Scrolling through another fandom's tag a while back, I encountered a few anon asks warning people of the perils of bringing up RPF/shipping to the individuals who inspire it. While I agree with the sentiment, this person didn't choose a good example to go with it: Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins.
The gist of it was that this issue caused them to stop talking and even to refuse to do events together for a long time.
Which is blatantly untrue, for one:

[I'd add quotes but I think that's quite enough]
And secondly, why would it cause such a rift between Jensen and Misha when it didn't cause it between Jared and Jensen? I think you might have been misled by someone with an agenda...
So. Anon, you probably won't see this but I'll give you my advice anyway: if you really care about the topic, I'd find another example because this one works against you, if anything.

Summary: “The director feels your connection to Captain Rogers is a liability.”
The deleted scene from CA:TWS revisited
A reversal of roles (ao3) - Kodawari N/R, 3k
Summary: Tony mounts a rescue for a Wizard who keeps finding himself in ridiculous situations. Only it doesn't turn out quite like he planned.
Based off the concept art showing Tony and Stephen swapping powers, also the Disney+ footage of them in a deleted scene. You know, the one where they hold hands.
Close Enough to Injure (ao3) - Kodawari N/R, 1k
Summary: He snapped his fingers and he thought that was the end of it. Right after, Tony finds himself in a place that by all logic should not exist. That isn't his main issue, though. His main issue is the person he finds there waiting for him and the accompanying feeling that he somehow failed.
Spoilers!
(Based off a confirmed deleted Endgame scene).
i don't want you like a best friend (ao3) - cryoshia bruno/kamala G, 1k
Summary: an alternate version of ms marvel deleted scene #3: just friends.
I have a plan (ao3) - elu_xx loki/sylvie G, 835
Summary: Loki's thoughts during the deleted scene on Lamentis
it's so painfully obvious (ao3) - slothturtle bruno/kamala G, 1k
Summary: When Bruno turns the corner and walks into the alleyway beside the Circle Q what he isn't expecting to see is Kamala Khan, all decked out in her DIY Captain Marvel getup.
…But, it is a relief, and one he really needed, too.
(or: a canon-divergent fic inspired by cut content from ep2 of Ms. Marvel)
Karma Cafe (ao3) - AnonEhouse pre steve/tony G, 1k
Summary: Based on a deleted scene from the Avengers- Steve sits at a cafe across from Stark Tower to sketch buildings, a waitress flirts with him, and after she walks away, Stan Lee calls him a moron for not getting her number.
Well, months later, Steve is back at the cafe, and Stan continues the conversation.
Tell me one thing, are you alright (ao3) - azaliz G, 824
Summary: Based of a scene in Captain America: Civil War. Steve waits by Bucky’s side and he sings. It’s angsty.
The Grace of Jane (ao3) - fostorsonslover G, 1k
Summary: Aresia and Gilrn are two Asgardian children who happen to stumble upon the crown prince, Thor, and his mortal love, Jane, during her visit. She leaves quite an impression on young Aresia.
Based off of the deleted scene where Jane is determined to analyze the contents of an Asgardian ball.
The past only continues to haunt me (ao3) - heizl steve/bucky G, 1k
Summary: Wanda has her way of getting inside people's heads, in the literal sense. She makes everyone see a part of their past that they can no longer have, a cut deep enough that it can not heal. Steve is shown a life where he'd successfully landed the plane and made it back to Brooklyn. Finding himself back in Bucky's arms.
A what if scenario based off of a scene that was originally discussed to be in AOU. Instead of the vision Steve has about Peggy, it's him and Bucky getting an apartment together.
The Scene That Should Have Been (ao3) - goldenrazzmatazz T, 1k
Summary: At SDCC 2019, The Russo Brothers explained that they had originally planned for Thanos to kill 2014 Captain America, and use his severed head to taunt the remaining Avengers during the final battle in 2023.
Written in a way that it still canonically fits within the film, this is my imagining of that scene. Spoilers for the final battle of Avengers: Endgame.
the way station (ao3) - spacedoutwrites G, 1k
Summary: Tony sees Morgan at the way station after he snaps to save the world (a re-write of that deleted scene from Endgame)
What's For Dessert (ao3) - flyingorfalling pepper/tony M, 2k
Summary: This is a continuation of the deleted goji berries scene, and one of my many headcanons about what could've happened had the stupid Avengers not shown up at Tony's house. You know I like giving them the happiness they deserved.
You know that (ao3) - missingcrowdsof100s bruno/kamala T, 2k
Summary: A peek into Kamala’s mind when Bruno’s about to get taken away in an ambulance after Aamir and Tyesha’s wedding (deleted scene from Episode 3).

Marvel's Devastatingly Bizarre SDCC News
Tumblr media
Marvel fans, brace yourselves! Robert Downey Jr. is back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but not as the billionaire philanthropist Tony Stark. Instead, Downey is shockingly taking on the mantle of the infamous Victor von Doom, a.k.a. Doctor Doom, in the upcoming movie "Avengers: Doomsday." The announcement, revealed at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), has sent shockwaves through the fandom, stirring mixed reactions from fans. https://twitter.com/RealEmirHan/status/1817477350612758868 Robert Downey Marvel: From Iron Man to Doctor Doom Downey's return marks a significant shift in the MCU landscape. After bowing out in 2019's "Avengers: Endgame," where his character Iron Man made the ultimate sacrifice, many thought Downey's Marvel days were behind him. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had even emphasized the finality of Iron Man's story arc, ensuring fans that Stark's poignant end would remain untouched. Yet, here we are, with Downey swapping his Iron Man suit for Doctor Doom's iconic metal mask. https://twitter.com/JUST_OTSeven/status/1817407807114854805 What to Expect from Avengers: Doomsday Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the dynamic duo behind some of the MCU's biggest hits, "Avengers: Doomsday" is set to introduce the MCU's version of Doctor Doom, one of Marvel's most iconic villains. This movie, along with "Avengers: Secret Wars," signals a new phase in the MCU. Downey's portrayal of Doom is expected to be challenging for both the Avengers and the audience's perception of good and evil. https://twitter.com/MMAnomaly/status/1817413355461882305 Downey's Career Renaissance Robert Downey Marvel return comes on the heels of a banner year for the actor. His Oscar-winning performance in Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" showcased his range, earning him critical acclaim and reaffirming his status as one of Hollywood's most versatile actors. Additionally, Downey's role in the HBO mini-series "The Sympathizer" further demonstrated his talent, earning him an Emmy nomination. The Legacy of Tony Stark Iron Man's legacy looms large in the MCU, and Downey's new role adds an interesting twist to that narrative. As Stark, Downey was the face of the MCU, a hero who inspired a generation. As Doom, he steps into the shoes of a villain whose intellect and ambition rival Stark's. Robert Downey Jr.'s return to the MCU as Doctor Doom is a game-changer. His casting as Victor Von Doom is a surprising addition to Marvel's cinematic universe. With the Russo brothers at the helm "Avengers: Doomsday" is set to be a completely different film than what fans were expecting. (Source: Variety) Read the full article

Heartstrings
This is a poem, inspired by many things. It begins somehow with Cockles, blurs to Destiel and ends up in sadness about saying goodbye to SPN.... I don't know how I should describe it otherwise. I began to write after these Cockles-gifs from SDCC 2019 showed up on my dash. ;)
Dedicated to the SPN Fam. 💕 ___________________
Heartstrings - AO3
Damn, you mentally force me to my knees Everytime you dare to look at me And I accidentally look back into your eyes While you nail me hard against the wall All the world can see
I’m not ready for this farewell But honestly I’ll never be What if this is our last possibility To give in to our feelings
In the chaos of my bleeding out emotions Your presence pushes me to the limit And I can’t control the reactions of my body Trying hard to stand upright All the world can see it
I’m drowning in a sea of lost desires That never ending yearning For you, knocking on my door again One last time, giving in to our feelings
Your body, pining for me It’s like a primeval instinct And without ever knowing why I don’t care who’s watching us
In the mists of my illuminated mind Hovering between the clouds There’s always a vision of your soul And how it reaches out to mine
I picture us together Underneath the stars That lake in the moonlight As you laid your hand on mine Leaning in to kiss me
Do you remember As the universe vanished suddenly Sparkling dots only seen inside our eyes Endlessly caressing every part of us Inside out, covetously
Damn, I remember everything How you looked like on that night Tempting, red kissed, swollen lips A mess of concentrated passion
Entirely surrendered to me You laid your existence in my hands And I never will recover From the burning marks you left Here on my precious heart field How you ripped the strings apart Which held the last pieces of my sanity together
That hold you have on me Erratic like the elements These moments come and go like waves Steadily elapsing, like sand between our fingers
So if we shall take a leave now Once and for all I’m convinced the light you gave remains forever Shining endlessly, even after every death So I never feel that lonely
Because behind the pitch black night Our stories are carved in every star So the universe will not forget The essence of your soul Colliding with my heartstrings As we flew on black and golden wings
Eternally together.

Thank you for reading this guys! Well, I hope you liked my little – quite sad – piece of trashy poetry… I love you guys!

So with the new art of Aaravos in mind, let’s talk about stars, skits, and foreshadowing
Tumblr media
It seems to be child Aaravos, gathered around stars. Now, most of what we know about stars were jokes included in the “Written in the Stars” skit from a comic con in 2019, where Callum (Jack de Sena) and Rayla (Paula Burrows) stargazed together their first night in Xadia, discussing different constellations between their cultures. It is adorable, and you should watch this animatic of it right now if you haven’t already, and even if you have.
Rayla talks about Garlaf ruling the night sky (with his merciless boot of crushing), Callum talks a baby banther mama banther constellation that’s clearly an Usra major / minor reference. (Perhaps Garlaf is a famous Moonshadow or Startouch elf of old?) But most notably, Callum references something called the South Star, a parody of the north star. What he says is this:
“What about that? Brightest star in the sky. A single point of light. We call it the South Star. Humans used it to navigate, you know, to find their way in the endless darkness of the night.”
Why does this matter? Well, Rayla has been consistently associated with light - not just moonlight - with Callum in her framing and in their dynamic, mostly notably in season one and season two. There is also the general theme of them being Truthtellers for each other, helping them see through the illusions they held concerning each other: Rayla to shame and murder, Callum to self worth and magic. Callum’s arc with magic and how it pertains to Rayla is also very interesting, because of the way magic (and an arcanum specifically) is defined as a Spark, like fire, the tiniest flicker of a primal source inside you.
The framing below because it is also consistent, but more specific examples to show:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Callum walking out of the dark and into the light after his date with Claudia / now that he knows the truth, but Rayla could’ve been in darkness to signify his mood. Instead, she’s in the light (and her white hair) because although shattered, their relationship and her presence in his life is the Truth, and what ultimately helps him deal with the truth]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[More lighting and Rayla turning him towards her, toward the sun]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which is to say, if the South Star is the Xadian equivalent of the North Star, something that Rayla comments as being like poetry (poetry clearly being important in the world of TDP, as the only information we have about Startouch elves at all are in two poems), well... Let’s look at the associations we typically have with the North Star and see if they match up, shall we?
The North Star is the anchor of the northern sky. It is a landmark, or sky marker, that helps those who follow it determine direction as it glows brightly to guide and lead toward a purposeful destination. It also has a symbolic meaning, for the North Star depicts a beacon of inspiration and hope to many.
So despite being an inverse in name, the South Star holds the same meaning in TDP’s world that it holds in ours. But, you may be saying: this all seems like a Reach. A good natured little skit, a handful of screencaps, what does this all have to do with anything, really?
And I’m not saying it isn’t a reach, and that the majority of TDP’s cute little con skits aren’t just silly (they are), but there are two skits that have some loaded symbolism behind them.
At the SDCC in 2020 when we got the confirmation for the full saga, the entire voice cast at the time did two skits. One was a fairly silly DND skit, but Aaravos, notably, was DM, controlling the game and pushing the players forward. It’s easy to see the parallels to this in show, as currently, very few characters know Aaravos is even a player in the events that have happened in s2 and s3 in particular, and only two characters really know what he can do: Runaan (whose coined) and Viren, who was using it to his own advantage. And even then, there’s a lot Viren doesn’t know.
The more interesting and painful parallel, to me, is from the opening skit of the Zoom, initially just a play on the characters having to deal with the pandemic the way we would, facetiming, social distancing, etc. However, I just want to remind you that Through the Moon, where Rayla leaves Callum to hunt Viren down on her own, came out just a couple months before the con was released, and the writers absolutely knew it was a plot point. Which is to say, this?
Rayla: Hey guys. Long time no see Callum. Good to see you, from far, far away. Ezran: Wait a minute, you guys have the same background. Are you in the same place? Callum: Uh, nope! Nope. Totally different places, separate, far away locations. Ezran: Callum, I can see part of your scarf in Rayla’s background. You’re supposed to be distancing. Callum: Oh come on, it’s a big castle! There’s — there’s lots of distancing. Rayla: Not so much that we miss each other too much.
Can be seen as foreshadowing, because in canon they are far away from each other, there is going to be loads of distancing, and they’re definitely going to miss each other (way too much). So if one skit had meaning in a small way, and this skit has foreshadowing in a bigger way, and the show loves its one off jokes being rooted in lore, like the famous explorer Sir Phineas Cursed...
Rayla is hunting down Viren, Aaravos’ current ‘vessel’ / partner in crime (even if that may be on the outs in s4). Callum has Aaravos’ Key.
All of this is to say if the Written in the Stars skit is foreshadowing that Callum and Rayla will become entangled with Aaravos’ plotline by S4’s end, and that Rayla is Callum’s chosen South Star and vice versa, to lead and help each other get through the dark times they’re going through... I will burst into tears and you can count on that.

an index of Horikoshi Kouhei interviews
these are organized by date, oldest to newest, and I’m including a brief bullet-point summary of each to make it easier to look up specific interviews by content.
also, please note that although I haven’t spoiler tagged this post, the interviews from roughly 2019 onwards include some spoilers, so please watch out for those if you’re anime-only or otherwise not caught up with the manga. that said, the other interviews I think are all good.
putting this below a cut to keep things tidy.
interview with Horikoshi Kouhei and Kishimoto Masashi, May 2015
(note: this is not the actual interview word-for-word, but includes the highlights)

Horikoshi says he was inspired by the way Kishimoto shows emotion through drawing hands, and that he loves drawing hands thanks to Naruto
Horikoshi mentions that Gaara is his favorite character and that he really liked the Chuunin Exam arc
Kishimoto praises BnHA and says he knew it would be a hit when he read the second chapter
they talk a bit about the worldbuilding and the process of creating a story where 80% of the population has superpowers

mentions that he really likes drawing and writing Bakugou

interview with Horikoshi Kouhei and Umakoshi Yoshihiko in BnHA: Ultra Archive, May 2016
(note: Umakoshi is the anime character designer for BnHA. also, this interview was part of the Ultra Archive character book, so you’ll have to scroll a bit through its other contents in order to get to the interview.)
they talk about the process of creating the BnHA anime and sketching out all of the character designs. Horikoshi says the anime character model sheets look just like how he draws them
they talk about Horikoshi’s obsession with drawing hands lol. Horikoshi mentions that the way Mike Mignola (the creator of Hellboy) draws hands was a big influence

interview with Cinema Today Japan, December 2019
(update: here is the link to @hanashimas‘ translation which is more accurate)
talks about Deku and Bakugou’s characters and their attributes
mentions that at the start of the story Bakugou thinks Deku is above him, so he tries to act intimidating and superior to overtake him
(ETA: apparently this is a mistranslation; he actually says that he intended for Bakugou to be a character who was “above” Deku so to speak, who Deku would eventually surpass. he then goes on to talk about his realization that Bakugou could actually have a much more interesting character arc, which of course we have since seen play out.)
mentions that he planned to have Bakugou and Deku improve on two separate vectors as they entered U.A.
mentions Deku vs Kacchan 1 as a turning point where he had some realizations about Bakugou’s character that humanized him for him
mentions that he always knew Bakugou wouldn’t turn evil and “would never lose to the darkness”
says the scene where Katsuki takes Kirishima’s hand at Kamino was bittersweet because it showed Bakugou’s growth, but also showed the ongoing gulf between him and Deku because Deku knew that Katsuki wouldn’t take his hand
mentions that Bakugou still needs to apologize to Deku
says that Kirishima, Kaminari, and Mina are among the easiest characters for him to draw because they take the initiative and get the other characters excited and help pull the story forward
mentions that he always hears Nobu’s voice in his head now when writing Bakugou
talks about the characters being high school kids still, and that when he expanded on their families he was conscious of that -- “I wanted to show that these protagonists are still children after all”

talks again about his manga influences and what inspired him to become a mangaka
talks about the experience of getting his first manga published

talks about Bakugou’s character development which leads up to that moment
talks about the conclusion of the series, and that all of the characters will come together in the end
interview with all of the past editors of the BnHA manga, March 2021

they talk about the early reception to the manga, and Horikoshi’s reactions
they talk about the individual moments early on when they realized that the series would be “amazing”
Yoritomi mentions that Horikoshi came up with the designs for most of the Billboard Top 10 pro heroes at the last minute lol

they talk about the start of the anime and that whole process
they mention that Horikoshi cried watching both of the movies
they talk about the overseas popularity of the series

they talk about the upcoming season 5 and send final messages to the fans
interview in the MHA Drawing Smash Exhibition Pamphlet, April 2021
Horikoshi talks about the art in the exhibition and about the process of creating the artwork
he mentions that the piece with Deku rescuing a falling Ochako took the longest to draw
he says the drawing of All Might was the most fun to draw for him
that’s pretty much it, this one is very short lol
interview in Jump GIGA Spring 2021, April 2021
talks about which characters will play an important role in the final act. specifically mentions Hawks, Ochako, Shouji, Shinsou, Monoma, and Sero
“many characters’ actions will converge into a single one, so maybe the best way to say it would be ‘keep an eye on all of them!’“
says that for Hawks’s flashbacks and the Todoroki family’s past, he was influenced by Sion Sono’s works
mentions that the drawing of Deku and Ochako from the MHA Drawing Smash exhibit isn’t directly related to the main story, but that while drawing it he kept in mind how their relationship would develop if he explored it deeper
says he had the final act (or at least the chapter 306 reveal part of it) vaguely planned for a long time, but started to think about the specifics in volume 21 during the Endeavor vs High-End fight
says he’s already decided on the ending, and that “the path to it has been longer than I initially expected, but the main elements that I’ve decided before starting the series are still the same”
Q&A trivia from Vol. W World Heroes’ Mission, August 2021
(and alternate translation by aitaikimochi)
talks about All Might not having many friends among the pro heroes (but says he’s become “slightly attached” to Aizawa since he started teaching at U.A.)
describes what Bakugou, Tsuyu, and Mineta’s rooms look like
talks about Jirou and Momo’s relationship and the kind of things they like to talk about when they hang out together
says that Shouji’s face will eventually be revealed, and that he is “not sure” about Hagakure’s :’)
talks about the types of YouTube videos Shouto watches (pretty insightful answer which is equal parts sweet and sad)
says that Midnight’s classes were the most popular among the students
says U.A.’s robots once rebelled against their creators (lol wtf)

So it's been a couple of years since I worked on my custom She Ra dolls since the base parts (factory SDCC She Ra heads and WWE Superstar bodies) became incredibly difficult to track down and my dwindling supply of parts made me incredibly nervous to finish off my initial project of the toy canon characters. But I've seen the Rainbow High Closet set, and I know in my heart that the orange knit butterfly dress would be perfect for Flutterina so I finally got around to painting her face. For my She Ra dolls I tend to use the vintage Mattel toys as my main basis while only looking to the Filmation canon to help extrapolate details in the face since I feel like that would work best with my 2016 She Ra's stylisation. But Flutterina has a pretty generic toy face so a lot of my inspiration is lifted directly from Filmation. I know a lot of people admire my ability to make a custom doll, but this doll was waiting for a face up since 2019. I'm glad I finally finished her though and I'm looking forward to dressing her in a specific dress when I have the chance. #flutterina #repaint #shera #princessofpower #motu #sherasdcc2016 #wewantmoremotu #wewantmoreshera https://www.instagram.com/p/CTDKMaMhmBT/?utm_medium=tumblr

My friend Lumi is doing a special collaboration on Twitter where various fans redraw the DuckTales season 3/SDCC 2019 poster but with our ducksonas. And yours truly is taking part in it! As you can probably tell, I chose Goldie to redraw my sona. …Well, more so myself as a duck. XD
I was going to put the notes about the design under the cut, but for some reason, it's experiencing a bug where either two random photos or the first two text blocks become identical whenever I draft a post. I apologize in advance if it's long.
When it comes to persona ideas, I typically keep the brown hair/blue eyes combo that I have (because I'm THAT original). This time, however, I decided to have the hair color match the creamy white plumage (much like with Webby and Della) and I quite like it. I even took it a step further by adding in a couple of highlights to match Daisy's pure white plumage.
Speaking of which, the two highlights are a nod to how I got highlights in my hair a few years ago. (I wouldn't mind doing that again in the future.) There were originally a few more highlights throughout the hair, but it honestly felt like there were a bit too much details going on, so I reduced it to only two in the front.
The hairstyle itself is naturally curly and approximately shoulder-length, but it gets blown all over the place whenever it's windy. Since my sona is falling with style in the poster redraw, I did my best to reflect that, using my first time riding Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure as inspiration. You guys should've seen my hair in the photo that was taken when I was on it; it was blown straight back because of how fast the ride was. XD
Figuring out what shirt my sona would wear was a bit difficult, so for now, I went with my purple, three-quarter sleeved shirt. It admittedly compliments well with the other colors.
I have taken quite a liking to wearing leggings since the holiday season last year. It's partially why I made two versions—one with dark gray leggings and one with black leggings— because I wasn't sure which one I liked more. lmao
Yes, the eye shape is heavily based on Matilda's. In any animated media, I see myself having that kind of eye shape. A few other examples of eye designs I see myself having include Gine from the DBZ series, Twilight Sparkle, Kagami Hiiragi, and a Duel Links NPC named Jess.
I'm hoping I'll get around to making a reference sheet soon, as well as a sheet of all the different clothes my sona would wear. Getting to finally draw her was a lot of fun to do. :)

2021 WonderCon Masquerade@Home - Victorian Poison Ivy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WonderCon Masquerade Contest: Catherine M. Fisher of Cat Designs Unlimited
Costume Name: Victorian Poison Ivy
Costume Description: My favorite character to cosplay all dressed up as a woman of class from the late 1800s!
I haven’t been costuming as much this year as I should be and while I was half expecting there to be a WonderCon Masquerade@home like last year’s Comic Con Masquerade@home, I was still taken by surprise to get the email on March 12 announcing we could submit WC Masquerade entries.  Like last year for SDCC 2020@home, it took me a while to figure out what to make in such a short time that would still be Masquerade worthy.  St. Patrick’s Day was coming up and I don’t know if all that green had anything to do with it, but the idea of a Victorian Poison Ivy popped into my head and I knew she was meant to be my entry this year! I’ve done many incarnations of Poison Ivy (my favorite villainess of all time), and Victorian Poison Ivy is definitely up there as one of my new favorites. I’m better known for my sexy leggy costumes, but after my first foray into period costuming thanks to Gaslight Gathering 2011, I developed a taste for the beautiful formal gowns of the Victorian era and knew one day I’d make a fancy formal version of everyone’s favorite redhead vamp, and this year’s WonderCon Masquerade@home was just the inspiration I needed to make it happen!  I’m very pleased with how this turned out even if it’s a little different than I originally envisioned it to be.  I had originally planned on glittering a TON of ivy leaves and trimming the gown with a variety of glittered leaves, but once it was made, I decided that in Victorian Poison Ivy’s case less is more, and chose to use a few leaves here and there as accents.  Glitter is one of my favorite mediums, and no Poison Ivy costume is complete without a pair of glittered emerald slippers, so I got my glitter fix that way.  There was a lot of fabric involved (9 yards for the gown and 6 yards of netting just for the bustle), a lot more hand sewing than I’d anticipated and in the end, it was 100% worth the extra effort bring Victorian Poison Ivy to life!  I made this gown in about 24 hours over the course of two and a half days, and while she may not show as much skin as my other versions of Poison Ivy, I still feel incredibly sexy sashaying around as Victorian Poison Ivy – if you see her coming your way, you better watch out!!!
Bio: I’ve entered the SDCC Masquerade since my first year attending Comic Con (2005), and I entered WonderCon’s Masquerade from 2008 to 2013.  I was planning on entering back in 2019, but some outside circumstances prevented me from attending that year, so I was hoping to get back into the swing of things this year, but sadly WonderCon was postponed yet again, so this was a great way to jump back into the WC Masquerade scene!  I know this year’s entry isn’t as big or as fancy as some of my past entries, but I think she’s a great addition to an awesome array of entries this year, and as always, it’s an honor to be part of the Masquerade!
Be sure to follow @WonderConAtHome!

Hawkeye: Everything We Know About the Disney+ Marvel Series
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This article contains Black Widow spoilers.
As the pandemic winds down, Marvel is opening the floodgates with endless movies they’ve been building up alongside their string of Disney+ shows. One of the big series on the horizon is Hawkeye, starring Jeremy Renner reprising his role as badass archer Clint Barton. The retired Avenger gives it one more go in a story inspired by one of his most popular comic book runs.
Hawkeye Release Date
Back at SDCC 2019 Marvel announced that Hawkeye would arrive in Fall of 2021, but it’s not yet clear if the COVID pandemic impacted that. But considering how What If starts its 10 episode run on August 11, that would make the earliest Hawkeye could arrive Oct. 6.
Depending on whether Hawkeye or Ms. Marvel will be the next of the Disney+ live action shows, that will also impact the potential release date. Ms. Marvel is said to be six episodes, which could put Hawkeye as late as Dec. 1. Unless Disney+ decides to start double-dipping on their new releases, but I highly doubt that.
Hawkeye Cast
As mentioned, Jeremy Renner will return as Clint Barton. Though Ben Sakamoto, Ava Russo, and Cade Woodward will return as Clint’s children Cooper, Lila, and Nathaniel in some form, there’s been no confirmation thus far of Linda Cardellini reprising her role as Laura Barton.
Hailee Steinfeld will co-star as Kate Bishop, Clint’s partner and protégé who also goes by Hawkeye in the comics. Alaqua Cox will be playing Maya Lopez, otherwise known as Echo, a deaf woman with move-copying abilities similar to that of the Taskmaster. Tony Dalton will appear as Jack Duquesne, also known as the Swordsman, who mentored Hawkeye in his early days. Fra Fee will be the Clown, an assassin sent to kill our hero.
We have more info on all the new characters coming to Hawkeye and the MCU here.
Speaking of assassins sent to kill Hawkeye, Florence Pugh will reprise her role from Black Widow. Yelena Belova will be around in an attempt to take out Clint, both for a paycheck and because of her understanding that he was responsible for her sister Natasha’s death. We wrote more about that here.
Oh, and a dog named Jolt will be playing the part of Lucky, better known as Pizza Dog.
Hawkeye Recap
Clint Barton first appeared in Thor as a SHIELD operative watching as Thor rampaged through various agents on his way to reclaim his mystical hammer, Mjolnir. He returned in Avengers, where Loki took over his mind and used him as a pawn against the other heroes. Thanks to getting beaten up by his best friend and fellow agent Black Widow, Hawkeye regained control of his mind. The two of them joined Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and the Hulk in stopping Loki’s plans for global domination, thereby founding the Avengers.
In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Hawkeye rejoined the Avengers as part of a mission to crush the remnants of the terrorist cell HYDRA. Afterwards, he helped defeat the android threat Ultron, an adventure where he inspired Wanda Maximoff to become a hero. Clint’s rival Pietro Maximoff died saving Clint’s life. The same story also revealed that Clint had a secret family that lived off the grid.
With Ultron defeated, Clint went into retirement, but returned to help Captain America and Wanda fight against Iron Man’s forces during Captain America: Civil War. Hawkeye was captured and put in a special prison. He was eventually released, but put under house arrest. This suited him just fine as it meant he could simply be with his family.
As the villain Thanos removed half of all life from existence, Clint’s wife and children vanished, as shown in Avengers: Endgame. Dressing in black, a broken and furious Clint toured the world and slaughtered any criminal he could get his hands on. Natasha Romanoff came to him to recruit him in a plan to undo Thanos’ actions. As the Avengers used time travel to obtain the six Infinity Stones, Hawkeye and Black Widow went to the planet Vormir to obtain the Soul Stone. To their horror, they discovered that the only way to obtain it was to lose someone they loved. After much fighting, Black Widow sacrificed herself and fell off a cliff so Hawkeye could be awarded the Soul Stone.
Distraught over Natasha’s death, Hawkeye was still able to resurrect his family. After helping defeat Thanos’ forces, Clint retired yet again, happily reunited with his family.
Sometime later, Natasha’s sister and fellow Black Widow Yelena Belova was hired by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine with a mission to take out Hawkeye. Why? We don’t know yet, but it’s definitely going to lead to a big confrontation between Florence Pugh’s Yelena, Renner’s Clint, and Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop on Hawkeye.
Hawkeye Story
The series appears to be based on the critically-acclaimed 22-issue run of Hawkeye written by Matt Fraction with art by David Aja and others, which ran from late 2012 to 2015.
The comic dealt with Hawkeye’s off-time away from the Avengers where he dealt with running his own apartment complex while working alongside his annoyed protégé Kate Bishop. His dealings would get him in trouble with a faction of European mafiosi nicknamed the “Tracksuit Draculas,” known for their habit of constantly calling people “bro.” Their war would soon bring in the Clown, a highly-competent killer in clown makeup. Clint is not only antagonized by the Tracksuit Draculas, but his own failings, which cause him to constantly alienate his allies, leaving him alone and desperate for help he claims he doesn’t need.
How will all of this translate into the MCU?
Kate Bishop still needs to be introduced and established. With little news on Linda Barton being part of the show, it’s very likely that Clint’s five-year stretch as an amoral vigilante would have long-term repercussions and possibly lead to a separation. That would at least put him in the situation where he’d be living alone in an apartment complex.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Echo and Yelena didn’t have any part in the Hawkeye comic series, but it’s not like the MCU ever makes a 100% faithful adaptation to the source material.

Below, I’m sharing a long outline of what was discussed in this wonderful interview, for those who can’t or prefer not to listen but want to know the content. It is very long and I don’t feel like finding pictures so you’ll have to just enjoy it like it is. It’s not a transcript but it is, in my own words for the most part, a recitation of everything Susana and Rebecca talked about: musicals, the upcoming movie, animation influences, and quite a few things you did not already know.
Susana introduces the interview by saying that tons of attention is paid to the diversity and the characters and all this great stuff in the show, but she wants to talk about the science fiction aspects and the society and worldbuilding Rebecca and her team have put in. She begins by talking about how the show seems so planned considering aspects of the show's beginning feed so well into the end, and she asks Rebecca to talk about that.
Rebecca opens by saying it was conceived as a coming-of-age story, so a ton of stuff that the adults know, Steven doesn't know, allowing it to be a story about things that happened to adults but remain child-friendly. Rebecca brings up a college class on the sublime that she took, about what's going on and implied to be going on just outside the frame of the art, so she was really taken with that concept.
Rebecca claims that her planning is pretty dry, and it's just a bunch of charts. She had stuff like Fusion names and weapons from the beginning, and of course she couldn't use them in her pitch because it didn't make sense without knowing the characters. Susana mentions that CN wanted the show to be aired in no particular order, and Rebecca mentions how it was hard to work with because she DID want continuity. Planting seeds in episodes and giving puzzle pieces that'd come together later worked for a long time, while still making each episode work as a whole and be satisfying. Later, when CN came to them wanting like eight related episodes, there they had the barn arc to give them--they had already planned to make this story related. She felt it aired in a "bizarre" way, but they comforted themselves on the Crew knowing someday people would watch it how it was meant to be watched. As a lead-up to the movie, CN IS going to air "every Steven ever," so people will actually get to see it in marathon format.
Batman: The Animated Series comes up and they discuss how censorship limited what they could do on that show because of problems with glass breaking. Susana says she actually really appreciates it when stories can still be told well despite the constraints put on them, and asks Rebecca if that applies to SU. Rebecca agrees that it does, and also that she loves stuff like video games that managed to function with ridiculously small space requirements. Developers still offered up such creativity, she says. So because of the beauty that arises from those constraints, she thought she should have constraints in her show on purpose, even if it isn't applied from outside. The most obvious one for this show was that we're trapped into only knowing and seeing what Steven knows and sees. "The Test" is a good example of Steven actually seeing something he isn't supposed to see: the Gems having a private conversation about him. According to her, plenty of stuff is written about what the Gems are up to outside of what Steven knows about them, and they can only kind of hint at it.
Coming from Adventure Time, there were some similar aspects. Rebecca got to work with some of her heroes from independent comics, and she got a lot of inspiration from them. On Adventure Time, it's our world but far in the future, and Rebecca would have loved to do something similar with Steven because she loved that aspect. Quite a few of the Adventure Time crew had come over from Flapjack and they thought it would be funny if the Adventure Time characters found a tape of Flapjack. As much as it would have been cool to take that idea for her show, that was theirs, so Steven's is more like it's our Earth but in an alternate timeline where Gems invaded 6,000 years ago. She rattles off some known similarities and differences of our two worlds, and elaborates on how Hollywood is in Kansas because in that world Disney never left where they started. Laugh-O-Gram Studio took off like it didn't in our timeline. She has a ton of other info like that but it won't matter to reveal it until or unless it matters to Steven. (She also throws in that Harman-Ising could be Ising-Harman in her world if they never figured out how cute it would be to have it the other way.)
When Susana asks about how she took so many details and managed to make a pilot with enough of them that she could get a show with it, Rebecca takes a turn into discussing working on Hotel Transylvania (for just a month!) with Genndy Tartakovsky. She had been planning to have a month off, but then Genndy asked, so she of course couldn't say no and felt she learned a ton. (She wrote the Steven Universe theme song in the car during that commute, by the way, given that she had a lot of time to sing and be alone.) When she hit Genndy with some of her ideas, he advised her to slim the details down and just boil it into its essence--who are the people and what is their relationship to each other? She still uses that advice, trying to condense things from macro to micro. She has succeeded since in figuring out how to keep the complexity and still assert the simplicity. Ultimately, you can keep those details but you don't have to emphasize them if they're not feeding into the main point. They'll drag the piece down. They discuss Genndy's role as the Animation Director on her pilot, which happened when she was asking if he knew anyone and he ended up saying he'd do it himself. She was so shocked that he agreed to direct her pilot that she was dazed and ran into a pole in the parking lot. The whistling of the wind through the resulting dent always made her giddy because she was thinking she would be working with Genndy.
Susana then turns to discussing Rebecca's influences and brings up Revolutionary Girl Utena. Rebecca mentions that she initially saw Utena because a person named Connie lent it to her in high school, so that's where SU's Connie's name comes from. Rebecca points out how hilarious Utena is in addition to being beautiful. She felt it was formative because Utena was "gender expansive and bisexual." Rebecca saw the movie first (which she doesn't recommend doing), then saw the series and then the movie again. She wanted to understand why the characters were turning into cars. (Chronicler's note: I was equally baffled by the Utena movie's car chase and car transformation stuff in the early 2000s. I did not know what to make of it.)
Rebecca elaborates on Utena and art influences, saying she loves to trace artists' influences to see where their pieces were coming from. She saw that Utena is very influenced by Princess Knight, and she was thrilled to visit places in Japan that influenced Osamu Tezuka. The Takurazuka Theatre is in Tezuka's town, and Rebecca describes how every show there is performed only by women. She felt that having this theater there influencing Tezuka certainly inspired him to include gender expansiveness in his work. The influences are so obvious when you look at the sources, and now all of this that came through Tezuka's work then through Utena then to Rebecca is so incredible.
When Susana brings up trends and how magical girl stuff influenced today's creators, Rebecca says she prefers not to think of it as a trend really because some of what's roaring out in popularity now was always around but was actively prevented from being made in the past. She talks about watching Tenchi Universe (the "Universe" part of SU came from Tenchi!) and Sailor Moon on CN, knowing it wasn't American, but she didn't really realize it "didn't belong" on the network, and felt that her access to influences was really unusually open--especially since her dad was an animation nerd and had a bunch of unusual stuff that influenced her, especially stuff that gave her a peek into how animation actually worked and knowledge that she could be one of the people making it. If she could call anything a trend now, it's that that sort of access is now available to more people because of the interconnectedness of the Internet and how we're so much more capable of influencing each other now.
They then discuss some anime stuff they had been exposed to and how Rebecca helped with an intro to Whisper of the Heart which is her favorite movie. She discusses how that movie (and Kiki's Delivery Service) are good representations of creative processes and sometimes what happens if an artist is blocked. She thinks the actual craft and work associated with the process is more important (and more interesting) than talent. Rebecca adores artists who take notes and figure out how to make their stuff good versus a specific moment of inspiration or an artist just "bleeding" their talent on everything. Art is a craft! You can study it! This is front and center in Whisper of the Heart. Rebecca discusses the Russian movie Film Film Film (which influenced the Zircons' design), and it has a writer character who is afraid that his process will destroy something inspired by a muse. She thinks it's a really interesting look at process.
Next they discuss a science fiction story in another format: the book The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. LeGuin. Kat Morris lent Rebecca the book while they were roommates at the very beginning of when the show was starting. She loved seeing how the world worked in the book through the way they treated the main character. They also discuss the artist Jules Feiffer, who Rebecca had a relationship with because she carpooled with his nephews. They gave her a book of his called A Barrel of Laughs, A Vale of Tears. She loved it so much, especially how it deconstructed fairy tale tropes. One story was about a prince whose special ability made people close to him laugh themselves senseless, so he really couldn't have a relationship with anyone. She considers this an influence on Pink Diamond as a character. The SU character Sadie was named after this book's character Plain Sadie.
Next, Susana asks about musical influences for the show. Rebecca names Patti LuPone first. She saw Patti as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd and remembers seeing her playing the tuba in this weird arrangement where the cast was also the orchestra. She was so impressed. When she later wrote to Patti asking her to be Yellow Diamond, she referenced learning from her that a person could be so dramatic that it's funny and vice versa. She also has a "chills" moment from a different show, during "Everything's Coming Up Roses," where the character she's playing is imagining an audience going wild but the actual audience IS going wild.
As they discuss how the upcoming movie is a musical, Rebecca talks about going home with Ian after work and putting on musicals or movies based on TV shows so they can "study" for what they're doing. She'd take notes about what works and what doesn't and why. She loves these old movies that dissolve into total weirdness by the third act. She references Ziegfeld Girl and Busby Berkeley movies, which were an influence on Homeworld's style. She subscribes to a philosophy attributed to Bob Fosse that characters have to be feeling something strongly if they're compelled to sing. She makes a reference to A Goofy Movie as a movie that moved from a TV show to a movie. She wished that movie had more songs.
Susana and Rebecca discuss the movie, some intense moments, the history of Goofy and how different some of the old versions of him are, and how a description of Goofy by Art Babbitt was influential on her. She loves that cartoons can be so many things, and she adores studying moments from them and incorporating them. There are some really horrifying discoveries you can make, but you can also reinterpret some of the beautiful moments and stir them together to get new brilliance.
Susana says many songs in Steven Universe become the centerpiece of an episode, but in "Mr. Greg" it's more like a typical musical even though it's an episode of a cartoon show. Rebecca agrees that it was great practice for the movie. She was more moved by that episode coming back than any other so far by that point. She also felt that "For Just One Day Let's Only Think About (Love)," the song, was a great practice musical song--especially since there's all that chatting in between singing. That song was really influenced by A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum's song "Comedy Tonight." She finds those kinds of musicals so much fun. She was influenced in "Mr. Greg" by Victor/Victoria--specifically the song "Crazy World" when the camera is panning around the protagonist (who's wearing a suit). They're of course dated, but they contain beautiful moments. She took home some of the Pearl drawings from "It's Over, Isn't It" when she went to the studio in Korea. (Yes, Steven Universe is animated on paper, though the color is digital.) Elaborating on "Mr. Greg," she says the episode became much simpler and sweeter--originally there was some intense stuff in there, like Pearl picking up cars and throwing them at Greg.
Back to the movie, Susana points out that Rebecca's been studying how to make a conversion to a cinematic story versus a really long TV episode. What makes something feel like a movie? Rebecca struggles to figure out how to talk about it without saying too much. She figures you have to dig into the fundamentals of the show--make a movie about something new, but something basic. She loved the Dexter movie and it was so smart. Rebecca has a weird connection to the Beavis and Butt-Head movie too (some of her crew worked on the movie!), but she thinks even that movie is smart because they're all about watching TV and in the movie their TV is taken.
Susana then asks about the movie length format and how it felt from going from a very short TV format to a movie. Rebecca's word to describe it is "terrifying." The episode "Change Your Mind" was 44 minutes and that was a ridiculously long format for them--but it carried the extra baggage of tying up so much of what they'd dumped into the show. Rebecca said they couldn't really even "feel good" about finishing it because the immediate next step was something that was so much more of everything hard about "Change Your Mind." Rebecca elaborates on the elements that were ramped up for the movie and concludes "What I'm trying to say is I'm really tired." She's really, really excited for us to see it. It's so different than a bunch of episodes tied together, even if it was eight "Mr. Greg" episodes. All the pieces have to be awesome and then tied together have all the pieces inform each other. She remembers being impressed by anime as a kid because it usually told interconnected stories, and she thought that would be really hard; turns out self-contained episodes are even harder, and she has to kind of do both on her show. She thinks of her songs like that too--they must be good on their own, but they enhance each other by all being part of the same work and building something better together.
Finally, Susana asks what comes next after Steven Universe--one day, when the show does end, what does Rebecca want to do? Well, take time off, write some guitar songs, write poetry no one will ever see, and so on. Rebecca says that her head is really in SU now though, and there's so much more to do--yes, there is more to tell that comes after the movie, and she wants us to know there are also stories that belong in that two-year gap between the end of "Change Your Mind" and the beginning of the movie, but she feels this is a good place to stop talking. She's so excited about everything we have yet to see.

JMO STYLES collection. These designs were inspired by Jen’s looks. I am in absolute adoration of Jen’s styles. I always wish and dream to have her closet, but I either don’t have the money or I don’t have the self confidence to wear her looks. So I decided to enjoy her outfits, not just through her grace and beauty, nor through photos, but through art as well. Which is the reason why I made designs out of her fashion. Here are the 4 designs I made so far: - Purple Spring is inspired by Jen's floral print bustier & purple-green pencil skirt by Philosophy at SDCC 2013. - Floreale is inspired by Jen's floral maxi dress by Giambattista Valli at SDCC 2016. - Flower Pearls is inspired by Jen's "Paige" jumpsuit by Mother Of Pearl at Dutch Comic Con 2019. - Floral Philosophy is inspired by Jen's red silk floral print maxi dress by Philosophy at Dutch Comic Con 2019. Hope you enjoy the designs! ♥ There will be more to come...

Halloween 2019 costume ideas: Power Rangers pt. 2
Tumblr media
Jason Bischoff’s Beast Morpher Rangers
Jason Bischoff was the former global marketing guy for Hasbro and is an artist.
He is a genuine fan of tokusatsu (mentioned Kamen Rider on his Twitter and his love of Ex-Aid and several Heisei Rider shows) and it shows. In his final months with Hasbro, he and a buddy of his named Micheal O’ Hare came up with art for concepts of new Rangers not original to the Go-Busters source material.
The first is a Green Ranger based on the Frog Buddyroid from the Go-Busters Summer Film, “what if she had a Ranger companion”?  The next is a gray Polar Bear Ranger and an Orange female scorpion Ranger based on Jason’s viewings of Kyuranger and Sasori Orange.
A Bat Ranger based on Blaze, a “what if the bad guy reformed and got a new suit” kind of thing. (though given its Batman’s 80th, you could also use it as an excuse to go around saying in a gravely voice “I’m Bat-Ranger!”)
Lastly, a Magenta Sea Urchin Ranger and Hammerhead Beast Bot for you and a buddy to dress up as.
X-Men/Power Rangers Amalgam
Tumblr media
A while ago at the Edmonton Expo in Alberta, Canada, Jason David Frank discovered a cosplay that had to be seen to be believed. A Canadian fan mixed the White Ranger with Wolverine. Mr. JDF then posted this to instagram
Now, this isn’t the first time that X-Men and Power Rangers have crossed paths as both shared the Fox Kids block on Saturday Mornings in the 1990s and a SDCC gatefold variant cover paid tribute to X-Men #1. Not to mention MMPR’s comic rights were once with Marvel and the whole Marvel/Super Sentai connection. The idea of X-Men Rangers is an interesting one, why not complete it?
Cyclops Red, Jubilee Yellow, Beast Blue, Pink Phoenix (if considering season 2 MMPR), Gambit Black and Rouge Green. As an alternative to Wolvie, Storm can be the White Ranger or added as the 7th Ranger team member of any color you choose. Add a Professor Z (a tube head in a hover wheelchair or a blue bald guy) and you have the complete set! Or go wild and make a Brotherhood of Mutants version of a Ranger Team!
Lord “Zackkon”
Tumblr media
Submitted for your approval, one Zachary Taylor, a virtuous teen who was offered a deal with the devil to be something greater, but refused. What if the youth, resentful of the choice of his team’s leadership, accepted the path that Rita Repulsa offered?
I envision a Black Ranger who fuses his power first with the Dragon Coin, but then with powers of Green and Black Rangers after him. The core idea is to combine the Mastodon motif with a Dragon in a way that aesthetically looks good.
Remi, the Orange Solar Ranger
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Ari’s Legacy Wars Bio confirms it!)
Last year, I pitched to the fandom to option dressing up as newest kid on the block, Ari aka the (Purple) Solar Ranger. This year, I’m submitting her life partner and love Remi who became the most recent addition to the Solar Rangers and another of a growing number of representatives of LGBTQ+ heroes. For those looking to cosplay with the person they love or for a fun cosmic night of Halloween, here is a Ranger couple that we hope to see more of in the future.

A Morphing Master
The Morphing Masters are the mysterious all powerful beings who protected the Morphin Grid and dedicated their lives to studying it. The Boom! Studios comics dedicated some time to explaining them a bit more in Beyond the Grid, including a new look.
Why be a mere three dimensional linear being on All Hallow’s Eve or at a con when you can wear a look that says “I am a supreme being beyond your trivialities and I look fabulous doing it.”
Tumblr media
Warbunny
Aka my new favorite Power Rangers monster. Warbunny is a ‘roided up anthropomorphic rabbit whom, if his Conan inspired garb hasn’t telegraphed, talks like a certain former Governator and wields a large Warhammer that fires energy blasts. Cosplayers who do Warcraft costumes and other fantasy cosplay might gravitate towards this one since it parodies Arnie and Conan.

The Soul Era MMPR Rangers
In the comics, we learn there was a ill fated team in 1969 which fought Psycho Green. Pitch: What if there were a MMPR Rangers team 5 years later in 1975, the year Gorenger was created? The era of disco and soul, big cars, afro hair kung fu movies and Watergate. The challenge I present is combining the Gorenger suits with the MMPR suits.
Disco collar capes, platform heel variants of the boots, flashy brighter neon colors with glitter and woodgrain on the weapons because products in the 1970s had woodgrain even if it didn’t make any aesthetic sense to do so. Civilian forms would be based on 1970s fashion, at least one Ranger should have a real or fake Burt Reynolds-sized mustache and/or afro for period accuracy.

Dark Super Megaforce Yellow
For Ranger fans who wanna let out their inner bad girl, I present another Dark Ranger redesign of a Power Ranger from Battle For the Grid. The Gokaiger suit decked out in black and pants and a gold trim “coat” is just so good, really makes the yellow pop and looks more “piratey” than the standard suit. As you can see you can opt for an all black undershirt and yellow gloves or vice versa.
A new standard Lord Drakkon created for evil Rangers is that unlike their heroic counterparts, all of them have blood red visors instead of the standard black tint. (This also recently extends to Sentai, but we’ll get to that later.)
Houou Ranger (Chun-Li ver.)
While Ryu got to play Power Ranger, the devs of Legacy Wars decided to let none of the other characters participate in the fun. Many fans who love and respect Chun-Li were naturally outraged that she got shafted and began speculating what kind of Blue Ranger she would be. There was artistic debate as to what motif she would have with most gravitating towards a tiger, a peacock or her totem of fighting style, the crane.
I on the other hand think if Ryu lifted a Dairanger’s name for his Ranger form, it only makes sense the developers would do the same for Chun Li and give her a Chinese Phoenix motif.
The common consensus all fans share is that such a form has parts of Miss Li’s costume as part of her Ranger outfit much like with Ryu Ranger with his boxing gloves, bandanna and black belt. Whatever you choose, you are sure to be a knockout!

Supersonic Green
The first Green gone bad chronologically in the comics, Trek was a bitter Xybiran who got sick of being benched while his team went on missions and soon that bitterness turned into hate as he empathically read the feelings of his teammates about him. He murdered his entire team and then pledged allegiance to Dark Specter to become Psycho Green.
The Fiveman team these Supersonic Rangers are based on never had a sixth ranger, since sixth Rangers were not really a thing until Zyuranger. This bring up one conundrum for this Ranger in terms of those wishing to design a full costume...what exactly is Trek’s helmet motif?
For those who have never seen Fiveman, the theme was about types of school education each Ranger was part of. Red was a science teacher, Blue was a physical education teacher, Black was a language teacher, Pink was a math teacher and Yellow was a music teacher.
I suppose a history book on the helmet for social studies would be appropriate as would be an apple or money symbols for home economics. It should be noted if one commits to making a helmet, the Fiveman/Supersonic Ranger helmet visors each have lines running through them to signify their numerical designation (Red has 1, Blue has 2 etc.) so Green would have six.
That’s all I’ve got!
Happy Halloween Ranger Nation!
