irish pirate queen so violent Elizabeth I considered sending the Royal Fleet after.

Justice is Toranosuke Yoshida!

I sort of split Goro's two roles in this AU. Toranosuke plays the Detective Prince trying to solve the case of mental shutdowns (+ the Phantom Thief case), but his brother-by-choice Benzo Kuramoto plays assassin and mental-shutdown-inducer for Masao Kuramoto, his grandfather. Tora joins the team in Oda's Palace, and they fight Benzo in Kuramoto's Palace - that's where Toranosuke achieves his Second Persona.

Speaking of Personas, his Initial one is Greenlefe, Robin Hood's second-in-command and the only one present at his death.

The Hermit is Takuto Niijima (Maruki)!

Makoto had a brief stint as a police officer, but after a influential asshole (Kuramoto) drove drunk and killed one Tomoyo Rumi, she attempted to dig into the situation and was dishonorably discharged. Soon after, she met Rumi's boyfriend, Takuto (an orphan with one shitty relative), and took him in.

He would be a third-year if he was still in school. He’s wasting away as he grieves Rumi's death. He can’t bring himself to kill himself, but he also doesn't want to be alive anymore.

His Initial Persona is Popol Vuh, a religious text of the mythology and history of the Kʼicheʼ Guatemalans.

The Fortune is Hifumi Hibino (Togo)!

After Mitsuyo disowned Hifumi for coming out as lesbian, Hifumi moved in with her wife Haru (they both end up with Makoto later). Hifumi took up busking/street shogi, not wanting to be reliant on Haru.

The Hanged Man is Akira Kurusu!

Not much for this guy right now - like Canon!Munehisa, he's an ex-yakuza who runs Indomptable, an airsoft store. Ren is his adoptive son.

Death is Sumire Yoshizawa!

A medical misdiagnosis (by her biological mother Yui, not that she knows it) left Sumire's sister in a coma. Ever since, Sumire can't see anyone unconscious without thinking of Kasumi.

Temperance is Ryuji Sakamoto!

An orphaned man who teaches PE at Shujin and moonlights in an escort service to take care of himself and his son Morgana.

Just after his college years, his mom's ex-husband killed her and then killed himself to escape the police, so he has no support system. Thus, he got himself into trouble with a duo of loan sharks so he could look presentable enough to replace Kamoshida.

He, Ann and Shiho were friends in high-school, but he never saw them again after graduating.

The Devil is Ann Takamaki!

An up-and-coming actress working hard to make it big. She's keeping her sexuality (and her girlfriends Shiho Suzui and Mika Abe) under wraps from everyone, including her manager.

At the end of the Confidant, she moves in with her old friend (and future boyfriend) Ryuji after Tae mentions him.

The Tower is Goro Shido (Akechi)!

Goro is a very temperamental young man with no methods of healthily and safely letting out his anger at the world and his shitty, abusive father.

After Shido's heart is changed, Ryuji (and Ann and Shiho) take Goro in.

The Star is Zenkichi Hasegawa!

Even if Zen doesn't know it, he's the best player in the shogi club at Kosei. It's discovered their "team" has been fixing matches, and Zenkichi is determined to find out who's cheating.

Jyun Owada, his senpai and club president, is jealous, and is trying to cause strife between him and his girlfriend Aoi to weaken him.

The Moon is Sophia Ichinose!

Sophia is a Greek immigrant who moved to Japan for work opportunities. She's Tae's science teacher, so Tae really likes her. Her daughter Kuon, however, has fallen in with a HORRIBLY nasty crowd - a bigoted group who hates (among other groups of people) Kuon's adoptive mother. Kuon, naturally, is conflicted, and this leads to conflict between her and Sophia.

The Sun is Haru Hibino!

A young politician whose bold eat-the-wealthy mentality does not sit well with older generations - for example, her father Kunikazu, who disowned her and silently smeared her campaigns so she'd waste her inheritance and never expose his criminality.

In the end of the whole story, Haru legalizes polyamorous marriage!

Judgement is Shinya Oda!

Uses they/them pronouns here.

After Shinya's mother Hanae was killed in cold blood, they joined the SIU to find the killer. She did something to piss off Kuramoto, though, so he and the director do everything they can to keep Shinya away from that.

The Faith is Wakaba Isshiki!

Daughter of Shujin's new counselor. A science prodigy.

I don't have much ideas for her yet, never mind her Personas.

The Councillor is Futaba Isshiki!

Shujin's aforementioned new counselor in the wake of Kamoshida's arrest. Believing the world to be "without life" without her deceased fiancee Kana, her Palace becomes a Graveyard, where she "raises the dead" by fixing their problems.

She only has one Persona - Chac Chel, an important Maya goddess of many things, most prominently both creation and destruction.

The Hope is Yuuki (Mishima)!

His ranged weapon is eye lasers. They use both he/him and they/them.

An A.I. made by Katsuo Akiyama, a regretful high-school bully who caused one of his victims to commit suicide.

Their first Persona is Thyrsus - a giant fennel staff that Yuuki uses like a weapon alongside the Persona aspect of it.

The Apostle is Yusuke Kitagawa!

The only original Phantom Thief to keep the power of Persona.

Ordered by Madarame Ichitaro (the killer of his mother and Police Commissioner) to investigate the Phantom Thieves after a series of mass heart-changings occur again.

Akane has a brother, Natsuhiko, and they share the Jail. Their mother, Takayo (Yusuke's beard) is still dead.

His Persona is Enjolras, and he later gets with Akira.

Lastly, a unique Arcana - The Actor, Morgana Sakamoto!

A theater prodigy at his school (not Shujin or Kosei) and Ryuji's son. He has no clues to his past before Ryuji, and he wants to know, but he also wants his dad to be happy. At the end of the Strikers arc, Lavenza becomes human, and he and Goro get the Sakamotos to adopt her as well.

Full backstory after the jump. It got WAY longer than I expected it to be.

Katarina was born in blood and murk, in the darkness of Shadycreek Run, a stretch of land notorious for being the home to thieves, slavers, and criminal scum. She wasn’t even born with the name; her parents died before she could have one, and the slavers she was picked up by didn’t care much about formalities. It was only when the Remnants came that she found identity. The slavers had dared to steal a document from a Remnant informant, and paid with their lives. The child they found was just extra. She could be taught, molded to serve the Whispered One’s cause.

She was given the name by a woman named Delilah, who told her a pretty name and a pretty face were useful tools. Katarina was trained up as an assassin, and she was good. A prodigy with a dagger, in time she would be taught to kill mages. Despite being one herself, Delilah relished in the idea of ending so-called arrogant arcane practitioners with a simple blade. “They’re so squishy, relying on their tricks…”

In time, Katarina earned enough trust to be offered a mission; assassinate a mage who was getting too close to discover Delilah’s true circumstances. As the man’s blood flowed from his neck, Delilah presented Katarina with a powerful weapon. She called it a Vestige of a long-forgotten time, one that would prove useful to ending the Cerberus Assembly and other organizations. Katarina was also whisked off into the Shadowfell, to learn the ways of this blade. She acclimated well to the darkness there, losing the color in her hair and eyes, but gaining the ability to disguise herself lightly, at will.

A new mission was given to Katarina; she was to assassinate a noble family in the city of Byroden, one who had actually gotten close to finding a way to seal away their master. The patriarch, a paladin of some renown, had uncovered documents that led to a ritual to seal Vecna away in the Shadowfell permanently. Even if this was a local hero, she would not fail in taking these documents, and his life.

At least, that’s what she told herself, before he completely stopped her in her tracks.

Alexander Cena III took pity on her, however. The fool bought her act, her story that she was only trying to steal things to sell for money. He took her in. The first week wasn't so bad. Turns out that being a hero was a lucrative business - the man was rich beyond reason (though he would say it all came from his wife’s side of the family, and given her alleged connections, Katarina believed him). Katarina, undeterred from her primary mission, did all she could to undermine him and his regime. But he was clever. All of her attempts to steal information or snuff out the hero's brats and servants were "foiled" by the stupid hero. After a few weeks, Katarina found herself making fewer attempts. At first, she didn't know why. The mission hadn't changed; no agent had come to her with the news that it had. Then again, no other Remnant had come at all, and that was odd. She'd always had a handler around when on a mission. And, yet...

Then they started treating her...strangely. Like...she was something less than an assassin. Like she was...a person. The stupid hero talked to her about...life. And what she thought. All things that were banned by the Remnants. The wife, though colder, encouraged her to read books and learn with her children. And those children...they wanted nothing more than to spend time with their new friend. The first year of this treatment was unbearable, though the second…wasn’t so bad. She even welcomed the birth of triplets to the family, and was actually excited to be a big sister-

…when did she start considering herself a sister?

When news that Delilah, her husband Sylas, and the forces that had taken over the city of Whitestone had been felled, Katarina breathed the first sigh of relief in her life. She didn’t know why it was so relieving, at least not initially, but started to suspect that this was what peace felt like.

Katarina started to forget about the Remnants, though she never forgot her training. The hero insisted that she continue honing her skills, but he was different from her teachers with the Remnants. He encouraged her growth for her own sake, and though she suspected that he was only grooming her to become a counter-agent in his war against the Whispered One, he always insisted that it was only so that she may carve her own path.

In time, the hero would put his plan into action to finally seal away the Undying King. The Ritual of Fell Sealing, this supposed powerful enchantment, would return Vecna to the Shadowfell and seal him there for good. Though the efforts of the Remnants in Whitestone had been deterred, the Cena family knew that this would not be enough to stop Vecna forever. The hero said his goodbyes…but unknown to him, Katarina had tagged along. She wanted to help the man who had saved her, and who better than a former Remnant?

Unfortunately, her assistance cost him dearly. Though he was able to push Vecna’s avatar back to the Shadowfell, Katarina’s interference came at the cost of the ritual’s permanence…and his life. With his dying words, he asked Katarina to protect his family as a final request. Katarina nodded through tears, devoting herself to the protection of his family.

Katarina returned to the Cena Manor, head hung in the shame of this defeat, lacking the blade that Delilah had provided her all those years ago. Esperansa, the wife, took the news the hardest and simply walked away to her study to weep and mourn. Marcia and Alicia, two of the triplets who had, unfortunately, been spoiled, immediately jeered and flung hatred at her, despite only being three years old. The third triplet, Leticia, as well as the elder siblings Aurora and Alexander, attempted to cheer Katarina up, saying that their father had died a hero and that they held no ill will toward her.

Though she was not banished as she had feared, Katarina felt the sting of shunning from the matriarch of the house, as well as the two daughters who hated the young woman who they felt had taken their father from them. In time, news of the final sealing of the Whispered One, despite his ascension to godhood, reached them. Esperansa softened, relieved that her husband’s killer and the being she’d sworn to stop one day, was finally felled.

Katarina’s guilt, however, had only compounded in the year since his death. She decided that it would be best to live a life not by the side of this family, but in service of them. It was the least she could do to make up for her mistakes. Though reluctant, Esperansa allowed this arrangement.

The next 16 years marked a time of peace for the family. The triplets followed in the footsteps of their mother, learning magecraft at her feet (and in the company of many good teachers, now that Esperansa had rejoined the Arcana Pansophical in an advisory role). Leticia had even taken up the blade as a side project, in honor of her father. Alexander had taken up training, as well, though his was more in the area of sharpshooting. He reasoned he would be a hero like his father before him. Katarina, by now a well-tenured member of staff with a reputation of being quick on her feet and silvered of tongue, taught her young master in secret, honing his dexterity and aiming skills. Esperansa would not approve, but Katarina knew the young master would make a fine hero. She also viewed this as an opportunity to keep her own skills honed, skills she secretly employed in the interests of the family. They didn’t need to know that bandits and other ne’er-do-wells would occasionally attempt to cross the barriers of the home.

Her loyalty and devotion had been rewarded. Katarina was assigned as the direct retainer of Alexander Cena IV, a role she cherished; the two were closer than siblings by this point.

On the day of his 23rd birthday, Alexander had an argument with his mother, who had discovered his training. In the dead of night, he ran from the house, leaving a note for Katarina saying that he needed to test his mettle in the real world, and become a hero himself. Within two days, Katarina had been sent off to find him and return him home by Esperansa.

She would travel to the site of the original ritual, the one that had taken her father figure from her, to pay respects. What she found there were the abandoned, now-psychotic Remnant handlers she used to have, with her old Vestige, Spellbreaker, in their hands.

They didn’t last 30 seconds.

Katarina swore she would find her young master and return him home. She tracked him deep into the Verdant Expanse, eventually finding a curious gate. She’d heard that this gate was one into the Feywild, erected by a group of heroes as a favor to an archfey they had befriended, but in this moment…the gate was different. Perhaps it was the leylines fluctuating, but this gate didn’t seem to be going to the world of the Fey…

Katarina awoke in a strange land, one of fog and darkness. A castle of ill omen in the distance did little to calm Katarina as she began to question those around, asking where she was. In time, she would learn that this fell place was known as Barovia. She also managed to find out that Alexander had managed to find his way here, and seemed to be traveling with an unusual troupe. Her priority in place, she searched for him…but in time, she would find herself far too late.

Alex had fallen in battle, the unfortunate casualty of crossfire as he and his compatriots battled a cursed living tree. At the same time, a strange woman, claiming herself to be a priestess to a dark goddess, arrived, claiming to be seeking Alex for her own purposes. Katarina tried to get this woman to revive her charge…but resurrection magic was cursed in Barovia, and the ritual failed. Katarina had lost both the Alex in her life.

The rest of his party introduced themselves, told stories of Alex’s bravery, his prowess, and his abilities with an unusual weapon. Katarina picked it up…she had heard rumors of such a contraption being used by some of the less savory criminals in Tal’Dorei, though she’d heard that the heir of Whitestone himself, Percival de Rolo, used such a weapon, a firearm, as well. She took the weapon from her young charge’s body, vowing vengeance against the world that had taken him.

In time, this group would work to undermine and defeat the master of this land, an undead monstrosity named Strahd. During their mission, Katarina became close to Saturn, the two bonding over their shared fates, and wishing to protect each other, viewing it as a way to make up for their failures to protect Alex. In time, their bond would evolve to one of romance, and their relationship would blossom through their final days of combatting Strahd. It was during this campaign that Saturn took on some of the vampiric traits from Strahd himself, as part of his final defeat. Katarina was worried that Saturn would turn to darkness…but despite her being a dark cleric, Saturn only wished to live in peace and spread love, and these new powers would allow her to do so.

The two parted ways with the rest of the adventurers who had traveled with Alex. Saturn’s skills with magic and new abilities allowed her to bend space and return them to Exandria, but with a catch; there was a large amount of time dilation for them as they returned, and what had only been about a month in Barovia had been 5 years in Exandria. The Cena family had almost given up on seeing either Katarina or Alex ever again. Esperansa had taken ill, and the revelation almost broke her. Aurora cried deeply for the loss of her little brother, and Marcia & Alicia had only gotten worse, vitriol towards the former maid at the news of their brother’s death enhanced by the poisonous brattiness they now carried. Leticia took the news the worst. She ran away, only taking a moment to look back and ask Katarina if she had genuinely done her best to bring him back.

Katarina almost broke then and there.

Esperansa banished Katarina on the spot. She had failed in her duties, after all. Saturn, however, did not take kindly to her lover’s judgement. Though entirely a bluff, it was convincing enough; she “cursed” Esperansa to a life of grief, only to be broken by an act of genuine forgiveness. This was no true malady, but Esperansa’s grief would leave her bedridden in the years to come, so it may as well have been.

Her ties severed, Katarina walked out of the Cena manor one last time. Saturn did her best to assuage her lover’s guilt, and though it helped immensely, Katarina lived with a dark cloud looming over her, a reminder of her greatest failure, for years. In spite of this, she did her best to move on; in a year’s time, she had been wed to Saturn in a private ceremony. Only Leticia was allowed to attend, though when she did, the youngest Cena noticed several new friends, maidens who swooned for “the lady”.

In time, the city of Byroden had been besot by rumor. This wasn’t uncommon, as word travels fast in the biggest city in the Gladepools of Tal’Dorei. Still, these rumors spoke of a strange gathering in the old, long-thought-abandoned Castello family manor, of young women who would attend some kind of school. Some of the more sensational rumormongers of the countryside called it a coven. Others called it a cult. In time, this order would be given a name: the Black Lily Sisterhood, and at its head was the mysterious woman known only as the Umbral Mistress. And while it was rare to see this mysterious woman, rumored to be as pale as Catha with eyes of crimson and hair of gold, those who frequented the markets in Byroden spoke of seeing her loyal housemaid, hair of white with a green tinge at the tips, eyes hidden by the reflection in her glasses, and sidearm on her waist.

I thought of something when first seeing Doctor's image he had some similarities to a fan made teenage phantom thief version of takemi in the Persona 5 Adult AU they look kinda similar

Uh, sure, I guess they look similar in that they both have plague doctor-inspired masks...? And maybe having kind of a high collar on Takemi's cloak and Doctor's jacket? I really don't think they look all that similar besides that; their masks are even very different besides the overall shape.
