"Fictional gay parasocial enemy"?? PLEASE elaborate. Why would you and nighteye have beef. i gotta know.
I… cannot talk about self insert shit without putting it under a readmore it’s too embarrassing. This is embarrassing bullshit 🤣
(Note: I stopped reading the manga almost 4 years ago. Maybe he’s changed. Maybe he’s dead. Idk if he’s even been in the manga since the fuckin uhhh overhaul arc I don’t remember shit this is all from the version of boku no hero that lives in my head.)
So first off nighteye is a petty bitch. idc if he changed his tune about midoriya after overhaul he was just being petty because the guy he’s in love with wouldn’t listen to him (newsflash asshole you’re in love with the guy with the world’s biggest savior/self-sacrifice complex. you’ve known this the whole time). (Nevermind that I would also be a little upset if I Forsaw the death of the guy I’m in love with and he wouldn’t listen to me and try to prevent it.)
Secondly this would not be a one sided hatred. He would hate my SI so much. For. You know. Uhhhh getting his man. But he’d be so petty and sneaky about it. He would never be a bitch about it in front of toshi. My SI wouldn’t be a fuckin snitch. They would be perfectly pleasant to each other when he’s around. He would be very happy about his friend and his partner getting along so well. And then he leaves and nighteye and my SI drop their fuckin acts. It’s jealously on both ends. Well. More on his end. My SI did get the guy. And nighteye lowkey thinks toshi can do better (namely, that toshi should love him).(Another note: my SI doesn’t meet toshi until post-injury, they don’t get together until after kamino ward. Quite a while afterwards, but I don’t really have a *place* in canon where it happens bc again. I stopped reading 4 years ago. So nighteye and toshi are already friends again when toshi starts dating my SI.) I do think they can get over this (probably fairly quickly honestly) and mostly actually be friends but not until he fucking apologizes for being a jealous bitch.
So basically my SI is mostly mad that he’s being a petty bitch and thinks they aren’t good enough for toshi. And also that he was ever mean to Izuku. And his whole Thing makes me uncomfortable.

Omg I'm glad I found a fellow new teen titans hater (or at least critic) because while I think Wolfman had some really neat ideas it really amazes me how so much of what he's written for Dick is like the polar opposite of his character for 40 years and how people ignore that simply because they don't read golden/silver age batman... like I hate reboot Nightwing as much as anyone but it's crazy to me how people think he's always been the most anal about his moral code as if it didn't take years for him to develop it after watching Bruce (like in canon: https://64.media.tumblr.com/f20ae729d626788129a371dab7f790db/5b84ba907a5dc5f9-ac/s1280x1920/e0e719108502d4fa51364eb748450141fd1bcedd.png), or how he'd give up college/a day life to be Robin when in canon he was the one all gung-ho about going to college while Bruce hoped for him to stay home (and ironically enough Bruce quit Wayne Industries himself so he could focus full-time on being Batman lmao: https://64.media.tumblr.com/48945b33fa70a2bfbded0fe6c83017d0/68e853c82fce0d82-5a/s1280x1920/32e3b3ab44fa7364ca82eb63bb8c6d5bbbbb7132.png), or even that Dick wouldn't have the patience to mentor children or something when the literal purpose of creating Robin was to be a role model for children to relate to and sef-insert themselves as his friend, hence why he always excelled in school and sports and stuff...like Bill Finger even created this concept of "Robin's Regulars" to show that Dick liked kids and inspired them (https://4.bp.blogspot.com/_wpPLG-yJpJw/S5v2_3KXjdI/AAAAAAAADnM/1aOMBWuCmT0/s400/robinsregulars.jpg)... the good part is that NTT took place when Dick was just 18-19, I can easily pass it off as his angsty phase that he grew out of in the same way Peter's Ditko era is passed off as his edgy college kid phase in-universe that he outgrew thanks to his friends lmao
admittedly i think trying to ascertain any kind of moral code from bruce or dick in the golden age is a bit of a directionless endeavor bc the writers switched things up soooo often depending on whether they want to pander to morality or comedic value 😭 like there's a golden age issue where bruce quite literally lets= someone die in an electric whirlpool of some kind omds it was hysterical. but yeah interestingly with wolfman i like a lot of the things he did with dick as a character if i view them as developments resulting not only from his personal foray into adulthood but also from the distance that started to grow between him and bruce. it was completely logical for dick to reassess a lot of the things he wanted back when he thought it was going to be him and bruce forever versus at present when bruce clearly no longer wanted to sanction him being robin and dick took that to mean he wasn't good enough (even though bruce was merely being protective and trying to respect dick's own ability to choose his own path in life). the problem with wolfman is that rather than portray it as a series of newfound assessments made in context of newfound developments in dick's life, he wrote these assessments as if they had been lodged in dick's mind since the day he was taken in. which to me at least seems to diminish the significance of dick's development into a more agitated, hyper-emotional control freak. it's not supposed to be something that's always been there. it's more latent. dick's belief in himself with respect to his relationship with bruce sort of hung by a thread for the entirety of their tenure together. that's what happens when you let a nine-year-old become a vigilante and spend nearly nine years together thereafter fighting crime with him as your exclusive partner. it builds expectations, hopes, dreams. for his entire life dick was building up to this.. fantasy almost. and when he went to college it still wasn't so bad because even if there was a desire to be independent he still felt like he had bruce's support. the fantasy remained intact. it was only when dick started to realize that being in college hindered what he really wanted to do with his life, and then bruce opposed him on it, and then they proceeded to disagree on a number of other things—as respectfully as they could admittedly. that was the nice thing about the early 80s. they actually talked in the truest sense of the word—and then bruce finally cut the cord (so to speak) on robin existing as a required extension of batman, that the floodgates really opened. every latent positive emotion that dick had ever felt in his life because of what he believed bruce had given him unconditionally was suddenly up for dissection. and that's how you proceeded to get the neurotic ticking time bomb we know and love so well today. or at least that's how i like to conceptualize it in my head

are u ok with drawing self ship art (with an obvious given being that it's an appropriate ship, which it would be in this case)?
and would u be able to draw tv head/object head original characters? i have a sona/self-insert that's a human but with a tv head instead of a normal head lol, and i have plenty of refs of them too
thx for answering my silly ask!
Yep, I can do sef ship art! and yes, I can draw objects for heads

Sometimes I have this worry that I only want to go on T because I'm fetishizing gay men or whatever but like... First of all I'm literally bi, second of all I have been projecting onto male characters for years, third of all I have a male sef-insert OC, etc., etc., etc. Little kid Zombie was watching a TV documentary and was like man I wish I, too, lived in a society where I could declare myself a man and live as a man and everyone would treat me as a man. I wouldn't be allowed to get married but that's fine I don't want to get married anyway.
I... literally didn't have the language for what I felt and the TV docu was set up as hey look at this weird thing that can happen in other cultures not hey this is something that a lot of people feel and this is how one culture handles it.
Why didn't you realize you were trans until you were in your mid30s WELL YOU SEE IF NO ONE TELLS YOU THERE'S A NAME FOR WHAT YOU'RE FEELING YOU THINK YOU'RE JUST FUCKED UP

Internet Safety
(Casper x reader, 500 words, post-ending 3, T for language)
Tumblr media
“Casper. I need you to listen to me very carefully right now.”
You turn your phone around to face him, and he looks at you confused before reading aloud: “‘Immediate action required for your bank account.’” His brows knit as he looks up at you. “That sounds serious, are you in some kind of trouble?”
“No, no. Look at who it’s sent from.”
He reads the (incredibly phony-sounding) email address back to you, and then looks at you again, still confused.
You point at it. “This is what a scam text looks like.”
Casper narrows his eyes. He looks back at the text, then looks back at you. “But… it says your immediate action is required. Isn’t your bank account very important?”
You sigh. “It’s a lie, babe. They want me to click that link and put in my bank password. They’ll take that password to hack into my actual bank account, and then they’ll steal all my money.”
He still seems unconvinced. “But… what if you’re wrong?”
“You really are a scammer’s wet dream, you know that?”
He bristles slightly. “I do not want to risk not taking immediate action on my bank account.”
That gives you pause. “Wait, do they have banks in the underworld?”
“Yes? How do you think we deal with money?”
“Even in the underworld you have to deal with capitalism?” Honestly, you thought that his society was better than yours at that kind of thing. Though, maybe the whole ‘he was created for one purpose and that purpose is his job’ thing should’ve tipped you off. The billionaires of the mortal realm would love that shit. “Fuck, next you’re gonna tell me there’s capitalism in the afterlife, too.”
He shrugs. “I do not know. It is possible.”
“Please don’t say that to me. Anyway. If you’re gonna live in the mortal world for now, you’re gonna need to be able to tell what a scam looks like.”
“As far as I can tell, I cannot have a bank account here without an ID. Which, as I am not a citizen of this world, I do not have.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know I’m your sugar daddy from here on out. But there’s still plenty of stuff I want to help you not fall for. Like the fucking virus you gave my computer last week.”
He frowns. “It said I had won a prize.”
“Also, what if we have to forge some documents for you and get you an ID and bank account?”
There’s a hint of a smile on his face. “Are you looking to break as many of your world’s rules as I have mine? It will be much harder for us if we both have to go on the run.”
You pinch the bridge of your nose and heave an exaggerated sigh. “Point taken. Just. Please. If you get any texts, emails, or popups like this… come to me before you click anything, okay? The geek squad guys think I’m an idiot.”
“It is not—“
“So I told them that my idiot boyfriend is the one who clicked the link.”
He pouts, and it’s very, very cute. “Very well.”

you know it’s actually very strange because I am for the most ppart pretty chill nowadys but i really like angry music and violent (fictional) stories
which like yeah, i know those things aren’t mutually exclusive but the way I vibe with such things just feels strange sometimes
like I’m doing pretty good rn but just very much enjoy putting my sef insert through the wringer and in some (one) cases make the extremely mentally fucked up and objectively in the wrong
like… the cryptid in my most recent animatic, they’re tragically terrible. like they genuinely kidnap like half the smp and put them through so much. they’re a grieving child but also literally putting quite a few people through hell.
anyway that’s mostly besides the nonigsitant point i’m attempt to talk about.
i just think it’s interesting how this all has turned out I guess

How Do i Calculate The Thermal Efficiency of The Solar Water Heater
How Do i Calculate The Thermal Efficiency of The Solar Water Heater
To calculate the thermal efficiency of a solar water heater, you can use the Solar Energy Factor (SEF) and Solar Fraction (SF). The SEF is determined by dividing the energy delivered by the solar water heater system by the electrical or gas energy input into the system. A higher SEF indicates greater energy efficiency. The SF, on the other hand, represents the proportion of the total hot water energy provided by the solar system. The formula to calculate SF is: SF = (Energy delivered by the solar system) / (Total energy used for water heating). A higher SF signifies a larger contribution of solar energy to the heating process, indicating better efficiency.
Calculating the Thermal Efficiency of Solar Water Heaters A Comprehensive Guide by Jupiter Solar
Solar water heaters have become increasingly popular as an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution for meeting our hot water needs. Understanding the thermal efficiency of these systems is essential for both homeowners and businesses looking to harness the power of the sun to reduce energy bills and environmental impact. In this comprehensive guide brought to you by Jupiter Solar, we will delve into the intricacies of calculating the thermal efficiency of a solar water heater.Buy a best solar water heater from Jupiter Solar, www.jupitersolars.in .
What Is Thermal Efficiency?
Thermal efficiency is a crucial metric when it comes to evaluating the performance of a solar water heating system. It quantifies how effectively the system converts sunlight into usable hot water. A higher thermal efficiency means that a greater percentage of the sun's energy is being utilized, resulting in more cost savings and reduced dependence on conventional energy sources.
The Solar Energy Factor (SEF)
To calculate the thermal efficiency of your solar water heater, you can start by determining the Solar Energy Factor (SEF). SEF is a key indicator of a system's efficiency and is widely used in the solar energy industry.
Tumblr media
SEF = Energy Delivered by the Solar System / Electrical or Gas Energy Input
In simpler terms, SEF measures how much energy your solar water heater provides compared to the energy it consumes. A higher SEF indicates a more efficient system. To calculate the SEF, follow these steps:
Measure Energy Delivered: This is the total amount of hot water produced by your solar system over a specific period. You can typically find this information in your system's documentation.
Measure Energy Input: Calculate the amount of electrical or gas energy used by your backup heating system during the same period.
Plug the Values: Insert these values into the SEF formula. The resulting SEF will give you a clear picture of your solar water heater's performance.
The Solar Fraction (SF)
In addition to SEF, you can also use the Solar Fraction (SF) to assess your solar water heater's efficiency. SF represents the proportion of your hot water needs that are met by the solar system. A higher SF indicates a system that relies less on conventional energy sources.
SF = Energy Delivered by the Solar System / Total Energy Used for Water Heating
To calculate the SF, follow these steps:
Measure Energy Delivered: As mentioned earlier, this is the total hot water production from your solar system.
Total Energy Used: This includes the energy supplied by both the solar system and any backup heating source over the same period.
Calculate SF: Insert the values into the SF formula to determine the solar fraction.
Factors Affecting Efficiency
Several factors can influence the thermal efficiency of your solar water heater:
Solar Collector Type: The type and design of solar collectors used in your system can significantly impact efficiency. High-quality collectors with advanced technology tend to perform better.
Weather Conditions: Weather plays a crucial role in solar water heater efficiency. Cloudy days and reduced sunlight can temporarily decrease the system's performance.
System Maintenance: Regular maintenance ensures that your system operates at peak efficiency. Dust, dirt, and debris can reduce the effectiveness of solar collectors.
Location and Orientation: The geographic location of your solar water heater and its orientation relative to the sun affect its ability to capture solar energy efficiently.
By considering these factors, you can optimize your solar water heater's thermal efficiency, leading to greater energy savings and a smaller carbon footprint.
Conclusion
Calculating the thermal efficiency of your solar water heater is a fundamental step in assessing its performance and making informed decisions about energy usage. Understanding metrics like the Solar Energy Factor (SEF) and Solar Fraction (SF) empowers you to harness the full potential of your solar water heating system. Jupiter Solar is committed to providing you with the knowledge and tools you need to make the most of renewable energy solutions.
