We see Jack at Kasutoru's, sitting down on the floor next to a table, calmly sipping some tea. He hears a knock at the entrance.

Kuraima: "M-mister Jack? A-are you in here?"

Jack: "…?"

Jack: "Kuraima…? What brings you to-"

Kuraima is stares up at him sheepishly and reveals his arm covered in bloody bandages.

Jack: "...Ah…."

Inside, Jack inspects and unravels the bandages on Kuraima's arm.

Jack: "Did you… dress these yourself…? It's surprisingly… well done…."

Kuraima: "Yes! Thank you! I didn't want to bother anyone, and since this job comes with a lot injuries, I've learned how to take care of- Augh!!"

Kuraima winces as Jack applies the medicine on his arm.

Jack: "Sorry…I should have said something…" Kuraima: "It's okay… It j-just surprised me."

Jack grimaces as he looks at the wound.

Jack: "This… looks pretty bad… Does Clarice… know you're here…?" Kuraima: "No… I didn't want to worry her."

He pauses.

Kuraima: "P-Please don't tell her I came here?" Jack: "Kuraima…. You know I will…"

Kuraima frowns as Jack stands up to walk over to his medicine cabinet.

Jack: "You shouldn't move too much… for the next 2-3 weeks. No strenuous activities…. No fighting."

Kuraima: "!"

Jack: "I want you to rest… and focus on recovering. I know… you're a light sleeper… So I'll give you something… to aid that."

Kuraima: "But... what if Clarice needs me? If she's going someplace dangerous, I have to be there to protect her!"

Jack: "Then Clarice will just have to wait… on going anyplace dangerous… now won't she?"

Kuraima fidgets nervously. Kuraima: "She shouldn't have to wait because of me…"

Jack turns to face him.

Jack: "Kuraima… This is exactly why… I tell her about your injuries." "She's a smart girl… But she's not a mind-reader. It doesn't matter… how good you are at strategizing….. if you don't know… everything you need... to plan correctly…."

Kuraima looks away.

Kuraima: "I just don't think she should have to limit herself for my sake. My job is to keep her safe. What use am I to her if I can't even do that?"

Jack huffs. Jack: ("It's so difficult to get through to this boy…")

Jack: "...Alright, then. Say we don't tell her... and you ended up needing to fight for your lives."

Jack taps Kuraima's infected arm.

"I can tell you with certainty… that if you tried to take care of this by yourself... and left it alone for another week… you would've lost your arm."

Kuraima: "…!!"

Jack: "Had you gone to battle... your wounds not fully healed..." "Under those circumstances… What do you think could happen…?"

Kuraima: "……"

Jack: "All I'm saying is… if it isn't dire… wouldn't you agree that it'd be smarter… to wait until you've recovered?"

Kuraima stays silent.

Jack: "She needs you, Kuraima… And being needed… means sometimes… you must let others to take care of you… so that you can properly take care of them." Jack: "Do you understand?"

Kuraima: "….." Kuraima: "I just…" Kuraima: "I just want to be useful to her…"

Jack: "I know." Jack: "Just remember… Even if she doesn't show it well… she cares about you. You'll always be worth something to her… if not as a bodyguard… then as a dear friend."

Kuraima looks up, slightly abashed.

This interview with one of the SDL scriptwriters came out earlier in the week and I was struck by this one thing she said about Mafin:

“Queríamos que fuera también divertida, romántica, un poco hot” (“We wanted it to be fun, romantic, a little hot too.”)

A little hot?! My first thought was how does she not know it’s sooooo much more than a little? And then realized her sense is probably based on straight couples on tv in Spain, where I know they often have very explicit scenes.

I think she just doesn’t have enough (any) experience as a sapphic viewer - because if you’ve watched enough tv and movies looking for rep, you know how dire it can be in this area. And how SDL and Marta and Alba have really made unusual efforts to convey that there’s a sexual relationship there, even when they’re not literally having sex. This is not to say that we shouldn't express our frustrations/disappointments when Mafin don't get the explicit scenes that we think they should, but I believe that one of the significant things that sets them apart from any other lesbian ship is the way they effortlessly weave desire into almost all of their interactions. The way every casual interaction turns heated, like this one over breakfast from the other day:

The kind of heat they generate between them a year into this thing is usually reserved for the first month or two with other ships (maaaaybe if you're lucky the ship breaks up and they get the heat back when they reunite, but it's often just completely abandoned after the honeymoon phase). I'm so grateful for what the actresses bring - which is not a little but A LOT HOT!

Ok so idk how to start it but warnings ahead this post might have *spoilers* on it about Sueños de libertad talking about the Mafin storyline and a bit around it I guess?

So theories time.

So far episode 85 has killed us with *THAT* spectacular makeout session. But with Jaime🐟 (el pescador) finally getting front row seats to the action and catching them on the act I bet we all have some questions about what might happen next?

So, few things that we know so far from the leaks and posts that the cast has made until now:

1. We know that Fina would like to kiss marta on episode 120 from a leak of a script so the hope for them to stay together (or get back together, or get acknowledged again) until then is high.

2. We know that Jesus Olmedo has finished filming for Sdl according to a story that one of the girls that work in production has posted

And we know that they filmed episode 145 around that day according to another story from her from the same day (kind of hard to understand exactly) but makes sense since they film a bunch of different episodes at the same time

So that means that around that episode is the last episode that we will see Jaime🐟 and that his death/disappearance should happen before episode 161 because of another leak of a script that happened before by Isabel around that same day where she posted (and deleted) a video showing her stack of new scripts to learn. In them you could catch a glimps of those scripts (I enhanced the image as much as I could)

You can see in the corner of the script that it says "Cap. 161." Meaning that the script was of episode 161.

So somewhere between those episodes Jaime will be gone for good.

3. This picture of Marta that was posted on ig by her cast mate showing that Marta de la reina is wearing 2 rings

And many people believed that this is a confirmation for the death of Jaime🐟

But then, yesterday's episode and Marta's comment on that tweet has made me think differently...

Marta said to be careful with our expectations because look what happened with the fotograFa (that people thought she was going to be a big deal, maybe even date Fina... and at the end she barely said 1 line and was gone).

So it got me thinking, what if the 2nd ring isn't about Jaime at all? What if it's the ring that Fina got from her dad? What if around episode 160+ Fina and Marta get committed in some way with exchanging rings? Maybe it's a promise? Maybe it's nothing?

I kind of lost my mind writing all of that so I hope you can forgive me for not making sense at this point...

Riddle watches New Wish - Post #3

Oh, I was right- Wanda called Cosmo out for his crown still showing. That's a good way to signal to the audience that they're mystical.

Purple toe sandals! The artists were havin' FUN with colored shoes.

I'm a little surprised they went the direction of making Cosmo's design rounder and Wanda's thinner since, y'know... she's always been implied to be bigger than him, but hey! They both look great and I'm excited to see them with new body types.

I am obsessed with the fact that even in the new 3D style, the characters still default to holding their hands in that little bird-wing position. That is A+. Someone put a lot of thought into this.

Hazel, your hallway has a way cool rug.

It's a very snappy, jolty art-style. I think that works. I hope it doesn't make me motion sick, but I think it'll be fine.

SLKDFJ I'm on the floor, we're getting Hazel's parents' names straight out of the gate (Angela and Markus Wells).

AND A ROOM NUMBER? I am getting SPOILED. It's like this was made for me!

Friendship ended with Dimmsdale; my new best friend is city where we have more house numbers than 4158.

Cosmo, you are playing a dangerous game using magic in front of them. What did you need to change that you didn't know before?

Wanda too? Oh baby, we are SO back! Take me back to the days of Wanda cheering for Timmy to pour way too much liquid into his science experiment.

The welcome basket has a portrait of Cosmo and Wanda and they're gushing over it and saying "You're welcome! :)" and Angela is just like "... okay. I'mma head out."

Cosmo was about to floor me by saying Fairies have to be invited indoors, so I'm glad Wanda corrected him immediately.

Tbf, in Fairy World, "Doors are for chumps."

I'm glad Cosmo and Wanda both forgot how to sit on couches, seeing as most of the seating in Fairy World floats.

Mom's a therapist? That's never gone poorly for anyone in my fanfics before! ... Also, that's immediately gonna set up some plot tension when Hazel starts keeping secrets.

HER PICTURE ON THE BOOK IS 2D, I'm cracking up. Seriously, I think the running gag here is that all photos look like this. That is HILARIOUS.

Actually I'm on the floor; there is something so very funny about her giving Cosmo a book and him being excited about it, citing it as a "smart person present," when he's canonically a guy whose deepest, darkest secret is that he writes about astrophysics in a culture where Fairies think stars are also Fairies (alongside his children's books and blatantly 4th-wall-breaking books), so he doesn't let anyone know he writes. Ever.

I know that's not going to come up in this show because that detail is from "77 Secrets of the Fairly OddParents Revealed" (though he's confirmed the author of Astrophysics For Morons which Timmy found in the library once), so... chances are minuscule the writers for this show know he's also an author who likes "smart people books," but... I know. And I love him. Oh, there are places we can go with this!

Today has been nice.

Answered a Medicine test from 8 to 9am. I wasn't prepared for it , like at all , nothing nada. OK maybe just one topic . Snake poisoning. That came in the paper though. Everything else I wrote on basis of what I've learnt in the first 2 years of med school.

From 9-10 am ,attended PSM lecture .

10am to 1 pm , attended peds clinics , I has to present the case today , it went well. Learnt stuff.

Fmt lec didn't happen, at 3 pm had an ent class on tracheostomy which got over like in 35 min.

Went home , had snacks.

Just as I was about to start studying my brother suggested we go to the gym .

It was my first time at the gym !

Came home ,

okay so i know i forgot to post for a few days 😭 so here's what happened:

19/10: saturday

first dissection!! AND I VOLUNTEERED AT OUR TABLE AND DID IT!!

20/10: sunday

...somehow i wasted the entire day

21/10: monday

more dissection. more wasting of time

22/10: tuesday

i TRIED to study, okay? but well...

23/10: wednesday

✓ woke up at 5 am

✓ read and made notes on erythropoiesis

✓ read a bit about the femoral triangle

? morning lectures were about stress management and interpersonal relationships? idk i read @athenaareia 's fanfic during it

✓ had a sdl class about erythropoiesis but they finished the q/a before they reached my roll no, :(

✓ more dissection!!! saw the femoral nerve, artery and vein and the profunda femoris artery. accidentally cut a vein and tendon (?) though that was my DT mate's fault, not mine

? came back to the hostel, couldn't study/do ANYTHING in the evening because of hostel stuff and also seniors dealing *ahem* ragging *ahem* with us

! one of the girls on my floor kept yapping for SO LONG and i, as usual, was to awkward to tell her to go so... yeah. yapped and vibe matched with her for 2 entire hours.

✓ finally found the time to read about the hip bone (a bit?)

✓ drew the anterior view and lateral view of the hip bone

honestly, I can't help but feel that in doing NOTHING here. everything is going too fast and I don't understand half the stuff taught in anatomy classes. i adore biochem atp.

also there's a lizard above me. im scared to sleep.

but I am sleepy. i slept through the physio equipment demonstration and people NOTICED like they asked me after class if I was alright so... yeah.

this is despite the fact that I slept 8 entire hours yesterday

so what I've come to realise is that regardless of how many hours I sleep, I'm still gonna be sleeping during lectures

solution? imma wake up at 4/5 am and study. yoohoo. (it's about 1 am rn fyi)

BC Row – let`s play with little cubes, bowling with space

Little game about little fantastic cubes. You are aiming and as in bowling try to hit little cubes at the other side of the screen. Pseudo three dimensional effect. Size of your little cube is going less according you closer to other side. Simple pseudo three dimensional game. Little cubes at the other side are keeping their position 5 seconds, and after this, they are generating with a new position.

Everything is going with the reduction, decrease. For example, level has 3 little cubes. You knock off three cubes. Now two cubes will appear. You knock off two cubes. Now 1 little cube will appear. And only after it goes to digit 0 – level will be complete! So, everything is about a starting digit with the numbers of cubes. For the first level it is small digit. 1, for example. For last level – there will be 4.

This means, that at the last level you need to knock off, at first, 4 little cubes. Later, there will be 3 of them to appear. And you knock off 3. Later, it will be to appear 2. You knock off two. And appear 1 little cubes. You knock off 1 little cube. And only now level will be complete.

It is not hard. And game is not long at all. So, I even, raise amount of levels double time. And it is double levels. So, levels are duplicated. First level, as idea, repeats two times. And so on. First two levels – about one little cube. With level three and four – about two little cubes. And this way up to four little cubes. For level seven and eight.

Little cubes are generating random way with a required amount. And they keep their position whole 5 seconds. And after this, they, again, generate a new position.

Little cubes, they are colorful. Two colors. Bezel and little cube itself. Total 15 colors for selection. Background- it is black. Colors are with random way for cubes. And you need with your throwing little cubes to hit these cubes. As bowling. It was my analog. But here it is with little cubes. And fantastic. Look, lines are flashing in the sides. And they change their color.

So, it is something about tech. And about a future. It is somekind of fantastic. Maybe, it is electric devices. Or quantum little cubes. Who knows. Yes, simply little cubes. Abstract little cubes. Game with cubes! As you as a child play with little cubes! Different colors for cubes! What purpose? I don’t know! But they are colorful little cubes! And this is interesting! I am – that’s for sure, played with little cubes!

You just need knock off little cubes. Control is same as previous game – B Ball.

Everything is simple. And by the way it is so colorful. Flashing little cubes. And all space is generating again every 5 seconds. And this means new packs with colors you will see at the screen!

Idea for game – some fantastic bowling. Throw a little cube. And it flies. Pseudo three dimensional is everything here. So, it is decreasing in size. And do you can hit or miss. It is about sharpness. And everything to be colorful. So, this way, I make a realization for the idea.

Title game B C Row. First two letters – it is  initials after B B C Basic for Sdl 2.0. It is programmed with it! I am a fan to programming with Basic! Second word – it is row. You something like see little cubes – in a row. As bowling, once again. But with empty space.

Some more about little cubes! And little cubes have one hundred energy. And your hit takes 50 energy. And idea of the game with little cubes. As soon as I launch BBC Basic for Sdl2.0, so I start to think to make about little cubes!

Some game ideas about games with little cubes. Lots. Different. So, I learn a little already programming. And I have some materials about this sphere. With little cubes. So, I take as a base already made development. And make a new variation. And it goes so faster. And with more fun.

And main here – it is everything works! Little cubes!!!!! So, it is possible to made lots of ideas with little cubes! To programming everything. Program everything. It is so funny! When everything works! And not so hard!

1.3 Colour

WEEK3 SDL sketching and playing around in InDesign. I chose to use contrasting colours to help the poster stand out more. I quite enjoy the look of overlayed text and am wanting to use the same style in my final project. My favourite posters are 1,2 and 7 and my least favourite ones are 3 and 8. I like the use of negative space in my favourite designs and that the title is easily readable, I also enjoyed playing around with putting text into different shapes. The things I didn't like in my least favourite designs is that the titles are hard to read as they don't contrast very well with the shapes underneath them, and the black text didn't help. I also don't really like how dull the colours look, which made the designs look bland and flat.

• Typeface used to convey meaning. This typeface - named after the French-Swiss film director Jean-Luc Goddard - pays homage to the French New-Wave film movement of the 60's. This was a very influential period in the history of cinema which saw film makers reject traditional film making conventions and instead explored new approaches to visual style, narrative and political standpoint. This poster was designed for an exhibition which explores a similar movement, the historical Non-Aligned movement, which reflected on the spirit of independence and solidarity in the context of contemporary arts in Asia (https://carvalho-bernau.com/jean-luc/) • Capitals used for emphasis, to create a bold impression, to add a sense of importance. • Negative space used to create form - at first the light blue looks like a splatter of paint - 'or spores' (?) - but if you look more attentively you can see rows of people and faces, almost like an audience. • Colours often guide the viewers attention. This poster only uses two, which takes the focus off colour and instead enhances the composition and form. Despite saying that, blue and orange are opposites on the colour wheel and therefore they create quite a strong impression (a contrast of cool and warm tones).
